she's mine / Pedri González
Summary: Pedri x de Jong!female!reader - Enemies to lovers - Pedri can't help but feel more than hate towards his enemy. And he won't stand for it when it seems her attention is being given to anyone else but himself.
Warnings: censored swearing, reader is SO oblivious haha, I'M SO SORRY FOR THE CHEESY ENDING BUT IT FELT SO RIGHT OKAY, her being Frenkie's sister didn't end up becoming a part of the plot so sorry if you wanted it to be anon
Author's Note: Thanks so much for the request, and I hope you're doing well also. :)
Requested?: yup!
A gust of warm wind blows your hair in your face as you enter the Barcelona training pitch. You tuck it behind your ear as your eyes scan the green field, searching for someone.
You tell yourself you're looking for your brother, Frenkie, but your eyes only stop searching when they fall on Pedri. He's sitting on one of the coolers, talking with Robert Lewandowski and Sergi Roberto. You smirk and saunter over, slipping down to sit on the cooler next to him. "Hey. Why aren't you out there playing, Pedri?" you say with a condescending smile.
His head snaps over to look at you, and his jaw visibly clenches as he demands, "Where did you come from? You weren't there a second a-"
"Maybe you just weren't paying attention, idiot. I didn't know you were that unaware of your surroundings..."
"Would you stop?" he snarls, gently shoving you. "Why are you always here, anyway? Do you think you have rights to walk right on in just because you're Frenkie's sister?"
You shrug cockily. "Pretty much. Everyone loves me, including Xavi. You're the only idiot that doesn't."
At this, Sergi (mysteriously) gets up and says, "I'll leave you two to fight this one out."
Robert nods and follows close behind, calling over his shoulder, "Don't be too aggressive with each other now!" You hear a snicker in the more experienced player's voice, which only fuels you more to bug Pedri.
"You aren't being too aggressive," you turn back to Pedri. "What kind of weak shove was that, anyway?"
"I just didn't shove you any harder because you're delicate and weak." He glanced up, meeting your eyes as he added, "Shame you've got no boyfriend to take care of your damsel self."
"Oh, for f***'s sake! Shut up- you know you're pulling crap out of thin air now!"
"That's what you do every single argument we have," Pedri comments with an eye roll. He bends down to tie his shoe, but then looks up, meeting your eyes again in that annoying way, and says, "Wait, you have a boyfriend?!"
"Don't say it like that!" you snap. "I don't, but I don't need one. I'm just fine without a stupid man to boss me around!"
He snorts and comments softly as he stands up, "I wouldn't say I'm stupid, and I certainly wouldn't boss you around..."
"Huph! Yeah, right!" you snap, the intention of his statements blowing straight over your head. "I bet you'd be the worst of them all! My God, no woman deserves an ass like you! Sure hope you never get a girlfriend- any would be too good for you."
"So sharp with your comebacks!" Pedri looks back. "But you use the same ones every time. You're so predictab-"
"Hey, Pedri."
Both of you look up to see Gavi sauntering over to the two of you. He pulls a water bottle from the cooler Pedri just stood up from and tells him, "Quit all the chit-chatting, for God's sake. Break time is done for you, Pedri."
"Yeah!" you grin, calling after him as he sulks away, "Lazy!"
Some days later, you walk down the hallway of the training centre. You're waiting for Frenkie, since you're going with him to visit with him and Mikky and some friends after training, when suddenly your nerves are hit simply by a familiar voice calling behind you, "Hey, Y/n..."
You swivel around to meet the obnoxious brown eyes of none other than Pedri. Your jaw clenches, but you're always ready to pick a fight with him- especially if he's up for it.
There's a flash of emotion in his eyes, and all the sudden he goes from walking toward you to being right in front of you. Your back hits the wall it's facing, and you gasp as the scent of his cologne fills your nose. You open your eyes slowly to see only Pedri's eyes. You exhale slowly. He's got you here, with his hands leaning on the wall behind you. You can't read him- you can't tell if he's about to slap you in the face or playfully tease you. All you know is that your nose is about six centimeters from the face of your rival, whom you've hated on a countless number of times.
"What the hell?" you snap. "What's your problem?"
"You know what you did!" he snaps right back, his eyes flashing again.
"What did I do?" you ask innocently as you replay all the rude comments about him and obnoxious tricks played on him.
"You know!" he says, jabbing his elbow into your shoulder- not enough to hurt, so you don't bother with him. He's a coward. He never really hurts you.
You smirk, eyebrows raised, and say, "Was it the chewing gum in your football boot or the 'Kick Me' sign on you last away game?"
"It was the gum-! Wait, 'Kick Me' sign?!"
At this, you break into hysterical laughing at his frightened face. You laugh and laugh, until you finally get out, "You take yourself so seriously, and that's why I know stupid pranks like this really will work in getting under your skin!"
"Tell about the 'Kick Me' sign!" He actually looks quite nervous.
"I managed to give you a 'friendly' pat on the back before you walked the red carpet to the hotel. All the away fans saw. I guess after getting a high-five from their hero, Pedri, they saw he would've rather been kicked in the ass!"
"Wait, it was on my ass?" His eyes widen, and you laugh more, practically wheezing now as Mr. Tough Man is getting dethroned- again. By you, as always.
"No! Lower back, idiot. I guess someone must have taken if off of you before you noticed, and didn't tell you because your pride is so delicate..."
"...Is not!" Pedri snapped, shoving you softly again. "Anyway, the f***ing gum on my expens-"
But you interrupt, showing you really couldn't care less. "Why don't you shove me harder, huh? Weak."
His face twists. "If I did, you might fall over. Clumsy."
"Oh, yeah? Am I? Am I clumsy, or are you just too scared to hurt a woman? Well, I'm not too scared to hurt a man, and I'm also not slamming men into walls to assert my dominance!"
Pedri gapes a little, which feeds your mean-spirited ways.
You grin, and suddenly shove him away. He stumbles back, and reaches back to steady himself on the opposite wall of the hallway.
"Alright, I've f***ing had it with you!" he barks, reaching for you. But you grab his wrist, twisting it. He, with his other hand, clutches the collar of your shirt, and you raise your fist, about to hurl it at his-
Suddenly, another hand grips your wrist, mid air.
Both your's and Pedri's heads flip to the new presence and rest your eyes on the younger Gavi.
Pedri's hand slips off your collar in unison with your hand slipping off his wrist.
Gavi sighs and walks past, in the middle of the two of you, calling behind, "You two, always fighting like cats and dogs! Won't you ever leave each other be? It's starting to get out of hand, with you two wrestling in the halls, and all."
You watch awkwardly as Gavi walks away, both feeling called out at how foolish you were acting.
You sit next to Gavi, swiveling back and forth on a bar stool, in a club. You sip your drink, looking down, because of the slight headache you're starting to obtain from the flashing lights around you, when suddenly someone sits on the other side of you. You look up, seeing that it's none other than Pedri. Again. Now you sit between Gavi and Pedri, and ask obnoxiously to Pedri, "Why are you here?"
He smirks, his eyes glimmering in the flashing lights. "I was here all along. But I could be asking you the same thing, baby."
You snort as Gavi looks over with unimpressed raised eyebrows at Pedri.. "Baby? Your insults are getting worse and worse every day," you remark back snidely, taking the name in a completely different way than most people- including Gavi- probably would.
Who knows how Pedri meant it?
Pedri falters for just a moment, and a strange look of slight confusion and maybe... disappointment?... flashes across his face, before he blinks away the dazed look and replaces it with that stupid smirk again. "You're a stupid baby because I don't think you can handle..." He gently takes your glass from your hand, and it's so sudden, you just watch him do it. "...that."
You glare. "What the hell, Pedri?" you snap. "I'm not anywhere near drunk! Give that back!"
He lifts the quarter full glass above his head, but leans his face close to yours and mutters, just loud enough for you to hear over the blasting party music, "Make me."
You glare more fiercely and snarl, "You know full well I'm capable of beating your ass! Now give me the glass!"
His grin just grows wider, and it annoys you that, for whatever twisted reasons, he's genuinely having fun. Enjoying himself. When you tease him or play pranks on him, you guess you have some fun, but it's mostly just about going out of your way to make his life harder because he's annoying. But he's genuinely having fun right now. Anyone could see that much.
The nerve!
You grab at Pedri, trying to wrestle the drink down, but fail, and just end up stumbling into him. He laughs and very gently elbows you, saying, "Be careful, baby. You've got no prince to catch you if you fall..."
"I don't even get your jokes anymore!" You say in frustrated annoyance. You grit your teeth and double back, ready to ram yourself to his stomach, but suddenly stop yourself when two hands grip your shoulders, and a body slips in between your's and Pedri's. "Gavi!" you say in exasperation. "Stop doing that!"
"You guys stop doing this! These arguments are getting out of hand, for God's sake!"
Pedri sighs, setting your glass down, but says, "It's really none of your business, Gav-"
"It is when you constantly do this with me and every-f***ing-one else around! It becomes our business!" He sighs witha little grunt, sitting back down. You swipe your drink off the table and sit back down next to Gavi, saying, "I'm sorry, Gavi... You see, Pedri's just so stupid..."
"Yeah, yeah, I know," Gavi rolls his eyes.
And little to either Pedri or you know, but the gears in Gavi's brain start spinning.
You sit on the bleachers, typing something up, enjoying the sunshine, when you hear footsteps. You sigh, knowing it will be Pedri approaching, but refuse to look up.
So you're surprised when Gavi says, "Hey, Y/n."
You look up and watch as Gavi sits close next to you, putting his arm around your shoulders. You don't think much of this, and don't mind that Gavi sits with you for a while, just chatting about whatever. He speaks softly, making the conversation personal. You respond in your regular tones, because why would you do anything different?
For weeks after this incident, Gavi keeps doing things like this, and, strangely, you've realized Pedri's been bothering you less. And you've been bothering him less.
But he keeps sending you the most venomous glances, it's almost worse than his occasional antagonizing.
Gavi's been getting kind of touchy with you, and you're not sure why, but you assume it's just because... you don't know. But you figure there must be a good, normal reason for it.
So you don't mind it. You enjoy your talks.
Today, you sit on the grass next to Gavi. You can't tell if it's just in your head, but you keep catching Pedri's eyes. And he doesn't look happy.
Well, Gavi's sitting quite close to you, so your shoulders are bumping, and has an arm around you, gently touching your lower back. You watch as Pedri starts walking towards you, and automatically a soft sigh escapes your lips.
Right then, Gavi gently slips his hand onto your thigh.
Automatically, your muscles clench, but you don't even look at Gavi.
Because you're watching Pedri.
He looks livid.
You swallow, and glance to Gavi, but as soon as you do, Pedri reaches him, knocks his hand off your thigh, doesn't even glance to you, and says directly to Gavi, "Come with me."
His tone is hard and cold.
Gavi stands up a little too casually (which seems to just feed Pedri's anger even more) and follows Pedri without a fight.
You stare, watching them go, in kind of a shock.
Once they're gone, you give it a minute or so, before standing up and immediately following. Snooping and eavesdropping are not below you. Can't hurt a girl for being curious, right? Besides, you've become pretty good at not getting caught.
You slowly walk down the stairs into the building, light on your feet, and peek behind every corner, listen through every door.
Finally you freeze when you hear voices, coming from behind a closed door. You lean against the wall slowly, intently listening, and grin softly when you can make out the sentences, before your face becomes serious again.
Gavi is saying, "...you've been the nicest person to her anyway!"
Pedri growls (which makes you swallow nervously), "But it's like you're taking her... She doesn't even like you... I saw the look on her face... Get your hands off of her, anyway... She's mine."
Your eyes furrow in confusion. Clearly he's talking about you, but what does this all mean...? Whatever it does, it certainly makes you feel a little angry, along with the utter uncertainty.
"Yeah? Why haven't you gone for it, then? Shoot your shot? You've just been being rude to her to get her attention without even showing how you really feel- I went about it in the-"
"She doesn't like you!"
"Yeah? Prove it?" Gavi says, just as fiery as Pedri himself, but it sounds a little different. You can't place your finger on what's different about Gavi's tone, though, from Pedri's...
There's a few seconds of silence, before a huff and a smaller comment from Pedri: "But I bet I like her more than you."
"Then prove it. I don't believe you."
"How the hell-"
"Whoever pulls her first."
You stare ahead, eyebrows knitted together.
And suddenly it clicks in your brain that was so opposed to believing anything even close to that, and it all makes sense.
All the stupid comments from him.
This conversation itself.
His dumb nicknames.
Has Pedri really... felt that way... all along?
Then why has he been acting like that?
There's silence between the boys, too, as you consider these things.
And, suddenly, you hear the doorknob turn, and your stomach drops to your knees. You try to swallow down a lump in your throat, looking for anywhere you can go to hide so that they don't see y-
"Y/n-!" Pedri stares at you, frozen.
Oh God. What... What is he going to do? Pick a fight, walk away? Lash out on me or Gavi? Pretend nothing happened?
He whispers, "You heard all that..."
You don't respond. And you're not sure if you could, even if you tried to, anyway.
But he does the most unlikely thing. The thing you weren't ever expecting.
Maybe someone else would. Maybe your brain just doesn't work that way.
But suddenly he pulls you to him, in a half-hug kind of thing, his muscles soft, and whispers, "I'm sorry, but... Maybe this will convince you to give me a shot..."
Suddenly, before you can react, he pulls you into a steamy kiss. You gasp, shocked, and although you don't want it to be happening, you don't want it to stop. You stare ahead, but slowly find the strength to close your eyes.
He pulls away and mutters, "Anyway, let me explain now..."
But suddenly Gavi walks by, casually, a smug look on his face, and he says, "I would have done it differently, but with someone like Y/n, you never know, Pedri... I mean it's funny you two are so immature about the way you're going about this, when I'm younger than both of you."
"You-"
Gavi glances back and interrupts, "Oh, and by the way, it was all a show. I'm not really into Y/n, and I know she's not really into me. It was just to make you jealous. You know, so maybe you'd finally admit your damn feelings and quit bothering her so much. Looks like you still haven't done it though. I've leave you two to that."
Pedri starts gaping as Gavi saunters away, and you stand just as shocked, but for more things than what Pedri's shocked about.
"For God's sake, Gavi," Pedri mutters under his breath, turning back to you. "Well, anyway," he breathes. "I've got a lot to explain... And say sorry for."
"Why were you..." you trail off.
He snorts. "I thought you'd be into that. I thought you'd like that sort of attention."
"I might've..." you chuckle nervously. "If I understood what you were doing in the moment..."
All the sudden, those glimmering brown eyes look deeper than they did before. More complex. Interesting. Beautiful.
Captivating.
Perhaps even... enchanting?
You swallow, and find yourself gripping to his shoulders tighter- which you didn't even know you were holding onto until now.
Now he mutters, but it doesn't seem mean.
You would say it was sexy, if that didn't mean you'd be calling him sexy.
"I've got a lot of work before I can call you mine..." he swallows. Usually a comment like this would disgust you.
But the way he just kissed you makes you not dread, but anticipate (just very, very, very slightly) eagerly all that work he needs to do in order to call you his.
Well, in other words, that set off butterflies in your stomach you didn't even know existed.
And now he whispers, "Sorry if it's too soon, but... Can I kiss you again?"
You grin stupidly and remark, "Only if you're not a coward."
He leans in, and his lips meet yours once again.

Gavi keeps clinging to you, whispering into your ear while everyone else at the party is busy dancing and drinking.
“What if she doesn’t like me? What if I make a fool of myself when asking her out? What then?” he nervously asks and you hold back a tired sigh.
Ever since you’ve reached the Barca party with Pedri, Gavi has not left your side for one minute.
Your boyfriend went to greet some friends while Gavi stayed by your side, rambling on and on about his latest crush and all the fears and expectations he has towards her.
Something that you would consider sweet if he wasn’t literally chewing your head off with his persistent comments. From the other side of the room, you can feel Pedri’s heated glare on you.
You turn around with a smile, waving at him and hoping he’d see how impatient you were getting with Gavi but he doesn’t react, an expressionless mask on his face but his brows twist in annoyance as Gavi grabs your arm, trying to get your attention back to him and his problems.
You turn your face back, facing Gavi who stares at you with expectant eyes.
“Listen, you need to stop worrying so much about the future. If you keep thinking so negatively, then you’ll attract bad things.” Gavi opens his mouth to certainly contradict you, but you’re faster.
“I’m serious, Gavi. Just ask her out and you’ll see it’s much easier once you let your feelings out.” you say. Gavi slowly nods and he’s about to say something when suddenly a hand grabs your arm.
You yelp and you’re harshly pulled against a firm body. As you look up, Pedri stands there with a slightly irritated frown on his face as he looks at Gavi for a second.
The tension is so knife-cutting that you attempt to lighten things up.
“Hey, babe. What are y-”
Pedri’s lips crush against yours, his hand tangling up with your hair as he pulls you closer. The rest of the team whistles and applauds at the sudden display of affection, but Pedri doesn’t seem to mind it, which is very unusual of him.
He’s never been one to kiss you much in front of his teammates but neither has he been someone that easily caved in to his jealousy, like he has now.
When he finally pulls away, his brown eyes gaze at you, a smirk building up in his rosy lips and your heart skips a beat at how handsome he looks when jealous.
“Now everyone knows that you’re mine.”

Baby’s First Match • Pedri
Tumblr media
Child/Parent Prompt List v.2 • Number 1
“Our baby’s first match. I’m so excited. They’re following in my footsteps!”
“Our baby’s first match. I’m so excited. They’re following in my footsteps!” Pedri excitedly said and he was near enough bouncing on his toes as the two of you went to take a seat at the sidelines. He was a bit too excited for your son’s first-ever football match and you were slightly nervous that he would go and put a lot of pressure on your son. Not that Pedri was that kind of person but he’s so excited and knows what it takes to become a footballer so may try to push him however you know how competitive it can be and just want your son to enjoy it especially at this point. What is the point of doing it if it’s not fun?
“Don’t put any pressure on him, just let him enjoy the game,” You told Pedri as you looked at your son who was with the coach of the team and his friends. He was now 5 years old and getting ready for his first-ever match and you can remember the excitement in your son’s eyes the first time that he got to go to training and how much he babbled about it when he got home. He loved it and enjoys every minute of it but now there’s a competition for his age group you’re scared he’ll get more pressure and focus more on the competition aspect than the fun part. He’s young and should enjoy it.
“I promise you I won’t. It’s all fun,” Pedri said trying to reassure you just as the game kicked off. You’ll just have to see but you do trust Pedri.
Throughout the game, Pedri was relatively calm but when your son would get the ball and dribble with it Pedri would get up on his feet and excitedly scream and shout which would make you slightly embarrassed because eyes would turn to the two of you but Pedri didn’t care. His son was playing and he was going to be the embarrassing parent and support his child. If the other parents don’t like it then too bad because Pedri is going to show his support to his son and the team. Your son seemed to appreciate it though because he had this huge smile on his face throughout the whole game even when the other team scored and that made you relax because he wasn’t bothered that his team was losing. It wasn’t long until your son scored the first goal for his team though making the score equal and yes you did clap and cheer for him but Pedri was fully shouting and screaming like your son had scored the World Cup winner. At least he cared because some don’t.
That wasn’t the only thing that your son did during the game. At one point he got the ball from the other team before turning around and dribbling around and past about 5 players from the opposing team and managed to pass the ball to someone on his team who ended up scoring. Some football skills must be genetic but it must help that he has been doing this since he could walk and even before then when Pedri would pick him up and manoeuvre him to kick the ball. At that moment you knew Pedri wanted your son to follow in his footsteps and that’s why you somewhat thought your son may be doing this just for Pedri but seeing the way that your son was you knew that he wanted to do this too. You glanced at Pedri who was still watching your son like a hawk and had one of the proudest looks and biggest smiles on his face.
“He’s a natural,” Pedri spoke out to nobody in particular.
“He’s a mini you,” you replied but Pedri wasn’t listening by this point even though you responded near enough instantly. He was already screaming and shouting once again supporting your son who had the ball again. Looking at Pedri properly his cheeks were all red from all of the jumping up and down that he was doing your son also had really red cheeks from running around the pitch. He looked a lot like Pedri does during his own football matches. God he really was Pedri’s son.
As soon as the match finished your son instantly came running over to Pedri with the biggest smile on his face showing how much fun he had which made you feel a lot better. He wasn’t just doing this for Pedri he was actually enjoying it himself. Pedri instantly picked your son up and cuddled him close before pushing his hair back and away from his face, feeling how hot he was, Pedri knew that he needed to get out of the sun and cool down. He was still too active and bouncing around his arms, too much adrenaline still pumping around his small body.
“You see that papa. I scored and I- and I as-assis-assisteded one,” Your son babbled on like the two of you hadn’t watched the whole game. There is that energy. Also, that is much like Pedri. Pedri loves to ramble to you about games, especially ones that he did well in, and you just sit there and listen. It’s exactly what your son is doing now.
“I saw Osito you were so good. Did you have fun though?” Pedri asked him. From the look on his face he definitely had a lot of fun and this would be the main topic of conversation with whoever talks with him for the next week or so. It has been the conversation for the past week with his excitement about the game so now it was clear all he was going to talk about was playing in the game and scoring a goal as well as assisting one or as he put it ‘assisteded one’.
“Lots and lots.” Your son repeated over and over again clearly enjoying his first match.
“Do you want to do it again?” Pedri carefully asked. Pedri knew that his heart would break if your son said no and although it was obvious your son enjoyed it he could still say no. It was always important to ask and find out if he actually wanted to do it or not. Always give the child a choice and never force them.
“Yeah, can I?” Your son questioned all wide-eyed staring at Pedri begging him to bring him back for another game.
“As long as you’re having fun with it you can continue with it as long as you want,” You finally spoke up, placing a soft kiss against his head and your son just smiled brightly at you.
“I’m going to be better than Papa,” He said stubbornly as the three of you walked to the car. Pedri was still looking proud and you just wanted him to enjoy it all knowing that eventually the pressures of the sport will come especially with him being Pedri’s son. That’s why part of you never wanted your son to play the game because of the pressures of him being Pedri’s son but if he wants to do it you’re not going to stop him you’ll just make sure he does truly enjoy it.
“Yeah, you can tell that from your first-ever match?” Pedri joked with him and your son just nodded before laying his head against Pedri’s shoulder, the game obviously tiring him out and the adrenaline was now finally wearing off. The three of you made your way home and hopefully all of this exercise would mean your son would manage to go to sleep easily tonight. Highly unlikely though due to the excitement.

Pedri- Just another day at work
A/n: this is based on when Pedri met Joan Mir the motogp rider, if you don't know who/what that is you can ask me anything as I love the sport
wc: 2700+
Being entirely responsible for the social media of a motogp team is a lot as it is let alone when they add an extra event to the schedule but that's exactly what they have gone and done. In the midst of pre season testing the team have had to fly to Barcelona for some special event with Joan and a guest who I haven't been told about. Since finding out about this extra media day I haven't been too happy as it just involves a whole load more work for me and sometimes the people they bring can be extremely rude which I have learnt from experience. Safe to say these things aren't my favourite but I have to go and I will put on a smile the whole time.
Arriving at the circuit felt really weird as it was so quiet it was almost creepy as usually the paddock is full of people running around at all times but today it was pretty much deserted. When I made it to the garage we were using there was only a few people there but they were all waiting as the person we were filming with was yet to arrive. Despite me asking many times still no one would tell me who it was and none of the other crew knew either so we all sat and speculated who it could be based on the fact that we were in Barcelona. Many names were thrown around but most of them were footballers as of course the Barcelona football club is a big deal. Half of the people the crew suggested I'd never heard of and the ones I had I didn't think it would be as they are too famous to be here for the day.
After a while of speculating there was a bit of commotion out the back of the garage so all of us stood up and finally a few people walked in. To start with I had no idea who the guy was as I hadn't seen him before but one of the crew quickly told me he was an up and coming Barcelona player named Pedri. That didn't really bother me but what did was the fact that I thought he was so attractive I'm not sure exactly what it was about him but instantly my brain was flooded with thoughts about how attractive he was. Those thoughts had to be pushed to the back of my mind pretty quickly though as he came round to introduce himself to everyone which was very nice of him as usual the people who come don't do that. When he got to me I expected him to just shake my hand like he did with everyone else put he pulled me into a hug which made me blush but I think I managed to hide it pretty well.
Once everyone had introduced themselves we went through the schedule for the day and then got to work. The first thing we were going to do was film videos so I went to set up all the cameras and everything on the track which didn't take me too long as I got the cameras ready while waiting earlier. Barcelona wanted to do a 7 second challenge so we filmed that and I just got to sit and watch as the guys both had cards with the challenges on them so I didn't have to be doing anything other than making sure the cameras were working. The hardest part was trying not to laugh as the both of them were absolutely useless at the game but I managed to keep it together but my cheeks started to hurt from smiling so much by the end.
When we were done with filming we had a load of other things to do so I grabbed my other two cameras so that I could take pictures and film little bits to put together at a later date. First Joan got his leathers on and did a few laps around the track so I filmed him and Pedri but mostly Pedri because well I can and because his reactions seemed like a better thing to film. We did some more content with the normal bike before getting the motogp bike out of the garage. Pedri put on some of Joan's leathers and they played football together which I took pictures of although I was a little scared for getting hit by the ball. It was fun watching them mess around and I got a lot of good pictures of the both of them and Pedri which I'm excited to edit later.
Just when I thought we were done I was told I needed to go to the ranch where Joan trains on the dirt track to take more pictures. That was a problem because I don't live in Barcelona so have a hotel room near the track and walked here this morning so I have no way of getting to the ranch. Seeing as its just a dirt track none of the engineers needed to go so it was just me that needed to figure out a way there. While walking out of the paddock I was trying to phone a taxi but none of them wanted to come to the circuit so I was stuck having to walk so then I started looking at maps to find out where I needed to go. It was going to take me a while but it was my only option if I wanted to get there at all. Just as I was leaving I was stopped by a tap on my shoulder which made me turn around to see Pedri.
"Hey I overheard you on the phone earlier do you want to ride with me to the ranch?" He asked
"Oh um if thats alright then yeah that would be great" I replied getting nervous all of the sudden
"It's no problem" he said
I thanked him and we went over to his car which was a little green mini which wasn't what I was expecting as I thought he'd own some big expensive sports car but no he just had a regular car. He opened the passenger door for me which again took me by surprise but I thanked him anyway and got in the car. While he was driving we got to talking and I learnt a bit about his journey to play at Barcelona but also about him as a person and he asked about my life so I told him a bit about myself. Even once we arrived we just kept talking and laughing with each other which was so nice especially as I was nervous about him being rude but he's the complete opposite in real life.
We kept talking to each other until everyone arrived and was ready which is when I had to go back to work so I got my cameras and started taking pictures of Pedri watching Joan out on the dirt track. At some point I felt that I got enough pictures so I put my cameras away and just stood with Pedri to watch what was going on. He was asking me all sorts of questions about motogp and what Joan was doing even though I really don't know too much as I just do media during the season so don't know anything about the training process. It was fun to talk about my job though as I truly do love it and the sport so it was great getting to share that with someone.
The two of us watched for ages until it started to get cold as the wind began to get up which is when I regretted not bringing a jacket out with me but it was too late now. Once I got cold I couldn't think of much else which Pedri must have noticed as he took off his jacket and put it around my shoulders. I tried to refuse it and give his jacket back but he insisted as he didn't want to me to get cold. As he put the jacket back on my shoulders his hand grazed my skin which instantly sent shivers down my spine and made goosebumps appear all over my skin. The feelings I have for him and the amount that just a simple touch from him affects me is really bad because we were only supposed to work together for one day but now I want to see more of him. The worst part about it is that there is absolutely no way he would ever think the same way about me I mean he could have any girl he wanted being that attractive and a successful footballer so there's no way he would want me.
Pedri and I stayed for a bit longer before he offered to drive me back to my hotel which I accepted as it saved walking and it was a way to spend more time with him. Walking back there was a lot more people around the ranch as we weren't using it to film anymore so there was other people there to train. I'm used to the busy paddock during a race weekend but this was different every few seconds you had to watch out for a bike or a person which meant having to weave through the crowds. I kept losing Pedri when groups walked across my path so when I found him again he grabbed hold of my hand and led me through the crowd until we got to the car park. Even once out of the crowd he kept hold of my hand as we just walked next to each other he only let go once we got to his car as he used it to opened the door for me again.
The drive was pretty quiet as we just listened to music we listened to some of his favourite songs and some of mine to compare music tastes. His taste was different from mine but all of the songs he played I would definitely listen to again and who knows he may he's converted my tastes. When we made it back to my hotel I gave him his jacket back and then just stood in front of him staring. I didn't want him to leave but I couldn't think of anything to say that could get him to stay that didn't sound weird or like I was being desperate which I definitely don't want. He didn't say anything either and I could tell he was thinking but I couldn't tell what it was about. I didn't have much longer to contemplate it though as he broke the silence.
"Would you mind if I look at the pictures you took today?" He asked
"Of course not if you're ok with it you can come to my room and check them out" I said trying to act like I wasn't freaking out inside
He followed me up to my room and just stood next to the bed while I sat down and got my laptop out to transfer the pictures across. To try and make things less awkward I patted the bed next to me and he finally sat down and started to lean across to see the pictures on my screen. Like any photoshoot some of the pictures didn't come out great but he complimented every single one of them anyway. He was so interested that I decided to show him a few of the things I will do to edit the pictures but not everything as that would take too long but he was still so mesmerised at what I was doing. After doing a few I gave him the laptop and showed him how to do it and sure it didn't turn out perfect but I will definitely be keeping that picture for a long time. Once I had showed him how to edit and showed him a few that I'd done previously but that hadn't been posted yet I put my laptop down and just sat next to Pedri.
"Do you have any plans for this evening?" Pedri asked
"No other than maybe some editing" I replied
"Then would you like to go get some food with me of course you don't have to if you don't feel comfortable I get that" he started to ramble
"I'd love to just let me get changed first" I interrupted him
I got up and grabbed some other clothes from my little suitcase although I don't really have anything nice to wear as I mostly packed comfy clothes because when I didn't have work clothes on I thought I'd be traveling. Internally I was cursing my past self for not thinking that I might want to go out somewhere but then I realised that never in a million years would I have thought that I'd be in this exact situation. Somehow I managed to find something that wasn't too bad and luckily I had brought some makeup so I put some on quickly which definitely helped me not look as awful. When I was ready I left the bathroom and Pedri was waiting for me by the door so I grabbed my bag and we headed out together.
He drove us to a restaurant I'd never heard of before but that's no surprise as I don't spend much time in Barcelona but when we got inside I found another reason I had never heard of it and thats because it was incredibly fancy. Right away I felt out of place in there especially when people looked at me as we walked to our table but I tried to ignore it as I wanted to enjoy my time with Pedri. Once we sat down and got to talking I forgot all about how uncomfortable I was as Pedri had all of my attention to the point that I barely even noticed the waiter coming to give us our food. We ate and talked for a bit longer before he got the bill and I tried to pay at least half but he insisted that he pay as he invited me out so I didn't fight it too much as I knew he wouldn't give in.
Getting back to the hotel again I knew we would have to say goodbye to each other this time as it was getting dark and he had his life to get back to and I have a flight early in the morning. I really didn't want him to leave as I've loved spending time with him and as much as I don't want it to be this way I know we won't get to spend time together like this again. The both of us were just looking at each other stood in the doorway of my hotel room which probably looked strange to anyone walking by but to me it was a nice moment.
"I've loved today thank you for helping me out earlier and paying for dinner" I said breaking the silence
"Its all good I've just loved spending time with such a beautiful girl" he said complimenting me for the first time
"I'm flattered that you think I'm pretty in probably the worst clothes I own" I joked
"I'm being serious you looked gorgeous all day today from the second I saw you I knew I wanted to get to know you thats why I'm still here" he admitted
"I know you don't live here and we won't see each other often but I can't not see you again so can I have you number and maybe arrange a proper date?" He asked
"Of course I'd love that" I replied with the biggest smile on my face
We swapped phones and put our numbers in before finding a few days that the both of us aren't as busy and agreed to see each other again but until then he promised to FaceTime me at least a few times a week which I'm more than happy with. After arranging everything he pressed a kiss to my cheek before leaving to go home which left me stood in my hotel room wondering how all of this just happened and how my life could get any better.

It was the fourth Tuesday in a row that you ate alone in your apartment. The fourth time Gavi had skipped out on your plans last minute, sending a quick half-hearted text about one event or the other.
The first time it was because Coach had asked Gavi to stay after practice, keen on teaching him the perfect one-touch shot. Then it was a missed dinner because Jordi Alba had invited him out with some other players, and he just couldn’t say no, because he was finally starting to feel like a part of the family - like the older players had finally started to respect him.
Of course you hadn’t minded the first few times, he had been apologetic enough, promising you that he would be there next time, but each next time took on the next week, and soon the prospect of next time didn’t hold as much meaning anymore. You were accustomed to reading those words by now, and you rarely took time to read over the dwindling text messages anymore, eyes only scanning for those two words, the ones that had become a staple in your relationship.
Next time.
Next time you would cook dinner for him and he would be there to eat it. Next time he would tell you he loved you in person, rather than getting an impassive ‘sorry cariño’. The thought of next time, which once seemed like a lifeline to you, had become a dull reminder of the boy who was just on the other side of the city, only a measly train ride separating you both. Yet the distance seemed much greater.
But now the football season was drawing to a close, and instead of being excited at the notion of having more time to spend together, you felt uneasy and on edge, almost as if you were waiting for the other shoe to drop, something to come up, making the distance between the two of you that much more tangible.
You felt your phone buzz next to you and your eyes unintentionally went to the clock.
9:45 pm.
The texts were getting later and later each time.
You already knew what awaited you, but you couldn’t help but scan the message regardless.
“Can’t come tonight, only have a few days till the season ends and the guys wanna make the most of it. Be there next time. Noche.”
There it was again, that unexplainable feeling in your chest, like your heart was always one step ahead of your brain, preparing for the loss of something that hadn’t yet left. Your mind was an incomprehensible mess, a jumble of contrasting thoughts and memories, forcing you to overthink situations and undervalue your emotions.
You lifted your head watching your roommate land with a thump on the couch beside you, “He canceled again, didn’t he?”
You opened your mouth, an excuse on the tip of your tongue.
She held up her hand, “Don’t try to defend him. He knows it isn’t fair.”
You avoided her gaze, “You don’t get it. He’s really in demand and-”
“It doesn’t matter that he’s famous or a professional athlete, that doesn’t discredit his actions, or put the blame on anyone but him.”
She continued, “Look Gavi’s a good guy, I like him,” you stared at her, “I do! But he’s stupid if he doesn’t realize that he’s losing you. I know you, and while you might make excuses for him now, I know that sooner or later you’re going to notice that he hasn’t been treating you like you deserve, and you’ll be smart enough to leave.”
You felt the impact of her words full force, like a sledgehammer beating into your body. All the signs were there, right in front of your face, and you had been turning a blind eye, not wanting to admit what your heart already knew.
You knew it. The distance you had felt hadn’t been in vain – every day you could feel the connection between the two of you chip away, so small, you wouldn’t think to notice it till you stood back and looked at the bigger picture.
As a result of both your busy schedules, you both had come up with the idea of having Tuesday night, the most boring day of the week as agreed on, reserved for just the two of you. On Tuesday you didn’t have classes that ran well past dinner time or have to pick up late-night shifts at the restaurant, and he didn’t have evening practice. It was perfect. Tuesday was yours.
Except it had been four weeks since you’d had a proper conversation with Gavi, and you couldn’t help but see the difference in your relationship when you first got together, both eager and determined to spend as much time together as possible, to now, where even if you attended his games, you two still managed to get away without speaking.
You shook your head, “I-I need to take a walk.”
She reached over placing a hand on your shoulder, “Y/n. I’m sorry-”
You shook it off, standing up, “No it’s ok, it’s not your fault. I just need to clear my head.”
You felt the cool night breeze hit you as you walked the streets of Barcelona. It was unusually quiet in this part of town, the lights from the main strip didn’t reach this far out, and for a moment the quiet reminded you of your hometown.
If you closed your eyes, it was almost like you were fifteen again, back in your childhood bedroom, before the ideas of pretty boys with big brown eyes and the weight of managing both university and a job plagued all your thoughts.
You reached a lookout point, the top of the hill dropping to show you the expansive city below. You stared out, the buildings looked so small up here, barely more than a glowing dot in the dark, the cars a blur of soft yellow. You wondered which tiny dot Gavi was in. You wondered if he had checked his phone, seeing that you hadn’t texted him back like you usually did. You wondered if he even cared.
You shook your head trying to get rid of the unwanted thoughts.
Your relationship with Gavi was good. He made you laugh like nobody else, whispering secrets in each other’s ears like schoolchildren, making forts out of old sheets in his childhood bedroom when you met his family for the first time. You remembered his sweet smile, the way his eyes would crinkle unintentionally when he couldn’t hold back his excitement or happiness. You remembered confiding in him about school, how you were so stressed because you couldn’t manage eighteen credits while simultaneously holding a job that required you to be on your feet for hours at a time. You could still feel the soft caress of his hand, as he squeezed yours, providing you comfort, cracking a badly executed joke here and there just to get you to smile while listing a hundred reasons why if anyone could do it, it would be you.
So, if he made you feel all those things, why did his absence make you feel so tiny, so insignificant?
Your finger hovered over the call button, and you hit it hesitantly.
You just wanted to hear his voice.
That would be enough.
It rang seven times before the line went dead.
It took you a moment to realize you hadn’t put your phone up to your ear, waiting with bated breath for the timer on the screen to start, indicating he had picked up, but it never did.
You stuffed your phone back into your pocket, the same unsteady feeling in your heart strumming.
Once.
Twice.
Then it was gone.
You came home to a quiet apartment and your roommate already asleep.
You shuffled into your room silently, you would give it one more week you decided. Next time would be the last.
The next week came, and while it was the first week Gavi had off from training, he had already planned to go to Ibiza to attend a music festival with his hometown friends. He had invited you, but it was more of an afterthought, and you couldn’t find it in yourself to go because of rushed ‘you can come if you want’ and a barely there apology so you left it.
You got an ‘I’ll miss you’ text from him and for a moment it made you smile, filling you with warmth. However, an ‘I miss you’ only did so much, and other than his sweet messages, there was really no intent behind his words.
Now it had been two days since Gavi had gotten back from his Ibiza trip, and you couldn’t hide the surprise on your face when you glanced over and saw a Facetime call from Gavi.
When was the last time the two of you had Facetimed? Maybe two months ago? It was much easier to send a text, the times both of you were free were few and far between.
You answered the call, pushing your textbook to the side. The dark grey interior of Gavi’s car greeted you.
“Hello?” You asked.
“Hey, Y/n long time no talk.” Gavi joked, but you felt your stomach flip at the truth behind his words.
“I can’t see you.” You said.
“Oh shit, did I accidentally Facetime? My bad I told Siri to call and she must have Facetimed instead. Let me call you.”
You went to speak but heard the three beeps indicating the call had been cut.
You heard the phone ring again and bit back a sigh. You just wanted to see his face.
You answered on the second ring.
“Hey sorry about that. I wanted to call and tell you that I’m back from Ibiza.”
“Yeah, I know.” You admitted, “I remembered.”
There was a beat of silence.
“Well, anyways I wanted to ask you to come with me to the Spanish football gala tomorrow.”
“Tomorrow?”
You heard some shuffling and suddenly Gavi’s voice was much clearer and closer to the phone. You assumed he took it off speaker.
“Can you not come?”
You hesitated, “Uhm I’m not sure. It’s so last minute and I’m already scheduled at the restaurant tomorrow.”
“Can’t you just take off?” He persisted.
You felt your brow furrow, “I’m already on the schedule, I can’t just decide to take off the day before, I need to find someone to replace me.”
“Ok, tell whoever that I’ll sign a jersey for them if they do.”
You suddenly felt angry. Why did he think that you could only get a day off work if he helped you out? Were you not capable of handling your own situations? You hated feeling like this, like you weren’t even your own person, just a shadow of who you were with.
“No that’s fine. I’ll just take off like you said, simple.” You couldn’t help but let the bitterness seep into your voice.
He went to say something, probably sensing the shift in your mood, but you cut him off, “I have to go. Bye Gavi.”
You hung up before he could respond.
Finding someone to replace your shift was easier said than done, but after some back and forth, and a promise to Marcus to cover his next two shifts, you were free.
Free to prance around in a hall filled with people you barely knew, with a boy who you thought about more in your memories than you saw in real life.
The night of the gala arrived, and you were decked out, wearing the earrings Gavi had gifted you for your one-year anniversary paired with a necklace you had received after graduating high school.
Gavi had originally said he would pick you up but had sent a quick text earlier in the morning explaining that the team was getting ready together at a hotel, and to just meet him at the venue.
Your roommate had agreed to drive you and you gave her a grateful smile as you got in the car.
“Ana thank you for taking me.”
She brushed the comment off playfully, “No problem. Gotta step up when Gavi steps down.”
You let out a short laugh, “My hero.”
You got to the venue a couple of minutes before you had planned to meet Gavi and nervously walked around, staying out of the path of cameras.
You found someone to take you to a tent where some Barca staff were waiting for the players to start the program.
You walked in, a surprised look taking over your face once you noticed Pedri and a few other players in the corner.
You weren’t aware that some of the players from the hotel had arrived yet.
Pedri noticed your entrance and came over to say hello.
You gave him a quick hug, making casual small talk.
Just ask him, a voice in the back of your head urged.
Finally, you bit the bullet, attempting to sound as casual as possible, “How did you guys get here so early? I thought everyone was leaving the hotel at 6.”
“Ehh, it wasn’t that important, so I skipped it. Half the guys didn’t go anyway, and the other half just went to play FIFA. Besides I beat them every time, so it gets a little boring after a while.”
You tried to laugh at his joke, but could only manage a watery smile, mind running a mile a minute.
So Gavi hadn’t actually needed to go but chose to.
Leaving you alone.
Again.
It wasn’t a big deal by itself. But it was the fact that this was just another item you could add to your ever-growing list of things Gavi cared about more than you. You wondered briefly if you had been wrong, and if he had missed some other event to be there with you, only to remind yourself that you hadn’t seen him in a month, so no, he hadn’t.
You were still grappling with your emotions when Gavi arrived, unsure whether to confront him or just let this be another thing you swept under the rug.
Your reunion, if you could even call it that, was lackluster at best. He had walked in with some of his teammates, immediately going to greet the rest of his team, completely ignoring you standing on the right side of the room with Pedri.
It was only once he asked where Pedri was that someone pointed the two of you out.
You felt your body deflate; he hadn’t even asked for you.
Were you overthinking things again? Maybe he had just forgotten in the excitement of seeing his whole team for the first time after the season ended?
Gavi made his way over to the two of you, reaching out to Pedri first. You watched as they exchanged a hug before Gavi’s eyes floated over to yours.
“Hey.” His voice was casual, like he was greeting a mailman, or thanking the cashier.
“Hi.”
You closed the space, attempting to hug him, but he grabbed your shoulders stopping you, looking down.
You followed his gaze.
“I don’t want to wrinkle the dress.”
You felt your heart thud against your chest, and while you knew he only had good intentions, the rejection still stung.
You stepped out of his embrace, watching his hands drop to his sides, “Okay.”
The carpet went by in a blur, you posed with Gavi for a few photos before moving to the side and letting him enjoy the spotlight, he had worked hard for it. You took a couple of photos with some of the other teammate's girlfriends and wives before you headed inside.
Once inside, there was still some time left before the actual dinner portion of the gala started. The gala was held for all Spanish football clubs as a celebration of their hard work during the season. It was also a great event to network, giving players the ability to talk with different coaches and directors they otherwise might not have gotten the chance to, allowing for discussions of thinly veiled preseason transfers to commence without the fear of unwanted ears listening in.
You found Gavi in the crowd quickly, linking your arm with his. He looked over at you, a smile taking over his features once he noticed you.
“Glad you found me.”
You noticed with great relief that his eyes still crinkled in the corners when he looked at you,
“I always do.”
The next however many minutes spent till dinner service started comprised of Gavi talking with various different players and directors as you stood like a shiny accessory off his arm, too insignificant to be acknowledged in conversation.
The call for dinner provided you solace from the repetitive conversations and mundane questions. You took a seat next to Gavi and were confused to find both Joao Felix and Antoine Griezmann seated at your table.
You leaned into Gavi, “I thought the clubs sat together?”
“Me too. I think they’re doing alphabetical tonight though.” He whispered.
“Which one’s your least favorite?” You looked up shocked at Gavi’s question, watching a boyish grin take over his features as he tried to hide his laugh, interlacing your fingers on your lap.
You shoved into him lightly, “They’re sitting right there!”
He leaned in closer, nose softly grazing your ear as he spoke, “Yeah but between me and you, I think Joao could have had a better season in Chelsea.”
You shook your head in disbelief, fighting back the smile that was threatening to spill out. Your eyes caught his and for a second it seemed like you had been transported back in time, back to when these types of moments were the standard not the exception, back when it felt like you were on each other sides, back when laughter was the antidote instead of tense silences filled with awkward hello’s.
His eyebrow lifted ask if to ask if you agreed with him, and a small murmur of agreement from you was all he needed before he opened his mouth, ready to hammer his point home, but his attention switched last second.
It was like you could visibly see the shift in his demeanor. First, it was his eyes glancing past yours, seeing the midfielder approaching. Then it was the subtle grip on your hand loosening, his fingers slipping through the gaps. Next, it was the complete shift in body, his posture straightening as he leaned his body away from yours, position shifting to face Pedri who had sat in the spot next to him.
To his credit, Pedri acknowledged the both of you but it was clear Gavi paid no mind to you, not evening sparing you a glance as he became immersed in a conversation with Pedri.
You tried to pretend it didn’t affect you and while you could lie to everyone else, you couldn’t lie to yourself. You had built up this evening up so much in your head, telling yourself that tonight would be the shifting point in your relationship and that everything would go back to the way it once was, but it was shaping up to be another Tuesday you had become all too familiar with.
Why did it feel like you were always competing for his attention?
Your mind was reeling, all the small actions Gavi did that you kept pushing aside, were floating back to the surface, each little remark or dismissal a little tug on your heartstrings till you were sure that if you stayed at the table a for a moment longer you wouldn’t be able to stop the onslaught of tears quickly approaching.
You stood from the table abruptly, catching a few people’s attention, but you gave them a polite smile, or at least you hoped it had been polite, you couldn’t focus on anything but the stinging in your eyes and the sinking feeling in your stomach.
You swiftly walked towards the restroom, glancing over your shoulder to see if anyone had noticed but your eyes fell on Gavi’s form. He hadn’t even bothered turning around.
Of course, he hadn’t.
Somehow that hurt more than anything else.
You were immensely grateful for the single-use restroom as you locked yourself in, shaky hands coming to steady yourself on the sink.
Don’t cry. Don’t cry.
You were internally screaming at yourself, begging yourself to keep yourself together but the feeling was too overwhelming and before you could stop you felt the first tears slip down. Your shoulders shook as you forced yourself to be silent, embarrassed about someone walking by and overhearing you pitying yourself.
One hand covered your mouth as you muffled your sobs, while the other dug into the stupid marble sink until the skin was pink and indented. The pain acted as a distraction from the unbearable pressure in your chest, and you instinctively pushed your hand harder into the sink.
Your fingers felt numb as you slowly removed them, closing your eyes to steady yourself. It was obvious that you weren’t in the best mental state, but you couldn’t exactly sit in the bathroom for the next hour to sort it out. You had to clean yourself up and go back to pretending.
Yes, pretending, you realized, was exactly what you had been doing. This whole night you had been pretending, pretending everything was okay, pretending that your relationship was fine when in truth you couldn’t even remember what Gavi’s laugh sounded like.
When had it become all pretend?
Was there anything left here? Were your best years behind you both?
These unanswered questions haunted you as you calmed yourself down, wrapping around you like a blanket, one that provided you no comfort but rather a feeling of suffocation.
Finally, your eyes had dried, and the redness had faded significantly. You had gotten your breathing under control, and you felt a little lighter having stopped denying what had been plaguing your mind for weeks now.
You took one final glance in the mirror, smoothing out your dress as you exited the restroom.
You walked slowly back to the table. You had decided that if you could just get through tonight, go home, and cry and think some more, then by tomorrow morning you would be able to talk to Gavi and decide what to do.
But that plan had flown out the window when you arrived back at the table to a confused Gavi.
It seemed he had finally noticed your absence.
“Where did you go? They served dinner 15 minutes ago.”
“I had to use the restroom.”
“For 15 minutes?”
“There was a queue.” You lied.
He seemed to accept your answer and you chose to focus on your food rather than him.
You were halfway through your meal when you noticed Gavi giving you a double take from the corner of your eye.
“Your eyes are red.” He spoke in a hushed voice.
“I don’t know why.”
“Are you sure?” His attention was beginning to slip again, eyes darting back between you and Pedri.
“Yes, I’m fine.” You heard your voice waver on the last syllable, a tick you had when you were lying, and Gavi immediately picked up on it, facing you fully.
“What’s wrong?”
You shook your head not wanting to get into everything here.
“I’m ok.”
“You’re not.”
“Gavi.” You warned.
“What happened? Did someone say something?”
“No. Just drop it please.” Your voice had gone soft, tired of defending yourself.
“Y/n just tell me, I’ll help.” He urged.
You stayed quiet.
“What’s wrong?” He asked again, adamant to get an answer.
You felt yourself grow annoyed, why couldn’t he just let it go? Why was he suddenly interested in how you felt? You were just trying to protect what little left the two of you had and he seemed intent on destroying it.
“It’s you.”
He looked taken aback, eyes pooling with hurt and confusion, his body slightly deflating, “W-what?”
The moment was interrupted when the announcer took over the stage, beginning the presentation for the night, highlighting a few key players and matches.
You looked away first, turning to face the stage, clapping along, acting as though you couldn’t feel Gavi’s gaze burning into your back as he desperately tried to get your attention.
Once the presentation was over you were quick to excuse yourself, using the pretense of going to get a drink as a getaway.
You held your breath as you walked, praying Gavi wouldn’t follow you, and while he got up immediately once he noticed, he was quickly interrupted by another player coming to congratulate him, allowing you to slip away while he watched helplessly.
You let out a huff, leaning against the bar trying to slow your heartbeat.
“Long day?”
You looked over to see Joao standing next to you, watching as the bartender poured his drink.
“Something like that.”
He nodded, “Me too. Been a long couple of days actually.”
You smiled, “Actually, it’s been a long couple of weeks.”
He turned his head to look at you, “I take it back. It’s actually been a long couple of months.”
You raised your hand in mock surrender, “Ok I can’t beat that.”
He grinned, “Yeah not many people can.”
Your expression matched his own, and you gave your order to the bartender before turning to face him again, “So how’s the season been?”
“Shit. Honestly, I’m not even sure why I’m here I played for Chelsea this season not Athletico.”
You couldn’t help but laugh at his abruptness.
“Yeah, I saw your first game. A red card first match is pretty brutal.”
His grin only widened, “Oh keeping tabs are we?”
You gave him a playful glare, “Of course gotta know how Barca’s competition is doing.”
“Oh, so you’re a Barca girl?”
“Since the day I was born.” You revealed proudly.
And it was true, even before you had met Gavi, you had loved Barcelona. Growing up in a family of football lovers, your family had declared FC Barcelona as their home club, and you had witnessed so many legends play for Barcelona and so many underdogs find their true passion at the club.
“Can I tell you a secret?” he asked, and you gave him a nod of encouragement, pretending to zip your lips shut making him smile, “Ok well it’s always been my dream to play for Barcelona. Messi was always an idol to me.” He confessed.
Your mouth dropped open in shock before you abruptly shut it, your eyes almost widening comically as you spoke excitedly, “What oh my gosh. I’m in shock. Messi? But you play with Ronaldo!” You gasped.
He laughed at your facial expression, as he whispered, “I know! That’s why it’s a secret.”
You nodded along with his words, sending him a duh expression, “Of course, I won’t say anything I promise.”
“Promise what?”
Gavi had appeared by your side, a firm hand set on your waist, as he gently tugged you back into his body.
You peeked up at Gavi to see he was already looking down at you, jaw set. You gulped.
“Nothing much, just talking about the season.” You replied.
You saw Gavi’s eyes flicker between the two of you before he brought you closer, “Can we please talk?”
You bit your lip unsure but nodded.
He slipped his hand into yours as he led you to a quieter area. You waved goodbye to Joao as Gavi pulled you through the crowd, and he held his drink up in response.
He was a nice guy. You hoped next season would be better for him than the last.
He guided you to a standing table and propped your hands on the table as he played with the ring on your index finger.
“This a really pretty ring, is it new?” He asked eyes focused on your fingers.
“No, I got it last month.”
“I haven’t seen you wear it.”
“I’ve worn it every day since I got it.”
“Oh.”
You gently removed your hand from his, knowing that talking circles about something so small was going to get you nowhere.
“What do you want Gavi?” You asked quietly.
His voice came out gravelly, “I want to know how I let it get to the point where you feel more comfortable calling me Gavi rather than Pablo.”
His words when straight to your heart, and you could feel his pain almost as much as you could feel your own.
“I-I don’t know.”
You heard his breath falter, “I miss you calling me Pablo. Hell – I even miss you calling me Pablito. I’d take anything over whatever this is.” He gestured pointing between the two of you.
“Ok then let’s talk about it. Let’s talk about where it went wrong.”
His eyes lifted at your words, “Why are you speaking in the past tense?”
You remained silent.
“Amor please, why are you speaking in past tense?” You could hear the panic building in his voice.
“I think we don’t spend enough time together.”
“Ok we can fix that. No problem.” He agreed, desperate to save what was slowly unraveling.
“But do you want to? Fix it I mean?”
“Of course, I do. Please just tell me what to do and I’ll do it.” His voice was almost near begging, and you knew without a doubt that you were in a similar state.
You couldn’t believe that this was happening here, in front of all these people, but it wasn’t fair to either of you to hold it any longer. You had to have this conversation sooner or later and it seemed like tonight was the time for it.
“Sometimes I feel like you don’t have time for me.” You finally admitted what you had been feeling for the last month.
He shook his head rapidly, “I do! But I mean we both have such busy schedules, you have even less time than I do with school.” he argued, “You also have work so that cuts down on the time we have too, but I’m not complaining.”
You were trembling with anger as you spoke, but you kept your voice low, “Yes, because I have to work a job to be able to afford college. I hate the hours probably more than you do, but I do it because I have to. I don’t have an option. I want to go to school? I have to fund it. But you? You didn’t have to go out with the guys after practice or stay around Ansu’s to play FIFA, but you did. That was a choice you made.”
He opened his mouth to retaliate but you weren’t done, “And I’m not even mad about that. I’m mad that for the last month, you’ve put me below every other person in your life, treated me like I’m dispensable, someone who you only consider when you need something. I feel cheap. Like something you only want when it’s convenient to you.”
“That’s not true. You’re my girlfriend!” His voice shook as he spoke, and you realized he was probably just as scared as you were.
“Then why do I feel like I’m not?” Your voice came out soft, barely above a whisper, but it felt like delivering the final blow to an already sinking battleship.
You felt his eyes on you, eyes glazing over as hundreds of unushered words filled the space between you, but the moment was cut short, and you had to remind yourself that you were in public as Xavi approached the two of you.
You gave Xavi a quick hug before he congratulated Gavi on a great season.
Gavi only nodded, murmuring short responses, eyes glancing at you every few seconds like he was scared you would disappear from his life if he wasn’t watching.
He left after a moment, and then the two of you were alone again.
“I’m sorry Y/n, I had no idea that’s why you were working. I would’ve given you the money if you just said something-“
“I don’t want your money Gavi! It’s yours, not mine.” You said exasperated.
“C’mon Y/n you know I have enough to provide for the both of us. You don’t have to work-“
“I don’t want that! In fact, right now I don’t even want to be in this relationship!”
The boy physically shrunk back at your words, your admission sending him into silence as he processed your words.
Finally, he spoke, head shaking in denial, not wanting to admit what was right in front of him, “I-I don’t understand.”
You wanted to yell at him to notice all the signs you’d been sending him, beg him to understand the things you couldn’t say but had always been lurking in the shadows, easy enough to make out if you just paid attention. You wanted to scream that it wasn’t fair, it wasn’t fair that Gavi got to pursue his passion while you were being told to give up yours. Your head was filled with millions of things you wanted to say to him, thousands of little moments you wanted to share with him, you wanted to confide in him about how scared you were, how you had never felt like this in your life, how the thought of him slowly falling out of love with you was ripping your insides apart, making you sick to your stomach. There were so many things but not one left your mouth.
“I know you don’t.” Your voice sounded tired, even to your own ears, and you wondered if this was it. If this is where the two of you parted ways.
“I-I’m just going to go home.”
“I’ll grab our coats.”
You placed your hand gently on his, giving him a sad smile, “It’s ok. I think I’ll go alone.”
Neither of you could deny what it meant.
He ducked his head so you couldn’t see his red eyes. There was a moment of silence, and you could tell he was fighting with himself, trying to figure out what to do to stop the inevitable, until he slowly nodded,
“Ok.”
He had just sealed your relationship closed, something you were grateful for because you knew you couldn’t have done it yourself.
He didn’t lift his head as you walked away, and you didn’t blame him.
You grabbed your coat quickly, bidding goodbye to a few people as you made your way out of the hall.
As you walked down the hallway towards the main doors you realized you didn’t have a ride back. Your roommate had dropped you off and you assumed Gavi would drop you back. Well, that wasn’t happening now. Train it was. One glance out the window told you it was raining, downpouring to be exact.
How fitting. At least the weather matched your mood.
You stepped outside, immediately becoming drenched, but somehow you found comfort in it, at least this way no one could see you cry.
You were about halfway down the steps when you heard the door slam open, yelling coming from behind you.
You spun around, surprised to see Gavi stepping into the rain, “Please stay. Please.”
You stood frozen, unsure of what to say.
You were sure he wouldn’t follow you. But he had.
He kept taking steps closer to you, closing the distance, till you were only two steps apart, “Stay.”
His eyes searched your own, looking for something, maybe a sign that there was hope, something you weren’t sure you could provide.
“Just let me go. We can talk about this tomorrow.”
He shook his head, breath unsteady, “No I can’t. I can’t. I feel like if I let you go now, I’ll never see you again.”
You bit your cheek looking away, he was right. After tonight you had no intention of talking to him again.
His shoulders drooped at your silence, and he sat down on the steps of the building, harsh rain pounding down on him, matting his hair and drenching his extremely expensive suit, but he didn’t seem to care, “I hate fighting with you.”
You glanced down at his figure, watching him sit in the rain with his head in his hands, utterly defenseless.
“But I hate even more that it’s my fault, and that I couldn’t see what I was doing until I felt what you did, just for a second, and it hurt like hell.”
“I should have been there for you. I should have made time for you. I knew what I was doing wasn’t right but then I kept thinking it’s fine I’ll make it up to her next time, but next time never happened because I never showed up. I guess I was just so focused on making sure my teammates all liked me, and they had just stopped treating me like a kid, finally inviting me places - and I’m not using that as an excuse because I know it’s a shit one, it’s on me. Nobody forced me to do anything, I just wanted to feel included, and I put everyone else’s feelings above yours when yours was the one that was the most important to me.”
He finally lifted his head, and he was close enough that you could see the tears streaming down his face as he looked intently at you, almost like he was trying to memorize you, “If you want to walk away you can, you should - I’ll understand. I just wanted to apologize, really apologize, and own up to everything I did. I love you, and I promise you I won’t take anyone for granted the way I did with you.”
Your expression mirrored his own, and the tears were falling freely at his confession now that it was just the two of you. All the things you had wanted him to realize he had. All the things you wished he had said, he finally did.
But was it too late?
“Thank you, Pablo.”
He let out a short laugh through his tears, “No, thank you.”
You gave him a soft smile before you put distance between the two of you, letting the rain mask the sound of you leaving.
The lights from the venue grew dimmer as you continued walking, and you spared one last glance over your shoulder before it disappeared from view, seeing Gavi’s tiny figure rooted in place, watching you leave.
Your steps faltered.
How could you leave this relationship, this boy, when every single warning sign was going off in your brain, telling you to turn around and fight, to not give up? He had understood, he had understood exactly what you had felt, and had owned up to his mistakes, what else could he have done? He couldn’t go back and make it better, but he could change the way he treated you, but how would you acknowledge the change if you didn’t stick around?
It didn’t feel right walking away.
You thought you would feel content, feel like the pressure was lifting from your shoulders, but the dropping feeling in your stomach was multiplying, and your heart was constricting painfully at the thought of never seeing him, never laughing with him, never kissing him again, at the idea of falling in love with someone that wasn’t him.
You never ran faster in your life.
Let him be there. Please let him be there.
You didn’t know how you could explain yourself if you had to walk back into the event sopping wet, eyes puffy, and nose runny.
You couldn’t stop the wide smile that stretched across your face as he realized he was right where you left him.
You sat next to him and he didn’t notice until you spoke.
“Pablo.”
His head shot upon hearing your voice, and his face lifted for a second before falling again, “Di-Did you forget something?”
You nodded.
“Ok I can get it for you, what is it?” He cleared his throat, trying to make his voice clear.
You shifted closer to him, bodies pressed against each other, “I forgot that I love you. I love you and I want to work this out. I’m happy that you took responsibility and I believe you. I believe that you won’t do it again. But I should apologize too – I also wasn’t fair to you, and I did things that I shouldn’t have just to get back at you for making me feel so small.”
“I’m sorr-”
You cut him off, “Let’s stop apologizing.”
He nodded, eyes looking at you with nothing but love and admiration,
“Ok but we’ll have to work on our communication.” He said, and you hummed in agreement.
You touched your forehead with his, staring at each other with baited breaths until he finally closed the distance and kissed you. After a month of not seeing each other, you were finally kissing, pouring all your emotions, all your love, all your pain into the kiss, making a promise to be there for each other, and it felt like coming home.

Pedri Gonzalez (FCBarcelona) - Punto De Vista
Requested: on wattpad
Prompt: 5) "Will you just.....hold me please?"
Warnings: angst
Tumblr media
Pedri walked through the door with a heavy sigh, his shoulders slumped from the weight of a particularly challenging day at training. He walked into the kitchen where Y/n was plating up some dinner. "Hola, amor." Pedri practically mumbled. Y/n, noticing his demeanor, greeted him with a warm smile. "Hey babe. How was your day?" She asked, concern in her eyes. "It was alright." He replied, opening the fridge. "I have dinner. I don't think-"
"Just getting a drink." He said, cutting her off. Y/n arched a brow. "You okay?" He nodded, grabbing the two plates. "Yes. Let's just get dinner over and done with." Over and done with. What the hell? Pedri sat staring blankly at his food, using his fork to move it around but wouldn't dare eat it. "Pedri? You okay?" The sweet voice of his girlfriend pierced through his train of thought. He looked up at the concerned girl and gave her a reassuring smile. "I'm fine. Just thinking." She didn't buy it. "You know I can tell when you're in a bad mood." She said. "I am not in a bad mood. Can you just leave me alone for one minute?" His voice was raised. Y/n, taken aback by his sudden outburst, sat in shock for a moment before realizing something deeper might be bothering him. "Pedri, what happened?" She asked gently, concern replacing any hurt she felt.
He hesitated before blurting out, "I can't get anything right. The pressure, the expectations—it's too much." His voice cracked. He immediately regretted his outburst as he saw the hurt flash across her face. Y/n recoiled slightly, her eyes widening in surprise at his uncharacteristic response. She took a moment to process before she noticed the tears welling in Pedri's eyes, his vulnerability laid bare before her. "What exactly is wrong with that?" She asked.
"Nothing is wrong!" Pedri shouted. She stared at him, dumbfounded. "I-" He sighed and let out a deep breath. Y/n approached him cautiously, her tone softening. "Pedri, you don't have to carry all of that on your own. I'm here for you. Talk to me." With a shaky breath, Pedri looked up at her, his eyes filled with raw vulnerability. "Will you just hold me?" He paused. "Please?" He whispered, his voice barely above a broken plea. Y/n, understanding the vulnerability beneath his tough exterior, embraced him without hesitation. Y/n's heart swelled with tenderness as she wrapped her arms around him, pulling him close against her chest. She felt Pedri's walls crumble in her embrace, his sobs muffled against her chest as he let go of the weight he'd been carrying alone. They stood there, cocooned in each other's warmth, the only sound the steady rhythm of their breathing.
After a while, he pulled away, wiping his tears with embarrassment. Y/n cupped his face and said. "Pedri, it's okay. You just got back from from injury and you arent going going hit the ground running. You don't have to do everything alone. I'm here for you, no matter what." He nodded, appreciating her support, and managed a small smile. "I don't know what I'd do without you." Y/n kissed the tip of his nose. "How about we watch a movie for tonight? Sound good?" Pedri sniffled. "Sounds perfect." Y/n picked up his plate. "Come on, we'll eat in the living room tonight."

Tangled Emotions | Pedri González
summary: for some jealousy isn’t a good look on a man, a torturous feeling. But for Pedri? He looked good anyway. Mostly on top of you.
Tumblr media
WARNING: 18+, sexual content
NOTE: we won’t get to see him play for a few weeks because of injuries so thought i’d cheer everyone up with a chapter for him
Your cunt was dripping with lewdness from Pedri’s constant attack, the bedroom was loud with the sound of skin slapping and heavy moans. The white juices that leaked from both your and Pedri trickled onto your white sheets, staining the light material. Your pussy was throbbing at the consistent effect of Pedri’s cock. His large hand often going down to slap your ass, kneading and running his palm against it.
"Mierda eres tan jodidamente apretado" Shit you're so fucking tight Pedri moaned, his head tossed back, his right hand grasping your hair, and his left hand clutching your hips. Your body canvassed in bruises brought about by the one who had you twisted and tangled.
Your hands moved unsteadily attempting to keep yourself up. Pedri manhandled your body, inflicting pleasure upon every inch. “So good for me baby, your doing so good” Pedri praised, smiling to himself at your compliance. You were unable to see his sweat-soaked body behind you as he stroked your hips. He let go of your hair and got your neck from behind, his shirtless chest contacting your back. It was to much. “Pedri I can’t-can’t take anymore” you cried unsure.
He leaned in your direction. “I know you can take it, begging for my cock like the slut you are but cry when you get it-“ you clenched your pussy that was wrapped tightly around his member at his words. “fuck you just braced around me” He moaned as he let go of your neck and put his left hand on your left cheek. He swiftly slapped your cheek, then caressed it slowly. You shouted in torment as your walls got more tight around his pulsating cock.
"Pedri, ah-ah Pedri” you groaned as Pedri kept his body near your back, leaving indentations around your shoulder. He knew how to quiet you down; he realized you maintained that him should relinquish his displeasure on your delightful body. He moaned as he continued to push into your opening. Your legs started to shake from the sensation of strain on your lower body. You pushed your thighs together, attempting to keep awake, and your arms were battling to keep you up.
"Your close, I can feel this pussy getting tighter” He let out a low chuckle as he felt himself getting closer to you as you whimper. His muscles fixed, pummeling himself in your lecherous set opening that made such a scurrilous clamor at whatever point he pulled out and hammered himself back in your core. He expected to screw you stupid until the sun came up again, hours and hours. Oh fuck
He knew your body, fucked you harder than ever before, and he could feel your legs trembling. Within seconds, your arms gave out and you crashed into the pillow that laid messy on your bed. He let go inside of your tight hole, ropes of cum spurting rapidly before spilling out of you. Only to then plummel himself back in brutally.
Your tongue was out as clearly groans got away from your lips, your pussy leaked out hot, sticky fluid Pedri moaned to the feeling of your tight hole throbbing around him. Pedri continued to drill into your core, whispering Spanish tongued words to himself that could only be explained as filthy praises.

Good 4 U
Tumblr media
note: I don’t know what it is about pedri that makes me write angst but he has a special place in my heart and here’s another story, there’ll be a part 2 if you’re interested 💕
————
summary: you and pedri broke up months ago but you didn’t realize he was back out there dating new girls while you couldn’t even enjoy anything
pairing: Pedri Gonzalez x Y/N
genre: angst
————
“Oh my gosh I’m so glad we did a shopping spree.” you shouted to your friends walking ahead of you.
“Girl, yess at least now we have something to wear to the party tonight.” Ana said to you.
“Party, what party?” you asked and they looked at each other like they were caught.
“Umm, Y/N we were going to tell you, we’re invited to a party tonight.”
“Oh, have fun!” you said softly, you weren’t ready to go out and have fun since your break up with Pedri. You knew it had been 3 months but getting drunk and making out with strangers didn’t interest you at all. You loved him and always thought it’d be disrespectful.
“Actually, you’re also invited and highly encouraged to go with us.”
“What do you mean?” you asked confused.
“It’s at Gavi’s house and he made us promise to bring you.” Ana said while Lucia gave her a look.
“I’m not going.” you said determinedly, there was no way you were going to see Pedri. Ypu weren’t ready.
But after 2 hours of convincing and telling it would break Gavi’s heart because you liked him, here you were getting out of the cab in a dress that felt too tight and too short. You had a sour feeling in your stomach about tonight, Pedri would be there you were sure but you haven’t spoke with him in 90 days. What is there to talk about, you fought a lot, he wanted to end it you wanted to work it out he said no and walked out. Typical break up. Your friends were walking to the gate but your heart was pounding and you didn’t move. Lucia came to you, sighing.
“Look honey, I know it’s not easy seeing him in there but you deserve a fun night. You shouldn’t be the one hiding, he should. And worst case scenario, find some random guy and jam your tongue down his throat.”
“My suggestion would be Ferran.” Lucia chimed in.
“Yeah but Ferran’s not a worst case scenario, he’s more like the best dream I ever had.” Ana went on.
“I’m not hitting on Ferran.” you said sternly.
“Can I?” Ana asked and you laughed at how obvious she was.
You thanked them for their support and went in the house arm in arm. It was the typical house party with dimmed lights and hiphop music, you remembered being with Pedri at these types of events, his hand in yours and laughing at his friends. You stumbled upon Gavi carrying 4 cups of drinks in his hand and tried helping him laughing.
“It’s been so long, thank you for coming.” he said and smiled genuinely.
“Thank you for inviting me.” you smiled back and carried the cups over to Ale and the other guys while your friends followed.
Ale was just telling you about the recent game, which you already seen but didn’t tell anyone when suddenly his words came to a halt and he just stared behind you. You tried following his gaze and saw Pedri and Micah. Micah was an influencer that followed Pedri a few weeks before your break up and you were bothered by it, not because she followed him but because he followed back. You’ve had a few fights over her and he assured you he’d never do something like that, well I guess until now because he had his arm around her waist and they were laughing while coming to meet the boys. He didn’t look up and saw you yet but you knew he would just about any second so you fixed your expression and tried to be as nonchalant as possible.
You didn’t know Pedri was dating anyone, you figured he’d have the same respect you had for him but guess you were wrong. When his eyes met with yours it was like his heart stopped. His movements slowed down and he retreated his hand from Micah looking at you dumbfounded.
“Hi” he said softly not sure about your reaction.
“Hi” you said smiling because no matter how much it hurt, you wouldn’t show him. He looked at you confused and said they were going to get drinks. You could feel everyone’s eyes on you but smiled at them reassuringly.
“Are you okay?” Ana asked whispering.
“Yeah, I’ll be.” you said and took the drink out of her hands and downed it.
It was a few hours into the party and you were getting looser by the second. You had too much alcohol in your system for your liking but it helped getting your mind off of them. Pedri’s mood seemed to be getting worse and worse, he was sitting on a couch while you were dancing with everyone around you like you didn’t care. You didn’t even glance at him, not giving him any satisfaction and kept on dancing until you needed to use the bathroom. You said you’d be back to girls and went on the second floor bathroom because the guest one was occupied.
It wasn’t until you were standing in front of the mirror looking at yourself that you start processing the events of tonight. You couldn’t even glance at another man without imagining him and he was living his best life with influencers on his arm like he didn’t care. You felt tears burning your eyes and blinked to stop yourself and step out.
“What are you doing here?” you asked Pedri because he was waiting at the door.
“I came to check up on you.” he said.
You laughed gaining some power from the alcohol in your system.
“As you can see, I’m okay Pedro.” you patted his back and tried walking past him but he stopped you.
“Y/N wait, I didn’t know you were going to be here. I’m sorry” he said.
“It’s okay, we’re broken up. You can do whatever you want.” you said trying to be as polite as possible because you didn’t want to show him you cared.
“Really, you’re okay with this?” he asked not believing.
“Yes, it’s been months of course I’m okay. Enjoy your night Pedri.” you said and caressed his arm knowing your touch made him feel things. Your break up had nothing to do with your physical connection, it was always strong and you also knew the best revenge you can get is showing he doesn’t even matter to you like standing centimeters apart from him doesn’t affect you at all.
You went downstairs to find your friends until you saw a familiar face.
“Oh my god Diego I didn’t know you’d be here.” you exclaimed and hugged your friend. Diego was someone Pedri introduced you to but soon you became good friends, and he was so jealous. He even went as far as asking you to unfollow him on insta but unlike him, you didn’t go to Diego after the break up as rebound. You were just good friends.
“It’s been too long.” he said and embraced you in his arms and spun you around happy to see you. You giggled at him and started a conversation all while Pedri came downstairs and watched the whole ordeal. You knew you shouldn’t but knowing he’s watching your every move, you were a little too clingy around Diego and stuck by him throughout the night.
You sometimes felt Pedri’s eyes on you burning a hole into your head but didn’t even look up at him once, which must be killing him. Soon after you decided to call it a night since your whole body felt numb and you couldn’t wait to get out your heels. You grabbed Ana and Lucia and went over to Gavi to let him know you’re leaving.
“Oh okay, do you have a ride back home?” he asked.
“Yeah I think we’ll call an uber.” you said looking over your shoulder and seeing Ana chatting up with a guy from the party. She might not be with you anymore, you thought and Lucia was on the phone with his boyfriend telling him to pick her up which meant you were riding on your own.
“You shouldn’t be alone, I can ask my sister to drive you she didn’t drink anything.” he said looking around to find Aurora.
“No no it’s fine don’t worry I can go on my own.” you reassured him and started walking out. You picked your phone up to order a taxi until your phone was snatched from you.
“What the- What’s going on?” you looked up and saw Pedri placing your phone in his pocket.
“I’m taking you home.”
“No you’re not, can you give my phone back?” you asked trying to remain calm.
“C’mon” he just said and started walking to the garage.
“Pedri I’m not getting in your car, you’re drunk you can’t even drive.” you said trying to think of any excuse to get him off of your back.
“I didn’t drink.” he simply said and opened the car door for you.
“I don’t want you to drive me.” you said and crossed your arms.
“Worried about your boyfriend seeing us?” he lifted his brow.
Take a deep breath Y/N, don’t let him see you got to him.
“It’s none of your business and you know it, please give my phone back to me.” you said as cordial as possible.
“No it’s my fucking business, I knew he always liked you and you treat him this good when you don’t even care about me!” he finally snapped.
“Honestly Pedri what were you expecting, you broke up with me. Should I cry and beg you to take me back after I’ve seen you with some girl? I don’t think so, you’re free to do whatever and so am I!” you said and decided not to tell him anything about Diego just being your friend because you knew this would only get him more riled up.
“So what, are you together now?” he said quietly.
“I’m saying that’s none of your business. I didn’t ask you anything about your date and you shouldn’t either. If you want to make a big deal, fine but don’t bring me into this mess. I’m finally healed and don’t need your negativity around me anymore!” you shouted at him and got your phone from his pocket to finish calling that uber. He stood there motionless like he was a statue and looked at you not daring saying a word. You didn’t even realize how much your words meant to him and crushed him that you said you’re healed. That means you forgot about him but he was so far from forgetting you that it hurt.

make up your mind / Pedri González
Summary: Pedri x female!reader - In which Pedri changes his mind.
Requested?: For sure!
Author's Note: Pedri anons 💓 Also I'm a sucker for picnic scenes; theyre my go-to when I can't think of a good setting. Send help.
Tumblr media
This is it. This is the day. We'll sit in the sun, I'll take his hand, tell him the truth, and...
Hopefully he'll feel the same way.
As you park your car, you gradually reach out to switch off the radio and glance at Pedri, who is seated beside you. Just as you are about to say something, he flashes a grin and reaches over to switch the radio back on. With a slight chuckle, he explains, "I like this song."
You can't help but smile back. "Quevedo is your favorite." It's less of a question and more of a statement.
He agrees with a nod, turning off the radio after the song ends. "By the way, where did the idea of a picnic come from, anyway?" He opens the car door as you get out together.
What you want to say is Well, honestly, Pedri, because it's a beautiful day to admit to your handsome face in the sunshine that I'm in love with you. What you do say is: "I don't know. Just wanted to hang out with you, and I didn't have any better ideas."
You have formed a terrible habit of not saying what you're thinking to Pedri.
Today that's going to change.
As you walk alongside Pedri, swinging your arm, you let your hands brush on purpose. That doesn't stop you from blushing, so you look at your feet. You carry the blanket, and he carries the food. Finally you find a nice spot by the water, under the shade of a tree and lay down the blanket. You plop down and look up at Pedri with a playful grin. He sets the food down and sits down, criss-cross, across from you. You both kick off your sandals, and you smile giddily as you start taking out the food.
Pedri has, of course, realized your nervous excitement by now, and asks with an amused tone, "So, what is it? What's got you in such a good mood?"
A part of you desperately wants to just let it spill now, but the smarter part of you says that's not a good idea. That this isn't the best timing. You want to say, Well, Pedri, the thing that has got me in such a mood is that for years now I've been holding back my feelings for you and I've finally decided today is the day I'm just going to tell you, because I've got this hunch you might just feel the same way as I do.
Instead, you shrug. "Just a beautiful day. It's sunny, the water is beautiful, I made myself my favorite sandwich, and I'm enjoying all of it relaxing with my best friend in the shade. What is there not to be in a good mood about?"
Pedri seems to accept this answer with a nod, and replies, "Good point. It is quite lovely. I appreciate you inviting me."
You nod, and hand him the little lunch you promised you'd make him. He smiles, pleased. You grin back, watching him take a bite, and feel a little swarm of butterflies in your stomach as he congratulates. "Very good! Thanks so much for offering to bring me some lunch."
It, truthfully, is completely your pleasure. Seeing him enjoying anything you've done for him or said to him pretty much fills you with pure joy. If you could explain this to him, you would. But instead you respond with a simple, "You're welcome."
So you eat together, and as you do this, you subtly try to move closer to him. Eventually, you end up sitting side by side on the blanket, gazing at the water, legs stretched out, and sharing a gentle touch. With the meal done, you're now simply basking in the warmth of the sun.
And you know it's now or never. You swallow. It's silent. This is the time.
"Hey, uh, Pedri...?" you ask slowly, looking up toward his face.
"Yes?" he's smiling. You smile back as your eyes meet his.
You feel as confidence gradually grows in you. You swallow but say, "There's... there's something that's been on my mind for a while now. Something I've had on my mind. I've had it on my mind to tell you..."
He nods, looking slightly concerned, since you're now speaking in a softer, more serious tone.
You deeply inhale and exhale, before letting it go. You grab Pedri's hand as the words, "Pedri, I like you. Like, as more than a friend. And I have for a while now," tumble out from your mouth.
He stares. His mouth opens and closes. His face flushes. Your heart skips a beat.
Say something.
Tell me you like me back.
You watch as he swallows. He softly slips his hand out of yours. You swallow.
"Y/n... that's... I'm sorry... that's very sweet... But I'm afraid, I, uh..."
You feel a lump in your throat.
"...I'm afraid I don't feel the same way."
You cough. Stare ahead. "You... don't...?"
He speaks quickly but quietly, as though it's awkward to say, and he's trying to be gentle and honest at the same time.
No matter how much of a gentle tone he uses, nothing about that honesty can make you feel better.
"You're a lovely girl," he begins. "And I do love you, but as a friend... You're... You're like a sister to me. I've known you for years. I love spending time with you. I love you. Just... not in that way... I'm sorry."
You stand up and slip on your sandals, looking down. You can't let him see you cry over this. You need to understand. You can't let him feel bad over it, because he's done nothing wrong. He's just being honest. You wouldn't want him to pretend to like you.
You just want him to really like you.
But he doesn't.
The fact that he flat out said he sees you as a sister.
That hurts.
"Wait," Pedri says, standing up with you. He takes your arm. "I'm sorry- I-"
"It's okay," you respond. "Don't be sorry. You didn't do anything wrong."
It was you who messed up. You shouldn't have told him. You shouldn't have been so confident that he would feel the same way.
You grab hold of the blanket, which feels too soft. And the birds' chirping is overly shrill, and the water is too loud, and its waves are terribly big. And the grass and the trees are too green, and there are ants scurrying over your feet and the blanket, and you have a mosquito bite, and there's an empty soda bottle that someone carelessly tossed into the water, now floating away. Everything that was a flawless day just moments ago has turned, suddenly, utterly dreadful.
You almost throw up that delicious lunch in your mouth.
Pedri is saying something, but you can feel tears threatening to fall.
You interrupt him and say blandly, "I think I should go now... Bye."
As you walk off, Pedri calls after you. He follows you, and he doesn't want you to go. But you tell him to leave you alone, and he does. And you get in your car, leave him there, and go home.
It's ruined. Its all messed up and awkward with Pedri. You're aware he's trying not to have it that way, but it still is, anyway.
And you're pretty sure you're not imagining that all the sudden when you hang out together, he'd prefer to have someone else with him.
Well, sometimes it's some of his friends outside of football. Sometimes, more often, it's his teammates, because you already know them. You and Pedri met because of football. You like his friends/teammates in Barcelona.
Most of the time, it's Ferran or Gavi, which makes complete sense, since those are his closest buddies on the team. They're both sweet, and you get along well with both. Ferran, perhaps, more so, for whatever reason. He's got a great sense of humor and comes up with interesting conversation topics.
That's the thing, though. You feel more inclined, when it's you, Pedri, and Ferran hanging out, to relate with and talk with Ferran, just because there's not that terrible awkwardness between you and him.
Gavi's super nice too, but usually he doesn't have much to talk to you about, and then you just end up feeling like the tag-along.
Nothing against him, though. You get it.
He just wants to hang out with his friend.
You just wish Pedri would choose one way or another. He's always inviting you, but seems to have these strict walls he's building. You get it. Maybe he's just nervous. Maybe he doesn't want to give you hope.
But really, it's your fault. If you hadn't let the stupid confession tumble out, you'd still be good, normal friends like you have been for years.
You wish Pedri would either be that good, normal friend to you like he always had, you just cut you out of his life. Then at least you'd (hopefully) just eventually move on and get over him.
But, no. Instead, he's balancing in this weird in-between place. And you hate it.
And then, one day, you get a surprising text. Ferran had your number in a group chat with a few other people, but now you're getting a private text from him.
Ferran Torres: Hey, do you want to hang out?
Me: Why are you asking me, and not Pedri?
Ferran Torres: Because this doesn't have to do with Pedri. Im wondering if you want to hang out with me.
Me: No one else with us?
Ferran Torres: I was thinking just you and I. Unless you don't think so.
You stare at the screen, unsure. What is he getting at? You wouldn't want him to think you like him any more than a friend, but at the same time, spending some time together sounds nice.
Well, you already have your heart set on Pedri, whether he feels the same or not.
But you remember when, years ago, you were first getting to know Pedri, you were considering these same sorts of things. You finally sigh, shrug, and type back,
Me: Sure. What have you got in mind?
That's just the beginning. As time goes on, you and Ferran continue to grow closer, while the whole time you and Pedri are drifting farther and farther apart. While you enjoy Ferran's friendship, it's a different dynamic compared to your relationship with Pedri. Pedri was more open and understanding, providing a sense of comfort and security. He would hold your hand, lend a listening ear, and offer advice only when requested. Ferran, on the other hand, is more of a lighthearted friend with whom you have a good time. If you encounter any difficulties, he'll ask you questions about it, or try to come up with a solution, or distract you.
It's just different.
You lost your friendship with Pedri, but gained one with Ferran. But in the end, it feels more like a loss in the end. Your heart aches for Pedri.
You're not sure how Ferran feels about you, but you're careful about boundaries. You can't let your feelings get away from you after getting your heart broken so recently.
But from Ferran's point of view? Who knows how he feels?
One day, as you walk Ferran to your car after his training, since you're planning on going for lunch somewhere, you pass Pedri. Unexpectedly, Pedris eyes meet yours. In that fleeting moment, his eyes reflect a mix of contrition, confusion, and overall just strong emotion. It's as if he carries the weight of countless questions, yet only one manages to escape his lips, spoken in the gentlest of tones, "Hey, Y/n. I understand you're busy, but... Would you mind sending me a text later, when you're free? I'd like to talk it over."
You're not sure what 'it' is, but you nod.
When Ferran questions you about it, you admit that you're not even sure what Ferran's friend meant, but you feel nervous and excited about it at the same time.
Later, in the evening, you do text Pedri, telling him you can talk now. And he immediately asks if you'd like to come over to his house for dinner.
You say yes.
He tells you when he'll pick you up.
And you spring up off the coach, a strange hyper-excitement suddenly filling you. You go to your room and fix up your hair and makeup nicely. Nicer than you usually do. But of course, you always do that for Pedri. By the time you're done, the doorbell rings. You slip on your shoes and open the door, and there's Pedri.
His hair is a little messier than usually, strands falling over his forehead, but you find that cute. In the glow of the porch light, his very dark brown eyes shine, and he looks angelic. His cheeks and lips are a light pink color, and he's clean-shaven. He wears a navy blue hoodie, black sweatpants, and black gloves on his hands. You smile. He looks so comfy! "Are you chilly?" you ask.
He smiles back. "A little... Anyway, want to come to my car?"
"Well, have you started making dinner at your house yet? Because if not, we can just stay here...?"
He nods, looking (strangely) a little relieved by this suggestion. "Yeah, I haven't started on dinner yet. Maybe we should just stay here?"
You nod, opening the door wider for him. You walk in together, and he slips off his shoes as you say, "I'll just put a pizza in the oven. You can just go in the sitting room and wait for me."
He nods with a little smile and does just that.
You're fairly quick with the pizza.
And when you come back to the sitting room and see Pedri sitting there all comfortable, the thing you want most to do is sit down right next to him on the big grey couch and cuddle up. But instead, you walk to the blue chair on the other side of the coffee table and sit down on that.
But you're surprised when Pedri shakes his head. "No, no. You can sit next to me." He pats the spot, right next to himself.
You swallow but nod and sit down, still making sure you don't touch.
But Pedri wraps his arm around you, pulling you closer to his side, and gently prods your head to rest on his shoulder. You're feeling flustered now as you mutter, "Pedri...?" For such a long time, there's been such a distance between the two of you, and you're assuming that's because he didn't want you to think he liked you. He wanted to keep those boundaries.
Now, as he gently rests his head by the top of yours, all of that is gone. He whispers softly, "I've just missed you, Y/n. A lot."
You swallow and mutter, "But I see you weekly, at least."
He nods slowly, but then says, "But I miss talking with you, being able to touch you, and hold your hand." He gently takes your hand.
With every word from him, your face heats up furthermore. Would a friend really say thing like that? Friends don't talk like that, do they?
Well, Ferran sure doesn't.
You entwine your fingers, slowly, around his, and as if reading your mind, he asks, "So... How's Ferran?"
You look up in confusion, meeting his eyes. Your faces are so close... "You know. You spend more time with him than me, still. It's not like my whole life is centred around Ferran Torres. If anyone's was, that'd be sad for them," you chuckle, teasing your friend.
Pedri chuckles and says, "Wow. That's harsh. But, no, I mean, like, your... relationship with him." He seems to be choosing his words very carefully.
You blink in puzzlement. "It's... fine. We get along great..."
Pedri sighs, seems to consider something, and then finally says, "Alright... I guess I'll just ask it straight-out then." He swallows and says much softer, "So... are you and Ferran dating...?"
Your eyes widen. You open your mouth, close it, and then open it again to say, "No. Not at all. I don't like him that way, and I don't think he likes me that way, but if he did, I'd say no."
"Much like how I said no, huh?" he mutters.
You stare at him blankly, and you feel a little hurt, but nod. "I... I guess so..."
Suddenly, in the other room, the timer starts going off, indicating that the pizza has finished cooking. You rise slowly and stiffly, utterly perplexed about what on earth Pedri is trying to accomplish in this conversation, yet completely sure what it is doing is absolutely messing with your head.
When you come back with the pizza and two plates, Pedri grabs your hand and practically pulls you back down to sit next to him again. He wraps his arm around your back as you give yourself and him each a piece, feeling strange. He finishes his portion quickly, which compels you to do the same. Once he's finished, he thanks you, saying it was delicious, before a slightly awkward silence settles in once again.
Pedri slowly sets his plate down on the coffee table, before looking at you again, locking eyes. He hesitates, before asking, "So... do you still feel the same way about me?"
You nod slowly, blushing. "Yeah..."
He nods back, before murmuring, "What would you do if I said I feel the same way?"
Your heart skips a beat, but your eyebrows crinkle together. "If you do, then..."
"Then why didn't I say it when you confessed it to me?"
You nod. "R-Right. Exactly."
He sighs. "I don't know... It's just- I didn't know. I thought this was just a friendship, and that I didn't need a relationship any deeper. I was happy with what we had and didn't want to change it, and any feelings I had for you I honestly ignored because I didn't want to feel that way... I wanted to just be friends. But then you said it and I didn't accept it and we grew apart because I was confused and didn't know how to deal with any of these emotions... And then you started to get closer with Ferran, and even hanging out with him more than with me, and... Honestly, Y/n, I felt jealous. I had no reason to, because I was the one that rejected you, but as soon as I saw that, I thought 'No, that's Y/n. I'm the one who should be spending that time with her. I'm the one who has known her for years.' And then I started thinking maybe I really do like you back, and the only thing that could make stupid me realize it is when we started growing apart and you started spending a bunch of time with some other guy. Even if the 'other guy' is one of my best buddies."
It's a strange feeling, because you're shocked, happy, and also your head is spinning and your stomach is absolutely full of butterflies. You swallow, and at first when you try to speak nothing comes out, but on the second try you manage to murmur, "So..." you squeeze his hand. "Does that mean you'll give me a shot...?"
He nods right away, and suddenly pulls you into a hug. He wraps his arms around your back, you can feel his muscles, despite the gentleness of the touch. The smells of his cologne fills your nostrils, and it feels familiar, like home. He pulls you closer to himself, gently rubbing your back, holding you closely. You let your head snuggle into his shoulder, and he whispers in your ear, "Yes, please... I'd love that. I missed you so much..."
For some reason, you feel yourself getting a little emotional. You sniff and mutter, "Pedri, I missed you too. I'm so glad you made up your mind about me..." You giggle a little, trying to push away the strange tearful feeling coming on.
When you finally, slowly lean away from the hug, your hand rest against Pedri's chest, and he looks at you with the most shining, happy, contented eyes you've ever seen. It makes you feel warm inside. He gently kisses your cheeks, which makes you smile and blush, before pulling you close to him again for more cuddles.

“now turn the wheel to the right. Just a bit, not too much like you usually do.” Pedri suggests as he looks to the road ahead of you.
His hand tightly grips the back of your seat, his sleeveless Barcelona jersey showing off his defined biceps, making it harder for you to focus on the driving.
“Babe. The wheel.” Pedri snaps his fingers in front of your face and you feel your face getting warmed. You were so distracted by your boyfriend’s attractive body that you didn’t even listen to him.
“Sorry.” you rush to move the wheel accordingly, swiftly driving around the empty street.
“I didn’t know I was that distracting,  I guess I have that effect on you.” he jokes, one of his hands landing on your thigh.
“Shut up, I don’t even know what you mean. I’m super focused on driving.” you lie, a chuckle escaping your lips and Pedri bursts out laughing.
“Huh huh, but your driving has improved a lot. I guess I am the best teacher.”

could I request a pedri one shot?? maybe the reader surprises him at one of his games after saying she couldn't make it bc her plane got delayed or smth and after the game pedri doesn't leave her side, thank you!!
You’re Here • Pedri
He looked down at his phone once more waiting to see if you would message him ‘joking’ as the tears welled up in his eyes. Pedri couldn’t let them fall though as he has a game that he has to focus on and he really has to focus on it. He cannot allow himself to think about the message that you just sent but he couldn’t stop himself, not yet anyway since he was really looking forward to this day for a while and now it was all falling through. You, his girlfriend, and he don’t live in the same city so it can sometimes be a struggle for the both of you to have time to spend together plus on top of this you hardly ever see him play games in person which he really wants you to do. Every chance you get you’ll support him and watch the games on TV but it’s not the same as being in the stadium screaming, shouting and giving him all of your support. It’s not the same as you going down to see him right after the game giving him a kiss and telling him how proud you are and how well he played whether it was a win or not. It’s not the same as giving him a good luck kiss before the match starts. It’s not the same but you do your best and when you can watch him in person it’s always so meaningful and exciting for the two of you.
That was what was meant to happen for this game. This was why Pedri was so excited and had been looking forward to this day for a while. You be there and give him a good luck kiss before he leaves and then support him in the stadium however stupid planes and stupid delayed flights stopped that. That message you had sent had been sent hours ago and he only replied with a simple ‘okay’ but what else was he supposed to say. You decided not to message him again knowing that he has a game to focus on and you don’t want to distract him anymore knowing that the message about the delayed flight will already do all of that. Pedri was absolutely gutted that you weren’t going to be there, he was distraught that you weren’t going to watch him play in person once again because he was generally excited to see you again and show off but now he can’t since you won’t be there. This game though. He has to focus on this game.
“Ready?” Gavi questioned him, placing his hand on Pedri’s shoulder knocking him out of his thoughts.
“Yeah, let’s play,” Pedri said, forcing a smile onto his face. Gavi knew something was wrong but also knew not to push it, especially when they were about to go out for their warm-up. Pedri’s mind had to be on the game ahead and not on anything else so he put his phone away and stood up making his way out of the changing room with the rest of his teammates. He had to take his mind off of you at least for 2 or so hours and he could do that. He can.
Meanwhile, you were sitting on the train on the way to Barcelona. The plane that you were supposed to catch had been delayed and no time had been given and you really wanted to see Pedri play or at least catch some of it in person so you knew that you had to find a way there. Unfortunately, there were no other planes that you would be able to catch and get there in time but you knew that if there was a train setting off soon you might be able to catch the game so as quickly as you could you grabbed your phone and found a train that leaves very soon so you quickly booked a ticket and made your way to the station. You had to run to the station to make sure that you didn't miss the train but honestly, you didn’t care, you just wanted to be in Barcelona.
Your leg was shaking as you made your way off of the train and straight to a taxi. You knew that kick-off has happened but you knew that you could catch the majority of the game if you just hurried up a little bit. Finding a taxi was easy enough but it was the traffic that slowed you down. The game had already started so you didn’t think that there would be that much traffic but clearly, you were wrong. You were actually debating asking the driver to drop you by the side of the road and you would just walk the rest of the way since that’s how much traffic there was.
“Thank you,” You said to the driver as soon as you got relatively close to the Camp Nou. As quickly as you could you paid the driver too and made the final bit of the way to the stadium. You could hear the noise from the crowd as you walked closer and closer to the stadium and it sounded incredible and once again you could feel the excitement building in your stomach. You were about to watch Pedri play in person for the first time in months so of course you were excited for it and subconsciously you started walking faster. Even though the game had already kicked off and had been going on for a little while you were luckily still allowed into the stadium and when you got through the gates into the actual stadium you near enough ran up to where the family members of the players all sat. You were out of breath and shattered when you got there but you could finally sit back and watch Pedri play.
Quickly, you said your hellos to all of Pedri’s family who were watching the game and who looked happy that you had actually managed to come to the game and support Pedri. You didn’t spend that long talking to his family though because all of your attention went onto that field to watch the game. Your heart did flutter a bit when you caught sight of Pedri running around taking control of the game from the midfield and you couldn’t believe that you were finally here watching him play once again. For the rest of the game, your eyes would not leave Pedri even when someone else from Barcelona scored. Obviously, you celebrated with everyone else but your eyes never left Pedri for a second. As much as you loved watching Pedri play you just wanted to go and see him so when that final whistle blew you had never been happier. Finally, you could go down and see Pedri, the main thing that you’ve wanted to do since you stepped foot in Barcelona. Of course, you wanted to watch him play but more than anything you just wanted to see Pedri and spend some time with him. That would be better than anything.
“Y/N?” Pedri questioned when he saw that you were standing there with the rest of his family. He looked all shy and emotional and clear disbelief was on his face too. Obviously, he didn’t expect you to be there since you had told him that your flight had been delayed and everything so he was pretty much in shock that you had actually made it. You actually made it and watched him play a bit. He had no idea how long you had managed to watch him play for but he knows that you managed to at least watch a little bit of it and he never thought that was going to happen when you sent him that message. So yes he was in shock that you were standing there with the rest of his family but he was ecstatic about it just the shock was a little much right now.
“I made it,” You told him, smiling. Instantly once the shock had left him Pedri left his teammates' side and brought you into one of the tightest hugs ever and of course you gave it back since you had missed him an awful lot too. You could hear the others around you still talking and everything but you and Pedri were in your own little world. It was just the two of you standing there together, obviously, it wasn’t but it did feel like it. Nobody was interrupting this moment between the both of you knowing that you both needed it so even though they were in the room with you they will leave you alone and have this little catch-up.
Once you had hugged for a while Pedri leaned back slightly and placed a soft kiss upon your lips. Pedri wanted to ask you so many questions like how you were here but he has time for that later right now he just needs to feel your lips against his and that was what he did. You allowed him to dictate the kiss and just decided to follow his lead with it all. Although you did need this a whole lot Pedri seemed to need it all more so you allowed him to decide it all. Even whilst kissing neither of you seemed to care about everyone else around you even though they were mainly his own teammates and family members, people who will joke about all of this. Pedri couldn't care less though he had missed you too much.
“Please don’t leave,” He whispered against your lips.
“I won’t,” You told him and for the time being you were being honest with him. You wouldn’t leave him tonight or tomorrow but at some point, you will have to after all you have your own responsibilities where you live. Someday you and Pedri will live together and you will be with each other most nights and never have to fear not seeing each other for months but that is something in the future.
For the rest of the night, Pedri did not leave your side for a second. When you were with other people he always either held your hand or had his arm wrapped around your waist pulling you in close to him and it was comforting for you to know that he was always there. As soon as you got home the two of you just curled up on his bed together cuddling and having some soft kisses whilst watching a movie. Nothing more than that happened between you both though you just wanted the comfort tonight. The comfort of knowing that you were both there together and neither of you wanted to get lost in the lust so right now this was enough.

---
the spotlight shone down on you. as the game unfolded, your exceptional speed and agility became the focal point of the match, captivating the audience with your electrifying bursts of speed across the field.
with every stride, you showcased an impressive combination of skill and determination that left spectators in awe. in the blink of an eye, you skillfully maneuvered past defenders, leaving your opponents astonished in your tracks.
as you approached the goal, the anticipation in the stadium reached an all time high. in a swift and calculated move, you ripped a powerful shot that soared past the goalkeeper, finding its place in the back of the net.
the crowd erupted in cheers, celebrating not only the goal but also the extraordinary talent of you, y/n l/n.
running towards the corner flag, your fingers drew together in the shape of goggles before your brought them up to frame your eyes. you stood in front of the crowd, dedicating your goal to your boyfriend, pedro.
the crowd chanted your name as your teammates jumped up on your shoulders, arms, back, shoving you left and right in congratulations. you gave one last look to the v.i.p. stands above. pedro blew you a kiss and cheered for you.
---
you were nearing the halftime whistle, and aitana had struck the ball towards you. her perfectly executed pass met your quick feet as you travelled up the pitch.
the crowd roared as you sprinted faster and faster, struggling to keep up with your own legs.
however, the cheers in the stadium quickly turned to shouts of concern as you were tackled by an opposing defender. with a loud yelp, sure to have been caught by the microphones on the sidelines. you suddenly grimaced in pain and crumbled to the ground.
the whistle blew, and the passionate energy from the fans was overshadowed by a hushed silence.
medical personnel rushed to your side as you clutched your knee in agony. you rolled side to side with gritted teeth and eyes shut tight. the atmosphere in the stadium became somber. you felt a cooling spray touch the burning skin of your knee while your teammates surrounded you. some medics moved you and lifted you off the cold hard turf. you were laid on a stretcher.
as you were carefully transferred off the field, you rested your palm over your eyes to block the inescapable sun. you continued to hiss softly in pain on your journey off the pitch.
tears collected in your eyes before the sunlight slowly disappeared and you were rushed through the tunnel.
---
pedro's eyes were fixed intently on the field as he witnessed the intense battle between your team and the opponents. you had been weaving through the defenders with exceptional agility, showing off your determination on the pitch.
the crowd roared with excitement as you made a breakthrough, but the thrill turned to dread in an instant. an opposing defender executed a fierce tackle, sending you sprawling to the ground with an audible yelp.
pedro's heart clenched as the distressing sound rang in his ears. "shit." he whispered before he leapt to his feet, unable to contain the surge of worry that washed over him. his barcelona teammates and close friends, sensing his escalating anxiety, rushed to his side.
"hey, pedro bro, she's tough, she'll be okay," reassured pablo, placing a calming hand on pedro's shoulder.
"yeah, remember that time she sprained her ankle and came back even stronger?" added fermin, attempting to offer words of encouragement.
but pedro's eyes remained glued to the field, the drama unfolding before him. each passing moment felt like an eternity, growing concern and worry etched on his face. not even the reassurances and comforting gestures of his friends managed to anchor him down.
if he was able to run onto the pitch to see you, he would've been by your side already.
he watched as you were stretchered off. your hand was covering your eyes, but he could make out the pained expression on your face. pedro felt the air knock out of his lungs at the sight of it.
"y/n!" he called out hopelessly, knowing no matter what he did, you were still hurt. he rushed out of the stands, muttering 'sorry' and 'excuse me' whenever he could.
cameras were pointed at him now, but he couldn't care less. all he needed was to be by your side. his feet quickly moved as he descended the stairs of the stadium.
with that, he ran into the tunnel to follow you, urgency written on his features.
he followed the men wheeling you towards a room before a nurse shut it and turned to him in surprise.
"sir, you can't be here right now-"
"i need to see her, please. is she okay? what happened?" his chest heaved from both running to try to see you and the worry settling in his heart.
the woman looked down in guilt before mumbling. "i'm very sorry sir, it looks quite serious. you'll have to wait out here until she's checked up and possibly operated on. it might take a while, are you sure you want to-"
"yes! yes, its fine. i'll sit here." he felt bad for cutting her off again, but it was like tunnel vision. the only thing on his mind was you.
---
it felt like years had passed before the door had creaked open and a nurse came out.
pedro was slouched in the same chair he sat in. she had a soft smile on her face which soothed his raging thoughts.
his back straightened and his head perked up, hoping that he would be allowed to see you.
"she's been asking for you, sir. you can go in now" she spoke, her smile reached her eyes as his eyes lit up.
"thank you."
pedro quickly raised himself up off the chair and hurried towards the door after shooting the nurse a thankful look.
he pushed the door open to see you laying on a hospital bed. you were changed out of your kit and into a gown, and your leg was slung up off the bed with a cast on your knee.
pedro took notice to the two crutches waiting for you against the wall beside you.
"jesus.." he uttered, eyes scanning over your frame on the bed, circles under your eyes. a heartbeat monitor was beeping steadily beside you and it was driving him mad.
he quickly ushered over beside you and engulfed your cold hand in his. he noticed your eyes didn't light up the way they usually did as his thumb rubbed over yours.
he didn't know what to say. he couldn't ask you 'what's wrong?', because that was idiotic. obviously you were upset, but there was something heavier lingering in the air.
without warning, you blurted out,
"i tore my acl. i'm out for the rest of the season."
as soon as the blunt words left your mouth, tears entered your eyes. you bit your lip as if saying that sentence physically hurt you. of course it did. football was your life. it hurts to have something you are so passionate about be stolen from you so fast.
pedro knew how it felt. he had just come back to barcelona after two months because of an injury. of course, he knew he would return after a short while. his injury wasn't as career threatening as yours. players don't usually come back in the same form after any acl injury, let alone tearing it fully.
"ai, mi pobre chica..." (ai, my poor girl...)
he kissed his teeth and his free hand went to gently stroke your face, moving your baby hairs out of the way.
his eyes were a soft reflection of yours, as if he was the one laying in this bed.
you finally let the tears escape, choked sobs escaping from your chapped lips. his hand left your face and joined the other to completely grasp your shaking ones.
"dont cry, mi amor. it will be okay. it will all work out in the end."
pedro's attempts to console you were banished in the sorrow of the small room and the soft beeping of your heart monitor.
but they were forgotten when he saw the tears stream down your cheeks and the pained expression etched onto the face he loved so dearly.
his attempts to console you disappeared when he felt his own warm tears dripping down his jaw and onto the hands that held onto yours tightly.
he didn't usually cry, but something about seeing you do so so hopelessly when he knew he couldn't soothe your pain hurt him.
maybe it was the fact that he played the sport as well, and knew how much it hurt. he could empathize with you and could resonate with the pain that you felt.
maybe it was because you were the first person he truly cared for, and witnessing you lose something so precious to you was like mourning the loss himself.
or maybe it was because his love for you ran so deep it seeped into his bones and into the fibre of his being.
every ache you felt, he carried within himself, your shared sorrows silently uniting your hearts in an unyielding bond.
he felt his breath hitch when your hands stopped squeezing his, falling unresponsive in a dejected trance.
he pried open his lips, the ones that so eagerly wanted to connect with yours. his voice shook,
"your pain is my pain."

Wearing his clothes- headcannon
Gavi:
- You are always wearing his jerseys
- It doesn't matter if you are going to the game in person or just watching from home he always wants you wearing his jersey with his name on the back
- His absolute favourite thing is seeing you watching from the stands and knowing that you have his name written on the back of your shirt it gives him extra motivation to play well just for you and it's even better when you wear one that he's actually worn in a game not just a spare one he gave you
- This all started when you flew out to watch the supercopa final and because it was a last minute trip you didn't pack much so Gavi gave you the jersey he wore in the semi finals to wear to the game and of course it was one of his best performances so now he wants you wearing his jersey every minute of every game to give him good luck
- He likes to see you wearing his clothes in general because it shows others that you are taken and when he's with you everyone gets to see that you are his and no one else can have you
- You wearing his clothes helps with his protective and jealous nature as he feels like he's marking his territory when you are wearing his clothes you can easily shut down any advances from anyone else without question
"What are you wearing to the game?" He asked
"One of your jerseys just not sure which one" you reply
"Let me pick one" he says
"This one the first one I ever gave you we need the extra luck tonight and knowing you’re wearing that will definitely spur me on" he says
"Well if you want extra luck how about I wear one of your hoodies over the top it's going to be cold out" you say
"You sure know the way to my heart" he smiles
Pedri:
- You started wearing his clothes mostly to sleep in
- It began when he was away for a while for the World Cup and you were feeling lonely so you stole one of his shirts to wear to bed as it made you feel closer to him even though he was so far away
- You did it for a few nights until Pedri noticed while you were on FaceTime one night, to start with you get a bit shy about it but when he says he thinks it's cute you find getting caught less embarrassing
- From then on you wear one of his shirts to bed every night and when he's home he will often pick one for you to wear so when you come out the shower you are greeted with one of his shirts laying on the bed for you ready to wear
- When he knows he's going to be away for a few days he will pick a few shirts out for you and spray them with his cologne so that when you come to pick one they all smell like him as he knows you secretly love them more when they smell like him
- For a while you never wore his clothes out because there is far too many things you'd never want to be seen wearing but after some refining of his wardrobe to make his style a bit better you feel ok wearing his clothes out
"Why are you getting rid of that I like that hoodie" he moans
"Because it's ugly I can't steal this off you and leave the house or even look in a mirror so it's got to go" you reply
"So the criteria is if you can wear it out" he questions
"You've got it now help me out" you say
"But these are my clothes why can't I keep the things I like" he continues to complain
"Because you're sense of style is atrocious and that's ok because I'm here to fix it trust me your followers will be thanking me especially for getting rid of all your skinny jeans" you laugh
"Fine but I'm only letting you do this because I love you too much to stop you" he says
Jude:
- Jude loves when you wear his clothes
- He loves it so much that when he goes shopping sometimes he buys things that he knows you will like even if they aren't necessarily something he really likes because he knows you'll look cute
- There's just something about seeing you happily wear his clothes out and around the house which melts his heart the way you always have a big smile on your face when he sees you too makes it even better
- Knowing that even though you two aren't fully public with your relationship but that you still wear his hoodies out to meet friends makes him feel all warm inside
- His jackets are something you steal quite often as you like the look of wearing a nice outfit with one of his jackets which is very oversized on you and Jude has to admit it does look good on you if he could post a picture of you every time you steal one of his jackets then he would
- Jude often thinks that his clothes look better on you than they do on him maybe it's the way you style them or it's just because he thinks you look so cute in his clothes but either way there are some clothes he has surrendered to your possession as you objectively look better in them
"I'm ready to go" you say running down the stairs
"Oh wow you look amazing" Jude says
"Thank you sorry I stole your jacket it just looked good with this outfit" you explain
"Honestly you can keep it it looks so much better on you than it ever does on me" he laughs while being deadly serious
"Jude you can't keep giving me your clothes I don't need all of these" you say
"Well I can't wear them again knowing they look better on you so you keep them plus I like seeing you in my clothes" he says
Joao:
- For a while you didn't wear any of Joao's clothes because you didn't want to just steal them without asking and you were too nervous to ask him in case he thought you were weird for asking
- You only started wearing his clothes when you went out to the beach one day he forgot to bring a coverup so he gave you his shirt to wear from then on you were brave enough to ask and after a while you just started wearing his clothes when you felt like it
- The things you steal from him the most are accessories like sunglasses and hats which started because sometimes you forget to bring those things but now you don't even pretend to forget you just steal them from him
- You don't even own a hat that's why you always steal his and he doesn't mind because he has quite the collection so he always has another one he can wear, sometimes it bothers him a bit when you make them smaller to fit your head and don't change it back as then they don't fit him but you don't do that often
- His favourite part of you wearing his hats is that you often let him choose which one goes with your outfit he enjoys that because he likes getting you to try a few and see which ones look best and when you agree with his choice he feels validated as he always likes your sense of style
- One thing he always does is bring an extra hoodie whenever you go anywhere together so that he can give it to you when you inevitably get cold he learnt the hard way to bring a second one as one time he didn't and then he was the one who was freezing cold
"Here love I don't want you to get cold" he says handing you one of his hoodies
"You are always so prepared aren't you" you laugh
"Well when my girlfriend cares more about her outfit than bringing a jacket I have to be" he jokes
"I don't care more about my outfit you always tell me I'll be fine and that it won't be that cold and then it always is" you argue
"Ok maybe I do that sometimes but it makes me look like a good boyfriend if I give you one of my hoodies plus you always look good in them" he admits
"Well if I look cute I can live with you lying to me" you say
Hector:
- Whenever he can't find one of his shirts or hoodies he always knows exactly where they are and he's yet to be wrong as he'll always find them at your place
- To begin with it annoys him that you take his clothes without asking as he wants to wear them but when he realises you do it because you miss him and that you always wash and return them he doesn't mind quite so much
- Once he realised that you do it because you miss him he tries to make sure he spends more time with you and when he can't he will purposely leave you with one of his hoodies so that you can wear it when you are missing him which he has noticed makes you so much happier
- Over time his wardrobe becomes yours but it doesn't bother him like it used to as you don't steal his clothes all the time and you always return them the only time you keep his clothes is when he gives them to you
- He always thinks you look good in his clothes but he loves it the most when you wear one of his shirts or hoodies with shorts while you walk around his place and he likes it even more when you don't have any makeup on as he thinks you are just so naturally beautiful even when you aren't trying
- There is no way on earth he would ever take any of his clothes back from you even if he wanted to wear them because he knows it would break your heart and he can't have you thinking he doesn't like you stealing his stuff because secretly he loves it
"Babe have you seen my blue hoodie?" He asks before turning round to see you wearing it
"I'm sorry I should've asked before putting it on I can take it off if you want it" you say kind of embarrassed
"No it's ok you look so gorgeous in it it makes your eyes pop" he says
"Are you sure?" You ask
"Yeah I'd rather look at you in it than wear it myself anyways" he says
"Plus what kind of boyfriend would I be if I take my hoodie from you especially when you look so cozy" he laughs
Marc:
- He absolutely loves when you wear his clothes to the point that he just gives them to you
- It first started when you were sick and your family were out of town so he took on the role of taking care of you, he noticed that even though you were under a blanket you were still getting cold so he got you in one of his hoodies and some of his sweatpants which helped keep you warm
- Now he always drops off some of his clothes whenever you aren't feeling your best even if you aren't sick and he just thinks you need a pick me up he will bring you some of his clothes so you can be cozy as that's always makes you feel better
- Of course his clothes are all way too big for you but that only makes him love having you wear them more and you love how oversized everything is on you as its perfect for lounging around or cold days
- For some reason he just loves how small you look wearing his clothes it just reminds him that you are a delicate being and that he wants to protect you at all costs, he's protective a lot of the time but if anyone tries to do anything to you while you are all cozy in his clothes it's over for them as it brings out a whole new level of protectiveness from him
- He also likes to match with you there are some items he has two of so he can match with you or other times he will wear something similar so you two can sort of match
"Wait babe you should wear my hoodie instead it will look good and we can be matching" he says
"What's with you and us matching" you say
"I just like being able to go places matching with my beautiful girlfriend because then people know your mine and they don't try to steal you from me" he explains
"Well in that case I'll happily wear your hoodie especially if it makes you happy" you say
"It very much makes me happy" he smiles as you put the hoodie on

Bet~Pedri Gonzalez
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Type~Fluff with a bit of kissing
Pedri was an amazing friend. And he called you an amazing friend too. And doing everything together would definitely result in someone falling in love with the other person, right? Sure. Whatever you say. Pedri and you made a bet a year after you met.
You were sitting on the couch watching some cheesy friends to lovers movie when you said “Ugh, why would anyone be with their friend? It’s so awkward, you’ll have nothing to talk about!” You complain and munch on some popcorn, Pedri raised his eyebrows in surprise. “Whatever you say, it seems sweet.” He points out. You scoff and roll your eyes. “Sure. Within a week it would be just radio silence from each other. Pedri, can we just stay friends?” You look up at him. He turns to you “Like a bet that we don’t fall in love with each other?” He gave the bowl of popcorn to you. You take it and then nod. You shook hands and an agreement was formed. Don’t fall in love.
A year later
“WHAT THE FUCK Y/N?? YOU MADE THAT BET??” Your friend screams at you on the phone. You cringe at the memory while straightening your hair for a party you decide to attend with Pedri. “Look, I made it as a joke! I didn’t think i’d actually fall in love but he keeps up bringing jokes whenever we’re around Mikky and Frenkie like “Thank god that will never be us!” hits me on the shoulder and runs to the pitch then I always get a reminder how I fucked up!” You put the straightener down and groan. “Y/n. Get that man tonight or someone else will. You know your red dress? Wear that and he’ll swoon!” Your friend makes kissy noises and you groan again. “Fine! Fine! I have to go. Call you later?” You pick up the phone and press the hang up button. You go into your wardrobe and pick out a red bodycon dress. It was time to make this boy yours.
You show up to the party, hosted in a club and walk inside after paying the taxi driver. You didn’t spot Pedri immediately, you also didn’t come together because he thought a lot of fans would assume your together and he didn’t want that for you. You sat down at the bar, the club already full of dancing, electronic music and a strong smell of alcohol. You order a martini and play with the toothpick after you downed it. You glance at the door. When was he gonna be here?
Pedri was shuffling through the crowd of bodies, pushing and shoving a bit sometimes when he finally made it over to the bar, he saw you in the red dress, making his cheeks red and not from the booze. But when he saw you talking to some other guy, he was sent into a quiet rage. Yes, he liked you. But that stupid bet you made felt real so he was respecting your wishes, but if having a relationship with some fuckface then yeah, he was gonna break it. He made his way to you and tapping you on the shoulder. As you turn around, he sees that the guy has put his hand on your thigh. That was the final straw.
“Let’s go.” He said. You look at his confused. “What? I mean alright, you’re my ride so.” You get up, feeling the man’s hand slip off your thigh. “Nice to meet you.” You smile politely. He says the same and you walk away with Pedri. You made the way into his car and after being inside for a minute, he still hasn’t turn the car on. “Pedri, are we-“ “I don’t wanna see you with another guy.” He says, gripping the steering wheel. “What? Pedri, you can’t say stuff like that.” You look at him exasperated. He looked at you and after one minute he was kissing you on the lips. You pull him away a tiny bit and with red cheeks and heavy breathing you ask him “What about the bet?” You gulp.
“Screw the bet, your mine princesa.” He smirks and goes to kiss you again.

Tumblr media
You had met the boys through friends.
Mostly, you had a better relationship with Gavi as you were both the same age, you had the similar interests, you used to go out from time to time.
You could say that you were romantically attracted to him, although you didn't know if he was attracted to you, but you were almost sure that he was, as you had been flirting for a while, having conversations a little bit further than friendship, holding hands, but even so, you hadn't said it openly, so you kept it a secret while you were figuring out your true feelings.
On the other hand, although you had a good relationship with Pedri, unlike Gavi, he was a bit more reserved.
You had hangout sometimes, but not alone, only with friends, the chats you had with him were quite interesting. Pedri was pretty cute too you had to admit, but with him, it was hard to tell if there was any romantic interest.
You had been trying to hang out for a few days, but due to him training, some important interviews and you busy with university, you hadn't been able to meet up, but you kept on messaging each other.
This week you had agreed to go out for lunch with Gavi, because he would be busier for a few days because there will be a important match, so you couldn't see each other until that day, and he had already invited you and you couldn't refuse, obviously.
Not only to see your favourite team play but also to see him and Pedri...Just to enjoy watching your two friends.
You were with Gavi in a restaurant in a hidden place to avoid some fans and press as they are usually very annoying and he didn't want to expose you. He wanted to keep you to himself, he didn't want to ruin whatever he had with you, he didn't want to lose that opportunity with you and more against his friend, because yes, Gavi had noticed the looks you and Pedri were giving each other.
"How are you feeling, aren't you nervous about the game this sunday?" You asked Gavi while smiling at him.
" Kind of, excited more than anything. I hope Xavi lets me play the whole game and obviously, score a goal" You could see an incredible enthusiasm in Gavi and you couldn't help it either. You know he's a great player and he always puts everything he has into every game —even if sometimes he exceeds that—.
"You'll see that he will, but please don't fight with anyone or you'll get overheated" You gave him a little tap on the shoulder playfully.
"Que va! Que yo soy un tío muy tranquilo hasta que me provocan” (No way! I'm a very calm guy until people tease me) He looked at you with an offended look, but at the same time, laughing.
"Okay, you're right about that. Gavi, I hope you manage to win, the team deserves it, you and Pedri have been great" You couldn't help not mentioning Pedri, but it was true, these guys were the Golden boys of the team.
Gavi couldn't help but feel jealous when he heard you mention Pedri, did you really only see Pedri as a friend? Did you even have feelings for him, for Gavi? He couldn't lose you, he immediately had an idea.
"Ok, I will promise you one thing and you will promise me one thing. That you have to go to the match wearing my shirt and if I score a goal, I will dedicate it to you but you have to give me something in return" Gavi said while smiling with a BIG smile.
"Ok, but where did I get the shirt from?"
" Don't worry, before sunday I'll give you one of mine " Gavi told you while smiling.
"Ok, it's a deal, but what do I have to give you in ret-"
"Guys, I didn't know you would be here" It was none other than Pedri.
Actually, he knew you were eating at this restaurant because of some photos that were released. He was at home scrolling through twitter when he found some pictures of you guys that a fan had takem. That made Pedri jealous, sad and angry at himself for not asking you out sooner. But he was not the only one who was angry, but also the fans.
Even though, in the pictures you appeared with back turned, Pedri knew perfectly well that it was you, because of your silhouette and because of the silly smile Gavi had in the pictures while he was looking at you, so he didn't hesitate to go to see you, he knew the restaurant because he and Gavi used to go there whenever they wanted privacy.
"Man, what a surprise!" Gavi said with fake excitement in his voice, as well as his smile.
"Really? I didn't expect to find you here; I was supposed to meet Ferran but he's already late. Do you mind if I sit with you?" Pedri asked staring at you
"No" "Yes" You and Gavi replied at the same time.
Gavi clearly wasn't happy that he had come to interrupt you, it was his moment with you. You on the other hand, even though you were a bit confused, were happy to have your friends together because with Pedri, you hadn't been able to meet up.
"Pedri, I'm happy to see you. We finally got to see each other" You said as you looked at Pedri and he couldn't help but smile. You were happy to see him.
Gavi, in contrast, was in a grumpy mood from the moment Pedri came over. He knew what he was doing, but he promised himself he wouldn't let him ruin it.
"In fact I was going to send you a text to meet up today."
"Sí bueno, mala suerte tío, que ella ha salido conmigo” (Yeah well, tough luck man, she’s with me) Gavi mumbled, as he pulled his chair closer to yours.
Pedri noticed that action and his smile faded.
"Well, since we're here, I wanted to invite you to the game on sunday”
"Thanks Pedri, but-"
"I've already invited her, she even promised to wear my shirt" Gavi interrupted you as he pouted slightly and made a fake sad face and you looked at him confused.
"Pedri, don't worry I'll support you both, you're my friends"
Both boys fell silent.
"Fair enough, that's what friends are for, right?" Pedri replied, with a fake smile.
"Well, how about if I order something to eat to join you guys" Pedri said.
"Sure, I'll talk to the waitress" You replied smiling.
After Pedri had ordered his food and it arrived, the three of you started chatting as normally as you could.
"I'll be right back" Gavi said as he got up from his seat and headed to the bathroom leaving you alone.
"What do you say tomorrow if I pick you up at the university and we go to my place to watch a movie and eat?" Pedri asked you excitedly.
"Yeah, that’s great idea!” You smiled, it was a great opportunity to get to know him better.
"How do you feel about the match?” You asked him.
"Pretty confident actually. I'm really looking forward to the game already" He replied smiling. Just like Gavi, you could see the passion when they talked about what they love.
"I know you're going to do great. You are an amazing player Pedri" He blushed at the compliment you gave him, how cute he was.
"Thanks y/n. I promise that when I score a goal, I will dedicate it to you" He smiled at you and now it was your turn to blush.
You had two boys —who were best friends—that had promised to dedicate their goals to you this Sunday.
"Who are you going to dedicate a goal to? Tania, the girl you're seeing?" said Gavi sitting back down next to you.
You remained silent and couldn't help but feel uncomfortable, Pedri, for his part, was extremely irritated. He had no right to bring that up, did he? Gavi just wanted to make him look bad in front of you. Even though he had a short-term thing with her - three dates to be exact - he stopped the moment he started to take an interest in you, all that rumours about them actually being together were just rumours, and now he was afraid you'd believe it.
Tension was in the air, it seemed like the two of you were competing for who was better, who could get your attention the most.
“¿Eso a que viene tío? Esa chica nada que ver, que solo son rumores y ya” (What's that about, man?) That girl has nothing to do with that, it's just rumours and that's all)Pedri answered with a noticeable annoyance in his voice, he had even turned red with anger.
" Nada Pedri, que tú me dijiste que había algo entre vosotros. Tranquilo”. Pedri, you told me that there was something between you. Calm down.) Gavi said playing dumb. He wasn't going to rest until he got you, not when he knew Pedri had feelings for you and apparently you were attracted to him.
"Okay guys, calm down. I have to go, y/bf/n is coming over to my house to study." You stood up from your chair, picked up your bag and left money on the table for your meal.
"Do you want me to take you home?" Pedri and Gavi spoke at the same time.
"Pablo, you don't even have a driving licence, what do you say?" Pedri says turning to look at him.
"We're taking a taxi. Let's go," Gavi said.
"No way, I'll take you" This time Pedri said looking at you standing up from the chair and taking out the car keys.
"No, no guys. Okay, see you on sunday" And with that, you started to head for the exit.
"Okay, see you tomorrow y/n" Pedri said to you, to which Gavi turned to look at him confused.
"¿De que vas, tío? (What are you on about, man?) Gavi said to him annoyed.
"No, ¿de que vas tú? ¿Por qué mencionaste a Tania enfrente de y/n?” (No, what are you about? Why did you bring up Tania in front of y/n?) Pedri walked up to Gavi pointing at him.
"I only told the truth. It's better if she know that you already have a girlfriend, I'm going to take the chance" There is, this fucker knows what he's doing.
" You're just an idiot. You already knew there's nothing between me and Tania" Pedri points at him. "You're not going to take any chances, because that one belongs to me, and/n she's interested in me. Tomorrow we'll meet and I'll confess how I feel about her and you won't be able to stop me.
By this time, Gavi was really pissed off, he definitely wouldn't let Pedri have a chance with you, not with the strong feelings he had for you, and that he knew you felt as well.
"Pedri, you can't do this to me. You know she and I have been flirting for a while now."
" You've said it, you're just flirting, fooling and there's nothing going on between you. I'll take the opportunity. I'm sorry Gavi, but I really like her". Pedri says that and leaves the place.
Neither of the two guys were going to let you go, they would fight for you and your love regardless of their friendship. And you, you didn't know what would happen next, and for sure, someone would get hurt.
