🍪 my favorite roleplay memory
ohhh this is an interesting one!!! hmm... y'know, i have a few favorite memories on here, most of them centering around fond memories with some of the friends i've made through hanging out in the rpc.
y'know... i think one of my favorite memories, though, was when i was still really active on my old sally face blog, and there was this stretch of time when i received a lot of really friendly anons who were excitedly reading along with my threads and wanted to share their thoughts. i thought that was kinda fun tbh! perhaps a bit much at times, but it was cool that even people who weren't actively part of those threads were having fun.
☎️ my first character i ever roleplayed
so i know this whole questionnaire thing is about the tumblr rpc specifically, but i also wanna answer this for like. characters i've roleplayed in general.
my very first muse on tumblr was saitama from one punch man--specifically an au depicting saitama as a trans woman. she was a lot of fun to write and develop, but i was so new to the tumblr rpc and *incredibly* shy so i never really approached anyone first, so she never got much attention. lately i've been considering writing saitama again, but i don't think i'll write this au in particular ever again--my girl can rest <3
as for first character *in general*, that's a bit more complicated. i mainly rp'd ocs back when i wrote on quotev with close friends, and during my time in some rp groups on discord. i don't really remember who was the first oc i ever roleplayed as, but i do remember the first canon character i roleplayed as! or at least one of them.
that would be dr. robert langdon from the da vinci code series! i had a pretty long stretch of being hyperfixated on those books, and they're still pretty near and dear to my heart! i've been really meaning to reread angels & demons tbh... and maybe i'll bring my boy robert back. maybe. i do miss him.
⭐️ my roleplay pet peeves
i don't have a lot of these! i like to think i'm pretty chill most of the time, and i like to emphasize good communication as much as i can (though i will be the first to admit i'm not always the best at that lmao). most of my pet peeves *are* just about communication with other muns, but i don't encounter them very often. i guess my biggest pet peeve would really just be muns who don't communicate *at all* ooc.
but i guess. second to this would be people who don't read about pages in the slightest. i totally understand if they're not mobile accessible or easy to read, but i think it's really important to familiarize yourself as much as possible with your writing partners' muses. even if they're writing canon muses you're familiar with, it's important to learn what they bring to the table and how they're portraying the character. i'm not saying you need to catch up on all the lore right away, but just! get to know em a bit.
🐠 why i love (or hate) this hobby
i love this hobby because it gives me a lot of time to really indulge in developing and writing characters, and also just. collaborative storytelling is one of my favorite things in the whole fucking world, haha! also, it's led to me meeting a lot of really fun, interesting people, some of whom are my best friends in the world! i actually met two of my partners through rp groups! :3c
🔑 my favorite type of threads
y'know, i don't think i have a single favorite type of thread, but one thing i'm always a goddamn sucker for is hurt/comfort. i love to indulge a little in angst but then in the recovery after the angst.
i also really like threads that really give me the chance to dig my claws into a character's psychology, or ones that let my partner do the same. we're telling a story together, so show me what you've got and go all the fuck IN on these characters with me!

“You’ve been staring an awful lot. Is there something on me?” Katsumi quirked a thick brow at you, your eyes still not leaving his muscular form. The cow onesie does his massive chest no justice seeing that Katsumi can’t even pull the zipper all the way up to conceal his smooth chest.
“No there’s nothing on you.” You hold your hands behind your back, your eyes still staring intently at him.
“Then what are you looking at?”
You point your fingers at his chest. “Those massive honkers of yours.”
Katsumi furrowed his brow and put his hands over his chest. “My… what?”
“Bazoongas. Titties. Pecs. Melons. Sir, you have a nice rack.” Katsumi is absolutely flabbergasted. He is not sure whether he should feel insulted or complimented. On one hand, you find him attractive. On the other, you’re sexualizing his chest.
But then an idea pops in his head. Maybe this is a way to get close to you? He should use it to his advantage?
“Well… would you like to touch them-“ Katsumi squealed when you suddenly squeezed his chest. Your eyes filled with stars at the feeling. “H-hey! Not so rough.”
“I’m sorry. I was momentarily possessed.” Katsumi almost whined when you pulled away just as fast as you grabbed. His eyes pleading for you to touch him once more. “I’m envious. My chest isn’t nearly as full as yours.”
“Well I think you have a nice chest.” Katsumi turned his head away, his ears a little bit pink. “You look quite soft.”
You try to hide your grin at how cute Katsumi was. The man squealed yet again when you suddenly hugged him? Your head coming up to rest between his chest, the yellow duck hoodie to your onesie fell off your head a bit from the motion.
“You’re so cute, Katsumi.” Katsumi’s face turns a bright red when you subtly motor boat him. Katsumi has the biggest crush on you and yet you tease him all the time… why were you so mean to him?
“Would you stop with my chest? I’m not a slab of beef.”
“Katsumi. You’re literally dressed up like a cow.”

Quickie: A Love Hotel Story
It would be easy to take a look at Quickie: A Love Hotel Story and file it away as a pretty, sexy, hotel/dating sim that's just good for some anime-style smut, which, for the record, it definitely delivers. What I wasn't expecting was an emotionally engaging story with well developed characters and mature storytelling, all built around a surprisingly fun and easy strategy mini-game.

Rated: M 🌶🌶🌶 - explicit animated sex scenes, mature themes, etc.
A management sim in the style of Fallout: Shelter, you build and expand your sex-hotel empire trying to get as many customers as possible through the door, all while making sure they have everything they need to fulfill their many and varied sexual whims. From there you take their money and funnel it into more sex hotels across Tokyo, buying gifts for your girlfriends, who you can then take to your new and expanded sex hotels. The cycle of capitalism continues!
When you're not learning everything there is to know about the hospitality industry, you're going to college (like, once or twice, technically), and hanging out with various friends, acquaintances, and inappropriate hook ups all around Tokyo, playing games and getting to know each one so that they'll have sex with and/or fall in love with you.
Quickie manages to include a variety of different stories to scratch a variety of different itches, each character having their own unique backgrounds and desires. If you're not into hot professor stories, great not a problem. If you're a fan of friends-to-lovers and want to stay in that lane, you've got a couple of options. And of course, there's plenty of smut, including a handful of non-cannon scenes available through the love hotel, just in case you weren't finding exactly what you were looking for.
The game is definitely still in Alpha, with a bunch of content still unfinished and the occasional weird bug, but overall I left super excited to check back in a year and see how much progress has been added.

Bonus: Oppai Games has some super adorable merch? I'll be honest, I've never been more tempted to rock a sex-game studio's adorable pink hoodie. There's also a cute Satomi body pillow if you're into that, but I'm holding out for my girl Aria. <3

Jfc, my bf gave me a hoodie that doesn’t fit him and it’s 2 sizes too big on me and I guess it has some sort of brand/logo on it. Anyway I posted some pictures of me snuggling my beardie in it on FB and he asked me to post a picture of the full hoodie. I did thinking ‘oh maybe he just wants to show off how big it is on me. How sweet!’
BTW I wore this while I was out doing MANY MANY errands today!
What I THOUGHT was a logo or brand is actually just a Japanese word. The word is oppai, which means boobs.
He’s dead. I had SEVERAL long conversations with people!
