Here the Scythians*once roamed,

As did Sikander*beguiled and bemoaned,

Echoing a greco-siberian spirit,

The lodhis* too came here but a minute,

Staining the soils with warrior blood,

The British came destroying the mud,

Creating separation and warfare,

But did the world care?

Unity destroyed,

As they toyed,

The five rivers bled,

So many fled,

Conquer rule divide,

Took over to collide,

Now only united by the ghosts of the past,

They all came never to last,

Only to remain the melting pot,

A simmering of a whole lot,

Blessing the land with many genes,

Forefathers leaving their dreams,

Hot headed determination undying,

Their descendants all flying,

Leaving the fertile scenery,

For another greenery,

The good the ugly the bad came,

For that I will never blame,

This land is so precious and unique,

Who is next to compete?
