Moss is a vessel of shadows, jumping from dimension to dimension via a dimensional eye she had fused with. Her eye streaks represent how many times she had died and now she is on her second life. Each death causing another shadow of that past life to follow her (I’ll post more on that at some point w/ more general lore). Moss isn’t quick to make friends but will take any non enemies she can get her hands on. Her snarky and somewhat annoying attitude doesn’t help, although they are kind at heart (if she had one).

Fanfiction concept that’s been burning in my mind ever since I first read Shatter Me in high school and have always wanted to share: taking place during the first book, spurned by Warner telling her that Adam said that he’d gone to the asylum because he “wanted to see the freak she’d become”, Juliette, betrayed and grief-stricken that her one light in the dark is seemingly also against her, gets sick of the fact that she’s tried for years and years to prove herself harmless — that she’s not a monster — only for these efforts to go ignored and for her to be treated like a monster anyway. To now be pressured by The Reestablishment to be a weapon of torture when she never wanted to harm anyone and to be seemingly tricked by someone she saw as her only friend. So, she just… gives up. She decides that, if she’s going to be treated like a cruel monster, she just won’t bother being nice anymore. And she escapes the facility on her own.
