Mini-Lizzy (884 words)
Liam pouted his way up the stairs, a scowl tugging on his brows as he poked the key at the front door. Of course it didn’t hit the target on the first try, so Liam huffed, frowning harder when he had to actually make the effort to enter the flat.
The keys made a too-loud noise when they finally landed into the small bowl at their entryway, and the door slammed shut behind him.
Liam scowled. The laces of his left shoe had come undone, now soggy and brown where they had been crisp and white before.
If his huffy sigh was accompanied by a childish growl, well. No one had to know.
“Why we so sour today, baby-Lime?” Isac asked, peeking out from the kitchen.
Well, no one except Isac, apparently…
When Liam didn’t manage to hide the wrinkle that had been making a home in between his brows, Isac crooned. He abandoned whatever it was that he’d been doing, and made his way to Liam where he was still stuck standing all dumb by the front door.
“One of those days, huh?” Isac asked when he got close, arms circling behind Liam’s neck, body swaying up as he rose to stand on his tiptoes. It didn’t really do much to make up for their height difference, but at this point Liam’s own body had learned how to mould around Isac’s.
It was pretty much automatic, how he leaned down and curled around the tiny imp. Like always, he pulled Isac tight against his front, breathing in his scent until his alpha was content with the knowledge that Isac was safely coddled in his arms.
Liam exhaled a grumble into the dip of Isac’s shoulder, nose rubbing against his scent gland.
“I overslept…” Liam muttered, eyes squeezing shut, and a telling shiver running up his spine when Isac kneaded into the tight muscles of his nape with merciless fingertips.
“Really? You?” Isac asked, voice soft but perked up in genuine curiosity. His scent was doing something sweet and soothing, and Liam chuffed against his shoulder, leaning into the freely offered comfort. “But you were already gone by the time I got up?”
Liam wasn’t the type to oversleep, he liked to get up early for his morning runs, liked to have his breakfast before the sun was even fully up. It was rare that he’d sleep through any alarm, but when it did happen…
“‘s that why we’re cranky today?” Isac teased gently when Liam just grunted, snuffling against the side of Isac’s throat, pressing the bridge of his nose under his jaw. “Were you proper late?”
“Michaels made me run laps…” Liam whined quietly, pout back on his lips, even as Isac tilted his head to offer him more room for scenting. “And... I forgot my phone...”
“Yeah, we noticed,” Isac said, lifting one hand to knot his fingers into Liam’s waves. “Kitty’s gonna keep you pinned all night for that, just so you know. He wasn’t too happy about it, waiting for a response for a couple of hours only to realise there wouldn’t be one.”
Liam whined again, shoulders pulling in some more, his forehead landing heavily on Isac’s bony shoulder.
“I know. Poor baby,” Isac chuckled, giving Liam’s hair a couple of good tugs. It was making Liam feel a little weak in the knees. “But you know how his A gets with those herding instincts. He’s not mad, just worried when we couldn’t get a hold of you.”
“Not m’fault…” Liam mumbled, pathetic and whiny and all droopy. “‘m tired. And sleepy. And coach was mean. Want cuddles.” Liam tightened his hold on Isac, and grumpily tilted his head to listen into the flat even though he already knew it was just them. “Where’s Kit, anyway?”
“Getting something from work, and then picking Natty up from the library,” Isac said. He then shook his head, laughing, “Y’two are honestly so weird. You want him to pin you, don’t you?”
Liam whimpered dramatically through his nose, leaning back and squeezing Isac until his feet left the ground. They wrapped around Liam’s waist instead. “Cuddles…”
“Awh, such a needy pup,” Isac cooed, mirth obvious in his voice. Both of his hands found their way into Liam’s hair, giving him pigtails on either side of his head, fistfuls of blond waves sticking out of his small fists. Liam cupped his own hands under Isac’s thighs and bum, pouting up at him with sad eyes, pleading. “Whatever should we do about this?”
“Will you take a nap with me?” Liam asked, hopeful, yet not very optimistic. Kit and Nathan were usually the ones to be down for some sleepy daytime cuddles, if they weren’t already passed out in the first place, but Isac… Well. It was always worth asking. “Just until…”
“Until alpha comes home and babies you, too?”
“Yeah!” Liam huffed, trying to sound cranky and demanding through his pout. The corners of his mouth kept tugging up. “And Nat.”
“And Nat, yes,” Isac repeated mock-seriously, soft laughter curled right behind his words. His freckles danced a little as he smiled down at Liam, grey eyes squinting slightly. “Kiss hello, first? Then I could maybe be talked into a quick na– mph!”
Liam pressed his lips against Isac’s, dimples carving in.

Yuzuha's tapping on her brother's arm again. Tap tap. Big sister needs your attention Hakkai.
There's a sound of acknowledgement. His phone was now rightfully in his possession again, but embarrassment still nicked at him — it was one thing for Yuzuha to be aware of his wallpaper, it was another thing for Takemitchy to be aware of it! Purposefully, the younger of the two walked at a brisk pace, leaving his sister behind in the dirt; were his lips slightly puckered? Maybe, but Hakkai would never portray it as a pout.
“Mmh.”
Evidently, Yuzuha had caught onto that little trick. Strolling grumpily along, Hakkai again sped his pace, nose directed toward the skies above, pointedly avoiding eye contact. He would break the moment Yuzuha looked at him, he knew it, but for now? He was a little bit crabby.
“... I didn't always have Taka-chan as my wallpaper...”
