The San Pedro House great blue herons are busy readying their nest. I watched a male present a stick to his mate. As courtship rituals go it helps to be both charming and practical. This is a new nest, built at the very top of the cottonwood about fifteen feet higher than last year’s. I’m waiting to see if the rookery has grown. In our desert environment great blues are somewhat uncommon, but I watched two other birds in the vicinity that might also be a mated pair.

Women & Children - High Line, New York City by Andreas Komodromos

Women & children by Nina Beier. For the High Line, Beier realizes Women & Children, a fountain composed of found bronze sculptures of women and children. The statues range in style from classical to contemporary, and all depict women and children in the nude, as has been Western art-historical convention. Water streams from the eyes of the sculptures, creating cartoonish tears that point to the fragility projected onto women and children as subjects. www.thehighline.org

O kadar tatlıydı ki bu kedi dayanamayıp aldık yanımıza , bir süre yattı böyle ama kalkınca huysuzlandı sonra bıraktık tabi o da gördüğümüz yere geri döndü. Bu benim için çok tatlı bir anı olarak kaldı umarım hayatta aynı onun güzelliği gibi güzel geçer onun için bu gecelik bu kadar olsun ,buraya yazmayalı olmuş …
