‘’Was the blindfold really necessary?’’ Xavier asked, his voice tinged with curiosity as he let you lead him through the dimly lit corridors of the academy.
‘’Yes.’’
The second you tied the blindfold, the birthday boy knew you had planned a surprise and lied about it. He wasn’t mad though. Your surprises were always…surprising.
‘’If I didn’t know you well enough, I would think you’re going to murder me,’’ he said with a soft chuckle, the sound echoing through the empty corridor.
‘’If I were to murder you, I would not be holding your hand. Only a fool would leave fingerprints on their victim’s body.’’
Guiding him forward, you soon came to a halt as you reached a staircase.
‘’Careful, there’s stairs. Thirty-five of them, to be precise,’’ you cautioned.
‘’Stairs?’’ Xavier repeated, his eyes widening behind the black blindfold. ‘’Now I’m having doubts on the whole murder thing…’’

‘’Tonight is a full moon,’’ you stated.
Xavier cocked an eyebrow. ‘’Ohh, is it?’’ He lifted his eyes at the sky, seeing the bright moon. ‘’That’s pretty.’’
Simple things are often better than grandiose gestures. Which was why you decided to go for something small and intimate — sharing a cupcake on the rooftop under a full moon — instead of a surprise party. You were together and nothing else mattered.
Xavier dipped his finger in the frosting and, while your attention was on the sky, he smeared it on your cheek.
‘’Xavier!’’ you gasped, turning your attention to him.

The moment you heard that Wednesday had her accusatory finger set on Xavier, you ran to his dorm to warn him. You had to get him into safety. You had to take him to a place where she — and the police — wouldn’t find him.
Out of breath from sprinting across the academy, you banged on his door, not caring about getting caught in the boys' dormitories. His neighbors probably hated you at the moment.
When the door opened, you didn't let Xavier place a word. ‘’You gotta get out of here. Wednesday went to Sheriff Galpin’s office and she has all these evidences pointing at you.’’

the flowers are just starting to peek through the snow and show their colours and there’s fairy lights strung up in the trees that cast a pleasant glow all around
you two walk through the gardens holding hands and jumping from topic to topic
eventually the two of you leave and go home to spend time with boots
it’s still snowy around this time and there’s little flurries coming down outside
so the two of you make warm cups of cocoa (with a splash of milk if you get me ;) think his christmas stream) pile on the warm blankets and put on treasure planet in the background
by the time dinner rolls around you’re both comfortably warm and relaxed and slightly intoxicated (unless u don’t drink of course)
so making dinner is a trip
you guys make classic pasta :)
sharing a plate lady and the tramp style 🥺
and soon enough it’s late and you two are huddled close under the comforter of your bed sharing heartbreakingly sweet kisses and words as you slowly fall asleep

now tommy’s not the best at romance
but! he does try for valentine’s day

and make these odd food mixes out of valentines themed foods

the two of you also decide to binge watch the narnia series towards the afternoon
tommy’s parents had gone out on their own date night so you two had free reign over the kitchen
you guys attempted to make pasta but it ended up over cooked and the sauce tasted odd and it was generally not the best
so you guys decided macaroni and cheese was the next best option
so the two of you dressed up all nice like you were going to originally on your dinner date
and ate mac and cheese while sitting on the living room floor laughing your asses off over the stupidest things
in the middle of washing dishes he starts to hum a song under his breath
and you join him
and soon enough the two of you are dancing around the kitchen together
like those cheesy highschool dance scenes
the two of you change and cuddle in his room, eventually passing out all smushed together and perfectly content

PALENTINES!!!!!

the day of valentines you guys go buy a metric buttload of discount candy as well as other snacks before retreating to one of your houses
you both watch tons of stupid hallmark movies before moving on to horror movies
the two of you adore a good scare so the lights are all off, shades closed and curtains drawn while movies like the conjuring series and saw play for hours
by the time dinner rolls around the both of you are thoroughly terrified with minor stomach aches from the candy
so dinner consists of plenty of water and some soup before you both retreat back to where you were watching movies to watch a number of superhero movies or the office or smth
you two always end up passed out sprawled over each others laps by 3 am and if you’re parents notice how tight you guys hold eachother after the terror filled movies you watched
well
they never say a thing :)

platonic date w/ tubbo
warnings: like one cuss at the beginning
“c’mon, hurry up slow ass!” You are currently dragging Tubbo down the street by his hand, practically vibrating with excitement. The two of you hadn’t seen each other in ages and decided that since you were both free this weekend you would go on a platonic date to this cute cafe near your house to get tea and something sweet. The poor boy is stumbling behind you in an attempt to keep up with your over-enthusiastic pace.
“i’m hurrying, i’m hurrying! its not my fault you're unnecessarily fast- umph!” He abruptly cuts off by slamming into your back as you skid to a stop in front of the shop. You turn to flash him a giddy grin and gently tug him into the cute little place.
you’re both immediately hit with the sweet smell of baking cake and brewing tea as you enter the door. pushing Tubbo to go take a seat you quickly order a drink for the both of you as well as a slice of strawberry cake to share. carefully balancing the drinks and plate in your arms, you spot Tubbo seated in the corner of the cafe. you plop down into the comfortable purple chair as you slide the drinks and cake onto the table.
“bone apple teeth my dear friend!” you laugh into your tea of choice as he shoots you an odd look, taking a sip of his raspberry tea. His eyes light up at the taste of the sweet beverage, taking a bigger drink from the glass.
a snort escapes you as he chokes on a piece of ice, and you snap a picture of him once you're sure he's not actually dying.
“real slick genius” “oh shut up, don't forget you trip on literal air”
the friendly banter continues while you share the slice of cake, idly chatting about whatnot. at some point tubbo insists on the two of you feeding each other some of the cake, and after several minutes of pleading and puppy eyes you finally relent. in the midst of taking the bite, you hear tubbo’s phone camera go off and snap your head up with a scandalized look
“YOU BASTARD-” you choke out as he shoves the bite of cake into your mouth, giggling all the while. eventually the cake and tea are finished and the two of you get up to leave the cafe. as you approach the door, you overhear a woman speaking to her husband.
“look at the cute couple hon, reminds me of us in highschool” a thought immediately shoots into your head and you give an odd look to the woman before turning and loudly announcing to tubbo “geez bro, that woman over there thinks we’re a,,, a couple” *cure dramatic fake gagging*
the two of you meet eyes and you can see tubbo fighting back the laughter as you walk out the door. the second the click of the latch is heard behind you you breakdown into laughter, crouched down and holding your stomaches while tears come to your eyes. you both head on your way to the beach while still giggling like crazy, slowing down only to pipe back up as you compare each other to ugly pieces of rock stuck into the sand.
honestly, you couldn't ask for a better day with your friend.
