ok some quick warm up doodles this morning to go with the chat i got... tw for torture, stalking, really sad stuff.

ok to start off with, jane/liu aren't TOO present in my story because jane and liu live really normal lives. most of their personal story is about recovery and growth, they were victims not aggressors. they're more involved in ninas story, rather than the overarching slender/operator paranormal problems...

jane grew up in an upper middle class household with incredibly loving parents. she was majoring in criminal psychology and lived with her parents, since they were close to the uni. it was during her second year in university that jeff began stalking her. he'd leave dead animals on her doorstep, light fires in her garbage cans, shatter windows without even entering the house, key her car, leave cryptic writings on her car that say stuff like '1f' (1female) to further scare her.

it wasn't that there was anything special about jane, but she had a super easy, very strict schedule to follow. her uni classes were all in the same building at the time, her car had a few cute stickers and decorations on/in her car that made it easy to spot, she only worked sat-mon at a cafe near her university. she was a happy person. easy victim he thought

eventually, while jane was out, he broke into her home and assaulted her parents. whether he used drugs or just stabbed them in the right place to make them immobile idk, but he got them tied up in the kitchen at some point. he was torturing them, doing the typical carved out smile bullshit, and he planned on leaving them for jane to find that night -- but, for the first time, her schedule was different. she came home from work while he was drenching the house in gasoline.

he panicked upon hearing her absolutely gutwrenching scream and quickly lit the trail of gasoline while she was trying to untie her dad (her mom was long gone by this point, her dad was barely managing a few wheezed breathes). he went to go finish jane off. he slashed her face, from her right temple, down her cheek, splitting her mouth in half and getting down to her left jaw. but the fire was spreading way faster than he anticipated, and he already heard sirens, so he bolted.

jane suffered 3rd degree burns covering her entire right leg and arm, it reached up her neck and her face, alongside some other parts of her body. she was pulled out of the fire, rushed to the hospital, and barely managed to survive.

jane had some outside family to support her, but her biggest supporter was her friend from middleschool mary vaugn. she moved into mary's house, took a semester off of school for recovery. the second she felt physically able to, she tried to drive herself right back into school, regardless of her mental condition.

she changed her major to criminal justice. she eventually graduated, fell in love with mary, got married, became a private investigator, etc. she spent a while working on jeff's case, losing sleep and hair over it- she was getting into some sketchy things to try and figure it out, because by this point jeff and ben were friends, and slenderman needs ben's help, so jeff's now protected by slenderman

but jane is one stubborn fucking woman and kept going. instead of sending the proxies to subdue jane, he sent sally.

sally was another poltergeist that kept haunting homes with newborn babies. she was attracting some attention, but slenderman cant physically stop a ghost - so he spent some time talking to sally, connecting with this little ghost girl and convincing her 'you're doing such a great job protecting all these infants, but this one needs you now'

he sent sally off to live with jane. mary's sister was staying with jane/mary after having a baby, so sally agreed to protect the baby. jane quickly welcomed sallys presense, always having believed good things of protective spirits. her mom used to tell her stories of how her grandmother's ghost would always come and soothe jane in her infancy (whether its true or not doesnt matter to jane) .

sally eventually became more than a presence to jane, almost completely integrating herself into her household's daily life. even after mary's sister and her baby left, sally stayed with jane. she felt safe there. (it helped that there were no men in the house too)

jane cares for sally like a daughter for a long time, and begins to redirect her life towards sally, rather than hatred for jeff. she never fully recovers from that night, and she never ever ever ever fucking 'forgives' jeff in any way, but she puts it aside for a while.

but sally is still a spirit, and does her fair share of wandering. she's always landing herself in the cornfields, the forest, etc, and jane goes frantic looking for her -- which is where she eventually bumps into the proxies. it's a huge mess, but she finds out what the fuck slenderman is and whats happening in that forest, but she just . . cant do anything about it. for sallys sake

eventually they get to the point where jane commonly finds herself walking in the forest with sally, or the proxies have to call jane and tell her to 'get her ghost kid' from the forest, etc.

at some point in this she also connects with liu. i don't know who reaches out first, whether it be liu desperately wanting to apologize for everything, or jane trying to figure out anything about jeff she can use to find him. this is how she finds out about nina.

jane smacked the shit out of nina when she first met her, in front of the proxies, who had to pull them apart. (i love nina but she deserved it after idolizing jeff). but nina is really fucking weird and began to idolize jane as well, and sally liked nina, which made it even more complicated, and that's why jane is the first person nina calls after jeff stabbed her ...

by this point janes hoping nina can heal, hoping liu can heal, hoping she herself can heal. ITS VERY HARD. its so unbelievably painful. that's basically where her story is at right now...

on a more positive note, she has a beautiful relationship with mary, and was hugely accepted in mary's family. she does poetry, creative writing, and is passionate about her career. she takes some extra creative writing/art courses at the local community college, just out of pure interest. she does her best to live a peaceful life

a bit off topic, but here's a little thing i copy and pasted from an old hc post too:

i cannot explain how close jane and her parents were. she was an only child in a upper middle class house to a lawyer and a real estate agent so she was always spoiled rotten, taken care of, always told how beautiful and smart she was. hence why losing them is the most fucking detrimental shit to ever happen to her. she literally worhsips her parents. she’s wore mothers wedding dress to her own wedding. her uncle(dads brother) walked her down the aisle holding a framed photo of her dad. she almost refused to walk during her university graduation because her parents couldn’t be there, despite the years worth of hardwork and dedication she put into it.

they are all FAR from done. keep in mind these are all just my initial concepts and i plan to do in-depth design sheets as i go to explore their designs more.

The Web - God of Fate (she/it): im pretty happy with her design atm, shes meant to be a half spider half woman thing and i love that for her. shes probably the one ive thought the most on so far given her importance to the story. i want her to wear silks and shiny silver jewelry that just sparkles like wet spiderwebs do, not sure if im gonna keep the veil?

The Dark - God of the Dark (she/he/it): probably my weakest concept at the moment. it doesnt do the dark any justice. i mean i like the cloak idea but i want them to be very tendrilly, all consuming, shadowy, but i dont know how to properly portray them :/

The Desolation - God of Destruction and Fire (they/it): i have a neat vision for them! i want them to be made of coal and ash and smoke, to be burning and glowing on the inside, and their body is decorated with melted wax to look like clothes. not quiiiiiite sure about how their melty candle dress is now? i want it to be less constrictive

The Stranger - God of the Unknown and the Whimsical (he/she/they/it): it's meant to be this. weird wirey creature hidden behind masks and a lot of fabrics, like the framework of a poseable plush doll? i like the way the masks look but im not so sure about the body.

The Vast - God of the Above (she/he/they/it): im not so sure about his design at all im gonna be real. i want them to look like the atmosphere and be covered in clouds and have mountains for feet and an ocean cape but i feel like it might be a bit?? idk??? im just not that happy with it :/

The End - God of Death and Time (they/it): ugh i love this concept sm, making death read as less scary and more divine is so fun. theyre based on a seraphim and a sand timer,

The Buried - God of the Underneath (she/he/they/it): ANOTHER OF MY FAVORITES!!!! i love them. theyre inspired by hermit crabs!! and they have silver chains holding their shell to them. they look so endearing with their lil lopsided eyes ;; <3

The Flesh - God of the Body and Meat (she/he/they/it): i have so many ideas for the flesh y'all- im very excited to do a concept sheet for them. theyre meant to have no skin, just exposed bone and muscle, large limbs, hooves, exposed heart underneath a ribcage, teeth that close around their abdomen. white bandages that wrap around like clothes. a teeth/horn crown? i dont quite know whether to go for a more animalistic look or a more human one? like- theres so many ways to go with him idek!!!

The Hunt - God of Predators and Pride (they/it): see, i like this design but i feel like its too werewolf like? yknow? thats cool!! but itreads more monster to me than God :/

The Corruption - God of Nature, Rot, and Disease (she/they/it): i love this weird bug thing. this one i was really inspired for (mostly because. corruption aligned. so obviously im gonna think about this one alot) theyre this weird bug thing, the veil is inspired by the one from the art on the wiki! i want to maybe make them a bit more gross and weird because nature is like that sometimes, a moot on tiktok suggested that i add animal bones!! and i think thats SO smart im absolutely going too

The Spiral - God of the Incomprehensible (it/its): this weirdo is so hard to pin down istg. i imagine them as this spiral thing. body is kindof liquidy, arms are spindly and long, multiple shifting faces, overall just constantly changing and moving and like!!! how am i meant to draw that??? when my brain cant even wrap my head around what its supposed to look like yknow??? bruh jrdbhgfjdldgfh- that being said i think the main problem with the design is that it just gives me too many Michael vibes!!! is it the hair? the arms? its probably both.

The Lonely - God of Solitude and the Self (they/it): i like what this one has going so far! theyve got fog hair, fog tears, their body is meant to be splotchy like turquoise marble, i vibe with it so hard. not so sure what to do with their outfit tho :/

The Slaughter - God of War (he/they/it): another one of my more stronger designs i think! centaur with weapons sticking into them, face concealed, medieval armor and antlers- it vibes

the extinction isnt drawn because i literally have no idea what they should look like aside from color palette-

once again any and all suggestions will be taken!!!! i need ideas!!! plese!!!!

Dib Membrane (Doomsday AU Character Summary)

Dib is a 16 year old boy who is the main character of the series. He loves researching alien reports, the supernatural, cryptids, and other mysteries. His dream is to uncover and expose supernatural entities so that he can become a famous paranormal investigator. You can usually find him taking notes in his notebook, recording audio logs of his reports, or even searching for cryptids in the woods.

Dib's clever, strategic, and extremely observant, looking at things from a whole different perspective than most folks. His problem is that he leaps to conclusions too often and rushes into things without thinking. This gets him into a lot of trouble and for those around him.

Dib’s somewhat of an outcast among his peers, particularly known as a loser or freak. This doesn’t bother him too much, but often he gets lonely due to isolation. Dib’s socially awkward around folks but once you bring up anything involved with the supernatural he can talk for hours. It’s something he’s very, very passionate about which stems from a personal history with his mom. Although Dib is bullied, neglected, and doesn’t have any friends, he has a strong sense of justice and is determined to help and protect anyone, even at the cost of his own life.

I have an idea. I've been watching that spy X family anime recently and it got me thinking.

Jack and Maddie accidentally getting involved with shady organisations that are chomping at the bit for this blackbelt scientist and her built like a brick wall husband who can make weapons out of nothing.

Jack and Maddie are good people however and once they figure out the organisation they are working for is bad, take the organisation down and make a run for it.

It's during this time that they find Jazz and Danny. Maybe Jazz is a child genius who is being experimented on to see how far they can push her intelligence or maybe they are trying to give her psychic powers, or maybe it's a situation similar to how Cass was made and Jazz is the combination of two people in an attempt to make the ultimate child genius or something.

Danny could be something similar, being experimented on because he has ghost powers or maybe the scientists experimenting on him gave him ghost powers. In this au Jack and Maddie are accepting of him being

Jack and Maddie just keep happening to run into people who need help and have just accumulated a bunch of favours and goodwill with people in the DC universe.

Jack and Maddie getting tired of getting hired by bad people and deciding to be their own bosses and settle down in Amity Park. Just all of them trying to figure out how to do this whole 'family' thing. Despite being the weirdest family around (paranormal scientist parents, children who might have powers) they end up being a really wholesome family.

Although it would be tempting to have Danny and Jazz be a clone or a relation to someone in the DC universe, I personally feel it's a bit overdone.

I feel it would funnier if they just keep getting involved in these random situations. Like in spite of trying to live a peaceful life in Amity, it just keeps happening.

They have a family trip or go to a science conference and end up helping out a hero because they just can't beat back their desire to help other people out.

Danny and Jazz grow up and try to live normal lives but who are they kidding. They might not be Fenton's by blood but they share the same ability to get caught up in the most ridiculous of situations.

Jazz is trying to be normal and she knows she should runaway from the situation but she just can't stand by and watch people and let people get hurt. The amount of shenanigans that happen when Jazz interns at Arkham.

Danny is trying to get into NASA and is intent on not using his powers, but of course he can't beat back his own guilty conscience and if he sees someone in need of help of course he isn't just going to stand there and just watch. He either uses his powers or his mechanical genius to fix something.

Just everyone in the Justice League realising they have all encountered the same damn family.

Maybe they get scouted by the Justice League idk.

Oooo this is some good stuff

They manage to get tangled in everything from LexCorp. to The Penguin and have equally as many connections as they have enemies.

The idea that both Jazz and Danny are metas and they forcefully turn on their meta genes to suit their specific purposes for them is a fascinating idea.

Paranormal AU - GhostRoachSoap

I’ve now got a new brain rot again oof. I really like the GhostRoachSoap ship and this is a Paranormal AU idea that I has been bouncing around for a few weeks. I’m already throwing it out that there is no MCD. But I have a Roach and a Soap version.

Roach version under the cut.

In the Roach version as a kid, he’s had this sixth sense for the unexplained. I’m running with the idea that Roach grew up with a grandparent that was in the occult, maybe a psychic or something. He also grew up in the states surrounded by ghost stories, maybe in Louisiana or in a southern state steeped in ghost stories. Anyways he’s always had a sense of it but couldn’t see anything. He’s used to the feeling by now, it helps him… sometimes. Gets him in trouble a lot more than normal but he’s gotten his call sign for a reason. He ends up getting invited to join 141 before remake canon events, only to end up in one of his death defying stunts and was placed on medical leave.

During the death defying stunt, he ends up hitting his head and maybe a broken arm. While on medical leave he starts to notice things are different. Seeing things not there and so on. He decides not to say anything worried about worrying his family. (They were still coming around on him joining the military and mostly because he was just accident prone as a child.) So he blatantly ignores that he can now see the dead existing. Almost causes a car accident when he saw the ghost of a squirrel run into the road while one of his family members was driving him to his doctor’s appointment. After that, he just avoids looking out the front of the car.

When he goes back after he gets cleared for active duty it’s a while after the canon events. But he ends up meeting Price first. He gets a tour of the base, the whole nine yards. Meets Gaz and hit it off, likes making new friends, will never pass on it. Gaz makes a comment about the sunglasses he wears inside. (Something he started to hide he’s seeing things that he doesn’t want to explain. Doesn’t want the dead to notice he can see them.) Uses the excuse that his last head injury made him sensitive to light. Says it’s temporary, but it’s not. Gaz just nods along and the topic is dropped. He’s glad no one asks any more about them and is curious as to why until he meets Ghost. And then it makes sense.

He’s heard about the man and the 141. He saw the news coverage in Chicago and wasn’t fooled by the news. Roach quickly surmised that the rumors didn’t give the men the justice they deserved. At least he had his own room and bathroom. It was at that moment he stopped and did a mental count before turning to Price to ask if there was someone missing from the group. His last captain had told him there were four men that he would be working with. At the look on Price’s face, he looked away and let the topic drop.

It didn’t take him long to get a feel for the routine of working alongside the others. That was until Roach started to notice the person tagging along with Ghost, catching glimpse of the man with the hawk. Roach just figured he was just another soldier from around the base that was brave enough to make friends with The Ghost. He didn’t blame the other soldier he liked the calm silence the larger man put off. Was a calming balm that helped when he just needed silence from all the noise from being able to hear both the living and the dead. Sometimes the noise was just too much.

But Roach just figured the soldier was just another soldier until Roach figured out he wasn’t. When he stepped onto the plane heading to his first mission with the task force in his full kit. Along with new tinted goggles and a gaiter mask (there is only so many times a person can handle eating dirt or sand when they fall face first into it multiple times) and a helmet that had a bug sticker slapped on the side someone placed there as a joke. Jokes on them he loved it. Roach was checking the pockets of his vest when he heard the snort of laughter. Looking up he noticed the man in a tee shirt and jeans sitting next to Ghost on the plane.

Roach almost said something sarcastic until he noticed the lack of gear on the man. He almost gave it away. He ignored the ghost following Ghost. Now that was an amusing thought. Until he realized that the ghost wasn’t haunting just Ghost, but he would also find him watching over the shoulders of Gaz and Price. He was just mostly at Ghost’s side.

Finds out the spirit is Soap. Que shenanigans and Roach falling for Soap and then Ghost while Roach tries to fix Soap being stuck outside his body.

After that Soap and Roach get to know each other. He finds out about what happened, or what Soap could remember before and after he became stuck. Roach figures if they could find Soap’s body they could try and fix the problem.

Roach get’s closer to Soap. Ignores the warning signs of his developing feelings. Finds out more about the team through Soap. He quickly finds out when Soap was talking about Ghost that Soap’s feelings may be more than platonic towards the other man.

At this time Roach starts poking around asking in roundabout ways about Soap. Ends up drawing the attention of one spooky namesake. Que Roach trying to pull off an olympic worth of bending the truth as he hides what he’s up to from Ghost. Around that point, Soap mentions checking his room for his personal files. That he could probably access his files using his laptop in his room. Maybe the hospital he’s in was mentioned in his files.

That’s how Roach found himself crouched in front of Soap’s room picking the lock. And caught by the one person he was trying to avoid when asking about Soap. He was lucky he had the forethought to slide his phone under the door as an excuse. But not only did he have Ghost’s attention on him, he now had Price’s attention.

He was already getting weird looks when he gets caught talking to Soap in an empty room.

Roach’s abilities get found out by Ghost during an op. An old factory that was filled with way too many spirits. He could hear them screaming or talking before they even spotted the building in the thick forest. While in the building with Ghost, one of the spirits became bold enough to try and shove him. He falls and so does Ghost trying to catch him. Soap somehow disappears trying to keep it from happening.

The two of them are trapped somewhere. Where Ghost confronts him about what’s going on.

It takes Ghost a while to believe Roach, but then weird things start to happen. Then they start working together to figure out what happened to get Soap stuck the way he is.

(I might expand on this but only here. Unless it takes off then I might move it somewhere else. I’ll post the Soap version after I have it figured out.)

ANIMANGA Naoki Urasawa's Monster - "Why did the culprit do this?" over "Who is the culprit?", murder mystery, cycles of abuse, questions of character identity, the ultimate "victim of circumstances has created the monster" situation Shiki - Sleepy town being annihilated by an unknown threat, humans doing unspeakable things in the name of justice, the question of the antagonist's morality/justice is brought to the forefront and maybe they were right all along...? Princess Tutu - Characters who have been created for a story and are living out a narrative sort of against their will, the narrative as a framing device and also a prison, love love love lots of love, the death of the author and what this means for a tale and the characters within it too--if you can only call them characters I Want To Hold Aono-kun so Badly I Could Die - romantic relationships as a way to combat your personal loneliness, horror and romance and how they intersect...kind of hard to explain this one unless you've finished Umineko but this manga really reads like AU Bato[redacted] to me so far, lots of supernatural elements, learning how to find happiness

TV Succession - Rich people dealing with their abusive and unpredictable father deciding who will be the successor for the family business and dragging everyone else into it, cycles of literally every sort

BOOKS The Locked Tomb Quartet - Cites Umineko (and 999!) as an inspiration and Muir is a very very referential reader so it's kind of hard to say stuff without spoiling TLT also so honestly just go read it. Magpie Murders - Murder within a murder And Then There Were None (duh) - Directly inspired Umineko and the murders within Umineko The Last Unicorn - Characters acknowledge they are living in a fairy tale, the unicorn is often called the only 'real' one in the group due to her immortality, dream-like narration and fantastical whimsy, ocean representing character strife House Of Leaves - The metaphysical book of metaphysical books with stories within stories within stories and extremely unconventional formatting, house as a vehicle to tell a horror story IT - Two stories in different times existing side by side to inform the reader how to read it. I never finished reading this either though sorry </3 Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead - metafiction play about characters and the absurdity of their existence, repeating stories, tragedy is only a story and the characters within only exist to tell that story regardless of their own individuality Wuthering Heights - toxic romance the novel, idk why I didn't have this here yet. Honestly I'm not super big on this book but it's a classic for a reason. Dread, isolated spaces, fucked up romance, ghosts, etc.

ooo this is a good question.. i havent thought too much about this before i started writing so this is just my thought process as i go LOL

the operator vs slenderman is THE BIGGEST rivalry there is in my au. them fighting is what drives half the cast

toby and the rake have CRAZY BEEF toby has a MASSIVE claw-mark scar down his back from the rake. he's literally wrestled on the ground with the rake and beaten it with a stick. he wants to kill it but he never can LMFAOOO its like a fucking looney tunes bit. maybe even tom and jerry. toby is tom.

toby also doesnt like sally very much, again bc ghosts scare him (lyra reminders) and bc sallys mean to him. sally doesnt like him cuz he's mean in return LOL

jack and tim dont have a rivalry exactly but tim is kinda meaner to jack on the basis of jack being a demon. thinks less of him cuz of it. jack knows he does, but doesnt do anything about it

nina does eventually hate jeff, but she's a bit tied up since she's now friends with the proxies, but the proxies rely on ben, and bens besties with jeff, so nobody can touch jeff without pissing off the proxies.

im obsessed w ninakate now cuz lesbianism, BUT they arent canon in my au since i dont want any relationships (besides mary and jane) to be canon/'endgame'.. BUT IN AN AU WHERE EVERYTHINGS THE SAME BUT I CANONIZE NINAKATE nina would be hard beefing with ann . i literally just drew a comic today about nina following kate on a patrol, kate finds ann, and nina gets all upset and antsy about ann 'flirting' w kate. LOL. SO NINA AND ANN R HATERS. i think ill make them hate eachother in my normal au too.

honestly i tone down the jeff vs jane rivalry a lot. for a lot of years she is driven by hatred and wanting justice, but she eventually starts to settle down with her wife, accepts that it is unlikely jeff will be brought to justice once she learns about the paranormal involvement, and focuses on helping families with cases that can be brought to justice. . .

everyone kinda beefs w jeff besides ben. jeffs incredibly lucky that ben is so useful in retrieving/deleting police files, cctv footage, black market shit, credit card info... etc etc , otherwise they'd have killed jeff. but alas. cannot upset the little boy

New Welcome Home AU. Autopsy AU! [WIP: Updated 7/21/23]

Introducing, Autopsy! Wally (Or Coroner! Wally if you so prefer. I wasn't sure which would roll off the tongue better.) This Wally can also be drawn as puppet but I don't think we have enough human Wally AUs.

-- Dr. Wally Darling is a Medical examiner who works at [Redacted] Hospital on the night shift, and he works long hours performing autopsies to determine cause of death of the toughest/strangest cases in the region. He's very good at what he does and his peer often refer to him as a work-a-holic. Wally is very analytical and loves to do things by the book. However, he is not afraid to bend a few rules occasionally if it means solving the case or getting justice. (Better to ask for forgiveness than beg for permission, etc.)

The Neighbor: The neighbor can be anyone from an assistant, apprentice, hospital staff, law enforcement of maybe even the deceased, to name a few suggestions. Ideally someone whose work involves the recently dead.

...Okay, while all of you have been obsessing over Barbenheimer, Tory here has been obsessing over the new Haunted Mansion movie that Disney released because the parks' Haunted Mansion rides are one of my favorite Disney-related things ever and the film actually does the concept pretty damn good justice, in my opinion...so after seeing the movie multiple times (one and a half of those times at the official preview for the film, which I was fortunate enough to work), I had to draw some content for that HPHM Haunted Mansion AU I wrote a long while back, starring our favorite no-longer-ghost boy Duncan Ashe as a early-2000's paranormal investigator sent to explore the haunted Cromwell Manor in upstate New York. Surrounding him are five of the most central ghosts in his story -- from left to right, "the Ghost Host," A.K.A. Bill Weasley; "the Wanderer," A.K.A. Orion Amari; "Madame Olivia" Green (in the crystal ball); "the Headless Man," (currently with his head) A.K.A. Jacob Cromwell; and "the Beating Heart Bride," A.K.A. Carewyn Cromwell! Be on the look out for more content for this AU soon, especially as the "spooky season" properly approaches...it's been so fun to revisit this idea again, even with how differently it adapted the Haunted Mansion premise compared to the new movie! ^.^

Summary: An AU stemming from the first few episodes of Season 3. Liam was sexually assaulted while in captivity, and when he finally tells his brother what happened, Cordell decides to take matters into his own hands. Together, he and Liam find closure through vengeance against the man who left Liam broken and traumatized.

I do have to give a warning for Walkercest but even beyond that, I love how Cordell takes justice into his own hands here for the sake of his brother. He wants to help Liam and this is the only way he really knows how. Even if Walkercest isn't your thing, I would recommend this fic based purely on the brotherly love.

+Favorite Completed Multi-Chapter/Multi-Part Fic

Summary: Things go very wrong at the medal ceremony for Cassie and August. 3x14 AU.

This whole two-parter event lives in my mind rent free and it's one of those that makes me wish Walker would take things down a darker path. This fic scratches that itch so hard.

Summary: Liam hesitates on the porch of his brother's house. This might be a bad idea. Interfering in his brother's parenting- specifically as it related to Stella's and Cordi's relationship, which has obviously just taken a turn for the worse- is the sort of thing that gets him punched. I have so many feelings about this episode and this plotline in particular and I love Liam's perspective on all this.

Just a short and sweet story about Cassie taking care of her sick partner. Perfection <3

+Favorite Hurt/Comfort Fic

Summary: His fist connects with real solid flesh and there's a familiar surprised cry. Cassie.

I wish the show got more into the realities of Cordell's trauma and how it might manifest. This fic is perfect for that.

Summary: Sometimes silence can be deafening, especially when it's your own thoughts making the noise.

You know those fics that you find and you start reading and you can't make yourself stop reading even though it's 3am? Yeah, this is that fic. Supremely whumpy, delightfully angsty, and the whole Walker gang is here! There's nothing not to love about it. Please read and give it love <3

For Every Light by sakuranomi88

Summary: Cordell's life unexpectedly and drastically changes when he's given full custody of his newborn baby girl. Liam loves his niece like she's his own daughter and is happy to help care for her when Cordell is busy working. But when lines are blurred and crossed, Cordell asks his brother to back off, which sets off an unforgettable sequence of events that leaves the entire Walker family reeling.

I honestly just love how this fic addresses the co-parenting dynamic between Cordell and Liam that's prevalent in the show. It's deliciously angsty without having an antagonist per se and I love that.

+Favorite Ship Fic

Day One by @theladywyn

Summary: Day one, Trey thinks. Fifty-five to go.

I'm not the biggest Cassie/Trey fan but I love fics like this. Trey dealing with his own insecurities and emotions around Cassie leaving and Cassie dealing with her own crap.... It's lovely.

+Favorite Friendship/Platonic Dynamic Fic

The One Where (Part Nine) by AGJ1990

Summary: Another few Liam/Lulu snippets. Minor spoilers for the Walker season three finale.

This one is a little bit of a cheat as it's not the individual fic I love so much as the whole multi-part series. Giving Liam a father role is something I've played with myself but never committed to writing and I love the take this author has on the concept. I just love Lulu a lot too.

+Fic You Can't Stop Thinking About

Summary: After Dan’s partnership with Serano comes to light, Denise’s and Dan’s marriage finds itself on the brink of ruin. With barely one leg to stand on, Dan has not much choice but to accept his wife’s terms on what she reckons might help relieve some of the tension. (Set between 2x10 and 2x11.)

This fic scratched an itch I didn't even know I had and I come back to reread it often just because it's so good. The dynamics here are so interesting and not something I would've thought I'd like but I love every second of it.

+Favorite Crossover Fic

Indeliable by 36and40

Summary: There's something that intrigues Walker about the man who works in the sandwich shop with the mohawk, piercings, tattoos, and the intense green eyes outlined in black. They couldn't be more different. It could never work between someone as irreverent as Priestly and a Lone Star born and bred Texas Ranger. Could it?

A story about overcoming fear, living authentically, coming out and coming home. And sex. Lots and lots of sex.

This fic is a crossover between Walker and Ten Inch Hero and it's one of my favorite crossover fics written in general and probably one of my favorite Walker fics.

This fic is a major AU that's largely removed from the show aside from the main character and a few others (Cordell even has a different brother) but I love every bit of it.

+Funniest Fic

The One with the Wedding Dresses by @theladywyn

Summary: "Well, I feel out of place." Cordell shuffles his boots on the fluffy pink rug at his feet and worries the brim of his hat in his hands.

"You feel out of place?" hisses Cassie under her breath. "You get the easy part."

🎯 - What do they do best?

Reed’s an excellent shot and he’s really good with animals- he's the type that usually passes the vibe check with fearful or aggressive animals.

Mercy’s an excellent problem solver, very detail-oriented & thorough, and she can be a damn good tactician when she needs to be.

Delta’s extremely resourceful and like Mercy, they’re also very detail-oriented and great at solving problems; however their solutions tend to be more peaceful than Mercy’s and they’re more willing to compromise.

✂️ - What is one of your OC’s worst memories?

One of Reed's is this fun little rewrite of a glitch that can occur during the random Sparky/stray dog encounter

One of Mercy's would be from her Wyoming era, when her son was killed in his early 20's. She took that loss extremely hard and it somewhat marked the beginning of the end of that period of her life- it's all downhill after that and she loses basically everything else in her life in the years after that

🧠 - What do you like most about the OC?

Despite the flexible morals and impulsive decisions, Reed has a good heart and he can be really kind and selfless at times. In general it's his larger faction-based actions that are really questionable- he does tend to act like he's being inconvenienced, but it's very rare for him to actually not help someone out.

Mercy's whole thing as a character gives me a lot of space to play around with themes about self-redemption, justice in lawless or corrupt environments, paranormal & supernatural elements in specific verses, etc etc. She's not exclusively a Fallout oc, unlike the other two, but she's ended up being a very versatile character.

Delta's main thing is remaining soft and kind despite living in a harsh and sometimes cruel enviornment, and there's a lot of parallels set up between them and Mercy in their Fallout verse. I'm still fleshing things out a bit there, but there's a lot of cool themes and potential going between the two of them.

💎 - Do you ever see yourself killing off the OC?

I have at least 3-4 semi-established AUs where Reed’s either dead from the start or gets killed off in some manner, and a few where Mercy either turns feral or actually for realsies dies. Delta's fully exempt from getting killed off.

jillyjames writes some really great sentinel fusion stories and tony dinozzo of ncis is her unicorn. my favourite of her sentinel works is by far a MCU crossover called Stick Around and its sequel Demons. The battle of new york scene remains one of my favourite fanfic action scenes i’ve ever read.
