I had to think about this for a BIT but at the end of the day, it's gotta be Midnighter. He may not be soothing, but I think of him often when I'm in the urge to chomp everyone.

I'm a hot black coffee person, but since I moved to New England I've been doing my part by drinking more iced coffee

Soda, but where I'm from people say both!

Ok during that trip to Salem, I got a bar of soap that was made to smell like the Maine coastline, and it DID. It smelled salty and pine-y and delicious. I called it my selkie soap haha

A guy I used to work with when I was 19-20. Took me to see a lame ass movie with Leonardo DiCaprio, and then tried to convince to sleep with him, and made me very uncomfortable. Actually said the words that I “owed him.” Obvi I never went out with him again.

Just over 10% done! 🎉

I finally managed to hack and slash my way through the area that stumped me, I finished his wild hair, and I'm working on my way down to start his other arm. I'm still bamboozled by how he's turning out 🫶 Dreamy McDreamface is looking hella fly!!

Probably the "Stargate Atlantis" fandom. You can ship anything and they just ask you if you have enough snacks. They mind their business and ignore canon like they should.

There were definitely parts of the TWD fandom I wish I could erase from my memory. I don't regret being a part of the fandom because it was so great at the start of the show and I met a lot of my mutuals there. But damn-

Definitely cervix-deep in Polin right now.

I also would ship Daniel with basically anyone on "Interview with a Vampire" because that old man needs to be fucked stat. Morally, we must do it for him.

22. Is there anything you regret writing?

Interesting question. I think the easy answer is: maybe. But the more complicated answer is: no, actually. What I do regret is how people chose to behave in response to said fic/s. There is this strange desire in fandoms and in the pools of people who consume fan-works, to control the author or artist. Each fandom has a 'purity police' squad that determines what is 'allowed' and what can get you canceled.

Are there fics I wouldn't write if I could do it again? Yes. Because perhaps I could have handled my emotions in a better and more productive way. Perhaps I should have just disengaged and blocked and gone for a walk outside. But I didn't. I can own that. I can admit that I would probably do it different these days. But then again...when people press me....

39. What is you greatest strength as a writer?

Maybe my willingness to try almost anything once.

40. What do you struggle the most with in your writing?

Paring down my prose. I love writing details, I would say I have gotten better at using them more effectively over the years. But the desire to OVER WRITE THE DETAILS IS SO STRONG.

50. How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?

I don't remember specifics, but I recall being a young teenager and watching "Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's: The Lost World" and wanting to see something happen on screen so bad I just decided to write it. This was long before I knew that fanfiction existed.

Some of you new to The Sandman might be confused as to why the main character answers to both Morpheus and Dream (Dream of The Endless).

Here's the very simplified answer. He is the living embodiment of dreams. An Oneiros as the Greeks called him. Oneiros just means Dream. However Dream of The Endless has many names and many forms. And the easiest way to describe him as being like a giant crystal.

Each version of him that you see is like a facet or shard of that crystal. The part of Dream we come to know in The Sandman is Morpheus. But there are other aspects. And only one aspect (piece) answers to Morpheus. The one we sometimes call Daniel does not answer to Morpheus.

Years ago DC used to sell a set of plushie dolls of Morpheus and Daniel and they were labeled like that to distinguish between the two aspects of Dream. So yes, Dream and Morpheus are both correct. But if you want to be specific about the very Goth incarnation that got captured by Roderick Burgess, that one is specifically Morpheus.

Daniel is named for the oneiromancer of Abrahamic religions. And Morpheus is the Roman personification. The name Morpheus means shaper of forms. That's why the fae call him Lord Shaper. It's the literal translation of his name, which is why it's very off-putting for me when I read The Sandman Universe spin-offs and they are calling Daniel "Lord Shaper." Lord Shaper is the literal translation of Morpheus. It's not a universal title for Dream of The Endless. Also if Morpheus is (in theory) spending his afterlife in Hob's Dream now free of being Dream of The Endless but existing as a dream entity, than he probably retains Morpheus as the one name he took with him.

I learned some clever lighting tricks and since this was on the back of my WIP projects I decided to use it as my testing grounds and…here it is!!
