Canadian citizen Hardeep Singh Nijjar was brazenly shot dead outside a Sikh temple in Surrey, B.C. on June 18.
Nijjar, a supporter of a Sikh homeland in the form of an independent Khalistani state, had been branded by the Indian government as a "terrorist" and accused of leading a militant separatist group — something his supporters have denied.
"Canadian security agencies have been actively pursuing credible allegations of a potential link between agents of the Government of India and the killing of a Canadian citizen, Hardeep Singh Nijjar," Trudeau said Monday in a speech to the House of Commons.
"Any involvement of a foreign government in the killing of a Canadian citizen on Canadian soil is an unacceptable violation of our sovereignty."

An Alberta judge has dismissed an Edmonton law student’s challenge to the legal profession’s mandatory Oath of Allegiance to the monarch.
Prabjot Singh Wirring had argued the portion of the oath mandated by the Legal Profession Act that includes pledging allegiance to the sovereign violates his Charter rights to religious freedom and equality.
Wirring, who is an Amritdhari Sikh, said he is only allowed to pledge allegiance to a divine being in the Sikh tradition and not Queen Elizabeth, who was the reigning monarch at the time his suit was filed.
He said the Oath of Allegiance to the queen was incompatible with his beliefs and filed a statement of claim last year against the Law Society of Alberta and the Alberta government.

I saw a video talking about Latinos with indigenous descent standing with Palestine because they understand what Palestine is going through and I'd like to add it.
Every Punjabi, from India and Pakistan, understands what it feels like to be invaded, to have to pack their bags in the middle of the night and leave behind their generations of history to flee, to have to travel hundreds of miles across borders and trains to reach safety. To have Western forces play puppets with our government to fulfill their greedy white wants. It is because of this that I will not stay silent the same thing happens to Palestinians. It is in our blood to speak out against oppressors and give a voice to the voiceless but regardless of that, anyone with a heart would stand with Palestine.
🇵🇸 Punjab stands with Palestine 🇵🇸
From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free.

I also wonder what the relationship between the Jewish and Sikhi community is, because most Hindu bloggers stopped to mention the Jains (another religion I don’t know really anything about) when they were educating us about their theology and culture and history, but nobody mentioned the Sikhi thus far, any Panjaabi want to weigh in?
