Picking back up the Polin 146 Aesthetic project this prompt was picked by @kathani-bridgerton

#37: Damaged lead finds happily ever after

Something happened during his travels that Colin Bridgerton can never speak about, after being kidnapped by pirates and forced to watch as they killed a whole crew of innocent people, he lives with the guilt of knowing he was only rescued because Anthony paid the ransom. Determined to go back to the sea and hunt down the pirates that tortured him. He’s stopped only by his sister’s friend, kind, smart and perceptive Penelope Featherington who believes he’s not that kind of man. His sweet, beautiful Pen, who doesn’t expect him to be the same charming fop he used to be, but rather wants him to find his passion for life again and remain true to himself. Colin truly believes he’s healing, until he follows Pen to one of the most dangerous parts of London and discovers that she is Lady Whistledown, and has been using her column to quiet down the rumours about him, angry and betrayed, Colin confronts Penelope, demanding answers, but she proves to be a difficult opponent, insisting till the end that the power of her column is the only way she can protect him. It is up to Colin to convince Penelope that he doesn’t want her to put herself in danger, anymore than she wants him to return to the sea to seek revenge, because he loves her and can’t imagine his life if something happened to her. Penelope on the other hand, believes Colin is acting on overprotective instinct alone and that he’s being stubborn only because she’s been a supportive friend since he was rescued…That until a persistent Colin decides to declare his love for her in front of all the ton (and effectively traps the slippery Lady Whistledown with a marriage proposal she can’t turn down)

to the anon who asked which were my favorites, for the 2022 aus, its really hard to pick, I absolutely adored writing my Twisted Fairytales Bridgerton au and one of these days a will totally write a full fic about it, but also the Star Wars au and the Mafia au were so much fun!! I loved writing those. The reincarnation verse was also so good, and arghh I should have expanded on the Criminal minds au.

Long Story short, it's really hard to pick which was my favorite au to write in 2022, but the ones I listed above always make me grin like a maniac, even when I'm busy and sleep deprived.

I love jrock and Keina Suda has such a unique style and voice. It was so nice hearing the song at the end of each episode. Plus it was such a great choice for the show with an upbeat first impression but the chaotic sounds of rock and Keina Suda's emotional almost crying voice. It works so well for the themes and tone of the show.

A beautiful song for a beautiful show! When I finished watching, I listened to the song over the next week whenever I wanted to recapture the feelings, emotion, and affect of the show. And it's a beautiful song in it's own right!

3. Tulanan Narasetapisarn-หรูเหอ 如何 (Skyline)-I Told Sunset About You

ITSAY is a stunning show and skyline fits so beautifully giving us a strong aesthetic perspective from moment one. I love every version including both Bilkin and PP Krit's, but I go with Tulanan's because it sets up the show so well as a full artistic piece.

4. Moonlight Chicken Cast-The Moon Represents My Heart-Moonlight Chicken

Once again a song that beautifully sets up the tone and artistic perspective of the show. I loved it even more after learning about the song's cultural significance in the chinese diaspora and as a queer love song. If you get a chance go read through some of the many youtube comments, so many different stories about the songs presence and meaning in people's lives. Maybe a month back I was in a nearby city and got to hear a busker perform it on the erhu.

5. HIROBA featuring Ōtsuka Ai-ふたたび (Futatabi)-The End of the World, With You

So pretty, so melancholic and a fantastic ending song for the show.

Okay and a special shout out to Tilly Birds and Jeff Satur who have eaten up a lot of my music listening time since QLs introduced me to them *weeps*
