Video of the remains of pages of the Bible Vladislav burnt on the eve of the attack in front of his house
Deuteronomy 31:12 was found highlighted in pen:
“Gather together the people, husbands, wives and children and your strangers who are in your gates, so that they listen, and so that they learn and fear the Lord your God, and tried to do all the words of His law.”
Vlad's mother, Galina Roslyakova, was a devotee to the Jehova's Witness sect for more than 20 years.
According to a former member who was Vlad's age, Yuri M:
"I was not allowed to celebrate any holidays, which is why other children looked at me askance. Friends were out of the question. My parents forbade me to have close contact with the kids from the yard and with my classmates. It was allowed to be friends only with the children of the same sectarians. At home, many ordinary things were considered sins. It was impossible to watch scenes of an innocent kiss on TV - my parents immediately switched the program or kicked me out of the room. It was forbidden to accept birthday gifts, celebrate holidays, and I was not allowed to go to school events. There were many such prohibitions, which contributed to my detachment from people, indifference and coldness in communication. Therefore, when I read about Roslyakov, I immediately imagined myself. It is not surprising that the shooter could not find a common language with his peers."
"Most likely, he burned it because he hated the Witnesses organization."

ok so this one's for everyone who's been in the hermitcraft fandom since before season 7, but do y'all remember when architechs was THE ot3? polyships were pretty rare in the hermitshipping community at the time (because hermitshipping in itself was less common), but every now and again people would post about polytechs. those were truly the days.

*slides into your ask box* hey stranger Okay so hear me out... S7 Polytechs. Mumbo and Iskall are the Plant Boyfriends, Mumbo has his living base and Iskall has his omega base tree and Grian has...the blackest thumb. He cannot keep plants alive. But he knows that it's important to his boys so he Tries so hard. Maybe he's trying to grow a little plant or nurture a flower or something, maybe he wants to Help with their bases or be generally useful and feels left out. I just. what if soft reassurances and support and genuine excitement when his little seedling puts out green leaves for the first time
I need that like. little sipping guy emote because that is Exactly how I’m reacting to this. anyway, onwards with drabble!
reminder that reblogs do more than likes <3
—————————
“Grian, you home mate?”
“Griaaaan!”
There’s two sets of footsteps echoing through the grand hall of the avian’s mansion as Mumbo and Iskall enter. They both glance at the maps on the walls of the entrance with interest.
“Uh… Grian isn’t home right now!”
Mumbo and Iskall share a look.
They walk further into the manor before finding their boyfriend standing right in the middle of his storage room. His back is turned to them, giving them both a lovely view of his tricolor wings. Except those wings are folded tight to his back, and they’ve both spent long enough around Grian to recognize when the avian is distressed.
“Grian?” Mumbo questions as the two of them approach.
Grian’s wings flare out, feathers ruffling as he jumps. In a flash he’s hiding something behind his back and turning to face his partners. “Heyyy, fancy seeing you both here!” he chirps, false cheer in his voice. “What a surprise!”
“I sent you a message that we were coming,” Iskall answers, looking at him as he taps the communicator on his wrist with furrowed brows. “You good dude?”
“Me? I’m fine! Perfectly fine!” Grian’s arms are still behind his back, but his smile doesn’t light up his face. His eyes seem disappointed and sad.
Noticing this, Mumbo frowns lightly. “We ah… well, we noticed you’ve not been around lately and wanted to check up on you.” He looks at the arms clasped behind Grian’s back and winces, “That doesn’t seem comfortable for your wings, dove.”
At his words Grian only tightens his arms, taking a step back from them both. “They’re fine!” he rushes out. “But uh, I’m all good. Lotsa mansion to build up, tons of backs to ignore, you know how it goes!” Grian chuckles. “Thanks for checking in but I’m fine, no need to worry about this pesky bird.”
“Grian,” Iskall tries, clearly not believing him. “What do you have behind your back?”
Grian stiffens, “Nothing.”
Iskall squints, “Grian.”
The two of them enter a short staring contest, neither of them quite willing to back down. They’re both rather stubborn in that regard, equally so.
Mumbo watches on for a few minutes before deciding to step in. “Gri, we know there’s something wrong,” he says gently, forcibly ending the staring contest. Grian breaks eye contact with Iskall to meet Mumbo’s gaze. “You’ve been avoiding us love. We just want to figure out what’s going on in that head of your’s.” There’s something pleading in his eyes, and it makes Grian crack. It always does.
Grian’s shoulders slump as he gives in. He avoids eye contact with the two of them as he slowly moves his arms out in front of him, holding whatever he was hiding out to them.
It’s a pot.
Mumbo and Iskall peer at it curiously, wearing matching expressions on their faces.
The pot is full of dirt, and within it is a flower. Except the flower is wilted and dying. Grian’s face burns with embarrassment as he holds the pot in his hands.
“It’s… a flower?” Mumbo blinks.
“A wilted one,” Iskall comments. “What’re you doing with a dead flower of all things?”
Grian’s wings droop. “I wanted to try and grow it… since plants seem to be your things this season. I was thinking I could plant some around your bases, help out in some way,” he chuckles weakly, void of any humor, “forgot that I’ve a terrible case of black thumb.” He frowns with frustration, something else clouding his expression.
Mumbo makes a confused noise, “But you’re always helpful, Gri. You’ve helped us both out with our bases quite a bit!”
Iskall seems to pick up on whatever Mumbo misses, for they frown and reach out to Grian, holding his face with their hand. “What’s actually wrong, sweetheart?” his voice is low, a soft but caring murmur. “Your terrible plant skills aside, of course. Normally you wouldn’t get this upset over a little failed planting. You’d just get more determined to be good at it.”
Their words make Grian bite the inside of his cheek, his fingers clenching around the clay pot. “Plants are so important to both of you and I’m trying so hard but I can’t. I can’t connect to either of you on this. Seeing you both with your bases and plants and knowing how important it is… feels isolating, like I don’t fit in or I’ve been left out.” He gestures to the pot in his hands, “So I thought I’d give it a shot. But I… can’t be useful like this.”
Mumbo’s face softens as he takes a step toward him and gently takes the pot from his hands. He sets it down somewhere before pulling both Grian and Iskall into a hug. “You’re always useful, Grian,” Mumbo says softly, gently petting at the space between his wings. “And you’re far more important, love.”
“So what if you’re useful?” Iskall huffs, hugging Grian close to his body. They look at him, eyes loving and determined all at once, “Nobody said you have to be useful for us to love you. It’s the thought that counts after all.” He winks, pressing a kiss to Grian’s nose. The avian’s face scrunches up at the kiss, but he melts.
“And… if you want to, we could always teach you,” Mumbo sweetly offers to him. “Only if you’d like, of course! I mean, I know planting hasn’t gone well a-and it’s probably a sore spot since you’ve just told us it’s what’s been bothering you but—”
“Mumbo,” Iskall interrupts, an amused smile dancing along their lips.
The man deflates, “Gosh I’ve just gone on and rambled again, huh?”
Grian and Iskall look at him before bursting into giggles, the sound full of love and affection. Grian gives Mumbo a small smile before tugging him down into a little kiss, one soft and full of gratitude. “I’d like that,” he murmurs against his lips before pulling away.
Mumbo beams at him, excited.
“No kiss for me?” Iskall says, offended. “I always knew Mumbo was the favorite,” he teases playfully, hugging.
With a fond roll of his eyes, Grian grabs Iskall by the strings of their hoodie, nudging them close. “You’re my favorite too, you silly man.” He grins before kissing Iskall’s lips as well.
The taller hums, pleased with the action as he fully squishes Grian against him. And when they pull apart, Iskall turns to Mumbo, “We can’t leave out our favorite freakishly tall boy!” Mumbo looks caught off guard before he’s pulled into a kiss by Iskall, Grian leaning against the two of them and circling them with his wings.
He holds them tight. “….I love you two,” he says, voice muffled by Mumbo’s suit jacket.
There’s a hand in his hair, and Grian can feel the gloves against his strands. “I love you both as well.”
A hand returns to petting Grian’s back. “I love you.”

(poly architechs cause I miss season 6)
Look, who told Iskall their current design (kindly made by Mumbo) is Mumbo's type to a T isn't important.
What IS important, is that they're using it to tease Mumbo.
… it was probably Grian, ok, but to be fair, watching Mumbo squirm every time Iskall offhandedly flirts with him is the most entertaining part of their meetings, especially when he gets to join in
What Grian is realising it's that he needs to make more suits for Iskall to wear. For no reason! No reason at all. Just, he can't let Mumbo have all the fun dressing Iskall up, right? No other reason at all.
(Turns out, he doesn't even need to prompt Iskall for him to put on a Dorothy dress...)

For roundabout reasons I rewatched 2001: A Space Odyssey today and...
I don't get how people can call this the ''best'' sci-fi movie of all time. Influential, certainly. Ground-breaking, without doubt. But ''good''?
I know this might be an unpopular opinion, but the pacing is just excruciating. The first and last acts are incomprehensible, even if you've just read the book. HAL 9000 is truly the only good thing about the film.

[I am still catching up from my attempt to get captain sparklez through lmaoooo] Hey - Hey @mochiwrites for voting w me a few days ago - some polytechs!!!
---
Iskall crowded into Grian’s space a little bit more, narrowing their eyes. Grian’s nuisance of a grin was barely contained on his face as his wings spread out wide, framing him and Iskall in a red, blue, green, and yellow color scheme. “Looking for something?” Grian asked, tilting his head slightly at Iskall’s less-than-pleased expression.
“Did you purposefully sabotage that last vault run?” The bearded person whispered, leaning in a little bit closer. The bionic eye couldn’t narrow, but Grian swore it did anyway.
His grin grew ever wider, and he leaned so that his face was a mere few inches from Iskall’s. “Now why would I ever do that, love of my life?” he asked, his voice teasing.
“You do love to see me fail, I swear,” Iskall said, shaking their head and thumping Grian’s nose. This was obviously not what the avian wanted as he made a put out noise and crossed his arms as Iskall leaned back.
“What’re the two of you doing?” came another voice, Mumbo’s, as he walked into the room to dump a broken piece of Iskall’s gear into the corner of other things he needed to fix. Grian tilted his head slightly to see it from behind Iskall and snorted a bit.
“It’s like you snapped it over your knee,” he said.
“More like I snapped it with my body when I fell on top of it because someone told me there wasn’t a redstone trap,” Iskall replied, squinting once again at Grian. Grian just giggled and uncrossed his legs before climbing off the table. His pout returned full force when Iskall was quick to give Mumbo a peck on the cheek before they started removing their armor and other tools.
“Grian looks like a soaked duckling,” Mumbo said with a little laugh, walking over to his workstation where a multitude of redstone components and Iskall’s other broken gear lay spread out for him to work on. He reached over and kissed Grian’s hand as a bit of a soothe.
“Iskall won’t kiss me!” Grian threw his hands up in the air with such force he nearly clocked Mumbo in the face.
“He purposefully sent me into a redstone trap when I was doing very well in a vault, thank you very much.” Iskall rolled their eyes, but they seemed to come to an impasse because they walked over and gave Grian a kiss on the cheek. That perked Grian right up and caused him to look very pleased with himself.
Mumbo laughed and leaned back in his chair to look at both of them. “So, the usual antics, I see?” he asked.
“What else am I supposed to do. Looking at a map for days on end is boring and I wanted Iskall to come home,” Grian said, worming his way into Iskall’s arms to look up at them with his pleased grin still plastered on his face.
“Well I can’t argue with that logic,” Mumbo said, waving a screwdriver in the air before turning back to his work.
Iskall scoffed and went to say more, but Grian decided to steal away the kiss he’d been so desperately waiting for and that shut the other right up.

OK WAIT here's a ITNL chapter 14 section that's not really spoilers. just a sweet lil section
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
after this is where it's more Spoilers. but for now. HERE U go. happy birthday vash & also Uhhhh @ ITNL readers I PROMISE i am working on the chapter. things r just hard lol
#speculation nation#itnl shit#spoilers bc of uhh. Conversation. i wanna keep the conversation a secret for now lol#not bad spoilers it's just better digested as a whole probably#ANYWAYS heres some more vash & kaite bro time. god im gonna miss kaite when we gotta say goodbye to him#but he's still here for now and he gets to watch vash tinker with his (very internally fried) arm#before and after this section is vash inspecting the damages & thinking of what he can do to try to fix it#which i do have a lot written. but im gonna be going thru it for accuracy & also keeping in mind the thing from earlier#the possibility that average operational power of his arm comes from vash himself rather than extra batteries#this is with the assumption that a (relatively) small output of electricity is not smth that would fuck with his lifespan#just a normal expenditure of energy. like moving his flesh muscles. just a constant lil stream of electricity that he gets from eating & w/#no need to dip into his life reserves for it. bc if he did that would get impractical.#idk im going to think about it more. i really dont Need to figure out how his arm works#but listen. ive built a robot before. im in polytech. i wanna think about wtf his arm actually Is#even if this is coming in the context of all the internal wires being blown & a bunch of shit straight up Melted#his arm is... very very blown... he's gonna be going one-arm for a While still lmao. oh well#i think it's a good thing to remember that he is in fact physically disabled. he can make up for it Especially in a fight#but it still will inconvenience him in a lot of ways. cool biotech arm is cool but also it's nice to remember that he Is physically disable#and so i am embracing it. he's tinkering with his arm in his free time but if he has to spend weeks (or months) w/o his prosthetic#well that's just the reality he's gotta live#anywyas. Here u go. snippet. that's a few hundred words so idk if this counts as a snippet but im calling it a snippet. Here You Go

Why is Spun Polyester Yarn the Preferred Choice for Textile Industry in India?
In the intricate tapestry of the textile industry in India, one thread stands out as the preferred choice for manufacturers seeking durability, versatility, and quality: Spun polyester yarn. As we unravel the reasons behind its dominance, we discover why producers, such as SD Polytech, a leading yarn manufacturer Delhi, continue to play a pivotal role in this fabric of success.
Exceptional Strength and Durability
Spun polyester yarn is renowned for its remarkable strength and durability. In the demanding landscape of the textile industry, where fabrics endure constant stress and strain, this yarn emerges as a reliable choice. Garments and textiles crafted with it exhibit superior resistance to wear and tear, ensuring longevity and customer satisfaction.
Versatility in Applications
Spun polyester yarn producers in India cater to the diverse needs of the textile industry. From fashion apparel to industrial fabrics, this yarn seamlessly integrates into various applications. Its versatility makes it an ideal choice for a wide range of products, allowing manufacturers to explore creative avenues without compromising on performance.
Color Retention and Vibrancy
The vibrancy of colors is a hallmark of quality textiles. Spun polyester yarn excels in color retention, ensuring that fabrics maintain their original brilliance even after multiple washes. This characteristic is crucial for the fashion industry in India, where vibrant and long-lasting colors are synonymous with the cultural richness embedded in textiles.
Tumblr media
Resistance to Wrinkles and Shrinkage
In a country with diverse climates like India, resistance to wrinkles and shrinkage is paramount. Spun polyester yarn provides textiles with excellent shape retention, making it well-suited for garments that need to withstand varying environmental conditions. This resistance enhances the overall appearance and wearability of the final product.
Cost-Effective Manufacturing
Efficiency and cost-effectiveness are key considerations for textile manufacturers. Spun polyester yarn producers in India like SD Polytech, align with these priorities. Its availability in bulk quantities and the ability to integrate seamlessly into modern manufacturing processes contribute to streamlined production, minimizing costs without compromising on quality.
Environmental Sustainability
As environmental consciousness grows, Spun Polyester Yarn's eco-friendly attributes become increasingly significant. Its production process consumes less water compared to natural fibers, and its durability reduces the frequency of replacements, contributing to a more sustainable and eco-conscious textile industry.
Conclusion
In essence, the prevalence of Spun Polyester Yarn in the textile industry in India can be attributed to its exceptional strength, versatility, color retention, resistance to wrinkles, and cost-effective manufacturing. SD Polytech and other spun polyester yarn producers in India play a crucial role in weaving success for textile manufacturers, providing them with a thread of excellence that strengthens the fabric of India's rich textile heritage.

It would be cool to be able to do some kind of wood working course where you only use hand tools. Also it would include learning the proper care of tools. And how to care for the finished item long-term would be useful too.
If you hate certain parts you can sub in a power tool later, no problem, do whatever you want, but I think it would be cool to learn this way to start with.
There aren't any wood working courses here of any type anymore ever since the government stopped subsidising community evening courses, so I guess fantasising over the specifics is a bit pointless.
Its weird that there's certain skills that you can only really learn at school, if you go to the right school, or from friends/family. (or on your own, the slowest method)

Hello mochimoch my favourite mochicat. A polytechs prompt for you: the three of them going on a long distance date while Mumbo is travelling off server and Iskall is doing on Vault Hunters
ueueueue ty void, my favorite void 🥺
reminder that reblogs do more than likes <3
——————————
“Scar is doing what?!”
Iskall’s laugh comes through Grian’s communicator a bit choppy, too echoey and a bit robotic. The call does little in favor of the laugh, but Grian has heard it so much that the sound is forever ingrained in his ears. He can hear it quite clearly.
“He’s certainly more of a menace than a superhero,” Grian chuckles himself, shaking his head. “I think we’re all living in fear of being snipped from behind.”
“Gosh,” Mumbo sighs with a little amused huff, shaking his head. “I guess we got off server at the right time then.” He’s moving something around on camera, hands just out of frame. His sleeves are rolled up, and Grian can see bits of redstone dust on his shirt and face.
“Come on Mumbo,” Iskall says, “knowing your luck Scar’ll keep this up until you get back.” There’s something teasing in his voice, and it makes Grian smile softly, fond.
“I hate that you’re right,” Mumbo grumbles.
“How’s your Vaulting going, Iskall?” Grian inquires, looking at his camera.
With the way the camera is set up, Grian and Mumbo have a good view of the other’s storage set up. They’ve been rummaging through a bunch of their chests for a good portion of the call, crafting things. There’s some kind of altar set up that he’s been setting items down on.
“Oh, just great! Omega success!” Iskall answers, fiddling around with something in his hands. “Haven’t died once.”
There’s something about their tone that makes Grian and Mumbo share a look through the screen. “You totally did, didn’t you?” Grian questions.
“They definitely did.” Mumbo nods sagely in agreement.
“I— gah! Menaces, the two of you,” Iskall grumbles, making them both laugh. Iskall joins in a second later, and warm laughter echoes in the room of Mumbo’s vault. It almost sounds like they’re here with him.
Yearning burns in Grian’s chest as he looks at his partners, his smile softening at the edges. He’s wearing one of Iskall’s green hoodies over his jumper, and each time he breathes in he gets a soft whiff of spruce. Except the smell is beginning to fade. He watches both of them, and he aches.
“Everything alright over there, Gri?” Mumbo asks, looking at him. His camera is mostly clear, allowing Grian to clearly see the concerned look in his eyes.
“Huh?” Grian looks at him. “I’m fine.”
Iskall looks at him with a small frown. “You look like you’re seconds away from crying,” he pauses, “you’re also wearing my hoodie again, Birdie.”
Grian pauses, realizing very easily that he’s been caught. “I’m fine, really,” he says, because he is. He then hesitates, glancing around Mumbo’s unfinished vault. He sighs, wings drooping behind him slightly.
Mumbo had been the first to go off server, saying he needed to rediscover his spark. Grian could see the break was something he needed, and was the first to encourage him to take said break. Iskall was right behind him, and Grian thought he’d be just fine with Iskall around, that it’d make missing Mumbo easier.
But then Iskall had taken a break as well, and Grian was alone. They have their ways of staying in touch, in keeping each other in the loop and making sure they all know how loved they are. If Grian is being honest though, it isn’t the same as being able to fly to Mumbo or Iskall’s bases and flop into their arms. It isn’t the same as being in the same room as they are and laughing along, leaning against them when he can’t hold himself up.
His flock feels incomplete.
“I miss you both,” he admits, fidgeting with his hands.
“Oh Gri,” Mumbo murmurs, “I miss you too.”
Iskall nods, “It’s weird being able to do redstone without worrying about a pesky bird dropping a potato in there.”
“Hey!” Grian squawks, “I didn’t know it’d do that!”
Warm laughter spills from Iskall as they grin at Grian, “And I’ll never let you live it down.” Their grin softens at the edges as their voice goes a bit softer, “I miss you both very much.”
Just hearing them say that makes his chest swell, and rather than diving any further into his emotions, Grian eyes them both, “I’m going to cover both of your bases in chickens. For a welcome home present.”
Mumbo goes pale and mutters something about leaving Grian unsupervised while Iskall laughs. But the important thing is Grian sees his feathers on both their persons (an earring in Mumbo’s ear, a bracelet around Iskall’s wrist), and he melts.
His flock has parts of him, too.
