Just saw a post quoting that HBO douchebag on how they're trying to figure out if it makes sense to renew for s3 based on bullshit metrics.
How about you crunch the data on how many people dropped their Max or Binge subscriptions the same day s2 finished fucking airing.

a fact about me is that i was an early bloomer who hit puberty in elementary school and was immediately, obnoxiously horny in ways that were uncomfortable for everyone because no one is prepared for an elementary schooler with b cups and a deep fascination with movies where people get tied up. another fact is that because i was considered smart for my age in the ways that mattered, i just accepted all this as a single package, the many ways that i was not really a child the way other children were children but was instead a miniature adult. i was technically a child, but not really, as far as i was concerned. it also did not occur to me until around high school that i was fat, because i instead considered myself to be sturdy, to be buff, to be built like a tank.
so somewhere around middle school i am noticing the ways in which i am Not Like Other Girls, the ways in which i am not what society says a girl is and the ways that things marketed to girls do not appeal to me. i don't know how other girls dealt with this, but i very rationally decided that i was only technically a girl, in the way that i was only technically a child. so i looked at the things that did appeal to me, and that i did enjoy, and reverse engineered my demographic to decide that on a practical and functional level i was a middle-aged man. i had also gotten really hornily into wolverine because of the first x-men movie, and ended up reading a lot of comics, so as you can imagine the comic book version of wolverine who is short and built like a tank and older than he looks despite being for all intents and purposes a middle aged man really had some appeal to me.
there are idiots who say shit about how tomboys would be considered trans these days or whatever, but i can assure you that was not what was happening here. by middle school i already had to special order bras and i was fine with that because of the many weird fetishes i was developing, none of which can be blamed on the internet because i hadn't found that shit yet and also to this day you would have a hard time finding anything similar to the things i wrote in my secret notebook and immediately destroyed. the fact that i was technically a girl was vital to all this. media where there was a big reveal that some cool dude had been a hot chick the whole time was my shit. weird feral beast people who turned out to be hot women once they took a bath? fuck yes. i would never have cut my hair because that would have ruined my chances to take off a helmet and reveal that i had girl hair. at no point did i think i was anything but a girl, it was just that i was functionally a middle-aged man, who was a girl.
what this means is that i still liked all the things i already liked, such as leather jackets and comic books and anime and old stand-up comedy, but i also did extensive research on the other things i felt i should like according to the demographic i had assigned myself. i watched vh1's 'i love the 70s' with the air of someone trying to hide their amnesia, even though my parents were children in the 70s. i got into the beatles. i tried to get into cars for a while before accepting that i only liked the vintage car aesthetic and couldn't be fucked to know actual car facts. i wore nothing but cargo shorts and aloha shirts for a while, which didn't really stand out that much because it was middle school. i bought a fedora and became a libertarian atheist. i made plans to buy a motorcycle (i could not ride a bike).
i gave up on it after a while because quite frankly my titty situation meant there was never really going to be a big reveal that i'd been a girl the whole time. it was pretty obvious even with the cargo shorts. also the older of a teen i was, the more likely it felt that i could maybe get laid, except i could tell that was never going to happen as long as i kept wearing cargo shorts. it took longer to give up the fedora because it was leather and i wore it with my leather jacket and fingerless gloves, which i convinced myself worked a lot better after i'd gone full high school goth. i lived in the desert so you can imagine how well that worked out for me, smell-wise.
anyway that's how my female socialization went, i don't think it was particularly successful tbqh

As someone whose degree was borderline digital marketing, it baffles me every single time companies like Unity pull this kind of shit.
First of all, it doesn't make sense. I don't know who conceived this moronic fee plan, but it's absolutely absurd. There's a lot of ways to get more money - not that I find any of them particularly favorable, but at least a price increase, sub tiers, etc are somewhat sensible in a functional way.
Beyond that, they don't have any common sense to see how this shit ALWAYS fails. One of two things are going to happen. Either everyone is going to jump ship from Unity (already seeing game devs reporting they'll be pulling their games) and their competitors will overtake them, or they'll have to backpedal.
Obviously, losing most of their business is bad and understandably unwanted for them, but I'm baffled by how few recognize the power of the second consequence.
Even if they reverse the decision, this is a HUGE smear to their reputation. Unity will lose business regardless, but even worse will be the loss of confidence in the company.
Consumers and devs alike are not going to forget this. They will not let it go. Other companies will use this as a talking point for their engines and their assets being superior because they at least respect game devs and gamers. They never tried to charge bullshit fees. They never got shamed back into being user friendly.
Reputation matters. Especially in today's market. Consumers largely do not fuck around anymore with companies who do this, especially when they've been dependable in the past.
It's foolish. It's embarrassing. It's greedy and out of touch. I don't envy their PR team right now.

So idea I got from Milo Murphy's Law episode Sercets and Pies.(One of the character zach was part of a lumberjack themed boyband) What if Jaune in his pre-teen and early teens was part of a boy band? The theming could anything. It be funny if it got his band popular at Beacon and he had a bunch of fangirls later.(Jeaulous Pyrrha or Nora since I know you like Nora's Arc)
Woman: FOUR JS! I HAVE YOUR WRIST BANDS!
Jaune: No way...
John: Over here!
Jaune: John?!
John: Oh, hey, Jaune!
Jaune: What are you guys doing here? It's great to see you, Joan, Jean, and Jorge here!
John: Actually, they changed their names to John.
Jaune: Oh, uh, hi, Johns. How you guys doing?
Johns: FINE.
John: So, you competing today?
Jaune: Kinda, I guess? I mean, it's just a gig for us.
John: That's great. I admire stiff competition.
Jaune: Uh, no, we're not really looking to win.
John: I hear ya, dude! I'm digging the rivalry!
Jaune: Oh, no. No rivalry here.
John: Ah, a little reverse psych, right?
Jaune: What- No! I'm not- Forget it. How have you guys been?
John: Great! We've got a new album, a couple music videos, and a set of action figures with glow-in-the-dark Js! It's our theme. How have you been?
Jaune: Pretty good. Got to Beacon, became team leader, made some friends.
John: Oh, I'm so sorry to hear how hard it's been for you.
Jaune: What? No, no. Nothing hard about me.
John: That's it! Let those hard times fuel you!
Jaune: ...Y'know what? I gotta get back to my team.
John: Don't beat yourself up too bad. Second place isn't too bad for an amateur musician.
Jaune: ALRIGHT! ALRIGHT! (Storms off)
----------------------------------------------------------
Jaune: It all started... nine years ago- ago- ago- ago.
Ren: ...Sorry. I had the reverb on.
Jaune: It all started nine years ago.
Jaune: The Five Js were on top. We toured shopping districts, farmers markets, dust stations, everywhere we could in our Valtralasgeriecuo home. We sang together, we danced together-
Nora: You wore Js on your chest together!
Jaune: Pretty much.
Pyrrha: So how did it end?
Jaune: Not great. When I left, they didn't have it in them to say Good-bye... So they said, "See you later" instead. And now, they all changed their names to John!
Ren: Why is that an issue?
Jaune: When I was in charge, I didn't make them change their names to Jaune!
Pyrrha: Did you want them to?
Jaune: No, but that's not the point! We need to step up our game!
Nora: But I thought you said we should just relax and... something... I dunno, there was a squirrel and I got distracted.
Jaune: Well, we need to crack down! Nora, pick up those drumsticks! Pyrrha, pick up that triangle!
Pyrrha: Okay, but I'm not taking your first name.
Jaune: And Ren, those funky beats won't play themselves!
Ren: Actually, with this automatic function on speaker system, they can-
Jaune: Tell me later! We gotta focus!
----------------------------------------------------------
Jaune: Do you have any secrets?
Nora: Actually, I do! See, this isn't my real face. You see, I'm really... A ROBOT!
Jaune: (Runs away with Pyrrha)
Nora: (Chasing them) I AM A ROBOT! I AM A ROBOT!
Nora: Jaune?
Jaune: Huh? What?
Nora: You were zoned out for a second. Don't you want to hear me secret?
Jaune: Yeah, you said it wasn't your real face?
Nora: Yeah. See, my real face is... A ROBOT!
Pyrrha: (Runs away with Jaune)
Nora: (Chasing them) I AM A ROBOT! I AM A ROBOT!
Pyrrha: Nora? Nora!
Nora: Oh! Sorry! I was distracted again.
Jaune: So what's your big secret? What did you mean by that this wasn't your real face.
Nora: Oh, I meant this! (Pops out glass eye) I lost my eye playing with a Beowolf.
Pyrrha: Ooh~!
Jaune: (Runs away in terror, Slams into door)
----------------------------------------------------------
Pyrrha: (Tears through Vale on Bumblebee)
Pyrrha: (Jumps thru Dragonslayer billboard)
Nora: ...Wow, that's some cool 3D.

Is blogging still relevant in the age of TikTok and Instagram?
Tumblr media
Hello Tumblr people! Have any of you ever thought about the issue I outlined above? Have you guys thought is blogging still useful in this day and age where are TikTok and Instagram popular on the internet nowadays? Well, in my point of view, blogging is still relevant in the era where TikTok and Instagram widely used, and it is also continues to be a platform for content creator to create and share their information. Despite this, it has changed significantly since it was established.
Have you ever thought ‘What is Blog?’
Tumblr media
Well, I am one of the few people who doesn’t know anything about blogging too at first. Lets get in to the history of blog first. Swarthmore College student Justin Hall is credited with creating the first blog, Links.net, in 1994. However, it was not considered a blog at the time... Simply a personal webpage.
Then, in 1997, Jorn Barger, blogger for Robot Wisdom, the term “weblog”, which was meant to describe his process for “logging the web” as he surfed the internet. The term “weblog” was simplified to “blog” in 1999, by programmer Peter Merholz. A blog was originally a personal online log or diary where someone could share information or their views on many different kinds of topics. The information was provided in reverse chronological order, with the most recent post appearing first. A blog is now a frequently updated website or web page that can be used for personal or professional purposes.
Tumblr media
While the rise of social media has caused some to declare that blogging is no longer relevant, the truth is that blogging is very much alive and well. There are more blogs than ever before on topics ranging from fashion and travel to politics and entertainment.
Nowadays, blog is mostly used by blogger to share their content, idea, and new information that they get with others. Media flexibility is one of the key points why I personally think that blogging is relevant in this age of TikTok and Instagram. As we all know, Instagram and TikTok support photo and video format only while blog can have a mix of text, image, videos and everything in it. As a result, blogs may be utilized to transmit the message much more efficiently by using numerous media types. With blog the blogger have more control over your platform's design and functionality.
Tumblr media
Other than that, for people in business, blogging may be a strong marketing tool. They can market their goods or product through blog post for their client or consumers to stay up to date with their product updates. Blogging is an important component of any digital marketing strategy; it may boost leads by 67% and generate up to 97% more connections to your website. Visitors are drawn in by entertaining blogs that are well-written and give useful information. An amount of 61% of web users in the United States have purchased something after reading a blog. Bloggers can acquire the trust of their audience by continuously generating quality material that answers common issues and delivers credible information. Customers are more willing to conduct business with brands they trust, which can increase conversions and revenue.
Blogging can also boost your creativity and also sharp your critical thinking. To add on, it can also help people better their personal and professional life by sparking fresh ideas, discovering new perspectives, and thinking outside the box. But back to it again, every social media platform has it owns advantage.
With that said, what are your thoughts? Is blogging still relevant, or has it lost its fame?

I spent three hours today helping a renewed acquaintance get back into destiny. He played through D1 to just before Shadowkeep (his fit was all leviathan gear and I was super jelly), and I had to figure out what I actually needed to figure out to explain to him to catch him up to be able to play.
Anyway; three hours. Half that time was in missions actually playing, and half that time was me helping him navigate menus and popups.
Tumblr media
I get now (better understand, at least) why some folks are so comfortable shitting on Bungie the company over this game. There is so much poorly designed UI and confounding quest structure and information that appears only in HUD obscuring popups that disappear never to be retrieved.
And, I'm not willing to entertain that the UI and UX problems are a matter of 'they're doing their best' BECAUSE
There are places where it is crystal clear to see that the UI points the player in a Specific Direction to a Specific Place with a SPECIFIC GOAL IN MIND (you only get one guess but if you're a lifer like me you know the answer in your heart already) and it is clear that the UI can in fact function perfectly well but is Not Allowed To, in service of that Specific Goal
Tumblr media
This game is a cult. This game is a cult and I am a cultist. Its non-euclidian pathways are second nature to me, and the omnipresent Silver Light of the eververse is my accustomed daylight. Why would I question it? I already live here. I already love it here.
I love this game. I love the people who make the actual game I play. I hate the people who constantly try to make an extra 10-20-70 bucks off those who aren't going to be long-term players. These greedy fucking cash-scraping funnels they've constructed around the player onboarding experience have turned the game into a venus fly-trap.
Tumblr media
(pictured: bungie C-suite trying to get big publisher investment without letting go of the most offensive monetization on the market)
I don't want to sound like Tassi or SkillUp too much right now, but I get the part of them that says 'dont give bungie credit for reversing a decision they knew was a bad one in the first place. Don't give this company extra grace for not tightening their fist as much as they could have. Don't let them act like the greedy part of the game's design isn't greedy, and couldn't be done better.'
The two needs are in direct tension with each other. The game can be easy to play, and a paid subscription game, or it can be what we have now: free and greedy and unnecessarily labyrinthine to teach. They don't coexist.
I love it here already.

An essay on labor market frictions, international trade, and uncertainty Economics and Finance.
The labor market is a central institution in any modern economy. If the market does not function satisfactorily, willing workers will remain unemployed for too long, and many workers will occupy positions that are unsuited for them. Moreover, firms will not appear, grow, or close at the optimal rate. At the same time, the labor market is characterized by pervasive regulation. Across nations, the labor market is subject to minimum wages, hiring and bring restrictions, compulsory collective bargaining and arbitrage, limitations on the number of hours, anti discrimination clauses, curtailments on work by age and by gender, etc. Moreover, substantial differences in labor market flexibility persist even within groups of countries with similar income levels.
The purpose of this paper is to studying the role of labor market frictions and its interaction with international trade and uncertainty, the relationship between uncertainty and the business cycle.
When uncertainty increases, the value of a job match declines as the option value of waiting increases. Unemployment goes up, making it harder for unemployed workers to find jobs. The decline in employment drives the marginal product of capital downward, which triggers fall in capital investment. Uncertainty also makes economic agents cautious about decisions like employment, which adjustment costs can make expensive to reverse. Thus, it gives rise to a contractionary real option-value effect. In this, real options apply to key decisions: hirings, firing and firrm entry.
How Can Taxes Help Ensure a Fair Globalization?
As productivity can quickly revert, firms become more reluctant to separate from their workforce, all the more so as they pay firing costs. The decline in total employment drives the marginal product of capital downwards, which triggers a fall in capital investment. Firm dynamics have an impact on job creation and separation decisions, and vice versa. We find that increased uncertainty generates real exchange rate depreciation, current account surplus and reduces the stock offirms in the economy.
Over the past decades, trade liberalization has led to a significant trade expansion. In developing countries, job creation resulting from trade liberalization has mainly taken place in the informal economy. The novelty of this paper is to focus on the interactions between the choices to participate at the international trade and the induced labor reallocations between formal and informal activities.
However, trade expansion and higher levels of economic activity do not necessarily imply higher employment quality and better working conditions. The essay show that trade liberalization boosts economic activity and employment in both the formal and informal sector. In the emerging economy, in the medium run, trade liberalization ultimately induces more firms to export, thereby increasing labor demand and real wages. As in the developed economy, this leads to high share of exporters and informality in emerging economy.
In the long run, when the developed country has reached its long-run level of iceberg costs, in the emerging country trade expansion is still ongoing. In the emerging country, revenue growth is now driven by iceberg cost reduction which takes place only in the emerging country and still generates growth gains.
An easy way to promote formal employment is to reduce the payroll tax paid by firms. An alternative solution might be implementing a "budget-neutral" tax reform, consisting in increasing the consumption tax to fund the cut in payroll taxes. An advantage of this strategy is that the consumption tax has a larger base, it is easier to collect and more difficult to evade. The tax reform is country-specifc. The most important point is certainly the fact that the tax reform allows the welfare of the unemployed workers to increase, despite the large initial loses induced by the jump in the consumption tax.
This essay show that trade liberalization boosts economic activity in both developed and emerging countries. However, the paper find that trade liberalization is associated to higher informality, which ultimately implies less job security and lower employment quality. Policy makers should consider placing a high priority on promoting job quality and income equality. Policy interventions should follow a comprehensive approach that rests on three pillars: increasing the benefitts of formality, decreasing the costs of formalization and improving enforcement methods.
Tax policy interventions should go hand in hand with more effective social protection systems and labor laws. Extending unemployment benefits to all workers in the formal sector including those working part-time and/or on temporary contracts, could prevent unemployed from looking for an informal job. Another step to enhance the quality of existing jobs is intensifying labor inspections in those sector where the incidence of informal work is higher.
The effects of uncertainty shocks can vary across countries, depending on their structuralcharacteristics, policy reactions, etc. This paper tries to focus on the role of LMIs in the transmission of uncertainty shocks. Under irreversibility and uncertainty, rms become more reluctant to lay workers off. The role of other country characteristics is ambiguous.

Bullet points make your resume scannable, allowing hiring managers to quickly identify key information. Use them to list responsibilities and achievements.
XI. Proofreading and Editing
A. Importance of proofreading
Errors in your resume can create a negative impression. Proofread carefully to catch typos, grammatical mistakes, and formatting issues.
B. Tools for effective editing
Utilize spelling and grammar checkers, and consider seeking feedback from peers or professional resume services to ensure your resume is flawless.
XII. Leveraging Keywords for Online Applications
A. Understanding ATS (Applicant Tracking System)
Many companies use ATS to filter resumes. Incorporate relevant keywords from the job description to increase your chances of passing through ATS.
B. Incorporating relevant keywords
Identify keywords specific to your industry and role and strategically place them throughout your resume. Strike a balance to maintain readability.
XIII. Seeking Feedback
A. Importance of seeking feedback

I'm not a fun of hormonal birth control methods either, but putting it in the hands of men wouldn't work at all. You'd have to trust that someone takes their pill, which is a very risky thing to do.
In my eyes, it's natural that women carry the burden of it, because we're also the only ones who can get pregnant and give birth. You can never shift that burden. I'm a fan of fertility planning methods and the like to make sure people can avoid pregnancy when they want to, but without actual birth control (whether hormonal or not) you can't also expect to have sex whenever you want and never end up pregnant. Abortion is always an option, but it's mentally taxing and it's not as easy of a solution as birth control.
A good solution would be a way to make women infertile until the moment they want children, instead of male birth control that no man will want to use and won't deter any women from using their own birth control.
I think men should bear the burden because it's biologically easier to control their reproductive function because it sits on the outside (RISUG) eg. So it's more a logically biological point.
From a behavioural aspect yes it won't work because men are not trustworthy and want to impregnate women. RISUG is fully working, reversible and no side effects btw. Wasn't developed in the US and most western world because they'd rather women suffer since that makes more money (8 billion market to be exact) Whereas RISUG is a one time procedure that lasts a decade. There's no recurring revenue there. Half of pharma's women's health portfolio would be wiped lol. But this can only be accomplished in a future society where women actually have the power to make laws.
An example would be male partners must get RISUG from their GP and carry cards that certified by the GP that they've gotten this procedure done. This will allow their female partners to know they indeed had the procedure done etc so they can have other safe sex practices etc but the pregnancy risk is verified.
There's no way to make women infertile temporary. Because of how women's physiology is, I can't even see that developing with any amount of technology. But men's reproduction can be controlled by a dictatorship of proletarian women 🤌🏽👌🏾🫡
FAM only works if you have a regular cycle and are extremely dilligent about taking temps at the same time every day. And your cycle can be thrown off by any stressors in your life and make you ovulate earlier or later. most women don't even have regular cycles much anymore because of the endocrine disruptors in our environment. for now your only option is getting RISUG done in India when it becomes available or something, FAM and condoms if you don't want hormonal bcp. Copper IUDs seem to be extremely toxic to the body which I believe full evidence of its necrosis causing effects will come out in some decade

the Steve Harrington-ification of 2D where the fandom projects an image of purity onto the guy despite the shit that happened in season 1 (or early phases for gorillaz)
It's interesting because it's-- it's really happened from the beginning, hasn't it? There wasn't a time in the fandom, even in P1 & P2, where Stu's portrayal by fans didn't have shades of this throughout (even more prominent through shipping content, almost universally so.) But 20 years on and having crossed significant social milestones and generational lines with the band now, we've been able to watch the source material itself bend and twist to better echo back what the audience is saying, to the point of fans quite commonly dismissing and retconning canon on the basis that it "doesn't align with his character." In theory it's putting the most weight on the "journey" having changed the character and respecting a reverse chronology which prioritizes the "final evolution," as opposed to respecting the establishing chronology for the foundation, the creative vision in its least diluted form with fewer marionette strings and fewer box-bindings attached, and later additions by new writers as a split between developments and deviations: like seeing the camel as the more functional animal versus the camel as the horse designed by committee, as it were. I can't necessarily sound unbiased arguing one over another, and I'm trying to lay that out fairly, but you certainly know my view on Stu and what I want, haha. Whether it matters to mass enjoyment or impacts the monetary necessities behind production or should be understood with compassion or any of those talking points (and I'm not arguing against considering them) I do think it's an objective truth that Stu's character looks most like this, the infantilized unironic softboy, when the people writing him are not the people who made him but the people responsible for social media engagement and marketing. Jamie's thematically-untethered artbook collections or Damon's in-character approach to The Now Now or Sleeping Powder as Stu-specific pieces of "second wave" Gorillaz have layers, edges, weight to them, and I think they illustrate a more cohesive and believable evolution of his (and any) character through both the visual and musical lens he was crafted for. They illustrate that the alternative doesn't have to be stagnation, so to argue that's what we're calling for is disingenuous; it just doesn't have to be... what we've been getting, either.

Music Player in 2023... Why Sony?
The convenience of Bluetooth streaming is great but it is constrained by how much data it can pump through its signal. Though portable music players are preferably used with wired headphones for maximal performance, wired cans have seemingly enjoyed a recent renaissance too.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Smartphones are great for convenience but they’re not necessarily great for sound. As they’re multi-taskers, able to perform a range of functions, that also means they are a product that’s a jack of all trades but master of a few. Support for higher quality music has become better in the portable space with what Qualcomm is doing with its Snapdragon Sound platform and Sony’s innovations with LDAC, but in terms of outright quality for music, you won’t find better than a portable player.
Sony’s announcement of a new and not too expensive Walkman is a sign that portable music players still have a function and a purpose, as well as reminding some they still exist. Most would assume that portable music players have (or are) going the way of the Dodo, slowly passing their way out of relevance. However, we’re still seeing specialists such as Astell & Kern launch new players every year, and just recently FiiO announced the M11S. While Apple killed off the iPod, the rest of the portable player market isn’t interested in joining the scrap heap just yet.
The NW-A306 has a battery life of up to 36 hours of continuous playback, a 3.6-inch display, and because it runs on Android, you can install your favorite streaming apps if you must, although that defeats the point of having all your music with you. You'll still need a computer to load your music onto the device, just like with the iPhone's Music app, but that somehow seems less annoying with a walkman than with a phone. It also has audiophile-level playback at up to 96KHz (more than double the sample rate of a CD), although that's probably not a difference you can hear.
But it's not all upside. For a start, you'll have to carry two devices if you still want to carry your phone. And it's possible that you kind of let your music library slip when streaming came along. I bought a used iPod a while back, and when I loaded up all my songs, there was no music from the last half-decade or so because I'd been streaming it all.
The convenience of Bluetooth streaming is great but it is constrained by how much data it can pump through its signal. Though portable music players are preferably used with wired headphones for maximal performance, wired cans have seemingly enjoyed a recent renaissance too.
In a wider sense, of this seems to have converged around a greater want for higher quality music on the go. We have for decades limited ourselves in this area as MP3 streaming and downloads were a step in the wrong direction, one that’s taken a long time to reverse. In people’s minds, the quality of what they’re listening doesn’t matter as much as having access to it. We have access to more music than we can fathom at the moment, the area that we need to beef up is the quality we listen at.
From DACs to headphone amplifiers and higher quality streaming services such as Tidal and Qobuz (we still wait for Spotify Hi-Fi to make its entrance), the issue of ‘quality’ is one of the frontiers that the music and audio industry is pushing towards. All these devices have the potential to make music sound better, so while my smartphone will still be my device of choice given how much it (rightly or wrongly) rules my day-to-day activities, when it comes to listening to music in its highest quality, I’ll be tuning in with my portable player to get the best experience possible.
Tumblr media
On My View Point...
You may think that, there’s only a need of an audio enhancing software or a high end headphones. But on all every aspects, from nostalgic design, high end specs possible and even quality - Sony have managed to make it all happen in a capsule. And that’s it. For music lovers, this will be dream gadget for sure and so happy to see this upgrade on this formfactor which was really unexpected. And looking forward to have a glance of one of these in real. And that’s been it - Edwin K Jayesh

Is a credit counselor for debt management different from debt management services?
Debt is a liability that adds a burden to one's financial troubles. It may be a part of planning and implementing one's venture. However, getting relief from debt is not an easy journey. It is a tough part of one's financial life. When nothing works in such a case, a suitable debt relief solution comes into play.
There are various types of debt relief solutions in the market. Two of them are debt management services and a credit counselor for debt management. In this write-up, we shall see what's the difference between the two.
Credit counselor: Overview
A credit counselor for debt management job is explainable through its non-profit way of settling the money matters. It is an entire organization that advises people to cope with money matters without charging any fee for the same. On the other hand, most debt management service providers charge a reasonable fee for the settlement of money matters.
Differences between a credit counselor and debt management services
The last section discussed two debt relief solution examples. However, the major difference between the two was that one of them works for free, and the other charges a reasonable fee. To understand it in detail, these points are good to explain more differences between these two services:
1. Non-profit vs profit-making
The first point of difference is obvious through profit-making and non-profit-making. The job of a credit counselor for debt management is free from the aim of making profits. It is the reverse in the case of a debt management service provider.
2. Advice vs offers to settlement
Non-profit organizations (credit counselors) don't have any such agreements as in the case of debt management services. This creates many differences between their functioning and working in the same field. This agreement has many roles to play in the further process.
3. No negotiation vs negotiation
Credit counselors for debt relief don't carry out processes such as negotiation. They just put simple advice to follow before people. On the other hand, debt management services rely on the negotiation process. This also creates a wide difference in their functions.
 4. Agreement vs no agreement
While debt management services work only after they get an agreement made, credit counseling doesn't work this way. Rather, they have a set of normal things to advise the people. Having an agreement leads to many rules.
Conclusion
Two solutions for debt relief exist in the same market. The difference between the two services of debt management and credit counseling is obvious from this write-up. It is, therefore, important for the people with financial issues to be aware of these services and their different functions. This would reduce the financial burden and enhance awareness.
Besides, people new to financial management should know about the kinds of aid they can avail in tough times. This is not a mere add-on, rather it's an integral part of life.

The 5 Best Makita Rotary Hammer: Dominate Your Projects 2023
Come to the main point, Buying a Makita rotary hammer is difficult? Of course, but don’t worry. In this article, we will share the 5 best Makita rotary hammers that will dominate your projects in 2023.
There are many Makita rotary hammers in the market today. We have selected the 5 best Makita rotary hammers for you. How do we select the best product? We do Amazon product reviews, live interviews, and product research. Sometimes, we use these products and then give the products a review.
How Do I Choose The Right Makita Rotary Hammer?
What to think about when picking a tool based on its features and differences.
How do I choose a suitable Makita rotary hammer? What to think about when picking a tool based on its features and differences.
When choosing a Makita rotary hammer, there are 10 several factors to consider. Here are 10 main key points to keep in mind:
Motor Orientation
The Makita rotary hammers can have a horizontal or vertical motor orientation. Horizontal motors are more practical for general household use as they are lighter and can be used in narrow spaces. Vertical motor models, on the other hand, offer greater power and better cooling but are generally considered more suitable for professional use.
Modes of Operation
Pay attention to the available modes of operation. Standard modes include drilling, drilling plus impact, and impact-only mode for chiseling. Some models may have additional modes for specific tasks. Choose a Makita rotary hammer that offers the modes you need for your projects.
Engine Power
The motor’s power indicates the tool’s ability to handle intensive workloads. Household rotary hammers typically range from 450 to 900 watts, while professional-grade tools can go beyond 900 watts. Select a power level based on the frequency and intensity of your work. Higher power is required for frequent and heavy-duty use.
Impact Force
Impact force measures the tool’s effectiveness in interacting with the working surface. It is usually measured in joules, Newton meters, or inch pounds. The higher the impact force, the easier it is to drill through rigid materials. Consider the impact force rating based on the type of projects you will be undertaking.
Drilling Diameter
The drilling diameter determines the size of the holes you can make. This value depends on the type of drill bit or crown used. Different Makita rotary hammers can accommodate various hole diameters in materials like concrete and metal. Choose a model that can handle the desired hole sizes for your applications.
Rotation Speed and Impact Rate
The rotation and impact rates affect the drilling speed and efficiency. Higher speeds are generally preferred for faster drilling. Household Makita rotary hammers usually have rotation speeds of 1000 to 1500 revolutions per minute, while professional models may have slower speeds for chiseling purposes.
Chuck Type
The chuck holds and secures the working attachments such as drills, crowns, or chisels. The two common chuck types are SDS-Plus and SDS-Max. SDS-Plus chucks are used for lighter and medium-sized rotary hammers, while SDS-Max chucks are found in heavier, more robust models.
Weight
Consider the weight of the Makita rotary hammer as it affects comfort and usability during extended periods of work. Lighter tools are more suitable for household use. In contrast, heavier ones are typically associated with professional-grade equipment when choosing a weight you can handle comfortably based on the nature of your projects.
Additional Features
Look for additional features that enhance the tool’s performance and convenience. These may include a reverse function for rotating the working element in the opposite direction, a smooth start feature to avoid sudden jolts, anti-vibration systems for operator comfort, and protection against drill jamming.
Equipment and Case
Consider the tool’s complete set and the quality of the carrying case. A durable case with secure latches ensures the safe storage and transportation of the tool. Depending on your needs, including drills, chisels, or adapters in the set can also be beneficial.
Remember, a good Makita rotary hammer can be inexpensive. You can find an affordable option by selecting a tool that meets your specific requirements and tasks.

re: your ask from greyr4t about win10: as you said in your answer its free, just needs a key for 'activation.' ime activating win10 has been worth it. like you mentioned, it isnt strictly necessary, one can make do fine in a somewhat limited capacity with the watermark in the corner forever (unless your monitor is an OLED then have fun with 100% guaranteed screen burn in lmao. or unless always seeing it enrages you disproportionately. as in my case). but having windows activated is honestly just nice, it makes many things easier and is more sustainable in the long run... worth the extremely minor hassle as like a QoL thing imo. you also brought up that its possible to circumvent microsoft (and its brazenly insane asking prices 🤬) & buy cheap keys online from third parties. i wanted to talk about how i did shit, hopefully it helps the original asker directly or at least comes in handy to know
so i bought my (shady bootleg, yes, but perfectly functional for years now) win10 activation key for even cheaper than what Synthia listed as a price point- iirc, under 5 bucks USD. (might be higher now w inflation, but id be surprised if its much more than around 10.) if things still work how they used to, you can do this on ebay. technically ebays policies dont allow it, so the accounts selling these keys come and go frequently due to getting shut down by ebay after popping up. thus, dont necessarily be put off if the seller hasnt existed for long, as often thats just how it goes (or it did. hopefully this sort of thing is still going strong🤞); do trust happy reviews. now, there are a few TYPES of activation keys– priced slightly different, nothing big– that correspond to different editions of windows 10. so basically its home edition, pro edition, and "pro for workstations". might be worth finding a brief summary of each to determine which edition best meets your needs. (there are more editions beyond the main trio, look into those too if you want, but the tldr on em is theyre for like niche markets w/ highly specific use cases.) fwiw, i got pro & am happy with it. another thing, from personal experience: may or may not be obvious but you're gonna wanna save a screenshot of your key somewhere safe and accessible. additionally though, label the screenshot somehow so you know what it is later, and if youre a disorganized scatterbrain like i am then put that in multiple places you can reliably access so if/when youre having trouble tracking it down you know where else to look; it came in handy for me to have access to it in places both online (cloud storage like google drive or dropbox for example, or even just saving the email copy of the ebay mssg in the designated folder in your email for the ones containing info you wanna save) & off (physical note on paper, stored in the files on one or more personal devices, etc). theres a huge chance youll need it again in the future– like say if you want to upgrade certain hardware– and likely more than once. final advice: highly recommend looking into comprehensive ways of "defanging" and/or "lobotomizing" windows, as they say. i.e., a tip that gets circulated is doing the initial setup for windows w your pc in airplane mode / ethernet unplugged so you dont have to make a microsoft account so they cant create a profile on you to collect your data to sell off & target ads at you (which is obvi totally reversible later if you decide the benefits of having an account outweigh the drawbacks). shit like that, plus the loads of guides out there– many here on tumblr itself– on extensive fucking around in various settings to disable bloatware / preserve privacy / other useful stuff, that can get pretty granular. i think ive even seen Synthia herself reblog posts like that here a couple times, maybe? perhaps try checking relevant-seeming tags from the tagging system in her pinned, or do a blog search for the term 'windows' and see what all there is to find
phew, anyway, jesus christ! sorry this got to be such a long writeup!!! some of this blog's aggregate of resources have been a big help to me, so i wanted to try to pay it forward a little <3 and, Synthia, if you wouldnt mind, tagging the original asker in your response to this anon so that greyr4t is more likely to see all this would be very much appreciated by me!! ty in advance!! thanks also for your careful curation of useful info on this blog, plus the helpful posts and guides youve written here for us yourself 👍🌈
hi anon ! thanks for writing all this up !! lots of great points here - hopefully they help you out @greyr4t ! the airplane mode one is real important too if you care about privacy (and the fact you can't choose to make a local account during installation unless you are disconnected from the internet is awful and yet another dark pattern-type tactic.
i'm glad my blog's been good for you <3 (though i do need to go through and make all the important stuff a bit easier to access at some point)
iirc there's some reblogs on general privacy stuff (probably under one of the REPO tags and like "net privacy" or similar) as well as my own firefox post, and maybe more will happen in the future when i get to them

Seeing as you have a corset, may I ask how I might acquire (of decent quality) myself? I wanna get my mom something other than spanx to smooth out her form under her dress.
I unfortunately don't have any one particular good store to send you to. I did buy mine from The Violet Vixen (just give em a Google) like years ago, though I personally question the ethics around certain kinds of fashion brands that I don't know if this one counts so that's my disclaimer and I leave that to individual judgment.
I can however direct you a bit into what goes into a quality corset.
My first recommendation is always going to be to try one on in person and be fitted by somebody who knows how to do it if you can. Visiting some of the clothing shops at Ren Faire, for example, is a really good place to try one on even for fun. Always recommend. 👌
Next is to think of a corset like a shell, not a second skin like spanx try to achieve. Even a budget one is not necessarily supposed to *shape* you as much as to *hold* you tightly - BUT not TOO tightly. You should still be able to get more or less full range of motion and comfort breathing and moving in it with exception of being able to bend at the waist completely freely because of the boning being pulled vertically around your body like a cage.
From there, it's my personal recommendation to always shy away from plastic boning (it bends and deforms and hurts over time) and to go with either stainless steel spiral boning (first recommendation) or if you're making your own to consider using wood splints (just basket weaving materials). Using wood in place of boning is not likely feasible unless you are building your own from scratch, but it was a neat fact I came across while I was researching them throughout history, and I low-key really want to bring it back. Anyway, that's my propaganda moving on.
Next, consider the fabric that it's made of and how it's constructed. Something made of stretchy fabrics will likely be less bulky and hide underneath clothes better - these particular kinds are also usually marketed to fit underneath clothing. The one that was in my post is not one of those kinds of corsets. It's designed to function as a top or over a light shirt, and thus it's a much heftier piece of clothing than it might seem at a glance. I'm always of the opinion that I'd rather have a sturdier piece of my wardrobe then a flimsier one if I couldn't tell over an internet purchase, but I think that would defeat the point that you're specifically looking for.
Finally, and this is usually the step that determines the price point for one of these bad boys, consider the style of corset that you're buying. There are garments called stays that pre-date the Victorian corset yet nevertheless have even more of that underlying boning structure, but it's much more elaborate. I bring these up because while they can be even more daunting and complicated looking than corsets (not to mention if you're going this route you may have to make them yourself like I did or be prepared to pay some good money), when it comes to actually wearing them I much prefer 18th century stays to 19th century and 21st century corsets. They also fit under my clothes better and shape my figure better, in my opinion, then the corsets I've bought online.
Now, mind you, I have never tried to make the kind of corset you can buy online, because if I had I would have made one specifically to my measurements and may have been just as happy with that, but that's yet another disclaimer.
So to reiterate, and maybe I actually recommend these in reverse order as steps but I've written this already and I'm lazy:
Try one on before you buy if possible
Think of it like a shell or cage you comfortably sit in - so size and lace appropriately
The plastic boning is iffy, I recommend spiral steel boning
Consider the construction: fabric, overall weight, etc.
Consider the particular style of garments you're looking for: overbust, underbust, girdle, fully-boned stays, half-boned stays, etc. Not all are corsets.

I've been working in GDevelop since January so I might as well lay out my thoughts on it - I found it because I really wanted to try something different, while researching different engines I thought "what's the quickest, cheapest way to make a platformer?"
GDevelop is free and doesn't require any coding knowledge, there's a pretty decent range of things you can do with it, it's capable of browser integration when hosting on sites like Itch, it has a paid version but it doesn't seem vastly different than the free version. Most notably you can't get rid of the splash screen without altering the code in the free version, I believe Unity has something similar.
it is strictly 2D, (without use of plugins, I believe there has been a 3D plugin made? but the same can be said of RPGM) I don't think it is quite as flexible as something like Unity? this is fine for me though, more about trying to look into software outside of RPGM and learn about what's its like to make other types of games
I think organizing things might be the biggest learning curve between GDevelop and RPGM, GDevelop's system can be a lot to deal with - you pretty much have to decide how to sort things yourself, how to group objects, and figure out the best use of different variables. Global variables, Scene variables and Object variables all have different applications, as well as just sorting through all your overarching events and the best ways to group them.
I guess it's like the reverse of having to learn what attributes RPGM ascribes to different classes of items, or what properties it gives game elements. YOU have to define those terms yourself, for the most part. In that respect it's a lot more flexible, but it also falls on you to be able to make sure the way you define these things doesn't conflict with itself or become overly complicated.
The way it handles animations over RPGM is mostly for the better, you can assign however many frames of animation as you like and give it whatever frame rate. Maybe the one thing it doesn't have is RPGM's abilities to switch out animations - you need to assign ever animation any object is going to use beforehand, or be able to switch it out with another object that does have the right animations.
This can get complicated, especially when it comes to points and boundary boxes, which also need to be altered to suit the graphic. Animations that need different points and boundaries can get very time consuming very fast, assigning each point is a finicky process.
I think one of the real biggest shortcomings is how the engine handles tilemapping, there's another tilemap editing program that GDevelop is supposedly integrated with, but a lot of the functionality gets lost between programs. It doesn't seem to handle animated tiles well if at all, there is an additional plugin that you can use to set different properties to different tiles but it only works on a single layered tilemap. Editing the whole thing over two programs and one plugin makes this whole process feel stilted and not as immediate as RPGM.
I think there is another plugin, again, that can do animated tiles, but jesus christ.
I can't help feel a little cynical about the general presentation of GDevelop too, like, much in the way any hyper-integrated "you can make money basically for free, churn out mobile apps, include ads in your games" etc. kind of marketing makes me uncomfortable, in a way that RPGM doesn't. It makes you worry that they're going to do something skeevy, you know? Or already are, just out of sight.
Overall I think it's worth playing around in, but, I think with anything it's better not to have total dependency on your tools. Maybe one day I'll get over my squeamishness of learning a coding language hahaha
