James Rogers' admiration for Captain America (and Black Widow?)
To reiterate someone else's point:
It was a bit odd how revered the boy was to his Father but not so much for his mother as well.
Sure Cap is more iconic but Tasha felt left out in a sense to me lol.
People forget sometimes the "traditional" Natasha didn't have any armors or serums or super anything.
Just harsh training, and kept up anyway. Put respect on her name.

If you call Alicent Hightower ‘Alic*nt’ take a step back and ask yourself if this FICTIONAL CHARACTER calls for you to use sexist language. It says less about the character and more about you having a lot of Misogyny.

I just know LOA is the hottest female in Prythian FULL STOP. Look at what she's created. You're telling me Eris and Lucien get it from their dads?
WRONG. Every sexy, appealing quality they have is from their MOM.

A female knockoff done right, whom i wish was canon or got her own movie by now (Spider-girl) Mayday Parker
Grew up on some of her stories, usually at the Library when i was bored, so i forgot some fine details. Need to dive into em again.
Given she’s born of the 90′s era of comics she was technically Ultimate Spider-man 2000 before Ultimate Spider-man was even a thing by Bendis.
As far as Female knockoffs go, Mayday is top 3 spinoffs i actually like, easily.
Number one reason she’s logically the successor because she is the daughter of Spider-man. Not some obscure Cousin that comes outta fuckin nowhere.
She’s not Peter by virtue of her powers being integral to her since birth.
Not something that happens to her by accident, she is a mutant by definition of being born with powers in The Marvel Universe, so that alone is setting her apart from Peter. She’s not clique specific, she hangs with nerd and jocks.
Which is how you do a knockoff properly- differentiation.
Closest thing of her i can remember in recent memory in media for her was Ultimate Spiderman XD had “a” Spider-girl but it wasn’t Mayday just a genderbent Peter.
She was lame.
I wanted Mayday.
Funny how Miles’ ended up in his own feature movie before her and Spider-man 2099 put tgoether but they’re graced the light of day in the sequel, lmfao.
Token Black Spiderman gets to skip in front of everybody, no respect.
This was the cover that got my attention to her back in the day:
My first thought was, “wait- That’s not Peter..?”
Curiosity peaked, opened the issue- rest is history.
Then i read a little bit of A-NEXT, fell in love with American Dream, Stinger, Mayday’s various cameros & role on the team. Good ol days.
She (May) could easily carry her own show, and a game. Easily.
Last game i played with “Spider-girl” was Marvel Ultimate Alliance, i MAINED tf outta that Spider-girl skin.
10 Episode Season, a small scale game that focuses on urban storytelling, or a miniseries on Youtube exploring her #0
Something like The Maxx the animated run
Instead of shoving Captain Marvel in our face cause you want a Superman or a Wonder Woman, do something with a character that deserves attention, Marvel.
Imagine if they teased her in No Way Home or had Tobey’s Spider-man allude to her being canon in Raimiverse, I would lose my actual shit.

Honestly "Mina is just doing secretary work" my foot, she went in and OWNED the joint. She said hey show me where your cylinders are. Take me to your office. No, no time for all this cageyness, you can thank me later. Prepare a room with double bed. I'm making tea, where's your kitchen. I'll say hi to the housekeeper.

Does it ever hit you that Martha sat down in New New York and told the Doctor that she needed his honesty more than she needed to go home and that religious music played in the background at that scene and it was almost framed as a confession, in the most religious sense, and go a little bit feral? That as early as her third episode, she was framed as his equal, equally divine, equally a doctor, able to confront him, able to make him honest, able to sympathize with him, able to abide with him? That so few companions have ever spent so much time in one time period with the Doctor (1969/1913, for example), being with him/her, not running, just staying? That for every fucking thing Ten did wrong as John Smith/after coming back to himself in Human Nature/Family of Blood, he trusted her enough to leave himself vulnerable and human in her care, because he trusted her as a Doctor, because she was just as much a Doctor as he was? That Martha was, more than any other companion of the Tenth Doctor's, his equal, that her final speech about not being second was not just talking about her not being second best to Rose but about being second best to him? That she finally understood what had been true from the moment that they met and she closed Stoker's eyes and the Doctor realized that she had not just bravery and cleverness but a kindness that he had forgotten, that Martha Jones, more than anything else, has been and always will be The Doctor?

always this and that about the Lynch brothers freudian issues but what about Gansey and Maura Sargent being consistently paralleled as being the leaders of their core trios both presenting as charismatic and proper in comparison to the other two w outsiders but actually being weird and whimsical and more chaotic than meets the eye, needing to care for those around them and needing to toe the line between care and control, being consistently drawn in my men w issues and tree people and being a bit hopeless romantic about it. And Blue falling for Gansey what about that hmm
