Accomplices and nothing more
Montrose Pretty insists it’s a business relationship. No matter what, he’s above it all, amused whereas it’s real to everyone else. He holds no gravity for the thoughts and feelings of others, simply having a grand old time. The world is a game to him, an act. That’s what Steeplechase is for. The people around him are simply immersed in their roles.
Of course he doesn’t care about Beef and Emerich beyond what roles they serve in the gang. They’re useful, and entertaining. And no matter what Montrose keeps his emotions at arms length.
Or so he tells himself.
Because he’s watching Emerich fully accept his death. And he can’t stop it, he needs to, he should, that’s— Emerich is a good asset, an invaluable team member. Yes, that’s it, he’s important strictly in the professional sense and Montrose should save him but he can’t. Neither can, Emerich is dead set on the guilt consuming his heart (does he really care that much? Why does Emerich care if some hard light thing died? Why does Montrose care if Emerich dies?) and insists upon his own sacrifice. And Montrose is losing his friend partner accomplice and he can’t stop it.
And he watches Emerich plunge into evil robot Nickelodeon slime and die.
And he just slowly falls to his knees and his chest hurts. Why does it hurt? Why does it feel like something inside him is dying too? And only then does Montrose realize how deeply he cared no matter how he denied it. It’s soul destroying almost, since he only realizes when it’s too late. He can’t do anything, can’t tell Emerich how much he meant, can’t ever show him the real him, can’t bring his Emerich back.
Montrose is peeled back, mask by mask, and it isn’t Montrose Pretty kneeling at the grave of Emerich but someone else, someone he thought long dead. And he grieves.
And then Emerich pops up behind a pillar, rambling about his newest invention. He doesn’t understand what he’s done, why would he? They all know they’re accomplices and will never be anything more. He feels stupid, and angry, and tricked. For one second he bled vulnerability and it meant nothing.
And Montrose refuses to ever care.
(So what happens when Emerich really does die, and the two are waiting for weeks for him to pop back up, rambling about some project and unaware of how much he’s hurt them? Does Montrose rehearse his dressing-down when lying awake at night in a bed that feels emptier than it used to? And when Beef finally gives in, accepts the loss, grapples with that wrenching guilt that he should’ve been the one to take the hit— does Montrose laugh at him? Still secure in the denial that it’s not real, that he’s never going to let Emerich get one over on him, force him to feel? Because what happens when it’s been years and he refuses to accept? Bitter that Emerich is taking so long. That Emerich thinks he’s toying with emotions that definitely don’t exist. Or perhaps he left them. Thought he was too good for them. Well Montrose doesn’t care. He’ll never care again.)

The dusky blue twilight of a hot summer day found Alexander and Jinana lounging somewhat languidly in his flat, the door to the balcony flung wide open. Alexander had left Jinana on the settee with the last few bites of the lemon and lavender cake they'd had for dessert to tune his telescope and light the lanterns, when suddenly he dashed back inside, breathless and with a twinkle in his eyes,
"Jinana, you must come and see this!" he said, quietly but with pure excitement shot through each syllable.
He seized Jinana's hand, pulling hir lightly to hir feet, and nigh ran back out to the balcony.
"Look," his voice dropped to a hushed whisper, and with his free hand he pointed to one of the larger potted bushes where sat a large butterfly, its wings a beautiful, almost iridescent blue.
"Oh!" came Jinana's soft gasp, coloured with awe, "a giant blue morpho."
"Mmh," Alexander nodded, "it's beautiful."
As they watched, the morpho delicately took flight and ascended into the darkening sky. Alexander and Jinana's hands were still joined as their eyes traced the graceful arcs of the butterfly's flight, and almost imperceptibly and as easily as breathing, they leant into each other.

Osomatsu-San Weed Headcanons
From someone who works in the industry and consumes a lot of weed
Osomatsu: Second most frequent smoker, loves every consumption method, is the dab KING! Loves everything, doesn't matter the kind, really loves the stuff that makes him kinda hazy and horny ngl. Looooves the high potency stuff that'll fuck him up, make him a silly ass mess. He will not turn down anything, he'll take a hit of that bong or joint, he'll do a big ass dab, anythinggggg. He likes edibles the least tho because they take too long to kick in for him, and he wants that instant high so much more, he's very impatient like that.
Karamatsu: Third most frequent (3 way tied with Jyushi and Totty) I think Karamatsu, as always, strives to look cool, and I think what he thinks is the coolest looking is joints and blunts, so I actually think he's spent a lot of time practicing how to roll really good. His shit NEVER boats... Also is an enjoyer of edibles, likes the baked goods more than the gummies and candies.
Choromatsu: Least frequent smoker. Sativas and hybrids gives him anxiety like you would not believe, it's gotta be a puuuure indica, and even then he can only take one or two hits before he is couch locked. And with shit that's only at like a 12-15% TAC or something soo... I think maybe I could see him every once in a while doing a small microdose edible to help with his mood, chill him out every once in a while!! Maybe even a higher CBD ratio like a 5:1 or a 10:1
Ichimatsu: Most frequent smokerrrrr! Loves hitting that bong, smoking those joints and blunts!! Likes taking dabs less than Oso, but likes them well enough! I think he's also up there with the potency because he's just smoking so frequently. He likes vapes the least, doesn't like the way they make his throat feels. The dude is constantly high, and you can always smell a very faint weed smell on him, it helps his anxiety a lot too. Sees it more as self medicating, but also good funtimes. You would not believe how great it feels when you're high as balls and a cat rubs up on your face, literal heaven.
Jyushimatsu: Third most frequent (3 way tied with Kara and Totty) He is the edible king, he loves edibles! I think he's one of those cases where he has to also eat a lot to get high, like 300mg is when it kicks in, but he likes it. He looooves being extra silly and wiggily. I don't think he likes the way the act of smoking feels all that much, that's why he sticks with edibles, BUT he'll take a hit every once in a while.
Todomatsu: Third most frequent (3 way tied with Kara and Totty) He's a vaper... I just... I get those vibes. He has a few different batteries, all blinged out and super cute, loves twirling it in his fingers and just holding it, looking cute, feels like he's holding a magic wand that makes him feel magical! I think he's more of a sativa smoker but will use indicas to help him sleep.

Alrighty!! Time for part 2 of Monkie Kid season 3 special talk for ep 3 and 4!! This time gonna talk in general rather than in order of the events.

Well for starters Macaque was ICONIC here!! Also adorablex3 From his expressions to his redemption (which we'll prob see more of next season x3) I LITERALLY DIED WHEN I SAW HIM TIED UP LIKE OMG MY BOY XDDDD also don't get me started on how gentle he was with lbd's host. WELCOME TO THE DAD SQUAD MY MAN!!
Edit: I totally forgot to add the "hero and warrior" part huh? ^^' that was also one of the best parts of the episode! The fact that Macaque kept saying "I'm not a hero" because he doesn't SEE himself as one. So MK sees what this is about and tells him to be a warrior! That hit so hard it killed me qwq and his face while MK said that it looked so puuuure TwT (I'll also like to add the amazing moment with both of them transforming at the same time they looked so cooooooolx33)
I'll also gonna go ahead and say I DIED from the dragonfruit content we got like, "don't you give up on me dragon girl!" I JUST CAN'T!! He was so worried the entire time for MeiTwT AND HE GRABBED HER BY THE CHEEKS! NOT EVEN THE SHOULDER THE CHEEKS!! AND HE CALLED HER BY NAME! HE HASN'T CALLED ALMOST ANYONE BY NAME!! and then the hug at the end omG I'M GONNA CRY!!! He was leaning on her tooooo QwQ the shippers ate good those 2 days UwU
Let's also talk about the interactions we had with Macaque and Wukong cause I honestly loved every second of it! I'll be real I don't really ship it, I mostly see them as a sibling dynamic. I was super excited with the fight scene and the fact that we had some parallels from their first fight!! (now if that was on purpose for us to talk about or to make the animation quicker idcUwU) I'll add here the fact that we FINALLY got to see the monkey king use his freaking laser eyes!! I seriously got hyped there!! X3 and then we go towards the end with them bickering like the bros they are XDD it was super adorable and it killed me how cute and funny it was! I also appreciate how they didn't go with saying "I'm nothing like him" at the same time, making it more realistic!
Now going to the epic final fight!! It was truly a sight to behold!! The way we got everyone helping out was just beautiful!! And the animation was the cherry on top!!
I also wanna give some spotlight to our villain here! It's really cool that we got some backstory at the start of the 3rd ep. And you have no idea how I screamed when we got a reference from the original journey to the west, where lbd transformed into a young girl, an old lady, and an old man afterwards! I can't help but get excited when they do things like that!!! We also got more about the mayor! And how apparently he AIN'T one of the corrupted/ possest people and how apparently he also ages old! But the fact that we don't know wat happened to him after the defeat of lbd kinda concerns me... And talking about defeat, while I did want her ded after what she did to my boy, I kinda felt bad to how done she was afterwards, how she had accepted her "destiny" hehe... Also with what she said to MK about their pursuit always leading to pain I can't help but think we in for sth more angsty than what we got now sooooo... Ready ur tissues next season and let's pray that they get a little break before that qwq.
Finally! Leaving my fav part for the end! MK and Wukong!(this one is gonna be longerxD) This whole situation started because monkey king decided to deal with lbd alone to protect the others.(and mostly MK let's be realUwU) I can't imagine what both monkey king AND MK were dealing with after lbd's cheap shot with possessing the king. The first time Wukong tried to attack MK he got saved last minute by Macaque! The 2nd time Wukong manage to break control for a few seconds thanks to MK!! Not only did he not hurt him, but he even threw him out of the way to make sure he doesn't end up doing sth worse to the kid!! 3rd time saved by Macaque AGAIN! (TY MY EMO MONKEY!!) And thank GOD the fourth time was the last, and our king finally broke free thanks to MK's trust!! And talking about trust, that's what I love about them. During the whole special, MK believed in The king, he knew that he was fighting for control! He trusted him so much that during the 4th attempt to hit MK, he didn't flinch! He knew Wukong was heading towards him and he didn't turn his head for a second nor did he try to defend! Giving Wukong the strength he needed to break free! (God the hug after that was adorable qwq)
And not just MK, Monkey king also trusts in MK's strength! When the kid went to confront lbd Wukong was the one who stopped the others from interfering. Trusting that MK was more than capable on handling the situation!
And during the end, the whole apology scene was everything I wanted to see! At first I thought MK was gonna be the one to start the conversation, but I'm really happy that Monkey king approached him instead. He was aware that he messed up and that he could obviously tell that the kid was still somewhat upset about it. He knows he's a bad mentor and honestly idk why people expect him to be amazing at it.
This is the monkey king we're talking about! The same guy that made an entire mess up in the celestial realm cause he wanted to be called "great sage equal to heaven". He still has a long way to go to be able to learn how to properly teach but he will try! He's trying for his kid. It's good that they finally got the time to talk about it cause that will make their bond even stronger now!(also the fact that he said "I'm sorry MK" and not bud is so sweet qwq) Honestly I'm a big sucker for parent-child relationships especially when they play it right and when the characters are to die for x3
I really can't wait to see what the future has in store for them in the next season ( and hopefully the one after that pls qwq)

i mean, I'M nonbinary and a lesbian so. idk what to tell you. just like dykes can be nonbinary, so can our partners, if it works and makes sense. not every nonbinary person is the same we are all different. a lesbian isn't gonna be into every nonbinary person just as every nonbinary person isn't gonna be into a lesbian or cool with a lesbian being into them. my understanding of myself right now is that i'm certainly not bi or pan. and it frustrates me when people act or think that lesbian is an exclusionary thing. that's why my bio says 'trans and nonbinary inclusive'.
i made that post because i'm a nonbinary dyke and i love my wife and i'm a lesbian and i love my new nonbinary partnerfriend and we have hot nonbinary sex and its great and i'm still a lesbian.
yeah it's primarily about women but it's not purely about like puuuure womanhood right.

It didn't take much anymore to break the little reindeer's mentality. As a doctor Chopper knew the risks of smoking and the damage it could cause. However as a pirate, he knew a lot of people didn't care and we're going to do it anyway.
But there was something eating away at him. A question he'd always wondered about as he slept. What was so damn alluring about smoking? What was so cool about damaging your lungs with every breath?
Turning to the princess, Chopper opened his mouth, he meant no disrespect, but he didn't understand how she could hurt herself like that.

Top 5 disliked tropes (for romantic ships)
Relentless Pursuers. Occasionally I can enjoy some narratives that include them by a mixture of not-quite-exactly-like-the-trope behaviour or other factors, but most of the time? Puuuure loathing. In part because it often ends up limiting the targeted character (and if they happen to be my favourite I burn with rage lol). But the fact that the idea of something like this is horrifying to me certainly contributes.
Alpha men and the "feisty" women that really, deep down, only want to submit to them and become their tradwives. Self-explanatory.
Idiot Silent Mutual Pining. It frustrates me in a way that's not conductive to enjoying the eventual gratification tbh. On top of that, it often has the opposite effect of what it intends with me: it seems they're trying to convey just HOW MUCH these characters love each other, but I'm left thinking... if you really wanted to be with them so much you'd fucking do something about it LOL. I need to be convinced they have a good reason not to act, and "uwu i don't wanna ruin our friendship :(" or "but what if they confirm they don't like me???" aren't good enough for me.
Immortal/magical character loses their powers to be with their Tru Wuv and this is portrayed as aspirational. Horrifying!!
Soulmates. Can fly with me if it's portrayed as the tragedy such a concept embodies.
