im trying to blend the fashion/aesthetic of 80s rockstars, disco, and rhinestone cowboy into a cohesive look. its painful

Back home and some complicated feelings about it again 😍 that said. Nothing beats my own beautiful bed
#sometimes I genuinely don't know whether I'd prefer to move back in with my parents or not#it wouldn't solve anything but I guess I could save up for a house? maybe?#but then again I can't right now because the point of being here is the learning and experiences#plus! I said I was going to try out the year. and we're only 1/4th through#which is a lot and not a lot simultaneously#back from friend trip agh. I miss the company even if being around people makes me self conscious#not my friend himself mind you but roommates I don't know as well as him. regardless. company nice#but the advantage of being at friend's places is that you can see what makes you feel at home in a place and then adjust that in your place#for example. my family never put a lot of stuff up on the walls#but I actually love rooms with a lot of framed pictures photos posters and such up. so if I do that here I'll like my space more#also!! I need to get more lamps#I love having various lamps around the place and I love not using overhead lighting#so I should invest in some home decor... for my gay little mental health#perhaps see what I can do to decorate for the winter holidays?#bien rambles#I've never been good at decorating or interior design but I can play around with it now...

It’s funny, John is never actually described as wearing the lyctor robes at any point but I think we’ve all just assumed that he would, to match his besties
#one time I did a scan through for every description of his outfit to help my partner with cosplay stuff#and he’s never described with the robes#at least to my memory I could be wrong#I mean other than when he takes mercy’s ajsjsjdj#harrow’s narration (or you know harrow’s narration as seen by gideon) frequently makes note of the robes in various scenes#and she seems to not be a huge fan of them#but she never notes John wearing them#when she does take note of John’s clothing it’s to express approval for how simple it is and for the color choice (black) etc.#so I do wonder if he’s actually intended to be wearing them#or if John doesn’t actually wear the robes#they are like#lyctor robes of office after all so idk#however by now we all so thoroughly picture him in them that it’s a mute point😂#at some point I may turn these tags into an actual little post with photos of book passages#for fun and for my own entertainment#and for the like 6 at most people who care😂#the locked tomb#john gaius#harrow the ninth#htn#tlt

misc. daily life photos again .. for the every once in a while that I collect enough over a few months to actually make a photo set out of them lol
#Not sure how to caption every photo because you can unfortunately no longer caption photos so that text appears#under them when you view them. you can only add photo descriptions (which is more about literally describing#the image for people who can't see it or etc.). I wish they had the ability to have both captions and descriptions as both are useful for#different functions but it seems they took captions away entirely so. I guess I'll have to just number every picture and then talk about th#em in the tags or soemthing?? SO.. starting from top left to right --#image 1: blackberries BUT also if you look close.. there's a tiny little bug on them lol#image 2: little water droplets on the back of a leaf that looked cool.. love anything with tiny water orbs#image 3&4: a spiky fuzzy sort of caterpillar outside on a yardwork glove.. small friend#image 5: THIS is such a bad slogan!!! what a lie!!! I also usually get a coffee bubble tea but the place is like 50% of the time ou#of coffee for some reason so. hggh.. Which I know is like everyday food for some people but. I get food from places SO rarely that it's al#ays an event to take a picture about lol. Just cooking at home 99% of the time makes those trips for fancy food more special I guess#Id rather save the money/dont have much in the 1st place .& also am still a freak who hates using apps/dislikes shit like ubereats or etc.#I would literall NEVER get food delivered to my house under any circumstance unless I was dying alone inside on hospital bed rest with no#support system and no transportation and having food delivered to me was my last possible option. otherwise. if I want something so bad#I can just leave the house to physically pick it up myself without involving a middle man to the process and paying more. .. going the arguably dubious route of just using whatever references are available of other birds from the same genus (and other, similar tyrant flycatchers) when it comes to the underside of the wings of the black-capped piprites. because it's the best-fitting species for this oc and it probably doesn't have any unique/noticeable ventral wing (?) patterns compared to other, similar birds
#found a page full of various people's photos of them. none have the underside of the wings visible#in the clearest video i could find they move so quickly that the flapping wings are just a blur of brown-ish grey. hope that's all it is
