sorry i'm slightly livid but less than friendly reminder that if your AO3 Bookmark is public, the author of the fic can see what you wrote in it, and so can everyone else.
if you're for some reason bookmarking a fic you didn't particularly enjoy, just keep it private if you want to leave your negative commentary. everyone has different tastes, nobody needs to know that you didn't like that particular fic, and the author especially doesn't need to hear your griping (or your rating system, for that matter).
it may not be in the comments section, but you've left an equivalent to a hate comment. there's no point in acting like you haven't.

Oh yeah Mys doesn’t really care for gridball. Not that it’s personal or intense, she just isn’t a sportsy person. Still, Shane takes her to games all the time, she has no real prolonged interest in the game but engages for him. Sometimes she doesn’t even have to engage, Shane gets absolutely lost in the thrill of it all. She pays way more attention to him than to the game itself. She likes the way that he starts to jump and cheer, when he explains the play of the game to her, and the excited stolen kisses when something extra special happens. His excitement becomes hers, and, for that time, she’s a fan.
Fortunately, she doesn’t have to enjoy the sport to enjoy the happy moments it brings. Still, she thinks it’s very funny she fell in love with an ex gridball player.

3 and 17?
3. screenshot or description of the worst take you've seen on tumblr
i one time saw someone say that a lesbian character in the wings of fire books didn't count as representation for lgbt characters. because lesbians somehow didnt count as rep. i dont consider myself in the wof fandom but that take haunts me daily. what on earth do you MEAN
17. there should be more of this type of fic/art
ok im not sure exactly how to word this. but there are some fandoms out there (the two at the forefront of my mind are loz and also to some degree destiny, its relatively common just less so in a lot of the spaces im in) where too much of the fanart is too polished and too smooth. and i think that they need more weirdo messy experimental art with a lot of colors and bad lines and sloppy ass compisition and big ol visible brushstrokes. do you know what i mean!!!

gonna be honest dont love that there is some kind of resurgence of like, children on this site demanding personal information or some kind of ‘proof’ from complete strangers on the internet before we’re allowed to like…make jokes about ourselves? that do not effect them at all? like who gives a fuck if someone doesn’t have a caard or whatever the fuck to reveal all the intimate details of their lives and medical histories. i don’t care if u wanna post ur whole ass social security number and ur biggest weaknesses or whatever but personally I enjoy my privacy AND my dumb gay little jokes about autism and the myriad of other ways ive been nerfed since conception and no one owes you an explanation or proof

Apparently I have a "great voice for radio" that is "smooth and easy to listen to" according to a coworker
Maybe I'll do a podcast or narration or something

After doing some light research my mystery illness symptoms don't really match up with prolonged mold exposure/a classic case of mold allergy but there are some types of mold that can cause headaches/brainfog, fatigue/weakness, inability to sleep, neurological issues in general, etc. so idk
gonna inform my doctor in 2 weeks and see what she thinks about all of this :/

How do you like being a librarian?
It rocks, anon.
Okay but for real, I spent like, the first part of my 20s trying to Make It as a young artist in opera and that shit was killing me slowly. I went to library school as a sort of interim skill that would let me work while my voice matured, and then while that was happening the world ended, and I ended up in the library job that I do now, and that security after working alternating retail and independent contractor gigs has been everything. Like, I'm still thinking things like: a set schedule? health insurance? paid time off? what luxury!!!!
and I've always been a Books Girl and loved surrounding myself with books, and in addition to that I just love....the detective work that comes with librarianship? I love working in reference and helping people find things, as my GA advisor said: "putting on my detective hat and solving things" it's the kind of complex problem solving that I really love. and I am just happy to find a line of work that I enjoy and that I can live off of that still gives me time to do things that feed my soul.
But I'll be honest, lately....I have been bored at my current job. I like it, and I like the people I work with, but there's just always external factors that are straining our department, and the work I'm doing now isn't necessarily what I trained for. I studied to be a music librarian, with a focus on reference and user services, and right now I'm in Interlibrary Loan, which is intricate and interesting in its own way, but it has less intellectual stimulation than the stuff I talked about above. So I've just been kinda....meh about work lately, but I am looking for ways to change that.
And, lemme tell you. I worked in a supermarket in the spring and early summer of 2020, and this is infinitely better than THAT.
