I Need You
Pairing: Dean Winchester x Reader
Request: I love your writing! Could you do a Dean x reader, where you have a really bad migraine and he takes care of you?
Note: I know everyone who has migraines experiences them slightly differently. Thankfully I haven't had one in years, but I used to have them quite frequently when I was a teenager, so the way it's described here is just how I know them!
Masterlist
Story:
Sam, Dean, and [Y/N] were in the car on their way to a motel. They were in the middle of what looked like a witch hunt, and had spent the morning and afternoon interviewing the family and friends of several victims who had died under strange circumstances in the last month. [Y/N] was in the back, while Sam and Dean were bickering about something in the front. She didn't know what they were arguing about, but she suddenly found both of their voices extremely irritating, and she knew why. The top right of her vision looked like it had been burned by glancing at the sun or a bright light, except it wasn't fading. It was growing slowly, creeping around her peripheral. It was moving, almost shimmering like a kaleidoscope that she couldn't quite focus on. The pain hadn't started, but the visual aura along with her irritation meant one thing; a migraine was coming.
She didn't get them frequently, and she also hadn't pinned down what triggered them. Some of her friends in the past had suggested common triggers like loud noises or coffee, but there was no consistent trigger for her. They seemed completely random and unpredictable. Having one in the middle of a hunt was extremely inconvenient. It wasn't a pain that she could work through like she had with a broken arm, or a bullet hole in her shoulder, or a stab wound in her leg, which could all be bandaged or stitched up. Migraines meant not being able to see, not being able to stand noise or light, and vomiting. There was no way she could interview anyone or chase down any witches in that condition.
"Oh my god will you two please just shut the fuck up". She finally snapped at them before closing her eyes and leaning back in her seat. Sam and Dean shared an expression before Dean glanced at her in the rear view mirror and turned off the music, and Sam turned around to look at her.
"Hey". Sam reached over to tap her leg. "What's wrong?"
"Don't touch me". She mumbled at him.
"Okay, sorry, are you feeling alright? You look kinda pale". Sam was wearing a worried expression that [Y/N] didn't see as she hadn't reopened her eyes. She didn't answer, she just grumbled something under her breath.
"Sweetheart? Can you talk to us?" Dean was trying to get as many glances in the rear view mirror as he could while still driving in a straight line.
"I want to go to the motel".
"Okay, yeah we're on our way, about another twenty minutes to go. What's wrong [Y/N]?" Dean asked her.
"Migraine. No more talking, please. Your voices are so grating". Neither Sam nor Dean took offense to this. They had been with her when she'd had a migraine before and they knew that nothing she said was personal. They just shared another glance before they both turned their attention to the road ahead of them. After five minutes Dean noticed that she was twisting and turning in her seat, very obviously unable to get comfortable. The pain had started. It wasn't unbearable yet, just a dull throb behind her eye, but enough that the hard glass of the Impala's window was agitating her further. Dean nudged Sam and looked down at his hoodie that was sitting between them that he'd taken off earlier, before gesturing back at [Y/N]. Sam nodded in understanding and grabbed the hoodie. He reached around and slowly and gently tucked it between her head and the window, trying not to disturb her. She felt the soft hoodie and turned towards it, breathing in Dean's scent. "Thank you". She whispered. Not long after that, she drifted off to sleep, the pain not bad enough to keep her awake now that she had a pillow.
Dean drove carefully, trying to avoid any unnecessary bumps or sudden stops. He slowly pulled into the motel and parked the car. Both Sam and Dean made sure to close their doors quietly. "Can you call Cas and ask him to go with you to the sheriffs office? I don't want to leave her here alone". Dean said quietly to Sam over the roof of the car. Sam nodded and took out his phone before walking away to call Cas. Dean came around to [Y/N]'s door and opened it slowly, putting his hand against his hoodie to stop her from falling over as the door opened wider. He leaned into the car and pulled her towards him so her head rested on his chest and his arms were under her knees and around her shoulders. He lifted her from the car right when Sam was finished on the phone. Sam jogged back to close the car door for Dean, and they made their way to the room. Sam opened the door and let Dean in first with [Y/N], and immediately went to close the curtains in the room to stop the late afternoon sun from hitting [Y/N]'s eyes.
Dean slowly laid her down on the bed that he had slept in the previous night. The room had two beds and a couch, and usually [Y/N] would take the couch since both of the boys were too tall, but he couldn't put her anywhere but a bed in this state; he would take the couch later if he had to. He lightly brushed her hair away from her face and pressed the back of his hand to her forehead. Giving a look to Sam, the two of them left the motel room and closed the door behind them. "Cas said he can meet me at the station in fifteen". Sam said while Dean handed him the keys to the Impala. "I'll keep you updated by text". Dean nodded, eager to get back inside. "Can you keep me updated too? On [Y/N]?"
"Yeah of course Sammy. Thanks for being cool with me staying behind". Dean patted him on the shoulder and Sam pressed his lips together in a small smile before leaving to go meet Cas. Dean made his way quietly back into the motel room and went straight for his bag to look for the painkillers he'd brought with him. He didn't want to wake her up since she looked peaceful, but he knew if he didn't get the pills into her now, the pain would eventually wake her up and be worse later. He filled a glass of water for her and reached over to gently shake her shoulder. "Hey, [Y/N], wake up". Her eyes fluttered open and then immediately shut again. "Come on, you need to take these".
"Go away". She mumbled. He sighed, but didn't move.
"[Y/N], however bad it is now, it's gonna be a hell of a lot worse later if you don't take something for it". She moaned and grabbed a pillow to shove in front of her face. "You have to sit up. I know you don't want to, but you'll regret it later if you don't". He took the pillow from her, her grasp on it was weak. He pushed his hand under her neck and down around her shoulders and pulled her up to a sitting position. She groaned but didn't try to resist. She did manage to open her eyes, only to glare at him. "I know, I know. I'm sorry. Please just take these and then you can go right back to sleep". He handed her the glass of water and the pills, and she took them. He took the glass from her and put it on the bedside table before slowly letting her back down onto the bed. "Is there anything else you need?" He whispered to her. When she looked up at him he could see tears starting to form in her eyes and his heart broke for her.
"You". She sniffed and closed her eyes tight, letting a tear out to drip down her cheek.
"I'm here, what do you need?" He wiped her cheek with his thumb.
"I need you". She turned over onto her side to face away from him. Now understanding what she meant, Dean kicked off his shoes and jeans and pulled his flannel off, leaving him in his t-shirt and boxers. He got under the covers behind her and wrapped his arm around her chest, pulling her closer so he was spooning her, and rested his chin on top of her head. The pressure from his head on hers was in just the right place to help alleviate some of the pain, and being close to his smell was extremely comforting to [Y/N]. She fell back to sleep fairly quickly. Dean didn't get to have many moments like this with her, though he wanted them, and he savoured them when they did happen. He wanted them to be able to be vulnerable around each other, to be able to hold each other, feel safe around each other. Unfortunately those moments generally only came when one, or both of them, were in pain. He wanted more. He wanted those moments even when everything was going right and when they were both happy. He wanted to wake up to one of those moments every morning and go to sleep with one of those moments every night.
Dean and [Y/N] had been resting for about thirty minutes when he felt her stir. He tightened his hold around her instinctually and she suddenly froze. "Dean".
"Yeah? I'm here".
She pushed the covers back and immediately pushed his arm away and jumped out of the bed. She ran to the bathroom and he could see her kneel down at the toilet through the open door. He realised she was getting sick and hopped up to rush over to her and hold her hair back. He rubbed her back soothingly and felt her forehead again just to make sure she didn't have a temperature too. "You're okay, it's okay". She was crying again.
"I hate this".
"I know, I hate it too. Do you think you're done?" She nodded her head and he reached for a cloth on the counter to wipe her face. "You wanna brush your teeth?" He asked and she nodded again. "Okay, come here". He looped his hands under her arms and pulled her up to her feet. She wobbled a bit, her vision still partially blocked and the headache and empty stomach making her dizzy. He held her steady by her shoulders as she brushed her teeth and rinsed her mouth, then he helped her back to the bed. She sat on the edge of the bed and he got her some fresh water. He knelt down in front of her and handed her the glass, placing his hands on her thighs to still keep her steady while she drank. When she was finished he took the glass back from her and put it back in the table while she got back under the covers. "How's the pain?" He asked.
"It's not as bad as before, but it still sucks".
"Do you want me to lay with you again?"
"Yes".
Dean checked his phone for any updates from Sam or Cas before sending off an update text of his own, then crawled into the bed beside [Y/N]. He opened his arms and she climbed on top of him, lying completely on his chest and stomach with her legs either side of his. He stroked her back absentmindedly as she dozed off again, lulled by the steady up and down of his chest. His hand slowly stopped moving on her back and lay still, her soft breathing sending him to sleep too.
***
When Dean woke, the soft light that had lit the thin curtains before was now gone. He looked down and could just about make out [Y/N]'s figure still on top of him. He reached over to his phone to see an update from Sam; they had figured out who the witch was and were heading back to the motel for the night, it wouldn't take them long to get back. Dean looked down again and pressed his lips to [Y/N]'s hair, and she sighed. "You awake Sweetheart?"
"Yeah".
"How are you feeling?"
"It's gone, I just feel kinda tired".
"Do you wanna get up? You need anything?".
She lifted her head, it was dark in the room but she could still see his face quite clearly. "I need you. And not just when I'm sick". She admitted softly. His hand moved up her back to hold the back of her neck.
"I know, I need you too. I need this". She watched as his eyes flickered down to her lips then back to her eyes. She nodded, giving him the permission he was silently asking for. He leaned up and pulled her down at the same time to press his lips to hers, and they both melted into the kiss. She bit his lower lip and he chuckled before pushing her sideways onto her back and leaning over her. He smirked at her before leaning down and biting her lip, getting her back and causing her to giggle. He slide his hand down to the hem of her shirt and pushed it up just enough to get his hand onto her bare waist. The action made her gasp and he used the opportunity to slip his tongue into her mouth, something she eagerly welcomed.
Things were getting more heated when the door opened and Sam and Cas walked in. Dean and [Y/N] both snapped their heads towards the door as Sam flicked on the lights. Sam's eyes went wide and Cas tilted his head while Dean pulled the covers back over both of them even though they hadn't removed any pieces of clothing just yet. Sam cleared his throat. "Um, feeling better [Y/N]?" He awkwardly scratched the back of his neck. [Y/N] felt her cheeks heat up and nodded at him. "Do we uh, do we need to get a second room?" He asked. Dean looked down at [Y/N] before looking back at Sam and Cas.
"Yeah, yeah I think that would be best".
Sam nodded. "Right, we'll um, regroup in the morning?"
"Sounds good". Dean nodded back at him. Sam then left to head back out the door and grabbed Cas' arm to pull him out too. Dean looked back down at [Y/N] and they both started laughing before [Y/N] wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him back in for a quick kiss. Dean leaned his forehead against hers and just gazed into her eyes. "I need you".
"I need you too".

Pairings: Steve Harrington x fem!reader
cw: Friends to lovers, angst, hurt, romance, eventual smut (probably), no use of y/n, Steve being a bit of an ass
Author's note: My first proper fic in a while so please be gentle on me. <3 There will be 2 Parts to this fic if the demand is there.
"Are we there yet?" Robin whined from the back of Steve's car, repeating the same question she'd asked ten minutes earlier. Frustration having set in about an hour ago when Eddie had fallen asleep and decided to use her shoulder as a pillow. You couldn't exactly blame her for being pissed off, the journey had felt long and drawn out and the current heat wave definitely wasn’t helping the current situation, with irritated sighs and huffs being echoed over Eddie’s loud snoring.
"Relax, Robs, we're almost there." Steve promised his friend through the rear view mirror. "Right?" He asked, squeezing your thigh for reassurance in the passenger seat beside him, begging you to say yes either way so Robin would quit bugging him. You flinched at the sudden feeling of Steve’s warm hand on your skin, shifting just enough so that his hand fell from your leg. Your uncomfortable body language hadn't gone unnoticed by him, looking at you in utter confusion before turning his focus back to the open road again.
"Oh yeah, about a half hour and we should be at the motel." You muffled, scanning the map as your friend breathed a sigh of relief behind you. You had navigated the majority of the journey, swapping with Robin forty minutes in when it became clear she couldn't understand the directions, meaning you were left with no choice but to sit up front with Steve because Eddie had already smoked a joint by himself and couldn't be trusted to guide you to your required destination safely or on time.
He had won four Metallica tickets on some radio show contest a few days prior, pleading with his friend to drive you all to Ohio in his BMW so he could see his favourite band play live for the first time. It wasn't really Steve's kind of music but who was he to turn down a night away from Hawkins?
You had been friends with Steve and the others ever since he called to Dustin's a couple of years ago while you were babysitting at the Henderson household, blissfully unaware of the danger that surrounded Hawkins at the time. Their friendship had taken you a little bit by surprise at first but you had to admit, you found their bond totally adorable. Especially, when Steve would give Dustin advice about girls and how to do his hair and how they'd protect each other and now you too, every time the world went to shit. You really didn't expect to get mixed up in a world involving supernatural creatures when you said yes to a babysitting job, that was definitely not on the advertisement but now you'd do anything for that kid and the rest of the group to keep them safe.
Steve had been drawn to you from the very beginning, not at all prepared for a pretty girl to answer the door to him while he waited for the younger boy. He immediately recognised you from high school, knowing it definitely wasn't the first time you had caught his attention.
"Oh hey, sorry, I didn't know Henderson had a sister." He muttered innocently, sliding his hands in to his pockets as you leaned against the doorframe wearing a plaid skirt and woolen cardigan.
"Pfft he wishes...I'm just his favourite babysitter or at least I'm the only one crazy enough to look after him.” You joked as Steve let out a small chuckle. “So, what are you doing here anyway ‘King Steve’? Mrs Henderson didn’t mention Dustin having a play date tonight.” You teased, folding your arms as Steve pressed his tongue to his cheek, a little taken aback by your wit. "Well, if Mrs Henderson had told me Dustin had such a pretty babysitter, I might have come play more often." He flirted, enjoying the back and forth between you, completely forgetting the reason he had called to Dustin's in the first place.
“Dude, that's my babysitter and she's awesome so don't even think about trying any shit with her!" Dustin had warned his older friend, seeing the lust in Steve's eyes as you walked away to let them talk.
Of course you liked Steve, he was gorgeous and sweet and he wasn't the stuck up asshole you'd remembered from high school. But, you knew that he was still getting over Nancy and you wouldn't be anyones rebound girl. So, you started occupying your time with Billy Hargrove to get over your little crush on Steve and it wasn't long until he became your boyfriend. You actually liked Billy, saw parts of him that no one else had but your friendship with Steve complicated things between you from the beginning. Cause, every time Billy did something to hurt you or piss you off, it was Steve you turned to for comfort, leading to fist fights between the two boys and you caught in the middle.
Billy hated that you were so close with his biggest rival, he hated that the other boy knew so much about you and your relationship and he hated knowing that your feelings for Steve went way past platonic, even if you hadn't realised it yet. So, when he eventually made you choose between your friendship with Steve and your relationship with him, Billy wasn't all that surprised when you chose Steve. Not that you ever told your friend he was the reason for the break up.
Over the next few years, you and Steve had gotten even closer, spending more time in his house than your own because he hated being there by himself and you didn't want to go home either. Your Mother had long passed away and your Father was a drunk. It was one of the many things you had in common, both of you having shitty parents and it was nice to have someone who understood how you were feeling. But lately, you had taken a step back from him, deciding to stay at Robin's house instead until you had enough money for a place of your own, because Billy Hargrove had been right all along, you were in love with your best friend and you were fucking terrified of him finding out.
It wasn’t supposed to happen, you certainly didn't want it to happen, it was so cliche that it made you physically nauseous, but thinking you had lost Steve when he disappeared under the water that night on the lake was all it took for you to realise just how much he really meant to you. Now you didn't know to act around your friend, not wanting to give him the slightest inkling of your current feelings towards him. You hated the way your stomach would flip when he'd smile at you, cheeks heating when he’d compliment you and the way you'd almost forget to breathe when he leaned in to kiss your cheek after picking you up from work, it was truly tragic. But to make matters worse, Robin had let slip that Steve was back on the dating scene again and you were just a tiny bit jealous and a little pissed off that he had failed to mention that detail to you personally when you spent so much time with him.
The sun was bright, high in the sky, heat taking over the BMW before you rolled the window down, welcoming the instant breeze as you pulled your sunglasses from the top of your head back over your eyes. Steve was immediately hypnotised by the scent of your shampoo and perfume as your hair blew in the wind. He tried to stay focused on the road in front of him but you were making it incredibly difficult in your low cut crop top and tiny denim shorts, hanging the top half of your body out the window for air. He was sure he almost drooled at the small sight of your laced bra that threatened to unveil itself if you shuffled in your seat much more.
Steve silently wondered what had been going on with you lately, you had become so distant and he was worried that he'd done something to upset you, said something stupid, but he couldn't think of anything. You didn't stay with him anymore, you flinched when he'd touch you and now, you barely even looked at him. Whatever was going on with you, he needed to find out soon, because it was driving him crazy.
"You ok over there, Dingus?" Robin teased, elbow leaning on the back of the drivers seat, catching Steve gazing at you. She was sure that you and Steve belonged together but you refused to let her know the full extent of your feelings because as much as you loved Robin, you didn't trust her not accidentally spill the beans to Steve.
“Uh yeah, m’fine.” He swallowed, relieved you hadn’t caught him staring as you rolled the window up again. He knew he shouldn't have been looking at you like that, you were his best friend for christ sake and he was sort of dating someone now, but he just couldn't help himself, not when it came to you. He never could.
“Eyes on the road, Romeo.” Robin whispered, pinching his cheek as he swotted her hand away, focusing back on the road again.
Thirty minutes later and you had arrived at the motel you’d be spending the night in, climbing in to the backseat, shaking Eddie to wake him from his slumber as Robin and Steve went to check in.
“Wake up sleeping beauty, we’re here.” You announced as he stretched out, yawning loudly.
“Oh man, why’d you wake me up, I was having such a good dream. You and Nance were giving me a—"
“I’m begging you not to finish that sentence, Munson.” You pleaded, placing a hand over his mouth.
“Hey, I’m a guy. I can’t help that I dream about my hot friends.” He defended as you got back out of the car while he followed suit.
“That doesn’t mean you have to tell me about it though.” You shuddered as he let out a laugh. “So, you finally gonna bunk up with Harrington tonight, put the rest of us out of our misery?” He grinned, pulling a little worn box out of his pocket, lighting up a cigarette.
“Nope. I’m sharing with Robin, you’re bunking with Steve.” You replied, rummaging in the trunk for your duffel bag, not really wanting to talk about Steve.
"We could swap if you wa-"
"I’m good with Robin." You interrupted, as he picked up on the irritated tone in your voice. "What's going on with you two lately?" Eddie questioned.
"Nothing." You shrugged, swinging your bag over your shoulder, Eddie looking at you, completely unconvinced by the answer you had given him. "Total bullshit."
"There's nothing going on, Eddie." You repeated.
"Did you guys finally do it or something? Is that why you aren't staying at his house anymore?" He asked as you let out a sarcastic laugh.
"No, we didn't 'do it'..….how did you even know I haven't been staying at Steve's?” You quizzed, Eddie offering you a drag of his cigarette, leaning against the Beamer. “He told me. Asked me if I knew what was going on with you, told him if he didn't know, there was no way I would."
“Rob said he’s been going on a couple of dates recently, I figured me sleeping in the next bedroom might be a bit of a mood killer." You revealed, exhaling the cigarette smoke as Eddie grinned at you. “Ah, so the issue is he's not doing you?" He joked as you rolled your eyes.
"That's not the issue, Eddie, there is no issue!" You lied, handing Eddie back what was left of his cigarette as he chuckled at your frustration.
“If you say so princess."
"So are you ever going to tell that girl how you feel or are you happy drooling at her from her a distance for the rest of your life?" Robin questioned Steve at the check in desk while he tried to shush her.
"Jesus Robin, will you stop with that shit? We're just friends, alright?" Steve declared, leaning heavily on the counter.
"No dingus, we're just friends, you don't look at your friends the way you look at her, there's a difference." She stated as Steve looked out the window, back to where you and Eddie were still talking outside in the parking lot. Seeing you two laughing outside stirred up a hint of jealousy in him because it should have been him you were laughing with, not Eddie. Steve was supposed to be your best friend and it was killing him that you were treating him like a total stranger.
"I don't even know why you're dating other chicks, you've got the perfect girl right out there." Robin pointed, as Steve let out a frustrated breath.
"m'not dating ‘other chicks’ Robin, just one ch...girl, Tracy, remember?" He asked as Robin laughed. "Oh I remember, do you? Beause it didn't seem like you did when you were mentally undressing your best friend back in the car."
"I wasn't "mentally undressing" her!"
"You totally were though." She muttered under her breath.
"Robin, I swear to god, just drop it. I'm seeing Tracy now, please, just let it go." He begged as she finally decided to ease up on her friend, seeing the annoyance on his face. "Fine, but she was a real bitch in high school, y'know?"
"You thought everyone was a bitch in high school." Steve replied unamused at her response. "Not everyone." She argued, turning her head to where you were walking in with Eddie.
"Ok, here we go, we have one room reserved under a Miss Buckley and one reserved under a Mr. Munson is that correct?" The receptionist asked.
"Yes, Ma'am." Eddie replied with a cheesy grin, winking at the girl behind the desk.
"Great, your rooms are ready now. Here's your key Mr. Munson you're in room fourteen and Miss Buckley, you're in room sixteen, enjoy your stay." She smiled as you all gathered your things to head to your residence for the night.
"Fuck, there was something really hot about the way she kept calling me Mr. Munson." Eddie smirked as you walked towards the rooms.
"She was just being polite, you pervert." You muttered, shoving your friend playfully.
"Aww don't be jealous sweetheart, you're still my number one girl." He said throwing an arm around you.
"In your dreams, Munson." You fought back.
"You were." He teased, sticking his tongue out playfully. Steve walked ahead, finally finding the room he'd be sharing with Eddie, swiping the room key, pushing the old creaky door in with his shoulder.
"Oh you gotta be fucking kidding me!" Steve cursed, opening the door as you all entered to see what he was referring to.
“What’s the prob….oh.” Eddie sighed, finally noticing the lack of a second double bed.
"Aww, this is so romantic. All you need is some candles and rose petals and you’re all set.” Robin teased, earning a glare from both guys.
"S'not funny Robin, we’re not sharing a bed, go check your room and see what you’ve got.” He requested as Robin wandered off to see if your room had the same issue.
"Shit, I'm sure I asked for two beds dude." Eddie stated rubbing his neck as the other let out an irritated breath. "You had one job Munson..."
"We've got one double bed too." Robin revealed, swinging from the doorframe unbothered. Sharing a bed wasn’t an issue for either of you, you'd done it most weekends at Steve's anyway when Robin was too drunk to go home or when you stayed at hers.
"Alright I'll go back to the front desk and see if that hot little receptionist can help us out." Eddie grinned, heading for the door but you placed a hand on his chest to hold him back.
"Easy there lover boy, the sign said "No Vacancies", it's totally sold out." You explained, hearing Steve curse behind you.
"Looks like you guys are roomies then." Robin laughed as they both shook their heads in defiance.
"No, absolutely not." Steve refused.
"Agreed." The other boy reiterated.
"Are you guys really that immature? It's just one night." You explained, taking a seat on the end of the bed.
"Have you seen the size of Harrington's dick? I don't want that thing poking at me all night!" Eddie shrieked as Steve smirked smugly. Your eyes widened at the mention of your friends package, sending them straight to his dick. Your movement hadn’t gone unnoticed by Steve who was looking at you confidently, almost enjoying the fact he had caught you staring at him.
"So what do you suggest then?" Robin quizzed, getting bored of standing around, wanting to freshen up before the concert.
"Easy, I go with one of you lovely ladies and one of you stays here with ol' big dick." He proposed, nudging his head towards Steve who seemed more than happy with that arrangement.
"No way." You refused knowing you’d end up getting stuck with Steve.
"Why not?" Steve quizzed, folding his strong arms, almost looking insulted by how quick you shot down the suggested arrangement.
Because you're sleeping with someone that's not me...
"Why should Robin and I have to switch because you two aren't man enough to share a bed for a couple of hours?" You spat, directing the question towards your best friend.
"Because we're guys! It's different for girls..." Eddie interrupted before Steve had the chance to speak.
"Afraid you'll like it?" Robin teased.
"If it's that much of a problem, why don't one of you just sleep in the car." You suggest, earning a glare from Steve. "I fucking drove us here, m'not sleepin' in the damn car!" Steve answered back as you noticed him glaring at you, quickly picking up on his pissed off tone.
"Sleep on the floor then." You muttered.
"This is ridiculous, why are we still arguing?” Steve groaned, not understanding why you were so against sharing a bed with him. You had done it before so why was now such a big deal?
“You’re the one being ridiculous! It’s just somewhere to sleep for a few hours.” You replied getting more agitated each time Steve spoke.
“Guys please…” Robin begged, sensing the tension between you both starting to boil over.
“Oh I’m the one being ridiculous? That's rich...” Steve fired back.
“What the hell is that supposed to mean, Harrington?” You questioned, raising a brow at him, completely forgetting that Robin and Eddie were watching this encounter unfold between you.
“You know exactly what it means, sweetheart.” He challenged and suddenly, you knew he wasn't talking about the sleeping arrangements anymore.
"Ok children, let's just cut the shit shall we? Robin, you and I will take the other room and leave these lovebirds alone to fuck out this sexual tension before we all lose the will to live.” Eddie grinned, grabbing his bags, leading Robin out of the room as she whispered a "sorry" to you.
“Shut the fuck up, Munson.” Steve replied, glaring at the other boy as you took a mental note to murder the metal head at a later time.
"Hey, it's not like I'm saying anything you guys don’t already know. Why don’t you just save us all some time and get it over with huh? We'll meet you in the lobby in an hour.” Eddie replied, closing the door behind him, leaving you all alone with your best friend for the first time in a long time.
“Idiot.” Steve muttered, throwing his car keys on the nightstand, throwing himself on to the bed. "This is just fucking great..." You muttered under your breath, the awkward tension between you already suffocating the room along with the smell of stale cigarette smoke that seemed to be attached to all of the soft furnishings. You could feel Steve's eyes on you while you grabbed your bag and headed for the bathroom, knowing you needed to get away from him and give each other some much needed space after the heated exchange.
"Need to use the bathroom before I get ready?" You questioned, a hand resting on your hip as Steve barely acknowledged you, grabbing the remote to turn on the tv.
"Nope."
"Cool." You whispered, closing the door behind you, quickly turning on the shower so you could finally let out the tears you'd been trying desperately to hold back for so long.
You didn't know how to make things right with Steve. You thought you were protecting your friendship with him by keeping him at a distance until your feelings disappeared, but it seemed all you were really doing was making things much worse between you.

Free as can be~
Ashley sighed into her sleeve for what seemed to be the umpteenth time, causing Andrew to look down from his book he was reading.
"You okay Ash?" He asked, shifting himself to next to his sister.
"Just bored..." Ashley said with a pout, and Andrew rolled his eyes.
"What? You mean living motel to motel on the run from law enforcement, cults, and an organ harvesting firm isn't exciting enough for you, " He said sarcastically as Ashley tossed a pillow at his face.
"Nope," she said, giggling before suddenly her stomach growled.
"You should probably go get something from the vending machine, Ashley." Said Andrew, which cause Ashley to grumble.
"I don't want no stupid cookie again... let's go out to eat! " Said Ashley with enthusiasm rising up and standing on the bed.
"No"
"Wah, oh come on, Andy, I know for a fact you have gotten sick and tired of cookies by now," Ashley argued back.
"What part of 'on the run' did you not understand?" He countered, and Ashley huffed before crossing her arms.
"We're only on the run cause you keep killing people," She said as Andrew breathed deeply, knowing his sister is right and wrong in what she said.
"But that doesn't mean we can't go and eat nice every once and a while" She complained.
"Ashley, it was just last week that I took you to a restaurant, and you almost stuck a fork down our waitresses' throat." Andrew complained as Ashley looked at him with a surprise look.
"That hussy was undressing you with her eyes. You could have gotten sick!" Ashley explained. 'Only I can do that!' Is what she wanted to add as well.
"Yeah, well, what's to say you won't do that at another restaurant, Leyley?" Andrew questioned, and Leyley held a hand over her heart.
"I promise to be on my best behavior...scouts honor"
"You were never a scout, Ashley..." said Andrew as he got up from the bed.
"And for good reason, you'd probably murder the camp counselor if they tried to touch me," She said, and Andrew knew she was right, he probably murder anyone their that tried to take his leyley from him.
"Fuck it, why not we'll go to a Benny's Diner how about that?" Ashley cheered jumping on the bed like she was a child.
"Yes, food! Actual none vending machine food!" She said and Andrew just smiled before tossing a pillow at her head causing her to fall off the bed.
"Get dressed dumbass"
-
Andrew looked out the dinner window as Ashley was eating happily away at her meal.
Across the street from him was a bar, he was assuming it was some sort of biker bar with how many motorcycles there were.
Motorcycles...
Looking at the machines, Andrew minds began to slip into a memory of some simple times.
-
"Wow, Andy, I can't believe you blew some of your college money on this, Mom's going to be pissed," said Ashley as she walked around a nice black motorcycle.
"I make enough to put it back Ashley, sides since when did you care about what mom thinks?" Andrew said as he cleaned off the bike a little.
"I don't, just surprised is all...my big Andy thinks he's so cool now, huh? " Teased Ashley as Andrew sat on the bike, ignoring her.
"Gonna attract all those whores to aren't you? Gonna have them ride along with you, hmm?" Ashley said with a hint of jealousy in her voice.
"That's going to be hard to do with you around," He said to her.
"Wow...tell me how you really feel?"
"Oh, leyley if I did, I'm almost certain I'd be in jail," Andrew teased back causing Ashely to blush and look away, not at all liking how her brother can sometimes...sometimes push her buttons, suddenly the bike road to life as Andrew revved it a couple times.
Enjoying the noise it made.
Ashley shook her head, finding truth in the saying 'boys will be boys' and looking at Andrew's smiling face, butterflies began dancing in her stomach.
"Catch."
Ashley snapped out of her stupor as Andrew tossed a helmet into her direction.
"Wuh?"
"Come on, leyley, it will be just like old times on the bicycle we had remember?" She must have remembered.
Their folks got him a bicycle for his tenth birthday. Ashley didn't get a bicycle, just coloring books, so on her birthday, he stole pegs off the other kids' bike and attached it to his bike so that Ashley could always ride with him.
It was the best gift Ashley got on that day, being able to ride free with her big brother and it was a great gift for them both as It was one of the rare instances in their childhood where they could just enjoy being kids.
Andrew never forgot the big smile Ashley had that day of being able to ride on a motorcycle with him.
-
Andrew sighed, which caused Ashley to stop her rampant chewing, looking at Andrew. Ashley reached over with her fork and poked him.
"What's wrong, Andy?" She said with a mouthful, and Andrew bonked her on the head.
"I didn't need to see your mouthful," He said to her. Ashley giggled before swallowing.
"I'm sure you love seeing me swallow something else" She wiggled her eyebrows at him and Andrew almost snorted out his coffee he was drinking.
"Still...what is on your mind?" She asked, setting her fork down and taking a sip of her soda.
"Just reminiscent, I guess..." He confessed to her as he returned his gaze back to her.
"Ooh are you reminiscing about my fat fucking tits again?" this time Andrew choked on his coffee and began coughing and blushing as Ashley laughed causing the other occupants to look at the pair strangely.
Andrew tossed a piece of toast at his sister's head.
"Hey! That's perfectly good toast!"
-
The pair had finished their food without a hitch, and they swiftly left the diner after paying.
Now, it was time for a short walk back to the motel.
They proceeded past the bar where the group of bikers were, and as they proceeded to walk on by one biker in particular decided to try his luck.
"Hey sweetie, why don't you come over here and get the ride of a lifetime?" He said to her. Ashley just ignored him, giving him the middle finger, but Andrew, on the other hand, was silently fuming at how these bikers were looking and leering at his leyley...
"Lookie that boys, she's a real fiesty one, huh?" The leader said, earning a laugh from the rest of the gang. Andrew clenched his fist and gritted his teeth, Ashley sensing this took his arm and hugged it as they both walked past the biker.
"Hey, when you're done with the stooge, I'll ne waiting for you, Lil lady," said the leader as they Andrew and Ashley both rounded a corner out of sight.
-
Nothing was said as they made their way back to their motel, Ashley was a bit worried at seeing Andrew upset, but also...kinda liked how possessive he was.
Giving out a yawn, the food now giving her the sleepies.
"Get some rest, Ashley," Andrew said as he walked over and put a blanket over her.
"You...coming too...bed too?" She said, trying to stay awake, and Andrew just chuckled.
"After I clean up some stuff around the room, not really tired yet," He told her as Ashley violet eyes drooped more and more.
"Mmkay...love you," She said before finally she was out like a light.
"..." Andrew bent down before placing a kiss on her forehead as he looked at her calm expression.
He sat back down on the couch and waited a good whole hour to make sure Ashley was still asleep as he suddenly sat up from his couch, went into the kitchen, and procured his cleaver. Grabbing his jacket and stuffing the cleaver in his back pants pocket, he opened the door before stepping out into the darkness, giving one last look at Ashley before quietly closing the door.
-
"Man, did you see the tits on the dark-haired girl...what I would do that woman," said the sleazy biker as all his friends laughed and cheered him on.
"Alright, gang, I'm heading out. Don't cause too much of a ruckus," laughed the leader as he started his bike, the exhaust garbling loudly as the group cheered and said their goodbyes.
The biker drove for what was about five minutes when, out of the corner of his eye, he saw that same dude that was with that beautiful woman earlier leaving the diner.
That man was Andrew, and he was leaning against the wall next to a dark alley smoking a cigarette.
Pulling over to the curb, shutting off his bike and pocketing his keys in his black stained vest, he leaned on the same wall right next to Andrew.
"Hey buddy, so tell me, how's that hot piece of ass been treating you?" He asked Andrew said nothing as he smoked his cigarette.
"I'm sure she's a real freak in bed to ain't she" It took all of Andrew will power not to grab the man's throat and tear it out.
"Hey, I have an idea... Why not let me have a crack at her? I'll pay you for it, hmm?" He asked, and Andrew was inches away from slicing his throat.
"How much are you paying?" Andrew asked, hating himself for saying those words, but if everything worked out, then he would do what he needed to do.
"For a glorious pieace of ass like that, all the money that's in my pocket which is..." The man patted himself from pants pockets to vest pockets before finally procuring money.
"$777.77" He told him with a sick grin on his face, Andrew looked at the money as he looked like he was considering the offer.
"Let's talk about this more... discreetly," He said, making a motion to the dark alley as the sleazy biker grinned, thinking he was going to get his dick wet tonight.
Walking like he won the lottery, he entered into the alleyway, Andrew not too far behind as his green eyes glared balefully at him as he reached behind and grabbed his cleaver.
"Alright, let's dis -" he was cut off real quick as sharp steal found itself ingrained into his face, the biker could only gargle as Andrew gripped at the cleaver hard and ripped it from his face.
"As if someone like you will ever touch my leyley... see you in hell, " He said as he began relentlessly hitting the man's head with the cleaver over and over.
Andrew, finally out of his rage, looked at his work. He sighed, another body to his name. This one, though, was like that warden...another sleaze and one that he was happy to kill.
But now it was time to clean up. Luckily, he brought some gloves.
It took him less than a half hour to chop away at the body before throwing it into the dumpster.
Finally, it was time to just throw the clothes out, too, as he grabbed the bikers' vest, a key fell out and onto the floor. Inspecting it, he took a look at the end of the entrance of the alley to see the dead bikers motorcycle.
Andrew smiled.
-
Ashley awoke to the sound of the TV playing in the background. She looked at the time on the alarm clock.
10:00pm.
"Andrew?"
Silence.
Looking around the room, She called out again.
"Andrew!"
Nothing.
Panic began to set in as a million thoughts went through her head.
'Was he taken?'
'Was he killed?'
'Did some floozy seduce him?'
'Did he....leave me?'
And before she could answer any of those questions, she heard the loud rumbling a bike make its way into the parking lot of the motel as she suddenly realized that Andrew went out to go fight that biker for how he talked to her.
While she would be swooning over the fact that her Andy was fighting for her honor, she had realized that Andrew was one man, and he couldn't just take on a small gaggle of bikers and if one was here that meant...
"No! Don't think such thoughts... just go and interrogate this stupid biker and find out where your Andy is, " She said to herself, going under her bed, pulling out her revolver. She stormed the front door, ripping it open and aimed the gun at the biker.
"You better tell me where my fucking Andy is you bastard!" She shouted as the biker quickly held his hands up.
"Ashley what the fuck!?" Came the voice inside the helmet, Ashley was so close to pulling the trigger and blowing this fuckers brains out when suddenly the man took the helmet off revealing.
"Waaaaah Annnndy!?" said Ashley as she tossed the gun back inside before running up to him as Andrew caught her in a hug and spun her around.
"I'm not going to ask what the whole gun thing was," Andrew said to her as Ashley nuzzled her face into his chest, relishing I'm his warmth.
"I...I thought I lost you to those stupid bikers," Ashley mumbled, and Andrew shook his head.
"No, leyley, I wouldn't dare leave you." He told her in earnest as he suddenly stepped to the side.
"So... like it?" He asked her, and she looked at the bike and then back to him.
"How did you get this?" She asked, eyeing him suspiciously, and Andrew just whistled but was slapped on the shoulder.
"What it was Free nighty nine!" He said with a serious face, and Ashley just looked at him with an expression that said 'really?'.
"Okay, it was a generous donation," He said to her, putting a hand on his heart when he said that.
"Did you kill that man?" Ashley asked.
Andrew remained silent.
"Annnnnndyyyyy"
"Whaaaat! Since when were you the moral compass!" Complained Andrew much to Ashley's joy.
"I'm not, now you know how I feel when I have to deal with you"
"Oh go fuck yourself"
"Come fuck me yourself coward!"
Andrew just sputtered and blushed, not wanting to continue.
Ashley looked over the bike before sitting down on it.
"Very nice, hey, this reminds me of your old bike you had before our folks sold it off!" She told him as she started to reminisce about all the places Andrew had taken her to.
Andrew let her talk as he went behind her and pulled out another helmet.
"Hey Ash"
"Hmm?"
"Catch!"
Ashley caught the helmet and looked at Andrew who just smiled.
"What do you say, leyley? Shall we ride again like old times?"
Ashley smile was very bright even in the dark of night.
Starting up the bike, Ashely sat behind Andrew before straping on the helmet. She wrapped her arms around Andrew's chest.
Carefully and slowly, they both drove around the parking lot before Andrew finally decided to go onto the main road. Looking behind him, Ashley nodded to him, ready to go.
Putting throttle, the bike glided smoothly on the open pavement as the exhaust reverberated off the city walls.
Ashley laughed in happiness as she felt nostalgia and warmth over take her while also enjoying the freedom and closeness with the man she loved.
Andrew was content, regardless of his situation. As long as his Leyley was happy, nothing else mattered.
The two sailed into the darkness, free as can be.

midge and lenny on a secret weekend getaway when joel and mei (who don’t know about their relationship) show up at the same hotel (motel? b&b?)
Some days Midge's life feels like a joke she didn't write.
This is one of those days.
They'd snuck out of town for the weekend, leaving the kids with her parents to have a few romantic days away. They'd found a little inn on the Hudson River Valley. It's beautiful, and romantic, and quiet.
Which they both need, after Lenny's appeal and her tour. Quiet just sounds.
Perfect.
Or it would be perfect, if Joel hadn't just walked into the lobby as Lenny is chatting with the innkeeper while they get checked in. Mei is behind him, carrying her train case, looking around.
"Wow. This place is great."
Joel doesn't respond. He's too busy staring at Midge.
"Joel?"
"Midge," Joel responds to Mei's query.
Mei looks past him and freezes. "Oh. Midge. Hi, Midge. This is weird."
Midge nods slowly.
"Hey," Lenny says, turning to her. "We got two keys and they put little cookies on the pillows. I was tempted to ask if they would replace the cookies with condo-"
"Joel is here."
Lenny frowns. "Joel? Your ex Joel?"
Midge gestures, and Lenny looks and blinks.
"Ah. Joel. Hello."
"Outside," Joel grouses at Midge. "Now."
"She's good where she is," Lenny tells him. "Anyways, I was tempted to make this joke-"
"Midge-"
"Joel, come on," Mei tries. "She's obviously here with someone."
"Yes, she is, a someone who she really should not be here with," Joel counters. "Since when you are wo an item?"
Lenny counts on his hand and Midge nudges him.
"Lenny. Joel, we're going up to our room now," Midge says.
"Where are the kids?" Joel asks.
"With my parents," Midge says. "They're fine, they're at home, Mama isn't working this weekend."
"I thought you had the kids."
"Well, Lenny won his appeal, so we decided to celebrate a little," Midge says.
"Congratulate me, I am a free man," Lenny jokes.
"Appeal?" Mei asks. "Wait...Ooooohhhhhhhhh. That Lenny."
"Yes," Joel snaps. "That Lenny."
"We're going up to our room," Midge tries again. "You guys have a really nice time, and so will we."
"A very nice time," Lenny adds as Midge grabs her own suitcase and starts up the stairs. "Really, very nice."
He follows her quickly with his own. "So Joel's upset."
"Yes, he is, and I don't want to deal with it right now."
"Well, he's here, so you may have to sooner rather than later," Lenny tells her. "Why is he the last to know about us, by the way?"
"Because he gets angry about things," Midge explains as she opens their door. "And I just...wasn't ready to handle the anger."
Lenny nods. "I can talk to him."
Midge blinks at him.
he shrugs. "I could. You know. We could have a very manly chat about...sports. The news. Why he has no say over whom you spend your time with..."
Midge kisses his cheek before walking into the room. "It's sweet of you to offer, but he'd probably try to punch you."
"Oh he's that type of guy," Lenny muses as he follows her. "Hit first ask questions later."
Midge shrugs. "When it comes to other guys, yeah."
He nods and sets their suitcases down, looking around. "The room is nice. The cookies look fresh."
She sighs and sits down on the bed. "I should talk to him. But I just want to stay here with you."
Lenny sits next to her, taking her hand, squeezing it gently. "Three weeks of touring, and sitting in on my appeal, we agreed that you've earned a little quiet time. So why don't we relax for a little while. We'll go downstairs when we get hungry, and we'll deal with your angry ex whenever is convenient. And until then, he'll just have to deal with it."
Midge smiles and rests her head on his shoulder. "That is a great plan."
He kisses the top of her head.

After Duskwood - Chapter 26
First| Last| Next
I wake up and he's still driving. The clock says 2am, he sees me stir as I adjust the seat to sit up "how much longer?" I ask.
"Not much longer, do you want to message Jessica and see if we can sleep there until morning?" He asks.
I grab my phone and open the chat to Jessy.
MC: hey you awake
Nothing. "Ugh I think she's sleeping but I see Dan online" I say.
"Nope we will find somewhere so you can get comfy sleep" he says.
"Why because you know he's gonna blame you for my back?" I say.
"Yeah hell he'll blame me for not having a spot for you" he says.
"Yeah but it's better than sleeping in the car" I say.
"Fine, only because I can't evade you." he says.
I lean over as he's driving and kiss his cheek with a smile on my face. I feel Jakes hand on my thigh as I open my messages to Dan.
Mc: hey you awake?
Dan: yeah why are you awake?
MC: Jake is driving and can't sleep but got a favor.
Dan: oh no
MC: it's not bad were just about to duskwood and the motel is closed and wondering if Jake and I can stay until morning so I have somewhere comfy to sleep.
Dan: sure but no funny business.
MC: You're the best and please don't blame Jake okay?
Dan: what happened?
MC: I'll explain there we're about to pull into Duskwood soon.
We pull in front of Dans and Jake grabs the 2 bookbags and his laptop bag. Dan opens the door as we ring the doorbell and he hugs me tight and I flinch in pain. "What the hell MC?" Says Dan.
"I told you this was a bad idea" says Jake
"Better than the car" I say to Jake. "I'll explain inside Dan."
"You better not have hurt her," says Dan.
I push past him holding Jakes hand "no he didn't" I say with a sigh.  This really was a bad idea I say to myself.
"Then tell me what happened" says Dan
"Someone from Jake's past before I came in and he was a freeman found us and took me and beat me. Jake rescued me but this is my back" I say turning my back to him and he sees it.
"That's not horrible" says Dan.
"That's because I've already gone to the hospital and someone else came in and helped get the blood from the black and blues out" I say. "We had to leave, hence why I texted you in the middle of the night. I can't sleep in the car like this so I really just needed a couch until we can get to the motel in the morning" I say.
"Okay I can do that" he says.
Jake looks at the time to keep a watch on my medicine. He pulls me close "get some sleep I'll wake you up when you need meds. Need me to put that cream on your back?" He says.
"No, I'm feeling better just after that  drive and Dan's tight hug I'm tender again" I say. I grab a pair of shorts and an oversize shirt and head to the bathroom to get changed. I come back and I hear Jake and Dan talking.
"Look the only reason I'm here is because of her. If I had it my way I would have slept in the car. I know her back right now can't handle it" says Jake.
"Look I know we don't always see eye to eye and you're pissed that when we were looking for Hannah I asked MC out but I see how she looks at you. I just don't wanna see her get hurt, that is all. And seeing her in physical pain because of your past isn't something I can accept because what's gonna stop him from coming back?" Says Dan.
"He's dead and honestly after a few days here, when I can make sure she can handle that plane ride back home that's where she's going. Even if I don't join her to finish what I've started" says Jake.
"You know she won't leave you right? I don't know why but you are her weakness and she won't let you go. There are blankets over in that corner and pillows too." Says Dan as he comes out of the living room and sees me but doesnt say anything.
I walk back into living room and sit on the couch. Jake comes up to me and sits next to me. "you okay" he asks as he sees the look on my face.
"Yeah just tired" I say as I lay down away from him.
He gets up and grabs me a blanket and pillow. Handing me the pillow and putting the blanket over me gently as he kisses my forehead and sits on the floor in front of me.
I wake up to the sun coming in the front window and I see Jake on his laptop. "What are you doing?" I ask wrapping my arm around his neck.
"Taking care of some things. I think I found us the perfect apartment" he says showing me the pictures.
"Wow it is but i think that might be out of our budget" I say. I realize we hadn't talked about money before.
"I have more than enough in the bank account I got back from the FBI to buy it with no payments" he says.
"Wait, that isn't a rental?" I asked super shocked.
"Nope I want something that is ours until we sell it" he says kissing my hand.
"Jake, I need to confess something," I say.
"What is it?"
" I heard what you said to Dan last night about sending me back home and you staying. He's right I won't let that happen" I say.
"I know after you fell asleep I realized that which is why I want to stay in Duskwood until I clean up that mess from Nate '' he says.
"I guess we should find ourselves a little apartment then for now" I say with a smile as I move and wince in pain.
Jake looks at the time "its 30 mins early want your meds?" He asks.
"Please sleeping on a couch maybe not the best idea" I say with a little laugh.
"How do you manage to smile and laugh even in pain?" He asks as he reaches for his bag that has the medicine.
"Honestly I don't know. I've always been that way" I say as I grab the medicine and go into the kitchen to get some water.
Jake follows me in "really even through everything with your exs?" He ask.
I look at him "yes and no some of them brought out a darkside of me" I say.
"Did the last one?" He asks.
"No because when things started getting really dark in my life you entered it" I say with a smile. I feel him come up behind me and wraps his arms around me pulling me gently against him to be safe with my back.
"Seriously you two?" Says Dan.
"Sorry, I woke up sore and it was time for my medicine so I needed some water" I say, blushing as Jake is still holding me.
"You could have made coffee" he says looking at Jake.
Jake just rolls his eyes as he goes and starts making coffee "MC come follow me" says Dan as he heads to the living room.
I follow him out "What Dan?" I ask sitting down as I wait for pain to dull.
"I know why he's with you. You're out of his league and totally in love with him so he's not gonna let you go but what do you see in him" he asks.
"It's the little moments. The feeling of home no matter where I am with him. The way he looks at me even when I look like total shit. I feel like I've known him my whole life Dan. Like every bad relationship, every failed relationship, every time I got stood up was meant to lead me into his arms. We might have come from different worlds and raisings but we're perfect for eachother." I say
"What do you mean different worlds?" He asks.
"I was raised a city girl,Dan. My parents have money. I'm a total daddies girl, all I have to do is give my dad a look and I get what I want minus when it comes to guys he's always been protective. However once he saw how I feel about Jake and my mom even saw it his heart melted." I say.
"I just don't want to see you end up like Jessy losing him and losing yourself" he says.
"Dan you will meet someone who will make you understand this saying. There's a person who will enter your life and spin your tables completely around that your world and their world just mix and you become so in love with the person you are with them that you can't imagine losing them because its losing a piece of your heart" I say as I grab his hand.
"What if I have and I messed it up?" He asks.
"Then she wasn't the one that was meant for that says" I say as Jake enters the room.
"What are you two talking about?" Jake asks.
"None of your business" says Dan.
"Finding the one you're meant for" I say as Dan glaring at me "what he knows how I feel Dan" glaring back at him.
"Yeah but we all know I wont find it" he says.
Jake looks at me and I realize he needs to say something just the two of them "I'm gonna go get some much needed coffee" I say as I get up and walk into the kitchen. I stand there listening for a while and I don't hear anything. Then i hear Jake
"Look man, you will find yourself that love when your not looking for it. Guys like us don't get through life easy we fight and swing all the way through. Eventually you'll swing at that person and instead of them swinging back or running away they run into you wrapping their arms around you." Says Jake.
"Guys like us aren't meant to find that" says Dan.
"I use to believe that until MC entered my life. I swang and pushed her away. Shit, I even ran away trying to fight it but she's all I could think about. All that kept me sane during those times of uncertainty. You don't know this about me but I ran away from everything I knew. I ran into someone who told me they would keep me safe from the FBI and I took it. However, I didn't realize the price it was gonna come with. My mission to find Hannah almost got me caught because he found out and stopped protecting me. I lied to him and told him I had stopped that I had cut off all contact with all of you including MC but I didn't. Instead there was a night I ran away from that protection and ended up not far from here. Which is why I was able to get to the mine so fast. So when MC told me the FBI was there and definitely not for Hannah I knew who sent them. So I had a grudge but I wanted to be free for her. So when we had to come back and he located me I wanted to kill him then and there but I couldn't with MC only being feet from me hiding in the bathroom. Instead he took her and I took his life and burned the place to the ground. What I'm trying to say is you will find that girl worth it… worth the constant swinging because once she holds you everything will just disappear" says Jake.
I'm leaning against the counter and Dan's mom comes in and she sees tears in my eyes "everything okay sweetie?" She asks.
"Yeah I just overheard the guys and it melted my heart" I say as I go to grab some coffee. "would you like a cup?" I ask remembering how dan said she has a hard time moving.
"Yes please and thank you. Also I know I heard everything even that you said. All I want is for Dan to find that love but he's stubborn" she says.
"That he is but also protective when he loves someone. I just hope that girl comes sooner than later for him" I say, pouring us both coffee.
Jake and Dan come into the kitchen "MC we should get going" says Jake.
"Can I drink my coffee first please?" I say taking a sip.
He looks at me and sees how tired I am from the last few days and pulls a seat out for me to sit in. Realizing he hasn't been taking care of me like he promised my dad.
"MC, you look beyond exhausted" says Dan.
"I didn't sleep good on the couch last night." I say looking at my cup of coffee as I drink it.
"You could of said something" he says.
"No I wasn't gonna do that to you. When Jake and I get  motel I'll get some sleep" I say as I flinch from leaning back into the chair as the meds haven't kicked in yet. I finish my coffee "okay let's go I really need some sleep" I say looking at Jake.
He grabs my hand and pulls me up gently as head out he grabs the bags we brough inside. I get into the passenger seat and lay on my side. "I need to check your back you seem to be in a lot of pain this morning" says Jake. I turn my back towards him and he pulls up the shirt and looks. "The bruising hasn't come back. I'm going to touch your back you tell me where it hurts"
I feel his hand over my back gently at first  which starts putting me to sleep then he puts a little more pressure and I cry out in pain "I feel like something is broken" I say as I hunch over with tears in my eyes.
"Lets get it checked" he says as he starts the car and instead of going to the motel he hands to urgent care.
Were waiting in the waiting room and they call me back. They stop Jake until I tell them I want him. They run an xray on my back and find some new things. We explain to them what happened and the doctor asks what meds they put me on.
Jake pulls the bottle out of his bag and shows it "they gave you medicine that is fake" says the doctor .
"What!?" I yell "your saying ive been in pain and those meds haven't been helping?"
"No sadly we will get you some new ones to help you cause there is definitely bruising internally so just ice, rest, and take the meds every 6 hours" says the doctor.
I break down in tears as he leaves. Jake comes up and holds me close but gently "I'm so sorry MC this is all my fault" he says.
"No I shouldn't have came out from the bathroom but I was afraid he was gonna take you or worse" I say as tears run down my face, wiping them away. He hands me my clothes so I can get dressed out of the gown while we wait to be discharged.
Once discharged we go to pick up the new meds and head to the motel.

PROMISES, PROMISES pt.4
TRICK OR TREAT" I yelled to the small boy who opened the door. he looked to be the same age as me but he was super skinny and small. he eyed my outfit before looked at me like I was crazy and unstable. "it's november 15th" he said in a due tone. I sighed. I knew this was a stupid idea but my mom insist we go tricking or treating now since we missed it in october. "I know but I wasn't able to go in october because we needed to move so I'm going now." he still looked at me like I was crazy. sighing in defeat I turned to walk back to my apartment. I just moved in a week ago after my mom lost her job in Metropolis. gothem didn't have lot of jobs but the rent was cheap so win win or atleast that's what my mom said
."I think I have a lollipop do you want that?" the small boy asked. I nodded "I'll take it." I smilled opening my bag for the lollipop. he was gone for longer than expected before coming back with a pillow case. "you're in luck. I still had candy from halloween" he held it up like one of those fisher man who caught a big fish. his face slowly turned red. "do-- do you want to share it with me?" he asked I smiled nodding my head "yes please." he gave me a shy smile as he stepped into the hall closing the door to his aprtment behind him. "um we can sit here." he said sitting down in front of his door.
sitting down next to him I watched as he emptied the pillow case onto the floor. it wasn't a lot of candy but it was somthing. "what's your name?" I asked taking a bite size snickers. "jason. and yours?" he asked. I quickly swallowed the candy and said. "y/n and I just moved into that apartment last week." I said pointing to the apartment door. "what are you dressed as?' he asked eyeing my outfit "a fairy. you probably couldn't tell because I lost my wings when we were moving." moving sucked and I hated it.
"what did you go as on halloween?" I asked stuffing my mouth with chocolate and skittles "I went as dash from the incredibles." I laughed, imagining him in tights. I sighed "I bet you got loads of candy." he shrugged "not really. gothem is not really a place for trick or treating." he sighed "this is all the candy I got from halloween. I was trying to save it for as long as I could." I fell bad now. "oh." I put the pack of skittles I had back. "I'm sorry." he rolled his eyes "it was stupid. the candy would have gotten old and stale anyways so--" he shoved the candy back into my hand. "eat up." "you know what this means right?" I asked he looked at me confused waiting for me to continue "it mean we're bestfriends now." I said grabbed his hand to hold. "bestfriends?" I nodded. "you can never get rid of me for now on." we laughed before popping more candy into our mouths.""
----
I hated waking up. the reminder that jason was missing and I was living in a dirty motel was soul crushing. it's been four days since our run in with batman and he has not been home since. I've been looking for him non-stop but I knew deep down that batman probably got to him but that didn't stop me from searching for him, just incase. but I was starting to get discourage so I did somthing I am not proud of and will never do again. I went to the police. "No. you're not understanding me. my friend was kidnapped by batman and I need help getting him back." I argued with the police women in front of me. she wasn't listening to me, she just continued to play a game on her computer. "go away kid" she said rolling her eyes. "you're suspose to be helping me. why won't you help me?" "go away!" she yelled throwing a pen at me. "fine! you won't help me, then I'll get someone else to" I groaned stomping out of the police station.
ok now for this next part, don't judge me ok. I'm desperate.
if it there was one thing for certain it is that this club was not a place for children. there was half naked women and dirty old man dancing, drinking and doing drugs. I figured in a place like this someone had to know something about batman. right? it was honestly surprising how far I got into the club without being noticed or kicked out. in fact I made it to a private room that over looked the club. thankfully there was no one in the room. the room looks amazing decorated with art and jewels in glass cases that I would never be able to afford. well in this life time at least. but that wasn't what I was after. I was after information.
I ran to the desk. throwing open the drawer looking for anything with batman on it. "what are you looking for kitten." I jumped back from the desk not expecting anyone to be in here. I didn't even hear the door open; but there stood a tall, curvy woman whoes face was covered by a mask with Cat ear? "um, nothing." I lied quickly pulling my hands out of the drawer and hiding them behind me back. the women eyed me up and down, studying me. "don't lie kitten, tell me the truth and maybe I could help you." I laughed. "I'm not stupid woman. no one in gothem helps a stranger without wanting something, so what do you want?" she walked over to one of the glass case, chuckling as she went. "you see this ring? I need it."
"ok... than get it." I said in a duh tone. she rolled her eyes at me. "I can't, not right now at least. I'm going to need help." her eyes stayed on the ring with the huge diamond in the middle of it, like eater egg big. it was almost like she was in a trance. "I could help you get the ring, but I need help also." she fold her arms in front of herself as she leaned on the wall. "what does a little kitten like you, need help with?" she asked "you're catwoman, right? it's rumored that you and batman have a thing going on." her face was stoic as she shrugged "the point kitten, get to it."
"I need to speak with him. he um, has a friend of mines" I explained. she hummed, glancing at the ring once more. "I work here, in the club. when the ring goes missing the first thing they're going to do is search the girls--" "then why can't you steal it as catwomen on a day you're not working?" I asked she rolled her eyes. "I have a reputation of stealing things I'm sure you know; and the people that ownes the club has some very powerful allies, allies that I do not want to get on the bad side of" she shrugged "at least not right now."
"so you want me to steal for you. ok I'll do it. I'll steal it on a day where you're not working and catwoman is to busy stealing something else; and in return you get me a face to face meeting with batman." she smirked "you're a smart cookie" she held out her hand. "let's shake on it." I walked the short distance to stand in front of her and shook her hand. "deal." we pulled our hands apart.
--
I had no idea how I was going to steal this ring. catwoman and I have been come close over the last few weeks. she was teaching me all the ins and out of club, red room and what I'd need to do in order to actually pull this off and to be honest I don't think I can. so as it turns out it wasn't luck that got me to that office, it was catwoman. she knocked out the guards and the surveillance camera, making it easy for me to slip in.
now I need to do everything she did and then some if I'm going to make it out with the diamond. "are you sure you can't just go in and knock out the cameras for me." catwoman and I sat in my small motel room going over the plans for tonight. "the whole point of this is so I'm nowhere near the club when you still the ring. if you're having doubts--" "NO!... I mean no. I can do this. I'm just nervous" she smiled. "I've got you something." she pulled out a small mask and threw it to me. it was all black with little cat ears on it. "Really, for me?" she nodded "incase you mess up with the cameras" she said shrugging her shoulders, like this wasn't a big deal but her small smile gave it away. "but wouldn't it defeat the purpose of separating you from all of this if I wear your logo" her face fell. "I guess you're right. but keep it anyways, for next time" I smiled "next time?" she nodded pushing the mask closer to me. "next time."
--
catwoman and I started getting close when she showed up in my motel the day after we met. it was weird waking up to the smell of bacon and eggs. at first I thought it as a weird murderer who made it's victims breakfast before killing them. but when I turned over there stood catwoman, dressed in her cat suit. "what are you doing here?" I asked slowly sitting up. she didn't even flinch when I spoke, just grabbed a plate off the counter and handed it to me. "eat up we have lots to do" I looked down at the food, then back up at her. "do you realise how creepy this is?" I asked putting the plate on the bed. she rolled her eyes, putting the fork and knife down next to my plate. "I work all week only day off is next saturday. if we're going to pull this off you'll need to learn how to get in and out without being noticed." I groaned "I'm tired" I layed down on the bed, pulling the covers over my eyes. but she wasn't having it.
she pulled the covers away from me. "if I'm wasting my time with you tell me now. if the deal is over I would love to know." I sighed sitting up. "the deal isn't over. I'll learn." she smiled. "first eat." I rolled my eyes but dug into my food. "it's good." I said with a mouth full of food. "you have nothing to eat in this whole motel." I swallowed my food. "I do." she scoffed "yeah ramen and cereal. your milk went bad I had to throw it out."
"thank you for the food." I haven't been food shopping in a few days. I've been to busy looking for jason. "no problem kitten. hurry up and eat, we have a lot to do."
--
everyday I'd wake up with catwoman in my kitchen, making me breakfast. then we'd spend the whole day going over the plans. surprisingly it was super fun and going over plans, learning how to use her nails to cut glass. it was all fun and it made it a little less nerve-wracking. "remember, get the ring and get out. don't stop for anything." cat sighed. she was nervous about tonight and who's to blame her. she putting a lot of trust into me and I don't want to let her down. if I let her down I'd let jason down. "once you get out of there go to 5th street. there I'll give you you're next instructions" I nodded "and where will you be." she smirked turning back to the blue prints. "it's time. good luck kitten."
"you too catwoman"
--
the club was more intimidating than it was the first time. it felt bigger and darker, scarier but I had a job to do and I was determined to get it done.
heading towords the back of the building cat said there would be a door leading to a locker room. that is going to be my way inside the club. it was there but so was two large security guard. "hello" I said giving them my sweetest smile. "go away kid." the man on the left said. he was tall, bald and buff. "I need to get inside." the one on the right sighed he looked annoyed and stressed "kid please go away." I sighed
"you don't understand my mom is in there, she's working, and my dad wants me to get her and bring her home." they looked at each other, having a silent conversation. the one of the right asked "is your mom melody?" I nodded. if it was one thing cat taught me, it was to always be confident in my answer. "yes!" I said. "we should let her through. the last time melody's boyfriend didn't have her home when he wanted, he shot up to club, and I do not want to stay late again."
"that sounds like papa" I said they rolled they're eyes as they opened the door. "don't take long kid and don't get caught." I nodded walking in the locker room. it was surprisingly lit up and it looked nice. huge vanity mirrors on the wall with twenty plus director's chairs infront of it.
there was only a two girls in the room, doing there make-up and getting dressed. I walked, well more like ran out of there into the actual club. it was dark and smelly filled with drunk adults of all ages dancing and doing drugs. why do adults like this? it's weird and toxic
just like last time I was able to make through the sea of adults without being stopped. gothem is not a safe place for kids. instead of going straight to the office like I did last time, I had to go through the ceiling this time.
NO'S POV:
you had a lot on your mind right now. climb the stairs to the fifth floor, get to the girls bathroom, climb into the ceiling. take a right, left go staight until you reach the dead end. below you is the office. but it wasn't that easy. as soon as you stepped foot into the bathroom the plan started going down hill. you were frozen in fear looking up at THE Harley Quinn touching up her make-up in the mirror. she didn't notice you yet which you were very lucky for because she did not seem to be in a good mood. she angrily patted her cheek with a napkin trying to cover up a bruise that almost covered half her cheek. "stupid harley, you never learn do yah. you just always have to make him mad."
"It's not my fault! he's the one who forgot our anniversary! we got all dressed up and even made him dinner but nooo. he wanted to come to this stupid club!" she replied to herself. "Don't talk about him that way!" she yelled pointing a finger at the mirror "and this club isn't stupid, it's a nice place for an anniversary." you could tell by her voice that she didn't believe it. she opened her mouth to reply when her eyes landed on you through the mirror. "who are you?" she asked turning around to face you. "Um. MR. J wanted me to tell you to hurry up. he, um. misses you" you lied. her eyes widen. if this was a cartoon she'd have heart eyes. "I'M COMING MR. J!" she yelled running out of the bathroom.
once you were alone you went to the first stall, climbing onto the toilet. reaching into your back pocket, you pulled out a black mask. not the one cat gave to you but a different one. you were about to put it on when something caught your eye. Harley left her bat. it was too great of an opportunity to pass up. you said to yourself as you ran over and grabbed the bat, it was heavy and it took a while for you to get it into the ceiling but eventually you got it. now your turn. it took a lot of upper body strength (that you didn't know you had) to get up there but you managed. you put on the mask and started crawling forword when you remembered something.
'put the tile back once you get in. don't leave any evidence of you being there.' cat's voice reminded you. groaning you kick the tile back into place and now being one step closer to the ring. you couldn't wait to tell jason about tonight. he's going to be so jealous.
left, right, straight, dead end. peeling back the tile, right under me was the case with the ring. excitement course through your body at the thought of taking the ring. you never felt so excited taking something before. when you'd strip cars with jason it was usually jason doing all the work and you just being the look out; but now you were in the driver's seat and you didn't mind it at all.
now all you had to do was drop down pull out the Freddy Krueger nails Cat gave you. (you called then that because they were long, sharp nails that she used to get through the glass without setting off the alarm.) cut the glass, get the ring and get out of here. the room was empty which made it a thousand times easier, or it should have atleast.
maybe there was a reason jason was in charge of the stealing part. as soon as you dropped the bat down into the room, you knew you fucked up, watching in slow motion as the bat fell and smashed the glass case into pieces.
The room turned red as a loud alarm came on. "INTRUDER ALERT, INTRUDER ALERT" it yelled. "someone's in the bosses office." a voice said from the other side of the door. "fuck" you said jumping down from the ceiling, almost impaling yourself on the broken glass. you sifted through the broken pieces of glass looking to the ring, while also not trying to get cut.
"WHO'S IN THERE" a man yelled. there was a pounding on the door like a body was being thrown against it. "go get the boss. now!" you heard footsteps fade away but the pounding on the door continues. "you better hope boss is in a good mood tonight or you're as good as dead." 'where the hell was this ring.' you thought. you were about to give up and just run out of there when something shiny caught your eyes. the ring! you grabbed it quickly putting it in your pocket.
now how the hell were you going to get out of here. the glass case was too smashed to use it to get back into the ceiling so you had go to plan B. improvise. you ran over the the window that lead to the fire escape. you tried opening it but it did not budge, even through there was no lock on the window.
'the windows in that place doesn't open, so you won't be able to get in or out through there.' Cat said one afternoon when you were having lunch and going over plans. 'we'll see' you thought going back over to the smashed case where you left harley's bat. picking it up before running back to the window. it took one swing and the window was smashed. "thank you harley"
you quickly climb onto the fire escape. "they're going through the window!" the gaurd outside the room said "mark and james are already down they're ready to cut them off." you glanced down, and sure enough there stood two huge men in black suits. so down wasn't an option. up it is.
people in the movies made running up the fire escape look so easy, but in reality it was exhausting. when you finally made it to the roof you were out of breath. "ok. what now?" you asked glancing around the roof for a away down. 'this is a stupid idea' you thought as you started noticing how close the buildings where to each other.
"this is stupid" you said as you started running towords the edge.
"THIS IS STUPID!" you yelled as you jumped off the roof, soaring through the sky before landing hard on the opposite roof. "oof" was the only noise you made as you knocked the wind out of yourself
all you wanted to do was stay there on the roof looking up at the starless sky but you couldn't, you had to meet cat. you groaned as you peeled your body away from the roof. "you owe me big time jason."
--
5th street was deserted and dark. no one was on the street not even catwoman. this was suspose to be the meet up location but cat wasn't here. 'maybe she was late or got held up. or maybe batman took her away like he did jay. if he did he's going to be in a world of hurt if I every get my hands on---' you were pulled out of your thought when a phone you didn't notice until now started ringing.
you slowly walked towords it picking it up off the trash can it laid on. "you made it!" cat's voice answered through the phone. she sounded more out of breath than you did which you thought was impossible. "you sound surprise" she laughed "you have the ring?"
"yeah. now, where are you?" you asked. "look up, kitten." you could barely make out the black shadow on top of the museum across the street. "batman should be here soon, come up and meet him. the front door is open."she said before she hung up the phone, walking away from the edge. you threw the phone behind you, not caring where it ended up.
walking through the museum was the easiest part of your night. "I'm proud of you kitten." you jumped at the sudden sound of cat's voice. "don't scary me like that!" you yelled she laughed "it's gothem kitten, you need to learn how to grow eyes in the back of your head." you sighed "here's your ring" you said throwing her the ring that she easily caught"you did good kitten. real good." she put it in her pocket. "aren't you going to inspect it?" you asked she didn't answer instead she walked closer to you.
she gently cupped your face into her gloved hands. "oh kitten. you're all beaten up." she pushed a piece of your hair away from your face. you sighed leaning into her warm hand "I kind of messed up--" she shrugged "were you caught?" you shook your head no. "seen leaving the office?" again you shook you heard no. "then you were perfect. a bit more training and you'll be a real pro." your eyes widen. "you want to teach me?" she nodded "if batman can have a robin and joker can have an harley. why can't I have a kitten." you felt honored and happy. you would love to learn from catwoman, it's been a goal of yours since last week. "what do you say?" you nodded
"yes! I would love too!" she opened her mouth to say something but was cut off. "caught red handed selina hand over whatever you stole." batman. she smirked "Oh bat, I've missed you." she pulled away from me, turning to face batman. "don't play games with me selina, hand over the ruby and I'll forget you where here."
"selina? that's your name?" you asked she glanced at you. "yes kitten, that's my name." she pushed you forwords "bat this is kitten, she has a question for you." the tall shadow in front of you was intimidating and scary. you gulped down your fears "my friend and I are the ones who stole your tire. we went back for another one but you were already there, you chased us and were gaining on us but we split up. what did you do with my friend?" you asked trying to sound brave you don't think he was buying but you still tried.
Y/N POV:
I could feel his eyes studing me, like he was trying to determine if I was worth the imformation or not. "please, sir. he's all I have left." I pleaded. it was silent for a minute when he said. "he fought hard to get back to you." he sighed "I knew once you two split up I would not be able to catch the both of you, expecally since I didn't know where you would be going. so I slowed down and let him run. I thought he would lead me to you. it took me a while to realise he was running in the opposite direction from you. he was giving you time to run away."
"aww that's so sweet." cat-- selina said. "where is he?" I asked again he hesitant to answer the question. he didn't know if he could trust me and I didn't care. I don't care if he trusted me our not it's not about him. I'd do anything to get jason back. I've already proven that and I'll prove it again if I had to. I don't know where this anger came from but standing here looking at the masked man with no powers deciding he had the right to take my friend away from me. where did he get off.
"Where. is. he.?" I asked one last time. "Ma Gunn's School for orphans." that name sounded familiar. I think Greg told jason and I about it one time. I don't remember what he said about the school but I don't think it was anything good. "Thank you selina for everything you've done for me. I'll see you around." I said leaving the dark museum. I don't know if I'll ever see selina again, I wanted to. I really wanted to learn how to do what she does. but I can't think about that right now. jason comes first. he will always come first.
--
my legs were tired by the time I stood infront of 'Ma Gunn's School for orphans' it was late, cold and creepy out here in the middle of Crime Alley. it was stupid of me to be out here by myself but jason was in there. somewhere.
I was surprise at the School infront of me. it was not like the other Buildings on the street. It was smaller then I thought it would be, there were no broken or boarded up windows and it was bright yellow like a school bus. every building except this one looked like a heavy sigh would cause it to crumble to dust but this one stood strong. red flag number one. Red flag number two was the bars on the window. now bars on the window isn't uncommon in Gothem but these bars were on the inside. like they were trying to keep something in not out.
something about this place did not seem right to me. the building should be falling apart because of it being extremely underfunded like every school/orphanage in gothem was. Money laundering is the only explanation I could think of. 'stop worrying about the school y/n just get in get jason and leave.' maybe there's a back door that was left open? or maybe a window without bars on it.
the boarding school was not easy to get into, it took almost an whole hour for me to finally get in. the inside was even more impressive. it was obviously an apartment turned boarding school and it was nice. the first floor (or the lobby) was a large classroom with a white board on one end and an elevator on the other. it was HUGE, the classroom could fit fifty kids comfortably there was also a small desk in the corner next to the backdoor probably for the teacher.
I got into the elevator which wasn't really a good idea. I could easly get caught this way. I could hear selina yelling at me now. 'get out of the elevator.' 'you're going to get caught' 'what are you going to do if someone gets in the elevator?' but I had no chosice, there were no stairs.
the buttons on the elevators read.
ATTIC.
HALL A.
HALL B.
CAFETERIA.
CLASSROOM A.
CLASSROOM B.
I pressed 'Hall A.' to go up. 'Hall' was of course the rooms and in one of those rooms was jason. my heart pounded at the thought of seeing jason again. I was excited, I wanted to hug him tight and never let the go. I wanted to run into his arms and have him hold me tight and never let me go. I wanted him to call me stupid for worrying about him. he'd probably say something like 'you shouldn't be worry fairy, I knew you'd find me.' or something sappy like that. my face would get hot and I'd push him away in embarrassment but he'd probably pull me back. God I couldn't wait.
I practically jumped out of the elevator when the doors finally opened. I was one step closer to jason. the floor I was on looked like a regular apartments now. except none of the apartments had front doors. I walked into the first one labeled 'H1'. I was hoping someone here knew jason and could point me to him. I was not trying to go through every room but I knew if it came down too, I would.
there was no rooms just an open space with bunk beds and dressers against the wall. it was basically a large studio apartment. there was no oven/stove but a small table and three little chairs. the only thing they had was a bathroom. there was six boys in this room and they all looked to be different ages. I walk to the nearest boy to shake him awake but before I could even put my hand on his shoulder a loud siren sounded through out the whole floor. "Not again." I groaned. everything happened so fast. the boys rose from they're bunk bed wearing dark shirts and pants. they looked like robots, none of them paid me any mind as they put of they're shoes. a line started forming infront of the elevators. groups of seven went down at a time. they didn't seem to be thinking just doing. it was weird. I couldn't see jason in the crowd of boys and girls, maybe he's in the other hall.
I followed the crowd down the elevator back into the Lobby/ classroom B and out the door. an odd looking woman was ushering kids into a long bus, she looked like the old lady from Monsters, Inc. she was a fat, short lady who had no neck and spiky white hair. she looked mean. "get in, get in. we don't have much time." she said almost pushing a girl up the steps. "what's going on?" I asked the boy next to me. "where you sleeping in class or something? it's the hest." I looked at him like he was crazy, Kids pulling a hest? that was completely unheard of. even for gothem. "the one we've been planning for week?" a kid on my other side said. a small girl who look no older then five. "you must be new, I'm Nia. can you hold my hand, I'm scared." Nia held her hand up, I took her hand in mine.
"yeah me too but it's going to be ok.I promise" she let out a sigh and shrugged. "don't mind Michael he doesn't like alot of people. just his friend Mike and sam. they use to steal my lunch until my friend jason kick their asses." I froze, could she me talking about MY jason? I cleared my throat from the sudden tightness. "Nia. your friend jason, what's he like?" I asked stopping in the line so we had time to talk. something tells me once we get on that bus I won't have that opportunity. she smile widely "Oh he's the best. those mean boys were picking on me again and he punched them in the face." her small fist hit the palm of her hand with a loud smack. "he beat their ass. that'll teach them to mess with me." her hand tighten around mine. "he shared a secret with me, he said--" she narrowed her eyes at me "are we friends?" she asked I nodded "of course" I said she smiled "then I think I tell you a secret" she glanced around making sure no one was listening. "he told me--" "HEY! get on the bus" the monster Inc. lady yelled glaring at Nia and I. I rolled my eyes walking up the steps of the bus with Nia. the bus was oddly silent dispite there being 30 plus kids. they sat perfectly still, staring forword. "Creepy" I wispered taking the closes seat to the front. "We have to be quiet now." Nia wispered she looked scared. her little knee was bouncing with nerves and her hand clunched tightly around my hand. "it's going to be ok Nia I'm going to protect you." I said. I don't know what is happening here and I don't see jason anywhere but I truely wanted to protect her. she was just so young "Nia." she looked startled "your friend jason, where is he?" I asked she glanced around nervously "he ran away." she wispered "he said he was going to stop Ma Gunn." I nodded that sounds like jason.
The large bus pulled into the parking lot of a bank, Ma Gunn smiled widely almost as big as the jokers. the bus doors opened and like robots the kids stood up simultaneously heading towords the doors of the bus. I looked down when I felt a tug on my shirt. "we have to go" Nia said she was standing up also, waiting for me to move out of the way. I followed the line into the bank where kids were making quick work stuffing the money into large garbage bags. "we have to hurry the police are going to be here in five minutes." nia and I grabbed the huge bags and started stuffing money into it
it would be ten minutes and an half bag of money later when a loud bang made everyone in the bank freeze. "the hell was that!" Ma Gunn yelled rushing out of the bank. kids being kids we ran after her to see for ourselves. I don't know what I expected to see when I ran out of the bank, the bus being on fire was surprisingly not one of them. "MA GUNN I will not allow you to use these kids for your personal gain any longer. come out and fight me" I wanted to laugh. there he was standing infront of a burning bus ready to take on a woman more than twice his size, yep that's my jason.

Summary:
Trying to get over her ex, Annie arranges a meet up with her new beau.
I know you belong To somebody new But tonight You belong to me Although we're apart You are a part of my heart But tonight You belong to me
Black dress? Check. Lacy thigh highs? Check. Panties that barely cover her ass? Eh. Scratch that. Annie pulled down her black panties with the small, cute pink bow at the center and tossed them on her bed. Honestly, she wouldn’t need panties for what she’s planning on doing tonight.
She scheduled a date with a good-looking hunter that she’d been seeing for quite a while now. Has it really been six months already? She smiled at the thought of her current relationship. He actually brought her flowers and chocolates. If she heard a sound in the night that absolutely frightened her, then presto! He was there in a flash and would spend the night cuddling her while stroking her hair. She hadn’t felt this loved, since…
Oh god. Stop thinking about HIM. That relationship was over and for a good reason. Chrollo Lucilfer. She hadn’t seen him in like a year, but honestly this was good for her. He was a complete psychopath. Trying to talk to another man? He’d glare the other man down and punish her later with no remorse. Taking a walk? He MUST come with to make sure she’s telling the truth and not seeing other men behind his back. If she ever betrayed his trust, he’d leave her handcuffed to her bed pleading for forgiveness. She hated his guts.
But oh god could he make Annie feel sooooo good. His fingers felt like heaven and his dick? Don’t even get started on that. She shook her head. What the fuck was she even going on about? No matter what he did, the dude was crazy. Enough reminiscing about stuff that he did to make her feel incredible.
When she glanced at the mirror, she thought that her makeup was a bit smeared. Hurriedly, she dabbed a bit of spit on her finger and wiped some of the excess lipstick off. With a confident grin, she finally felt like she was ready to meet her beau. As she waltzed through her doorway, she felt a twinge of fear. Something didn’t feel right at all. Even though she felt like something might go horribly wrong, she shrugged it off. Chrollo wouldn’t even fucking know about this. He was probably in another country stealing more crap and not giving a damn about her. She sighed heavily as she left her apartment.

Chrollo was furious as he reached the meeting place of Annie and her “lover”. How dare she meet up with someone behind his back. He was afraid of this and only left her out of his sight when he absolutely had to. He only left for a little while, right?
When he opened the door, he spotted her date sitting down with his arm draped over one of the back pillows. Once her date noticed him, he stood up with a puzzled expression on his face. Chrollo couldn’t even see what she found attractive in this man. He had on this tacky suit and honestly looked like he just got out of bed. He didn’t deserve her.
“Who the fuck are you?” The man asked, reaching for something in his back pocket. In response, Chrollo reached for his Ben’s knife. Two could play that game.
“None of your concern.” Chrollo replied, still clutching his knife. The hunter grabbed the item in his back pocket, which turned out to be a gun, and fired bullets at him. Unfortunately for him, Chrollo was faster and dodged the bullets with ease. Then, he ran towards the man who was anxiously trying to reload his gun and sliced the hunter’s arm. The hunter let out a grunt in response.
Chrollo wanted to just let the man die, but another idea popped in his head. He smirked as he brought out his book, flipping it to a certain page.

Annie hummed a happy tune as she approached the seedy motel. Seriously, she wished that he had picked a better place for her first time besides this dingy place. Eh, beggars can’t be choosers, she guessed. Though, he had his own place, right? Why didn’t he bring her there? Sounded sketchy as shit, but okay.
Room 204, he said. She gulped and managed to convince herself that she could do this, opening the door slowly. She didn’t expect what she was looking at when she first walked into the room.
Her date, or what was left of him, collapsed onto the floor. In the corner of the room, she saw the man she didn’t want to see ever again. Fucking Chrollo.
“Pleasure seeing you again.” He walked over the corpse of Annie’s boyfriend and went to touch her cheek. Trembling and with tears streaming down her face, she reached for the doorknob.
However, Chrollo immediately wrapped his arms around her and pulled her deeper into the dark room.
“It appears that your manners need some work.” He mumbled into her neck. Why the hell was he back here?! She thought that after six goddamn months that he’d forget about her and fuck someone else. Well, she thought wrong.
“W-why?” Annie asked, tears still falling from her eyes. Ignoring her question, he wiped the tears off with his finger and pulled her into a kiss. His other hand traveled down her body until he reached for the bottom of her dress. She tried to move her arms, yet she stood there frozen as his fingers found their way to her pussy.
“You aren’t wearing any panties.” He frowned and pushed her onto the nearby bed. Looking over the side of the bed, she saw her boyfriend once again. It looked like chunks had been taken out of him. Didn’t Chrollo have…? That fucker didn’t.
“YOU USED THE INDOOR FISH SHIT, DIDN’T YOU?!” She cried out, wiping back tears. This wasn’t fair. Her boyfriend didn’t do anything but exist! Why did Chrollo think that he had the right to barge in here and take his life with his stupid ass fish?!
Without warning, he grabbed her boyfriend’s head and pushed it right in her face. She felt like she was about to vomit. She gagged, but nothing came out.
“You really were about to have sex with him tonight, weren’t you?” When she didn’t answer him, he threw the corpse to the side and grabbed her face, smearing blood all over her cheeks. “Answer me.”
“Y-yes.” Annie managed to sputter out, nervously waiting for his response. He towered over her as he pressed one of his knees against her bare pussy, eliciting a gasp from her.
“Next time you’re thinking about leaving me, remember this.” He leaned into her until his teeth grazed her neck. Then, he harshly bit her, which made her scream. “You’re mine and only mine.”
Note: If you liked the story, feel free to give me a kudos! :)

I wrote this crack fic because I was going through a terrible writer's block and I had to write something different from what I usually write. Hope you like this!
Thanks to @miss-nerd95 for beta'ing this! <3
Tumblr media
You gasped loudly as he threw you over the bed, pupils blown with lust as he drank you in. You had never seen such hunger in his eyes. He was hungry and he made that clear as he ripped off your blouse in one swift motion leaving you just in your shorts.
All of your rational thoughts flew out of the window as he started leaving kisses down your body. His hands massaged one of your breasts as his mouth latched onto another, eliciting a deep moan from your mouth as his tongue flicked your hardened nipple.
You knew this was bad but you were taken by the piece of writing like a moth drawn towards the flame. You had put your hands in the fire, willingly, and now you were going to get burned by it, but you couldn't stop yourself from reading the next lines.
“De-” you whimpered as he let go of your nipples and started to work on your pants. His hands brushed your clothed core as he murmured, “Mhm, so wet for me already. How long have you been thinkin’ ‘bout me, sweetheart?” Dean ripped your panties and let out a low growl, making you shiver in anticipation.
“Long enough.” You purred. He pulled at your panties as he captured your lips in a passionate kiss. His teeth grazed your lower lips, drawing out a low moan out of you.
A small whimper left your lips as you looked around the empty bunker, thanking your luck that Sam and Dean were both out to pick up some supplies. You contemplated whether to move your reading to your bedroom or stay at the War Room table surrounded by piles of lore books.
You didn't even know how you ended up on this fansite because all this time you clearly had no idea that fans from all over the world were writing certain stories involving the Winchester based on the books by Carver Edlund. You were supposed to be researching for new cases, not read some erotic piece of writing about Dean Winchester, your best friend, but you somehow opened this site and you did come across a really sensual story, and ever since you started reading it, you couldn't stop. So there was no turning back now.
You let out a little sigh as you read on, knowing very well your panties were now ruined.
“God, you're so beautiful,” he whispered into your ears. He licked his lips, his eyes raking over your naked form.
“And you're overdressed,” you whined tugging at his jeans.
“Someone's a little too eager,” he smirked and pulled his shirt over his head, throwing it on the floor. You could see his growing excitement strain against the material of his jeans. Your hands reached out to palm the very noticeable bulge but he quickly swatted your hand away.
“Tonight is not about me, it's about you, sweetheart.” He smirked.
“Mhm,” you nodded, unable to form a coherent sentence. You threw your head back as you cried out in ecstasy when Dean put a finger inside you. He pumped twice before adding another. Your eyes fluttered shut as he curled his fingers in you, the tips brushing against your g-spot repeatedly, the action drawing out a loud moan from you. You could feel yourself edging towards the climax as Dean kept on repeating the motion.
You bit down on your lip, trying to stop your own moan that was threatening to leave your mouth. Your free hand gripped your thigh tightly, nails digging into your skin through your jeans as you felt your face on fire.
“Fuck,” you cursed as he pulled out his fingers just before you could come. He had a devilish smirk on his face and you wanted nothing more than to wipe it off. He quickly opened the button on his jeans before pushing it down along with his boxers, his hard length springing free. You watched him as he took his cock in his hands, pumping himself twice before rubbing up and down his length, the tip of his length beaded with precum.
“Are you going to fuck me tonight?” You were getting annoyed with his teasing.
“Such a needy little thing, aren't you?” Dean pressed his lips onto yours in a chaste kiss before lining himself in front of your entrance. You sucked in a deep breath as he pushed himself in you. He-
You slammed your laptop shut as you heard the boys coming down the stairs. So lost in the story, you didn't even hear the boys closing the door of the bunker.
“Honey, we're home!” Dean teased, as he rounded the corner of the stairs and stood across the table. “You okay?” He narrowed his eyes at you as he placed the pack of beer on the table.
“Y-yeah. I'm great. Awesome. Amazing. Fantastic,” you blurted out and mentally slapped yourself - like that was totally going to help you and not raise any suspicion.
You looked at Dean with hooded eyes, feeling like you were seeing him in a new light. Were his eyes always this beautiful shade of green? Your eyes travelled downwards as you gulped at the sight of his jeans hanging low on his hips.
“Y/N?” You jumped at the voice of Sam.
“W-what?”
“Are you okay? You look a little flushed,” he asked with worries in his eyes.
“Stop asking me if I'm okay!” You exclaimed.
“Okay,” Dean raised up his hands in defence. Grabbing your laptop from the table, you stood up and turned on your heels to go to your room.
Tumblr media
It had been three days since you had read the story about Dean, which you had eventually completed reading once you were alone in your bedroom. Three days since you had spent every spare minute you had to look up more of those writings about Dean. But now, you regretted it because every time you crossed paths with him, you wanted nothing but to rip his clothes off and jump his bones. You cursed Chuck for writing about the lives of the Winchesters and publishing it, giving way to the inspirations for these fanfictions. Your feelings toward him had intensified and you couldn't even form a complete sentence without stuttering while talking to him.
Even though Dean was indifferent to the change in your actions, Sam had quickly caught on to it but you had kept your mouth tightly shut, though you didn't know how long you would be able to control yourself around him - especially after tonight.
As you laid in the bed of a rundown motel room, you picked up a pillow to cover your ears, trying to drown out the voices coming from Dean's room. The banging of the headboard against the paper thin wall and the loud moans of the girl made you wonder if sex with Dean was really as good as you read in the stories. You looked over to the other bed in the room and saw Sam’s chest rise and fall accompanied by heavy breathing, indicating he was in deep sleep but Dean's low grunts and moans from the other room made it impossible for you to get any sleep that night.
“Morning,” Dean strolled into your room the next morning, with a stupid ‘I got laid’ look on his face. You glanced at him while sipping your coffee but refrained from saying anything.
“Next time, stay at another motel if you decide to bring home a girl,” Sam grumbled at his brother.
“So this is what it is all about? I swear you both are so uptight. You just need to get laid,” he smirked, taking a seat at the table across you.
You looked at him again but didn't say anything. You knew it was stupid to be angry at him. He was a man with needs and it was not like you had said anything to him about your crush.
“What's the matter with you?” Dean asked. You ignored his question as you grabbed your FBI clothes before marching off into the bathroom. Closing the door behind you, you let out a sigh of relief. You couldn't think straight with Dean Winchester looking like a freaking Vogue model in a suit. You took your sweet time to put on your clothes before leaving the bathroom.
“Y/N,” Dean said the moment you entered the room. You didn't even bother to look at him. “You can't ignore me forever.”
“I'm not ignoring you,” you finally spoke, “I'm just not talking to you.”
“Why? What did I do, sweetheart?”
“I'm not your sweetheart, Dean Winchester,” you snapped, surprising him.
“Easy there tiger,” he joked before slipping into his work persona, “So what do we have?” Dean picked up your laptop and logged into it before you could say anything. Your eyes widened in horror and embarrassment as you saw Dean’s face scrunch up, his eyes moving swiftly over the laptop screen.
“I had no idea you were into fifty shades, Y/N,” he chuckled.
“What?”
“This. You were reading porn.” He wiggled his eyebrows. “Oh Y/N. I was so wrong abo-” He suddenly stopped mid sentence as the playfulness left his face. “What is this?” Dean frowned.
“I….I don't-” You stammered. This wasn't supposed to happen. He wasn't supposed to find out.
“Dean?” Sam called out to his brother, noticing his change in expression. The older Winchester shoved the laptop towards his brother, all the while glaring at the electronic device.
“What the hell?” Sam exclaimed as he took a look at the screen. “Y/N. Tell me you weren't-”
“She clearly was.” You winced at how Dean spit out those words.
“I can explain. I just came across-”
“Don't.” Dean snapped and stormed out of the room.
Tumblr media
The hunt was a success and right now you and the Winchesters were celebrating the success in a bar. You rolled your eyes as you saw Dean flirting with a blonde so you knew you weren't going to get any sleep tonight either but what bothered you the most was that Dean had barely spoken any words to you since he found out about the stories.
“Hey are you okay?” Sam asked as you sat there at the counter nursing a glass of drink.
“Y-yeah I'm fine,” you whispered.
“Talk to me. You know your secrets are always safe with me,” he smiled.
“What's left to say? I came across a story. It was an erotic piece of writing with, uh-Dean, and I read it. Now I can't look at him without thinking that I invaded his privacy. I know it's all fiction but I read porn about my best friend. Everytime I see him, I am reminded of how he flicks his tongue-”
“Y/N! Too much information,” Sam groaned.
“Sorry.”
“What you did is wrong but you can't turn back time, can you?”
“No but what am I supposed to do?”
“Get laid. Relieve some of that tension.” Sam shrugged, making you glare at him.
“I love your brother, Sam who is over there flirting with that blonde, not talking to me. I-I can't do this. It's better if I just pack up my bags and permanently move to Antarctica.” You muttered.
“Y/N, be realistic. Talk to him or find someone to scratch your itch.” Sam said, getting out of his seat before walking away from you. You flagged the bartender for another round when you noticed a man slide into the seat next to you.
“Hey gorgeous. What is a pretty little thing like you doing all alone here?” You wanted to puke as soon as you heard the man speak. He placed a hand on yours, making your shudder.
“Hey,” you said, trying to use some of Sam’s advice and it was only for one night.
“Want to get out of here?” You fought the urge to roll your eyes at the man’s straightforwardness, he could have at least bought you a drink.
“Uhm-” you played along.
“Come on baby. You and I are gonna have an amazing night with your pussy wrapped around my cock-” and that was the final strike. You were ready to get out of the bar but not with that man.
“No thanks, I have a boyfriend,” you mumbled before finishing your drink and storming out of the bar, unbeknownst to the fact that Dean was watching the whole interaction, the woman beside him long forgotten.
Seeing you storm out of the bar, peaked his curiosity. He was never good with feelings so when he caught you fantasizing about him, it took him entirely by surprise. He had stormed out of that room because if he had stayed one more second, he would have taken you right then and there. After that incident, he couldn't get you out of his mind and that was making him uncomfortable because it was getting impossible for him to continue walking around with a hard on.
Tumblr media
Three harsh knocks on the door of the motel room interrupted your solo drinking session. Annoyed, you went to the door only for Dean to push it open and get in quickly
“Dean? What are-” your words were cut off by him loudly closing the door behind him. “Look I'm sorry, Dean. I know you can't even probably look at me. I am so sorry-”
“Why did you read about me?”
“What?”
“Why did you read about me? Why not read about Sam?” He raised his eyebrows at you.
“I-I….well. It's-I don't exactly have a reason-”
“Y/N.” He cocked his head.
“Fine. I like you. I like Sam too but he is like a brother to me and you're you. I-” you stopped rambling when you heard him scoff lightly.
“Then what's the matter with you?”
“Huh?” Now you were utterly confused.
“One moment you say that you like me and the next you are flirting with a sleazy bastard at the bar,” he huffed.
“You saw that?”
“Of course I did.”
“I thought you were angry at me because I literally read porn about you. You stormed out of that room.” You fiddled with the hem of your shirt as you whispered the words to him.
“I was angry but not at you. I don't like Chuck’s books but I kinda feel proud that you read porn about me,” you looked up at Dean and saw him smirking, “I was angry at myself because all this goddamn time I kept thinking you didn't feel the same.”
“What?”
“You have read about what fake-me can do, wanna see what the real me can?” He wiggled his eyebrows.
“W-what?” At this question, Dean leaned in, cupping your cheek as he captured your lips in a kiss. Your hands travelled all the way to the back of his neck, pulling him closer. His tongue swept across your lips, making you whimper. You both stumbled back to the bed, his lips still on yours. You only separated for a few seconds when you two quickly undressed.
Tumblr media
“Dean!” You cried out as you felt yourself coming undone, followed by a guttural groan from Dean as he spilled inside you, coating your walls with his seed. He panted, dropping his head in the crook of your neck as you both came down from the high. Raising his head, Dean looked at you with a fond expression on his face as he pulled out of you, rolling to the other side of the bed.
“Whoever said it was very wrong. Reality is so much better than fiction,” you giggled, looking at the man lying beside you. He turned his body to pull you closer, pecking your lips.
“I can't argue with you on that. Now no more reading about me, okay?” You nodded a stupid grin on your face.
“I got the real deal.”
“So you're not moving to Antarctica, are you? ‘Cause I would love to call you mine and I'm not good at long distance stuff,” Dean smirked.
“No, Winchester. I am not going anywhere because I would love to be called yours. Also remind me to kill Sam in the morning.” You huffed, making Dean burst out in fits of laughter.

the last part (for our sake)! <3
jisung grabbed heejin’s arm and took her a little further while holding an umbrella. park asked why on earth she wasn’t with jaemin and said that he even sent a message to him.
“hi, pops, gonna meet you, did you miss me? i know mama does.”, she read out loud, “are you crazy? haven’t i told you we’re not together anymore!”
“how come, ma’am?”, his expression of disbelief was incredibly funny.
“i’m not the one for him, do you understand? he must be searching for his true princess by now.”
“okay, but what should i do?”, held the phone up.
“just say that it was to your biological parents.”
everybody got their baggage back and went to the motel. the elderly decided to separate themselves into men and women groups. in the end, there were only two rooms left for hyuck, mark, jisung and the newly-weds. jeno wanted to eat, so he went to a 7-eleven nearby, leaving the four with a big question to solve.
“there’s a vacant room at the end of the hallway and one on the right side too.”, mark pointed out.
“the first is smaller and it has only a bunk bed, the second has exactly three single beds.”, hyuck added.“of course, we’ll be taking the bigger one, right, guys?”, looked to lee and park.
“no, i need jisung to stay with me.”, she put her hand on his left shoulder.
“we don’t want to mess up your night, lady.”, mark smiled.
oh, only if he could recognize his ex-wife. the youngest was really confused with everything.
“help me, i must not be alone with jeno.”, heejin spoke really low.
“why not? it isn’t like he’s going to attack you.”, jisung folded his arms.
“probably, it’ll be the other way around.”, she passed her fingers through her hair.
“HEE-”, he almost choked, “i didn’t want to imagine that! you’re gonna pay for my mental health!”
“no way! you don’t even know what i’ve seen just to get you here, sir.”
while they both were still discussing, the other two went ahead.
then, jisung carried part of jeno’s stuff and put it in the room for her, who locked the door and went to take a shower right away. in the middle of it, the woman felt something different and looked at the mirror, observing that she became ryujin again, just like the days spent with the soulmate in the past.
“well, i’m really glad he found his true heejin!”, exclaimed, “this means i can go on.”
when shin had finished drying herself, before getting out of the washroom, she wore one of her husband’s t-shirts, a femmer boxer and started dancing with happiness. distracted, wasn’t aware of jeno’s gaze toward her.
“have you just twerked?”, his eyes met hers, as he sat on the bed. “i never expected to see you, well… all of a sudden, being so sassy.”, smirked. “ you have been so awkward until now, but you’re taking my clothes again, as usual.”
[fyi: the dimension changed. so, in this one, jeno already washed and ryujin ate before that. still, they were in the same place, with the same bunk bed and it was raining.]
“there’s no such thing as yours, babe, only ours. this is how marriage works.”, she stopped moving her hips.
“oh, really?”, he leaned forth to hold her right hand and pulled it, making his wife get closer. “come on, let’s share some body heat, i’m cold.”
“where are the blankets?”, “i gave them to jisung.”, “you shouldn’t have, i’m going to sleep on the top bunk, you know.”.,“without a mattress?”, suddenly, all her carefree thoughts were thrown away. as long as he stays playing on the safe side, everything would be okay. they laid down. she chose to be at the wall's side.
"i have something to give you, close them.", he got something under the pillow. "well, now this is a surprise.", she covered her eyes.
"yeah, you're always letting me amused and i don't know how to make it up for it. even though i can sense how you're feeling and what you're thinking, because we're soulmates, you're so randomly unique and i've fallen for you just like that.", "you're gonna make me cry, jeno.", "i'm sorry, i had to say it.", he put a necklace on her collar. "you don't have the last one i gave you, right?"
ryujin didn't react. "i don't blame you, it's hard loving someone that disappears from time to time.", he hugged her and she glanced him.
"yes, it's really hard. lucky you, my love is like the pacific ocean.", "mine is like the atlantic, then.", "yes, you like getting lost in bermuda triangle." he laughed, "it all makes sense.", "well, it's good to be back to normal.", "what normal?", "we chillin', yeah."
"can you do that for me?", jeno placed his hands on ryujin's waist and pressed his body against hers, caressing her left thigh. "do what?", she was a little concerned with that move. "when you giggle and it goes...", wow, the relief. "i cant' force it, it's natural."
he softly whispered in her ear "who's my kitty-kitty?"
"it's me---ow!", for some reason, she tried to hold back the chuckle, which escaped a "pu..u...u...r..."
"you're so cute."
"and you're my doggie-doggie." (sounded similar to doki doki.)
he licked her neck. at that instant, she knew. they started kissing. in the background, someone (hyuck have sneaked into the room with a sound speaker before all that) played 'mmmh' by kai. she was happy, he was happy, but someone knocked the door really hard.
"HEEJIN, ARE YOU THERE?", it was jaemin.
when jeno stopped and opened it, both got confused. luckily, mark and jisung grabbed nana back to their space.
"what was that, ryujin?", "dunno..."
hyuck turned up the music and the soulmate was a bit suspicious of her.
"do you need me?", returned to the bed.
"no."
he was discontent.
"i want you, you fool. it's been like that for a year and a half!"
DID JISUNG CALL JAEM HIS DAD LMAOO GOODBYE 😭😭
i’m sorry but this was a little confusing?? 😭 so like how many different worlds are there in this? sometimes she’s yeji, then ryujin, and then heejin? who’s the bff, the ex-wife, the gf, and jeno’s soulmate?? 💀
HE DID WHAT 👁️👄👁️ and sHE SAID WHAT 👁️👄👁️ AND THEY DID WHAT 👁️👄👁️ THERE’S SO MUCH GOING ON DAMN PEOPLE 👁️👄👁️

Chapter Nine: Sleep Peacefully
Tumblr media
(Image not mine)
Rated: PG
~What story should I tell? Will it end happy, will it turn out well? What dreams do I own? Can I call any place my home?
And I rock myself to sleep, and I tell myself "don't get caught too deep" 'Cause I know by now, you're here for me.
And I tell myself "move along" and I tell myself "you were all wrong" But I know by now, wrong was right for me.
I'll sleep peacefully~
The black paved road of the near-empty highway stretched out in front of us, a stark contrast to the piles of glittering snow that the snowplows had pushed off the street. We had been on the road for 9 hours and were now somewhere in Iowa. The area we were now driving through was so much brighter than Copper Harbor ever was. There wasn't so much as a cloud to be seen in the sky. The last few orange rays of light from the setting sun sprinkled across the landscape as it dipped below the horizon, glittering and reflecting off hills blanketed in white. The sight almost hurt my eyes. It was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen. Whipping out my phone I snapped as many pictures as I possibly could, though I knew they would never do justice to the spectacular view.
The sun sank lower and lower and eventually vanished beneath the horizon. Then the stars came out. Scattered across the black velvet sky, they were so numerous it seemed impossible. I could see the differences in colors and size, and I could trace the shape of the Milky-Way. There were no trees or streetlamps lining the Iowa highway and it felt as if I was swimming through inky blackness, like I was swimming between the stars. The glittering lights were so bright and so close. It was special sort of magical.
I rested my elbows on my knees and my head between my hands and stared out the windshield at the beautiful black expanse. On my right, Castiel copied my position.
"Jack tells me you like the stars," he said. Upon hearing his name, Jack briefly looked to me and smiled before turning his gaze back to the window. I had been drifting in and out of conversation with various partners throughout the car ride.
"I do, I love them," I kept my voice soft and my answer simple, "I've never seen so many at once before. I don't think I'll ever get used to it." Castiel smiled softly.
"You know, I am several billion years old, and I am still baffled by the magnificence of this universe. Sights like this, they never get old." I turned my head away from the bright lights in the sky to look at the angel beside me.
"Have you been up there?"
He nodded.
"Yes, I have."
"What's it like?"
Castiel sighed in a melancholy sort of way. I could see the reflection of all those stars gleaming in his eyes.
"It's more beautiful than you can imagine."
I nodded and gazed back out at view of the heavens.
"I wish I could live up there."
Castiel chuckled.
"Someday you might. Who knows what will happen?" He said.
"Yeah."
"However," he added, "As for right now, I think you need to get some rest."
"Nah, sleep is for the weak." At that moment I yawned, emphasizing my point. Dean glanced at me in the rear-view mirror.
"We can pull off and stop at a motel overnight if you need some sleep," He offered. I shook my head and tried to blink away my sleepiness.
"Don't stop on my account! I can sleep in the car," I insisted.
"You sure?" Dean asked. I gave him a thumbs up.
"Oh yeah. I actually sleep better in cars, if you can believe it. Something about the noise and the motion puts me to sleep like a baby, I'm all good." For once I told the truth. I really did sleep better in cars.
"Okay, as long as you're comfy, we've got about eight more hours till' we get there." Dean turned down the volume on whatever album we'd been listening to all day. I'd never been a fan of rock music, but some of Dean's songs weren't that bad.
"We'll try to be quiet for you, Marty," Sam said. I yawned again and rubbed my eyes.
"Thanks guys, for everything. Honestly, I can't even remember the last time I had a good night's sleep."
"You're welcome, kid. This is what we do. Now shut your eyes." Dean mock commanded. I rolled them instead and turned to Jack.
"Jack?" I said to get his attention.
"Hm?"
"What are your feelings on being used as a pillow?" Jack's face was painted with all shades of confusion.
"I-I don't, um, I-" He tried to answer but I cut him off with a wave of my hand.
"I'm just kidding," I explained. "You don't have a choice in the matter!"
I grabbed his arm and tugged it around my shoulders so I could lay my head on his chest. Jack's entire body stiffened, and he looked to Cas with an expression that said 'Help me, she's doing something weird. Tell me what to do'. Castiel merely shrugged and in the front seat Dean snorted. I chuckled and waited for Jack to shift around a bit and get comfortable before I closed my eyes.
"You're a comfy pillow," I remarked.
"Um, thank you?"
I couldn't see his face, but Jack sounded extremely confused. I decided then that I needed something to hold on to. It took me a few moments to feel around for his arm but when I found it, I gripped his hand and held it up.
"This is mine now."
Wrapping his arm around my waist, I tangled our fingers together and smirked when I felt Jack chuckle and wrap his other arm around me in a way that was friendly and natural.
"If this keeps up, I think we're gonna have to have a talk with Jack about a thing or two." I heard Dean whisper to Sam.
"I heard that."
"Shut up, Mcfly. You're supposed to be sleeping." He scolded, teasingly. I kept my eyes closed but stuck out my tongue at him. I smiled when I heard him laugh.
"Goodnight, guys."
"Goodnight." Dean, Sam and Cas chimed together.
"Sweet dreams, Marty," Jack whispered.
With that, I let myself slowly drift into oblivion's velvet embrace.
***
"Is she asleep, yet?" Dean asked in a whisper, peering in the mirror at the sleeping girl.
"Um, I'm not sure." Jack craned his neck in an effort to find out, but he just couldn't tell.
"I'm trying, Mom," Marty mumbled into Jack's chest. That made him grin.
"From that I'd say, she's close."
"I'm not your mom, Marty," Dean sighed.
"Sorry, dad." She murmured. Dean just shrugged.
"Well, that's a little closer I guess," He said, his lips twitching with a tiny smile.
"Say, Jack, when's the last time you slept?" Sam asked, turning in his seat to face Jack who's face scrunched up as he thought about his answer.
"Four days ago, I think." He replied. Now that he thought about it, Jack realized just how tired he was.
"Dude. Sleep. Now." Dean ordered. Jack blinked a few times and yawned.
"No, I can wait." He yawned again.
"Jack..." Cas pressed.
"I can't go to sleep yet," Jack insisted.
"Why not? Marty back there did it just fine," Dean said.
"Gimmie back my socks, Biden," Marty mumbled.
"See? Out like a flickering lightbulb." Dean joked.
"No, you don't get it. I can't go to sleep, she's right here. She'd think I'm weird or something." Jack worried.
"Well, you're not exactly normal, Jack." Cas muttered under his breath.
"Look, she's the one sleeping on you kid." Dean paused, glancing at the others in the car. "That came out wrong. The point is, she clearly doesn't know the meaning of personal space. Just go for it." He finished, refocusing on the road.
"What do you mean?" Jack asked. Dean's eyeroll was nearly audible.
"Go to sleep, Jack. She ain't gonna care."
Jack nodded.
Snow began to fall on the roof of the Impala with a tip, tip, tipping noise as Jack rested his head atop Marty's. Her hair was soft under his cheek and he matched his breathing with the gentle rise and fall of her chest.
"I love that sound," She sighed, in her half-asleep stupor. Jack guessed she was referring to the sound of the falling snow.
"Me too," he whispered, closing his eyes and drifting off to the same place as the girl beside him.
***
"Jack."
...
"Jack!"
...
"You have got to be kidding me... JACK!"
Jack woke with a start. Blinking rapidly, he attempted to make sense of the world around him. Confusion washed over him as he could have sworn, he had fallen asleep in the Impala next to Marty. But he wasn't there anymore. In fact, he wasn't sure where he was.
Everything was white. The walls, the ceiling, the floor. Well, actually this place didn’t really seem to have walls or a ceiling or a floor. It was all just white, stretching off forever. Behind Jack somebody coughed.
"Behind you," They said, sounding rather annoyed.
Jack turned around slowly and cautiously. Standing in front of him now stood Marty. Her tiny hands on her slim hips and her face twisting into a frown that was somehow amused and annoyed at the same time. She raised her eyebrows at him, and her foot tapped rapidly on whatever surface it was that they seemed to be standing on.
"Heya, Jack." Marty smirked.
Jack's eyes shifted nervously left and right. His hand reached up on its own accord to rub at the knot he felt in his chest. He got the distinct impression that something here wasn't right. He planned to figure out what was going on as soon as he could determine where exactly 'here' was.
"Don't worry Jack, it’s just us. Or, I should say, it’s just you," Marty said, clarifying and confusing things for Jack at the same time. Jack shifted his gaze back to the girl in front of him.
"Where are we?" He asked, his brows drawing together. Marty smiled at him pleasantly.
"We're inside your head!" She answered.
"What?" Jack wondered how she could answer his question while giving him so many more at the same time. She giggled a bit at his confused expression. Spreading her arms like wings, she spun in a circle.
"Look around, Jack! It’s so big! You should be proud!" She stopped spinning to grin at him. The line between Jack's eyebrows and his confusion were deepening quickly. Marty tapped her chin and looked upward with a smirk, as if thinking about something. "But we really should both be proud." She mused.
"Marty, what's going on? Are you okay?" Jack took a step towards the girl reaching his hand out. Marty flicked her eyes up and down between him and his outstretched hand, her expression darkened. She held up her hands in a defensive gesture as she took a few sauntering steps back.
"First of all, I'm not Marty," She stated, evenly. Jack's position instantly switched from inviting to aggressive. He bent his knees and widened his stance, shifting his weight onto the balls of his feet, readying himself for a fight.
"Who are you?! Where is she?! What did you do to her?!" He demanded. His eyes pulsed with an orange light as he prepared to use his powers. The person in front of him, who apparently wasn't Marty, put a hand on her chest, gasping with obvious mockery.
"You wound me, Jack! You're not even going to ask who I am? I thought we were better friends than this." She closed her eyes and shook her head, sighing in an obnoxious and sarcastic way. Jack wasn't having any of this thing's games. He clenched his teeth and raised his hand threateningly.
"Where's Marty?" He growled, trying his best to imitate Sam, Dean, or Cas when they were in similar positions. The not-Marty just rolled her eyes, like she was bored.
"Yeah, no. We ain't doing that in here." She frowned, waving her hand simply. Jack scowled and tried to blast her back with his power, but he abruptly realized that he couldn't. Nothing was happening. She had taken his powers away. His eyes snapped open wide and he stared at his hand. Now he was the one taking a few steps back.
"W-what? I-" Jack stuttered. The not-Marty crossed her arms and leaned back on her heels, taking on a much more relaxed position.
"I think we got off on the wrong foot here, Jack. Can we start over?" She tilted her head and smiled pleasantly at him before sitting cross-legged on the ground. Jack nodded at her with a distrusting expression but hesitantly copied her position.
"Thank you, Jack. I'm sorry about the attitude earlier, it's just that, with this form you gave me, her personality and came with it and then there was your expectations and perception to deal with, so I had to battle through that. I'm very sorry, but I think we're all good now."
Jack was struck by just how pretty the pleasant smile on her face was and had to remind himself that it wasn't really Marty.
"What do you mean? Who are you?" He asked, expecting another vague and confusing answer. The girl giggled, her laugh sounded exactly like Marty's bubbling, wind chime laugh.
"I'm you, Jack!" She replied, brightly.
"No, you're not- you can't- how can you be me? I don't understand," Jack shook his head, bewildered. The girl giggled again.
"I'm not you you, of course. I'm your conscience! Or your sub-conscious or whatever, really." Jack didn't know what to say. Not-Marty leaned forward as if to tell him a secret. "Ya remember what I said about us being inside your head?" She reminded him.
"So, this is a dream?" He asked. She nodded.
"You could call it that, yes. So, you don't have to worry about Marty. When you wake up, she'll be right were you left her, safe, sound, and all cuddled up in your arms." She wrapped her arms around herself, jokingly. Jack nodded, sighing with relief, now he could figure out the rest of this weirdness.
"If you're my conscience, why do you look like Marty?" Was his next question. The girl claiming to be his conscience shrugged.
"You were thinking about her when you fell asleep. It's that simple." Jack nodded slowly.
"This is confusing," he stated. The girl just nodded.
"It is. Let's make it a little less confusing, shall we?" She stretched her hand out for him to shake, "I'm not Marty so how bout' you call me Cricket?"
"Why Cricket?"
"Like Jiminy Cricket! From Pinocchio!" She cheered. Jack took her hand and shook it firmly, still not completely sure he trusted all she was saying.
"Hello Cricket, it's nice to meet you?" He said, more as a question than a statement.
"It's nice to meet you too, Jack!" Cricket giggled for a moment before sobering up in a snap, "But we need to have a talk," She said, her voice grave.
"About what?" Asked Jack, carefully. Cricket chuckled at his apprehensive tone.
"Relax kiddo, it's not like I'm mad at you!" She reassured him.
"Then why am I here? What do we need to talk about?" Cricket frowned; her expression dark.
"We need to talk about Marty," She said. Jack narrowed his eyes.
"What about Marty?"
"There's something off about that girl, but I don't know what it is," Cricket answered.
"Why not?"
She rolled her eyes.
"Well, if you don't know, then I don't know, and we don't know!" She he exclaimed.
"Oh."
"But I'm telling you, all five-foot-two of this," Cricket gestured at Marty's body, "Isn't what it seems." Jack frowned.
"What are you saying?"
"I'm saying, Martina is dangerous," Cricket deadpanned.
"No! She's my friend! She's not dangerous!" Jack protested. Cricket raised an eyebrow, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Really? How much do you actually know about her? You don't even know her full name," She pointed out, her voice harsh. "She's keeping secrets, Jack."
"No."
"Don't make me the villain here, Jack. You're making me the villain, I'm not!"
"Stop! Get out of my head!" Jack shouted.
"Jack, listen to me. I'm you and I'm trying to protect us!" Jack scrambled to his feet, shaking his head.
"I don't believe you!" The girl in front of him stood too.
"If you won't listen to me, then maybe you'll listen to mom." Then Marty was gone. Standing in her place was Kelly Kline.
"Mom?" Jack whispered he couldn't stop himself inching forward. Kelly opened her arms.
"Jack! Please listen to me, you can't trust that girl. I know she's your friend, but you need to look-" Jack cut her off.
"You're not real!" He said, backing away. In an instant, Kelly was gone, and Cricket came back.
"Fine, suit yourself." Cricket's glared was ferocious and her voice was cruel. "But don't say I didn't warn you."
Jack blinked and when he opened his eyes, Cricket was gone.
***
"We should probably wake em' up," Sam whispered as the Impala rounded the turn off on the dirt road that led to the bunker.
"Wait! Cas, do me a favor," Dean said passing his phone to the angel in the back seat, "take a picture of those two." Jack and Marty were still fast asleep. The only thing that had changed in eight hours on the road was that Marty had grabbed a hand full of Jack's shirt. Taking the phone from Dean's hand, Cas snapped three pictures of the sleeping duo.
"Here." He passed the phone back to Dean who took his eyes off the road to observe the pictures.
"Awesome." Dean grinned. "These are going in the black-mail folder."
"In the what?" Sam asked.
"The black-mail folder, Sammy. You don't have one?"
"Uh, no."
"Your loss," Dean shrugged, turning his attention back to driving. The car was quiet for a few minutes.
"So, what's in the black-mail folder?" Sam asked after a bit. Dean smirked at his brother.
"You'll find out," He said, ominously, "Next time I want something, you'll find out."
Sam decided in that moment that he did not want to find out what was in Dean's black mail folder. As the bunker came into view, Castiel reached over and shook the shoulders of the sleeping pair next to him.
"Jack, Marty, we're here," Cas urged, gently. Jack eye's opened and he blinked the tiredness from them, his neck was stiff, so he stretched it out. Marty, however, did not wake nearly as easily.
"Martina." Cas shook her shoulder again.
"Hmm?"
"Wake up."
"Five more minutes." She murmured. Jack chuckled at her antics.
"Marty, wake up. We're home." Marty's big grey eyes fluttered open and she turned her head to look up at Jack.
"Home?" She sighed.
"Yeah, home," Jack said. Marty sat up and yawned, stretching her arms and rubbing her eyes.
"Home sounds pretty good."
~What story should I tell? Will it end happy? Will it turn out well? What dreams do I own? Can I call any place my home?
And I rock myself to sleep And I tell myself "Don't fall to deep" Cause I know by now You're not comin' for me
And I tell myself "Move along" And I tell myself "You were all wrong" But I know by now Wrong was right for me
I'll sleep peacefully~

2. Cooking headcanon
Jonathan “Breakfast Boy” Byers is the better cook, having cooked for his family for years. I go a little bit back and forth on Nancy, I don’t think cooking would be something she’s particularly into, her mom is always in the kitchen and maybe she might’ve had a phase when she was little where she liked to help out in the kitchen but think she outgrew that and so isn’t used to cook much at home, though she’s not an idiot of course and knows her way around a kitchen she’s not a spectacular cook. She might like baking more? Since that’s a bit more precise and exact “science”, you can follow a recipe exactly while cooking you generally wing it more, and I can see Nancy liking to do things like that, exact and precise. I think Jonathan likes cooking more than Nancy does and therefore is the one to cook more often, but also Nancy enjoys cooking with Jonathan more than on her own.
3. Sleeping headcanon
Jonathan Byers is the comfiest pillow in the world. That’s what Nancy firmly believes, I believe. We see in s1 Jonathan turn onto his side/tummy when sleeping. My hc for their sleeping position together is not set in stone, I lean towards Jonathan sleeping on his back but kind of turned towards his side and Nancy sleeping with her head tucked into the crook of his neck or on his chest, her arm slung across him holding him and his wrapped around her, I like them nestled close like that, at least in times of comfort. Can also see them both like sleeping on their side, heads turned to each other and like as close together as they can be without actually being on top of one another, and limbs all entangled. Can also see them spooning.
4. Driving headcanon
Jury’s still out on whether Nancy has her license or not. I hc that she does but that she prefers letting Jonathan drive, she feels completely safe with him at the wheel and he’s had more driving experience while she’s a bit unsure perhaps. Kind of feel like driver’s ed could’ve been a thing Nancy struggled with, which I kind of like? Like with her straight A’s in school and studious smart mind can kind of see her having a weak spot like that, and her problem not being to learn traffic rules or anything like that but rather speeding and being to antsy a driver. I hc like with cooking that this is a thing where it’s something they both can do but Jonathan is a bit better at it and also likes to do it more than Nancy does and so she’s happy to let him take the wheel.

6. Hugging headcanon
Answered! (Mostly for Nancy but Jonathan is just the same, they’re huggy huggy huggy).
7. Kissing headcanon
Tumblr media
Headcanon: They’re really really good at it okay? For real though that amazing passionate hungry kiss/makeout/pinnacle of human achievement aside it’s uh…. real nice. They kiss a lot. A lot a lot a lot. Jonathan just finds it really hard not to kiss those lips I mean look at them. And Nancy finds that Jonathan is a natural and is just shook by him kissing her like that I mean jesus christ. Kiss time they see each other in the morning and Nancy will just keep leaving him with little kisses throughout the day. Quick pecks and cheek kisses at school as they’re not super big on serious PDA. Oh and darkroom kisses! You better believe they make out in there all the time. And to Nancy’s pleasure it’s often Jonathan initiating it then.

9. General physical contact headcanon
They’re ALWAYS touching okay. If not kissing or hugging just holding hands or arms around the other or cuddled together on a couch or Nancy plopping herself down in his lap. Look at how even before they got together they always stood like needlessly close together for no real reason at times lmao like all that was missing was the final step of physically touching. Also just feeling Nancy’s hand on him is huge for Jonathan. Her caressing his hand after wrapping his palm in s1. And even more so her comforting, strengthening hand on his shoulder as he’s apologizing to Will’s unconscious body in s2, it’s monumental okay. She can always strengthen him just by putting her hand on him.
10. Physical appearance headcanon
Ahem. He’s got large hands okay. Make of that what you will. That’s all I’ll say about that.
11. Wardrobe headcanon
Kind of moot to answer given we’ve seen both their fall/winter wardrobes and in bts pics of s3 filming their summer wardrobes so not much headcanoning left to do here but I’ll say I am in love with it all okay. I rock a strong sweater game myself if I may say so, so much respect to the Sweater King and Queen of Hawkins. Also Nancy looks amazing in her summerdresses. And I’m glad the bts pics of s3 seem to confirm one headcanon I have: Jonathan Byers does not wear shorts.
12. Jewelry headcanon
Another kind of moot to answer (guess these are more aimed for literary characters) we know of Nancy’s ballet necklace and Jonathan not wearing any. Like I wrote into my Christmas fic I can see Nancy getting Jonathan some cool slightly unusual necklace that’s very much him, like something music related. And thinking he looks super cool in it (like Charlie who wears necklaces very well).
13. Nickname headcanon
Always always always the Thumper headcanon started by the eponymous @iamthethumperanon here and used by me in uh, many fics but for instance here. Otherwise there’s always Nance. I don’t like Jon, he doesn’t feel like a Jon he feels like a Jonathan. And lmao I’m still very pleased with the phone nicknames I gave them in the modern AU sexting fic I did, Nancypants and Jon-Jon aka Thumper. I like him calling her Nancypants sometimes lol and she always lightly smacking him on the arm when he does.
14. Dancing headcanon
Jonathan’s not a dancer. But he’s also not one to say no to Nancy Wheeler. Still mourn we didn’t get more than the iconic look at the Snow Ball come on Nancy could dance with Dustin for one or a few songs but then we needed Jonathan sliding up with “Mind if I cut in?”. Hell I hc that they danced on their own afterwards instead. If Nancy puts on some music in private and beckons for his hand he’s never one to turn her down
15. Singing headcanon
Answered!
16. Anger headcanon
At each other? No. Apart from the fight in the woods and getting huffy over their pent up feelings in the motel room they’re sweetie pies to each other all the time. They have playful banter but it’s not meanspirited in the slightest. I think what would infuriate Nancy the most about Jonathan would be if he kept putting himself and his own needs last, always prioritizing taking care of others above himself. But she wouldn’t get angry at him for it because it’s not something to have anger about, but she’d try to make him see it’s okay to think about himself too. Sure they’d have a fight eventually like all couples but they don’t walk around are meanspirited and angry at each other all the time. And on the other side of the coin, quickest way to poke Nancy or Jonathan’s berserk button is of course to endanger the ones they love. Jonathan beats the shit out of Steve in the alley because of what Steve spews out about Will and Joyce, but with where his and Nancy’s relationship is now, insulting Nancy like that would provoke the same reaction.
17. Soft spot headcanon
Not sure what this one means but uh… Jonathan has a soft spot for everything Nancy does and vice versa? Idk.
18. Favorite possession headcanon
Answered for Nancy here! For Jonathan it’s the camera Nancy gives him in s1.
19. Favorite photograph headcanon
Oh boy. Probably as of yet untaken in canon. Think Jonathan’s favorite photo would definitely be one he takes of Nancy sometime, or one of Nancy together with Will and Joyce.
20. Relationship with/thoughts on _____ headcanon
Music. They overlap more than some might think. We’ve gotten a lot in canon on Jonathan’s music taste (The Clash, Bowie, Joy Division, Television, Talking Heads, The Smiths) gives a pretty clear picture. For Nancy we have the Blondie thing on her wall and Africa by Toto playing in her room in s1 (as I recall it was diegetic music at least? Right?). I hc that Nancy listens to pop, would love Madonna for instance, but also likes new wave and stuff like it and I think Jonathan with his tastes would like new wave too so they’d meet there and I hc Nancy liking Bowie too. She broadens her tastes a little through Jonathan (what did they listen to in the car on the way to Murray?) and she likewise influences him, getting him to open up a bit more to some more poppier stuff (at first tolerating it in his car then discreetly bopping along and finally admitting he likes some of it). And ofc she loves to tease him like she did in the hallway scene and Sassy Boy Byers teases her right back.
