Heroes & Villains The DC Animated Universe - Paper Cut-Out Portraits and Profiles
Vandal Savage
Some 25,000 years ago, a prehistoric tribe of early humans witnessed an asteroid fall to earth. While his fellow tribesmen ran away from it in fear, the intrepid Vandar Adg walked up to it and slept by it, as the night was cold and the comet provided warmth. Where the rock came from was never known, but its radiation and heat transformed Savage for life. It bestowed him agelessness and invulnerability.  He could regenerate from any injury and would live forever.
Watching everyone he ever care for age and die drove Savage mad and he became obsessed with the notion that he was chosen to live forever so that he might conquer and tame the planet.  His many years had bestowed him great knowledge and wisdom as well as a vast understanding of tactical and military planning.  He became involved in countless wars, acting as a general under many assumed names.
Many years into the future, Savage created a time machine. He determined that the Second World War presented the best opportunity to conquer the world. As such, he used his time machine to provide his younger self with advanced technology. This enabled Savage to easily assume leadership over the Axis Forces and and he led the armies to a swift and decisive victory that ultimately seated him as master of the entire planet.
The Justice League were off planet when Savage's alteration to the time-stream took place. They returned to an entirely changed world, a single totalitarian state ruled by Savage. The League ended up using Savage's time machine to travel back to World War II so to defeat the villain and restore the time-line.
With the aid of Steve Trevor, Sergeant Rock and the Blackhawk Squadron, The League triumphed and Savage was taken down. The time-line was restored and the League returned to an un-altered present.
Savage reemerged some years later, now posing as his own great grandson.  His new gambit entailed taking control of the nation of Kaznia by marrying its crown princess, Audrey.  As the leader of Kaznia, Savage would have unfettered access to the international space station which he planned to use as part of scheme to conquer the world.  Wonder Woman and Batman were able to ferret Savage’s true identity and thwarted his schemes.
When Superman was struck by a tachyon ray, it sent the Man of Steel thousand of years into the future.  There he found the earth as a barren wasteland.  The only survivor on the planet was Vandal Savage who explained to Superman that it was his own doing that had brought about this ruin.  Remorseful over his actions, Savage helped Superman create a new time travel device that would send Superman back in time so that he could stop Savage from destroying civilization.  The plan succeeded, Superman was returned to his rightful time and Savage was once again defeated.
Actor Phil Morris provided the voice for Vandal Savage, with the immortal villain first appearing in the twenty-fourth episode of the first season of Justice League, ‘The Savage Time.’

Maid of Honor
I.e. the episode dedicated to getting as much crap past the radar as possible.
Ah, Paris. That most romantic of cities. Allegedly.
Where did Diana learn French?
Well, now we know where Zack Snyder and Joss Whedon ripped that scene in Bullshit v. Stupid from.
Smooth, Bruce. Smooth.
Audrey is reminiscent of a more innocent time. Before Paris Hilton and Elon Musk, when we admired useless layabouts with obscene amounts of money.
This aired two years after 9/11. I'm honestly surprised they managed to get away with terrorists in a kid's show after that. Though, the DCAU has been mining terrorists as threats since BTAS
Wonder Woman is a foot taller than Audrey and it's kind of adorable
Written by Dwayne McDuffie
Directed by Dan Riba
Kaznia is kind of a screwed up country. Though it does appear to be doing better than the last time we saw it in STAS.
Pretty sure hijacking superhero is a crime, Audrey
Bruce is clearly a 'work hard, play hard' kind of guy
Man, there is nothing I love more than when they do the old BTAS gag of making Batman just... become his entire silhouette.
Every bad guy says that, and every bad guy is wrong.
Diana and Audrey have the exact same eyes. Like, the exact same. Their facial features and builds are different, but the eyes are identical.
That is not the word he used.
Diana x Audrey all I'm saying.
In the real world, clubs have limits due to things like fire safety. Being a celebrity does not (necessarily) allow you to cut in line.
Audrey just straight up arranged an orgy on a kid's show.
Okay, first off, Bruce: you, 'Mister I am the Night!' have no right to judge anybody about the hours they keep. Secondly, breaking into a lady's room is tres creepy
Lying motherfucker you are, Bruce Wayne.
Yeah, cause she's a ditz! And as princess, probably does not have the authority to order her military around. That would either be her father the king or their prime minister, depending on what flavour of dysfunctional government Kaznia has.
Dun dun dun!
On the one hand, Vandal Savage's origin is a little weird even for superhero comics. On the other hand, it's not that weird? And wouldn't the Kaznian royal family have done a thorough background check first?
Wow, they implied the king was a rapist and murdered him on screen. On a kid's show!
Savage, you are a manipulative prick, you know that?
That's an old-school tv.
That's remarkably good animation for a tv show.
Superman created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster
Batman created by Bill Finger
Wonder Woman created by William Moulton Marston
Animated by Koko

I still got time for one more fling.
[Caption: gifs from an episode of the Justice League’s animated show. Diana has spent time with princess Audrey before she has to marry, having a nice night out. They’re at the top of the Eiffel Tower and Audrey lets herself fall, joyful, knowing Diana would fly to catch her and safely lower her to the ground. Once it’s over, Audrey looks dejected.]

What are the endgame ships for E37?
As yet undecided. This is probably where the ‘self-indulgence’ versus ‘everyone can enjoy it’ thing comes into it, as the answers will be very different depending on what I end up going with. (I have a weakness for hero-villain slash ships which makes indulging my shippy tendencies a bit more canon-breaking than most.) If you have an opinion about which way I ought to leap, please tell me so.
One thing that is definitely happening, however, is Wonder Woman/Princess Audrey of Kaznia.

The Princess and the Robin: Part 1
AN: Here we go again! This Easter I am bringing some updates to all your favorite stories! And some new starts, starting with part one of Damian’s soul-mark series. I hope you enjoy it!
Prompt that inspired this: Older!Damian imagine!(Like 18-20) Reader is a princess from a made up country and her dad is close w Bruce so WE hosts a huge celebration for her bday. But the party gets attacked or something and she’s forced to go into hiding w the Waynes and her parents are sent somewhere else. During her stay she & Dami really connect.W fluff and a beautiful bday gown the whole 9 yards! Im sorry this is so long but I’ve been thinking about it for a while(Maybe even a series or even the parents as ex-heroes?
    “Enjoying the party, princess?”
Your eyes slide to the man next to you. He’s taller than you, and a carbon copy of his father. He’s all dark hair, blue eyes, and olive skin. Three women had already swooned in his presence, but not you. You know better, you know exactly how dangerous it is to fall for the man in front of you. To do so would cost you everything; your kingdom, your people, and your family.
As you stare at him, you can’t help but wonder how different things would have been, had you been normal. If you’d had a say over your own life. You do your best to not entertain the thought.
    “Want to dance?”
You eyes narrow, “Not with you Damian Wayne. Not now, not ever.”
The smirk never leaves his face, even as he watches you walk away. You slip away from the party and into the bathroom. You struggle for breath, as you lock the door and pull at the strings on the back of the dress. You want it off!
When you can’t get it after several minutes, you slide to the floor, and try to catch your breath. Your life had been so different three months ago, you’d been set in your determination. You had known exactly what you were doing with your life, and exactly what was needed.
You had been in the states for a royal tour, and you’d been in Gotham for a Wayne Enterprises Gala. Things had been going swimmingly, right up until it had been attacked, and you had been kidnapped.
You were the heir to the Kaznia throne, your mother was Queen Audrey. You were an only child, and if someone were to remove you, then the throne would be open to the next in line, Count Vertigo.
The man was a snake, of that you were sure. He was slimy and manipulative, and he was determined to get his hands on the throne, and your people. Your mother was still young and healthy, but a series of accidents over the last several months had put you on alert.
There was little you could do to remove him from court, at the moment, but you were working on a more permanent solution. Then you had been kidnapped. It had happened in a storm of men dressed in black, with guns. You’d been whisked out of the theatre, before anyone could do anything.
You’d been held in a dark, dank cell for several days. You’d refused any food offered, and only drank a necessary amount of water. On the fourth day, things had taken a turn, for the better or worse you still weren’t sure, but your life had changed forever that day.
He’d appeared dressed in red and black, like a demon out of hell. He’d taken down the men guarding your cell, and picked the lock before you could understand what was happening. And then he’d said the twelve words you knew by heart, the words tattooed across your right hip, “If you’d follow me your highness, I’ll get you out of here.”
You’d spent hours staring at those words, from the moment they’d first appeared on your skin. You’d fantasized about the man who would say them, and more than once you’d gotten caught up in the daydream.
You’d dreamed about a young handsome man who’d whisk you away from a party. You’d stroll through a garden, he’d smile, and you’d blush. It would be like a story from a fairy tale. Instead, you’d gone four days without a shower, were dressed in a ripped ball gown, and you were being held against your will.
So, you say the only thing you can think of, “Why does it have to be a Robin?”

Would love to hear about the long complicated events
Ok.
Diana finding out Bruce Wayne is Batman is really a side-note in the events of when Diana met Princess Audrey of Kaznia, whom she is going to eventually pair off with. Part of it is that both are usually in Gotham, but turn up in Paris around the same time. Another part of it is that Diana is a pretty good reader of people, and there are a lot of tiny little tics that Bruce and Batman share that Bruce hasn’t actually noticed he has - he‘s taken care to differentiate the big things, but some of the little ones have slipped by him. Also…there is a tiny bit of attraction there, and she was eyeing his arse earlier, and what do you know! The ‘the butts match’ guy might just be onto something.  She was distracted by Audrey pretty soon after, admittedly.
It’s a lot less dramatic, put that way, though.

Do you prefer to ship Diana with Steve, Bruce, Etta, some combination thereof?
Ok. Here’s the backstory timeline.
Diana had a few youthful relationships on Themiscyra with other Amazons. Then she met Steve Trevor when he crash-landed on the island and developed an interest in him. Steve was interested in her, but I’m actually carrying something over from post-Crisis here in that he was engaged to Etta. Since I had him as RFC, she can’t quite fill the same role as in the film, but she’s an officer in the Women’s Army Auxiliary Force, a shorthand typist working for the RFC. A happy three-way relationship ensues because a) I cannot be asked to choose and b) it makes a nice reference to the people behind Wonder Woman.
After Steve dies, Etta and Diana stay together until Etta’s death during the Blitz. Diana was in France when Etta died, helping the Resistance, and didn’t find out until Charlie wrote to tell her. Diana was, naturally, devastated, and held off on other relationships for more than a decade afterwards before slowly beginning to move on with her life.
As for the modern day…well, who knows. We’ll see. Personally, though, my first Diana ship was with Princess Audrey of Kaznia in the Justice League animated series.

My dad: That's gay. They're going to kiss now right?
