Jaden, how are you holding that

While searching around, I recently came upon a Youtube channel that featured promo videos and a podcast that has some really interesting stuff involving the behind the scenes of working at 4Kids. There were also some interesting tidbits from some of the comments too.

For example, thanks to the comments, I've found out that Mollie Weaver (Renee in Mew Mew Power) is now part of an indie band called MIHI NIHIL, where she goes under the name Mihi Vox.

This channel seems to have gone under the radar when it definitely needs some more recognition.

Lineups and outfit ideas for my TMNT x USAGI mega-crossover! Pt 1!

Heyo! so this was done a while ago (summer and a bit of autumn) but I wasn't in the mood to post it yet as I was very busy this past year.

Here we have: Gen, Chizu, Kitsune and Usagi in undercover outfit ideas for when they find themselves in New York city in 2023, where they're found out by a few strange older turtles... and some of the 2003 cast from 2023! Don't worry, I have another sheet for Mikey and Donnie, they are not absent from this crossover :)

you ever watch an anime or cartoon from the 4kids era of dubbing, and just . . . . try to pick out all the weird censorship choices? Odd colours? "Jelly Donuts"? Signs that have been changed to either blank rectangles or poorly photoshopped pictograms made in MS Paint? Sailor Moon's "cousins"? The random pauses and flashes to cover people slapping each other? All the AGGRESSIVE POINTING people do, because heaven forbid we have guns in children's media - meanwhile there's souls being sent to the Shadow Realm, people being stuck in traumatic death traps, and the very fabric of reality being torn asunder. But at least we never saw a hand-gun in cartoon format! That’s what would have scarred the kiddies for life and turned them into degenerates, cartoon firearms.

My personal favourite is anytime they try to erase cleavage, and all they do is get rid of the boob line. Now, when I look at 4kids era anime, I think these poor women have some kind of defect, where their breasts grew in fused during puberty. Instead of regular boobs, they just have one monster boob with two nipples or something. That's why so many well-endowed women were villains in 4kids era - the bad guys paid better and they needed expensive surgery.

i should definitely be studying right now so naturally here i am, darcyposting <3. darcy is just such a fascinating character to me because she's so incredibly dynamic and you never really know where you've got her.

darcy exhibits vulnerability and sensitivity that is not often seen in the other trix at all. like, darcy is incredibly scared of losing face, especially in front of her sisters. we know she deals with control issues, and these differ from icy's control issues in the sense that darcy isn't shown to get angry when she loses control, but rather panic-stricken. this feels like a dead giveaway of a much more emotional personality, it's rather a fear of slipping up than a need for power. there's just always the sense that there's something she's repressing. while she appears extremely aloof and cold, she is not immune to the pain of love or heartbreak. her feelings for riven make her slip up and walk into traps she usually wouldn't, it makes her irrational. contrast this with icy, who only really loses her rationality when she's losing a battle or something. in her relationship with riven her feelings for him were shown to be genuine (at least initially) and they surprised and embarrassed her, just as much as they surprised her sisters.

beyond all of this she also displays a deep sense of introspection and self-reflection. she questions her own motives and actions, and is not one to simply follow orders without understanding the reasons behind them. when she and her sisters are stuck at light rock she seems pretty content to be there. there's just constantly the sense that darcy could have chosen a different path, she could have changed. at times i feel as if though the writers were playing with the idea of making her an anti-hero rather than a full-blooded villain. she's got so much depth of character that simply lacks in almost every other villains of other series.

poor delia tbh. she’s such a pleasant and interesting character but the only three topics people usually bring up with her is “ha ha shes fucking professor oak”, “ha ha shes fucking mr mime”, or “she fucking hates her son and wants him to leave forever” and like theyre all jokes but people say them so much that some genuinely believe theres a level of canon there

LMAO so funny thing is everyone knows the whole Sonic and Shadow looking alike thing is total bullshit and I totally agree those comments they try to pull in the games and show(s? I'm not technically a Sonic fan I dunno if it's multiple) make basically no sense to me but then my Mom comes in while watching Sonic Prime and says "So what, Sonic has a brother or something?" and this whole other world has opened up to me and I've seen the truth of it all

How old were y'all when you found out the Shadow Realm in Yu-Gi-Oh doesn't exist, and that 4Kids made it up? I feel like I was too old (already well into high school when I first heard) and I'm embarrassed jkhfjkgh
