Part Two Part Three | Ivan Of Zandar x Fem!Reader | Request

Crashes and the sounds of harsh kicks and punches sounded from the woods. It was a not-so-calm day for the rangers, Sledge being up to mischief again. It was their usual battle routine, fighting vivixs and then the new monster of the day. Well, they thought it was. They felt defeated and weak, beginning to lose hope on defeating the monster. That was when a light blue silhouette came from the woods and began fighting. It immediately snapped the rangers out of their fatigue. It was... another ranger?! It couldn't be, surely not! And... no way. They couldn't believe their eyes, you had just frozen the monsters. All fell silent for a moment, the only sounds being the heavy breathing of all the rangers.
"Who... who are you?!"
You turned your head, alarmed. You fell silent, pondering if you should trust them or not. They, too, were dressed like you. They must have powers like you do. Gingerly, you removed your ranger helmet, softly shaking your head to free your hair. They all stared in shock, all except one. Ivan lay there, staring, admiring your beauty. The way you shook your hair free made his heart swoon. You inhaled shakily, nervous to introduce yourself.
"(Y/L/N). (Y/N) (Y/L/N). You guys are like me... aren't you?"
As you spoke, you approached Ivan. You reached your hand out to Ivan, offering to help him up. Nervously, he took your gloved hand and stood up. He removed his helmet, as you did, and introduced himself. Preparing himself for what he was about to do, he gently reached for your hand. He held your hand up and began to introduce himself.
"Sir Ivan, Knight Of Zandar, the Gold Ranger. Pleasure to meet you, milady." He finished the sentence by pressing a gentle kiss to the top of your hand, causing both of your cheeks to turn a soft pink. The rest of the rangers got up and introduced themselves to you. They offered to take you back to their base, and you hesitantly agreed to their offer. They were all intrigued by you, especially by your powers. Of course, the energems had made them stronger and all that, but none of the other rangers had been gifted with ice powers like you had.
On the walk back to the base, you dazzled them with your powers. You created gorgeous snowflakes with your bare hands and made it snow in the small area you were in. All the rangers were giggling happily, messing around in the snow. You all laughed together as you wrapped up the snow and kept walking. Ivan made a point to keep close to you, and as you became acquainted with the rangers, you noticed Ivan still had a small bit of snow on his face. You giggled and wiped it off of his nose. He was flustered at this and blushed. You quickly realised how strange it must have seemed and began explaining and apologising. He let out a small chuckle and reassured you that it was okay. The rangers saw the interaction and immediately noticed how soft Ivan was being around you. They all gasped as they realised what was going on.
Ivan. Had. A. Crush.
They all started giggling at this, Ivan and you turned towards them. You questioned what they were laughing at, all of them brushing it off and saying it was nothing. You shrugged it off and made your way to the base.

You sat in the base, becoming properly introduced to everyone in the team. You demonstrated your powers once again, impressing Kendall. She told you that you should work in the museum and join the team. You were hesitant, is this really what you wanted? You told her you needed to think about it and said you were taking a walk. You sat on some steps outside the museum silently. You heard footsteps approaching and turned around. It was Ivan; he silently asked permission to sit next to you, and you nodded. He sat beside you and began to talk.
"I can understand why you may be hesitant to join. I was hesitant once too." He chuckled lightly, likely reminiscing back to when he first joined the team. His light laugh strangely reassured you. "but, believe me, joining the team is one of the best decisions you'll ever make. I have no regrets. The rangers are my family and I'm sure they'll become yours too."
You exhaled softly and turned your head to look at him. He stared into your eyes reassuringly. You felt his hand lay atop of yours and looked down at your hands. He quickly realised what he had done and drawn his hand back. You both sat there in silence, blushing.
"Okay. I'll join you."
He smiled at you, once again assuring you that you definitely wouldn't regret it at all. With him around, you're sure you wouldn't regret it. Ever since you layed eyes on Ivan, you felt comforted by his presence. In fact, you even thought you might have a tiny crush on him, as pathetic as it sounded. If you were to trust any of the rangers, it was him. You sat in silence for a few moments.
"Hey, um, Ivan. I don't really wanna go back inside yet, do you wanna go grab something to eat with me?"
He nodded happily and stood up. He took your hand, the same way you had taken his that day in the forest and helped you up. As you stood, you slipped a spot of ice and tripped. Damn you and showing off your powers and then forgetting to melt it. You let out a small shriek before crashing into Ivans chest. He just barely caught you before swooping you into his arms. He held you there for a moment, looking deeply into your eyes. You kept eye contact for a few moments before realising your compromising position. You were held in Ivans arms, bridal style, in broad daylight. A blush rose to your cheeks as you both realised this. Slowly, Ivan gently placed you down onto your feet, making sure you were stable this time. Little did they know the rangers had seen and snapped a picture. Oh, how they would tease Ivan about it later.

You walked to some stalls in a park, you getting a bubble tea while Ivan bought a strawberry milkshake. He also bought you a waffle to share. You offered to pay for it, but he was insistent on purchasing it and proving chivalry isn't dead. There weren't very many benches in the park available, other than a small section of one that would just about be able to squeeze both of you onto it.
You both squeezed on, incredibly close to each other, and began talking. Ivan told you all the stories he had from being a knight, to which you intently listened. You told Ivan all about your past and powers. You discussed your different ranger stories and much more. Ivan made your feel safe, you felt as if you could trust him for day one. As you were retelling one of your stories, Ivan couldn't help but begin admiring your beauty once again. He took in all your features, your gorgeous eyes, your perfect smile, the way your hair blew in the wind just right to make you look even prettier than usual. You were just so perfect. Ivan was in love. This wasn't just a small, schoolboy crush. He was certain. It is love. There was no way it was anything other than love.
The wind began getting strong, people deciding to get out of the park and go inside. You were wearing a gorgeous, short, summer dress (one that made Ivan become even further enamoured with your appearance) and began to feel slightly chilly. Heck, it made no sense, you were the ice ranger but still sensitive to temperature. You held your arms around yourself to try to preserve heat. The motion didn't go unnoticed by Ivan.
"You seem cold, milady. Please, take my coat. You need it more than I do."
You looked at him in shock. Was he sure? You politely turned it down, not wanting to be rude. He kept insiting, reassuring you that even without his coat, he would be fine. You kept declining until he made the choice to wrap it around you anyway. As soon as the coat was placed around you shoulders, you pulled it around yourself even tighter. It was so nice and warm, you sighed in content. Ivan smiled at this and took your hand, guiding you back to the museum.

It had been a week since you had joined the Rangers team. You had settled in perfectly. You were on break in the base whilst the rest of your friends worked. All of the rangers absolutely loved you, especially Ivan. They all stood in the kitchen, busy at work. Since you had been recruited, they changed out an old picture of the team and switched it out for one that had you in it. Ivan stood at the wall where it was pinned, staring intently at your smiling face with a lovesick smile. He was snapped out of his thoughts by Tyler's playful voice.
"Ivan! We get it, you have a huge crush on (Y/N) but can you stop staring at that picture and get back to work?" He turned his head around fast enough to give himself whiplash, seeming shocked at the allegation. "Sir Tyler, I've not got a clue what you're talking about, (Y/N) is merely a colleague." The Rangers snorted in laughter at this. They pulled out the picture of you and Ivan a week prior, you in Ivans arms.
"C'mon man," came Chase's voice. "You've obviously got the hots for (Y/N), we all see the way you stare at her. Especially when you were holding her like that. Good on you, dude, you'd be a great couple."
Ivan called it nonsensical, but he couldn't hide the blood that rushed to his cheeks at the thought of you two being a couple. He sighed and admitted it. "Fine, I might have just a little crush on her. But you mustn't tell her!" They all promised Ivan that they wouldn't dare tell you ever, and they all moved on with their shifts.

Another week had passed since that conversation, you being none the wiser to even knowing that it'd even happened. It was afterhours, Kendall had purposefully put you and Ivan on the closing shift together. You two were cleaning up, you on a high ladder dusting. You were in the middle of an interesting conversation and you were so engrossed in it that you forgot you were on a high ladder. You slipped once again and screamed. Within a moments notice, Ivan was beneath you and ready to catch you. You landed in his arms again, still in shock from the fall. You were both quiet, too stunned to utter a word. Suddenly, your stunned expression faded and turned into a humoured one. You began to giggle, which turned into an echoing laugh that caused Ivan to swoon over the sound. He asked you what you found so amusing to which you responded,
"It's just... It's just, uh, I'm getting deja vu. We're right back at square one again - me being your damsel in distress with you as my personal knight in shining armour." He couldn't help but smile at your words and even began to let out a small laugh himself. Your laughter died down, and you began examining Ivan's features. God, he was so pretty. Before you knew what you were saying, you began to talk. "Ivan, I think im in love with you." You gasped in shock at your words, preparing yourself to jump down and run away forever. Ivans grip on you tightened, and he stared at you in admiration. He couldn't hold it back any longer, he leaned forward and pulled you into a passionate kiss
"I've been waiting to hear those words since the second I met you, milady."

Unbeknownst to the two in the café, the Rangers were watching the cameras in the base. They were excitedly watching and waiting for something to happen. As your lips made contact with Ivan, they broke into loud cheers. High fives were shared throughout the base. Even Miss Morgan got involved, which says a lot.
"WHOOOOOOO, IVAN'S GOT A GIRLFRIEND!!!"

Brother Red
You and Chase have been dating in secret because of your twin brother Tyler. Of course Chase is your brothers best friend but if he found out he would be pissed. When you get the lead in a movie called 'Zombies' everyone was happy and on the first day you and co-starts had to sing the song 'Jailhouse Rock' (Alternate Universe. Their Disney Zombies is different) and a few other songs as well. The whole time you were singing Chase was giving you heart eyes and it didn't take long for Tyler to notice. The thought of his twin sister having a boyfriend pissed him of.
Sometime after you finished filming the movie the secret of your relationship started to get out. First you only told Shelby and Chase only told Riley. But then they figured out that the other person knew as well.
"Hey Riley can you go into Chases bedroom and get that book back the he, uh borrowed from me?" Shelby asked him.
"Uhh, now? You want me to go over there now?" Riley asked back. She nodded
"Do you know something?" Riley asked curiously.
"Do you know something?" Shelby asked back.
"I might know something."
"I might know something too."
"What's the thing that you know?"
"Oh I can't tell you what I know until you tell me what you know."
"I can't tell you what l know."
"Well then I can't tell you what I know."
"Okay fine, you don't know."
"Alright, how about I go over there and I walk into chases bedroom and see the thing that I know is actually the thing that I think that I know!"
"AHH, YOU KNOW!"
"AND YOU KNOW!"
"YEAH I KNOW!"
"Chase and Y/N? Oh this is unbelievable. How long have you known?"
"To long. Shelby I've been dying to talk to someone about this for so long. But listen, you can't say anything to anybody, they're so weird about that."
All Shelby did was nod and then Ivan came into the room.
"Ivan!" Riley said greeting his ancient friend.
"Hey. It's raining out there and I don't like to train in the rain." Ivan spoke formally to them.
"I am gonna go for a walk in the rain." Riley said and looked at Shelby.
"Oh yeah, me too." Shelby said and followed him outside. A few days after Riley and Shelbys little episode, Koda, Ivan and Kendall found out.
"OMG, Chase and Y/N." Kendall screamed.
"Chase and Y/N." Ivan repeated.
"Oh." Koda says while covering his eyes and didn't want to see what his two best friends were doing.
"Guys." Riley said trying to get them to stop.
"No, no they're doing it." Kendall said to them like they're stupid.
"Guys, we know. We know." Shelby says to her friends.
"You knew?" Ivan asked/screamed.
"Yes I know it, Riley knows it, but Tyler doesn't know so you guys have to stop screaming." Shelby yelled. The worst part was that you almost got caught a few times.
Chase climbed up a tree and softly nocked on your bedroom window. You opened it only to see Chase. "What are you doing here?" "To see you. Is that such a problem?" "Yes! What if Tyler came in right now?" "We'll be fine." The two of you heard a nock on the door. "Hide." He quickly kissed your check and hid. You went up to the door and opened it. "Hey, brother. What's up?" "I thought I heard you talking to someone." "Nope, must have been my computer that I just closed." "Well, dad and mum are making hot chocolate. Do you want any?" "No, Tyler I do not want hot chocolate. Honestly we're 18 years old." "Sorry, I just thought someone said they wanted to live in a chocolate house." "Well that's impractical." You closed the door and opened it again "And fating." You closed the door and Chase looked at you "What?" "Chocolate house." You just rolled your eyes in that moment.
2. You came home while wearing chases jacket. You went inside the house and Tyler turned on the lights. "Crap." "Mhmmm. What are you doing up, and why are you wearing chases jacket?" "Ummm, about that. I went on a date but the guy stood me up. Chase found me, saw that I was cold, let me use his jacket and he brought me home."
3. When Tyler went out on a date with Shelby you invited chase to watch a movie. You both fell asleep but woke up when you heard a car door. "Go out the back way." He gave you a goodbye kiss. "Go." You fell back to sleep, relived that you didn't caught.
Lets just say a few weeks after almost getting caught, the 4th time you got caught. Tyler was pissed and chased your boyfriend/ he's friend around the room.
"Tyler stop." Shelby yelled.
"Chase get back here." Tyler yells ignoring his girlfriend. Everyone was running, trying to stop Tyler from murdering Chase. The base was in utter chaos.
This went on for about 5-10 hours. Kendall had enough of this and yelled,
"EVERYBODY SHUT UP, STOP MOVING AND LISTIN!"
You all did as she said.
"Look Tyler, just because your best friend is dating your sister, you're gonna kill him?" Kendall asked confused as anything.
"Yes!" The Red Ranger replied. Kendall rolled her eyes while thinking of a way to stop this madness.
"My best friend and my sister, I can't believe this." Tyler muttered.
"Look mate, we're not just messing around, I love her. Okay? I'm in love with her." Chase said seriously.
"It's true T, I love him too." You said to your brother.
He then looked at the two of you and said,
"Awww, my best friend and my sister."
"So you're not mad?" You asked him.
"Of course I'm still mad, you're not of the hook Chase, and nither are you sis. But I.... approve. Chase if you ever hurt her, you're dead for real." He replied seriously.
"Wouldn't dream of it." Chase said while looking at you and you blushed.
"Big news."
"Aww, that's okay, we already Knew." Ivan said and everyone looked at him with the 'What the heck' look.
"What?! You Knew and you didn't tell me?" Tyler asked.
"Well, we new how upset you can be and we were worried about you." Shelby said to her protective boyfriend.
"You were worried about me?" He asked in shock. Even though Tyler approved it still didn't stop him to start chasing his best friend around when Chase looked at you or kissed you, and it always went into chaos, but seeing you happy my your twin happy.

He was a prince and a power ranger when he was with the other rangers
Today he got a call saying he was needed on a mission
When he finally arrived he walk in to the base
His coat over his shoulder
He was a bit over dressed
He was get beefed on the mission when a yell came from the above ground entrance that no one used
"Can sometimes help me with these books" his eye tracked to you
You had baggy black jeans and a brown tank top
Him and kota grabbed the some of the books you were carrying
"Thanks" you said putting the books on a shelf that Kendall told you to
"And you might be" Philip asked
"Oh sorry you magisty" you said doing a half bow "I'm y/n copper ranger"
"Y/n" chase yelled. You walked off to see what he need leave philip were he was standing
The next time you talked was on the mission it self
You had to disarm a bomb placed by fury on the coast of the city
You had the dinosaur the nodosaur an extremely tought skinned dinosaur
You,Philip, and Kendall had to got down in a meg zurd combo with all 3 meg zurdz
In the end the bomb was disabled and you and Philip talked about thing in life and just got to know ow each other
It was fun for him to here about a normal life.

Modern Rock Lee Headcanons pt. 2

Rock Lee x gn! reader
Fluff with a side of fluff
It's never a boring car ride with him
He definitely sings along with the music that's playing and he would probably make a little microphone with his fist and you two could have a duet
I feel like he would be one of those people that say that he listens to everything and actually does
It's great
He also has a playlist for when you're in the car so it has music that he knows you like too
But he wouldn't have his music blasting or anything, like it'd be loud enough for a mini concert on the way to the grocery store but not loud enough for the people in the next car to hear
Definitely listens to TOTO regularly
Lots of 70-90s music, not that he doesn't listen to anything else but that's what's mainly on his playlist
He loves sweaters. LOVES THEM.
God forbid you get matching sweaters for any occasion
Honey's gonna be glued to you until you take them off for bed
If you ever by chance have explosive diarrhea or a stomach bug, know that you won't be bored or alone on your phone in the bathroom
He's getting you meds and either sitting in the tub or on the bathroom floor trying to talk/make you laugh and distract you while spraying some febreze every once in a while
He's a huge Spiderman fan and when you guys went to go see the second spider-verse movie there was a week of him just jumping around your house/apartment
He started doing some weird Spiderman workout that he saw on whatever social media he has afterwards too
You two probably watch certain shows together, whether it be a baking show or whatever but his guilty pleasure is Power Rangers
He knows the Power Ranger Dino Charge theme song by heart and he'll sing it softly so you don't hear it but you end up giggling at his singing and ironing his shirt
He gets flustered easily by it (your "giggle")
He aggressively does chores
You never really have to worry about upsetting him if you want to leave an event early cause he always has an excuse and always wants an excuse to be with you
If you had a bad day and you want to be alone he'll make you the most outrageous meal and stand outside your door or put it on the counter for when you're ready for it
On the other hand, if you had a bad day and you want a lot of affection he's the guy to go to
Bro will put on your favorite show/movie and get the good blanket
He's constantly talking about you at work, everyone already knows who you are the first time you visit
He crushes on some the celebrities and characters that you crush on so you can talk about them together
Some of them he questions but whatever floats your boat
Now, Lee's not someone for confrontation if he doesn't have to but he's said his fair share of words to disrespectful people for you
But he's not trying to be mean about it, he's just wants to educate folks even if it doesn't come out that way
Back to the Spiderman thing- he's absolutely done the Spiderman kiss with you with his gym's rope
He was very proud of that

'TEN YEARS FROM NOW'

"What do you think will happen to us?"
Riley lowered his gaze from the clouds, turning his head to look at you as you stared up at the clear blue sky. "What do you mean?"
You turned your head, meeting his gaze. "Where do you see us, ten years from now?"
"You want to play hypotheticals?" He smiled.
Riley squeezed your hand, your fingers intertwined as you laid on the grass, his gaze returning to the sky. It was a pleasantly boring day. No monster sightings, no evil plans to prevent and he could just relax with you. A rarity that he loved every second of.
You smiled, eyes flickering across his side profile. "Come on...write me a future."
Riley chuckled, eyes crinkling as he glanced at you. "Alright...ten years from now I'll be twenty-eight..." He thought for a moment, creating a list. "Sledge is defeated."
You jokingly rolled your eyes, turning your head to look up at the clouds. "Predictable."
Riley smiled at you as your eyes met. "Hey, you said to write a future and in said future, Sledge and all his monsters are gone."
"Fine. They're gone. What else?"
"Uh," Riley squinted in thought, "we both graduated college. We move in together after graduation."
"We're still together then?" You smirked, giggling when he leaned on his elbow, playfully shoving your shoulder before laying down again.
"We get engaged not long after graduation." He continued.
You looked at him in surprise, a smile forming on your lips.
"And married a year or so later. I got the job I want -"
"Are you ever going to tell me what it is?" You asked. Riley shushed you and you playfully rolled your eyes. "That's a no then."
"We have a nice house, big backyard," You smiled as you shifted, resting your head on his chest and his fingers instantly combed through your hair as he continued, "with one of those swing sets with the climbing frame and a slide for the kids."
You turned, resting an arm on his torso as you laid your chin on your forearm, looking up at him. "How many kids?"
"By that point? Two. Possibly three if I get you to cave." He smiled down at you and you mirrored the smile. "Preferably one boy and one girl but it's unpredictable.
"Pets?"
"A dog, maybe two. We adopted them after we moved into the house."
You smiled at him in adoration, leaning up to press a kiss to his lips. His hand lifted to your cheek as he smiled at you. "So, what do you think?"
"I can't wait."
He chuckled softly, "Me neither." Riley kissed you and when you pulled away moments later, he wrapped his arms around you, fingers playing with your hair as you both stared up at the sky, thinking about the future he had mapped out for you.
Ten years from now you knew your life would be a happy one as long as Riley was by your side.

Read It For The Pictures 28: Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers Annual 2018, by a Buttload of Creators
NK: Hello and welcome to Read it For The Pictures, the comic book Blog where we read it for the pictures! I’m Neil Kapit, and with me as always is the man voted Spiciest Shrimp on the Barbie in the Mr. Australia competition ten years running, Dave Clarke! How you doin’ Dave?
DC: Doing good cos we’ve got a special one on his week. We’re talking about special anthology issue for a long running beloved property
NK:You mean Action Comics 1000?
DC: Of course not that may actually bring in some readers. I’m talking about power rangers annual 2018
NK: This comic by Boom Studios was drawn by Artists: Marcus To, Patrick Mulholland, Dylan Burnett, Hyeonjin Kim, Simone Di Meo Writers: Kyle Higgins, Caleb Goellner, Anthony Burch, Adam Cesare, Becka Barnes, and Alwyn Dale. Though I haven’t been reading the new Power Rangers comics, I dunno, there’s a lot to compete with in Action Comics 1000. I mean, we learn the origin of the car on the cover of Action Comics 1 back in 1938. THE CAR!
DC: Sadly this book doesn’t have anything quite so needlessly banal, though it is chock full of confusing continuity.
NK: I thought that was the sole providence of Marvel and DC. Explain.
DC: The reason I thought to pick this is I picked up the 2017 annual on a sale a few weeks ago. It was a bunch of one of stories with weird artists and was pretty great. This however seems to not only setting up an event in the main title, but also building off lore in main title and is involving characters from 5 different unrelated seasons of the show.
NK: So I only ever saw the first Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers as a kid, then matured to real adult comics like X-Force and Bloodstrike, and thus only understood who the characters were in the first chapter by Higgins and To. And for the rest, I had no idea who all these colorful yet ultimately indistinguishable characters were running around and fighting. For one solemn moment I learned what it was like to be you, listening to me.
DC: Yes folks, this is the episode I’ve been threatening to do for ages where I nerd out about Power Rangers Thank god they don’t make Metal Gear comics.
NK: I am pleased to note that even though there's six different artists here, there isn't nearly as much tonal whiplash as I'd expect. Since this is a collection of short stories that all tie together to set up the "Shattered Grid" crossover, it's important that they maintain cohesion, even across different eras and universe. Aside from inevitable questions like "who the fuck is the guy with the dog's head", I wasn't lost in terms of basic narrative flow
DC: That’s one of the stranger things about it, to my eyes at least, is how conventional each of the artists are. At least compared to this in last years annual: So how much did you get of the “plot”, such as it were.
NK: TLDR: Drakkon, the Green Ranger Tommy’s evil parallel universe counterpart, is going across different worlds stealing different artifacts of power from different sets of teenagers with attitude. And other than the Power Rangers SPD sequence, they all end with “To Be Continued In Shattered Grid”, because that totally makes me feels as though this $8.00 comic was a justified purchase,
DC: Yeah I didn’t look at the price tag before picking this one.
NK: Well I've got you paying for a lot of shittier comics over the course of this project, so this is karmic payback to me.
DC: Seeing as I’m now firmly in the having to defend this position I think the cartooning in the RPM section is pretty solid. Ninja Steel section also does some very nice environment shots.
NK: It did break the common problem with licensed comic artists doing painfully obvious photo references of the actors and actresses. Not many of these actors are big-time celebrities, notwithstanding my shrine to Johnny Yong Bosch (which is much more for his anime dubbing work), so I can see why they'd do it from scratch. Still, if I knew who any of these guys were, I guess I'd feel their personalities were captured?
DC: I guess the reason this annuals exists is that whatever interdimensional epic they have planned for the main title doesn’t give enough attention to characters outside the core cast and this is a way to do that. That being said I still think they should just do an RPM title and not tease us like this
NK: And your other pick for this week was "Hunt for Wolverine", another extra-priced special that was a prologue for a larger story and did even less to advance its own plot ( flashback to Wolverine's funeral, then fight scene over Wolverine's grave, then the X-Men finding out Wolverine's not actually dead). So...bullet dodged?
DC: What can I say, I have expensive terrible taste :P I did actually start reading the Power Rangers B-title and it’s really good, so chances are I will eventually be catching up with this story. Can’t imagine I’ll have much luck in getting you to join me.
NK: I feel like this isn’t entirely fair to the multiple artists and writers, because there wasn’t anything notably bad in this comic, each one did the impressive task of setting up their respective Rangers’ unique world, and they managed to synchronize with each other surprisingly well. Other than Marcus To (the first artist, who’s done work for the Big Two) I didn’t recognize any of the names, perhaps owing to Boom Studios having less pull to get star artists, even for small part of a book this pricey
DC: Weirdly I thought the first part was the weakest art wise, though it was the most just friends hanging out and chatting. Besides this panel.
NK: It does capture the dynamism and meticulous choreography of the low-budget Sentai footage that they imported from Japan to fill out half of the Power Rangers show.
DC: I have this theory that the Power Rangers, like the Justice League, are very hard to make look good because they’re all different bright colours. The exception being the original mmpr team because black is more flexible a colour than green.
NK: Pistols at dawn, sir. They also have white as a unifying color though.
DC: You use a tonne of neutral colours to break up the brighter primaries though.

NK: OK, I've got a lot of love for Dan Mora after he worked with Grant Morrison on Klaus, so I may have to check this out
DC: Ohh.. and as great as the cover art for this annual was it features Super Samurai Red, Time Force Pink and Dino Charge Blue, who don’t appear in this issue. That’s what it needed: more teenagers with attitude.
NK: They could've brought in the 2016 movie Rangers, for the three of us that loved it.
DC: This shattered grid event isn’t over yet.
NK: Fingers crossed for autistic Billy.
DC: One final thought on this annual and Power Rangers in general: Power Rangers is everything that grant Morrison wanted the DCU to be. Constant variation on a few archetypes (see the three Batman arc, Batman inc, superman 1,000,000), always doing completely new things with the formula while also being reverent to the legacy of the franchise, never stopped being primarily for kids and completely impenetrable to newcomers. Whether you take that as a compliment to Power Rangers or an insult to Grant Morrison is up to you

The team was working in the café, tending to their usual duties. You were on waitress duty and were doing rounds of the café, giving out the plate to the corresponding table. After taking and giving out orders, you returned to the kitchen to give the new orders to Tyler and Koda and receive the prepared ones from Ivan. "Here you go, princess." You smiled at him as he placed the tray on your hands. One of the other new employees turned to you and asked, "Hey, how come Ivan calls you princess, are the two of you dating or something?" As the girl was new, she wasn't aware of the fact you were dating the Prince of Zandar. You shook your head at the new hire. "No, I'm dating someone else, but I'm not actually sure why he calls me princess, really." She just said, 'Okay!' and shrugged it off before walking off to fulfil her chores. As rush hour ended and there were fewer orders to complete, you went up to Ivan. "Hey Ivan, how come you call me princess? You never explained why." You asked curiously. "Ah, yes, I remember why I gave you that name."

Ivan had just broken out of Fury's chest, and the team was now gathered around him. Phillip had suddenly appeared and was now standing in the large group with you and the rest of the rangers. As Ivan kneeled and glanced up at the prince, he couldn't help but observe how Phillip looked at you. Ivan also couldn't help but notice how Phillip tried to be close to you at almost all times. From this observation, he assumed that the two of you were already dating. It made sense for him, Phillip stared at you with a lovesick expression, so to assume the two of you were together wasn't nonsensical. When Phillip returned back to Zandar and Ivan and began working at the café alongside you all, he began to call you Princess on a regular basis. You hadn't really noticed it, usually not hearing when he said it, and the others just chalked it up to him being old-fashioned and insistent on chivalry.

After a week or so of you and Phillip dating, you decided it was time to tell the rest of the rangers about the two of you.
You and Phillip had only known each other for about three months, but from the second Phillip first saw you, he adored you. He found you to be absolutely gorgeous and so perfect. As arrogant as he was the first time he visited the museum, he tried to soften his attitude for you. He knew what he was doing wouldn't make him look like a very appealing person to you. You seemed so sweet, and he wanted to get to know you better. However, he knew that he couldn't act like that and expect you to be fond of him. So when Phillip had the conversation with Koda and changed his attitude, you'd be lying if you said you weren't slightly attracted to the charming prince. Whenever he visited the museum to donate some money towards the exhibits, he'd always make a point to try to hang out with you as much as he could. The more you hung out, the more your crush on him developed. On one of the days you were hanging out, you were sharing a peaceful moment together. After sharing a laugh, you both fell into a comfortable silence. You stared off at something in front of you, a soft smile adorned upon your lips. He was infatuated with you, thoroughly examining your features whilst you were distracted. From the corner of your eye, you couldn't help but notice how he was staring. You turned your head to face him, eyebrows furrowed, eyes curious. The two of you held eye contact, and before you realised what he was doing, he slowly leaned forward. His eyes flickered down to your lips as he leaned in even closer to your face. His hand gently raised, and he softly placed it on your cheek. Your cheeks were a bright red, in shock about what was happening. He tilted up your head and pressed his lips to yours. Your eyes were blown wide, cheeks hot. You were certain that if anyone were to touch them, they'd get some sort of burn. Becoming used to the feeling of his lips against yours, your eyes fluttered shut. After a few moments, which felt like forever, he gently pulled back. You both sat in silence for a few seconds. "(Y/N), I'm so sorry, I-" You cut him off by pulling him into another kiss. "It's okay, Phillip. I've been waiting for that since we first became friends."
That had been a week ago, and the two of you had now been dating in secret for a week. You had both now decided to tell the team. "Hey, uh, guys. Me and Phillip are kinda dating." Ivan seemed confused by this declaration, and everyone else just nodded, unsurprised. Ivan walked away to give out an order before you could continue. "Yeah, we know, Phillip has been coming into the museum every day with your lip gloss smeared all over his lips." Tyler said. "And I saw you two kissing at the park not that long ago, gross guys." Remarked Shelby, causing you to turn a shade of bright pink at being caught in such a moment.
Unbeknownst to you, Ivan was not aware of the fact that the two of you weren't dating already. Which is the exact reason that he had seemed so confused, why declare something that's already been acknowledged and said? It didn't make much sense to him, but he decided against questioning your reasoning.

"You see, milady, I've always called you princess because of that. I believed that you were already the prince's girlfriend when I had first met both of you. I didn't have much time to correct myself as you had begun dating not long afterwards."
Ohhhhh. Right, that makes a lot more sense now.

Starlight [Jason Scott x Reader] [Power Rangers x Reader]
Author’s Note: Wow, that’s a new thing in the title–multiple pairings! There are hints of Jason ScottxReader in this, but it’s also a general Power RangersxReader sort of deal too, just a team bonding moment. I like writing snippets like this to help establish your relationship as a team, so there’s already some background when I write some more plot-heavy stuff. So this is just a random little thing, and I hope y’all enjoy.
(Also little side note that may or may not matter to you idk: I pictured the reader to be the purple Ranger, and in the Dino Charge season of PR, the purple Ranger has a plesiosaur Zord. So… that’s why you have the Zord that you do here haha)

The sunset always looks best from out here.
Angel Grove is dwarfed against the gradually disappearing sun that paints the sky in reds and yellows, but you know that in several minutes the sky will turn purple too as day gives way to night. It’s hard to believe such a tiny town in the distance could be the home of something so important. Harder still to believe said important object is resting in the depths below your favorite doughnut shop (you’ll admit it feels strange to be there after school some days filling your stomach with a glazed doughnut knowing that several hundred feet down rests the very thing you and your friends are tasked with protecting). But it all seems so… small and inconsequential from where you’re sitting right now.
“You look like you’re thinking awfully hard about something.”
The sound of your boyfriend’s voice causes you to tear your gaze away from the sunset as you glance over at him. Jason sits on his own Zord, face shield absent which allows you to see those brilliant blue eyes of his you swear you fall in love with all over again every time you look at him.
You smile lopsidedly and lean back against your own Zord, your Ranger suit clanking quietly against the metal of the massive machine. “Hard to believe the welfare of the planet rests on protecting such a small town.” You sigh and return to studying the silhouette of Angel Grove.
Jason laughs. “Might’ve been too cliché if it were a big city instead.”
“The universe is strange.”
There’s a rumble from behind you, but you don’t bother turning around to check it. You and Jason know what it is. The pounding gets louder as the interruption approaches, and suddenly four other Zords have joined yours and Jason’s. You can hear the hiss as their cockpits open and turn to greet the one who’s taken his spot to your right—Zack.
“You guys left without us?” he asks playfully, climbing up and plopping down on his Zord’s head. “I’m hurt.” He puts a hand to his chest.
You’re about to reply, but Jason is quicker, and he speaks up so he can be heard from where he is on your left. “We wanted to enjoy what we could in silence before you could talk our ears off about that concert you went to.” This remark earns a laugh from everyone.
“A concert? You didn’t tell me you went to a concert!” you add. Of course, this is in jest. If it were possible to talk a person’s ears off, you’re sure all five of you would be missing yours by now. It had been great hearing about Zack’s experience at the concert he went to a couple of weeks ago, but when five days had passed and he still brought it up, it got a little old. Love him as you all may, you really don’t need to hear about how he crowd surfed for—what, the fifth time? Or was it the sixth time he’d talked about it?
Zack smiles good-naturedly and leans back, using his hands to support himself. “Yeah, yeah.”
All of you lapse into a comfortable silence, simply taking in the sights. The sky is darkening rapidly now. Had Angel Grove indeed been a lively metropolis, this is the time when it would light up from all the street lights and cars and skyscrapers. But it’s not, and instead the sleepy town—your home, a home to all six of you—remains for the most part in darkness.
“This sight never gets old,” Kimberly comments, heaving an awed sigh. No one verbally responds, but there are head nods. Just sitting here, on your Zords, as a team, as friends, to unwind and forget about all your obligations, whether as Rangers or teenagers, is a moment none of you would trade for anything in the world. From so far out your worries seem unimportant and the armor you wear as you study the scene before you is the best protection against all harm that one could ask for, whether physical or mental or emotional.
“Ah crap.” It’s Jason who breaks the silence. “I still haven’t done that bio homework due tomorrow.”
Your eyes widen at hearing this. “Me neither.” The two of you are up and heading back into your cockpits before anyone else has the chance to register what Jason had just said.
“Wanna come over so we can work on it?” Jason asks as he sits back down in his seat.
“Don’t have to tell me twice.”
“It really wasn’t that hard!” Billy pipes up.
“I’m not good at science like you are!” you reply, sitting down in the cockpit of your Zord.
Trini laughs. “I don’t think a lot of people are good with science like Billy is.” She goes silent for a moment as she thinks. “Or a lot of things.”
“Come on, let’s race back to the command center!” Zack proposes, standing up to get back into his Zord’s cockpit. “Last one there is"—he pauses as he tries to think of a clever new twist on the saying, but eventually gives up—“a sitting duck!”
“How old are you? Five?” Kimberly jokes, but she follows suit, as do Billy and Trini.
Because you and Jason had stood up so quickly to get back into your Zords, you’re the first ones to bolt off, plesiosaur and tyrannosaurus rex kicking up dust in their wakes as you press on full speed to the command center.
“Hey! Cheaters!” Zack yells. The remaining four of them trail closely behind.
“You know, technically we didn’t agree on a countdown, so…”
“Thank you, Billy.”

Summary: Your boyfriend (Now ex boyfriend) cheated on you, so you want to the girls and told them (sort of). The boys saw the three of you crying and decided to leave (Not really).
You came into the base angry.
"I AM SO DONE WITH LIFE." You yelled.
"Whoa......what's up with you?" Shelby asked you as she looks up from her magazine.
"CHAD, CHAD IS WHAT'S UP WITH ME." You yelled once again.
"What-" Kendall asked.
You started crying and the girls realised what happend.
"Oh honey." Kendall said and walked over to you and so did Shelby.
"Just so you know I never liked him." Shelby said.
You were still crying and then Kendall and Shelby started crying. The guys stood there and slowing backed away.
"Was Y/N crying?" Tyler asked the boys.
"Yes!" Chase said.
"Was Kendall and Shelby crying too?" Riley asked.
"Yes and the only thing scarier then one girl crying is three girls crying." Chase replied to his other friend.
"What do you think happend?" Ivan asked.
"I don't know but whatever happend we definitely can't go in there." Chase said to them.
Keeper came and was about to go in but the boys stoped him by blocking the entrance.
"Chase, Tyler, Koda, Riley, Ivan care to explain why I can't go in?" Keeper asked them suspiciously.
"uhhh, uhhh, ummm." They boys said at the same time looking at each other and making weird faces.
"Lady Y/N, Lady Shelby and Lady Kendall are crying." Ivan blurted out.
"Dude!" The boys once again said in unison.
"Why?" Keeper asked.
"Don't know." Koda said. Koda hated seeing the girls sad.
"All we know is that we can't go in there." Chase says.
Keeper ignores the guys and goes in. They tried to stop him but instantly failed.
"Keeper." You, Kendall and Shelby said at the same time.
"Shelby, Kendall, my I speak with Y/N alone please?" Keeper asked the girls. Shelby and Kendall nodded and gave the you the 'Will you be okay' look. You nodded your head and they left the room.
"What's wrong?" Keeper asked you.
"Keeper you wouldn't understand." You say to him.
"Wouldn't I?" He asked and you chuckled a little and say,
"It's Chad."
"What about Chad?"
"He cheated on me."
"With who?"
Before you could answer Keepers question you heard someone yell. And by someone I mean Chase.
"HE DID WHAT?"
You knew that the guys would ask them why the three of you were crying. You heard the guys morph, they went to Chad and........okay you don't wanna know. But it was bad. After the boys came back Chase asked you something,
"Y/N, will go out on a date with me?"
They all knew you liked Chase and that Chase liked you so they all nodded the heads.
"Yes." You say to him and you kissed him.
You and Chase heard the gang say,
"Yyyyyyyyaaaaaayyyyy."

Many months had passed by since you were revealed to the public eye. The news had revealed that you lived in Amber Beach, California, but you hadn't really thought much about that. Your relationship with Phillip had only grown stronger since you were exposed. Many fans made fanpages about you and posted regular updates on your relationship. Phillip seemed a lot more confident when being out with you, even kissing you more in public. However, he was always cautious not to be too affectionate as he didn't want you to become uncomfortable due to your shy nature.
In recent days, there had been a paparazzi picture of the two of you walking in the park by the café whilst holding hands. The fanpages went crazy and it was uploaded on every single fanpage. In every repost, it would mention the location of where the two of you had been spotted. Nobody thought much of it except one person.
It was a quiet day in the café, meaning you didn't have to be working up in the café and were just chatting with Shelby, Riley, and Phillip in the base. You had your head rested on his shoulder until Tyler walked down into the base. He was still wearing his apron and was clearly still on his shift. "Hey, um, (Y/N)?" You nodded before he continued. "There's a guy asking for you upstairs, tall, brunette, pretty muscular. I'm pretty sure he's a cop." You furrowed your brows, racking your brain for someone you knew with that description. You were suspicious of who it might be but decided you'd go up. Phillip could tell you were slightly unnerved and decided to go with you.
As you got up to the café and, Tyler pointed out the man who had requested to see you. You gasped and ran over to the man. "Dad!" You shrieked and threw yourself into his arms. "(Y/N)!" The man said in response, tightly wrapping his arms around you. The team gasped. They had never met your stepdad before since the two of you lost contact very long ago.

Tyler had only met your stepdad once or twice, but your adopted dad had also gone missing whilst on a mission a few years after he had married your mom. Your mom was heartbroken after your dad had passed away, and your stepdad had disappeared, so I didn't marry again afterwards. Your stepdad was a role model to you and gladly took over the role of 'father' in your life. He never planned to replace your bio dad but rather be there as a father figure for you. Someone to be there for you as you navigated through your teen years. Except your time together was cut short. Shortly after you turned twelve, he had to go on a mission. Your stepdad had become a cop when he was twenty and regularly went on missions. It was pretty routine, so when he had to leave on a mission, you hugged him goodbye. That was the last you ever saw of him. He didn't come back. The cops told you that he had gone missing during the mission, and you were distraught. You had lost both of your father figures.

Now, six years later, he was back. You were overjoyed to be able to see your stepdad again. He kissed your hairline. "I missed you, pumpkin." You pushed your face into his shoulder. "I missed you too, dad." He couldn't help but smile at you still calling him dad. "How did you find me?" You asked, curious as to how he tracked you down. "Well, when I saw the news that you were dating the prince of Zandar, I began keeping up with all the fanpages. I saw the pictures of you in the café and you on a walk in the park the other day. That was enough for me to gather that you worked here and were still in Amber Beach. It was also the perfect time for me to be able to come visit you." You smiled, he had taken all that time to come see you after six years. He pulled back slightly from the hug, taking in your appearance. "God, you're so grown up." You laughed softly at this. The rangers had decided to keep working on their shifts and leave you and your stepdad to have some time alone.

You had a long day with your stepdad and knocked out in bed not long after. Whilst you were talking to your dad, you discovered he was also a ranger. You recommended to him that he talk to Kendall about it later on, and he did just that. After you had knocked out, he went down to the base to talk to Kendall about perhaps joining the team. The rest of the team was also in the base, just talking. After they had finished their talk, your dad had asked to speak with Tyler and Phillip. He took them outside and began to talk. "Listen, I can't even express how much I appreciate the two of you taking care of (Y/N). Tyler, even when you were kids, you always took such good care of her and still do. Phillip, I'm so glad that you are the one she chose. You make her so happy, and I can tell you really do love her. Thank you both. So much. Thank you for making my girl so happy and taking such good care of her. I can't wait to get to know the two of you better." Tyler and Phillip couldn't help but smile at his speech. He shook both of their hands before going back into the base.

You were on a walk with Phillip again, and you couldn't help but notice just how much he was smiling. You giggled lightly, "What's got you so happy?" He looked over at you, "Oh, it's nothing. You and your dad are just so alike."
"Well, what can I say? Like father, like daughter."

(A/N) I changed the plot slightly but hope you enjoy it!!

It was a peaceful, sunny day in Amber Beach. The dino café was closed for redecorating purposes, meaning the employees had a few days off. Ivan decided he would spend his free day on a long, therapeutic walk in the large forest by the dinsoaur musuem. It was an exceptionally large wood, so if he walked at a brisk pace, it would take him a couple of hours to go through the whole thing. As he explored the forest, he heard a voice. It didn't sound very far from him, so he decided to approach it, curious as to what the voice could be. As he got closer to the source, he could vaguely get a glimpse of what was making the sound. In a clearing, sat a gorgeous girl. Ivan watched her from the treeline. She sat on her knees, with a group of animals surrounding her. Ivan worried for a moment, concerned that the animals might be harming you. But with closer observation, he could see that you weren't being harmed at all. In fact, they all looked rather peaceful, and you were... singing? Your sweet voice sung to them, and Ivan would be lying if he were to say he didn't enjoy hearing you sing too. He smiled at the sound, wanting to approach. He took a step forward, trying to get a better view. As he stepped, his foot landed on a stray twig. It snapped under his heavy boots, alarming you of his presence. The pretty girl's eyes widened, turning to look at the spot she heard the sound from. To be fair to her, it did make sense to be disturbed by a strange man watching you from the treeline. Without wasting a moment, she sprung up onto her feet, grabbed her bag, and ran in the opposite direction. Ivan sighed with dismay, disappointed that he didn't get to meet the gorgeous woman with the most gorgeous voice he had heard in his life.

It had been a couple of days since someone had spotted you in the forest. Being a very shy and reclusive person, you ran away without a second thought. You were kicking yourself for that now. Maybe they just wanted to talk to you. You thought about it rather often. You only caught a small glimpse of the person who saw you; from what you saw, they looked rather handsome. Oh well, there wasn't really much you could do about it now anyway. On that day, you had finished all the books you had borrowed from your local library and decided it was time to return them and take home some more to read. So, you decided to walk to the library, expecting it to be a normal visit. Get to the library, return your books, have a small chat with the librarian, pick out your new books, and go home. Simple as that! Well, not today.

Coincidentally, on that same day, the rangers also decided to take a trip to the library. They all browsed the shelves, Ivan looking at a section dedicated to different hobbies with Riley. They both wanted to see what kind of swordsmanship books they had, but as they browsed, Ivan spotted a book about the gift of singing. It made him think back to you, and he struck up a conversation with Riley about his encounter. He was slightly disappointed that the two or you hadn't gotten to speak but hoped that maybe on another day, he'd be able to have a decent conversation with you. Unbeknownst to Ivan, as he described this encounter, you were on the other side of the shelf.

As your earbuds had died before you left your apartment, you had to wander around without them. Now that you think about it, it just might have been fate. You were browsing books about singing, hoping to improve on it. However, as you searched, you heard a voice on the other side. Not having anything else to listen to, you tuned in on their conversation. Oh my god. No way. It was the man who had been watching you from the treeline a few days back. He described the exact encounter at the exact same time at the exact same place. Wanting to know more about this stranger and having a free day, you decided you'd follow him around. Yes, it sounded creepy, and it might've been, but it increased your chances of getting to know him, so you might as well.

Ivan met up with the rest of his friends, and they began their walk back to the museum. You followed not too far behind them, curious as to where they were going. The redecorating hadn't yet been finished, but Kendall needed two employees to be tour guides and selected Shelby and Ivan. You followed the two of them back to the museum. You had never been in a museum and were incredibly intrigued by it. Crowds made you feel uncomfortable and nervous, so you avoided crowds or tour guides and decided to wander around by yourself instead of getting a tour guide. It was your first time in a museum, and you were incredibly interested. You pulled out your camera and took multiple pictures. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Ivan's group approaching their last section, the section you were in. You quickly left the museum before they could approach you. You hadn't noticed, but Ivan has actually spotted you in that section. He wanted to rush over and hopefully get to talk to you, but before he could, you left the museum. Once again, he felt disappointed but was hopeful that the two of you would cross paths once again.

It had been a few weeks since Ivan had last seen you, and the two of you hadn't bumped into each other since. You were too nervous to go back to the museum, so you usually just stayed at your apartment or went to a different section of the woods. Since the café had reopened, all the rangers were back at work once again, so Ivan couldn't roam the woods in search of you. It was business as usual until Ms. Morgan alerted them of alien bio signs in the woods. When she sent over the location, Ivan couldn't help but notice how close it was to the spot he first saw you in. His heart stopped as he pondered if the monsters were there to hurt you. This thought only made him want to get to the woods even faster. As they ran through the woods, they decided to morph in a thick section of the forest where nobody would see them. After morphing, they got to the section of the woods where the bio signs were. No way. In the clearing was a girl. But not just any girl, a ranger. She fought the monsters but was close to being outnumbered and overwhelmed. She seemed to be getting weaker, so the rangers jumped in and helped. As they fought, they noticed the absence of the girl. She appeared to be the crimson ranger. She had one of the few energems they didn't have their hands on yet. The rangers realised she was nowhere to be seen, Ivan scanned the clearing, spotting a red blur running towards the spot he had first seen you in. The rangers could deal with the monsters, so Ivan took off after hed.
He caught up to her, seeing the new ranger sat on her knees, removing her helmet. Ivan's eyes widened at the sight of you. You were the ranger they had just seen. Slowly approaching you, he removed his helmet. "Hello, milady, please dont run, I must talk to you." You whipped your head around fast enough to give you whiplash, eyes filled with nervousness and fear. The urge to flee consumed you, but you fought it. The realisation hit you; it was the same man who had seen you here last time and the same man you followed around the museum. He took another step closer, but you stayed put. As he got closer, you felt safer... it was unusual. Typically, the closer people were to you, the more uncomfortable you felt. But this time, it was different. His presence made you feel safe. He slowly came and sat beside you, eyes softened. From the corner of his eye, he could see a multitude of different types of wildlife proceed towards the two of you. Ivan couldn't help but notice how much more relaxed you seemed with the animals surrounding the two of you. You motioned for Ivan to continue. "I'm not sure if you recognise me, but I saw you here a few weeks ago." You nodded, signalling to him that you did in fact recognise him. "I also notice that you're a power ranger, like me. I know it seems daunting to be one but you've been selected for a reason." Your face seemed nervous at this, unsure if you were right for this. "I don't know; I'm not sure I'm made for this. I'm not strong or brave enough to do this." Your voice was soft and shaky, but adorable to Ivan. He barely knew you but was sure he had a crush on you. He noticed your shaky hands, hugging your knees. In fact, your whole body was shaking lightly. He slowly placed a hand atop of yours, silently reassuring you it was alright. Your eyes met his, seeming thankful for the gesture. "Please, join our team. I beg of you." Your thoughts raced through your head and before you could think straight, you spoke softly. "Okay. I'll join you." He smiled at you, his smile made you blush ever so slightly but it thankfully went unnoticed by Ivan.
Ever so gently, Ivan took you wrist and guided you back to the battle. This time, you were a lot braver and were willing to help out but usually stuck to Ivan's side. As the battle finished, the rangers took you back to the museum. On the walk back, you stuck to Ivan's side like glue. Ivan felt safe to you, comforting and kind. No matter what, you were almost always with Ivan. The rangers teased Ivan about it on the rare occasions the two of you were separated, certain that Ivan had a crush on you. He called it absurd but deep down, he knew that they were right.
After a couple of months, Ivan decided he'd ask you to be his girlfriend. It was Ivan's day off but you were working so he had time to go buy some things and plan out the day without you finding out. He went to some stores, bought your favourite type of flowers and other things that you liked. After work, he went back to the museum to ask you if you'd be interested in going on a picnic in the forest. You graciously accepted, having a deep love and adoration for the forest. The two of you began walking, enjoying a quiet conversation or a comfortable silence. As you got closer to the clearing the two of you met in. Pulling out a picnic blanket from your bag, you gently set it down on the grass.
Just behind you, Ivan was reaching under a raised rock to retrieve the flowers he had purchased. As you laid out all the food, Ivan was straightening out all of his clothes and holding the flowers. You turned around to ask him something before you softly gasped. Ivan stood there, with an adorable and bashful smile and wielding your favourite flowers. Before you could respond, he began a small speech. "(Y/N), for as long as I can remember, I've loved you. From the first second I saw you in this clearing, I knew you were the one for me. So, would you please do me the honour of being my girlfriend?" You smiled at him before softly replying "Of course, Ivan."

Ivan Of Zandar x Pregnant!Reader | Part One Part Three
Request by @smoiesaustine : Can you do a part 2 of “Ice Ice ranger?” The plot is that now Y/n got pregnant we are skipping the nasty part. Plot: A villain shows up and the rangers as usual go to fight the monster. Ivan insists that you stay at the museum but you still go not wanted to be some damsel in distress. The rangers arrive where the monster is and like during the middle of the fight all of a sudden Y/n collapses to the floor. Ivan protects y/n and manages to get Y/n to the museum. P.s this is the early times of pregnancy and the monsters didn’t know that you were pregnant

It had been very many years since you and Ivan began dating, and so much had happened. The two of you had gotten engaged the past spring but weren't yet planning a wedding. You were still Rangers, so thought it best to wait until evil was permanently gone to be wedded. Besides, you quite enjoyed the title of fiancée and weren't in any rush to be married. All was well in your relationship, it being incredibly slow and steady but in the best way possible.
That was until a few weeks ago.
Everything was still perfect between the two of you, but you began feeling nauseous very frequently. Ivan was highly concerned about this as neither of you had any clue as to what could be causing your illness. You confided in Shelby about your worries and fear of possibly being sick. As you described your symptoms to the girl, her eyes widened with every word you spoke. You began to get more concerned due to her reaction. Nervous to ask, you asked her what she thought was wrong. She immediately looked rather uncomfortable before asking the question.
"Um.. (Y/N), have you been missing your period, too?" You took a moment to think and realised that you had. Oh my god. It clicked in your head as she finished her question. You were most likely pregnant. Your jaw dropped, and you began to panic. Shelby grabbed you by the arms and began to reassure you it was okay. You two went on break and she took you to the store. She purchased a pregnancy test for you to take, lo and behold, you were infact pregnant. Shelby helped you through the shock of the discovery and encouraged you to tell Ivan and the other rangers. She also ensured you stopped training so hard and tried putting you out of harms way as often as possible. Eventually, you had to tell Ivan as you couldn't just not tell him. Shelby sat there with you and helped you plan out how you would tell him.

You decided you would go on a night walk with him, going to the same park as where you two had first realised your love for one another. You sat down on the very same bench and told him you must confess something. He nodded at you, gesturing for you to elaborate. You took a deep breath and just spat it out.
"OkaysotheotherdayIwastalkingtoShelbyanditturnsoutthatimpregnant."
You said it all with one breath, and Ivan took a moment to process it all. "You're - You're... pregnant..?" You nodded quickly, looking to the side with nervousness blossoming within you. Ivan suddenly leapt up from his spot on the bench, excitedly shouting about how he was going to be a father. He fell to his knees in front of you, caressing the tiny bump that was slowly growing. He leaned up and passionately kissed you, overjoyed at the news and excited to be a father.

A few months had passed, you barely being in the 2nd trimester of your pregnancy. All the rangers had found out about it and were ecstatic for there to be a mini (Y/N) or Ivan running around. It also sparked a lot of questions about if the child would inherit your ice powers. For the time being, you were so rarely allowed to help out in battles. Usually, you were banished to the base to help remotely. It was only rarely that you were able to fight. You enjoyed getting to fight, so tried to at every opportunity. You weren't very far along in your pregnancy anyway, so it'd be fine anyway! Well, the other rangers didn't agree with your thought process, so always tried to shove you to the side and out of danger.

Today was one of the occasions that you managed to make your way onto the battlefield. Alien bio signs had been detected and the rangers began making their way out of the base. As you grabbed your energem, Ivan stopped you.
"Milady, where on earth are you going?" He said, holding out a hand to stop you from going any further. You scoffed, "Same place that you're going." He shook his head and told you that you had to stay at the base. As you stood there, he left the base with the rest of the rangers. You waited for a minute or two before leaving, too, running towards the site where the bio signs had been detected. As the fight was barely starting, it didn't take long for the rangers to spot you. Ivan saw you and gasped, making sure the monster he was battling was covered so he could go over to you. As Riley took over the monster that Ivan was battling, Ivan ran over to you and dragged you into the treeline where you couldn't be seen or attacked. You grumbled as he concealed you both behind a tree.
"My love, this is no place for a lady who is with child!" He said, obviously unnerved at the idea of you being in harms way and just wanting you at the base, safe. As much as you reassured him that you were fine, he was frantically trying to send you back to the base. Being stubborn, you refused. From the corner of your eye, you could see a shot being blasted at the two of you. Hastily, you used your ice powers as a shield. As it deflected the blast, you smugly turned to your fiancé. "See! I'm agile as ever!" He huffed, saying that the two of you would discuss this when you got back to the base and encouraged you to just stay out of the thick of the battle.
As the battle progressed, you felt stronger than ever. Your hits were perfect, and your kicks were even better. You were doing better than ever! That was until you began feeling incredibly fatigued. Attempting to push through it only made it far worse. The tiredness was getting stronger and stronger. You could barely ever walk, let alone punch or kick. The exhaustion took over your body, causing you to collapse with a thud. Everything went black.

Ivan and the rest of the rangers heard the thud and looked over. His eyes widened with panic as he saw you on the floor, collapsed with your eyes shut. He ran over to you, scooping you into his arms and carrying you away from the battle as fast as he could. He got a decent distance away before deciding to check up on you. He laid you atop a smooth stone in the woods. You hadn't awoken, but your pulse was still strong, and you were still breathing. He sighed in relief at this, but his eyes widened when he thought about the baby. What if it was hurt? He unzipped the front of your ranger suit, getting a look at your stomach. Luckily, there weren't any signs of injury there, maybe a small scratch here and there, but there were no serious signs of anything. He zipped it back up and analysed your face. He frowned pitifully as he noticed the bruising beginning to form on your face. Ivan demorphed and helped you out of your ranger suit and into your regular clothes. He kissed you gently on the forehead before picking you back up to take you to the museum.

Your eyes slowly fluttered open, as you adjusted to the light. Ivan was sat beside you, holding your hand. The rangers weren't there but you saw their energems, meaning they were upstairs in the café. Miss Morgan had allowed Ivan to stay beside you until you woke up, as he was your fiancé and the father of your child. She was also gone, and it was quiet in the base. "I-Ivan...?" You murmured with a raspy voice. Hearing your voice, he snapped out of his thoughts. His face softened when he noticed the pained and confused expression upon your features. Ivan leaned closer to you and kissed your nose softly before beginning to explain what had happened. You had worn yourself out so quickly that you had passed out. Luckily, you only had some minor bruising on your face and arms, but the baby was okay. You remained silent for a few moments before you began to whisper. "I'm s-sorry. I should've listened." The confusion from waking up caused you to stutter and have a rasp. Ivan found it adorable and told you it was okay, and it was his fault. "But, milady, please vow to never ever do anything like that ever again. Promise me?" You nodded softly, leaning into his chest as he softly caressed your baby bump.
"I promise, my love."
