In   this   cocoon   of   intimacy,   they   lock   eyes,   their   souls   laid   bare   in   the   tenderness   of   the   moment.   Digits   entwine   beneath   the   water's   surface,   a   tacit   affirmation   of   their   connection,   their   love   a   palpable   presence.   External   world   dissipates, &   all   that   remains   is   the   cadence   of   their   synchronized   breaths   &   the   susurrus   of   water   against   dermis.   Time   appears   to   remain   still   as   they   indulge   in   the   warmth.   Rose   petals   adhere   to   their   bodies,   a   delightful   reminder   of   the   pulchritude   they   find   in   each   other.

Candlelight   flickers   across   her   countenance,   emitting   a   dulcet   glow   onto   her   flushing   cheeks.   Itachi's   utterances,   saturated   with   adoration,   make   her   heart   dance   like   the   wings   of   a   hummingbird.   Even   after   all   their   time   together,   she   still   finds   herself   flushing   at   his   affectionate   utterances.   It's   as   if   each   sweet   nothing   whispered   is   the   first.   ❝   I-Is   that   a   compliment?   ❞   Asks   coyly,   averting   her   eyes   momentarily   to   the   whirling   flame.   She   cannot   resist   the   magnetic   pull   of   his   gaze   for   long.   Her   own   eyes   find   their   way   back   to   his.   ❝ Anyways,   I   adore   you.   ❞  Breathes,   words   slipping   from   her   lips.   She   sinks   beneath   the   water's   surface,   submerging   herself   in   liquid   heat,   hues   peeking   just   above   the   waterline.

Honestly, I find it hilariously ironic that I find myself not paying too much attention to the Akis of Ice Man and Cut Man, the most popular Robot Masters of MMFC (not because I dislike them or anything, far from it, I just worry that they don't stand out too much compared to the others and am still trying to figure out ways to fix that), meanwhile the Akis of Air Man, Chemistry Man, and Guts Man, arguably the least popular Robot Masters of MMFC, are some of my absolute favorites and I greatly enjoy exploring both their characters and their relationships with their adoptive dads.

Literally shout-out to all the ooc bsd fics out there thank you for making the characters a thousand times more sympathetic and likeable

||. Thinking quietly about Thor and his friends. How they all filled a space in him and outside of him that Thor needed fulfilled... The most obvious being in the group's battle formation, but even outside of that too.

Volstagg with his jolly nature helping Thor keep morale up, being the glue that keeps the warriors together, especially when it comes to making group compromises and hard decisions. Hogun with his straight-laced practicality , the way he'd be able to offer an outside perspective to Asgard's ways — something invaluable to Thor. Fandral for all of his apparent womanizing likely keeping up with the courts of Asgard and so Thor would be in the know in a much more close manner through what Fandral knows, and what he's able to find out in Thor's stead. And he's quite personable, in a manner much more suited to crowds than Thor... so that makes the finding of information that much easier, and quicker to relay. (Thor may be a prince, but he's also got Homeschooler Energy out the wazzoo.) Thinking about Sif and Thor being something of childhood friends... Or as close to childhood friends as someone like Thor can have, when you live in a palace your whole life and are largely confined to its walls with your tutors and your parents and your brother for company keep. But Sif would be the exception, I'd imagine, if indeed she is of noble birth the way I'd suspect it.... and Thor and Sif would have gotten along splendidly, especially once he finds out her desire to become a shield-maiden, and then that leads into learning about the Valkyrie, and of course then Thor would want Sif to be HIS Valkyrie, because of all the people who are mighty and brave and compassionate, and who would then deserve to be his esteemed commander of guard, surely why WOULDN'T it be Lady Sif?

And of course there's Loki, who completes many of Thor's loose ends and falterings in plenty of ways, but that's it's own story and its own post for a different time.

Thor picked his warriors well and he picked them wisely. There's not a single quest or mission they can't overcome because each of their strengths buoy the other's weaknesses. Together, when in sync, they're all six of them a well-oiled machine, and it's really no wonder that they, together, become "Asgard's Finest", and it's really no wonder that they were all to be Thor's council as King. (If only all of them lived...)

[My ass lowkey not wanting to continue my read through of the Recruited fic because I know this is one of the last times Nabooru and Vegeta fuck get along for a good long while and as close to happy together as they could be at that point. ⭐️ i like to think that very early on in furina & neuvillette's working relationship, shortly after he was invited to fontaine, furina took a very keen — not controlling per se but definitely her brand of obnoxious — interest in how he was presented to the people and was responsible for the design and colour scheme of his first set of robes as iudex ( the concept of which she described in painstaking detail to the poor seamstress granted the honour ). it was partly a power play as she had to prove to the hydro sovereign that she was the one in control and pulling the strings, but there were some good intentions behind it as furina saw how much of an outsider he was ( particularly as he brought the melusines with him and we know the initial trouble that caused ) and wanted to help him assimilate into fontainian society as smoothly as possible. she became less overbearing over time but those first months involved a number of these "teaching" moments as she attempted to instruct him in the way fontainians dressed, ate, conducted business, pursued their hobbies etc etc. imagine it's like the princess diaries and furina is julie andrews lmaooo

⭐️being a social butterfly herself, navia does struggle, particularly early on in their partnership post-AQ, with neuvillette's solitary and emotionally distant nature, and i think she quickly deduces that this makes him a rather lonely individual, too. so she will try to counter this by spontaneously turning up at the palais mermonia from time to time ( without an appointment, naturally, and yes she will interrupt whatever business he has at that particular moment ), not on official business but just to bring him the newest batch of macarons that she has baked or to ask him about his day/tell him about hers. the palais feels like such a cold, lonely building so navia will try to fill it with as much warmth as possible whenever she is visiting.

⭐️ i think out of all three house siblings, navia gets on the best with lyney and as they bond post-AQ/during the poisson rebuild, they both instinctively recognise a kinship as being two young people who carry the burdens of their respective institutions and all of the pressure that brings. but navia is also not blind to the house's secrets and is capricious by nature so these two have definitely been awake until late playing cards or other tabletop-esque games trying to wheedle information out of one another. navia never ever succeeds in getting lyney to divulge his secrets, but she puts up an admirable fight.

⭐️ while it is true that dehya will rarely, if ever, compliment alhaitham to his face out of fear of inflating his ego and never ever living it down, if she is ever in a situation ( either with alhaitham present or in the presence of others ) where she feels he is facing unfair criticism, she will always stand up for him or back him up. his direct manner is something she greatly respects, even if it is a little harsh at times, and he has certainly done enough over the course of the AQ to earn her loyalty.

⭐️ beidou will always ensure that the alcor is a home and safe haven for kazuha for as long as he wants it to be, but a part of the kinship these two share is understanding that neither can be tied down permanently to one place. so if kazuha were to ever come to her and say that he wanted to leave and move on, there would be no hard feelings whatsoever and beidou would do whatever she could to make that transition as smooth as possible. her one and only condition for kazuha leaving is that he remains in contact with her by letter to save her worrying over him like a mother hen.

OKAY SO I JUST HAD A FIC/VERSE IDEA THAT INSTANTLY REVIVED MY ZEXAL MUSE.........

basically it's like, for whatever reason i haven't settled on yet, a large portion of the zexal cast suddenly died after the finale of zexal i. kaito, yuma/astral, and iii and v were survivors, and they managed to find a way to time travel back to before zexal started to try and fix everything.

but they also specifically decided to try and not let ryouga and the other "innocents"/ordinary people get involved this time. this was mostly to protect them, but on top of that, iii, v and tron decided not to let iv get involved either. for tron and v, it was more about his reckless nature - he might've done something in the bad future that got people killed accidentally, idk - and for iii, it was a reluctant choice to try and protect him.

anyway so ryoga and iv, still enemies, are basically forced into a position where they don't know wtf is going on with everyone around them and are having secrets hidden from them everywhere they look. which is frustrating enough for them, but then someone with knowledge from the future starts trying to revive ryouga's memories as a barian for their own purposes....

anyway this is a mess and i'm not sure how IC it is for the characters to not involve IV especially in things, so I'd need a good justification for that, but. I just love the concept of a reluctant iv-ryouga team up where they try to get to the bottom of things. also durbe is there because i said so
