this man was my very first OC. i made him when i was like. 11 maybe? 12? 2002ish. his name was Zero n he was Just Some Guy that magical anime shit kinda. just. kept happening to. sometime around 2011 i fully revamped him, then gave him another update around 2017, and now here he is my darling baby boy.

i decided to keep the name zero as part of his backstory, so now it was a thing where he was bullied in middle school but uhh super ineffectively? like they literally just called him zero as an insult bc its a rural middle school in the 90s they're not exactly the most creative bunch. it still hurt his feelings tho until he met his bestie travis who gave him some lame 9 yr old speech abt how ~technically~ zero comes before one so if u think abt it ur actually uhhh better than all of them. bc they can claim to be number 1 all they want but 0 yeah u get it. zac adopted zero as an unironic nickname up until they graduated and even a little past that and he's embarrassed abt it.

zac and trav are still best friends!! and roommates. travis does remote clerical work and writes vampire novels by night and zac works at a zoo! they tell him his job title is zookeeper to make him feel better but really he's more of a janitor.. he cleans a lot of pens. his primary assignment is the camel herd and he doesnt play favorites but cindy (named after cindy crawford) is his favorite.

his hoodie here is one i drew him in way back in hs!! (MAN i wish i still had the old art from 2007 weh) it's a reference to the song Yeah Toast by Heywood Banks which was Big among teenagers in smalltown Michigan back then lmaooooo

Forgot how much I liked this guy… and wanted to play around with the lasso fill on ibis again, don’t use it a whole lot but it’s a lotta fun to get these kinda lines! Wish procreate had a similar option lol

If Ashley's children traveled back in time and met their future parents, what would their reaction be? Why do I feel like Ashley would be quite "sassy" with Gabriel about this revelation?

So much confusion initially- Gabriel’s doing the math and nothing is adding up

“But- I can’t even- how???”

“Demon.”

“Yeah thanks for that by the way mom—“

“….ohhhhhhhhh.”

After- explaining the entire situation, Gabriel would be excitedly asking his kids questions while- also struggling to be a dad as well. Ashley’s vibing- was pretty shocked she ended up having kids, but it’s some reassurance to her that Gabe stuck around long enough for them to even happen. She’d probably ask Lilith if she’s a good mom, or at least a better one than hers.

After the kids head back to their time (I’m thinking the good ol’ reliable demon magic is how), there’s just this quiet awkwardness and then—

“….soooo….three kids?”

“Are we really that surprised?”

“Not really….totally unrelated note, but would it be cool if I summoned the demon super quick?”
