About the AO3 "No Guest Comments for a while" warning
If you're not following any of AO3's social media accounts you might be in the dark as to what kind of "spam comments" have engendered this banner at the top of the site:
These spam comments have been posted about a great deal on the AO3 subreddit for the past couple of days. Initially they comprised a bunch of guest (logged out users) bot comments that insulted authors by suggesting they were using AI and not writing their own fics. Some examples, from the subreddit:
But it then escalated to outright graphic porn images and gifs being posted in comments, again by logged out 'Guest' accounts. Obviously, I'm not going to give examples of those, but between these two bot infestations, AO3 has clearly decided to act and has temporarily closed the ability to post comments for users who are not logged in with an AO3 account.
Unfortunately, this means that genuine readers who don't have an AO3 account won't be able to leave comments on fics that they enjoy.
If you are a genuine reader who doesn't yet have an AO3 account, I strongly suggest getting yourself on the waiting list for one. More and more AO3 authors are now locking their fics down to registered users only - either due to these bot comments or concerns about AI scraping their work - which means you're probably missing out on a lot of great stuff.
Hopefully guest commenting will be enabled again at some point soon, but I suggest not waiting until then. Get yourself on that list.
Wait times are going to be longer than usual at the moment, due to the current Wattpad purge [info on Fanlore | Wattpad subreddit thread], but if you're in line, then your invite will come through eventually.

Note:
First off, I just want everyone to know the wolf ABO structure was a made up concept that spread before damage control could work affectively.
Secondly, Wolves actually work as an extended family with several generations making up the whole pack.
Thirdly, I don’t ship Deku with Angry Explosion; victim x BULLY THAT TOLD HIM TO KILLHIMSELF IS HORSE SHXT. But you can ship them all you want, I won’t give you grief over it.
Lastly, why do I have to play by everyone else’s ABO rules? I don’t. That’s why I have my own that makes humans stand differently from animals.
Under this line is a ZERO ship ABO Social Commentary BNHA fic idea. No smut. No ships. Just a regular, serious fic idea.
Brain came up with ABO social commentary BNHA fic. Not shipping or mindless smut but a play on how society is even more messed up due to ABO being a part of society. (I was coming out of sleep and I’m not even in the fandom only read a few rottmnt crossover fics and watch analysis videos)
(Wanted to write with the actual names but I can’t spell fxxxxxxxxck)
Deku is having an inner monologue about what’s happen so far (I don’t remember much) and how ABO isn’t a great thing and how hero - not even just hero society- but humanity is set back completely by it.
There is a visual for the audience with deku and kaa-Chan (?? Angry explosion guy??) in beds as a side by side. Deku starts out with out friends and gains them once he was declared Alph and he’s swarmed with people while Kaa -Chan starts out with a few but doesn’t have any until the last panel is a single child being petted on the head by kaa-Chan (likely a younger sibling).
Also to note is All Might was sent to jail or was seen captured and probably killed??? It looked like he was in some kind of suit with the helmet off as he smiled and made a speech (it’s a flashback as Deku is thinking).
Things don’t go 100% beat by beat in canon and are drastically changed. For one Deku is a full hero with a license and is working solo while everyone is in agencies that’s either first responders type or teams.
Hmmm the tags in my head showed no ship tags and this is a purely a story fic of a serious au. No missed characterization or bashing, just people acting like people in a messed up under the surface world of over powered individuals.
Deku… wants to get rid of the ABO gene. It’s hurt so many people in his life. Kaa-Chan was so angry and lonely that he just wanted an outlet. He had a good quirk but no one wanted to take him seriously anymore.
Because Deku had gained so many friends despite being Quirkless yet an Alph that none of them were genuine until JHA and he had All Might’s One for All.
…… note there was some bull of Kaa-Chan not participating in the past hero v villain arc because he wanted a pup with his “girlfriend” but that was a fxcking lie. He is on the villain side and didn’t want anyone to see him kill Sero (who got married and had a pup) to get an important item from him. Sero worked as a security at a highly guarded tech place.

So Deku was shocked when he encountered him near an abandoned tunnel. He escaped.
Toga had already died as a sad teenager but it was a direct action by (gravity girl) and it fxcked her up. She killed a girl her own age. A crying girl that screamed with so much pain in her heart. They were both betas but one was seen as a monster and the other didn’t understand until after she was gone and she became the “monster”.
Whose died in the past arcs until now:
Grape boy
Laser boy
Midnight lady
Jet legs
Alien girl
Tail boy
Idk but this has affected everyone and changed them and how they see things. They all now see there is a problem. These quirks divide people and ABO dehumanizes them.
There was another thing to factor in. All Mutant type quirked individuals did not have the ABO genes.
This is kept quiet and they are told they are betas with weaker scent glands.
But also…. The heat cycle is not some all encompassing thing, it’s just a longer period with less blood more hormones that affect your mood swings. You’re angrier and more territorial that can drop into a deep depressive state if it’s really bad.
They are humans not animals. We are working with human bodies. Biology of the human shows how we reproduce.
That doesn’t change. Regular human reproduction including the alternatives if someone is infertile.
With how humans are, it’s up to the person if they want to say Heat or Rut, but there is a difference.
Ruts are bouts of hormonal imbalances that can be curbed with medication.
Heats are basically longer periods that last the entire week instead just a few days within the week. It can be debilitating.
Some fics have this Omega obey command thing but no thank you. That goes against the human will and dehumanizes them more. It’s now a fxcking lie in universe to justify mistreatment that was disproven long ago but people love having an excuse to blame their actions.
Humans have sentience. Free will to make decisions for our selves. We have social structures but we aren’t stuck in hierarchies. We have the ability to rebel against mistreatment. All lively beings can act for their own survival and the survival of others.
Is a cat going to let you kick it without fighting back? No. You will bleed if it’s the last thing the cat will do.
Crows are smart enough to REMEMBER grievances and will act accordingly.
Tigers and Elephants with kill you if you wrong them.
Monkeys are vicious in prolonging suffering as a retaliation.
Humans can stab each other out of revenge.
Anyways the fics progresses from senior year of middle school to JHA to Adult hood.

Why in gods good name is there not a lot of good Membrane/ utonium ship fics where the girls are still five? I don’t want to see them in a relationship I want to see their dad dating other men!
With all of the filtering it came down to four fics but even then only one stood out to me!
Also no sxx, that’s not anything I want to read in a ppg fic at all! Never! The only way I’d accept that is if the girls aren’t anywhere in the fic and it focuses on the adults solely. Other the doesn’t feel like it matches.
I don’t ship the ppg with the rrb anymore, they are more like antagonistic cousins. Defeated by hugs okay? Blugh
Back on track.
I was trying to see if there were any BNHA x ppg fics but…. They didn’t peak my interest at all.
The girls got older? Midoria created them? SHIPPING? None of that fits!
I’m not 100% into BNHA I’d only really read fanfics with crossover.
I just wanted one where the class visits America and happen to meet the girls. Later going to japan to meet Eri.
But I then switched my search for professor ship fics with professor membrane.

I was thinking about El Dorado and RVB after the song good to be a god came on and wondered how I could twist it in any way I want.
Who are the main characters pretending to be god?
Church for one.
So that leaves the other one.
They were a blue and a red.
I thought about Simmons, but like I don’t know if it works.
I don’t remember the names of the main characters it’s been a long time since I’ve watched it.
There are a number ways this could work.
Kai is a thief they meet that gets flirty with Church to help her out.
The sword fighting at the beginning, really like the whole sister bit, but I like the idea of Simmons kind being family so he’d know Carolina’s the best…..
Maybe after they help Kai they meet Tex? I don’t ship Kai with anyone.
Hm…..
Actually I’ve got this idea of Grif somehow tricking Simmons into marrying him. Like there’s this place where Simmons and his family live that’s off limits.
Simmons is the “weakest” of the kin still living because he use to get sick often as a child and he thinks he’s the only “fully human” family member.
Uh or his family just has special powers and he thinks he never got any so the others are a tad protective and it’s also because he was the sickly child back then.
So closed off, sheltered Simmons rarely ever meets anyone because he’s rarely aloud out of the private land or home. He’s got this backstory that’s kind of sad.
His dad was hitter before he left, so Simmons’ mom wanted him to be safe when she couldn’t be there, she moved into her sister’s home.
Wither or not you want to do Trans Simmons is up to you, but I do just so you know.
How do simmons and grif meet?
Kai got into a little trouble due to a scuffle and Grif was trying to bail her out and they had to run. They hid in one of Simmons’ hiding spots in the forest surrounding his home.
He had a complete and utter panic attack so they had to calm him down. Afterwards, they realized where they are (in a very well known piece of private property) and who they are with (a sheltered, innocent, and possibly very important kin to the land owners and who is also visibly terrified but not hostile).
Believing in magic (don’t know if I want actual magic or just superstitious peoples) and hearing the rumors about the people of the property, Grif offers to be Simmons friend in exchange for safety.
Simmons (who crushes easily and has a few rejections behind him) lights up and throws any caution out the window. Grif realizes Simmons is blindly trusting him and that he’s so fxcking lonely.
But Grif knows only kin are allowed to be on the land, so he thinks fast on how to make his proposal semi official in a short amount of time.
First is words of promise
Second is mutual agreement
Third is proof
Kai helps them and stays quiet about what she thinks about this. It’s fxcked up they are tricking this poor guy, but also they need the protection.
Simmons is chatting excitedly about his new friends and wants to tell his mom about them. They aren’t excited about that.
Simmons holding Grif’s hand as he leads them to his house and that he’s the only one home right now, he was making pastries!
Grif might have just lucked out.
Soooo Simmons was already a very domestic and now he’s on his way to being a full househusband/ malewife. He doesn’t know what personal space is or the difference between friendly and lovestruck so he’s just feeding Grif by hand and wiping his face for him and embarrassing him in front of Kai and she’s trying not to laugh at her just engaged brother.
It comes up somehow, but Simmons gives Grif a thank you kiss on his cheek and he’s snuggling him- WHY IS HE SITTING ON HIS LAP???
“GET YOUR GAWD DXMNED HANDS OFF MY NEPHEW!!!!”, says a tall, angry man in light blue.
Simmons can’t read the fxcking room so he cheerfully waves.
“Hi uncle Church, this is my boyfriend! I just met him today!”
“Oh shxt don’t say it like that!?”
Kai’s having a blast now. Here comes Caboose!!! Yoinking Simmons to go play and eat the rest of the pastries. The Grif’s are left

Soooo had a homestuck red vs blue adjacent au. Like it takes elements of both and mixes together for a very interesting meet cute.
Hm…. Don’t know what to call the aliens because they aren’t trolls and the quadrants are a little different. Maybe. They don’t call them quadrants.

In this Tex is the younger sister to Allison and is named Beth.
Simmons is her son. How? She had a one night stand with a guy who left a few years after Simmons was born. Then she married a guy so she’d have someone to look after Simmons while she was on active duty.
Realized one day when she was calling that the guy wasn’t treating him right so she beat his xss and divorced him.
Her baby is sickly and scared and now she’s extra protective of him.
She decides one more time, but instead of marrying, she gets a guardian to protect him instead. The guardian is named Shelia and the twin sister to the guardian Fliss.
When Carolina, or Annette, met Simmons the first time she was a small girl and he was a wrinkly baby. He ran a high fever while she was there and got scared he wasn’t going to make it. She couldn’t stand the crying. He was fine.
Carolina doesn’t like Tex because she looks like her mother but doesn’t act like her. Eventually when she dies the first time, the director didn’t want to lose her so he did iffy experiments to save her.
Carolina didn’t know who Tex was under the helmet. She barely remembers after such a long time had passed. She was busy after all.
Simmons wasn’t allowed to see her at that time and only had Shelia. He was lonely and trying to figure himself out.
The first time she sees him again is him running to her from bullies. She was with his uncle and her team. Took her a second before scaring off the bullies and pulling him into a hug and kissing his face, she missed him.
When he noticed Carolina, he pulled away and she didn’t like that. Carolina felt her competitive spirit rise. Tex and her glared daggers.
They didn’t want him acknowledging the director so they ignored everyone else in favor of having lunch together.
“Who were those guys?”
“Nobody important.”
York realized he had to get on his hood side because he’s practically Carolina’s little brother and an important person to her.
I want York to be an alien but maybe I’ll make him human? Anyways, the whole church thing.
Uh… he’s a clone but i want him crushing on Tex so the director isn’t the one who made him, but he did use him.
The councilor is the one who was in charge of making the clones and had church watch over his younger cousin, Doc. Yes it’s coming all together now :3
With Grif, he and Simmons start off soft before getting into arguments. It comes to a head when Grif kisses him for the first time on a date that wasn’t a date because Simmkns didn’t know he was being flirted with.

Story idea: the queen is a reincarnator just watching the mess go down and see a different perspective of the story.
She knows the true ending of the story. The villainess was dating someone that worked under the ml and all of the gifts sent to them had been either mistaken or purposely mislead to make her look bad.
The villainess doesn’t even look the ml way in the game, all of her stares were off center. In the true end she gets publicly humiliated and gets water dumped on her. But she she only focuses on the fact that her boyfriend comes to her aid and gives her the ring he promised and the ml looks like a narcissistic idiot and fl dumps him right then because she was leading him on on purpose (the signs were all there) to get one specific item that belonged to her mother (a sword with a blue diamond in the hilt) and dipping to her own country.
The game was simple but the story was really messy and chaotic. The players loved that the villainess and the heroine didn’t actually fight and it was the ml that was causing the problems. The girls actually chilled when they were alone.
Again, fl needed her mom’s sword back that the ml stole while in her country. So she girlboss, gatekeep, gaslight, (what’s the fourth?) her way into getting what she wants. We support girl wrongs and girl failures. She is not a girl failure though, she’s a girl right.

If I ever write a reaction fic, I will give characters the option to blur out backstories like if there’s thing a character doesn’t want others to know that is extremely personal.
Ex. A character has trauma they haven’t moved passed and aren’t ready to face.
They can either let others see their past or let it blur out.
