Kicking Baby • Erling Haaland
Tumblr media
Child/Parent Prompt List v.2 • Number 8
“Mummy it kicked me. The baby kicked me,”
“Mummy it kicked me. The baby kicked me,” Your daughter got out sounding slightly astonished like she didn’t know that babies could move and kick in the tummy. To be fair she is only 4 so she probably didn’t however you have spoken about it before as it had happened before just not whilst she was leaning against your tummy. The baby had been moving around all day and it was slightly uncomfortable so you managed to persuade your daughter to sit down and watch a film together. She was lying down cuddling into you when the baby kicked her.
“They’re saying hello to their big sister,” You gasped. Once again the baby kicked against your daughter's hands which were now on your tummy and she started giggling and just looked at you with amazement in her eyes.
“Hi baby,” Your daughter giggled now patting your stomach as well to say hello to the baby. This made a smile come over your face and carefully you grabbed your phone to record this moment. From the moment you found out you were pregnant you were nervous about how your daughter would react to it because she was so used to having all of your and Erling’s attention however when you told her she was so excited and both you and Erling have made sure has been a part of it all not wanting her to be left out at all. Your daughter has loved going to the scans to see the baby and hearing the heartbeat and she’s even loved picking out a teddy and some clothes for the new baby. She is very excited and that is showing right now.
Pulling you from your thoughts your daughter let out a screech but before you could warn her she had ran off to go and grab something. It wasn’t long before she came running back in with a couple of her own books in her hands and you were slightly confused because as much as she loves reading she would rather sit and watch a film like you were doing but now she had several books in her hands.
“Are we going to read Bubba?” You questioned manoeuvring yourself so you were in a more comfortable position to read. Your daughter just shook her head as she bounced over to you and climbed onto the sofa placing the books next to her.
“I’m going to read to the baby since they are awake,” Your daughter spoke picking up her favourite book and opening it up. Your daughter was only starting to learn to read so she couldn’t actually read it with the actual words and make it accurate however considering how much you and Erling had read it she could probably recite it word for word. Plus there were pictures so she could make it up.
You just stayed there lying on the sofa allowing your daughter to ‘read’ the books to the baby and after taking a video of the moment you put your phone down and just enjoyed the moment. When your second child is born you know that there won’t be a lot of peaceful moments so you have to take it all in now plus this moment is actually adorable. As your daughter was reading you heard the front door open and you knew that Erling was home after training. That was how you could tell that your daughter was so engrossed in reading because usually she would sprint to the door to meet him but now she’s just reading.
Keeping one eye on the door you watched and waited for Erling to come through and when he did you put your finger up to your lips telling him to keep quiet as you didn’t want him to disturb what was happening. He just nodded his head and pointed to the bedroom before disappearing. He was obviously going to change before interrupting the moment. Change into something more comfortable and sort himself out before your daughter wants his constant attention. After letting her know about her new baby sibling, she was excited but at the same time has become significantly clingier with you both probably knowing that she will have to share attention with the new baby so she’ll try to get it all now. It was nice but was also making you nervous about the new baby's arrival.
“Hi,” You mouthed to Erling when he returned to the room after getting changed. He had this soft smile on his face and his hair was down flowing free around his shoulders allowing it to relax a bit after being up in a bun all day because of training. He loved being able to get home and just let his hair loose and so did your daughter who loved platting it and doing a bunch of different things to it. To be honest you were slightly jealous of his hair. It’s so soft and shiny and you adore just running your hand through it. You love it when it’s down as it usually means he’s relaxing and when he puts it up it’s to get it out of his face so he can do some sort of work and it’s usually never up unless your daughter has done it when he’s at home. You get to see it all lovely and free-flowing.
“Hi,” He mouthed back as he walked closer. He placed a soft kiss against your temple before leaning down and grabbing your daughter and tickling her causing her to screech and let out a bunch of giggles whilst wriggling around trying to get out of Erling’s hold.
“Daddy,” She squealed, and Erling stopped tickling her and actually cuddled her this time. She leaned into his arms and laid her head on his shoulders just cuddling into him. One of her hands crawled around his back to grab the ends of his hair which she ended up twirling around her fingers.
“What have you been doing?” Erling softly asked her.
“The baby kicked me,” She told him, smiling brightly. Her smile was the exact copy of Erling’s very own smile. It was mental how much she looked like Erling at times. Also, it was quite rude considering you carried her for 9 months and she has the audacity to look like Erling. Her eyes even crease in the same way his did when she smiles and laughs. It is adorable.
“The baby kicked you,” Erling responded pretending to sound shocked by that and your daughter enthusiastically nodded her head and started rambling on and on about the baby and it kicking her before moving on to talking about god knows what. Erling listened intently to every word even if some of it made no sense whatsoever and even if some of the words she was speaking weren’t real words. He hung on to every word his daughter was saying, umming and ahhing and even asking a couple questions too which you think your daughter ignored because she was busy just rambling on whilst still twirling Erling’s hair around her little fingers.
“I’m reading,” She eventually said interrupting her own little ramble before wiggling to get down. Once Erling let her down she ran to grab one of her books and sat next to you and began reading again. Meanwhile, Erling took a seat next to you on your other side and wrapped one arm around you whilst the other was resting possessively against your stomach just listening to your daughter trying to read the book. It was one of the rare and peaceful moments in this crazy household. Every now and then your daughter would look at you and Erling and you both would give her a smile so she would continue. It’s good to get her reading and it’s actually nice to listen to and see her improvement.
“Our little family,” He whispered, rubbing your stomach and causing your child that was in your stomach to start kicking and moving around. It was a nice feeling especially with Erling’s hand there and Erling loved feeling the baby kick too. Like your daughter it made him included in the pregnancy, slightly anyway. Before you were able to say anything back to him your daughter had seemed to finish reading her book to your bump and apparently needed entertaining by a very specific person. Erling.
“Daddy, I'm bored. Can I do your hair?” Your daughter begged pushing her book onto the floor.
“You’re soon going to have two of them pulling you in a million different directions,” You chuckled when he gave you a look that said ‘please save me.’ He loves his daughter, he does, and loves playing with her and would honestly do anything for her however when she does his hair… it hurts. He’s actually shocked that he has as much hair as he does considering how hard your daughter pulls it. He will never say no to her though because your daughter thoroughly enjoys it and he loves anything that she does.
“I can’t wait,” He replied kissing your temple and bump before moving to entertain your daughter whilst you stayed sitting on the sofa. This is your little family and you cannot wait for the adventure when the new baby arrives.

Persuade Daddy • Antoine Griezmann
Tumblr media
Child/Parent Prompt List v.2 • Number 7
“I want a dog” “I do too but you have to persuade daddy.”
“I want a dog,” Your daughter told you as the two of you were eating dinner together. Antoine was currently away for a football match so it was just you and your daughter having dinner together. It was nice to be alone with your daughter for some quality one-on-one time but at the same time you both missed Antoine when he wasn’t here, especially around the dinner table where it was more known. For a moment after your daughter spoke those words you were in shock but only for a minute or so because you were ecstatic over the fact your daughter wanted a dog. That now made two of you in the house that want a dog. Antoine can’t say no to both of you, majority wins, right?
“I do too, but you have to persuade Daddy,” You replied instantly, throwing Antoine under the bus with your daughter, however, it was only the truth so it’s not like you’re lying to your daughter plus it’s a family decision so you can’t just get a dog because the two of you want one. Before you had your daughter you had really wanted a dog but Antoine was always saying no. It was when you and Antoine had moved in together and it was amazing to finally be living together since you are able to see each other more frequently however when he would leave for the France National Team or be away for a couple of nights for away matches you would feel quite lonely in your house and the perfect answer for this would be to get a dog. Obviously, you spoke with Antoine about it and gave him your reasons for wanting a dog but for some unknown reason Antoine was strongly against getting one. He never said his exact reasons but Antoine not wanting one was enough of a reason for you to drop the conversation. Every now and then you would bring it up again to see if he had changed his mind but Antoine would shut it down instantly and once you had your daughter you never brought it up again. But now your daughter is older and apparently wants one so maybe it’s time to bring it up once again.
“Really?” She asked sounding really excited and also a bit sceptical at the same time like she didn’t expect you to say yes. Well, it was probably that you said yes straight away like that- well a part yes since you said that she has to get Antoine approval first.
“Sure, you just have to persuade your daddy first,” You reuttered to her letting her know that it is Antoine that she will have to get through to him if she really wants that dog. Instantly you saw this glint in her eye and you just knew that she took that as a challenge.
“I will. Daddy can never say no to this face,” she told you pulling a pouting face at the end of it. The one she pulls if she ever wants something or to do something and gets told no. The whole thing was true though. Your daughter could honestly get away with murder with Antoine so you would not be surprised if he instantly gives in when she asks. Either that or he would stutter for a bit before giving in to your daughter and getting her whatever dog she wants. Not your favourite parenting technique of Antoine’s but in times like this where you also want a dog it is wonderful.
“You do need to know how to take care of a dog and find out everything you need first though so it may be a while until we get one,” You explained trying to prepare her for the worst possible outcome of Antoine not agreeing and that even if Antoine agrees to the dog she won’t be able to get one right away because it doesn’t work like that. You have to find the perfect dog for your family. Your whole family is quite energetic and goes for walks often therefore a more relaxed dog who doesn’t have a lot of energy wouldn’t be good. There’s a lot of research that goes into having a dog so your daughter needs to be prepared and making her do her own research will also show Antoine that she is serious about wanting a dog and it may make him more likely to agree. Or agree quicker and you both probably need all the help you can get.
“I’ll go look now,” your daughter said seriously as she shoved that last bit of food into her mouth before getting off of her seat and making her way to the computer to do some research. You did chuckle to yourself at her seriousness of the whole situation but at the same time you thought that it was good because it meant that she really wanted a dog. All you could do though was chuckle and wish Antoine good luck because as soon as your daughter had an idea on her mind she would work towards it and make sure she gets it. She wants this dog and she will get this dog. One very stubborn child you have. Wonder who she gets that from?
——
A day passed and Antoine was finally home again. As soon as that door closed behind him your daughter was in his arms hugging him tight. Antoine probably just thought that your daughter missed him but you could see that she was sweetening him up, making sure that she was on his good side. There was another motive for this affection but Antoine was about to find that out. Let him enjoy his little moment with his daughter. If you looked past the other motive it was actually a sweet sight. Antoine had his eyes closed and a soft smile on his face whilst holding your daughter tightly against his own body and your daughter was clinging onto him. It was adorable really. Poor Antoine. He really had no idea what was coming.
“I want a dog Daddy,” was the first thing that your daughter said to him when he placed her back down on the floor. No hello. No, I missed you. Just, I want a dog. Straight to the point.
“What?” Antoine questioned, understandably confused by what your daughter had just said. Maybe he was just processing it all. He did look at you with a raised eyebrow and a questioning look on his face but you just shrugged your shoulders whilst doing everything you could to hold back the smirk and the laugh. After that, he turned his attention back onto your daughter hoping that she would explain where all this came from. To be totally honest Antoine probably thought that it was you getting your daughter to say it and fair enough since you have asked for a dog multiple times but not this time. This time it was fully your daughter's idea.
“I want a dog,” She repeated to him.
“Did you tell her to ask me?” Antoine questioned turning his attention away from his daughter and turning it to you with a slight glare. This time you did allow the smile to take over your face and you tried to make it look innocent but you knew that you were failing miserably.
“No. She asked me about it yesterday and I just told her to ask you,” Was all you told him.
“Can I have a dog?” Your daughter impatiently asked again, getting frustrated that he wasn’t getting a set answer from Antoine. He looked between you both for a couple of seconds like he was deciding whether or not to go through with it. Considering how often he works he knew that most of the dog care would primarily be down to you but still a dog is a lot of responsibility and a family decision. When it wasn’t during the football season the three of you like to go travelling so your daughter experiences different cultures but is that possible with a dog? There is so much to think about.
“Taking care of a dog is a lot of work. How about a pet- a pet- a pet rock?” Antoine finally got out.
“A rock!” She shouted, not believing what Antoine had just told her. She actually sounded a bit offended by it, by the fact Antoine wouldn’t allow her a dog but a rock. A rock that doesn’t do anything and is absolutely pointless because the child can't show that they can care for something. That is something that you’ve never understood however it is a little funny to offer them a rock instead of a fluffy animal. You were doing everything to hold back a laugh at the fact Antoine had just offered her a pet rock. At the same time you were just watching the interaction between the two of them. The way Antoine attempted to be strong and say no to your dog whilst your daughter just stared at him pouting. You could tell that Antoine was slowly breaking and would soon give in.
“Fine we’ll start looking into getting you a dog,” Antoine finally burst out at the smile your daughter let out was gigantic. You could tell that smile was worth everything for Antoine. He would do anything to get your daughter to let out a smile like that especially if he was the reason for that smile and if that meant agreeing to get a dog now then so be it. Anything to get her to be happy and smile like that. Once again your daughter ran over to him giving him a huge hug because he had agreed to get her a dog. Any dog that she wanted Antoine would get her if it puts a smile on her face and gets him hugs like this.
“Thank you, Papa,” She said over and over again.
“So what dog are we getting?” You asked cheekily and Antoine just glared at you whilst hugging your daughter close. This time you were unable to hold back the laugh so you were just standing there leaning against the wall laughing whilst Antoine was on the floor hugging your daughter and your daughter just kept babbling and rambling on about what dog she wanted to get. You could already tell Antoine was regretting his decision.

No More Football Please • Christian Pulisic
Tumblr media
Child/Parent Prompt List v.2 • Number 6
“I don’t want to play football anymore.” “What do you want to do?”
“I don’t want to play football anymore,” Your son mumbled out to you and Christian when the two of you were sitting in the living room watching some kind of film together. Looking over at him you saw that he looked all shy and nervous about telling you both this, mainly Christian, like you would both say that he has to continue playing. It’s not like Christian pushed him to play. Neither of you did. The only reason your son plays football is because he begged both of you to be able to play it so it was his own decision and not Christian pushing his own interests on him. Not intentionally anyway. If anything Christian was the one who didn’t really want him to do it. Both of you tried to push him to do other things and explore other interests but he stuck to football and the fact he was now telling you that he no longer wants to do it shocks you. At those words Christian moved his arm that was around you away and sat up more to show that he was listening and ready for this conversation.
“What do you want to do?” Christian asked and your son looked shocked. Shocked and happy. Shocked that you and Christian weren’t arguing with him and trying to make him continue and maybe you should. You’ve put so much time into it and now he no longer wants to do it however deep down you knew that he wasn’t really enjoying it any longer. Plus if your son says that he’s not enjoying it then you don’t want to force him to go to training and games but you do want to talk about it all and not just ask what he wants to do instead like Christian did. Maybe that’s why your son looks so happy but a conversation is definitely needed first.
“Okay, before we or you totally decide what else you want to do or if you actually want to quit football let’s have a conversation about it. Why don’t you want to do it anymore?” You questioned breaking it down with him because you don’t want him to regret this decision in a few months. It would frustrate you if you allowed your son to stop playing football or stop anything really and then later in life he regrets ever making that decision. What if he later regrets it and then resents you for not making him continue? It’s things like that which worries you but if he hates it now you really don’t want to force him to continue.
“Good idea,” Christian said motioning for your son to take a seat on the other sofa. Once again your son looked really anxious about this conversation. He looked calmer when Christian asked what he wanted to do instead but now he’s actually got to talk about why he no longer wants to play football he looks anxious. You gave him a gentle smile hoping that it was reassuring and he would give you the truth and calm down. Neither you nor Christian care too much about why he wants to quit football, however, you are intrigued and want to understand the reasons for it so there is no reason for him to be nervous. Unfortunately, you know that his head doesn't work like that and he will continue to be nervous until the conversation ends but you will do anything to make him more comfortable and reassure him.
“So why don’t you want to do it anymore?” You questioned once again hoping to get the conversation started. It’s not supposed to be an interrogation or feel like one but you know that your son won’t talk without the questions being asked. You know that you have to prompt him with it so that's what you are doing. It’s not supposed to be an interrogation or feel like one. Also with you and Christian sitting on one sofa and him on the other it can probably make it feel like an interrogation and that’s why you’re slouching and leaning back on the sofa. Anything to make this thing seem casual and get your son to talk to you.
“Because- Because it’s not fun. It used to be fun to go to training and play but now everyone is so serious and nothing fun happens. We have to win and if we don’t they all get moody and- and there are no games or laughing anymore. It’s no fun,” Your son said. You remember when he first joined the football team. He was young and he always had a smile on his face and was laughing the whole time. Yes they would do some training drills but the coaches would make fun and games out of it all to keep the kids entertained. A few years have passed since then and now your son plays for a team that is in an actual league and therefore the fun aspect has dropped significantly. Since Christian has played football for years he knew that it would get more serious but he still had fun yet it seems like your son is not having fun and that breaks his heart.
“Do you even like the games?” Christian asked. He remembers the smile your son would have on his face after games and how he would end up babbling to Christian for hours and hours about the game clearly loving playing it. Now though he doesn’t. He tells Christian that it was alright but won’t go into any details about it so Christian was sure that he already knew the answer to his question. Your son was never a competitive person so him not enjoying the competition part of the sport made sense and made sense that he wanted to quit it especially if he wasn’t having fun during training either.
“Yeah,” Your son said not even surprising you or Christian with that answer. You and Christian just hummed not knowing what else to say and it was silent for a few moments until your son spoke up again.
“You always told me to just have fun about it and I’m no longer having fun,” Your son said. And it is true. Both you and Christian had just told your son to not worry about the competition aspect or losing and just have fun because that is the most important thing to you. You just want your son to have fun and if he’s not is that activity even worth doing anymore?
“Do you dread going to training?” Christian asked. He remembers when he was little and he had football training or soccer as he called it back in America. He would always beg his parents to play and take him even when it wasn’t on and when it was on he was bouncing off of the walls excited to go. Even if it was tortuous or repetitive he would still love it because he knew that the repetition would be good because that’s the way he would get better at those basic skills and he needed to be incredible at those simple skills if he wanted to be a footballer one day. He just loved football and would be playing it 24/7 and he may have been that weird kid in school playing real football instead of American football but he loved it. Football was his life. (Until he met you and you had your son). Thinking through it, your son was never like that. Yes, he would play with Christian but not beg every day like Christian did and most of the Christian was the one that initiated playing. Most of the time your son wouldn’t even choose to play except when he asked to start playing for a team but maybe he only asked because he thought that Christian would want him to since Christian plays football. This conversation was making Christian think. Did he really give off the impression that he wanted his son to follow in his footsteps and play football and not do his own thing?
“Yeah. It feels like a chore,” Your son told him. You felt absolutely horrible. How long has your son dreaded going to training? You never wanted him to dread going anywhere and if he was, you wanted him to talk to one of you instantly but that doesn’t seem to have happened. Hopefully he hasn’t dreaded it for long though because that would make you feel so much worse.
“Are you 100% sure you want to stop playing football?” You questioned again. Although you felt like you already knew the answer you felt like you needed to ask again just to be sure. Just to get him to say it himself. For a moment your son thought about it before answering.
“Yeah. I have thought about it for a while,” Your son said sounding the surest that he has throughout this whole conversation. Him sounding like that did reassure you though because he sounded so certain and you knew that he was making the correct decision for how he is right now. Obviously there is a possibility that he will regret it in the future but this was the right decision for now and it would probably be in a few years team that he will actually regret it if ever.
“Okay, we’ll let your coach know,” You told him making a mental note to call the coach tomorrow to inform him that your son was no longer returning to the team and that you wish them the best for the rest of the season. Best leave them on good terms just in case your son ever wants to return however if he ever wants to go back to football you’re certain you would go to a different team. Still best to leave on good terms just in case because you never know who’ll you’ll need or what will happen in the future.
“What do you want to do then?” Christian then asked like he did at the very start of the conversation.
“I don’t know,” Your son solemnly said like he was generally disappointed that he didn’t know what he wanted to do.
“That’s alright we’ll figure it out together,” Christian told him and he was being truthful. The three of you would work out together and find something that he enjoys and wants to invest time in and if not then you’ll have fun allowing him to try different activities. It’s his life and you and Chrostian are only here to guide and help when need be.

Child/Parent Prompt List v.2 • Number 5
“I Hate You!”
“I HATE YOU!” Your son screamed at the top of his lungs. So loud you were kind of scared that the neighbours would complain or call the police because of how loud he was screaming. Screaming both those words and noise. Along with screaming, he stomped his foot down on the floor just to show how annoyed and angry he was by everything. His face was red and splotchy with tears streaming down his face with snot and everything. He looked a mess and your heart broke whilst looking at him. Well your heart broke but maybe not all because of that reasoning. He was honestly 3 going on 13 and it hurt you. He was having these outbursts somewhat regularly and screaming hurtful words but not once had he said that he hates you and now he has. Nobody told you having a child would be this hard or emotional.
Once your son had run off, probably to his room like a teenager, you allowed the emotions to come down and the tears to fall down your face. Considering your son was only 3 years old you are quite certain that he doesn’t fully understand the effect of those words but still, it hurt and he should probably know that. Your own flesh and blood, you carried him for 9 months and then birthed him just to have him scream that he hates you. It really hurt. At this point you were just on the floor crying and your son was elsewhere in the house. You knew that you should be watching him considering he was dangerously silent but right now you have to be away from him. What is the worst that a 3-year-old can do alone? Probably a lot actually but it would be worse if you were with him. Hopefully Tyrone will be back soon and can help deal with it all. Tyrone will be an innocent party and be able to talk to you both. You were way too mad to speak to your son and Tyrone wouldn’t be. You needed Tyrone.
Like your thoughts could be read, Tyrone walked through the door. Right as you needed you. You did however try to wipe the tears that were falling away just so it wouldn’t be as clear but it was all fruitless. Tyrone would know instantly. He knows you too well and when it comes to you and your son he is very observant so will notice your teary eyes and tear tracks on your face instantly and he’ll probably notice that your son isn’t anywhere near you like he usually is. He will notice these little things. As you were wiping the tears away and trying to make yourself look somewhat normal you could hear Tyrone talking as he walked around the house (you could also hear his footsteps) but you weren’t paying attention to the words he was saying as your mind was too preoccupied. Even though you wiped the tears off of your face, well tried, you still stayed sitting on the floor having no effort to move.
“Y/N. Y/N. Y/N.” Tyrone repeated over and over again when he made it into the same room as you trying to get your attention. As soon as it finally registered in your mind what he was saying, that he was trying to get your attention, you looked at him. There Tyrone was standing with your son in his arms who was hiding his head in Tyrone’s neck like he didn’t want to be seen. The moment that Tyrone saw your face his dropped instantly knowing that something was seriously wrong. With the way that your son was acting you thought that Tyrone would know that something was wrong then but when he saw your face you probably reiterated it. After allowing himself to take in your face you saw him say something softly to your son before putting him on the floor and instantly after his feet got placed on the floor he scurried off. Once again tears built in your eyes knowing that you will have to replay the moment again just so Tyrone can know what happened. You do not want to replay that moment again. Tyrone watched your son run off before giving you his undivided attention. Well as much attention as he can do with a 3-year-old running around the house.
“What happened?” Tyrone asked you seriously, kneeling down in front of you placing his right hand on your cheek and wiping the tears away with his thumb as they fell. Him kneeling in front of you, blocking everything else so he was the only thing you could see, his touch on your face, just everything he was doing was comforting. Something that was very much needed. You needed the comfort from somebody that loves you very much before reliving what happened again. Tyrone was 100% that comfort person.
“Take your time,” Tyrone comfortingly said when you hadn’t spoken for a couple of minutes. He had seen you attempt to speak but every time a sob would leave your mouth stopping you. You were getting frustrated that you couldn’t get the words out but Tyrone saying to you to take your time helped slightly. You could calm yourself down, catch your breath and manage to tell Tyrone what had happened whilst he was out of the house.
“Earlier he wanted some of the chocolate but I told him to wait a little bit longer until you come back because you were bringing ice cream and .ice cream is his favourite. If you brought back ice cream he would want that when he sees it and he shouldn’t have both ice cream and chocolate especially when it’s dinner soon. Anyway, he was screaming about it so I tried to explain and talk to him to try to get him to calm down. He shouted- He shouted that- He shouted that he hates me,” You explained to Tyrone and your voice broke by the end of it. A sob even left your lips and before you knew it you were fully crying once again.
“He said he hates me,” You repeated and as soon as those words left your lips you felt Tyrone’s arms wrap themselves around you and you just melted into them. One of his hands ran up and down your back whilst the other was tightly around you pulling you close to his own body like he was trying to protect you from the world. Like every other time you’re hurting and need comfort being in Tyrone’s arms helps so much. You’re so lucky you found someone who can help you deal with everything and be the only person in the world who is able to give you comfort. He is the only person who doesn’t get pushed away by you when feeling upset and he is the only person who is able to just hug you and make you feel so much better.
“I’ll talk to him,” Tyrone spoke out as soon as you had calmed down. As soon as he thought that you would be fine on your own for a few minutes. He’d rather not leave you alone when you’re feeling so devastated but if he wants to sort this mess out then he will have to. He has to talk to your son alone and get his side and then explain why saying ‘I hate you’ to people isn’t nice especially when he doesn't mean it. Before he left he pressed a soft kiss to your temple before wandering off to find your son.
Even when Tyrone moved away from you and left the room you didn’t move off of the floor, not even sure that you could, you just watched the door waiting for either your son or Tyrone, or even both to walk through the door and put this whole ordeal behind you. Is that too much to ask for? It’s been an emotional and hard day and you just want to put it all behind you so all you need is to make sure you make up with your son so hopefully Tyrone can get through to him. When you heard the sound of pitter-patter footsteps coming towards the room that you were in.
“I’m sorry mummy, I love you not hate you. I love you,” Your son cried running right into your arms. You pulled him into one of the tightest hugs that you ever had. So tight that you’re not even sure that he could breathe properly but he wasn’t complaining so you will continue to hold him this tight until he tries to leave your arms. It won’t be long until he no longer wants these hugs so you were going to cherish it for as long as possible. Whilst hugging him you tilted your head up to face Tyrone and mouthed ‘thank you’ to him and all he did in return was shrug. This was only part of his job. He started this family with you so it’s only part of his job to help deal with the arguments between you and your son just like you would if he was arguing with your son. He helps be the mediator and will always help.
“How about some ice cream?” Tyrone asked excitedly, clapping his hands together to make sure he got your attention. All he had to say was the word ‘ice cream’ and he had your son’s attention and that definitely happened this time. As soon as he heard the word ‘ice cream’ he wiggled out of your arms and ran off to the kitchen. Meanwhile, Tyrone helped you stand up and brought you into a soft kiss. A soft and affectionate kiss which you really needed after the day you’ve had. Tyrone’s kisses are almost magical and after the hug with your son, the magic was really working. Unfortunately, having a child means that the kiss couldn’t last long no matter how much you wanted it to, his lips were addicting. When you pulled away from one another you could finally ask him the question that was on your mind as soon as your son came running into the room.
“What did you even say to him?” You questioned Tyrone.
“That’s between me and him but he’ll hopefully think before he speaks now,” Tyrone confidently starting to make his way to the kitchen but you grabbed his arm before he could and raised one eyebrow at him without saying a word for a couple of seconds. You were trying to read his face and expressions and by the way that he’s acting you just knew that he had promised your son something. Tyrone is able to read you well but you are able to read him well and even maybe better. It’s what comes after years of dating and it can be helpful.
“You promised him ice cream didn’t you,” You chuckled to Tyrone who looked very bashful at that moment like he had been caught. You couldn’t help but laugh knowing that it probably wasn’t the smartest thing to do considering your son will probably expect this every time now but it worked and you liked the fact that it worked. As long as Tyrone actually spoke to him and explained it to him then you’re fine with a little bit of bribing. As much as you hate to admit it Tyrone bribes you with food occasionally and it works also.
“Maybe,” He laughed before you heard your son complaining from the kitchen so you and Tyrone had to make your way there before he has another tantrum. Not before another quick and sneaky kiss with Tyrone though. (Your child did start to complain even louder. You definitely have to teach your son patience.)

Let’s Go Watch Daddy Play • Kostas Tsimikas
Tumblr media
Child/Parent Prompt List v.2 • Number 4
“Can we go watch daddy play?”
“Can we go watch Daddy play?” Your daughter begged you and you were already planning on taking her to the game but her begging you melted your heart slightly. It was sweet to see how much she wanted to see her dad play. Kostas would 100% be playing this game too considering Andrew Robertson was currently injured and unable to play and therefore Kostas would be Liverpool’s left-back for the game. You do take your daughter to a lot of Liverpool games even though it’s not definite whether or not Kostas would be playing considering he is the second option to Andrew Robertson but still you make sure you turn up to the games with your child just in case. It’s nice for your daughter to see her father playing even if it isn’t for the full 90 minutes and it’s nice to support Kostas and the team even if Kostas isn’t playing. Never before has your child literally begged to go to a game though.
3 years you’ve been in Liverpool for now and never has your child ever begged to go to a game. Yes she wants to go and asks to go but never in this begging voice she has put on now. It’s blatantly clear that she knows that he was playing tonight and was now begging you to go to Anfield. It was sweet that she wanted to go so badly to watch and support Kostas. The thing was that you were already planning to go to the game before your daughter started begging you. It had been planned since Kostas told you about Andy’s injury and even before then and that’s why you and your child were wearing your ‘TSIMIKAS 21’ tops. Apparently your child hadn’t put any of that together yet considering they were nearly in tears all of this. If you weren’t going to the match why would you both be wearing those tops?
“Hey Sweetie. No tears, please. We are going to the game just look down at your top. See you’re wearing one of Daddy’s tops,” You explained trying to calm them down not wanting any tears from her. You saw her teary eyes look down at her top looking for the Liverpool badge before a huge smile came over her face when she seemed to realise that the both of you were going to the match. How can one simple thing change her mood drastically? It’s honestly magic but you were happy to see the smile come back over her face and not just the teary eyes.
“Can we go now?” She then started to beg obviously thinking the sooner you get there the quicker the game starts and the quicker she can see her daddy. Unfortunately it doesn’t work like that but in her child mind it does. Taking a glance at the clock you saw that you still have several hours until the game kicks off and you do want to be at the stadium early but not this earlier. Your daughter though was looking really eager to go now so you knew you had to find some reasons to pass the time before you leave. Anything to keep her entertained and distracted for an hour or so before leaving.
“We have to do your hair before we can go,” You told her hoping that would kill some time. Her hair usually takes a while and you can make it take longer so that is some time killed. Instantly your daughter ran off grabbing her hair brush and hair bands so you could do her hair so whilst she was grabbing them you took a seat on the sofa waiting for her. She came in with her big bag of hair bobbles and sat in front of you just waiting for you to start. You asked her what she wanted and she just shrugged so you had free reign over her hair. You decided to put it up so it is out of her face so it would be easier for her to watch the match especially if it’s windy. She won’t want her hair blowing in her face annoying her and distracting her from the game. Putting it up was just the best and easiest option (and it took more time).
“Can we go now,” Your daughter asked once again once her hair was done and out of her face. Taking another glance at the clock you noticed that it was still too early to be leaving but there was nothing else you could do.
“Go and get your shoes on,” You sighed giving in to her and deciding to leave early. Maybe you could even see Kostas before the game if you’re there early as you have managed to do that before a couple of times. Your daughter instantly ran to put her trainers on whilst you made sure that you had everything that you would need because once you leave you definitely aren’t coming back until the game has finished.
“Mummy. Hurry,” Your daughter said when you were taking too long. Rolling your eyes at her impatient antics you made your way over to her and put your own shoes on which did make her happy. Once your shoes were on the two of you left the house together and made your way to Anfield. It was busy out because it was a big game for Liverpool but the atmosphere around it was incredible. It’s one of the things that you love about home games and although it was still a couple of hours until kick-off and you were still a little bit away from the stadium yet the atmosphere was amazing and you were getting goosebumps thinking about what it would be like in the stadium during the game.
Arriving at Anfield you went to grab some food trying to kill some time before going into the actual stadium and your daughter can take a while to eat so that will definitely kill much-needed time. You had messaged Kostas on the way over here to let him know that you will be at the stadium early and if he is able to get away for a few minutes then your daughter would really love to see him before the match. As the two of you ate whatever food you had brought you kept your phone close and kept checking it. Whilst your daughter rambled on and ate you kept checking your phone to see if Kostas had messaged and also you were checking the time for when you could go into the stadium.
“Time to take our seats,” You told your daughter once she had finished her food. It wasn’t actually time to take your seats since it was still a little bit too early but you could take her to them now and let her get all of her excitable energy out without annoying any innocent people.
Once you got to your seats your daughter looked around in amazement. She was just pointing to everything in the stadium like she had never been here before or more like you had never been here before. Every little thing was exciting for her and she would only get more excited when more and more fans enter the stadium. She was bouncing off the walls trying to explain something to you, non-football related, when you got a text from Kostas. You knew that your daughter would be excited by seeing Kostas so although you try to say no phones when spending time with your daughter you got out and responded to Kostas’ message.
From Kostas: You can come on down briefly if you want. I’ll meet you by the stairs. xxx
To Kostas: See you in a minute or so. xxx
Putting your phone back in your pocket you asked if she wanted to see her daddy very briefly before the match and she enthusiastically nodded so the two of you made your way to the place where you would be meeting Kostas. You knew exactly where it was because you and your daughter had met Kostas here on a couple of occasions before when you were early. Both your daughter and Kostas enjoy this moment mainly because your daughter gets to see her daddy but at the same time Kostas loves it because it calms him down before the game. Seeing both you and your daughter calms him down and makes him focus more on the match so it’s not a distraction like some people would say it actually helps him concentrate on the game.
“Daddy,” She screamed as soon as she saw Kostas standing there at the bottom of the stairs. Kostas knelt down on the floor and opened his arms and once your daughter had carefully made her way down the stairs she ran into them. She giggled as Kostas spun her around and held her close in his arms. The three of you talked briefly, mainly allowing your daughter to just babble on about everything and anything whilst you and Kostas just listened to her. That’s all the meeting was until one of the members of the Liverpool team came saying that they need Kostas back.
“Good luck Daddy. See you after the game,” Your daughter told him when it was time for him to go out for the warm-up. She pressed a kiss against his nose, it’s their little tradition and she didn’t get to do it this morning, before giving him a quick high five.
“I’ll play well just for you,” Kostas said, kissing her nose causing your daughter to burst into giggles before putting her on the floor and turning his attention to you.
“Good luck,” You said before leaning in and pressing a brief kiss against Kostas’ lips since he really had to get going. The kiss was a bit too long for your daughter though who started to pull on your arm showing you that you should get moving and you really did have to get moving.
“Come on mummy we have to watch Daddy play,” She shouted when she realised her pulling your arm wasn’t doing anything. You and Kostas chuckled against each other's lips before actually pulling away. After one final wave Kostas went towards the pitch so you could warm up with the rest of the team and your daughter dragged you back to your seats so she could see her daddy on the pitch. (Every time Kostas had the ball or she caught sight of him she would scream ‘daddy’ and cheer. She adored watching him play so you’re always glad when he does play and you can bring your daughter. They are memories that she will be able to look back on happily.)

Missed First Steps, Spoken First Words • Lionel Messi
Tumblr media
Child/Parent Prompt List v.2 • Number 3
“I can’t believe I missed their first steps!”
“I can’t believe I missed their first steps!” Leo complained over the phone to you and he genuinely sounded upset that he had missed his son's first-ever steps. Obviously he knew that this would be a possibility considering that he travels a bit around France throughout the whole season and then on top of that he has to travel around Europe for the European Tournaments so there are times when he is not home for a couple of days so he was bound to miss something yet he was still upset. All he wanted was to not miss one of your baby’s firsts but unfortunately it didn’t work that way. When you sent him the video he couldn’t help but smile to himself because through the screen he was seeing his son take some wobbly steps. His first steps.
“It’s why I recorded them for you plus you will be back in a couple of hours and you can see it then,” You tried to reassure him but as you finished speaking you realised how fruitless it was. Also, your words sounded a bit condescending rather than reassuring. You were wondering whether or not it was a good idea to record his first steps and actually send them to Leo. Maybe you should’ve recorded them and not sent them to him. You really wanted his first steps caught on camera and thought that it would be nice to send them to Lionel but now you understand his disappointment about missing them you feel bad. Maybe you should’ve allowed Lionel to see them when he gets back and act like it was the first time you saw them. It’s too late now anyway.
“Yeah, I guess. Just disappointed that I missed them. I’ve got to go now anyway,” Lionel told you.
“Okay, we’ll see you when you get back. I love you,” You replied softly.
“I love you too,” he said before hanging up so he could finish doing whatever he needed to before coming home. All you could do was sigh once the phone got disconnected and put that away before finding ways to entertain your son for the next couple of hours whilst you wait for Lionel to come back. Thankfully it’s your son's naptime soon so that should at least pass a bit of the time.
A couple of hours later when your son had just woken up from his nap you heard the front door open and you knew that Lionel was finally back. Well you hoped that it was Lionel or else a random stranger has just made their way into your home and you are nearly certain that you did lock the door. Your son obviously knew that Lionel was back too and he instantly perked up and started to wiggle to get off of your lap to go to his papa. Knowing that he wouldn’t be able to walk the whole way you decided to carry him to the end of the corridor before putting him down so he could walk the final steps. When you were at the end of the corridor Lionel instantly noticed the two of you yet no words were exchanged. All he did was kneel down to the height of your son and held his arms out so your son would hopefully walk into them.
No movement. Your son made no movement whatsoever towards his papa just staring between you and him. You could see that he wanted to move but didn’t know how. He had only just started taking steps without assistance so maybe that was why he was slightly hesitant and didn’t know how to step. Maybe he just needed a little bit of encouragement.
“Come to Papa,” Leo spoke out and that seemed to be the encouragement that your son needed because as soon as Lionel said those words your son took a shaky step towards him. Throughout the whole ordeal you didn’t even watch your son take the steps since you had seen it earlier and instead you watched Lionel’s face. The way his face lit up when your son took the steps towards him was precious. His face lit up more than it did when he won the treble or sextuple for Barcelona or when he FINALLY won the Copa America with Argentina. His first major international trophy. His face was brighter than when he won the World Cup. The freaking World Cup. Your son walking looked to be one of his proudest achievements. It was sweet, maybe a bit over dramatic since winning the World Cup and however many Ballon D’Ors is special, but nonetheless still sweet.
“Papa,” Those words knocked you out of your thoughts and you turned your attention away from Lionel’s face and towards your son who was now nestled in his arms obviously walking at least son of that distance, the same son who had just said that one word. His first proper word. His first proper word that was understandable and made actual sense in the context. Usually he just babbles and now words can be made out. Yes it’s probably a bit late to be saying some form of words (you were looking for a speech therapist just in case) but he must just take after Lionel like that and just say very little to people. Also, being raised in a bilingual household probably doesn’t help the matter either because he may get a little confused. Your son is just naturally quiet, a lot like Lionel. Quiet and doesn’t speak any words at all and he doesn’t really babble to anyone other than you or Lionel so now that he has finally spoken his first word shocked you both. You and Lionel were just staring at one another stunned in silence.
“What was that Nene?” You questioned your son to see if he would say it again. He turned his attention to you and stared at you with those wide brown eyes which reminds you so much of Lionel. He literally is a mini Leo.
“P-P-Pa-Papa,” Your son repeated looking right at Lionel.
“Yeah that’s Papa, Nene,” You managed to get out as your son fell back into Lionel’s arms not wanting to let him go for a minute. He is always like this when Lionel gets back from a night or two away. So clingy and cuddly but he’s never said the word papa or even attempted to say it but just after he took his first steps which Lionel missed he said his first word right to him.
“He just-” Lionel attempted to say, struggling to find the exact words.
“Yeah,” You interrupted slightly in disbelief but slowly the shock left your body and a huge smile plastered itself over your face. So many firsts for your son and in such a short time too. It was a shock but also incredible. It was a mix of emotions. Not like your son cared though he was just happy his papa was back.
“I may have missed his first steps but at least I was here for his first proper words,” Lionel spoke out loud, cuddling your son even closer who seemed to be really happy just nestled into his arms. Your son adores cuddles and just being close to you and Lionel so it is no wonder that he was so comfortable just staying there with Lionel whilst the two of you had a minor freakout over everything. Over the fact your son was growing up.
“Especially because it was papa,” You added and he just nodded at you. Some people would be mad that their baby says papa before mama considering everything that the mother does especially carrying the baby for 9 months but for you it didn’t matter. If anything you loved the fact that his first word was papa and said it right to Lionel especially since he was feeling so down about missing his son’s first steps. It was perfect.
“Our Nene is growing up,” Was all Lionel said again as your son pulled away from Lionel and started pointing to a toy showing Leo that he wanted to play. All you could do was nod your head getting really emotional over the thought of your son growing up way too fast right in front of you. It feels like it was only last week that you gave birth to him and now he’s taking his first steps and saying his first words. Next he’ll be walking fully on his own, speaking in sentences and learning to use the potty. Time moves quickly with children and you don’t want to miss a second of your child growing up especially considering Lionel is going to miss stuff because of his work and travelling. At that thought you followed Lionel and your son into the living room so the three of you could spend time as a family.

Introduction Of New Sibling • Ben Chilwell
Tumblr media
Child/Parent Prompt List v.2 • Number 2
“I wonder how our son/daughter will react to us bringing home their new baby brother/sister.”
“I wonder how our daughter will react to us bringing home her new baby brother” Ben randomly spoke as the two of you drove home from the hospital. Well Ben was driving and you were sitting in the back with your newborn son in his car seat making sure that he was alright throughout the whole drive. How your daughter will react to the two of you bringing home her new sibling was something that the two of you had been thinking about and discussing for a while but now it’s actually going to happen. Your daughter is going to meet her baby brother. You’ve tried a lot to make her feel included and make her have some sort of bond with him although he wasn’t born yet. You’ve even brought a present for your daughter to have from her younger brother but still what if she still hates him? It was a constant fear that ran through you throughout your whole pregnancy and now after 9 long months you were going to be faced with the actual possibility of this.
Since your daughter found out that she was going to be a big sister she always said that she wanted a little sister and it could be because she was going through the boys are gross stage and hates being around any boys except her dad. She’s even called some of Ben’s teammates gross, ones she used to absolutely adore, much to your amusement. Anyway, she really wanted a little sister and you knew this but now you were bringing home a little boy and you were hoping that she would be okay with a brother. It was making you feel all angsty and you were trying not to dwell on it at all but it’s all you can think about. Maybe you should’ve found out the baby’s gender before giving birth to him as it would’ve been better for your daughter. A bit too late now.
To make this whole thing potentially worse your daughter doesn’t even know that you’ve gone to the hospital to have the baby which can go one of two ways. Seriously though, you put your daughter to bed at her normal bedtime and sometime after she went to bed your water broke. You had been having slight contractions during the day but just thought it could be Braxton Hicks so ignored it to look after your child but once your water broke you could no longer ignore it and you and Ben went to the hospital to have this baby. Well you went to the hospital after his mum arrived to watch your daughter. She was the closest family member so was able to make it to the both of you relatively quickly so you could make it to the hospital and have the baby there which you ended up doing. Thankfully the actual labour didn’t last long and at 11:54 pm that same night you had your son in your arms and Ben was next to you running his finger over your son's cheek. The doctors and midwives checked both you and your son over time and time again making sure that everything was fine and your son was feeding fine and you and Ben knew what you were doing (of course you did it was your second child) and a few hours later both you and your son were released and you could all go back to the comfort of your home. Back to see your daughter and introduce her to the newest addition to the household. So basically whilst your daughter was asleep you had a baby and he would be there back at the house before she woke up. Would that make it easier or harder for her?
“Hopefully well,” You choked up. The closer Ben was getting to your home the more nervous you were getting over it all and all you could do was busy yourself by looking at your son. As you said that Ben took a quick glance in the mirror and he saw you frowning but since he was driving there was nothing he could really do to reassure you apart from words.
“She’ll be fine. She loves the babies that our friends and family have had and she’s great with them so I’m sure she’ll love her little brother. Plus I believe the present will help massively,” Ben tried to reassure you, also chuckling at the thought of how your daughter was going to react to the present. She wasn’t exactly spoiled but she does love presents and probably gets them a lot more than other children but nonetheless, she always gets excited for them. You just let out a hum showing Ben that you were listening yet you didn’t say anything back. He didn’t even try to make conversation back to you just focusing on the road allowing you to get lost in your thoughts once again.
There are several videos all over the internet of older siblings meeting their newborn siblings and there's always a different reaction. You’ve watched several ones where the older siblings scream and throw all kinds of tantrums over it and try to find ways to get rid of their siblings. The way they question if the baby is staying behind or staying with grandparents or something along those lines and it would break your heart. Of course, there are other videos where the oldest absolutely adores the new baby and will love and cherish them and do everything they can to help but those videos showed you that it can go either way and that was a terrifying thought.
“We’re home,” Ben softly said when he pulled up outside of the house and that’s what knocked you out of your thoughts. Guess you don’t have to wait much longer to find out what the outcome will be.
Slowly you got yourself out of the car with Ben’s help and then Ben ran over to get your son out of the car whilst you walked over to the front door to unlock it. It was thankfully silent in the house meaning your daughter was still asleep like she should be and you were guessing that your mother-in-law was also asleep now but in the guest bedroom. Walking through the door the tiredness of it all suddenly hit you and you decided to just lie on the sofa trusting Ben to deal with your son. No words were exchanged as Ben put your son in this little cot that you had set up downstairs ready for when the new baby arrived just so you wouldn’t have to carry them upstairs every single time (plus your daughter was loving it too). With your eyes half closed you watched as Ben grabbed a blanket and put it around you before climbing in behind and cuddling you close. He made sure to be careful but still held you close as the two of you attempted to get some more sleep considering you’ve barely had any in the last 24 hours so any amount of sleep will help you.
A couple of hours later, not even that, you and Ben were awake once again feeding your son when you heard little footsteps from above. From the footsteps you could tell that it was your daughter walking around and that she had just gone into your bedroom so any minute now she will make her way downstairs. The nerves of your daughter meeting her new brother were really kicking in now but you just took some deep breaths whilst watching your son, burping your son and waited for your daughter to make her way down to you.
“And little miss is awake. Time for her to meet her little brother,” Ben chuckled wrapping one arm around you just for a bit of comfort knowing how anxious you were getting over this once again. Just as he uttered those words you saw two little legs walking down the stairs holding onto the bannister with one hand whilst the other was holding onto her most precious teddy. Once she was at the bottom of the stairs she just stood there staring for a couple of seconds and you and Ben just watched.
“Baby,” Your daughter said softly pointing to the baby that was nestled safely in your arms.
“Yeah, baby. This is your baby brother. Come and meet him,” Ben said standing up to carry her over to the two of you and also giving her a cuddle and kiss whilst asking how she slept (not like she answered him though or responded to his actions too busy staring at the little baby in your arms). For a moment she just stared at him not saying a word for a minute but you were guessing that she was processing the whole thing. After all, when she went to sleep the baby wasn’t here and now she’s awake the baby is here. It’s a lot to take in, especially for a young child.
“Hi baby,” Your daughter eventually spoke again.
“Baby no tummy,” She then said taking a look at your tummy which was still prominent not as prominent but still prominent (no tummies don’t go flat after giving birth no matter what gets shown in the movies) but obviously there was no baby in there any longer.
“No the baby is no longer in my tummy,” You told her softly kissing her forehead. Ben covered her so she could actually hold the baby obviously with his support. As soon as he was placed in her arms her eyes got all wide and she allowed one of her hands to land on his face being really careful and just running her hand over his face (with you and Ben watching obviously). She wouldn’t take her eyes off of him for a minute. It was honestly the longest that she had sat still forever and she wasn’t even talking just staring. Eventually you pulled the baby away from her, he was starting to get fussy, but still her eyes were on him in complete awe.
“Your baby brother got you something,” Ben told her but your daughter didn’t even take a glance at him too entranced by your newborn son. She didn’t care about the present, she was too busy showing him and babbling to him about her teddy which reminds you, you need to buy him some sort of teddy. Maybe your daughter can get him one? That's a conversation for another time though, when you’ve recovered a bit.
“Maybe we had nothing to worry about,” You chuckled just watching your daughter interact with your son wanting to take this all in. This little family moment as just the 4 of you. Little did you know that Ben’s mother was sitting on the stairs allowing you this moment together but also taking photos knowing that you would appreciate it later.

Baby’s First Match • Pedri
Tumblr media
Child/Parent Prompt List v.2 • Number 1
“Our baby’s first match. I’m so excited. They’re following in my footsteps!”
“Our baby’s first match. I’m so excited. They’re following in my footsteps!” Pedri excitedly said and he was near enough bouncing on his toes as the two of you went to take a seat at the sidelines. He was a bit too excited for your son’s first-ever football match and you were slightly nervous that he would go and put a lot of pressure on your son. Not that Pedri was that kind of person but he’s so excited and knows what it takes to become a footballer so may try to push him however you know how competitive it can be and just want your son to enjoy it especially at this point. What is the point of doing it if it’s not fun?
“Don’t put any pressure on him, just let him enjoy the game,” You told Pedri as you looked at your son who was with the coach of the team and his friends. He was now 5 years old and getting ready for his first-ever match and you can remember the excitement in your son’s eyes the first time that he got to go to training and how much he babbled about it when he got home. He loved it and enjoys every minute of it but now there’s a competition for his age group you’re scared he’ll get more pressure and focus more on the competition aspect than the fun part. He’s young and should enjoy it.
“I promise you I won’t. It’s all fun,” Pedri said trying to reassure you just as the game kicked off. You’ll just have to see but you do trust Pedri.
Throughout the game, Pedri was relatively calm but when your son would get the ball and dribble with it Pedri would get up on his feet and excitedly scream and shout which would make you slightly embarrassed because eyes would turn to the two of you but Pedri didn’t care. His son was playing and he was going to be the embarrassing parent and support his child. If the other parents don’t like it then too bad because Pedri is going to show his support to his son and the team. Your son seemed to appreciate it though because he had this huge smile on his face throughout the whole game even when the other team scored and that made you relax because he wasn’t bothered that his team was losing. It wasn’t long until your son scored the first goal for his team though making the score equal and yes you did clap and cheer for him but Pedri was fully shouting and screaming like your son had scored the World Cup winner. At least he cared because some don’t.
That wasn’t the only thing that your son did during the game. At one point he got the ball from the other team before turning around and dribbling around and past about 5 players from the opposing team and managed to pass the ball to someone on his team who ended up scoring. Some football skills must be genetic but it must help that he has been doing this since he could walk and even before then when Pedri would pick him up and manoeuvre him to kick the ball. At that moment you knew Pedri wanted your son to follow in his footsteps and that’s why you somewhat thought your son may be doing this just for Pedri but seeing the way that your son was you knew that he wanted to do this too. You glanced at Pedri who was still watching your son like a hawk and had one of the proudest looks and biggest smiles on his face.
“He’s a natural,” Pedri spoke out to nobody in particular.
“He’s a mini you,” you replied but Pedri wasn’t listening by this point even though you responded near enough instantly. He was already screaming and shouting once again supporting your son who had the ball again. Looking at Pedri properly his cheeks were all red from all of the jumping up and down that he was doing your son also had really red cheeks from running around the pitch. He looked a lot like Pedri does during his own football matches. God he really was Pedri’s son.
As soon as the match finished your son instantly came running over to Pedri with the biggest smile on his face showing how much fun he had which made you feel a lot better. He wasn’t just doing this for Pedri he was actually enjoying it himself. Pedri instantly picked your son up and cuddled him close before pushing his hair back and away from his face, feeling how hot he was, Pedri knew that he needed to get out of the sun and cool down. He was still too active and bouncing around his arms, too much adrenaline still pumping around his small body.
“You see that papa. I scored and I- and I as-assis-assisteded one,” Your son babbled on like the two of you hadn’t watched the whole game. There is that energy. Also, that is much like Pedri. Pedri loves to ramble to you about games, especially ones that he did well in, and you just sit there and listen. It’s exactly what your son is doing now.
“I saw Osito you were so good. Did you have fun though?” Pedri asked him. From the look on his face he definitely had a lot of fun and this would be the main topic of conversation with whoever talks with him for the next week or so. It has been the conversation for the past week with his excitement about the game so now it was clear all he was going to talk about was playing in the game and scoring a goal as well as assisting one or as he put it ‘assisteded one’.
“Lots and lots.” Your son repeated over and over again clearly enjoying his first match.
“Do you want to do it again?” Pedri carefully asked. Pedri knew that his heart would break if your son said no and although it was obvious your son enjoyed it he could still say no. It was always important to ask and find out if he actually wanted to do it or not. Always give the child a choice and never force them.
“Yeah, can I?” Your son questioned all wide-eyed staring at Pedri begging him to bring him back for another game.
“As long as you’re having fun with it you can continue with it as long as you want,” You finally spoke up, placing a soft kiss against his head and your son just smiled brightly at you.
“I’m going to be better than Papa,” He said stubbornly as the three of you walked to the car. Pedri was still looking proud and you just wanted him to enjoy it all knowing that eventually the pressures of the sport will come especially with him being Pedri’s son. That’s why part of you never wanted your son to play the game because of the pressures of him being Pedri’s son but if he wants to do it you’re not going to stop him you’ll just make sure he does truly enjoy it.
“Yeah, you can tell that from your first-ever match?” Pedri joked with him and your son just nodded before laying his head against Pedri’s shoulder, the game obviously tiring him out and the adrenaline was now finally wearing off. The three of you made your way home and hopefully all of this exercise would mean your son would manage to go to sleep easily tonight. Highly unlikely though due to the excitement.

Well that's me off all social media for the next month... Fucks sake.
(I also fell asleep during the final because I was that bored. Was it actually any good?)

Why do my family and other people think it’s crazy that I watched the Women’s Champions League Final over the Mens FA Cup Final?
