AU where famous band, The Monsters, go on tour and hire roadie!Neil Josten because drummer!Andrew thinks he’s cute and Neil likes that the job gives him the ability to be covertly on the run in a low effort way.

Andrew tries helplessly for weeks to flirt with Neil, Neil is completely oblivious, and Andrew finally gives up, figuring that Neil just isn’t interested.

(turns out Andrew’s version of “flirting” is just being an asshole at every opportunity)

Neil is helping clean up after a show and Andrew is there and they get to talking, yada yada yada, “you hate me” “doesn’t mean i wouldn’t blow you” ~record scratch~ Neil and Andrew begin their secrets trade and their “thing” starts.

The tour stops for Andrews rehab and Neil has to choose between staying with The Monsters, by this point he’s heavily bonded with them, or dropping the “Neil Josten” identity and running, what his mother would’ve wanted…

Because saying it out loud, making your intention known to the world, makes it more likely that you'll actually follow through and do the thing.

Even if I can just get one more sentence down onto the paper, that'll be one sentence that wasn't there before, and I'll be one sentence closer to finishing another project.

“Grandmother is visiting,” Damian suddenly said with no warning and with his usual not-quite demanding tone.

“Who?” Tim wasn’t the only one to startle, seeing as Bruce had practically froze, a downturn to his lips in a silent show of confusion.

Damian scowled. “Are you deaf Drake? Grandmother is coming to Gotham to, quote, make sure I am being properly cared for.” None of them had known that Ras was with anyone actually. At least Tim was pretty sure that would have been in the files.

decided to join in on @quezify’s eggtober again this year as a little art warmup and I actually ended up really enjoying it!! it’s obviously way outside of my usual comfort zone so I’m very happy that I was able to create an end result that I’m proud of :)
