My Haul from Yeti Gaming Birmingham, Alabama September 6, 2022

In addition to the Leafeon V-Star Collector’s Box in my previous post, I found all this at Yeti Gaming in St. Louis. (The two plushies on the left in the group picture are Ari’s.) They had such a huge selection of good quality Pokemon plushies, it was hard to decide on just two (they were selling them for $20 each or 2 for $35). I splurged and spent $96 in total, but I’ve been doing good with my savings lately and I don’t regret any of it. We don’t get to go to St. Louis very often and I wanted to treat myself.

Edible Pokemon terrariums!

My fiance and I are getting married this summer, and for a nerdy touch, we’ve been buying Japanese gashapon figures for some nerdy terrarium centerpieces! But I wanted to make edible versions, and as part of our St. Jude fundraiser, donors could choose how we decorated! By the end of May, we had raised over $1000, and made three unique terrariums that all had an Eeveelution touch!

Poncho Eeveelution terrarium: rock candy, chocolate pudding, Oreo crumbs, shredded coconut, vanilla cake

Beach terrarium: rock candy, graham cracker crumbs, granola, blue Jello

Ghost terrarium: rock candy, Oreo crumbs, OMG chocolate clusters, candy bones, purple potato chips

The Terrarium Project

While I'm nowhere near finishing the X-Stitch Pokédex (my tracker says I'm at 24.7% done), I thought I'd share some info about the planned second phase of the project: terrariums.

This terrarium pattern is the perfect size for these box sprites (examples below the read more). I would love to someday have a whole array of terrarium scenes that can be mix-and-matched with the pokémon sprites. That way every stitcher could have a fun pattern with their favourite pokémon - no matter how obscure it is!

I unfortunately don't have the visual mind to make some good scenes myself. So, unless a passionate pokéstitcher wants to partner on the project, these will have to wait until I have the funds to commission some real artists.

Hello!! I was wondering how you display and/or store your plushies? I have a lot of mine sitting on various book shelves and of course my bed but I’ve been wondering if there’s a better way to keep them or display them in some way! Do you have a favorite way or any recommendations at all? I would love to see how you do it and would appreciate any help!!💕 have a wonderful day ☀️

hi!! so i have two ways depending on if i’m displaying or storing: for storage I keep my plush in big, clear, airtight sterilite bins in my closet for safekeeping. For display (ones that aren’t in my bed lol) i have a few ikea cube shelves near my desk that work perfectly for me!

BaB eeveelutions and my new shinx and luxio on the shelf next to my desk (plus my pumpkin kitty and my webkinz named Fish!)

my tiny cube shelf on my desk with some of my figures and small plush including 🖤fraidy and scared-e🧡 (bunny stickers in the bottom right are from @iiwaken / oddrabbits patreon sticker club :3 )

lol i know most of these are pokemon but i display all my plush in cube shelves, they are so versatile! I think if you have a way that works for you that’s what matters ^_^
