I've been going feral with some world building that I plan to use for a number of future fics, and after the loving encouragement of some of the people in a discord I favor, I've decided to write up a big lore drop post. Partly so other people can use said lore and partly so I don't have to reestablish it every time I want to use it for a different fic.
In this universe, Nuzlocke is a way of describing the danger inherent to a region. There are Nuzlocke regions and Union regions. Union regions have leagues that abide by Union standards, varying rules to protect both trainers and their Pokémon.
Nuzlocke regions are characterized by increased odds of death and bodily harm to Pokémon participating in battles, both against trainers and wild Pokémon. The Pokémon in these regions tend to be more dangerous and as a result the trainers tend to be a lot more vicious during fights. Where as trainers in Union regions can trust one another to a certain extent, Nuzlocke trainers cannot trust each other not to permanently harm or cripple their Pokémon and fight according, ironically leading to more injuries.
By contrast, the Union provides a number of different services to Union abiding regions. First and foremost is medical aid, care in Union regions typically far outpacing Nuzlocke regions. Additionally, the Union acts as a separate legal force not associated with the League and as such can prosecute trainers for excessive amounts of force. The Union also helps with controlling and monitoring wild populations of Pokémon. Powerful trainers are sent out to capture exceptionally aggressive Pokémon (raid mons for example!) to remove them from the breeding pool and curate a calmer wild Pokémon population. The Union also helps in population maintenance which is why a trainer can catch as many Pokémon as they please in union regions as opposed to Nuzlocke regions that limit one capture per route to maintain a healthy population of wild Pokémon.
A region doesn't immediately become a Union region when the league joins the Union itself. There's a set of criteria that needs to be met before a region looses its Nuzlocke status, and it's possible for regions to slip back into Nuzlocke status if the league is inattentive. This points out perhaps the biggest difference between Union Champions and Nuzlocke Champions. In Nuzlocke regions there is only ever one champion. They are the end all be all of strength and remain in power until a stronger champion beats them. They hold an immense amount of sway but their rule is de facto. Union regions can have multiple champion "ranked" trainers who receive a number of benefits for their ranking but only have one primary Champion that is the acting leader for the region itself. The goal of these Champions is to act as guides and protectors for their region, and the role can be passed over at any time to another suitable Champion ranked trainer.
For trainers wishing to swap regions that have different classifications there are a number of rules and regulations regarding Pokémon. Nuzlocke caught Pokémon cannot leave a Nuzlocke region without special testing and certifications proving the Pokémon in question isn't a threat and that the trainer knows how to use reasonable force in battles be they wild or trainer. It is possible for trainers moving to Union regions to obtain licenses for force but these are only applicable when used against dangerous wild Pokémon, again such as raid mons.
Both Nuzlocke and Union regions provide licenses for trainers to carry more than six Pokémon at a time, but only a maximum of six Pokémon can ever be used during a singular battle. In Union regions this rule typically only exists for the sake of ride Pokémon or service Pokémon but Nuzlocke trainers have been known to use this rule to keep multiple battle ready teams on their person, especially more powerful trainers.
Region Specific Lore and Worldbuilding
Kanto/Johto: Kanto and Johto due to proximity have remained consistently linked in terms of status, sharing a singular league between the two. During the course of Red and Blue it was still a Nuzlocke region but has long since joined the Union the term only just barely still applied. Immediately after during the time in which Lance was coming into power as champion, the join regions were finally declared officially Union.
Hoenn: Before the Union was officially recognized, Hoenn had a proto-union of sorts due in large part to the existence of contests. Nuzlocke rulings were often contradictory to what contests necessitated and the death of popular contest Pokémon could often cause large scale upset. The transfer to Union ruling was exceptionally easy for Hoenn and it's been Union ever since.
Sinnoh: To this day, Sinnoh is still a Nuzlocke region and you can thank Cynthia for that. She is not actively malicious, but she isn't particularly kind either. She loves her own team but has no special care for other trainers Pokémon which has inspired a similar disposition in the rest of the region. Cynthia has shown no signs of wanting to become a Union regulated region and because of this Sinnoh is something of a safe haven for trainers who prefer Nuzlocke ruling.
Unova: Until recently, Unova was a Nuzlocke region. During Alder's younger days he was a trainer who sought strength, which was encouraged. When he lost his partner it was a wake up call. Between that and the rise of Team Plasma, the region began to shift priorities and during the end of his time as Champion, Alder began the framework to get the region union recognized. By the events of B2W2, the region is already officially Union status having historically been one of the fastest regions to meet the requirements outside of the founders.
Kalos: Kalos has a complicated history due to the actions of Team Flare. While regarded as a Union region for most of the time the Union has existed, the actions of Team Flare managed to cause the region to slip into Nuzlocke classifications temporarily before the region was brought back under control. The awakening of the legends in X and Y caused a surge of more violent and powerful Pokémon that had to be quelled, though the situation was rather quickly rectified.
Alola: Alola itself is a difficult topic due to how young its actual league is. It lacked a champion until very recently and because of that it was also a Nuzlocke region, lacing any Union presence as well. Because of this, Alola is up there as one of the most dangerous regions alongside Sinnoh. Upon receiving a champion the league immediately got to work trying to get the region up to Union standards but it's been a long and slow process as a lot of trainers have been resisting the change.
Galar: Galar is one of the oldest Union regions, having helped to establish the union as a present force. This can especially be seen in the fact that the role of Champion for this region has been split into two, with a powerful active Champion to take care of threats and the role of Chairman filling in for the bureaucratic duties that Champions in other regions would also shoulder.
Paldea: Paldea is a long standing Union region, however, the existence of Paradox Pokémon poses a certain degree of threat. As long as they remain in the great crater then the region as a whole remains up to Union standards and Area Zero can be carefully monitored. If the Paradox Pokémon begin escaping however... Well, Union regions can be reclassified as Nuzlocke if they stop meeting all necessary standards.

Views on the BW Protagonist*
I often think about how Rosa, as a Plasma knight, used to be so scared of the BW protagonist. She didn’t understand why this trainer so adamantly opposed N or fought back so fiercely against what Plasma stood for, like ‘don’t they care about pokémon?’ and when the BW protag stormed N’s Castle for the final battle, ushering the end of everything she’d ever known to be true and sending her and her mother scattering to avoid capture, she was absolutely terrified of them. This person single-handedly shattered her entire world and threatened everything she had ever known to be true, and it was quite the shock. It wasn’t until later, when she learned that she and many others ( N included ) had been misled by Ghetsis, that she started to see the BW protag in a different light.
As she progressed through her journey and learned more about the BW protag through the rest of Unova’s inhabitants—many people recalled her predecessor as a strong, kind, and incredibly brave trainer who had left a positive impression—she came to admire them and even grew fond of them. Toward the end of her journey, she got compared to the BW protag more and more often and it tugged at her heartstrings, even more so when the BW protag’s mother mentioned that she’d like for the two of them to meet.
She longed to meet them… she missed them in a way one misses a close friend, which she shouldn’t have because they’d never met, save for the glimpse she’d caught of them from behind a pillar in N’s room when the BW protag had been in the castle that one fateful day. At the same time, though, she was terrified! Would they ever accept her, would they even want to get to know her, due to her past ties to Team Plasma?
And then, when she finally does meet them ( which is largely dependent on muse timelines ), she feels like she’s found a kindred spirit, like she’s been reunited with a best friend… but one that she’s betrayed in some way. While she’s happy to grow close to them and be in their company, she constantly has that feeling nagging at her in the back of her head. She can’t rest easy until she finally comes clean to them…
…and when she does, if they accept her ( and maybe even forgive her because she’s been working so hard on redeeming herself ), it will be a heavy burden finally lifted off her shoulders.

the nuzlocke virus
crawls up out of the abyss after five hundred years with a weird pokemon post sup hope yall are doing well have my lore explanation for nuzlockes
In most cases, a trainer never once thinks about their ID, the string of numbers that allows the box system and PC to recognise them and allows them access to their stored Pokémon. Usually, it works with no hiccups and no issues.
But sometimes, it doesn’t.
Sometimes, it breaks completely.
This can be evident from the moment the ID is generated, or be caused by a glitch in the system. Whatever the case, this error is known as the Nuzlocke Virus, or more commonly, the Nuz Virus.
Essentially, this error in a trainer’s ID causes it to interpret a fainted Pokémon’s data as nonsense. The Pokémon itself is fine -- there is no actual damage to the Pokémon’s data, but the box system and Trainer ID cannot properly communicate, and as such the PC labels the fainted Pokémon as garbage data. It will prevent the Pokémon from being healed, effectively trapping it in a permanent “fainted” state as long as its trainer’s ID remains bugged.
When a fainted Pokémon is stored in the PC, its ball is flagged as “empty” by the system and therefore prevented from opening at all. Because the ball is marked as empty, all attempts to heal the Pokémon will fail as the ball now considers itself empty, with no Pokémon inside to heal.
Attempting to use said “empty” ball to capture a new Pokémon fails as well. Even though it thinks it contains no Pokémon, there are safeguards in place, independent of the box system and Trainer ID, that prevent a ball with any previous data whatsoever from capturing a Pokémon. This is why you can’t reuse a Poké Ball that failed to capture a target; it’s far better to waste a ball than risk overwriting an existing Pokémon with another.
It should be noted that the Nuz Virus can only affect Pokémon who are 1) owned by an affected ID, and 2) faint. It’s called a “virus” because every Pokémon owned by a bugged ID is basically “infected”; they may not ever have the effect activate, but the potential is there.
Contrary to some belief, the Nuz Virus cannot spread to other IDs, even if a trade is successfully managed. In some cases, the ID is only partially scrambled which allows the Trade System -- which works semi-independently of the PC -- to recognise enough data to facilitate a trade.
The moment a traded Pokémon’s ID updates, it acts exactly as is expected. It can be traded and revived normally, with no ill effects.
However, this does mean that any Pokémon traded to a Nuz Virus ID will also have its Trainer ID updated, and be affected by the bug.
Nuz Virus IDs can be patched, but each one requires multiple data points in order to pinpoint the error -- that is, it requires multiple Pokémon to faint. This is often frowned upon, as even though the affected Pokémon remained unharmed, it can be stressful to be trapped in such a way. There is often no clear “right” answer in this situation, as most trainers find out that they have a bugged ID when their first Pokémon faints.
The question becomes: push on and succeed despite this limitation and the potential judgement of everyone around you in order to find a patch... or simply stop, give up on your dreams, and effectively abandon that first partner?

hey tapestry what do you mean nuzlocke.
Oh boy, where to begin.
Nuzlockes are a challenge some trainers impose on themselves to make their journeys more challenging. The most common rules are:
You may only capture the first Pokemon you encounter on a route.
You must give a name to every Pokemon you catch.
Never use Pokemon Centers.
If a Pokemon is knocked out in battle, it's considered good as dead, and must be released.
I'm sure you can see the problem. Not only should you never, ever not heal your Pokemon if they need it, not only is forcibly releasing Pokemon that care about you a cruel thing to do, at least in my opinion, but releasing a Pokemon that's completely drained, without making any effort to heal them, is very often a death sentence for them.
As you can imagine, they are illegal in most places, including here in Ferrum. Unfortunately, this isn't enough to stop some people, who create undeground battle rings, where everyone is bound by nuzlocke rules. Fights in these rings often push Pokemon beyond their limits, and not in a good way, often resulting in death for some of the competing Pokemon, whether that be in the ring, or from being released on the verge of death after losing.
Nuzlockes are a horrifically cruel thing to do to Pokemon, and if anyone reading this is considering doing one, please, I beg you, do not. Pokemon aren't toys to be discarded when they disappoint you, they're wonderful living creatures that we share the world with, and their lives should not be thrown away.
My apologies for the rant, but I hope this has been informative.

Of course Hilbert mourned the Pokemon he lost. Even the ones he lost early on in his adventure. While he didn’t have a lot of time to get to know Jay, Zero, Gabriel or Derek, he still gave himself time to properly mourn their deaths before moving on.
Tumblr media
But losing Jude was different. Between how long Jude had been in the team and how he fell (in Dragonspiral Tower, while Hilbert and company fought off Team Plasma), his was the first loss to actually hurt.

someone liked one of my TOH headcanon posts from earlier this year and it reminded me about the specific headcanons i have for exactly what types of games the hexsquad plays and how they play them.
luz is obv an RPG fantasy fan. anything with a juicy story and a character creator and complex lore she’ll love. she definitely plays series like elder scrolls and baldur’s gate and final fantasy. she also plays final fantasy 14 and has her character as the good witch luzura and she isnt good at playing it like an mmo is supposed to be played but she loves the story. when endwalker came out luz couldnt stop sobbing to the point that camila was actually worried about her. also enjoys roguelikes such as hades or binding of isaac even if she can only play for so long before getting too frustrated. she also 100% plays genshin impact and gets into arguments online with other genshin fans.
amity is a fighting game girl. she is highly competitive and practices combos with her eyes shut. she prefers the tekken series but when luz wants to play with her they play guilty gear bcus luz likes it’s art style the most. she also likes fantasy RPGs but is way more picky about which ones she plays. she likes fire emblem. she also plays ff14 with luz and is actually good at the game (she carries luz sometimes) but isnt a huge fan of MMOs. she also is the one in the friend group with the NASA ass PC rig with a custom case and the most organized wiring you’ve ever seen with the lcd screen on the liquid cooled cpu and the azura figurine inside the case. she also does custom wraps for all her consoles.
hunter likes games that are very much like, micromanagement sims. like civ5 or cities skylines or factorio (i dont know anything about it but ive been assured by my sister that hunter plays modded factorio) but he’s also a fan of like, old school FPS games like doom and half life. i can see him doing speedruns of those games. (also he 100% once got addicted to some game like fuckin. galactic pinball or something to the point where he was staying up all night and not sleeping so he could play more pinball. in order to get him to stop playing so much and actually get some sleep, gus used illusions to make hunter think he was hallucinating about pinball and scared him into not looking at a single screen or monitor for like three weeks.)
gus is a very chill gamer but he likes games that he can sink hours and hours into. instead of playing a wide variety of games he has a select few that he dedicates his time into learning every last mechanic, but there’s also some games he just plays casually. like with pokemon games he’ll put hundreds of hours into them and carefully curate his team and does like nuzlocke runs but when he plays on his and willow’s shared-custody new horizons island he’ll just walk around and catch bugs and shit and not really worry about upgrading his house and make matching fits with his favorite villager.
willow prefers cozy games, like slime rancher or stardew valley or the aforementioned shared new horizons island, but she’s also a fucking menace about them. like she goes HARD on the min-maxing and automation and shit. while gus is wandering around their island catching fish, willow’s busy rearranging her fully upgraded mansion up in the hills and harassing any villagers she doesnt like with nets and deciding what hybrids to plant in front of her bell trees (she only has bell trees for the aesthetic. gus isnt allowed to harvest them) she would also be running the most high profit slime ranch ever but the way she treats her slimes makes hunter upset whenever he sees her just fuckin throwing them off a cliff the second they arent useful to her anymore. (meanwhile hunter names each one of his slimes and always feeds them their favorite foods and cried over casey & beatrix)
vee enjoys survival/strategic horror games, like DBD, resident evil, deadspace, or even FNAF. she’s the type of person to see the goriest most violent death in a video game ever and just go “ew yucky” then carry on. masha and her are often playing DBD together while in a call and are the most annoying pair of suvivors ever. she also likes games such as original katamari and pikmin 1 and chulip. she's also the undefeated DDR champion of the friend group.
and of COURSE they all play video games together. they all have a terraria world they play on together where they all are focused on their own little projects while still working together and are slowly building up their own village/mansion/castle/fort but luz keeps rushing ahead of everyone just bcus she's so excited and she definitely somehow ends up summoning the wall of flesh accidentally
they DID have a modded minecraft world for a few months with both tech mods and magic mods but while hunter, amity, and vee all focused on their factories and computers and technology, gus, willow, and luz fucked around with all the crazy magic and accidentally found out by blowing up a factory. this is where heightened tension between the the warlocks & the scientists began. this spark eventually turned into a full fledged war that lasted two months before it ended in mutually assured destruction to the point where no one could actually load into the server without their game crashing.
bonus: camila isnt much of a gamer with one exception-- when she was in college manny introduced her to WoW and got her hooked. it was Their Game that they played together all the time. they made cosplays of their characters together. they had several dates in game. they optimized their characters to perfect compliment one another when they ran dungeons with their guild. even since manny passed camila still plays every so often and keeps in touch with their guild members. for the longest time luz has 0 idea that camila plays WoW at all and only finds out after the whole secret nerd confession.

So something I've realized recently is that I tend to massively overlevel my Pokemon while playing, and as such I usually steamroll my way through every battle. Can I request Nemona from Scarlet and Violet with an S/O who usually ends every battle in just one hit? Like how would she react to having a partner/rival who is just that strong of a trainer?
S/O Ending Battles with One Hit
Fandom: Pokemon: Scarlet/Violet
Characters: Nemona
Type of Request: Headcanons
Notes: The amount of grinding I did to be able to do some of the outpost thingies and titans before getting to the area that was obviously for beginners and just annihilating them >.<
Thank god the Pokemon games don’t take in the Nuzlocke lore cause I would cry if I ended up killing pokemon cause mine are too strong.
Tumblr media
Nemona
Can’t help but wince when she sees how easily you defeat a trainer in battle. Just imagining the power difference between your pokemon and their’s causes her to feel bad. Also hopes their pokemon is okay because that was a really strong hit.
She’s a champion so she has her own super strong pokemon, but she doesn’t want to make battle too easy (and doesn’t want to send other pokemon to the hospital).
That’s why she makes sure to have pokemon from each area so she can train them up and use them when needed.
Still cheers you on when you win, but maybe you should switch out pokemon. Try a different team and learn new battle strategies!

How would the other twst cast react to their Pokémon evolving and how would their families react
Tumblr media
This is going to be very long so everything is below the cut...
Divus, Sam, Ashton, Trey, Jack, Rook, Sebek, and Ortho won't be included as their Pokemon are already fully evolved or has no other evolution stages by the time they got theirs...
Also, this is a what-if and I won't be including this headcanon in my story in the works.
Heartslabyul
Riddle evolving his Budew would take place probably during a match in school, his Budew is small and fragile but he has learned to utilize the spores she can inflict. Budew felt his determination and began to evolve into a Roselia.
Riddle would be proud at this point to know that his way of raising Budew was different from how his mother raised him. He felt like he was slowly recovering from his past.
Also if he wanted to evolve Roselia further into a Roserade, he'd ask Phoebe for a Shiny Stone but that won't happen for a while since he was satisfied with Roselia. He'll ask his Pokemon's consent if they want to evolve.
Of course, Riddle's mom would ask why his familiar looked different so quickly and he just said that the familiar changes form when it gets stronger. She just took his word for it and didn't question it.
No doubt she'd force him to evolve Roselia and that's not what Riddle wants for his Pokemon.
Ace would have to ask Phoebe for a Fire Stone if he wants to evolve Growlithe. He wondered why no matter how many times he trained his Pokemon, he never evolved. Though he wants to ask Growlithe first if ever, the Pokemon agrees to evolution by putting his paw on the stone.
He does this in front of the family and they watch in awe as the small doggo goes to the big doggo. All is fine at first until Growlithe, now Arcanine still thinks he's a lap dog.
His mom would now tell Ace to start being more responsible because Arcanine is no longer a puppy! I'm talking about using the garden hose to give him a bath and brushing all that fur! Not to mention he has to stop him from chewing the furniture.
Oh and walks? good luck bro! He fast as heck boi!
Deuce would cry when Togepi finally evolves into Togetic. It would happen when he comforts the crying Pokemon during a thunderstorm.
Togepi is calmed down by Deuce gentle and caring tone. The Pokemon would feel so comforted that she'll start to glow.
He would yell for his mom to come to see and she would be dumbfounded when her son showed him a different yet familiar face. His mom would be proud of him when they both called Phoebe to ask what happened.
It turns out, that most baby Pokemon evolve through happiness. If they feel that you love them enough then they get the strength to evolve.
Deuce feels like he's gotten over his delinquent past. If this little Pokemon felt his affection despite being a bit clumsy, then he can definitely make his mother prouder of him.
Just like RIddle, Deuce would want to ask Togetic for consent when evolving.
Cater isn't much of a battler, mainly because he doesn't want to hurt his little friend. As cool as Pokemon battles are, he doesn't see himself putting his little Wynaut through that.
But unfortunately for him, Vargas wanted the ones with Pokemon to test their strength. Cater was forced to participate but his Wynaut seemed eager.
He was surprised to see the little guy counter every attack dealt to him. Eventually defeating the opponent. Which in turn, caused Wynaut to evolve into Wobbuffet. (The bane of nuzlockers everywhere).
Cater was stunned that once he realized his Pokemon evolved and that he won, he celebrated by taking pictures and bragging about it on magicam.
His sisters thought that it lost its's cuteness though. Wynaut was small and derpy hence why it was so cute. Cater thinks Wobbuffet was just as cute, if not cuter. At least those two won't hound his Pokemon anymore.
Savanaclaw
Leona and Alolan Meowth would be at the palace wandering around and looking for places to nap. But he couldn't sleep in peace when servants and guards are bad-mouthing him nearby. Not caring if he heard them or not.
Alolan Meowth looked calm but inside she was seething, how dare those people to make fun of her trainer! She goes over to them all sneaky and stealthy and ends up tying a curtain to their belts.
They were embarrassed when they ended up breaking a rather expensive vase. What timing, a person of high standing saw it and now reprimands the servants.
Meowth smirks as she goes back to Leona who was awake all this time. Though he did find some satisfaction in the prank, he tells her not to do that again because they weren't worth it.
He says this with such certainty that Meowth took it as him saying, "Royals such as themselves don't need servants who aren't worth gracing their presence"
Imagine Leona's shock when the Pokemon started to glow and appeared as Alolan Persian.
Farena and his family were surprised to see Missy change so much. They just saw her the other day but now it looks so different. Leona only told them that the familiar he was given is able to evolve if certain conditions were met. He didn't elaborate further.
He didn't want to tell them that Phoebe explained how Alolan Meowth evolved through happiness. He's not going to admit how there was someone who genuinely wanted to be in his presence.
What a tsundere.
Alolan Persian is much more mischievous to those who badmouth them now. No one knows why these unlucky events happen to certain servants, they can't trace the source, how odd hehe.
Ruggie and his Murkrow were just playing around with the other kids in the slum but of course, not everyone is all buddy-buddy. In another part of the slums were some thugs who picked on anyone in the territory, rich or poor be damned!
Murkrow tried to assist Ruggie in keeping some of the kids in their neighborhood safe when one of them accidentally wandered into the wrong territory.
Ruggie remembered being given a Dusk Stone by Phoebe. Told him if he wanted, he can evolve his Pokemon by giving them the stone. While the two had planned on just selling it, circumstances called for a different solution.
Tossing it to Murkrow to finally evolve him into a Honckrow, they finally managed to scare off the thugs. The kids and his granny were so surprised to see Murkrow, now a Honchkrow, change.
He becomes the guardian of the neighborhood. Rallying the kids into schemes to drive away even the sturdiest of adults who dare to pick on their family.
Honckrow looks after his flock, so what if they have fur and fangs instead of feathers and beaks? Don't mess with the boss!
Octavinelle
Azul and his Clobbopus were just swimming around when a group of sharks surrounded them. Usually, sharks tend to stay away from mer-inhabited waters but they seemed to be either brave or foolish to do so.
Azul could just spew an ink cloud and sneak away but that only works on one or two opponents. He was facing an entire group.
His Pokemon suddenly felt the need to defend his trainer and raised his fists in defense. The sharks just laughed and paid no mind to the little octopus.
But Clobbopus punched one in the nose and it hurt a LOT. That got the sharks to chase the little Pokemon all over the place. Azul was scared for his little friend.
But Clobbopus started to taunt the sharks to swim up to him, and all of a sudden he evolved into a Grapploct just as the sharks were swimming upwards. Azul was stunned as the sharks were all beaten up.
His parents thought Azul brought home a new familiar but they were stunned to find out it was the small Clobbopus.
He makes a call to Phoebe later who tells him that it evolves after learning the move Taunt. That's... way too specific for an evolution requirement, he thinks.
But he feels so damn proud of Grapploct! He may or may not start to try thinking more positively about his octopus form. Grapploct will support Azul if he wants to do so.
Floyd and his Wooper were just walking all over the forest but at that moment, they found a large bear roaming the area. Floyd was just going to ignore it because he wants to go somewhere with his little buddy.
The bear tries to scare him off by tossing branches, but the branch struck Wooper.
Floyd goes feral when he sees a bruise on his little buddy. Wooper watched in awe as the eel boy wrestled the now scared bear.
After the fight, Wooper was so in awe of Floyd's display of power that it simply evolved just because as a Quagsire he can clap for Floyd.
That was unpredictably wholesome, I guess some Pokemon take after their trainers after all...
Jade's Foongus would evolve after the little shroom has beaten enough students who got too close to the mushroom logs Jade was growing.
He was cultivating rare mushrooms that would fetch a hefty price if grown successfully. Some punks thought they could sneak past Jade and get some.
I guess beating people counts as a form of experience too, huh?
Jade arrived in time to witness his Foongus become an Amoonguss. Jade is very excitable and gushes over his newly evolved mushroom friend.
When he finds out the Spores that Amoonguss releases grow more mushrooms, you bet he's gonna start cultivating almost EVERYWHERE!
Floyd shrieks when he wakes up to mushroom on his blanket.
Jade is in mushroom heaven.
Scarabia
Kalim no doubt loves to pamper his Sunkern with gifts. Though he hears that trainers from Phoebe's world think that Sunkern is the weakest out of all the Pokemon. Kalim still thinks nothing less of his buddy!
To show how he loves his Sunkern, he would sometimes tag along with Phoebe to her world to buy gifts that he thinks Sunkern would like. Though he could easily purchase the most expensive pot and greenhouse in Twisted Wonderland, he wanted to make it more personal.
A gift he personally picked would show his Pokemon his sincerity.
He would walk a thousand miles to get dew drops from the mountain if Sunkern asked him to!
While looking at the market with Phoebe, he sees a stone that looks like a sun. It reminds him of Sunkern's sunny personality. He buys a Sun Stone and gifts it to Sunkern.
He was shocked to see his Pokemon glow when it touched the Sun Stone. In its place, a Sunflora stood. Kalim had to call Phoebe to ask what happened to his Sunkern.
He'll be relieved that his Pokemon just evolved, he had no idea just by giving a certain stone, his little Sunkern literally blossomed into a beautiful flower.
His family would be surprised to hear about the concept of familiars evolving but they were happy for him. Sunflora's bright petals shimmer and rustle in joy. His 30+ siblings can't help but have a desire for anything sunflower after spending time with Sunflora.
Though he has to get used to Sunflora staying still during nighttime.
Jamil and his Natu would be just doing their chores in the manor when a rather haughty noble comes into the estate to have a chat with Kalim's father about trade and stuff.
Jamil didn't like the noble, he was greedy and liked to own things because he wants them.
Kalim can't help but agree because at one point he wanted to buy off an expensive family heirloom, thankfully his father managed to politely tell him no without causing a fuss.
But he let his guard down when the noble saw Natu and since he's just a servant, he expects Jamil to hand over the exotic-looking parrot to him.
Kalim comes in time to nicely tell him that the academy, therefore an education system that holds influence, has given Jamil ownership. It's not for trade!
The noble doesn't see Kalim as someone he should listen to unless he inherits his father's title already. He demands once more to hand over Natu.
He wasn't going to hand over his Pokemon! He's had enough of having things taken from him, Jamil suggests they duel it out fairly. If Jamil lost then the Natu is his, if he wins then the noble gets nothing.
Under the permission of the head of the Asim family, they prepare the garden square as an arena.
Though it won't be just Jamil who will face the noble, Natu joins too. The noble has his best guards to face Jamil.
The thing is, Jamil is quite cunning. Strength can only be used properly if they were smart too, but the guards were just meatheads. No doubt just picked because they were strong.
Jamil and Natu easily won. The noble was about to protest but Mr. Asim already announced the winner. Unless the noble wants his supply cut off then he should be wise about his next course of action.
After the noble left, Jamil and his family celebrated in their home. At that time, Natu evolves into Xatu. The entire family was shocked and were asking Jamil what happened.
He remembered Phoebe telling him that Pokemon evolve through battling usually.
He feels proud of himself for some reason, seeing the familiar he was given become stronger under his care.
Though Xatu doesn't wander off like Natu, the Pokemon just stands there watching the sun in one spot that would almost be mistaken for a statue.
How odd...
Pomefiore
Vil and his Snom would be brought to so many interviews after there was news of some students getting a special familiar. The public and his fans were eager to know what kind of elegant and powerful familiar he got.
Though the entirety of Twisted Wonderland shook when he presented his Snom, his fans got over that initial shock and gushed over how cute it was!
Cue merchandise based on Snom to go along with Vil merch.
Even Neige can't help but see how cute Snom is, though Vil was being so secretive and never reveals to him where he got it.
But a few people among the crowd were disapproving of Vil's Snom. Saying it looks weird and weak. Not like Vil's image.
He pays them no mind as he continues to post how much he cherishes Snom.
One night in his home, he rants to Snom how people call her icky or weak. But he doesn't care about their opinions, he loves his familiar.
Snom must have felt his sincerity because she started to glow and all of a sudden evolved into a Frosmoth.
Vil and his family were stunned but that turned into awe when they gazed at the beautiful wings of Frosmoth.
Choke on that haters! He posts Frosmoth's form and the video that was taken by his father who managed to tape it seconds before evolving.
Epel brought his Applin home and his granny thought he got a rare large apple to grow on the farm. Imagine her surprise when a small worm dragon pops out.
His family got used to an apple rolling all over the place following Epel. It was very cute yet the little worm was feisty like their boy.
During dinner, Epel accidentally gave it a sour apple instead of a sweet one. He initially planned on using an Appletun to be an unstoppable tank.
But what he ended up with is a small dragon in an apple.
He was disappointed at first, he called Phoebe about it and mentioned that Applin can evolve depending on which apple you fed it, it comes out either Appletun or Flapple. He must've forgotten that part.
He tries to give Flapple a chance since he won't be heartless as to release him into the wild just because he couldn't get the evolution he wanted.
To his surprise, Flapple was faster and hits just as hard as an Appletun would. Though the defense isn't as good as Appletun's the speed makes up for it.
Epel is easily won over by the little guy.
His family is grateful for Flapple as he would scare off potential thieves who try to steal apples from the farm.
Granny Felmier knitted a special tiny hat and blanket for Flapple in the winter.
Ignihyde
Idia thought about evolving his Porygon at some point though no matter how much he trains it, it doesn't seem to be close to evolving.
Upon asking Phoebe, he realized that Porygon is a special Pokemon that is made up of code, therefore would require trade evolution while holding a certain object.
Not to mention this needs to be done twice if he wanted to evolve it into a Porygon Z.
Idia would've picked to evolve it into the last stage until he read the dex entry. He does not want the unpredictability that comes with a Porygon Z.
So he chooses to evolve it into a Porygon 2 instead. Phoebe was shocked because Idia made his own version of a trading machine to evolve Porygon.
Phoebe would only have to find an Upgrade for him back home.
He's only telling Ortho. STYX can't know about his little buddy. No doubt they'd use it for experiments, Idia has few good things to protect, he'll do so with all his might.
Diasomnia
Malleus' Pokemon would definitely evolve after sparring with his retainers and even challenging other nobles who wish to witness the power of the prince's familiar.
The first time Vanillite evolved into Vanillish was when he and Sebek's Pokemon were sparring. Vanillite was getting so pumped up that it eventually evolved.
The first time it happened, Sebek panicked and thought he did something to his waka-sama's Pokemon.
But thankfully, Lilia remembered that Pokemon evolve if they have gained enough experience.
Malleus was very pleased, as, in giddy pleased, his precious ice cream monster has gotten bigger.
The second time this happened, Malleus asked Phoebe if his Pokemon was going to be a banana split. He was a little disappointed to realize this was now the final stage.
But at least the Vanillish, now a Vanillux, has two heads to show affection to.
The nobles and his grandmother would grow curious as to how a creature can quickly change by simply becoming stronger.
Lilia would probably evolve his Gulpin by feeding him all that cooking he did. Gulpin probably decided that he needed a bigger body to eat more of Lilia's food then...
Bigger mouth to eat food with! Lilia just came back from the kitchen to see his not so little friend eating half the furniture now.
Lilia is tearing up, to think that his cooking was so delicious that his familiar wanted more of it.
Diasomnia praises the evolution because Lilia's cooking is entirely focused on Swallot.
Oh, Lilia can't make dinner tonight? That's okay... THAT'S MORE THAN OKAY!
Silver would fall asleep as usual while his Teddiursa ventures into the woods to find honey but meets a bigger bear who was stingy for the honey.
No matter how much the little Teddiursa tried, they just got smacked away.
The Pokemon grew frustrated that it ended up evolving Just to get the honey!
Ursaring returns and plops next to Silver who woke up and just shrugged it off like, eh... he just think he was still dreaming.
But once he realized that he wasn't, he shot up and poked at Ursaring who was chowing down on honey.

Alright so Gogah was created when I had a dream about a new yogscast member named Gogah. Which is a shitty name but honestly so are most other minecraft usernames so who cares. From my dream he had around 4.2k subscribers and was one of those lava man in a suit skins. You remember prestonplayz? Does anyone? He kinda looked like him but in a suit. Grian was also there in one video but i think he was there for just one line and half the joke was "look it's grian"
He was a bit of a troll! A goofy guy! At one point he uploaded an april fools video where he talked about Xephos having a weird dream about sand, goofy guy!
He was also a mix of like a blood mage and a scientist? In one video he had mind controlled villagers to press a button that stole their blood until they died, only to realize in horror he had ran out of villagers, while notifications in the chat were like “gogah has become addicted to blood” which had horrifying in universe implications but because it was minecraft it was just really funny.
The scientist part came in with the fact he was tasked with protecting this like crystal in an amethyst box? I don't remember what the crystal did but it was something bad so he had to keep track of it, keep it sealed, usual minecraft science. He made a vow to protect it with a special book, because the gimmick of this minecraft server was like magical unbreakable vows? Like magically you could not break them, there was no way to break the contract even if both parties agreed it should be broken.
This got INTERESTING when dream me scrolled into the comment section of a video and there was comments like “gogah has to protect the server but Rythian has a vow to protect gogah! Conflict!” which was a really fucking interesting idea
Another interesting Gogah fact is that he is INCREDIBLY GAY, like BIG DISASTER GAY, in one of the episodes xephos was just over in the corner doing something and Gogah like optifine zoomed in on him with like that one pick filter with the hearts as he talked about how pretty and amazing he is.
He had a kind of soft voice with a british accent, it was nice.
My friendgroup decided he needed a funny scandal after I joked about how I finally had a minecraft youtuber who couldnt disappoint me and we decided he cheated on a speedrun but it was less because he was trying to cheat and more that he just didn't know how speedruns worked or really what they were. You know how nuzlockers brag about cheating in rare candies because they're really lame? That kinda situation but with a minecraft speedrun.
Here's a shitty mockup I did his skin was less terrible but you work with what you got. also my friend @universal-consistant really blorbos him and headcanons that he's a soul who fell into a lava pit in the nether so yeah here's gogah everyone.

Level Zeo’s Brilliant Diamond Nuzlocke - Part 1
I’m going to do a Nuzlocke of Brilliant Diamond.  I never played the gen 4 games growing up, and even now I have never finished a playthrough of one (not for lack of wanting to, it's a long story), so this is going to be semi-blind.  I also like Nuzlockes a lot as a storytelling device, so as I play I like coming up with headcanons for my Pokemon and their personalities, and I thought it would be cool to share those alongside the factual info of what happens in the run.
What are my rules?  Well, I am pretty bad at video games.  But I’m also better than the pure damage move spammer I was as a child, so I’m going somewhere in between casual and hardcore.  Rules are as follows:
Pokemon faints, Pokemon dead.
I can only catch the first Pokemon I find on each Route/Area.
Nicknames for everybody!
No duplicates!  If my first encounter is a duplicate I am forced to try again until I get something new.
Level Caps.  Nobody is allowed to level past the next Gym Leader’s Ace.
Items.  I will allow myself to use healing items in battle, but no battle items.  If I find it too easy, I might put a limit on the number of heals I can use in one fight.
I will be playing in Switch Mode.  As I said, I am bad at video games.  I’m going to be losing a lot of Pokemon to stupidity and cockiness already, so I don’t need the extra challenge of Set Mode.
Okay then.  Let’s begin.
I start up the game, pick the base female avatar, name her Zeo, and name my rival Melvin.  Entering the game world proper, Melvin drags me to Lake Verity where we steal borrow some Pokemon from a briefcase to protect ourselves from getting mauled by wild animals.  I pull a d6 from my pocket and roll it into the tall grass to decide which one I will pick, and I end up going with the middle Pokeball, Chimchar.  Do I even need to say how this fight goes?  We all know what happens here.
My new Chimchar has a Careful nature, and a characteristic of being Very Finicky.  That makes me feel as though he is a very nervous creature.  Cautious of everything, even to a fault.  Perhaps he is right to worry so much, since on the way to Sandgem Town, he gets Crit TWICE by random encounters, forcing me to go home and heal each time.  Poor fella.
I finally make it to Sandgem, and can finally give the Chimchar a nickname.  I decided to go with Simmer, since he doesn’t seem like one to turn up the heat right out the gate.  I get my Pokedex from my second favorite Professor, and the adventure can truly begin.  First things first, I buy some Pokeballs so I can get an encounter from Route 201.
I end up with a lvl 2 Starly as my first encounter on the route.  Don’t ask me why, but the Starly line has always reminded me of the seagulls I would always see on the coast.  Because of that, I name this Starly after the food those winged rats would always steal from me.  Chips.  He has a Jolly nature, and is Strongly Defiant.  These traits make me think that this virtual bird would try to steal my food just like the real ones.  A hungry and energetic little gremlin.  I imagine that he would quickly get on Simmer’s nerves.
After 201, I head north to Route 202.  There, I ended up with the encounter I knew I was going to have going into a Sinnoh game.  Bidoof.  She has a Brave nature and Likes to Thrash About.  I probably could have picked a name that goes better with those traits, but since I only get to know them after the nickname, her name is Boof.
This is where I make the stupid mistake of not going back to heal.  Because of this, I almost have a complete wipe against my very first trainer fight in the entire game.  Luckily, newcomer Boof is able to pull through and win the day with a sliver of hp remaining, and nobody dead.  A Brave soul indeed.  I hope this close call is not an omen of things to come.
Next stop is Jubilife.  Pros of Jubilife: the music.  Cons of Jubilife: the clowns.  I get the Poketech before heading north again for more encounters.  Between Route 204 and The Ravaged Path, I gain two new friends.  Doc the Zubat, who is Hasty and Finicky.  And Petard the Geodude who is Jolly and Somewhat of a Clown.
Between the name and traits, I think of Doc as a bit of a mad scientist archetype.  Cackling maniacally as he swoops in and out of combat, scoffing at anyone who dares question his intelligence (despite not actually being as smart as he thinks he is).  Simmer and Boof definitely aren’t buying the act, but Chips is all for it.  I imagine Chips sees this as an opportunity to make a friend (and also to mooch food off of him), while Doc sees this as obtaining a new minion.  Mwahahaha.  Since they’re both flying types it saddens me that I will need to box one of them eventually, since I probably won’t need two fliers most of the time.
Being Jolly and a bit of Clown would normally make a Pokemon a bit of a prankster in my mind, but something about Petard being a Geodude wants me to go in a different direction.  I’m picturing just a very chill and laid-back kinda guy, always trying to lighten the mood and crack a joke.  Maybe even a bit of a “stoner” (cue rimshot and/or gunshot from the audience).  Him and Boof would get along great due to them both being tanky and willing to roll with the punches.  He is also willing to let Chips perch on his head, which is very cool of him.
I feel like I’m forgetting something else about my Geodude… oh right!  I named him Petard after a type of bomb.  In poor taste?  Maybe.  Does this mean I will be keeping and/or using self destruct when he learns it?
Something I notice is that Simmer doesn’t really have anyone he can connect with.  Chips definitely thinks their friends, not realizing how much his antics and gremlin energy annoys the Chimchar.  Meanwhile Boof/Petard try to keep Simmer included, but his nerves and caution to most situations cause them to do so less and less.  Doc just laughs and calls him a pitiful cowardly wretch of a fire type.
Poor Simmer.  His loneliness is somewhat of his own making, but you can’t force yourself to be around people you don’t vibe with.  As the Starter he is in a “Team Leader” role by default, and he’s definitely the powerhouse of the team, but is he confident enough in his abilities to be the leader they need right now?  Probably not.
Enough characterization for now!  Let’s get back to the game.
Since northwards is a dead end as of now, I go back to Jubilife.  Popping into the trainer’s school, I have a vague memory of losing all of my Pokémon to the two Charge Beam Abras in there the first time I tried playing this game.  Luckily Petard is immune to anything they do and he is easily able to slowly beat them into the dirt.
After that I head east onto Route 203, where I am immediately jumped by Melvin who challenges me to a Rival Battle.
It’s not a hard battle.  Petard is tanky enough to not be hurt by anything the Starly can do, though I do switch to Boof to finish them off after the bird used Growl enough times to make the fight annoyingly slow.  My decision that these two should be friends solidifies.
I have discovered in retrospect that Piplup has no water moves at this point, but at the time I didn’t know, so I sent in Chips instead of Simmer, who probably could have done it faster.  I choose to believe I was just role-playing my starter’s careful nature.  Chips is probably excited to prove himself though, and he certainly does.  It’s a close battle, but I prove that my bird is superior and win the day (probably also stealing Melvin's lunch in the process).
I thought about continuing after that fight, but decided this was enough for a first update.  If you read this far I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I did writing in!  Again, I think Nuzlockes are a fascinating medium for storytelling, and I hope the personalities I gave my Pokémon are fun to think about.  I know that I like them.  Next time I update I hope to at least get to the first Gym.  Hope to see you then!
(PS, I am not an artist.  I am bad at art.  But for some reason I wanted to draw my Pokémon children.  They aren’t good, but here they are.  Let’s hope none of them die on me.)

The Shadow Chaser / Rocco the Krookodile*
Ever since his Krokorok days, Rocco has been Rosa’s ace and the offensive cornerstone of her team. He is lightning-fast and packs a punch so very few are left standing once he makes it out to the battlefield. He was instrumental in Rosa’s Bolt Badge victory, swept through the majority of the Plasma Frigate ( with Maximus picking off the stragglers ), took down half of the E4 by himself, and even OHKO’d Reshiram ( who was 8 levels higher ) during Rosa’s battle against N in the ruined Plasma Castle.
Rocco is also Rosa’s designated “shadow chaser”. He has a keen sense for the paranormal and is always on his guard whenever he senses ghost-types around his trainer. He always accompanies her when she’s exploring haunted grounds like the Celestial Tower ( where he led her party and she didn’t have a single ghost pokémon encounter on her initial journey up and down the tower ), the Strange House, and even Victory Road. He never snaps his jaws at the ghosts unprovoked but if they get too close to Rosa or threaten her in any way, they will fall to his crunching jaws without mercy.
He and Rosa’s Haxorus, Maximus, have a friendly training rivalry going on. While Maximus is the team’s powerhouse based on sheer brute force alone, Rocco’s physical strength is nothing to snooze at. Add to that his high speed and knowledge of dragon-type moves like Outrage and he can easily put the Haxorus in his place if he gets too rowdy.
He blames himself partially for Luna's death. Despite being outside of his Poké Ball at the time that Rosa faced the Shadow Triad, he (like Rosa herself) hadn't expected the Triad member's Absol to go for Rosa so he couldn't react in time to protect his trainer or his teammate. After that fatal lack of judgment, he developed into a more cunning and careful fighter.

♚ Do you agree with fandom interpretation of your character?
❀ Share a headcanon you have not shared.
♚ : ((A majority of the interpretations I've seen of Clay are... Not that great. I'll admit most of them are from Nuzlocke comics, but usually he's reduced to this caricature of a Texas Republican. Which not only do I disagree with, but it kind of makes me cringe on the inside because it ignores a lot of the potential with the character, as well as the core concept of an immigrant businessman trying (and eventually succeeding) to make it big in a foreign country. I think a lot of it is because we nowadays take businesses for granted, but it feels like people forgot exactly how hard that is.))
((Also it feels like people forget that for all of the big businesses we have in the Pokemon world, Clay is one of TWO CEOs that hasn't gone evil and run a villain group. The other being Steven Stone's dad Joseph, who inherited the "we run on dead Pokémon energy" company.))
❀: ((I mean technically his sexuality hasn't been completely confirmed yet~ /jk))
((But being serious, I have a headcanon that his hearing is going, just a little. It's not profound hearing loss, but he has trouble hearing soft/low noises like whispers or hissing. Consequences of years of working with construction equipment and knowing Byron, AKA "Pyrotechnics Go Off During My Anime Lines and I Must Scream" catching up to him.))

Not really a nuzlocke update but this has been on my mind lately, so when I was doing the Psychic-type Gym, I kinda started to ship Tulip (psychic gym leader) and Dendra (fighting gym teacher). They’re childhood friends, the constantly do battles where the loser has to do what the winner says, Tulip is a beautician who criticizes everyone’s appearance but headcanon that she finds Dendra’s gym clothes cute. Also headcanon that Dendra was learning to make better sandwiches to impress her girlfriend with a good home cooked meal…it’s just a shame Miriem was the guinea pig to this struggle (she made it up for all the stomachaches she cause)

Character ask meme:
Eusine
and Morty !!
Character Ask Meme (Accepting)
Eusine
What I love about them: God I wish I had even half of the drive & ambition (and energy) this man has to chasing his dreams he’s like Sonic but less cocky and more free-willed & i don’t think I can remember any other Pokemon character being this excited over just the slight chance of achieving their goals c’:
What I hate about them: It’s been a long while since I played SoulSilver but I didn’t find him creepy/stalker-like at all like the fandom likes to assume…? So I don’t really hate him for anything ._.;
Favorite Moment/Quote: Still cry over the fact that he congratulates you if you successfully catch Suicune. Man could’ve said nothing or told you off for crushing his dream but he decided to thank you instead for the chance to meet Suicune what did we do to deserve this man ;-;
What I would like to see more focus on: I do find it kinda weird that only Suicune gets the focus and not any other Legendary Beast…? We don’t get any context for why Eusine is only focused on Suicune specifically instead of the other two so that might’ve been cool to see i guess ._.; (I mean we kinda sorta got a special episode with Raikou I think but idk I don’t think that counts)
What I would like to see less focus on: Why did they make Eusine yell at Ash. I mean…I get why (kid basically claimed to see the gay chicken god but Eusine wasn’t having it) but why c’: (he never yelled at the player in-game so I see the anime Eusine as very ooc)
Favorite pairing with: Morty x Eusine! (Sacredshipping) but sometimes Jasmine x Eusine too (I think it’s called Simpleshipping…? Kinda basic if you ask me :P but still cute ^-^)
Favorite friendship: Guzma & Steven Stone. Guzma cuz of my oc phase (where basically my oc was friends with a bunch of Pokemon characters & became a crime-fighting team i dont care if its cringe shut up). Steven because I can see these two accidentally/coincidentally running into each other a bunch of times for them to eventually meet up & eventually become travelling buddies.
NOTP: …nobody ships him with Suicune right? …Right?
Favorite headcanon: I still like to think he’s a waterbender who learned from his uncle (which is the dude in Celadon City that can only be accessed through Surf). I mean…it gives further context for why he’s searching for Suicune specifically, plus I doubt any of his Pokemon know Surf either & it’d be kinda hard to chase a water deity if you don’t know how to use Surf yourself ._.;
Morty
What I love about them: He was the only male Ghost Gym Leader until the shy guy kid from Galar came along & stole his title :c in all seriousness tho I think he has the best character design out of all the Ghost Type Gym Leaders, even the Gen 4 design wasn’t too on the nose (like Agatha or the shy guy kid again, yeah yeah I know his name but i never played Sword/Shield so i’m not using it) or too obtrusive (Fantina…) Also his voice actor’s AMAZING and very underrated I wish people knew about Andrew Rannells more :c
What I hate about them: The Gen 4 design was still kinda pushing it as far as Ghost Gym Leader aesthetic goes & I still like his Gen 2/Anime design better but that’s just me :/ (also he killed my starter on my nuzlocke run when i was 11 ;-;)
Favorite Moment/Quote: I love the part in the anime where Ash asks: “wait you can talk to/understand Ghost Pokemon how?” And Morty just immediately answers “Practice.” (Also again thank you Andrew Rannels for the way the line was delivered I can’t do it justice but it’s like he saying “uuuh how do you do anything Ash huh?” xD)
What I would like to see more focus on: I don’t really see much of a problem with how he’s portrayed in game and/or the anime actually! True, more screen time and/or backstory is greatly appreciated for his interest in Ho-oh (at least in game, the anime is fine) but for what we got, I’m glad we had a Gym Leader who actually paid attention to/studied the mythos of the region for once instead of just being generic miniboss no. 14 (it might’ve been kinda cool to see his clairvoyance used more like in the manga but idk how that would work ._.;)
What I would like to see less focus on: idk he doesn’t get much screen time so there’s not much i can say about him that wasn’t needed…? Unlike Eusine, Morty’s initial attitude towards Ash (dismissing his claims about rainbow birb) made sense for his character (because he didn’t yell at him) but I guess if anyone was going to give Ash a hard time it should’ve been Morty, not Eusine. (Though this would’ve made for some annoying/petty/unnecessary drama so I can’t complain ._.;)
Favorite pairing with: Eusine (Sacredshipping) & Steven Stone (Knightshipping I think…? idk the pokeship list is a mess) Morty & Eusine both hold a special place in my heart for being the first Pokemon characters I liked (and for fueling the oc dream team I mentioned earlier) but I can also see some chemistry with Steven too! They can be chill together c:
Favorite friendship: uuuh does frenemies count cuz I still think Yellowjacket (Guzma x Morty) is the best Guzma ship I’ve come up with yet, platonic or otherwise (though I see them more as frenemies than lovers) I can also see AZ & Morty being close friends too…? idk i just want my top two favs to be buddies & share stories about their history and legendaries together 🥺
NOTP: I used to see Falkner x Morty EVERYWHERE on deviantart and it was very yabai 😬 (though hopefully that’s changed now…? It was less about the characters themselves & more about how they were portrayed…shota…)
Favorite headcanon: because I have been sucked into a new fandom hell I like to think Morty is Keito Hasumi’s uncle and I’ve been meaning to recreate my old dead rp blog just to write about their dynamic but he basically taught Keito everything he knows about music (and possibly magic) and was basically Keito’s second dad (since his real dad is probably too busy working as a monk) and no this totally isn’t just another way for me to put two of my fav characters together whaddya talking about (also the fact that both of these characters have the voices of an angel seriously go look up Andrew Rannells and Yuichiro Umehara right now they are too good for this world ;-;)
