little =/= vulnerable alter

sometimes littles are child-like. sometimes littles are vulnerable. sometimes littles need to be treated like they are a child. sometimes, the little isn't ready to move on.

this does not mean that a little is actually a child if the body is an adult.

a little can be capable of consent. sometimes they're not, and that should be respected.

but it's just. you gotta respect the littles that are ready to move on from their trauma. that are ready to grow up. that are an adult and have an adult brain, while still being a little.

what that healing looks like depends on the system. there's no time limit. but please respect other littles healing, even if it makes you uncomfortable. because we are not children.

Old dog

I am flea-bitten and skinny, I am deprived of all that keeps me sane, I am beaten and thrown out like the street mutt I am, I am nothing but an old dog, I can not amaze them anymore, my bones ache and creak, I am old, they do not need me, they found a new one, a puppy, much younger than me, this one will learn and amaze them, I sit on the side watching the joy this puppy brings them and I whine out hoping they would notice but they do not even bat an eye at me, I cry out again, a soft howl leaves my mouth but yet they do not even pass me a glance, I whine and paw at their pant leg hoping to even gain attention, but they ignore me, I cry out turning and going back to my dog house, why must I be such an old dog?

6 - age I get mistaken for I don't really get mistaken for any ages other than my own cause of system stuff I think. I feel like people would assume I'm younger though, cause my voice is quite high pitched and I'm really bubbly
