Witcher Fics I Want

this is jaskier x geralt by the way. i couldn't sleep so i came up with these instead.

Skating AU

Jaskier is a figure skater and Geralt is a hockey player. Geralt plays for “the Witchers”. The two groups fight for ice time a lot.

High School Teachers AU

Jaskier teacher choir or art. Geralt teaches History or Chemistry. All their students call them mom and dad. Ciri is their favorite. She is too smart for her classes so she hangs out with them after school and during lunch. They are oblivious and ciri is like “omg just kiss already!”

Pride and Prejudice AU

Its just pride and prejudice, but Jaskier is Lizzie and Geralt is Darcy. Geralt is emotionally constipated and cant handle his feelings so hes a dick instead. Basically just follows the plot of the book/movie and geralt proposes and gets turned down until he fixes himself. Georgiana is ciri she helps geralt win back jaskier.

Princess Bride AU

Jaskier is Buttercup and Geralt is wesley. Follows the movie kinda. Geralt is “killed” by the witcher then comes back pretending to be that to save jaskier from marriage to a shitty prince (valdo marx???).

The Little Mermaid AU

Jaskier is Ariel and Geralt is Eric. Jaskier is a mermaid who loves to watch people but some drowners (or ther water monster idk) is in the area he likes to watch and geralt gets knocked out saving jaskier who in turn saves him. He makes a deal to give up his voice to have legs so he can travel with geralt. Yennefer is Ursula i guess,,, idk.

Aladdin AU

Jaskier is Jasmine and Geralt is Aladdin. Jaskier hates being stuck in the palace and having to act like a royal. He sneaks out and geralt helps him escape some guard so he can play his lute in a market or something. Geralt is in love but doesnt think a prince would fall for him so he uses a potion or magic or something (yennefer helps??) to change his hair color and disguise himself as a prince. Takes jaskier for a ride on roach idk.

Falsettos AU

This is based off of falsettos the musical. Geralt and Yen divorce and geralt leaves to live with jaskier, but hes still trying to have a relationship with ciri and yen. I think triss would be marvin cause gay is always better. This doesnt have to be an exact copy of the story, but just an inspiration.

Theater AU

This would just be a one shot lol. i just think it would be funny. Jaskier is the lead actor and geralt is on crew. thats it lol.

Coffee Shop AU

Jaskier works as a barista at a little cafe and falls for the guy (geralt) who always come in and sits in the corner reading and only orders a plain black coffee. Jaskier is a gay disaster and his coworkers know it.

Disney World AU

Geralt brings ciri to disney world for a weekend and Jaskier is playing her favorite prince (idk which one just pick) and they go and visit him everyday they go.

Drag Queen AU

Jaskier is a drag queen at a club (goes by dandelion or buttercup) and geralt is the bouncer/security. Someone gives jaskier a hard time outside f the club after closing and geralt saves him and walks him home.

Public Transport Musician AU

Geralt takes the subway everyday and jaskier is always playing in the station. One time he gets on the train with geralt and they talk. Jaskier shares that on weekends he plays at a club and geralt goes and sees him.

Self Defense Lessons AU

Jaskier moves to a big city or something and wants to take self defense lessons and geralt is the instructor. Jaskier can not handle geralt pinning him down and straddling him.

Neighbors AU

Jaskier and Geralt live next to eachother in an apartment building. Jaskier is always knocking and asking for extra flower or help fixing something. At first geralt hates it but it becomes endearing and then one day geralt asks jaskier for help with something and thats when they get together. Yen and Triss live across the hallway and laugh as it goes down.

Mandalorian/Star Wars AU

Geralt is apart of a bounty hunter clan (the mandalorians/witchers) and is supposed to find a child and deliver it to some bad people (its ciri/baby yoda) but doesnt and adopts her. Jaskier come in at some point idk how tho.

Gym Training AU

Trans!Jaskier wants to get buff so he passes better and gets trained by geralt. thats it.

Role Reversal AU

Jaskier is a witcher (he still has a smaller frame. I think hes more of an assassin and more stealth based.) and Geralt is a moody musician (i dont think he sings) Somehow geralt gets tied up with one of jaskiers hits and that how they end up travelling together. Jaskier is jealous that geralt is still huge and jacked despite being a musician.

Gender Bend AU

I just want a big muscly lesbian geralt. Jaskier is a cottage core lesbian. otherwise nothing changes.

You’ve Got Mail AU

Jaskier owns a smaller bookstore thats going to be swallowed up by witcher co. books. Just follows the movie plot. I read a really good youve got mail au fic a long time ago and i want more.

Fake Relationship AU

This is honestly my favorite au and ive yet to see it in the witcher fics. Jaskier lied to his family that hes in a relationship so that theyd stop trying to set him up, but they come to visit so he has to get Geralt to pretend to be his boyfriend. or Jaskier gets a chance to go to a resort or on a cruise and play for the guests but its a married couples only thing so he brings geralt along and they have to pretend to be a happy married couple. Triss and Yen are there and onto them the whole time.

Soulmate AU

i havent seen any witcher fics with a classic soulmate au. there is plenty to pick from. One could be matching birthmarks and jaskier ( or geralt) figures out that the other has the matching birthmark but is scared to tell cause “witchers cant feel”

Mechanic AU

Jaskier keeps “accidentally” breaking things so the hot mechanic will come fix it.

Circus AU

geralt is a strong man or “beast” tamer and jaskier is some artsy shit idk. Concept: jaskier is a trapeze artist and he sings while he does it so hes the “song bird”. Yen can be a fortune teller or some shit.

yoooo I love love love this ask!!!! And idk if you guys remember this post I had made forever ago. But it’s basically a royalty au where Jordie was still alive and had to take the crown early because his and Kaz’s parents were assassinated. Leaving Kaz to make friends with a neighboring prince of Ravka (and also join him on some pirate adventures as Dirtyhands)

But of course Jordie has to arrange a marriage for his brother with the Suli nation (for the sake of this au let’s pretend they’re their own country). Of course, Kaz hates that idea. Of course, hes’ an ass about it. And let’s just say that the Princess Inej is none too pleased herself

Kaz was going to kill his brother. He didn’t care about the treason charges. He would do it at dinner. Maybe he’d knock his big head over with his cane. Or maybe poison his wine cup. Either way it would be with everyone watching. Because out of all the schemes he had tried to pull over Kaz, this one was by far the most idiotic.

He had been stuffed into his itchiest suit. He had been made to trade his favorite crowhead cane for the one that had the diamond etched with their family crest. He had been thrown into the receiving room that always smelled like mold no matter what the servants did to it.

Kaz knew this was to be a trap, but when the princess of Suli materialized out of nowhere from behind the curtain, he audibly swore.

He had told Jordie “no.” He had told his stupid king of a brother that he did not want to get married to someone he didn’t know. He had told him that he would set fire to his rooms if he tried.

But as it turns out the threat of arson was less menacing compared to needing good trading bonds with the Suli.

“You shouldn’t swear, you know.” The princess, Inej (if Kaz remembered correctly), said with an upturn of her nose. These were the first words she spoke after an hour of utter silence.

“Why is that right?” Kaz said, his voice coming out in a sarcastic rasp, “Well the next time I say, ‘fucking saints on a spit’ you can remind me again.”

Her lips curled in disgust, “Don’t you people have any respect for the saints?”

That only elicited a sharp bitter laugh from him, “The saints? As in those crazy-ass Grisha that the people tore apart and then called them miracle workers?”

“Saints and Grisha are not the same.” She replied.

“Oh that’s right,” Kaz said crossing his arms and staring her down, “One of them are delusions people create to make their lives mean something, and the other are just people with magic that get burned at the stake anyway.”

Her brown eyes regarded him curiously, and he felt his hackles raise at her gaze.

“I didn’t peg you for a Grisha sympathizer, Prince Kaz.”

He shrugged, “I’m not. Just because one uses a hammer, doesn’t make him a hammer sympathizer. Grisha can be tools when used properly and I happen to know a prince that pretends like he doesn’t use them like they are.”

A beautiful flush bloomed at Inej’s cheeks at the mention of the Ravkan prince, and a satisfaction that was also laced with the regular amount of bitterness rose in Kaz’s chest. Nikolai was the one friend that Kaz tolerated, but that had its annoyances– having women and men fawn over him while discounting Kaz and his limp were one of them.

Just as he suspected Inej was no different.

“Ah interested in the dreamy Lantsov, are you?” He pressed, delighting in having some sort of leverage. “Must be tough hearing that he took a shine to his general. I’m sure your heart must have broken along with the thousands of people who hoped to share his bed.”

The redness of her cheeks didn’t fade, but the anger certainly did cut through her eyes as she stalked closer to him– her feet light and unheard.

Kaz watched her approach with an intense interest that shocked him.

“The next time you deign to speak of people as if they were nothing but tools to bend and break will be a time that you will dearly regret.” She hissed. Her breath hot against his cheeks.

If Kaz were any other man, he would have the right mind to be scared or at least nervous because that look that rested on her face was not to be taken lightly. It promised righteousness and justice. But Kaz was not just any other man, and he had learned long ago that those two things were just words that meant nothing.

He leaned closer to her, smelling the perfumes her maids must have sprayed into her long brown, braided hair.

“Why, my darling Princess Inej,” He whispered back to her. A cat like grin spreading across his face, “Is that a promise?”

so when they lose the deal they ask for help from ford and ford’s like “yo i can maybe change the deal??? a little bit???” so instead of bill taking her over when he goes to she falls asleep

so dipper wasnt supposed to wake her up but he found her and fords notes and he and mabel went on an adventure

so stan has to leave mabel and dipper in the woods (idk y it wasnt for long the twins are just impatient) so stan disappears and the twins are like “lETS EXPLORE THE WOODS”

they come across some creepy old house w a lot of spiderwebs (can u guess the villain yet?)

an older woman comes out and is like “why are you guys lost in the forest?”

mabel points to the glitter trail “we’re not lost”

dipper looks behind them ‘mabel!!! where’s all the glitter?!”

(ACTUALLY MAYBE ITS YARN???)

so they lose the trail

meanwhile stan is losing his fucking mind

he follows the stray glitter but it’s blown all over

he feels “LOST IN THE WOOOOODDDS!!!”

so the old lady offers for them to stay the night bc its getting late

dipper is SUPER sus but he plays it cool surprisingly

mabel is So In!

long short...stan eventually saves them from darlene’s trap

usually shes just a maneater but look

when u live in the woods u do what u can

so stan hauls them back to their cottage

dipper knew there was weird shit out there but he wants MORE

he starts going through his great-uncle’s journals (*cue the dipper squee*)

he reads about bill and his deal w paz’s parents

he’s like....’maybe we should rescue her?’

ford wont tell him why they cant

so dipper and mabel sneak out

they steal the grunkles’ boat

mabel falls over board???

dipper tries like HELL to save her

but then he sees mermando save her

SO MABEL IS SAVED BY MERMANDO!!!

gideon (who had long-loved mabel from afar) finds out

he visits the merman to trick him

all mabel remembers is his voice

so YES mermando trades his voice for legs just like the movie

sue me okay w his distinct accent it makes sense!!!

so the twins get sidetracked bc mermando shows up out of nowhere

they dock on a small island for a pit stop and thats when ‘kiss the girl’ happens

they dont kiss so they move on

they dock on another stretch of land the next day

AND GIDEON APPEARS

the twins have only heard about him from their grunkles so mabel hears his voice and goes *heart eyes*

mermando is Distressed

dipper is Focused on getting to this sleeping princess

mabel makes fun of him for liking her

SO GIDEON HAS MERMANDOS VOICE!

at one point dipper catches him w/o the amulet that makes him sound like mermando

and he tells mabel and its kinda like “the hand that rocks the mabel” or whatever the ep was called

it takes dipper and mermando being threatened (and gideons voice slipping) for her to catch on and she breaks up w him

dipper wants to throw him overboard

they just leave him on the next inhabited island they find

mermando got his kiss but decides to go back to the ocean anyway

he promises to write

mabel is Sad

SO BACK TO OUR REGULARLY SCHEDULED ADVENTURE!

the twins come across a land near the one paz is on and decide to stop for food and to stretch their legs and other hygiene things

they find out there’s some archery thing going on and mabel is like ’ooooh can we try?!’

turns out its for neighboring kingdoms’ princes to win a princess

mabel and dipper think this is RIDICULOUS so they crash it

mabel steps up to shoot and everyone’s like ‘wHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?’

then dipper steps up beside her. neither of them have shot a bow before

they shoot at the same time. mabel’s like thisclose to the bullseye. dippers too far right

THEN!!! PRINCESS WENDY COMES OUT OF NOWHERE

DIPPER AND MABEL ARE IN AWE OF THIS VALKYRIE. THEYRE BOTH READY FOR HER TO KILL THEM BC THEY THINK ITLL BE AWESOME

but wendy is like ‘ACTUALLY ILL SHOOT FOR MYSELF THANKS’ and splits like three arrows down the middle w her accuracy

she looks at mabel and dipper and is like ‘u dudes look fun! ive never seen u before who are u???’

and they’re like ‘WELL!’ and launch into detail about their adventure w overlapping voices and sound affects and VAST description

anyways. i cant decide how old people are rn okay

so wendy is like “hey dad??? im going on an adventure w these guys!” and her dad is like “unusual but u DID just win ur own hand. so ill allow it”

“YES! can i take soos too?!”

“sure!”

sO THEYRE OFF AGAIN!!! lemme tell u the ship is filling faST!!!

they get to paz’s land. and the first thing they find is a girl in a tower with long purple hair.

everyone is pretty much just making ‘wtf’ faces for like....ten minutes.

finally wendy calls up the tower like “YO! WHATS W ALL THE HAIR?!”

tambry leans out the window w a bored expression and goes “its mine. im tambry. who r u?”

they introduce themselves and are like “u wanna come on our adventure?”

then....ROBBIE APPEARS!

and he knows where the princess is!!!

”oh yeah. her. shes also in a tower. its got a door but its guarded by gnomes.”

then robbie climbs tambrys hair pecks her cheek and ducks in the tower

they decide to head for the tower robbie directed them to. but they have to pass the castle. Northwest Castle

robbie warned them about the northwests. said that the princess was one and before she disappeared she was the snottiest brat hed ever met

so they became friends despite the fact that he plays music for a living (and not very well either)

her parents told her of the spell when she was twelve

so robbie’s like “they are not nice people and neither was she??? most of the townsfolk are glad shes asleep tbh”

but dammit! dipper came here for an adventure!!! he wasnt going to stop just bc the princess wasnt what he expected!

so they continue on!

mabel is like “maybe she doesnt KNOW how to be nice!”

and soos is just excited to be there!

and wendy is just...u kno...chill

they start to get close to the castle and they feel like they’re being watched

and then soos notices the PEACOCKS!

they assume theyre spies for the king and queen. which is half true?

they can also warn bill if someone is near pacifica

all his friends have returned to the princess’s room and mabel is like “u gotta kiss her brobro!”

and even tho she was forewarned she wasnt expecting DIPPER so she SCREAMS

she shuts her eyes and stills her breathing and sits up.

so once shes a little more calm they explain the whole adventure to her

paz feels a little honored they came all this way just for her

they get pazs shit together and exit the tower through the door

she says goodbye to the gnomes. all by name.

“oh yeah mom and dad made them my personal guard when i was like...eight. theyve been prepping for this my whole life. they’ll meet me back at the castle.” so then she starts telling them about herself and her last like

two years of being asleep w a DREAM DEMON

“sometimes i got the weirdest nightmares??? and they never ended. but when i woke up i couldnt remember anything specific.”

she and dipper talk away from the group. he tells her about how hes her true love and everything “okay well. we’ll have to lie to my parents and say it was a spell. bc they will NOT approve of us being true loves and if they hurt you...”

“then they hurt *you* too!” dipper finishes (idk maybe a combo w a soulmate au thing?)

meanwhile mabel is like...whining about boy problems??? and wendy is like “this is y boys r dumb.”

soos is like...wandering off. I WANNA INCORPORATE MELODY BUT WHO SHOULD SHE BE?!

paz and dipper start like....arguing about how to deal w her parents

apparently they actually ARENT that nice. if she doesnt marry a prince they’ll give her over to bill completely...or something idk

they load the ship and sail to wendys kingdom next

they stay a few days to recuperate

paz has trouble sleeping bc when she does the nightmares come back.

cue a kat.niss/pee.ta thing where paz sleeps next to dips bc it keeps the nightmares away

wendy has to explain why soos isnt w them to her dad who kinda shrugs it off?

“u proved u can protect urself.” or something.

after like.....a whole fucking year the twins are heading home.

paz and dipper sleep together on the ship too bc its just fucking easier

paz is nervous to meet the grunks

she and dipper arent exactly....dating??? its def more like soulmate au

where theyre AWARE theyre supposed to be together but they dont even rly know if they WANT to be together.

mabel is already planning a big royal wedding.

shes the captain of the dip.ifica ship and shes gotta keep her crewmembers in the know!!!

the twins also wrote to the grunks the whole time so!!!! no worries!!!

paz tries writing to her parents...but she can never find the right words.

meeting the grunks isnt as bad as she thought???

stan loves her off the bat. partially bc shes rich and bc she doesnt take shit

ford is pleased to meet the girl he saved and shes v v thankful to him for saving her life as best he could.

it takes her like a YEAR to write the letter.

she promises her parents she’ll return. AFTER shes married.

at this point she and dipper ARE together. they figured all theyre confusion out and are just living the good life!

mabel and wendy are doing the long distance thing. shes still friends w mermando.

robbie and tambry found paz and they write back and forth.

u CAN TAKE ROBBIE AND PAZ SIBLINGS FROM MY DECOMPOSING HANDS!!!

everything is as happily ever after as it can get.

and then dipper proposes despite knowing what it means.

BUT THATS A WHOLE OTHER ADVENTURE!!!!

Did you say one-shot? Because my brain apparently didn’t. This could definitely stand on its own as a one-shot, but there is going to be more of this. Mostly because I have been wanting to write a BNHA Fantasy AU so freaking bad and this hit all my buttons. It won’t be regularly updated like my other fics, but this was a lot of fun to write. I got way into writing the backstory for this. (Guess who they’re traveling to speak with. lmao)

When Uraraka had been given the order to protect the prince during their journey through the barbarian lands, she had been incredibly displeased. If there was one thing she had learned in her life, it was that royals were arrogant and snotty. They had far too much money than they knew what to do with, spending it frivolously while the little people wanted for more, and thought themselves better than everyone else.

Still, despite her attempts during her childhood to avoid all things royal, as she had gotten older and her magic stronger, the king had seen it fit to bring her to the court. After all, magic was power and power meant a stronger rule. He was already a man who ruled his people with an iron fist and he had ensured that Uraraka was a part of that rule. It hadn’t helped that her magic was stronger than most wizards or witches twice her age or more.

After years of war between their country and the large barbarian tribe that hung around their borders, there had been talk of a treaty. Uraraka wouldn’t have been interested in it if not for the fact that magic was more prevalent there. She’d even heard talk that they had dragons! Her magic was unique in her world, making people both revere and fear her at times. She felt removed from everyone, especially since she’d been taken from her parents when she was younger and forced to live on the outskirts of the castle like she belonged to the royal family.

Being tasked with the crowned prince’s protection had not been a pleasant one, but it afforded the opportunity to leave, spread her wings, and explore a world that she had only dreamed of. If she had to deal with some uppity prince in order to do that, she would suffer it. She had learned to ignore a lot of things in her time after being brought to court. A snotty rich kid who would one day be king would be simple enough to deal with. He probably wouldn’t even leave the safety of his horse drawn carriage unless it was to complain. Maybe she could even pretend that she was on some grand adventure instead of babysitting some highborn ponce.

Having really only seen Prince Shouto Todoroki from a distance and at royal functions, being kept away from him, Uraraka had not interacted with him personally. She hadn’t been allowed to, seeing as how she wasn’t from a highborn family. Although she wasn’t considered lowborn anymore, it was easier to interact with them. Being stuck in the middle left her in a strange limbo, belonging to neither and making both resent her on some level. She had expected that of Todoroki as well. From what she’d seen of him, he was aloof and cold, allowing very few close to him, even if many highborn girls fawned over him. She supposed he was attractive, even with that mysterious burn on the side of his face, but that was offset by his distant superiority complex.

Of course the prince was nothing like she’d anticipated.

Besides Todoroki, a few other highborn members of the court had come along with them on the journey to hold the treaty talks. They all stayed in the carriage, peeking their heads out to complain or demand something. With Uraraka’s position as the mage of their company, nearly all of their orders were directed to her or the head of their guard, a young but very serious knight named Teyna Iida. He was much more intense about the whole thing, but then there had been reports of attacks on caravans and the like. It was partly why the king had decided to speak with barbarian tribe about a peace treaty. They could provide protection on the road for a price and also allow more trade to come in, their lands rich with bounty that they didn’t have in their borders.

While most people rode horses, some were forced to walk. Uraraka hated the idea of riding above others that were less fortunate, so she had chosen to walk like many of the lower-born knights and tradesmen. It helped that she was more familiar with them too. She kept her staff on her at all times, just in case, and a small pack filled with potions and herbs should she need them.

As soon as the castle was out of sight, the door to the carriage opened and the prince stepped out effortlessly without even bothering to ask for it to be stopped. She peered at him, expecting him to complain about the heat or bugs, but instead, he asked a young green-haired knight, “Can you retrieve my horse for me?”

Izuku Midoriya was one of the higher-born knights and a close companion of both the prince and many other knights in their company. He was friendly in a way that made people both high and lowborn flock to him. Out of everyone, Uraraka had only seen him act as a friend to Todoroki. Even as the prince remained impassive, Midoriya was often smiling and laughing. He was kind. When many other highborns sneered at her for her lowborn blood and even some of the knights shunned her for her magic, he always went out of his way to speak with her. He was one of the few people in the castle that had made her time bearable in the past. She wondered how someone with such a good heart as him was able to be friends with someone as unapproachable as Todoroki.

Now as they were traveling, Midoriya grinned down at the prince from his horse. “Was the carriage not to your liking or was it the company?”

Todoroki sighed. “If I have to listen to Monoma complain about ‘savages’ and their rumored customs one more time, I might throw him out.”

Midoriya laughed as he waved down a knight to bring over a beautiful white horse that only Todoroki was allowed to ride. “I don’t think anyone would be upset with you if you did.”

“Not to mention Yaoyozoru’s constant hints about a betrothal between me and his daughter are threatening to drive me mad.” Todoroki took the reins of the white horse, bringing a hand to softly caress it. Despite his tired and displeased tone, a faint smile cross his face as he mumbled something for only his horse to hear. It was an unexpectedly soft gesture that took Uraraka by surprise. Maybe she shouldn’t have been eavesdropping, but she was only a meter away.

“You’re quite popular,” Midoriya teased.

With practiced ease, Todoroki pulled himself up onto his horse and swung his leg over. He looked like a natural, like he’d been born to ride, but then, many highborns were like that. Commoners didn’t get the chance to ride horses as often unless they worked with them. Uraraka liked riding horses, but she didn’t want some of the lowerborn knights and members of their company to think that she thought herself better than them. Still, she had been admiring Todoroki’s horse earlier. He was one of her favorites at the royal stables.

“It’s not me that’s popular. It’s the crown.” There was no bitterness in Todoroki’s voice, but there wasn’t any happiness either. Unlike Uraraka, who was stuck somewhere in between, the prince knew his place. He had his restraints as well. Instead of looking upset or disappointed by it, he’d accepted his role. “And that’s what will be behind any motivation of my father’s choosing for the future queen. As if I have any choice in the matter. He should be talking with the king, not me. It’s just bothersome.”

Though she had never felt any sort of pity for him before, Uraraka thought that rather sad. He was wealthy beyond any imaginable means and would rule this country one day, but there were some things that he would never be able to have. Something as simple as love was not to be in his future. Even if Uraraka found it difficult to form some connections because of her magic, she would at least have a choice. So far, she’d chosen to not consider it at all, focusing on her magic and building her strength, but it wouldn’t have to always be that way.

They continued the rest of the day in relative silence. The guards talked amongst each other while the tradesmen stuck with one another. Midoriya often acted as a go between for all of them, weaving his horse through the group to speak with Iida for updates and then back to where Todoroki rode in silence.

The prince was still aloof as ever, but for the first time, Uraraka noticed something different about him. He was at ease. She’d never realized how tense he was before, but now she saw just how uncomfortable he’d been every time she saw him at court. Out here, he was much more at ease, his body relaxed and his expression one of passive content. He had probably never been far from the castle either now that she thought about it. This trip must have been a chance for him to escape the confines of his royal blood on some level.

As the sun began to set, Iida decided that they would stop and make camp. It was at least a three days journey to the border if nothing came up to stop them or so she’d been told by a knight named Jirou. It was rare for women to be knights, but she had lived on the border of the country and was more familiar with the barbarian tribe than most people. Where she had grown up, fighting had been much more common and it hadn’t mattered what gender you were. A woman could still die by the sword or flame.

Unlike the other highborn members of their group, Prince Todoroki was active in helping set up base camp. He did simple things such as help other pitch their tents before insisting on helping with his own. Naturally, it was larger than the rest and more elaborate as well. She caught a few members of their group gazing at it enviously, but no one said anything. Very few spoke out against the Todoroki family. The king was feared and respected and, despite his harsh rule at times, he was mostly a just king. Uraraka simply didn’t like him, but even she kept her mouth shut.

She was in the process of setting up her own tent when a voice from behind asked her, “Do you require any assistance, my lady?”

Ready to brush off another attempt from one of the knights to engage her, Uraraka huffed and said, “I’m not some hapless maidan.” However, when she turned around, she found herself standing face-to-face with the prince and her face burned a furious pink. “Oh, I’m sorry. I didn’t know–” Speaking so brusquely to one of royal blood was a punishable offense. She often spoke sharply to highborns, seeing as how they meant very little to her when put up against her magic, but not to someone like him. “I apologize, Your Grace.”

Todoroki, on the other hand, didn’t seem phased by her behavior in the slightest. “There’s no need to be so formal around me.” That was easy for him to say. He was the bloody crowned prince of the whole kingdom. “I don’t think that you’re hapless. I merely want to make sure I pull my weight around camp.”

“I’m fine, really!” Uraraka insisted. With a simple swirl of her left hand, the tent seemingly pitched itself up with the help of invisible hands. She’d learned to do that a few years ago. Even the simplest magic helped build her strength, so she had to continually use it for even trivial things.

Todoroki’s eyes widened almost imperceptibly. He was very good at hiding how he felt. “You’re the court mage.”

“I wouldn’t say that I’m a mage. That sounds so fancy.” Uraraka held her staff closer to her. “I’m more like a witch, if I’m being honest.”

“I was told that you were a part of my guard,” Todoroki said in such a serious tone. “You were walking nearby the whole time and I didn’t even acknowledge you. I apologize for my rudeness.”

A nervous laugh tumbled out of Uraraka’s lips. She was talking to the prince like it was normal. This was not normal. “It’s not a big deal. I usually tend to keep to myself, even at the castle. I don’t like drawing attention to myself much. It’s…not always positive when I do.”

“Because of your magic?”

Uraraka nodded her head. “Most people find it fascinating and admire it.” She held out her hand and opened it palm up, a ball of light appearing in it as she did. With the sun close to falling down the horizon, the light provided them better vision and she watched the way it glowed in his eyes as he focused on it. “Others though…” The ball of light turned into a swirl of darkness that enveloped her hand and took it out of sight. “It’s a curse, something to be feared. I’m considered little more than a weapon of the kingdom.”

“Have you ever had to use your magic in battle before?” Todoroki’s question was so straightforward that it took her aback. There hadn’t been any fear in his eyes as he’d watched her use her magic. It had been more than curiosity as well. He had looked… Well, it was hard for her to tell what he’d looked like, but his face had been more open than she could ever remember him appearing.

“Once,” Uraraka admitted. “When the neighboring kingdom sent someone to assassinate you.”

Recognition lit up in Todoroki’s eyes as he snapped them back up to hers. “You saved me then?” His gaze was almost too much for her, his mismatched eyes filled with intensity, to the point where she almost took a step back. She bit her lip, but nodded her head again. “Why was I not made aware of this?”

“Well, your father – the king, I mean – keeps me at the castle for such reasons, but he prefers for me to…not mingle much with the court.” Uraraka shifted uncomfortably on her feet. “I come from a very lowborn family, but was brought to the castle when my powers began to bloom. I suppose there’s not much magic left in these lands, so I’m considered an important tool.”

Todoroki stared at her. “You’re not a tool.” He spoke with such conviction that it nearly knocked the wind out of her chest, as if he had some sort of magic that could do that. Why was he being so nice to her? He was of royal blood. He would be king one day. She might have to fight to the death to protect him, but he didn’t even need to acknowledge her presence. “You are an important member of the royal court and my personal guard and you should be treated as such with the proper respect.”

Uraraka blushed again. “I’m used to it…”

“I’ve heard tale that your magic is extremely powerful,” Todoroki continued, “though I’ve never seen it until now.” He frowned. “I thought…” She found herself leaning in as he trailed off, a troubled look crossing his face. “I’ve seen you around the castle for years. I thought you were a serving girl of some sort. I never even knew…”

“Don’t fret!” Uraraka said hastily. “That appearance was what the king thought was best. If I remained unassuming, I could serve my purpose better.” She smiled. “Besides, who would believe that the kingdom’s most treasured weapon and mage was a young girl?”

When Todoroki stepped forward and took one of her hands in both of his, Uraraka nearly jumped out of her shoes. She might have accidentally zapped them both with a bit of magic, but he didn’t blink. “That’s unacceptable. You shouldn’t be hidden in the dark. If you’re a sign of power, then you should be allowed to show your face to the world.”

She didn’t know what to say. Honestly, she wasn’t sure if she was even capable of words right now. She was beginning to understand why he had such a polarizing effect on many of the highborn girls at court. Not that it meant anything! Uraraka managed to put on a weak smile and say, “Thank you,” if only because there was no way she could get anything else out. Her magic felt like it was burning through her veins and it was all she could do to contain it. Sometimes, her emotions made it go haywire, especially when she was nervous.

“You should eat with us tonight,” Todoroki told her.

That sounded…terrible. She could only imagine eating at a hastily made dining area in the main tent that was serving as a base of sorts with all the other highborns, many of whom sneered at her. Ugh, especially Lord Monoma. He was young like that, but had taken over as the head of his family after his father’s hunting accident. He was one of her main tormentors. She’d love to turn him into a toad, but alas, it would only end badly for her.

“I usually have my meals with Midoriya and Iida,” Todoroki continued before she could answer. “The others are…”

“Grating on the nerves?” Uraraka offered.

A ghost of a smile crossed Todoroki’s face. “I was going to say ‘difficult’, but Midoriya would say that was more appropriate.”

She did get on well with Midoriya and she liked Iida. Both of them were serious about their positions and jobs to protect the prince, but they could be light-hearted and they had always been friendly to her. It would be nice to have a meal with them and be treated as closer to an equal. She was still wary, of course, mostly because the prince would be there, but she had a strange feeling that he was thinking the same thing. Yes, he was above them all, but there would be times when not being treated as such came as a relief.

This journey was a way to feel that for the both of them apparently.

“So, will you join us tonight?” Todoroki asked.

“If you don’t mind,” Uraraka replied.

“I will have Midoriya find you when it’s ready.” Todoroki finally let go of her hand. Uraraka tried not to act like she hadn’t been holding her breath the entire time. “There’s still work to do around camp and I should see to the others.” They could hear someone yelling. It sounded like one of the highborns was displeased about the rate their tent was being set up. Todoroki sighed. “A prince’s duty never ends.”

It was very close to a joke and Uraraka bit back a smile. She gave a small bow, which he returned, and then he gave her his leave, taking off the in the direction of the shouting. As soon as he was out of her sight, Uraraka ducked into her tent and put her face in her hands. She’d talked to the prince! He’d grabbed her hand! He’d invited her to dine with Midoriya and Captain Iida! What was going on? This was definitely going to be an interesting journey.

Plot Wishlist Ideas

It’s my first time trying something like this so pardon if it’s odd.

The basic layout for Sofi is that she eventually always ends up with a roommate, either on purpose or accidental. On purpose is like answering a notice saying she’s looking for one, and accidental means she either offers her place or Muse B just ends up staying over at her place so much they just start leaving their clothes and stuff and basically live there without either of them realizing it.

In a k-drama like fashion there can be some instance where Muse B is meeting Sofi when she’s always collected and pretty normal, y’know. But one day runs into her at a bar or leaving some club and she’s just... horrendously drunk. Takes her somewhere quiet and it turns out she’s a talkative sleepy drunk and falls asleep on them. Please take her home, Muse B should know where she lives by now.

There is a drawer in her desk in the living room. Way in the back is a photo turned face down with evidence of being torn and taped back together. Looking at it, Muse B will see two people very happily posed with the Eiffel Tower in the background. There’s wedding bands on their fingers. But there’s no sign of the guy.. and Sofi isn’t wearing the ring anymore.

Basically give me a k-drama, where the city is like 5 blocks big so everyone keeps running into each other and just... I’m currently watching Romance is a Bonus Book.

Bar Buddies. For some reason these two keep coming to the bar on the same night at the same time and start bonding over what’s been going on during their week while getting drunk.

Muse B might be a late night partyer outgoing person so they get home late but it's right when sofi has to get up for work. so they stay awake while she's making breakfast. bonus points if they're a clingy sleepy person.

Basically Patalliro. If anyone’s familiar with it or wants to get into it. There’s 19 episodes in eng sub and a whole translated manga besides. If you like bishounen boys in 80s aesthetic with flowers and sparkle backgrounds n stuff. There’s like 45 episodes total. If someone could play Maraich for me that would be... g r e a t. I even have icons for him. Sofi would be replacing Ban as a FBI lookin agent. Same concept?

A) Non Modern. Full forest. She lives there and protects it. Works with The White Witch verse, or just a rustic sort of town surrounded by forest. Protects from possible danger and the season never changes from Spring/Summer. The Last Unicorn vibes.

B) Modern. No Forest. A city has since been built over the forest she’s meant to protect so now she has to live within the city, pretending to be a normal person. Can work with modern/model verse.

Always a sucker for spoiled princely character meets servant who does not take any of that bs. If it’s non-modern, she can be the apothecary assistant or the apothecary herself.

CENTAURS

Someone actually calls Sofi out for the wreck that she is. A wreck loaded with denial.

Post or Pre- fiance break up. Instead of Sofi already having called it off with the guy, she meets the new person during the last stages of the relationship falling apart.

Your character is in a bad situation and Sofi decides ‘mine now.’ Like taking in a heccin’ stray cat.

Sofi’s house is full of weird stuff, like fairies live in her balcony garden. She might have a brownie doing her cleaning chores. Maybe while your character is over a troll stops by. Her home functions as a sort of safe space for magical creatures kind of just.. lost..

Spicy Ones

roommate au where it just turns into her asking 'you know you have your own bed right?'

roommate a/u where they’ve been friends for so long that the line is kind of blurred into becoming friends with almost benefits but not quite cause sofi plays hard to get but boy howdy do they get close.

roommate a/u kind of combining this plot and this plot so childhood friends become basically lovers without saying so but also muse b is a hoe. maybe she finds out accidentally he does cam show stuff maybe she’s known for a while and doesn’t care. point is their relationship is at a point where he’ll be doing stuff and you just see her in the background just like ignoring it. it becomes a thing. eventually she starts participating idk.

Other ideas include they’re roommates but Muse B is a bit of a playboy who brings people over for the night. Sofi doesn’t care as long as he pays rent, she’s fine. But over time it becomes less playboying and more actually connecting with the person they’re sharing an app with to the point its only being a hoe for Sofi.
