i dont actually read like ANY poetry ;; one of my good friends is a fantastic poet but shes about the only poet i read lol
buuuut i did listen to the poet x by elizabeth acevedo which is apparently a 'novel-in-verse' and ik the author is a poet so i think that counts? i would deffo recommend checking out the audiobook

happy belated WBW, morri! so, for any of your wips, what would a non-main character outsider POV be like? to the stuff happening in their homeland while the story takes place?? sorry if this doesn't make sense, i'm still a little incoherent. - 🔮⛈
Ooh, this is a really interesting question!! (and dw, it makes plenty of sense!!)
So, for ATQH, from the perspective of like, an everyday citizen of Anvia, the events of the plot would all just be, like, wild gossip?? Since they don't know the Queen personally. The further they would live from the Palace, the more distorted the gossip would get, and the longer it would take them to find out. But, oh man, it would be wild.
"so, after 5 years of nothing, she's inviting a bunch of people to the Palace?? Interesting."
"a Prince of Oryn is a guest in the Palace????" *narrowed eyes*
"this Prince is like, a total shitshow, apparently. Why the hell is he even here????"
"An infamous criminal was staying in the Palace under the Queen's very nose!!"
"The Prince is definitely a shit show. She's going to kick him out!"
"She did not kick him out. WHY??????"
"SOMEONE TRIED TO MURDER THE QUEEN"
"I have no idea what the fuck is going on anymore, but it's not good."
"The Queen is out of her mind."
And so on.
I literally have some plot points planned that revolve around the effects of the rumor mill on the main characters. (Mostly the public's reactions to the end of Act III through all of Act IV, since that's when Shit Goes Down.) But I still need to work those plot points out more. Right now they're just vague concepts.
For CoS, it would depend on who we were talking about. If they were someone that Dorian and Ash bumped into, then they would definitely know something was up. They'd definitely have some weird stories to tell about at the very least, two people acting weird as hell, and potentially a shadow mage and a very strange slug.
If they never interacted with the fugitives, or lived far away from where they were traveling, it would all just be weird stuff.
"There's rumors of wolves on the move to the east. No one has seen them, but they hear the howls."
"So many more guardsmen around than usual! What are they afraid of?"
"My cousin swore she saw a demon last week!" // "The same cousin who is usually very, very drunk?" // ".... yes. But she swore she saw it!"
"There's demon-spawn [shadow mage] walking in the north." // "Just superstition. You know how they are up there."
That kind of stuff.

heyo, enchant over here! i’m a writer who writes original stuff and fanfics! it’s been a long while since my previous re-intro, and i decided for a new one. just the same basics, just a new post.^^
i’m a hybrid sort of writeblr and a semi-fandom blog. however, i tag appropriately as much as possible. whether it’s salty or positive. i try writing as much as i can! yet i also take breaks when necessary. my motto in general about storytelling is: write what you want to read. and i write any concept stuck in my mind.
my main fandoms are adaptations of marvel comics and dc comics. a big fan of characters who don’t get enough appreciation (whether from fandom or canon). i love canon divergence and AUs bc it gives me more freedom. i enjoy them yet i’m also aware of their problems especially with the former.
top-tier tropes to me are: chaotic found family, enemies to friends to lovers, subverted expectations, reluctant allies to best friends to lovers, exhausted™ protagonists, strong friendships, find recovery after all the pain, morally grey characters, and self-discovery.^^
i have some active original stories listed below.
Blasted Scorn: A group of pirates somewhat succeed in their latest quest, only for knights to be their accidental stowaways. They’re assigned to search for a missing princess who’s been captured. Dread Pirate Titanarin strikes a deal with them in exchange for valuables. Along the way and dozens of broken bones, this team contemplates on whether this was their worst decision or not.
True Devotion that Remains Constant: A ballet dancer encounters difficulties while trying to find her own path. A painter is only trying to thrive after escaping a difficult situation. An awkward circumstance leads them to meet in college where they slowly learn about each other.
Lines of A Script to Ignore: An unemployed graduate struggles on getting a job as she adjusts from getting back from abroad. A scriptwriter slash theatre actor seeks to share her story while dealing with setbacks. They reconnect as they see each other, forming a bargain that’ll provide help for both of them.

I am terribly sorry for the late late answer. These weeks were a mess of major proportions for me, and when things went back to normal I ended up having to focus a lot to get back on track on my WIP, (yay OCD!).
What's one genre you've never written, but that you'd like to try?
This is an intriguing question, for a few reasons. Namely, most of my current WIPs already encompass all of the genres I generally like to consume (medieval fantasy, gothic fantasy, cyberpunk superhero, and space adventure/space opera). Being the way I am, I like to explore my interests and write down ideas as soon as they come to me, so most of the genres I like are therefore already covered in my WIPs. I don't have much of an interest for contemporary fiction, much less if it is a horror story or one of those YA summer romances.
While it is unlikely that I ever do, I would say that I could one day explore genres such as Urban Fantasy (but not the typical kind, think like the Supernatural series) or a small town scifi mystery (like Stranger Things). One that I would especially like to try would be an actual adventure story in the style of Indiana Jones, Jumanji or The Mummy (I know this going to sound absolutely ridiculous but think: if the new Ducktales series had a human cast and was meant for a grown up audience. That style would be perfect for an adventure story, like a big family that travels the world and fights evil while collecting strange artifacts, preferrably if it is set in the 1920/1930s).

honestly, for Neal, we kind of shifted his character and his intentions a little bit when we decided to write him a little better. that being said, he is definitely someone who does not like confrontation. he enjoys giving people the benefit of the doubt and he would rather not have to actually confront people.
but, while Neal would definitely rather let sleeping dogs lie, he is not afraid of confrontation. if there is something that has to be done, he is getting it done, especially if there is a need for it to get done as soon as possible.

ok so her ideal vacation would definitely be somewhere warm. she'd be sipping super sweet alcoholic drinks by the beach. she'd probably be kitted out w like a huge umbrella stuck in the ground & a reclining lounge chair. honestly just think this scene ("does your mother know") from mamma mia cus thats the vibe.
as for skills... hm thats a hard one since shes an older character (in her 50s) she is more self assured than the others and is also incredibly accomplished (medical doctor, sought-after witch) but perhaps one thing would be performance skills? she doesnt sing or dance and she likes to go see performances at bars and such. its not something that makes her upset (like she wishes she could be them) but she does really admire performers & their abilities.

Happy Blorbosday! I used a random wheel generator to pick two ocs cuz I can't decide:
Gabby (The City is Ours)
She doesn't care how cliche it is, Gabby wants to tour London and Paris, mainly for the fashion but also the art. Ideally, she'd spend about a week in each location and visit museums and do lots of shopping for new clothes.
Cassandra (Fractured Stars Falling)
She would love to relax on the beach with Erica and her crew with no worry of dangerous animals or rival pirates. Sleeping on the beach would be awesome plus sexy times with Erica .

Fallon would probably downplay herself a lot in a description of herself. Not necessarily to a self-deprecating degree (like Kris would), but she would definitely be very modest about it. But she'd also refuse to acknowledge her worse traits.
She would likely describe herself as dedicated, caring, strong-willed and persistent. Traits that would make her look like a good Queen, but not overly vain.
