In real life, the traddest men I know: change diapers; do chores; are present and playful with their kids; take good care of their wives; work 50+ hours a week to provide for their families; literally never think about the 1950s.

#there is literally ONE (1) guy at my trad parish who is kind of a problem. he’s a) young b) apparently terminally online #and he is surrounded by the other trad husbands who have quietly mutually agreed to Change Him #my life #everything online is disconnected from reality and an aesthetic pipe dream #in real life trad communities differ just like other communities do #but my parishes are not that unusual #there’s a variety of opinion and practice but everybody is basically grounded and sane #our kids may struggle when they grow up but like. don’t we all #no matter what you do you can’t struggle or rebellion proof your kids #I have a foot in at like 5 different parish groups. I don’t attend them all regularly but I have strong ties with them #besides - ask five trads what it means to be trad and guess how many answers you’re going to get #more than 10 for certain #my catholic thoughts

i don't talk about being a kpop fan a lot bc it's fucking exhausting but what gets me is the way some ppl want these fully grown adults to behave like neutered dolls. sorry but a grown adult can be sexual. a grown adult can have sexual appetites & desires with other adults. they can go to strip clubs or cabaret places because they're grown adults. do you think other adults don't do that? if so how would those places even be in business? nearly everyone on planet earth has had sex just for fun at least once. or just gone out with someone for a good time. even smoke and drank too just for fun. the way the world functions in these ppls brains is mind boggling & they need to shut up

Me: Mother, we should dress the baby up for halloween.

Mother: She's not even four months old yet, she doesn't need candy.

Me: I didn't say anything about candy???

Mom: But then why dress her up?

Me:....You know, just because you've dressed up two babies before now, doesn't mean that it's not still fun >:C

Mom: I've dressed up two babies before, which means I already know how much this one is going to squirm and fuss when she gets uncomfortable.

Me:

Mom:

Me: But-

Mom: You already bought a costume, didn't you?

Me: YES, look at it, it's a little pumpkin overalls set, with a matching hat-

Mom: She'll be too hot-

Me: I considered that when I bought the fabric. It's made out of muslin, so depending on what the weather is like, we can put it on her as just clothes, or we can get her cozy with something warmer underneath.

Mom:

Me:

Mom: You made this?

Me: Yes. the costumes at the store are scratchy and they smell weird.

Mom: ....we should try it on her to make sure it fits...

Me: I mean, it's pretty loose already. I wanted her to be able to wiggle around if she wanted to. Plus I added some extra snaps in case we needed some extra room, or she decided to get significantly bigger in the next month.

Mom: Honey, I'm saying that I would like to put the baby in the pumpkin suit right this very second, because it's very cute.

Me: Oh. Okay! I think Dad has her?

#and then my mother hunted down my sister with the same excited grin that I usually have #cherry updates #kind of #listen im just very enthusiastic about the baby #shes small but shes gotten a lot bigger #and shes so attentive now!#i usually suck with eye contact but its so easy to look right at her for some reason?#and she makes the cutest faces and smiles and giggles #she doesn't cry a LOT when she wants something but #she is baby so how else is she supposed to say she needs something?#when she does cry tho #oh boy she has a set of pipes #apparently i was also a very loud infant #it is what it is #i would post an adorable picture of her #but honestly the internet scares me a little bit and also my parents are iffy about putting her face on the internet #at least until she's old enough to understand what the internet is and what it means to be online #and get her consent for it #god they got so much shit from our family members for that decision #anyways im getting carried away #i promise im still alive and lurking around #im just totally infatuated with the tiny human #cherry news
