"I know I didn't and still have absolutely no business to be jealous about you and Lando, cause you and I are not dating or anything and you don't owe me any kind of explanation about the type of relationship you have with him. But after the great time we spend together in Long Beach... I don't know, it just hurted seeing you with him. But that doesn't excuse anything and I just regret so much the way I've been treating you since then, it hasn't been fair to you at all."

"And it didn't cross your mind that we could have had this conversation way before now? I mean, you waited three weeks to finally talk to me like a decent human being, how-"

"I know and I'm so-"

"However, I do appreciate that you're finally acknowledging all of this and communicating with me like an actual adult. I know it's not always easy to do. And although I don't owe you any kind of explanation, I just want you to know that there's nothing going on between Lando and me."

LOVE LANGUAGES!

pairing: pato’o ward x reader

summary: pato is a passionate man in loving. so why don't we dive deeper into his love life with his girlfriend with the list of his favorite love languages.

author's note: i'm literally BLUSHING when i saw the video and halfway writing this like whaaat, he knows what he's doing with his words over ladies. i'm sure.

♪ listening to: love language - ariana grande

PHYSICAL TOUCH

“big spoon or little spoon?”

there was silence before he answered in a low voice. “little spoon,” he laughed.

... pato likes to hug you when you sleep, it has become a habit for the both of you when you're sleeping and there's pato hugging you from behind and spooning you.

he usually is a proud big spoon-er like usual, but his behavior lately got you wondering: what is happening to him?

“can i be there?” he said one day as he's spooning you, making you arch your brow in confusion.

“be where?” but before you can even question further, he flipped you over, so you face his back, making him the small spoon instead of you.

“baby!” you laughed as pato quickly grabbing your hands to hug him from behind. “i like this. it's warm.” he dug his face to the pillow.

You tightened your hug on him while making yourself comfortable being a big spoon and hugging him from behind. “you're right, i think i might liked this one too.” you mumbled, kissing the back of his neck.

SQUEEZING YOUR HAND THREE TIMES

... everytime when you were with him, you're always holding his hand.

no matter what occasion you're in, you're always holding his. it's now becoming a habit when you're with him as when you hold his hand, and he's holding your hand.

you and pato have a habit where the both you will hold each other's hands and give them three squeezes to sign love.

“i love you,” he squeezes your hand when you're crossing the streets.

you smiled and squeezed his hand back, “i love you too.”

FOREHEAD KISSES

... forehead kisses is his favorite kiss of all. but not that he's going to say no to the any other one, but his forehead kiss to you is so far going to be his favorite to do.

not only because it's a simple gestures to express his love, gratitude and appreciation, but also it's his common act for saying ‘thank you’, ‘i miss you’, and even ‘i love you.’

and for that one time after he's winning the race, he's quickly to open his balaclava and ear protection, and only to come and approach you afterwards in the garage.

“congratulations for your win, honey, you deserve it!” you squeals, hugging him tight right after you see him entering the garage. “aw, thank you, cielo.” he kissed your forehead after the hug was ended. earning a bunch ‘aww’s from the mechanics and staffs, including david who's the one just entered and watched the whole moment.

“that's really sweet, you guys,” one of the mechanic said and he smiled as he embraced you to his side, kissing the side of your head soon after.

BREAKFAST IN BED

... serving breakfast in bed to you is a must-do activity to spent with you (or for you) during his break. it doesn't always have to be on weekends, but on some occasions, breakfast in bed is something that he likes to do to fill his time when he's off racing.

and in some point in every morning, he's always serving you a warm delicious breakfast to enjoy in the morning with his company.

“wake up, princess, i got you something special.” he whispered to your ear as the delicious smells going through your nostrils and immediately wake you up.

so you woke up with a tray of a delicious stake of pancakes, a bowl of mixed fruits, and a mineral water to hydrate you after you wake up. it's literally the perfect way to wake up in the morning.

“thank you, honey.” you kissed his cheek as he giving you the glass of water for you to take. “you're welcome, cielo.”

GIFT GIVING (& SURPRISING YOU WITH IT)

... not only physical and some romantic gestures, pato also likes to buy you gifts. no matter how expensive it is, he's always buying you something that you want. or not.

“happy anniversary, darling girl.” he said while carrying a gift bag in his hand. “but it's not... our anniversary just yet,” you stuttered, not at all expecting what he was planning.

"i know, but open it. this is my gift to you.” he kissed your lips afterward, making you even more curious about what he was gifting you. you took out the contents of the bag, the box, and finally a cloth wrapper through it and leaving his eyes looking sparkling, definitely waiting for your reaction for it.

you gasped as you revealed the real content of the box, “a serpenti tubogas bvlgari watch? where did you get this?” he giggled when he saw the look on your face. "how about it, that's good, right?"

"good?! i love it! how did you know i wanted this for so long?” your voice high as you're squealing, your face lighting up with joy, but he just smiled, "i definitely know." he murmured, pressing a kiss to your forehead once more, then to your lips.

“i love you so fucking much, patricio. i can't wait to see the more of you” you started to interrupt the kiss, which was only answered with a playful groans from him, making you giggle. “i love you too, y/n.” he whispered to your lips as he resumed the kiss who will turned into something more.

QUALITY TIME

... last but not least of his usual routine for everyday is to spending time with you for whatever reason it is.

it can be just for going to the gym, running, watching netflix, doing a self care together, shopping, playing with his dogs or go to the fashion week together, that's all in.

but not only that, he also often does other activities with you, such as cooking his favorite food in his kitchen, or pretending to be a chef, for example;

“oh yes, mister patricio, get me a pinch of salt, please.” You spoke like an Italian chef cooking pasta, making him laugh out loud when he heard you speak with that accent.

“i'll get it right away, my cooking partner.” he responded by speaking with the same accent as you.

“no, i am a chef (🤌), mister patricio.” you said making the hand gesture at him, making him laugh harder and then ended up coughing because of his loud laugh.

“that's brilliant! ah, i've never heard you saying things like this before. that's really funny.”

“so where's the salt, mister patrici—”

“let's get back to normal shall we?”

Through thick and thin

Pairing: Pato O'Ward x reader

Sumary: The 107th Indy 500 doesn't go as planned for your boyfriend.

Notes: For people who are not familiar with the Indy Car Series and like F1 I really recommend it, it's so fast and exciting. This fanfic is about Pato O'Ward, a young Mexican pilot who is very talented, give him a chance.

It was so frustrating watching how with only seven more laps to go, his oportunities to win the race had reduced to zero right in font of your eyes, with no way you could stop Ericsson from doing that cuestionable move against Pato, if you were feeling that way you couldn't even imagine how your devoted boyfriend must be right now.

Thankfully you saw him get out of the car with no major injuries as he was briefly checked by the medics, which helped you get your sould back into your body, seeing he was phisically alright. Time passed and he didn't try to reach you during the rest of the caotic event, of course you understood that he wanted to comunicate with his team about the crash, you knew he eventually will come back to you.

As you waited with his sister for him to come back to the motorhome, you both talk about the race and how unrightful the whole thing had been to Pato, Elba agreed that this will be a hard pill to swallow especially for him due to his chance to win the Indy 500 was closer than ever, you also concluted that once he came to you, you wouldn't push him to talk about what happened out there.

Minutes later, Pato came in looking exhausted with still remainds of anger in his antics, you watched Elba make the first move of aproachment towards him and saw the siblings share a compasionate hug.

"We're here for you, always" she said tightening their embrace.

He just nodded and let her free, directing his sad gaze towards you, the view of his watery eyes absolutly broke your heart and your body magnetically moved towards him, squeezing him so tight that almost fused your bodies together; Elba took that as a sign to go out of the room.

"I'm sorry, I didn't keep my promise of winning for you, amor" he whispered, voice so low you almost lost it.

"No, Pato", you separate a bit so you could face him, "this is all for you babe, you owe nothing yo no one, you did an amazing race and is definetly not your fault that that guy let you without track, corazón, you did an amazing race, I just wish you could get the reward you deserve for all your hardwork".

A sweet smile appeared on his face wihle he caught you back in his loving arms.

"Te amo, mucho" he concluded. (I love you so much)

"Me too, Patito, en las buenas y en las malas" (through thick and thin)

Chapter 5- All For Love Charles Leclerc

Elena’s POV

It had been over a week since what went down with Charles. Obviously we still talked to each other. But he vibe was different. Was I an idiot for making him wait for me. He could have an woman in this world so why did he want me.

I sat in my car as the engineers checked it and made sure everything was all set. I was in P1 in Maxs home race. He was directly behind me. I knew this race would be difficult.

“Elena radio check” Bono said. “Loud and clear Bono” I said. “Alright Elena we got a good race today good starting positions” Bono said. “Yeah we do” I said. Looking back in my mirror at Charles car. He was in P3.

“You alright Elena” Bono asked. “All good” I said. Everyone cleared the track and the lights went out and we were off. Defending a position against Max is one of the hardest things to do.

But I knew that I was better than him. He got to pushy always and tried to cut corners. But not with me. I’d never let him. I was able to hold my position for ten laps until Max had hit my car from behind and we spun off the track together.

I flew into the barrier. Landing sort of sideways. I then saw Charles go off after he hit some debris from maxs car. Max was off beside me. They both managed to get out but I was stuck.

“Elena are you alright” Bono said. “Yeah just a bit stuck here” I said. “Marshall’s are coming to help” Bono said. “Was that all Max” I said. “Yeah the F.I.A is looking into it Elena” Bono said.

Charles then ran over to help me out.

“Elena are you okay” Charles said. “Yeah Char just stuck” I said. He then managed to move the piece of metal that was trapping me. “Grab onto me” he said I wrapped my arms around him and he pulled me out. But I realized my necklace had fallen off somewhere.

I couldn’t lose that. Charles set me down on the grass for a second. I took my helmet off. The paramedics came over to check me out. But I was fine. Just a couple little cuts.

“What were you doing Elena” Max said. “Your the asshole that ran into the back of me” I said yelling. “Me you took up the whole track” Max said. “Your a sore loser Max you can’t take it when someone is better then you” I said standing up.

“You think your better than me you’ve never even won a world championship” Max said. “Hmmm… you know what Max this year I will” I said. “Yeah right” Max said. “Oh I will and when I do everyone will know who the better Verstappen” I said. “El come on” Charles said.

Later..

After the race I just hung out at the Mercedes paddock going over what happened. It was so annoying how Max got away with it. He always got away with everything he did.

“You alright” Lewis said. “Yeah.. he’s an idiot” I said petting Roscoe. “He’s a dick he could’ve killed you” Lewis said. “Yeah and Charles” I said. “You didn’t hear” George said. “Hear what” I said. “Charles never hit anything he just went off the track” George said. “I heard Ferrari is pissed” Lewis said.

“Excuse me for a moment” I said. I then began to walk over to the Ferrari paddock but was stopped by Pato. “Oh perfect just the Australian I was hoping to see” Pato said. “Hey Pato shouldn’t you be with Addie” I said.

“No actually I was hoping you could help me plan a date for mine and Addies anniversary” Pato said. “Yeah why not” I said. We then sat down outside of the Mercedes paddock. “So what should I do” Pato said. “Maybe a candle lit dinner on the balcony of our apartment” I said.

“Ahh anything else she’d enjoy” Pato said writing it down in his phone. “Well she’s like me she loves roses and maybe like pasta or something” I said. “Got it got it thank you El” Pato said. “Is that all” I said. “Yeah sorry go back to get your man” Pato said.

“He’s not my” I said. “Sure he’s not” Pato said walking away. I then got up and went to the Ferrari paddock to find Charles. I saw Carlos standing there talking to some engineers. So I went upstairs to find Charles.

He was sitting on a couch. But he looked upset to me. I then sat beside him.

“Hey Charles” I said. “El how are you feeling now” Charles said. “I’m fine now just lost my necklace I’m sorry” I said. “Ah it probably got flung across the track” Charles said.

“So whys everyone saying you went off intentionally” I said. “… I hit debris love” he said looking at me. “Charles” I said. “I did though you saw” Charles said. “Okay” I said. “Are you doing anything tonight” Charles said.

“Probably just going home Charles” I said. “Yeah summer break right” Charles said. “Silly season yeah plus I gotta sort things out” I said. “If you need help with stuff for your Mom I’ll be there” he said. “Thank you Charles for everything” I said hugging him.

Later that evening…

Addie stopped the car at the entrance to our apartment.

“What are you doing” I said. “Oh I gotta go see Pato something about a date night” Addie said. “Everyone has a boyfriend but me” I said. “April is at George’s so it’s just me” I said. “I’ll be back later this evening” Addie said.

“Yeah have fun miss P1” I said she laughed. “Bye El Bell see you later” she said driving off. I then went up to our apartment. And carried my suitcase up the stairs. I was just ready to relax honestly. I opened the door and set my bags on the couch.

I then shut the door. But something was different. Someone’s shoes were here. And I smelt good. But impossible nobody was home. Unless Danny was here again stealing my food. I then saw the balcony all lit up. So I went outside.

And there Charles stood. In a nice button up shirt and black pants. His hair all messy the way I liked it. But he looked good. And in his hands he held something.

“What are you doing here” I said. “I was hoping to have dinner with you” Charles said. “So you broke in” I said he laughed. “No Addie lent me her key but… before dinner I believe this belongs to you” he said holding up the necklace he had gotten me years ago.

I thought I lost it in that crash earlier.

“Char I thought I lost it” I said. “I saw it on the ground and it had a broken chain so I had my mom fix it” Charles said. I held my hair up as he put the necklace back on. “Thank you” I said he smiled.

“Wanna eat” he said. “Yeah” I said. “Don’t worry I didn’t cook” he said I laughed as we sat down. “I was gonna say” I said. “Well thank my mother” Charles said. “I thought it smelled familiar” I said. “I know her cooking is your favorite” Charles said.

We enjoyed a nice dinner together and just talked for a little while. But I still didn’t know what I wanted from him. Was I really ready for another relationship. We picked up the dishes and went inside. I then set them in the sink.

“Charles..” I said he looked at me. “Yes Elena” Charles said. Here it goes just ask him. Did he really go off the track for me. “Did you purposely go off the track for me” I said he hesitated. “Love I.. I did” Charles said. “But you could hurt your career Charles” I said.

“I don’t care about that.. the only thing that mattered to me in that moment was you” he said looking at me. “I .. love you.. Elena and I can’t lose you too so yeah I did” Charles said. “You’d risk your dreams for me” I said. “Elena you are my dream” Charles said I teared up.

And in that moment I knew. Nothing else mattered but him. That’s all I wanted. Daniel had never given me the feelings that Charles did. This was what true love really felt like.

I ran over and kissed him. He was all I wanted. There was nobody else.

“Charles.. I love you” I said looking into his eyes. “..I’ve waited so long to hear you say that” he said I kissed him again. “Stay with me” I said. “I’d want nothing more mon amour” he said picking me up and carrying me to my room.

The next day…

Charles POV

I woke up with Elena in my arms. It was everything that I had always wanted in life. I heard someone knock on the door.

“I’ll get it” Elena said softly. “No love I got it stay here” I said kissing her cheek. “You better come back” she said smiling. “I’ll be back” I said throwing my pants back on. I then left her room to answer the door.

I opened it to see Daniel. He was standing there with flowers. I’m assuming for Elena.

“Oh hey Charles… uhhh shirtless Charles” Daniel said. “Whats up” I said. “Just wanted to check on Elena after the race yesterday” Daniel said. “She’s fine just laying in bed” I said. “Yeah I knew this would happen eventually” Daniel said.

“What are you talking about” I asked. “You and Elena it’s always been you two” Daniel said. “I’m not following” I said. “Ummm just tell her I stopped by she knows where to find me” he said handing me the flowers.

I then shut the door. That was strange.

The Arrow McLaren team knew Pato and Mía were sentimentally involved with each other for a long time. When they informed them about it they'd been dating for almost ten months and it's been four month since that meeting. Back then they agreed that they'll keep their relationship private so it doesn't interfere in bussiness and to mantain the team image. Also because of Mía being and dating a driver, she was afraid of losing credibility.

Privately, Pato and Mía were the cutest couple for all of their friends. They met on karting when they were kids, then they reunite many years later in McLaren's Indycar team. They were together in the same team for five years as friends before they started dating.

At that time, Mía was feeling down because she didn't like any guy. The only masculine contact that she liked was Pato's, and thanks to some friend's advice she realized that it was because she was in love with Pato. Meanwhile, Pato had had a crush on Mía for the past five years.

And now they were doing a silly challege for the Arrow McLaren media team because of the upcoming season. Oh and David Malukas was also around.

"Hey guys, it's Mía," she waved at the camera with a smile.

"This is David," he scrunched his nose and imitated Mía.

"And I'm Pato," he said. The team put David in the middle so Pato and Mía didn't get handy all of a sudden. "And we're here to do the deaf, mute and blind challege. Were one of us is going to be deaf, other blind and other mute."

"And we're also baking a cake for the Arrow McLaren anniversary," explained David.

"If that's not enough, they're going to ask us questions once in a while," Mía said, with a smirk. "And all of us are going to be able to answer them

"But that's a lot of work..." David complained.

"I know," Mía whispered.

"Alright! Let's get into work, mates," Pato clapped his hands.

Mía quickly move to his side, messing the organization the team made. "How do we distribute them?" she rubbed her hands together, watching the tape, headphones and band the team got them.

"It looks like a weird sex kit, don't you think?" David said.

"Oh my God, Dave!" Mía exclaimed, hiding a laughter. "You're going mute."

Mía handed him the tape and he gave her a bad look.

"I'll take the headphones," Mía smiled triumphant. "You guys received my playlist, right?"

Mía looked around into the backstage, receiving a nod from their media manager Vic.

"I'm too cool to be mute," David complained.

Meanwhile Mía helped Pato tying the band around his eyes with a silly smile.

"Okey, we're ready," Pato said, after Mía made sure he couldn't see anything.

"Give me a banger, Vic!" Mía said, almost shouting. They started playing Cruel Summer and she sang along from the very first verse.

Pato tried caught her attention so Mía could read the recipe for him. He knew it would be a bad idea to put headphones on her girlfriend.

"Mía!" he didn't shout too much, but she kept singing. "MÍA, I NEED YOU TO READ THE RECIPE OUT LOUD,"

"EH?" she also started to scream.

"THE RECIPE," Pato kept shouting.

"THE RECIPE?"

"YES!" Pato almost jumped when Mía got it right.

David looked at the camera, sick of the couple.

"NICE!" Mía said and handed Pato the paper so he could read it. "Oh, wait."

Mía read him the recipe trying to control her voice while David had a long face because of not being able to talk.

"Alright," Pato felt around the table, preparing to bake. He search for Mía. "MÍA, I NEED YOU TO GUIDE ME TO MAKE THE CAKE."

"YOU DON'T HAVE TO SHOUT, BABE, I CAN READ YOUR LIPS," she nodded with a soft smile.

None of the couple notice the nickname, they must've been used to it. But David looked to Vic quickly, with a scared glance.

"Ok, guys, hand me the butter," Pato extended his hand and Mía had the impulse to lick it. She controlled herself for the team's sake.

"THE WHAT?" she shouted again.

David made space for himself and gave Pato the goddamn butter. Mía looked at them with disgust.

"Why has to be Pato the one to do everything?"

"Because you'd fuck it, hermosa," Pato said, vocalizing slowly so Mía understanded every word.

She gasped but not as loud as the media team after Pato's word.

"Get the fuck out of my way," Mía said, decided to make the cake once and for all. "Dave, let's do this together. Oh, I love this song."

Mía got distracted and started singing No Scrubs.

"Ok, guys. It's time for the first question," Vic said, trying to control everything that had been going on for the whole challenge. "And, please, get Mía's attention."

Both of the guys stared at Mía dancinc in the back and singing along. Pato tapped her shoulder, only to Mía singing it straight to his face. Pato didn't even try to pretend that he despised it. He just stared at her with loving eyes.

"No, I don't want your number. No, I don't wanna give you mine," Mía sang horribly but Pato couldn't stop looking at her.

"Oh my God, guys!" David peeled off the tape from his mouth, his expression fed up. "Hide it a little more, idiots."

Pato stopped laughing and turn his head to David, even though he couldn't see him. He raised his band a little to look at Vic and see what they were doing now.

"WHAT DID HE SAID?" Mía gave Pato a scared stare and took off one of the headphones. "What is going on?"

Mía talk only to Pato, almost whispering. Pato give Vic another glance and she just shrugged her shoulders, downplaying importance.

"Jus Dave being stupid," Pato explained and looked at David rasing his eyebrow, he nodded.

"Oh, nothing out of the ordinary then," Mía smiled and put her headphones back on.

"What was the question again?" Pato said, before giving Mía a loving stare.

I saw that Lando was angry and sad, but I knew it was my fucking fault, since coming out, I haven't called him even once.

"Lando, wait, this is my fault, yes, I made a mistake. I should have called you or written to you, but you kissed me. I don't know where to put this, sorry." Looking ahead, I knew this would be hard to digest, even if Logan was watching us. ,,What now?"

"Oscar, are you aware that Lando has a boyfriend?" I laughed at Oscar, who completely freezes upon hearing the news. "Boyfriend?" Who?" I was hoping something or someone from the background would film us or take photos. "I don't know if the birds are fluttering whether it's a Formula 2 guy or Charles' younger brother, I don't know the details either, only that they got together in the penultimate race." My reaction was a slap in the face, but a good one for Logan. "You got this on behalf of Charles, he would do the same for Arthur, damn he loves girls." "It's half true that he's bisexual and Charles knows it." "Fuck or not, Logan"

He giggled at them, his two cubs came last year and are already rumored to be cute. "Is it okay, boys, that the rumor is about my younger brother?" I beat them in the back. "I didn't say that he is with him centrally, but it could also be that he is dating a Formula 2 guy right now, Lando, don't say stupid things."
