author's thoughts. thoughts on baizhu & childhood friend!reader, anyone? if you haven't already, go ahead and read i know my kingdom awaits, and they've forgiven my mistakes, as this post won't make sense without the context provided from that fic.

i think that once [name] agrees to stay in liyue with baizhu, they become very clingy to him. you know how he's rarely seen without changsheng? yeah, now he's also rarely seen without [name]. when he stays up too late at night filling prescriptions and whatnot, they'll be right there with him, gently squeezing their arms around his shoulders and lovingly reminding him, "if you don't go to sleep, i will kill you myself, changsheng's contract be damned."

it's a display of love! they threaten him out of love.

now, it isn't unheard of for people to mistake the two of them for being romantically involved, but it's also not exactly common for people to think that—usually, it's foreign visitors that think they're dating.

why is it those who are unfamiliar with the liyuean doctor and his childhood friend that often have that misconception?

from an outsider's perspective, it would definitely seem like they were. [name] would be very physically affectionate with him, i think. their ability to verbally express affection would have degraded slightly after their time in the abyss, so they've come to favor physical things.

sometimes they're gently clutching the corner of his sleeve. maybe they're adjusting his collar. perhaps they're taming some of his defiant strands of hair, patting them down with tenderness.

away from the public eye, it's even more intense.

they're just... always touching him in some way. constantly. baizhu eventually realizes that it's in some way protective.

really, they're just very clingy and protective. they missed their friend.

he generally lets them do as they please. although the doting behavior definitely made him reel in shock at first (ten years of no contact, and all of a sudden they're in his life again and are more affectionate than ever... yeah. it took some getting used to), he very much appreciates it! he's always reciprocating in some way, too.

baizhu often has a hand on their shoulder or on the dip in their back, so...

it's understandable that a lot of foreigners misinterpret their relationship.

however, it tends to become very clear that they aren't dating after a little bit of observation.

[name] has been known to hit his arm (gently! they're very conscious of his physical condition) or pinch his cheek. they bicker. they fight like siblings. liyue's residents see this kind of interaction between the two very often.

i also think that [name] has nightmares sometimes, largely about their time in the abyss.

just... baizhu cuddles. that's all. just him quietly talking them back to sleep, fingertips massaging their scalp, because they like hearing him talk. him somehow always knowing when they have a bad night, despite them never daring to go bother him about it. he always just seems to know.

i also like to think that [name] can sometimes be seen peering over his shoulder to read things, similarly to the way they once did when they and baizhu were kids.

and as a little bonus treat:

qiqi takes martial arts lessons from [name].

she and [name] are both cryo sword users. i didn't touch on it in the original fic (i actually didn't think about it LMAO i didn't realize the parallel i had created between them), but now, i like to think qiqi learns from them. she tries to model them when they aren't around or when she thinks they aren't watching and it is THE cutest thing to witness.

(Trafficshipping takeover~ and perhaps warning for Jimmy/Grian if someone doesn't jive with that? And polyhermits. They're all involved with each other, but some are more often with each other. Ya know.)

Grian supposes he should've seen it coming, really. Once he saw how well they got along during Double Life, he should've known it was inevitable for him to get along with the rest of that trio.

Still, Grian's best friend (just best friends, nothing more, he swears-) instincts can't help but be a bit frosty towards Impulse and Zed.

That's his bro. His buddy. One of his closest friends. And though he knows Impulse and Zed, he still feels protective over Jimmy. (Definitely protective. Not jealous. Protective.) Maybe because he knows Impulse and Zed so well his jealousyprotectiveness is extra bad. He's seen how they are. Oh, he knows how loving and phyiscally affectionate they are. But he's also seen the three of them walk around with hickies littering their necks, bitemarks strewn in as well, and at least two of them limping a bit. Hell, he's been tangled in the sheets with them sometimes. And the thought of his Jimmy now being a part of all that... it makes his blood boil. No, it makes feel green. No, it makes something ache in him, with a feeling he doesn't dare to name. Yeah. Something aches. And he doesn't want to name it.

Because Grian also knows it won't probably 'stop' with just Tango, Impulse and Zed. Zed and Beef still have a thing going on from time to time, and Beef is a curious guy, and Zed loves to share in that regard. With Beef will come the NHO, who still meet up for 'physical recreation' regularly, or xB, which will lead to Keralis and Xisuma- Grian knows it won't stop there. And something in him burns at the thought. Burns at the thought of everyone but him being like that with Jimmy. (Getting to love and cuddle and cherish Jimmy, hear his infectuous laugh, feel his beautiful golden wings, count all the stars in his eyes-)

So, yeah. Grian is frosty towards Impulse and Zed. Because he's jealousprotective of his good friend. That's all.

Meanwhile Jimmy, who has the fattest crush on Grian known to mankind, but is also very much in love with his boyfriends Tango, Impulse and Zed, and is also very interested in the other Hermits (look, Scar's got abs for days since he became HotGuy, Gem is so pretty Jimmy can't properly think, Xisuma has the cutest laugh around- what is a guy supposed to do?! Not be pining?!), is very conflicted. Grian seems angry at him. He glares at him ever since Double Life ended. Is he mad that Jimmy fell in love with Tango, a casual partner of Grian's? He doesn't want to upset Grian or cross boundaries. But Tango's so... amazing. And if Grian is upset, he can tell him! Why isn't Grian telling him? Why is hw sometimes glaring at him, but other times his usual loveable self? He doesn't want to lose Grian. He actually got way closer to Tango, Zed and Impulse (and Scar, a bit) because he's getting their help to confess to Grian. He fell for them along the way. But if Grian is mad at him... should he say anything?

There's a 3rd (6th? 7th?) Player neither Jimmy nor Grian know about. Or rather, two.

Xisuma and fWhip.

They're not blind. They're not stupid. They see how Grian and Jimmy look at each other. X knows Grian's jealousy patterns. (He is a bit possessive of his hermits.)

And both of them are about to lock them in a white room with obsidian blocks around them and an elder guardian nearby for mining fatigue just so those two would talk!

I mean, good heavens, even X and fWhip didn't take this long to get together!

Grian should've seen all of this coming. But even someone who watches a lot can be blind sometimes.

(Jimmy/Grian dymanic is so fascinating to me. I wanna study them. They bully each other. They love each other. They are each other's worst nightmares and their dreams. They are always around each other and you never know if they love it or hate it. Them.)

It makes Jimmy second-guess confessing to see Grian acting so cold to him. He can tell it's off-putting to the rest of ZIT, too. Zed and Impulse both seem nervous, whilst Tango is more grumpy than usual. Jimmy feels like he's tearing all these relationships apart because of his greed. It's awful!

Thankfully, it's before he's put plan 'run away and leave the server forever' into action that he finds himself in a room. With Grian. And no way out. They're both awkward with each other, neither knowing what to say. They look for a way out and can't find one. So they sit on opposite sides of the room with their arms crossed.

They finally start talking, and that finally brushes the topic of why Grian keeps avoiding Jimmy. Grian splutters, arguing that he hasn't, and Jimmy blurts back that Grian has, because it's making Jimmy scared to confess to him!

The silence that follows after that is incredibly loud. Quietly, Grian asks if Jimmy really means that. Jimmy says that he meant it, but he'd still like to confess if Grian doesn't hate him now.

When fWhip comes to let them out, he finds the pair cooing over each other and preening, wings fluttering happily as they nudge one another.

Hey so remember when I said the winner of the GOAT Miguetri Moment poll would get a thing???

WELL I AM A WOMAN OF MY WORD DAMMIT

I realized I've never actually made these two a friendship moodboard and that!!! Will not stand, dammit!!!

Anyways their S1 dynamic was/is so important to me. Cute lil idealist Miguel truly believing Johnny Lawrence can solve all problems and cynical defeatist Demetri who has the only brain cell and is like "hey, this dude shat on my other best friend for something he can't help, embarrassed me for trying to defend him, AND I had to pay him??? At least I don't gotta cash out to Kyler." Dude's got a point, honestly. I'd get hazed out of Cobra Kai SO fast, and my parents would be like "thank god, those lessons were expensive" XD Demetri bby never let anyone shame you for making financially smart decisions that are also good for your mental health!!!

And the subtext of Demetri kinda trying to look out for Miguel and steer him away from idolizing this disaster man who peaked in high school??? Like I think I mentioned this on a previous post, but the way he tries to give Miguel the wake-up call Demetri thinks he needs and encourages him not to bend over backwards for people who (at least from what Demetri's seen!) don't treat him or people in general very well is kind of adorable. Like of course Demetri's being cheeky and smug and sarcastic about it, but he's basically saying that Miguel deserves better than Johnny and should respect/value himself a little more!

And Miguel, my beautiful hopeful babygirl Miguel Diaz <3 <3 <3 Like he believes in Demetri's potential long after Demetri's clearly given up on himself??? And tbh I've never read this scene as Miguel being annoyed Demetri trusts Miguel to protect him from bullies (like that's what you do for your friends lmao. And Miguel would in a heartbeat if he needed to because he's a loyal mf!!!). If anything, he seems worried about what Demetri's gonna do when he's not around and can't scare Kyler off and frustrated that Demetri's just dismissing his own potential that fast. Miguel clearly has 0 issue looking out for Demetri when the cards are down, considering how he talked to Johnny about Kreese punching him and readily sided with him after the Arm Break Incident.

Also something I've already mentioned in other posts, I'm sure, but the fact that a) Demetri completely trusts Miguel to protect him from bullies and implies he would do so with no hesitation and b) they're close enough friends after a few months max that they can comfortably walk with their arms brushing and casually give each other little affectionate platonic touches (most notably this little shoulder slap thing they do) is the cutest fucking thing on earth. This friendship is so slept on. Like every time I think about them I wanna cry because they're so fucking ride or die and they've easily had the most wholesome, loyal, and unproblematic friendship in the entire show and WHY aren't more people talking about them??? Any disagreements they have really ARE in the vein of "ugh you're so wrong never talk to me again for 10 minutes but then I have karate gossip I wanna tell you." I love them so much.

THEY ARE BESTIES YOUR HONOR

An argument could also be made that these two have a closer and healthier friendship than Miguel & Eli ever did and I ain't kicking that hornet's nest today but perhaps I will someday :3

For the “Send me a character and I’ll tell you...” ask game

My NOTP for them - It's hard to say a real notp for Terezi. She goes so well with almost any character. I guess the closest would be flushed Vriska♥️Terezi? I don't mind and even really enjoy them pitch and I can do pale, but I really don't vibe with them flushed. I also have zero interest in Johnrezi, but it's not a bad ship, it just doesn't have any appeal to me.

My BROTP for them - Vriska and Terezi are definitely up there as a favorite brotp. @overtrolled put it really well. I just feel like they’re cosmically linked. They need each other. They're a part of each other. It just doesn't need to be romantic.

Another favorite is Gamzee and Terezi. I LOVE them being really good bros. They had a few cute logs back before they played sgrub and Terezi obviously thought Gamzee was a real sweet guy. Plus, I love them as quadrant corners to Karkat. Troll in-laws, hell yeah. Miracle Child has some of THE best Gamzee and Terezi friendship I have seen and it's the best fuck you to canon ever.

My OTP for them - FLUSHED DAVE♥️KARKAT♥️TEREZIIIIIIII. I would absolutely commit vile crimes for this ship. I would tear shit up for this ship. Karkat and Terezi cared about each other so much and they had this awesome pining going on, but Dave and Terezi were just top tier meme team and they vibed so well. Then of course davekat is extremely good so. It just makes sense to put them all together 😌 And I can't get over the imagery of two knights and a dragon fksmdslslchd

My second choice pairing for them would probably just be flushed Karkat♥️Terezi, but if that's too close to the otp, then I'll go pale Sollux♦️Terezi. Love me some pale solrezi. Honestly, solkarezi is really good too, with them being some crazy mash of flushed and pale.

My fluffy pairing for them would probably not be a ship, but some mixture of Terezi, Nepeta, and Tavros being nerdy and roleplaying or appreciating animals. Tavros perhaps communicating with Terezi’s lusus in her egg and relaying messages back and forth. I know Terezi can communicate with her while sleeping, but I figured it’d be meaningful to her for Tavros to offer that. They three of them would just be the absolute cutest little pile of cuties to ever cute.

My angsty pairing for them, if I had to pick a ship I haven’t already, would probably beee... pitch Gamzee♠️Terezi? Like, an actual kismessitude though. Them two not getting along makes me so sad and the circumstances where they would become pitch would not be very happy ones. :c

My favorite poly ship for them are ones I’ve already mentioned, eheheh, and I don’t really have too many others I’m interested in for Terezi off the top of my head. OH HELLO. I ALMOST FORGOT MY FAV ASH SHIP:

If I don't fully indulge with bffs Gamzee and Terezi in an AU, then I love me some ashen Gamzee♣️Rose♣️Terezi when it comes to more canon compliant material. With how upset over his qudrants Gamzee was in openbound? Plus it being post murderstuck? PLUS Rose having to deal with some of the most difficult trolls? I feel like there's a whole slew of really delicious angst just waiting there. A Gamzee afraid of losing Karkat, a Terezi lost in her guilt over killing Vriska, and both tearing into each other in some ugly, misdirected pitch flirting, Rose would absolutely have her hands full and probably get a kick out of it. I also love the idea of Rose just seeing it as a fun social learning experience "oooh troll quadrants and getting to play therapist" type thing, but then she really starts to understand the depth of the bonds ashen relationships have and she really comes to care so much for both of them.

My weirdest pairing for them... I don’t know if I have one? I actually don’t have a lot of Terezi ships I realize. LIke, pretty much any ship gets better if you add Terezi, but idk if I personally have any I really care for?

Maybe he should keep a close eye on you, and who you meet with.

Reasons why Christmas Is Coming is the cutest episode of the 1990s cartoon Moomin (Muumilaakson tarinoita; the episode is based on Tove Jansson's short story The Fir Tree):

Beautiful winter scenery

Moominmamma saying "we like to have a little party before we go to hibernation", as if they don't have parties for literally everything

Fast forward to mid-winter, the roundest hemulen you have EVER seen is walking with snowshoes and wakes up Moomintroll to inform him Christmas is coming and complains about not even having a fir tree for it yet

Moomintroll shouting after the hemulen, asking "Who is Christmas?"

Moomintroll wakes up Snorkmaiden. Her first reaction, despite being none the wiser about who Christmas is: "Goodness!"

Moomintroll wakes up his parents, who promptly decide Christmas is something terrifying and that the fir must be to protect them from it

On their way back home from finding a fir, Moominpappa and Moomintroll run into a friend who won't tell them what the tree is for, instead she exclaims she must hurry home, for she is yet to make all the food for Christmas. The Moomin family concludes this is so that Christmas won't eat them

Meanwhile in the Moominhouse, Moominmamma is tending to a nameless traveller, a tiny furry thing with bright blue eyes and a cute little backpack. Apparently they were cold and came in for tea before continuing their journey. Before they leave, they tell Moominmamma that the fir should be decorated as beautifully as possible. The Moomins believe that Christmas must be appeased in this way

They proceed to decorate the fir with random items found in the house, such as a teapot, a scale model ship, pearls, and kitchen utensils. At the treetop they put a red silk rose

Moominmamma also heard somewhere that there must be gifts. Everyone goes looking for gifts to give this mysterious Christmas. Snorkmaiden decides on a beautiful seashell, Moominpappa goes for a spoon bait that is "good-looking but not good for fishing", and Moominmamma gives Christmas a random picture book

When the evening comes, they sit outside wrapped in blankets by the fir with the food and the gifts under it. Moominmamma is hoping Christmas likes pumpkin pie. There's a montage of different houses in Moominvalley with a light in the window and a fir next to the houses mostly covered in snow (and when I say covered, I mean they're mostly under the snow, because that's how much snow they get in Moominvalley)

The Moomins are getting tired and wish Christmas would hurry up before the food goes cold and so that they can go back to bed (Snorkmaiden: "I'm getting too tired to be afraid of Christmas")

Then a group of tiny beings approach them. Upon seeing them, Moominpappa exclaims: "Christmas is coming!" (also, Moomintroll: "Who would've thought Christmas is so small")

The spokesperson of the group wishes them merry Christmas, and Moomintroll is wondering how come they think Christmas is merry. "That's just what you say" is the answer

The spokesperson explains they all have always wanted to see a Christmas tree up close. Moominpappa invites them to take a good look at it, and they step closer to gawk at the tree. They notice the presents and the food and are fascinated by them

Moomintroll whispers to Moominpappa: "I don't think they are Christmas"

After a while the Moomins decide it's been too long and that perhaps Christmas won't bother being mad at them so late at night, even if they were to give the fir, the food and the presents to the tiny beings, which is exactly what they do

Moomintroll nudges already sleeping Snorkmaiden. "Has Christmas come?" "No, but we're going back to bed"

After the Moomins have already gone inside, the tiny beings are rejoicing by the fir. One of them notes that they always thought there should be a star (instead of a rose) at the treetop. Then they notice an actual star twinkling on the sky above the fir

The narrator ends the episode: "The Moomins slept peacefully all night, and Christmas did not attack them! It must have gone somewhere else."

I simply don't want any of this to end up in front of eyes that just want to enjoy their ships 💖💖💖 if there is anyone who doesn't want to see opinions against t*d*d*ku, k*r*b*ku, or even iz**ch*ka, please don't read any further! Oh my goodness i hope this is all legible...

Anyways, hello!! Thank you so much for the ask!! I love talking about my opinion avkvmsocnaocjsoxks it also makes me really happy you like my blog 🥺🥺🥺 (I hope this answer doesn't ruin that avskvneognsocjs)

I'll start out by confirming that I'm not a multishipper. It makes me excited to see how the act of shipping itself can make others happy, but it's just not that way for me. I actually never read fanfic until I got into bnha (bkdk is just that powerful 😁😁) I'm actually...a little serious when i ship, or when i enjoy media, i analyze pretty heavily, so also, if that doesn't sound like anyone's cup of tea, i would once again recommend to stop reading and enjoy your day please!

I love analyzing characters and storylines and dynamics, but i will admit, I'm not a fan of most of the ships - not romantically. I think all the characters have interesting relationships to each other, all of the kids are great friends, and I love bonds and friendships so much 🥺🥺🥺

Those first two are perhaps the biggest, at least they definitely were the biggest when I first entered. Once i caught up, I didn't really understand the enthusiasm, but people have fun shipping, so that's nice! I think of those two as easy ships, if that makes sense? They're pretty simple, and easy to digest.

I personally am not a fan of romantic t*d*d*ku for a very specific reason; it feels weird to me for Todo to immediately fall in love with the first person who's ever shown him kindness (since his mother of course). Todo had never had any friends, nor any want for friends, obviously because of the abuse he faced as a child. Mido was his first exploration at a life outside of his father, a life he got to make for himself, it just doesn't feel right to me that he should immediately think "oh, is this romantic love? Is this the one and only for me?" Well, perhaps a teenager might think that way, but i don't think that's actually how he feels deep down, and I'm sure that's something a lot of us have to learn as we grow (I've definitely struggled with my own understanding of romance for the past 8 years). I think he still is trying to learn how to socialize and to make friends and to be a friend (and he's doing SUCH a good job!) But to immediately plunge into romance, which can be complicated, i don't think that would be right for him. I hope that makes sense! I know they're a very cute ship, which makes for fun! But again, I can be a little serious when i ship...

K*r*b*ku kind of falls into similar territory for me? Baku definitely had friends growing up, but he's seemed to always have trouble understanding his feelings and where he stands with others, causing trust issues. Kiri is really the first person he knew where he stood with, a person for him to be comfortable with and feel on equal ground, which i think is such a huge and positive role in his life, and i don't necessarily think that it needs to be romantic - for both of these, i think these relationships are incredibly important, to everyone involved, and making them romantic doesn't make them any more important!! In fact, i feel like them as friends actually can offer a more complex, interesting, and human dynamic between these characters, as sometimes people simply default to romance and then end up pushing for the same old tropes and ignore all the intricacies Horikoshi includes in his writing.

Again, I love Mido's friendship with Todo, and I love Baku's friendship with Kiri. I think these relationships are incredibly important, and friends are incredibly important. People who ship them are having fun, which is so lovely, and i hope they continue to have fun! I hope you personally find more fics about them that make you smile and brighten your day 💖💖💖

Iz**ch*ka is a little difficult, because they certainly are cute, separately and together. I thought they were cutest before Ura was told about her potential crush on Mido, when she was simply a source of bubbly energy and positivity that helped Mido open up and feel comfortable around other people. I feel though that, romantically, it's extraordinarily one-sided, and at this point, i have to wonder if they really are "end goal." End goal for shounen, of course, is hardly ever explicit ahzovndlfjsoxo but i feel like a better storyline for Horikoshi to take would be for Ura to realize that she's been confused, and these feelings haven't really been a positive experience for her. I've definitely gone through things like that as a teenager. Now, the ship can be very cute! They're basically the same person, and they're cute and bubbly! But again, it simply isn't for me.

I think Momjirou is very cute!! Of course, as a lesbian, i sense strong lesbian vibes from Momo, and strong bi vibes from Jirou, and I also saw the ship potential ever since the USJ attack - which i think, so did everyone else ahaovndofjsojfsk they're best friends without a doubt, though i have to say, i really like Kamijirou. She just makes him so soft, and he's so in awe of her, and she thinks he's so funny, I love how supportive he is of her, especially since she can be really insecure 🥺🥺🥺

I also think Ura and Tsu are very cute but another easy ship, and i kind of really like Ochamina 🥺 they're both pink and space themed, they're bubbly and energetic and kick ass, and i think they'd be super cute...

I saved todobaku for last, because, you know what they say, best for last! 😇😇😇

I've said it before, but if there was no Mido (impossible obviously, and i would never want that) then todobaku is where my heart would lie. Baku has never really been shown chasing after anyone except for Mido...and Todo, which really gets at my heart. There's a grudging respect there - very, very grudging ahakckdkfjskdk which i find very appealing! Todo is very important to Baku and he has also been able to show Baku some things about himself that he needed to question and reevaluate. Meanwhile, Todo puts up with exactly 0% of Baku's shit, which i find absolutely hilarious. It's funny to me how Baku wishes to intimidate Todo as he does everyone else, and Todo simply does not care. And Baku wants to be mad, and ends up mad that he can't be mad since Todo is a strong and worthy opponent. They just have such an interesting chemistry, there's so much friction, so much tension, and I enjoy it, particularly since they clearly should be friends, would be great friends, want to be friends, but Baku simply won't get over it 😂😂 I do prefer them as friends, but friends that are incredibly close, two people that understand each other on almost a telepathic level, two people that give each other shit while also refusing to take the other's shit.

I do agree that many people in this fandom seem to think their ship stands on some moral high ground? It could be a disconnect from the previous generations of fandom, or it could also be the growing mentality on this site that everything needs to be a battle of moral superiority, and also that what you like is part of your personality, and if someone doesn't like what you like, then they don't like you or that they think you're factually incorrect. I personally have stopped going into the bn/ha tag simply because I don't enjoy, well, many things i find there, and I'm happy with those that i follow. I've definitely seen hatred and invalidation for both LGBT ships and m|w ships, neither of which I'm comfortable with. I definitely don't go off tumblr for fandom stuff because there's practically no acceptance for any same gender ships, or any queer headcanoning, which, I'll be honest, makes me scared, as i am a very anxious person avdkvndkfje i do think it should be noted that we should be as accepting of cishet ships as we are of queer ships - no debate on this one - but again, you are right when you say that many cishet headcanons have been used to invalidate LGBT voices, and any and all allies must always be aware of this! It is much more often that queer voices are silenced, that queer ships are ridiculed, that queer shippers aren't allowed to enjoy or see themselves. And to anybody that doesn't want to be an ally... I haven't really read much of anything recently, let alone other ships, platonic or otherwise, because energy has been low for me for a long time. When Albus agreed to keep an eye on Newt Scamander, he never imagined he would fall in love with him.

Theseus was his former student; he was trying to capture a group of traffickers and was sure they'd go after his half brother. And since Newt was just a muggle, Theseus was completely sure he was going to be an easy target.

But Newt was more than just a simple muggle and Albus realized that as soon as he set foot in Hogwarts.

And now he's trying hard not to stare at him for too long, but Newt is absolutely beautiful and almost impossible to ignore.

Since there's a spell around the castle that prevents muggles from seeing Hogwarts like it truly is, Albus decides to put a charm on a pair of glasses and give them to Newt; he already knows about the existence of the wizarding world, after all, he's lived many years with Theseus.

But he looks even more cute with the glasses on and it's very difficult for Albus to focus on anything that is not Newt Scamander.

McGonagall finds that very irritating while Dippet seems to have the time of his life.

"You wizards are amazing," Newt comments when he sees Albus pouring tea in a cup using a spell and he has to admit he uses magic more often just to impress Newt. "Do you think the headmaster would allow me to see the creatures?"

Newt is a zoologist, one of the best, and he seems to be afraid of absolutely nothing. When Albus told him about dragons, Newt's eyes shone like he was a kid in a candy shop.

"I'll talk to him," that'd be against all the rules he knows, but Albus is absolutely weak when it comes to Newt Scamander.

The reason why Gellert storms into Hogwarts is because of a vision; he wants to make sure it never becomes true. His husband (because no matter what Albus says, they're basically married) can't kiss a muggle, why would he love a muggle? They are the most useless creatures on Earth.

He couldn't see the muggle in question very well, but he knows he's a muggle and that he has reddish hair.

It's late when he arrives at Hogwarts and he tries to use his power to find him; he's decided he's going to kill him and make it look like it's an accident. It's going to be easy actually, there are many things that could happen to a muggle in Hogwarts.

He tries to use his vision to locate him and Gellert finds out he's in the forbidden forest, but he can't feel Albus with him.

Why a muggle would be in one of the most dangerous areas of Hogwarts?

It doesn't take long for the dark lord to spot him, mostly because that man is happily caressing an unicorn and Gellert almost blinks in shock when he sees the creature perfectly comfortable around the muggle.

Of course the creature runs away as soon as it sees Gellert.

Clever thing.

"Oh!" The muggle turns around with those ridiculous glasses that make him look like the cutest thing Gellert has ever seen. He curses himself for that thought. "Please don't tell anyone I'm here, I'm not supposed to... At least not alone."

He doesn't care about rules apparently, which only makes Gellert like him even more.

"What is a muggle like you doing here?"

The man blushes to the tip of his ears and Gellert can't help but take a step closer, but he has no intentions of killing him now.

"I just wanted to see magical creatures," he mumbles. "My brother... half brother is a wizard and I've been reading the books he has on magical beasts. They're absolutely fascinating."

"It's dangerous for you to be here," Gellert surprises himself saying, he doesn't know why he has the urge to protect him. "There could be a... werewolf or a wampus roaming around."

"It'd be almost impossible for a werewolf to sneak in Hogwarts and wampus are native of America," the muggle says, no... this man with absolutely zero magic in his body is actually correcting Grindelwald, one of the most powerful wizards in the world. And then, he adds, with a smile that lights up his whole face: "Although that'd be incredible. I also want to see a dragon, perhaps if I convince Theseus..."

The muggle keeps talking, but it's difficult for Gellert to follow because the only thing he can think of is how perfect that muggle is.

It seems Albus still has good taste after all.

The dark lord keeps staring as the muggle gestures and talks until he stops and Gellert takes the opportunity to offer his hand.

"I'm Gellert."

"Newt Scamander," the muggle smiles shyly in return.

As soon as they hands make contact, Gellert has the vision he was waiting for: Albus, Newton and him in the same bed; their muggle is asleep in the middle of them and looks like he was made for that.

They're gonna keep him, Gellert decides in that precise moment. They're gonna take care of him and he'll be happy with them.

Could I please get some cuteness for a Witch of Life / Sylph of Blood relationship that started as moirallegiance but has been gradually turning into matespritship? Both are girls and pretty femme, and the Witch has wings. They're both kind of moon-themed as well.

*cries tears of joy* I’veonly had this ask in my inbox for over a month and I love these two ladies.

Anyway, I think yourWitch of Life wouldn’t notice these feelings at first, and would just assumethey were just weird pale feelings they had towards their moirail. I’m assumingshe found out what was really going on after trying to give the Sylph amakeover or something like that. While she’s seen her moirail wear makeup thousandsof times, there was something about being so close to her face and dustingpowers lightly on her face that make the Witch flush red, both literally and symbolically.Like, oh wow the Sylph is just… really hecking cute up close, you know? Likeshe’s always been pretty but she’s superpretty all of a sudden, in a way that makes the Witch’s stomach flip a little.Ever since then, the Witch picked up a hilariously embarrassing habit offluttering their wings very rapidly when they get those weird red feelingsaround their moirail, which the Sylph teases her about a bit but hasn’trealized the reason for the behavior. TheWitch feels really bad about it though, possibly ruining their moraillegiencefor the sake of some silly feelings, so they keep kinda quiet and hope nothingbad happens.

The Sylph of Blood, onthe other hand, realized quickly that they have some non-pale feelings for theWitch of Life and was terrified. Whatif confessing to her lead to them breaking up? What would happen to their friendshipgroup? What if they did actually get together but their friends thought badlyof them? Since they can’t ask their moirail about this, the Sylph picked up ahabit of faux-casually asking a friend or two that, in a completely hypothetical situation that no way reflects reality,would they be okay if two moirails became matesprits all of a sudden. Like you know, idk, for example me and theWitch of Life, wouldn’t that be weird haha? The less gullible friends willcatch on to what’s going on, but will shrug and assure the Sylph that this verymuch hypothetical situation would be okay. Though I really hope it becomes aninside joke for everyone that the Sylph of Blood is absolutely terrible at thisin the cutest way possible.

Since both of theselovely players are moon-themed, I’m going to assume that the moon is somewhatinvolved in the solidification of their matespritship. Maybe they were lyingtogether and watching the full moon when they decided to confess, or perhapsthey were stargazing and looking at lunar charts when one of them made a move.Hell, if they’re anything like the “lesbians are useless” trope that’s goingaround, in which lesbians are terrible at asking each other out, they mighthave to be pushed together by their friends and left alone at a romantic dinnerwith a glorious view of the crescent moon, a symbol of beginnings and such. Longstory short, when they do eventually realize that their feelings are returned,there better be a lunar aspect to how it happened. Or if not, they can at leastwear matching moon rings or something!
