So this comes from an entire au where Martha Kane/Wayne and Martha Kent were childhood friends, and because of that Alfred and Bruce become close with the Kents after Thomas and Martha's deaths. Naturally instead of expanding on that story I made it 🔥
They're all in their mid/late 40s here, it's right after Bruce sets out on his training leaving the manor empty. It's literally just Alfred there so the Kents drag him out to the farm to keep him company. They get along as always, but the conversation eventually turns to how much Alfred misses the Waynes - something him and Martha really bond over. Late into the night they're still talking, and drinking, and Alfred reveals he actually hasn't been with anyone since Thomas and Martha. The Kents are like immediately shocked because that's?? Over a decade??? And they're like well. Um. Anything you need buddy. Sex ensues. Yay.

Thanks for the ask! Ooh okay, so Nothing Safe is Worth the Drive is essentially an Amazing Race AU where Buck and Eddie are best friends and co-workers, just like in canon. They have feelings for each other, but neither of them intend to act on those feelings for fear of them being unreciprocated, until they’re cast as a team on the Race. They try to play it cool and lean into their friendship, but the intense challenges, sleeping in close quarters and only having each other to rely on forces them to confront how they really feel about each other.
I have a rough cast and boot order, but a lot of that is subject to change. I haven’t started writing it yet, so unknown if it’s going to be a full-length season type thing like Thirty-Nine Days and The Perfect Match, or if it’s just going to be a one-shot or short fic of only 3-5ish chapters. Once Thirty-Nine Days is complete, I’ll probably be splitting time between writing this and the TND sequel.

Nicknames: C or Cait. My friends in college tried to make "Lynn" a thing, but it never really caught on.
Zodiac: At risk of doxing myself, I won't get that specific, but I do have a fall/winter birthday.
Height: 5'5"
Hogwarts house: Not a HP fan — from my understanding of the houses probably somewhere between Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, but who really knows?
Last thing I googled: "Things to do in Hawaii" (for a fic)

How much I sleep: Depends on the night — I have no trouble falling asleep, so if I have no reason to stay up, 7-9 hours easily. But the nature of my job means sometimes I have to stay up until 2am to meet a deadline, so in that case, it would be much less.

Dream job: I already have it! Won't reveal due to the aforementioned risk of doxing, but it's very fun and cool 😊

Favorite instrument: I don't play any instruments, but probably piano. I love listening to piano covers of songs on YouTube when I'm writing.

Favorite author: Agatha Christie. I'm dying to write a And Then There Were None/Whodunnit-type 9-1-1 AU fic at some point, but I doubt there would be much of an audience for it, given the copious amounts of character death that would be required 😔
