so now we know that Obi Wan's rapid aging had nothing to do with being on Tatooine for 20 years and was because he spent a day with ten year old Leia Organa

You know, technically, Ahsoka should be Mand'alor. The title - and saber - are passed through trial by combat, and as of the Lawless arc in CW Maul was technically the Mand'alor. If any Mandalorian had been capable of rightfully claiming the darksaber from him, they wouldn't have needed Ahsoka to come deal with him. And this little girl kicked his butt so hard, and at least temporarily saved Mandalore. Following this trail of ruling, by Mandalorian tradition, Ahsoka Tano should be Mand'alor.
And now you could argue that she didn't kill Maul, therefore she's disqualified, but that would simply lead the trail of rightful Mand'alor to Obi-Wan. Or you could argue that any and all claims after Jango are illegitimate - despite being disowned by his people - which would lead to Mace. And both of those trails would lead to that final Death Star confrontation, and to Luke.
Do with this information as you will

The Force is such an interesting concept. I like the way Matt Stover describes it in his version of Revenge of the Sith.
It flows like water, changing to fit differently for each person. I think it opens a lot of both fluff and angst abilities (wink).
Ahsoka and Anakin are so similar it reflects in their force signatures. They are both raging storms of potential and emotions but Anakin far surpasses her. His will of the force is fueled by fear and anger, like a hurricane. Ahsoka's is a far calmer storm, one more driven by wanting to do more, to BE more.
If you don't know either of them well, you wouldn't be able to tell them apart. Obi-Wan still messes it up.
On days he needs to find Anakin for a meeting with a council, he'll reach out into the force and look for the storm and let it lead him to Anakin. But when he gets there he's met with an upset Ahsoka.
Or
Plo Koon searches for Ahsoka, and he feels the calm storm growing closer. Only to turn and become face-to-face with Anakin returning from a meeting with Senator Amidala.
I just think force signatures are neat.

Rex complains when his jedi throws him off a cliff but Cody would not complain he thinks that's a good time. Also remember his little 'heh' at Vos's dramatic entrance. He loves that shit
Cody has tricked people into thinking he's sensible! He doesn't even pretend! Like Obi-Wan rebukes Anakin for jumping out of a speeder in traffic five minutes after jumping out of a window. Obi-Wan is embarrassed he's an action Jedi, Cody isn't. Cody thinks it's cool.
People sort of project Jedi personalities onto the clones serving under them. Like Anakin and Obi-Wan sass each other at some point about Rex being reckless and Cody being boring but they were insulting each other and not referring to Cody and Rex's personalities at all.
Probably Obi-Wan, used to working with Anakin is like: wow Cody is so solid and reliable, look at him taking cover before rushing into that pit of droids.
And Anakin is used to Obi-Wan's lectures so when Rex politely points out potential flaws Anakin is like: yes! Rex gets it! Rex is down with my insane plans!

Today was really shit mental health-wise, but just something small that made it a bit better was having my parents come over with their dogs and having my mum call me "Mark" with no slip ups and my dad getting my pronouns right. Idk, it just meant a lot.

À la carte is a masterpiece from begin to end and is not just my favourite of your fics but also in my top 5 favourites of all time. I love everything about it but your Anakin in this AU is everything, like his antics and dialogue actually made me laugh while reading which has never happened to me before! Thank you for all your fics and contributions to fandom 🥰
That's so kind of you to say 😭 That Anakin is such a mess but I like to think a cute mess! He really does mean well and he is trying his best to make Obi-Wan happy and for some reason, he does! Fortunately Obi-Wan's type is extremely clever men who give the impression that they've never actually participated in a conversation before now. Also, men with cute butts!

The Only Important Rule To Remember:
When there are only two characters remaining, they will face off against one another in a week-long poll to determine the victor.
Bye-bye Benny! You brought the drama, you brought the chaos! I want to give a big shout-out to the passionate and lovely Kylo Ren fans who campaigned so hard for their boy. You got him to bronze, and with how divisive Ben/Kylo is as a character, that's really impressive.
Now... without further ado...
This.
Is.
It.
It all comes down to a simple decision. A choice between two men, both of whom gave their lives to bring down The Empire.
Will the winner be Obi-Wan Kenobi?
Tumblr media
Or will it be Cassian Andor?
Tumblr media
Cast your votes for the last time to decide, once and for all... who is the hottest Star Wars man of all time?
...oh, but remember, this is all just for fun! So don't take it too seriously ;)
Happy voting, and may the hottest man win!

The “What if Dooku Trains Obi-Wan instead of Qui-Gon AU” is genuinely precious to me and I think they would thrive.
Still, can you imagine how much initial adjustment it take be for Obi-Wan “Qui-Gon Isn’t Following The Rules and It’s Giving Me a Stomach Ache” Kenobi to be trained by the guy Qui-Gon learned that from?
A typical Master Dooku mission canon example from Dooku: Jedi Lost
Dooku: the mission is called Space Nascar and we have to do a shot everytime someone pisses me off Dooku: see the Council assigns me these sorts of elbow-rubbing rich people event missions because of my “good” “stable” personality Dooku: for example I’ve almost gotten in two separate fights and we’ve been here five minutes Dooku: Now let’s go steal a speeder, I just Force-threw a cop
Qui-Gon is rattled by this. QUI-GON JINN.
On the other hand, Obi-Wan’s existing partnerships prove he’s able to thrive under chaos. Dooku, for all his faults, seems to have the singular ability as a Master to produce incredibly self-confident students. He’s repeatedly established as someone who genuinely loves teaching and is a natural at it, who is at their best when part of a Master Padawan partnership - which seemed to be a struggle for Qui-Gon. Ultimately he and Obi-Wan built a loving, successful partnership, but in every timeline it seems to have been initially rocky and took years to flourish. The difference in Obi-Wan having a Master who is tremendously engaged and invested in him from the get-go, but also deeply chaotic?
Makashi Chaos Monster Obi-Wan. Oh no, he’s a duelist just like his dad and bitchier than ever! The part of him that is inclined to say things like “Sith Lords are our Specialty” is given room to grow and thrive. His monologues increase tenfold and he has a lightsaber form where they’re built right in. The quips! The amount of leaving a conversation that’s going badly by jumping out a window (pulling a Dooku)!
It’s so beautiful. 🥲

Saw someone's post about Cody repainting his armor gray because of the loss of Obi Wan
Yes, the following may seem harsh to some, but that's my opinion.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Let's start with the fact that gray in Mandoloran language means mourning -> hence it's the sadness and pain of losing people dear to him, BUT it's not just Obi Wan and I even doubt Cody is more worried about him.
Cody lost many brothers during the war and afterward. His world came crashing down the moment of order 66. His brothers are thrown out like unwanted things from the military. They are nobodies in the eyes of others, just a used and broken thing to be thrown away.
He sees the chaos around him and the lawlessness that the Empire is doing on other planets under the false slogan of liberation. But back to his brothers: nobody needs them and the people who were able to protect them (Jedi) are "gone". There is no one to stand up for them and the army is already dominated by civilians rather than clones.
From episode 7 with Wolff, it becomes clear that according to the Empire's official documents, Rex is dead. Who will Cody be mourning for? Obi Wan? Most likely his younger brother, with whom they fought side by side throughout the war.
So, in my opinion, the gray colors on his armor signify mourning for his brothers, because they were the ones he loved, and they were the ones he lost. He lost those with whom he spent his childhood, training, war.
He was left alone with his pain and so the colors of the warm sunset became gray sadness.

One of the things that was so good was Leia and the Force, that her way isn’t to have lightning fast reflexes because she sees things a moment before they happen or any kind of physical dexterity, but that her way with the Force is that that girl looks at someone and deadass stares right into their fucking soul. She nails her cousin to the wall, almost otherworldly when a calm descends over her and she eviscerates him by exposing his desperate desire to have his father like him, that he just repeats what he’s heard without understanding what it means, she saw into that boy’s soul like it was nothing, this little girl is just as fuckoff power in the Force as her brother is. She does the same with Obi-Wan, she just fucking looks at him and reads him like a book, “You think the less you say, the less you give away, but, really, it's the opposite.” and she doesn’t seem like a ten year old in that moment and I love how weird the Force makes people in particular moments, that you get used to them being feral chaos gremlins or gentle teachers or the whole gamut of personality types, and then there’s a moment where it’s otherworldly and strange and I love that, but also that Leia’s powers are not like her brothers, her way with the Force is entirely her own and the show was so good at showing that.
