Mentioned posting a WIP so here we go! It’s a Six at the Sierra Madre piece

First was this concept sketch I doodled in MSPaint when I should’ve been doing lab work lmao. I listened to Begin Again for the first time and it gave me the visual of Six kneeling at the central fountain in the Villa, resting his head against the fountain head as he listened to the old hologram of Vera singing. Drew this so I wouldn’t forget.

I took the initial MSPaint sketch and moved it onto a layer in Procreate. I sketched this out to play with the perspective, landing on wanting something birds-eye-esque. I didn’t get the perspective quite right wrt Six’s placement on the fountain, but I did note that I wanted him to be hugging the edge of the fountain, even if that didn’t correlate to its canon size, because I wanted the imagery of being held in a cradle.

I went and found a few free pose websites and played around with the base dolls until I got something that fit the perspective and the body wasn’t clipping at weird points. Did a trace over of Six and it all looked good, resketched the fountain, felt good about it, but felt like I could add more.

So I added in these two panels, thinking of the last two notes in the song. There’s a finality to it that I like that I wanted to mimic.

And that’s it! Just gotta actually take the sketch and make the piece over it. I wish I still had a working tablet, I can only do so much on my phone with my fat fucking fingers & Procreate 😭

So Starstruck Odyssey grabbed me by the throat and rocketed it’s way to second place campaign for me (TUC still has first in my heart ❤️) but uhm. Can you tell who my favorite character is. It’s definitely not Skip I promise why would you think that-

I’m a multishipper not just because-#-I like many ships. but I also like exploring multiple dynamics for the same ship instead of focusing on one uniform way to ship them whevdj #tl;dr Skip has a daddy kink ANYWAY-#but ye like. the idea that Skip had a lot of burden & trauma from his father and Norman strongly desiring to be a father himself but never-#-being able to become that. I think those facts seperately lend themselves to at least a familial dynamic between the two.#more unrelated thoughts ahead:#Norman literally had his autonomy snatched from him for some time and like. whether or not you feel he deserved it that’s still a fact. and-#-it was due to Skip. for reasons that aren’t inherently 100% Skip’s fault; House Frangus obviously only saw hosts as bodies to be used and-#-controlled by them. Skip wasn’t taught that there was any other way. he learns at the end that there is (bcus it did seem like Skip was-#-initially thinking of just. leaving Norman forever before gnosis showed him and norm other possibilities).#and Zac playing Norman showed Norman inviting Skip back into his body. whether that’s because narratively Zac didn’t want to cause a #fat fucking thumbs. - didn’t want to cause drama in their finale episode or he thought somewhere in Norman’s character that was a fitting-#decision that he would make interests me. due to skip Norman: had his autonomy stripped from him; had essentially a lobotomy; was-#-re-confronted with a traumatic event due to said lobotomy; experienced a shit ton of pain that went unaddressed due to skip not having his-#-pain receptors on; and was abandoned by skip during the final battle after taking a huge chunk of damage and having to be confronted with-#-the violent outcome of All He Missed and being told to Deal With It NOW #and Norman saw skip at the end and invited him back into his body. was there a fondness for Skip there? did he feel pressured because he-#-knows what the crew had done to him before to ensure skip had total control? if Norman wanted to leave would he? could he? or will he-#-only ever be a puppet for the Wurst? a body for Skip? can we get an Ounce of insight into this in ASO season 2 I’m begging #maybe Norman just resigned himself to the idea that Skip was Better than him. that they only had the success they had because he was forced-#-to take a backseat instead of being the Captain; the Leader.#which isn’t exactly wrong. but it is a devastating thing to have to be confronted with; you were not needed and you never will be. the best-#-thing you will always be is a puppet or a pawn in someone else’s schemes. oh shit the comparison to gust wrt that…….. uh oh #anyway give Norman a therapist in season 2.
