Odin, the All-Father, wise and strong With his one eye, he sees what's long gone God of knowledge, magic, and war His ravens Huginn and Muninn soar

Apparently there's something called UV resin that cures instantly under ultra-violet light, and I'm beyond stoked about it.

Public Health Services are super important to me and the stress being put on the system right now with the pandemic and defunding and more is pushing many to consider allowing privitization and that is very, very unnerving to me.

Our blood services were regulated to ensure that there is consistent access to healthy, consistently tested blood for those in need. Its known that private companies are known for taking advantage of at risk and low income communities, and being private means opening potential for them to set their own standards and potentially restrict access at will. There are CERTAINLY problems within our systems (discrimination of donors based on risk that is not actually an effective risk management for one) but we need PUBLIC healthcare. Privitization will only create tiered systems that work for the hyper rich and affect little change for the average populus, if not making access even harder for rural communities and those who already struggle to access healthcare. Profit is not found with those in need, and private companies are profit driven. Public accountability is Crucial. Canadian Blood services only had 3 days worth of O+ blood as of Aug 4th, and many appointments are left unfilled or cancelled. If you can donate, please consider it!
