@thingismyson: Here’s a clip from a video my friend Nico watched that involves a COD character that made me think of you if only bc Ghost is there (in AI chatbot form) and bc there is clearly struggling via dying in ventilation systems (your favorite activity) 💞
THANK YOU SAMMY I FUCKING LOVE BRITTNEY BROSKI (AND COD (AND DYING IN VENTS))
Dear game developers: making Quick Time Events optional is a disability access issue. I have lost count of how many games are unplayable to me and other folks with motor issues due to them being sodding mandatory
I'm okay with Quick Time Events. There, I said it....

I’m okay with Quick Time Events. There, I said it. Don’t worry; I’m aware that bad QTEs exist. After all, gamers often state categorically that they “love video games” knowing full well that bad games exist. Similarly, I’m fond of Quick Time Events despite the fact that many examples are quite awful. Quite a lot of them actually…
Let’s face reality: QTEs aren’t going anywhere, whether you like…
Joyce staying at the cabin with Hopper and El to keep them safe bc no one in Hawkins knows they’re alive. Will, Jonathan and Argyle staying at the Wheeler's bc they have more room and presumably aren't in danger like the others.
OH WAIT there's a witch hunt for the Hellfire club, which means all the boys are in danger from the townspeople. OH WAIT the boy who came back to life has returned from the West, the same boy whose assumed death jumpstarted this small town's curse in the first place! The same boy who apparently everyone and their fathers knew was gay...
THE END IS NEAR! THE GAYS ARE RESPONSIBLE!
+ Time jump early somewhere in between.
Now picture how that would look in an 8 episode story format, leading up to a final battle lasting about 2+ hrs, and that's loosely how s5 is gonna go down.
dude. foolish surviving a 3v1 inside a tiny obsidian box for over a minute, taking away most of the eggs health with phil before dying for the first time. making nuisance of himself, playing smarter not harder, operating as a distraction with half a heart and a dream as phil deals the final blows. then him and cellbit’s collaboration on their base, the large build and crazy fucking lava maze and decoy obsidian boxes making it impossible for the other team to destroy their egg in return. red team winning not by being the better pvp team, but by playing to their strengths - building, strategy, communication, and complete and utter chaos. they started preparing early, they made weapons, they built extensively and prepared traps and decoys. and with their gas masks and bombs and chainsaws and complete refusal to give up, they had to have been terrifying. if they played the tower defense strategy, they would have lost faster than green had. if they had spent time getting just armor and gear and none actually working on their base, they would have lost worse than blue. the red team won by playing smarter, grinding their ass off, and by turning the playing field into incomprehensible chaos even they couldn’t navigate. they didn’t even know where their egg was and they defended it perfectly. it was a well earned victory today - here’s to hoping there’s no repercussions
idk i think the beauty of saltburn is also in that its a mirror. so many people see what's looking back at them and we all have different demons and themes we pay attention to. oliver is a girlboss and a mastermind and the plotting was deliberate. oliver is lost and confused and every single plot was a failure. he regrets what he'd done and convinces himself of the opposite. he lies about regretting what he'd done to evoke sympathy. he hated farleigh and he kicked him out. he recognized farleigh for what he is to the cattons and humiliated him. he knows himself and others well. he has no idea what to do and how to be. lots of people get lost at saltburn
Not me thinking that Focalors gambit of killing herself + Hydro Archon Throne to save her people would have been a lot less complicated if Shiki had been nearby and amenable to trying it, as I doubt she'd have a good opinion of Celestia (Ei must have told her about why she was pursuing 'Eternity'). Imagine of Shiki was just... capable of killing all the gnosis herself. Wtf from everyone involved who had to live under Celestia's rules.
I recently just finished the Fontaine archon quest the other day. Overall, I thinnk the cutscenes were really cool and there were various aspects that were done well! But I also have Complaints about the story haha. Especially the last segment.
Anyways, to answer this ask!
I think the gnoses are 'killable' for Shiki -in Sumeru Nahida threatens to destroy her gnosis when negotiating with Dottore, so we know that they're not indestructible. However, destroying one would potentially awaken Celestia, which is likely to be Very Problematic from what we know of Teyvat's history so far. Ei would probably warn Shiki/Ayase off from running around and destroying gnoses, so even if she ends up involved in the Fontaine storyline somehow they would probably look towards a different solution.
