❖𝐁𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐛𝐨 (𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐈 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐬𝐭):
Tumblr media
NАJIMI NАJIMI NАJIMI NАJIMI !! ♡♡♡♡♡♡♡ MY ABSOLUTE MOST FAVORITE CHARACTER EVER!!!!! THEY’S SO BELOVED FR, I CAN NEVER GET ENOUGH OF THEM<333333
❖𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐮𝐧𝐤𝐥𝐲 (𝐦𝐲 “𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐲”, 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐞 𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐒𝐨 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐝): Kоmi and Tаdano; whether it’s individually or separately, seeing them never fails to make my heart melt. 🥺✨ They’re just such a wholesome pair!
ALSO, as a bit of an honorable mention: KАTAI MАKOTO, MY DEARLY BELOVED‼️ He’s from the 2nd season that’s currently airing, which I only started watching not too long ago, BUT GOD I INSTANTLY BECAME ATTACHED TO HIM. The trope his character revolves around is just incredibly funny and he himself is a very lovable guy. Watching this gentle giant try so hard to interact with his classmates never fails to make me go 🥺
❖𝐒𝐜𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐨 𝐁𝐢𝐦𝐛𝐥𝐨 (𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝/𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐞): Otоri Kаede and Nеne Onеmine!!!! They don’t show up a lot but I think it’s nice when they do. :) They’re some of Kоmi’s chillest + most normal friends and, while they may not be as fun as the rest of the cast, they certainly add a nice change of pace to the overall erratic tone of the series.
Though it’s not like they lack their own charm — on the contrary! Onеmine’s sisterly attitude is quite enjoyable, and it’s nice to see how kind and understanding she can be towards her peers (namely Kоmi and Tаdano), given how mean-spirited their behavior can be a lot of the time; her level-headedness is greatly appreciated in a show where insanity is so predominant. xP
With Kaеde I just love the whole vibe she has going on– she’s so airheaded and silly, I love her to pieces. ♡ She’s just a very ditzy yet caring and genuinely sweet girl, and like I said before with Onеmine, having her be this way feels like a breath of fresh air. Plus I just happen to like characters like her a whole lot. 💓💓
❖𝐆𝐥𝐮𝐩 𝐒𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐨 (𝐨𝐛𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐞, 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝟎.𝟐 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐧’𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐭 𝐮𝐩 𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐭 𝐢𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐤): Nоkoko Inаka and Kоmi’s parents!!
Inаka is such a sweet and nice girl, it’s always a delight to see her on screen. 🥺 I always found her naive nature to be extremely endearing, and I think it’s very funny how she admires Kоmi so much!
Kоmi’s parents, well– I think they’re a bit of a given. How could anyone not love them? They’re both super charismatic in their own unique ways; they’re very fun to watch, and their interactions with their daughter are absolutely adorable. 💖
❖𝐏𝐨𝐨𝐫 𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐞𝐨𝐰 𝐌𝐞𝐨𝐰 (“𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜”/𝐮𝐧𝐩𝐨𝐩𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐫/𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐚𝐥/𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐟𝐚𝐯𝐞): Yаmai Rеn my both beloved and beloathed problematic fave. 😍😍😍🥰🥰🥰🥰
Yeah, sorry, no way to defend myself here, I simply love obsessively enamored freaks in media; I just enjoy that character trope a lot (depending on how it’s handled), it’s my guilty pleasure. ♡ Especially when their antics are as comedically exaggerated as it is in Yаmai’s case; it’s all just so fun to watch (…well, most of it).
❖𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐞 𝐏𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤𝐨 (𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐟𝐮𝐧, 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧): I would treat both Osаna Nаjimi and Omаharu Nаkanaka as if they were my younger siblings: I would bully them, but always in a lighthearted way. <3
❖𝐄𝐞𝐛𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐞𝐛𝐲 (𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐈 𝐰𝐨𝐮𝐥𝐝 𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥): Yаmai Rеn. Yes, she’s garbage, but despite that I wholeheartedly believe that’s part of her character’s charm; and yes, that doesn’t take away the fact that she’s a disgusting person whose depravity knows no bounds and every time she lets this show it makes me want to have that creep be obliterated once and for all. We exist.

Continuation of yandere trio: how would they b like as dads in their yandere state? What would the s/o do if she stsrted to notice that their kid starts to resemble their father's behavior? How would the adult trio react to their kid trying to help their mother escape?
Tumblr media
Illumi
The S/O’s reaction would depend on many factors (personality, her state after everything that happened, so on), so it’s not so easy to predict it. As for Illumi’s, well… I can tell you it wouldn’t be pretty. It’s disturbing enough that Illumi would act as if you’re indeed married and happy together (though it is how he sees things), imagine how it would be with a baby.
Because he doesn’t see anything wrong with his actions, Illumi wouldn’t force you to act as a “happy, loving wife” or bother to hide the circumstances of your relationship from his children (though he might not be so obvious, keeping a few details from them, such as kidnapping for example, especially during the first years of their lives, believing they’re “too young to understand”). It’s not that he would sit down with them at some point and tell that he’s kidnapped you, but he wouldn’t deny it if you told them. He wouldn’t be exactly happy if the child ended up asking “why do you hurt mommy” or “why don’t you love her”, but he wouldn’t go into a fit of rage, at least.
If/When the child questioned Illumi about your “relationship”, he would give the same responses he gives when you try to explain to him that he is hurting you: Cold, “logical” arguments that completely ignore the matter of free will and the nature of feelings.
Yes, it would be pretty messed up.
Perhaps the only good thing we can say about this is that Illumi would never use them against you or vice-versa (such as keeping the baby away if you don’t behave, poisoning the child to hate you, or threatening to hurt them to keep you in line). He might forbid you from seeing them, but only in “extreme” cases as Illumi would have the whole “delusion that you’re a happy family” going on.
This, however, is the only good thing we can say about Yandere!Illumi as a father. Remember the kind of yandere this guy is? The one likely to believe that you do love him, sees nothing wrong with his actions, and all? This sort of applies to his own child as well, in a sense. He would already want to raise them as he was raised but it would be worse in this case: The child would be more a part of his “ideal” of a family than individuals. Illumi would be a lot more “overprotective”, while also being manipulative, wanting to shape his children to be the “perfect successors” of his bloodline. While you can still argue with him about it, he will listen a lot less (if at all) than in a normal state of mind.
It’s not that Illumi wouldn’t love them, but if the Zoldyck’s kind of “love” is already twisted normally, well, imagine how it would be in this scenario. He might even mention that he wouldn’t make the same mistakes he made with Killua.
Actually, his behavior towards Killua is a pretty good indication of how he would be as a father, only worse.
Thankfully, there is the chance of your influence and the child’s own nature rebelling against Illumi’s teachings, so they wouldn’t be an “Illumi 2.0”.
Once Illumi realized your child is trying to help you escape (maybe even wanting to leave with you), whether you’re successful or not, he would be angry, confused, and even hurt (as hypocritical as that sounds). He is virtually incapable of understanding you both wanting to leave him. You’re a family, he loves you both, he keeps you safe… Your behavior makes no sense. Why would his wife and children want to go away?
If you are caught in this attempt, Illumi would punish you both, all while saying that it’s not something he wants to, but he can’t have this bad behavior. He would probably place the child in chains and whip them, or some other “Zoldyck-like” punishment, while keeping you two from seeing each other for a while. If you guys kept trying, he might decide to put needles in the both of you to prevent future attempts.
Tumblr media
 Hisoka
Hisoka never cared much for the idea of becoming a father, but once it happens, he accepts it and may surprise those around him by actually becoming excited about it after a while. This is all fine and good, but with him as a Yandere? Well, the excitement still happens and all, but it’s disturbing…
Don’t try to point out how messed up this situation is, Hisoka will just smile and ask how can you say this? Don’t you see? You’re a family now. Yes, it’s possible that he hopes/believes this may work in his favor, somehow “pushing” you into accepting him. He certainly won’t hesitate to make use of it, often holding you close, whispering that this is “our child”, so on… Really, Hisoka may not be the abusive type of Yandere, but he is the proof that sometimes hell can exist without physical violence.
It’s not easy to say/imagine how Hisoka would be as a dad because, well, c’mon, it’s Hisoka. However, especially in this situation, we can’t say he would change just because he became a dad (especially in his behavior towards you). It’s just not in his nature. And we can’t forget that this child was born from a person who simply does not love him. About that, it’s unclear whether Hisoka would care to keep the whole “yandere” thing hidden from the child (including that he’s keeping you with him by threat/force/whatever). He believes in living life as he wants, so while this may sound sick, he wouldn’t see why this might be problematic. If you decide to pretend to be an actual couple for the sake of the child, Hisoka may agree but he won’t be pleased about it. Remember, he is the sort of yandere that does want you to love him for real.
While he wouldn’t completely ignore what you have to say about raising the child (at least not completely), Hisoka would probably want to train them soon, imprinting his values and views of the world on them. It wouldn’t be to Illumi’s level, but it would still be pretty dysfunctional. Not that Hisoka would see it like this, as he genuinely believes in his way of life (let’s be honest, the guy isn’t exactly one that cares too much about “good” and “bad”, is he?).
It's hard to say whether or not Hisoka would be abusive (though it seems unlikely) despite this particular aspect (or at least it wouldn’t be to Illumi’s level), but that doesn’t mean he would be exactly a good dad. He may want to be, but his mental state simply doesn’t allow it. Even if he treats the child well, c’mon, you’re being kept against your will. There is no chance of this being a healthy environment for a child to grow (and the danger of them turning out like Hisoka is beyond scary). Besides, it’s open for debate how much of the affection Hisoka has for the child is genuine and how much is connected to his obsession for you (which would not tone down after the birth).
If the child is smart, they would not let Hisoka know they don’t agree with him keeping you with him against your will, regardless of his argument that he does love you. Hisoka would at once start to pay attention to their moves, so escaping would be even harder.
He would be… “Displeased” to see your child trying to help you escape (even more if you two succeed). Yes, he isn’t delusional like Illumi, but it doesn’t mean he accepts the fact that you don’t love him, and having his child helping you (and probably running away with you, if they know what’s good for them) would feel like a betrayal.
He wouldn’t take that well at all.
Hisoka would hunt you two down like a hound from hell, making his decision to kill all the Spiders seem like a walk on the beach. There would be no arguments, no talking, no nothing, he would find you. As much as he could be training the child, it wouldn’t be enough for them to win should they try to engage him in a fight. About that, Hisoka might see that the child doesn’t want to be an insane fighter like this, but he secretly believes that he can change that with time.
It should be noted that Hisoka wouldn’t kill them, but it would pretty much the same it is with you in a sense: He would simply not let the child go and would resort to whatever means are necessary to keep you both with him.
Tumblr media
 Chrollo
Due to his lifestyle and focus on the Phantom Troupe’s goals, Chrollo never gave much thought about having children (then again, he never gave much thought about getting in a relationship and, well, see where this got you).
Just like he was not moved by pleas or arguments, he won’t listen should you try to convince him to let you go or at least give the child to adoption (better than to be raised by an insane criminal like Chrollo, not that you would tell him that). In fact, Chrollo will be strangely excited about becoming a father. In his mind, this sort of approaches you two more (even if you’re still clear about your rejections). He would hold you close, whisper how much he loves you, that you’re going to be parents… All while ignoring that you never wanted this in the first place. Beneath this veneer of normality, there will always be that frightening tone of someone who is beyond obsessed.
About that, it should be noted that Chrollo won’t be above using this in his attempts to manipulate you into thinking you’re better off with him and that you would be better off accepting your new life. Your protests would likely be met with a creepy smile as he points out it’s not as if you have any choice in the matter.
Would he want to put a façade of you two being happily together for the sake of the child? Maybe (at least during their first years)… Chrollo knows you don’t love him and that he is causing you pain, but while he takes no pleasure out of it, he also doesn’t regret it enough to let you go. Does he know what he is doing is wrong? Likely, but he also knows killing people is “wrong” and does it look like he cares? So chances are, he will keep acting as he always does. He won’t bother to tell the child that he is keeping you with him by force, as it’s not something that crosses his mind.
Once you tell them (or they realize it on their own), Chrollo will have no apologies to offer, nor will he lie or try to manipulate them. Yes, he can pretend to be all innocent and friendly with his prey but it is not the same with his own family. If the child tries to ask him about it, Chrollo will be honest, while feeding them the same arguments you’d expect from a Yandere: He loves mommy a lot, but mommy needs time to accept his love. He always makes sure mommy is happy, so it’s fine. He wouldn’t consciously manipulate his own child into helping him convince you to give in, but it may end up happening anyway.
Sometimes, “bad” parents try to keep their children away from their world (drug dealers want their children to never touch drugs, so on). It’s not the case with Chrollo. While the Spider will always be a priority, Chrollo would certainly hope his child would grow up to become the “next head” of the group (hell, some of the Troupe’s members might be in favor of that for all we know). Even if they start to reject his teachings, Chrollo would try to get them to see things his way, but it wouldn’t be quite in the way of a father trying to convince his child to become a doctor like him. It’s not that Chrollo would hurt them, but the child might have glimpses of Chrollo’s true nature anyway.
Once you two escape, Chrollo would do everything in his power to get you back. It doesn’t matter how. He would be worried, yes (imagine what would happen if the Mafia caught you two?), but he would also be angry, revealing the depths of his obsession with you once he has you back. Will he be relieved that you two are “safe”? Yes. But that doesn’t mean he won’t keep you two chained for a while if that’s what it takes.
Chrollo loves his children, he does, but in the messed up state of Yandere Mode, he would not accept that they don’t want to have anything to do with the Spiders (let alone that they want nothing to do with him). He would not hesitate to keep them prisoners, like he does with you (though this is not the term he would use), trying to convince them to give in and join the Spider (again, what choice do they have?).

Continuing with my reread
And got to the point where they visit the Rufeng Sect.
But before I get to the chapters-specific stuff, I wanted to talk about something that discussion between @moransumbrella and @momoliee (about SQT and RJ) made me think about.
And it’s that in 2ha, one of the big narrative points is that it is understandable to want to survive/get revenge/protect yourself or others but no goal however understandable or noble in the abstract can justify systematically hurting innocents and when you cross that line and keep crossing it, you become a monster. Maybe a tragic one or understandable one, but there is none of that “oh you poor thing, go on” attitude.
Is there any doubt that Shimei is fully justified in wanting to save his people from the horrors they are subjected to in the cultivation world? No, not at all. But leaving aside the irony of his plan wrecking both the one person we’ve seen who never ever went along with that behavior (CWN) and the person who IS part of those people and a special one at that (Moran), those two also being some of the few people who treated him so well, nobody in their right mind would think he’s justified to literally destroy a Universe he is in and then start working on the Universe of the main story. He is a monster pure and simple and nothing can justify what he does. Or, on a smaller scale take someone like Rong Jiu (mainly 0.5), Song QT, Nangong Xu or even that family in Butterfly Town. They all have reasons for doing the horrible things they do - desperation to get out of awful life (RJ, SQT), rightly wanting vengeance for having his place stolen (NX), or even understandable desire to get ahead as a family (Butterfly Town folks.) Shimei’s sister - same - she does the monstrous things she does because she loves her brother. Meatbun gets that very few people genuinely see themselves as villains - even as mad, as gone, as compelled, as broken TXJ was, he still clung to his “I was justified to torture CWN 0.5 because he killed Shimei″ like a life raft. Even a person who was not in any way in possession of free will in his actions or even his thoughts, still felt he needed to operate on a “just world” theory.
BUT the thing is, it makes their actions justified in their own heads but Meatbun never makes the mistake of letting us forget that even monsters with valid reasons are monsters. There is no justification in the world that can make what Shimei did OK, there is no justification in the world that can make anything any of the bad actors do to innocents OK. It relates to huge things (Hua Binan literally destroying the Universe) and little ones (Rong Jiu in the Underworld betraying Moran and CWN.) Sympathy and justice are two separate concepts.
But the other thing I love is nothing is static either. Meatbun doesn’t shie from calling a monster a monster but redemption is possible no matter what. We see this with Moran (until the twist, of course, that no redemption is necessary (sort of - about this more word vomit below) because he’s an even bigger victim than CWN), we see it with Shimei 2.0 - I will never warm up to Shimei for emotional reasons but there is zero question that he is working hard on his redemption at the end and is earning it. But the thing is - you have to possess moral consciousness to want to redeem yourself. That is what makes you salvageable. Moran possesses it, Shimei 2.0 possesses it (and I love the concept that no matter how high your sins, you CAN be redeemed. But that redemption doesn’t necessarily involve personal happiness or your victims forgiving you, it is basically hard work only for internal reward of the possibility of peace.) A lot of other monsters, large and small, do not.
OK, the thing about whether Moran needs redemption that I just mentioned. The quick and easy answer is “of course not.” He was probably the biggest victim of them all and none of the monstrous things he did were his fault or within his control. But I love that the answer is actually more complicated because it rings emotionally true. Moran finding out the truth near the end is wonderful and will allow him not to perpetually drown in guilt, but just as TXJ sliver doesn’t really fade into the rest of his souls, I don’t think the guilt will go away fully, not for a while. Because, aside from the concept of utter lack of volition combined with utter lack of knowledge that you actually lacked volition and deludedly thought this was all your ideas, being a whole other different trauma, the fact remains that Moran remembers feeling rage/hatred/bitter satisfaction in murder and rape and torture and burning the world. He remembers all the awful things he’s done to his most loved ones. And he clearly gloms onto “the flower brings out all your darkest/worst/most insane desires and makes them conscious thoughts” aspect of the curse - he tells CWN that the flower made real things he sometimes thought of and so it only worked because it was him and not someone better like CWN - and some of it is trying to comfort CWN and make him feel less guilty that Moran took on the flower so CWN’s won’t be forced to to - but some of it is his genuine belief. And that is what is so insidious about that curse - it twists normal stray thoughts and healthy interests into murder and insanity (compare TXJ’s obsession with CWN because Moran had such strong positive feelings about CWN before the spell, to his utter lack interest in e.g., Nangong Liu who he let run off when he took Rufeng because as long as the man didn’t fight him, he couldn’t care less what he did, because flower couldn’t turn indifference into something negative.) So I do think in addition to knowing on intellectual level about not being responsible not being equal to getting it on emotional level, Moran clearly feels responsibility because it was his emotions only out of whack and insanely perverted that the flower based its compulsions on. Moran became such a monster precisely because he has such strong loves and such strong emotions in general - strong love and desire to protect became strong hate and endless appetite for torture. The flower changes the nature of emotion and thoughts, not the level of intensity. If Shimei actually found someone who was genuinely utterly indifferent to most things (not CWN who feels so intensely; he conceals himself so much precisely because he feels SO much, cares SO much, he’d have been as much of a monster as Moran if he was the flower recepient), I am not sure he’d have been as successful. If the most someone is capable of is mild “eh,” it’s hard to turn it into a drive for world-destruction. So in a way, Taxian Jun was such a monster and so successful because Moran was so good and had such drive. Anyway, as most of my thoughts, this has gone into a random direction but the thing is, whether Moran is guilty of what TXJ did, the answer is not but not for Moran, and that’s one of the reasons I love him.
To get back to the chapters I am at, I hate Nangong Liu, one of the most despicable characters out there. Even TXJ, as messed up as he was, still hated not people who fought him fair and square or other honest villains, but people who’d kiss up only to stab you in the back, doing anything to get ahead and that is what head of Rufeng is. (There is a sentence to that extent when Moran 2.0 meets Nangong Liu - that who he hated most as TXJ was not Xue Meng or MHX but people like Nangong Liu. That loathing, like his obsession with CWN, is one of the few things consistent across any version of Moran and shows how much his “gratitude for good, straightforward is good” is embedded in him that even the flower couldn’t shove it out of him.) CWN’s comment that the reason Rufeng Sect is so rich because they charge God knows how much as opposed to Siseng Peak which charges very little and sometimes nothing, sums up the difference between the Upper and Lower cultivation realms. Rufeng is the wealthiest and most powerful and most respected but morally they are far beneath Siseng (there is a reason CWN is very gentle when he tells this to Xue ZY - CWN has about the truest and most moral heart in the series; there is a reason he stayed at Siseng, an “inferior” sect, even though everyone would love to have him. It’s because Xue ZY is righteous and he sees the wealth of Rufeng and wishes he could use it to give villages protection instead of decorating like Rufeng, because he’s that type of person.)
One of the biggest injustices to me is that Nangong Liu survives the book but Meatbun’s world is often like that. Being good does not mean a good ending, being bad does not mean proper punishment. The main OTP will make it through despite hell she puts them through, but for secondaries even those bets are off.
OK, this is getting War and Peace level long so I am going to stop.

In honor of Stone Ocean being announced (!!!), I have arisen from the dead to bring you a diatribe on this beautiful, weird they/them.
Tumblr media
So, Narciso Anasui. They don’t make no fucking sense.
Anasui wants to marry Jolyne BEFORE they meet her, unless you count the piano encounter where they did not exchange words. Anasui walks into the part trying to marry Jolyne which is... fucking insane.
Because normal people want to get married because they’re in love with someone. Anasui has never met Jolyne but is DETERMINED to marry her. It’s possible they imprinted when they saw her, more on that later, but normal people, if they're in love or even think they're in love, try multiple levels of courtship: go on a date, have sex, do sweet things together... But Anasui is Belligerent about marrying Jolyne and nothing else. Like the idea of dating or just fucking hasn't even occurred to them. Just insta-marriage.
And that's... really weird, right? That's a fixation, it means that marriage must mean something specific to them. And, even weirder, as possessive and jealous as Anasui is, it's not a weird sex thing. They’re never sexually harassing Jolyne or believe that by marrying Jolyne they'll own her in some way. Like, those are all shitty reasons to want marriage, but we've seen those before, we know what those are. But no, Anasui treats marriage as an end goal in and of itself. Like the marriage, by its existence, will... DO something.
I think Anasui knows or believes they’re in a story and believes that marriage, and specifically marrying Jolyne, the protagonist, will fix their life. Marriage is the way you trigger the Happy Ending, right? We all know from every fairy tale that that’s how it ends, the hero saves the day, marries the maiden, and they both live happily ever after. But critically, the story only ends this way for a few particular characters. The townspeople don’t get a happy ending and the villain certainly doesn’t get a happy ending, only the protags do. And Anasui is trying to be a very particular kind of protag, they’re trying to be a white knight.
I think, when they saw Jolyne, Anasui realized what kind of story this was, or saw what kind of story this could be, and decided who they wanted to be in this story to achieve the desired outcome. Like, I think this could even explain their off-screen gender transformation. They assumed, wrongly, that Jolyne wouldn't be interested in a woman and that they couldn't be a white knight as a woman, so they made themself into a man to better suit the part. All in the name of ensuring that Happy Ending.
But what’s funny about all of this, is Anasui has picked a REALLY BAD part for themself. Like, it's not native to them at all. Anasui is a relatively harmless person, but they’re an asshole. They AREN’T generous and brave and kind. They AREN’T bold and true and patient. They’re a cagey, cunning, selfish, shallow prick. So they don’t REALLY know how to do the thing they’re trying to do; they’re guessing based on vague archetype ideas. But Anasui wants SO BADLY to make this work because they’re really trying for that Happy Ending.
When we meet Anasui, they’re stuck in Emporio's room because they’re on fire, that's the On Fire room, ironically enough. Anasui doesn’t know who they are or what their part is in the story and they spend most of the part trying to figure that out and find an identity, to even find a motivation. Weather and Anasui are both stuck in there because they're waiting for their part in the story to happen, literally and metaphorically. They both WANT to be in the story and interact, but don't know how to yet. And Weather has personal reasons for interacting with the story, but Anasui doesn't. So you really gotta wonder why they’re here at all. Anasui certainly does.
But Anasui thinks that they can get something out of this story, they can get a Happy Ending. So Anasui narrates themself into the story, makes themself a part that is all but assured a happy ending if they can just execute it right. And they pick a part that is not remotely intuitive to them, but Anasui thinks that by saying it over and over again and following the pattern doggedly, they can get through this and come out the other side. What would have made more sense and would have been actually easier is starting their own arc. But, here again, Anasui shows some low-key awareness of being in a story: you can’t have your own arc if you’re not the protag. And Anasui seems genuinely aware that Jolyne is the protag, this is her story, and so fits themself into her story rather than trying to make their own story and thus a competing narrative.
But this is a hard row to hoe for Anasui and you watch them struggle over the course of Part 6 to be this thing they don’t really know how to be and how to keep their real self at bay. And it’s possible, even probable, that they may genuinely want to be better, that they find things admirable in white knights and that if they could just do that, they’d be a better, happier person. But they just... don't know how to.
Looking at it this way, Anasui's arc should have been realizing that trying to be something you're not will always fail and that you have to accept the person you are and the arc you're in, even if it's not what you wanted. In many ways this parallels closely with Weather Report, who incidentally is just about the only person who knows the real Anasui. They are both character who, for very different reasons, spend a long time as not themselves but, regrettably, know and maybe even like the real version of each other. It speaks volumes that Anasui seems to be the only person Weather doesn’t hate on sight and trusts to help him achieve his revenge. And the Anasui you see in those moments is the most competent and focused Anasui of the entire part. At that moment, Anasui isn’t trying to marry Jolyne, and thus ascend into being a different person, Anasui is just doing what they can to help, focused only on the here and now. It’s a rare, real moment. And after this moment, Anasui doesn’t seem as obsessively focused on marrying Jolyne, even when it’s closer than ever. Anasui seems to have reached some understanding that they can still have a good ending, if not a happy ending, and that participating in the story you have may be more important than forcing a story that isn’t yours.
But then the universe resets and implies that Jolyne IS with Anasui this time which is just... well, bizarre. But it really makes a fine point that Anasui is a character stuck in a loop of trying to force their life to be a certain way. That this was intentional on Araki's part to have this incoherent character who is trying to fit some idea of themself because they cannot locate a motivation of their own. Ideally, this Anasui too would realize and learn that marrying Jolyne isn't the answer to all their problems. It won't magically make them different, no matter how hard they’ve tried to pin everything on that. And that fulfillment comes from within, not without.

I started rambling about my experience with kh and then it turned into khux and then it just turned into me rambling about Ryou and my art journey????? enjoy I guess,
it’s very long but there’s art in there :)
It’s funny to think about my kh journey as a whole tbh, I grew up watching my mom play video games, which included kh1 and 2. I wasn’t allowed to play the playstation2 we owned BUT I did have a gameboy so the first game I played was CoM (after my mom finished it ofc,) so I guess you could say I’ve always been passionate about kh “””side games””” lmao but I did fall off of kh very quickly bc again, I wasn’t allowed to play our PS2 and also I Am A Terrible Gamer I’ve Never Finished CoM I’m sorry you all had to find out like this, but then 358/2 came out when I was in middle school and!!! I didn’t care and I didn’t play idk why lol
Anyway, fast forward to high school I’m like 15 and my older sister, who HAS been keeping up with kh, has a wallpaper on her phone of roxas and ventus. And bc I haven’t kept up I say “nice roxas wallpaper” and she says “thanks but it’s roxas and ventus” and I proceeded to get so mad that I was determined to prove to her that her wallpaper was just roxas twice and then I fell down the BBS rabbit hole and suddenly I was reading about vanitas and then I’m reading the fan translations of the BBS novel and I’m crying??? I am sobbing???? and that’s how I actually got into kh for real lol we are vanitas stans before we are people,
It’s so funny how I thought I was some kh super fan, knowing all this stuff that I spent so long reading and rewatching cutscene movies, but I never once, SOMEHOW NEVER ever came across khx. It’s so absurd and bizarre I seriously have no idea how I never once encountered khx prior to khux. I suppose that has to do with the fact I wasn’t involved in the fandom? In early high school I had stepped away from fandoms as a whole and I didn’t have any interest in really posting content or interacting with fans anymore bc of how burnt out I was from a previous fandom,
but khux released! and I was so hype and excited for it! on launch day I was a senior in high school, I had ran around to every “nerd” and weeb I could find in school to ask them to join my party and fun fact about me is I have crippling social anxiety I literally refuse to start conversations irl so holy shit I was OUT HERE doing the MOST
My player just originally had my name (Matt) but everyone in my party had fun names so Ryou was born! High school was one big yugioh phase for me and ryou bakura is one of my favorite characters ever so it was just the logical name choice lol I quickly started creating Ryou, the character, as well. I was also leaving my homestuck phase and that + vanitas obsession made This character design (art circa 2016)
Tumblr media
If y’all are familiar with my kh oc’s you might notice that keyblade now belongs to my kid Monty LOL
Anyway that got scrapped quickly for the chip and dale outfit (which is where Ryou’s trademark goggles are from <3) Goggles have been a staple of my character designs for a LONG TIME so like, it had to be done, (that’s a separate ramble about a separate oc tho)
OG Ryou was an interesting guy; he was a young party leader with this overwhelming responsibility on his shoulders bc of his status as a party leader. In his original story, he also struggled heavily with darkness, much like Terra but for Ryou it was more that the darkness was controlling him and not like a source of power like it was for Terra
Tumblr media
A big part of early Ryou I kept, however, was the crushing awareness of loss. One of my party members (the strongest one at the time,) had left without saying a word and I was very confused and hurt. This was around the time the ephemera plot was happening so I decided to incorporate it into Ryou’s story; having him experience losing a friend to darkness since it’s so normal for wielders in Daybreak Town to just disappear, and this would unintentionally become a theme for both me and Ryou as khux friends would just randomly disappear.
I was desperate for khux at this point and I decided to watch the fan translations for khx and GOD, god, was I obsessed. I couldn’t stop thinking about the foretellers. And I’m not going off about that here bc I already did that, but I actually started entering fandom again! I did it slowly, I started on tumblr before this blog was made altho it was me sending anons to the few khux related blogs I could have lol a friend convinced me to get twitter where I got involved with the ffxv fandom, which led me to the kh fandom and eventually the khux fandom there which is what REALLY got me going on khux.
I joined discord servers, most of the servers I’m in are khux related, and from there I joined the khux oc rp (shout out to anyone there who might be reading this lol here’s some art from the beginning of the rp,)
Tumblr media
It’s SO FUNNY how the RP influenced me so heavily. I hadn’t RP’d in YEARS, I used to have a strict no oc rp policy, but here I was? And the funny part is, I had barely developed Ryou. I had scrapped his original story and all I had was POST WAR Ryou so I literally had to reverse write him; I had only ever written him as a depressed, guilt ridden adult, but it was a fucking blast and I have such fond memories of this rp when it was active,
But anyway, this encouraged me to get more serious about art! I started drawing, writing, cosplaying, and roleplaying when I hadn’t done any of that stuff in a very long time. The first time I ever drew a background was for a deviant art khux competition actually LOL
Tumblr media
also! I always think extremely fondly of the drawing I did of Aced in the keyblade war. It was also one of the first backgrounds I ever drew and it felt like my real starting point in the khux fandom. It got a ton of notes on here and someone wrote a tiny fic in a reblog which just made me SO HAPPY like it really felt like people were noticing me :) I was going to draw a matching Ira but!! I just never did!! One day tho, it’s on my art bucket list to redraw this along with Ira,
Tumblr media
Aside from my personal growth, khux was great for my social life ngl, I made SO MANY friends online and got to meet a ton of people irl over the years! It’s crazy to think about all the people I now know and talk to? It honestly makes me really emotional. I’ll never forget taking the train into NYC and meeting up with discord friends. Going to conventions and talking with people about the latest khux update? Absolutely insane and those were some GOOD TIMES, if I thanked every khux friend or even just person who made an impact on me then we’d be here for a LONG TIME,
Tumblr media
Fun fact, for my Lauriam cosplay all I needed to buy was the wig I just owned his outfit LOL also? Probably retiring that cosplay ngl people treated me like absolute garbage when I wore him and it led to a lot of confidence issues for awhile ngl. That’s probably one of the only memorable negative experiences I have with khux; it was great when khux people recognized me but for kh fans that weren’t in khux? They were FUCKING MEAN??? fuck kh fandom at large, I only care about khux fandom,
This leads me to another huge part of my experience in khux fandom: THEORIES!! I used to write SO MANY and oh my god my brain was so full all the time. It was a huge appeal for me in the fandom; I had been previously writing theory posts in the RWBY fandom and it just migrated over to khux for me lol I had done a ton of theorizing around Lauriam tbh, it was really the only reason I liked his character at all bc initially I did not care about the dandelions, anyone who wasn’t Skuld I was like “please leave Now thanks”
A funny part of khux fandom I never intended to be apart of is the MEMES, I really only started doing memes as stress relief bc college had me so busy all I had time/energy for was these quick little shit post drawings.
Tumblr media
The first meme I made, file name “invi despair” LOL we need to get her a girlfriend smh anyway, I think in my senior year of college I did a bunch of rapid fire memes all in one month bc the stress of finals was getting so bad afdgfhdgf as far as I know my impact on this fandom will be my memes bc all I do now is enter a kh/khux server and introduce myself and I go “yeah I draw art. here’s a meme” and everyone goes OH YOU, honestly I am nothing if not a clown
Tumblr media
I’ve talked so much idk where I’m going with this. Khux is just a good game even if the gameplay actually kind of really sucks yknow lol but it was the first game I played where I like, REALLY got into the meta and the mechanics. I used to read so much on the mechanics and watch youtube videos on which medals were worth pulling for. I was never a whale or a top player exactly, but I could rank well if I tried lol I’ve made it to the top 100 for solo rankings, my party has made it to top 10, and in pvp I’ve made top 300. I’m not the highest level in my party but FUCK do I know how to manipulate this game LOL
And with all that hard work, the strategies, the theorizing, the content I’ve made-- it’s been my life for 5 years. I’ve logged into khux almost every single day. At the end, I have logged 1820 days in khux out of 1910 days. Kinda crazy. Crazier I’ve never spent money on khux either lol the only “money” gone into it was one time my mom gave me a google play store gift card and I used it on my birthday for a VIP xemnas medal which eventually made it to regular pulls anyway but it was nice and a little treat :)
Tumblr media
I’m not a gacha fan, I don’t care for it, so I don’t think I’ll be touching another gacha again. But for kh? This was pretty fucking awesome, even if it sucked a lot sometimes LOL It was worth it for the people I’ve met most of all I think. I would honestly be a completely different person without khux and that’s REALLY insane to think about.

VK Character Analysis: Shizuka Hiou
Once in high school, an old friend who also read VK asked me who my favorite character was, and when I said Shizuka, she was shocked. Now her favorite was Zero, and she thought I hated Zero since I liked Shizuka, his enemy.
That is not true, I don’t hate Zero. For some reason, some Zero fans seem to think anyone that likes Shizuka hates Zero. There is NO correlation between liking Shizuka and hating Zero. Some people love them both, while some people hate them both.
Anyway, my friend seemed appalled when I told her my fav character and she asked me why. At that age I wasn’t the most articulate or the most patient, so I simply told her, “just because.” So, now that I have free time and because her question had bothered me for a while, I decided I should write down my thoughts on why I love Shizuka.
                                                            XXX
First of all, Shizuka was NOT actually insane.
Medically speaking, “insanity” is associated with conditions like bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. There is no indication in the manga or anime that she exhibited any signs or symptoms of those diseases, such as hallucinations or delusions.
The regular definition of insane is to exhibit a severely disordered state of mind or to be affected with mental illness. Even by this definition, Shizuka was not insane.
She was aware of her actions and of what is right and what is wrong. The only time she can be considered “insane” is right after her lover was killed, when she was so overcome by grief and anger she could not think straight and focused on revenge without stopping to think who the real enemy was (cough, Rido). And in that state of severe emotional turmoil she went after the Kiryuus. But I do not think that can be considered true insanity, because it was a onetime occurrence.
Tumblr media
Shizuka knows that she was wrong to kill the Kiryuus, because they were simply following orders and doing their job, and also because the real mastermind behind her lover’s death was Rido. She even acknowledges that her actions in regard to the Kiryuu parents and Zero were “sinful”, whereas a truly crazy person probably is unable or unwilling to admit that. If anyone were actually insane in VK, it would probably be Rido.
                                                           XXX
Secondly, she did NOT attack the Kiryuus out of a random whim or desire to do evil things.
All readers should already know this, since Hino explicitly states that Shizuka was motivated by revenge. Shizuka ONLY went after the Kiryuus because they wronged her first.
Tumblr media
They killed her ex-human, the only person she ever loved. Hunters are only supposed to kill crazed level E’s and vampires that have harmed humans, but her lover was none of that. He should not have been killed by those standards.
But the Kiryuus were simply following orders without question, and killed someone they shouldn’t have, and thus they were killed in return.
For hunters, being killed by vampires seeking revenge is not a shocking end. Even Zero’s mom mentioned that, when they were packing, saying they should move soon so vampires do not find out where they lived. People who kill tend to get killed too, that’s just the reality of that sort of life. Zero’s parents were not normal, innocent civilians, they were people that killed vampires for a living. Thus, I don’t think Shizuka killing them is so shocking and unforgivable. I can understand why she attacked the Kiryuus, although it is still wrong (because hate breeds more hate, and the idea of an eye for an eye is not good).
What was truly unforgivable was that Shizuka turned Zero into a vampire, to hurt his parents as much as she can. This is where she went too far in her vengeance because children are innocent, it was only the parents that should be punished. And yes, I acknowledge that these actions are bad, even if I am her fan, I am not blind to her flaws.
Anyway, Shizuka would never have bothered crossing paths with the Kiryuus if they had never killed her lover.
                                                            XXX
Thirdly, although she was an antagonist in the story, she had her own moral code. She was not evil, and rather more of a neutral grey, and I appreciate characters like that.
She wasn’t like Rido, who used even his own son as a tool, and who did not care for anyone. Shizuka cared for Ichiru, despite the fact that he was her enemy’s son. She felt a sort of kinship with him because they were both alone and had nowhere to go. She gave him her own blood and flesh and refused to turn him the whole time they were together, even when she was dying, because she knew he would have been in more danger if he was a vampire instead.
Tumblr media
Ichiru understood that she genuinely cared for him, because even when he was dying, he asked Zero to not hate her, even if Zero can’t forgive her.
Tumblr media
Shizuka also kept her promise to Maria and gave the sickly girl her blood to make her better (in comparison, Rido just took over Senri’s body without asking for permission or giving him anything in return).
And thus Shizuka is a sympathetic villain, and Hino points that out in the interlude chapter where Ichiru comments how Shizuka was “beautiful even as she was dying”, in contrast to Rido, who Kaname once referred to as “the dregs of an ugly obsession.”
Even Kaname felt sympathy for her, because when he killed her, he didn’t just let her drop to the floor but caught her and laid her down carefully on the floor. He also assured her that he would not let her life be wasted, and that he would definitely end Rido.
                                                              XXX
And finally, she was a very tragic character, a victim of circumstances herself.
Tumblr media
(This is her history, taken straight from her character profile in the official fan guide)
Shizuka was locked up in a cage as soon as she was born, because apparently some members of the Hio clan had also gone berserk before.
(On a side note, I doubt the Hious had a genetic defect leading to mental illness, it was probably a circumstantial thing, like how Rido most likely started off sane but life took directions that pushed him off the edge towards the end. After all, they are purebloods and their genes are supposed to be flawless. And Rido…I have so many thoughts about that dude, but I will save them for another post.)
Hino never stated how old Shizuka was, but since we know that Rido, Haruka, and Juri are “over 3000” according to the guidebook, she is probably around that age. If we treat the Fleeting Dreams novel as canon, then Shizuka is probably even younger than Juri, because Rido mentions that Shizuka was still “a tiny child” when his parents kept Juri away from him and engaged him to Shizuka instead. So, I assume that Shizuka spent almost 3000 years, her whole life, locked up in a cage with barely any company, except maybe the occasional visitor (like how child Kaname visited her once).
3000 years is a long, long time. To put it into perspective, the USA as a country is roughly 250 years old. So she was locked in a cage, all by herself for the timespan it would take 12 USAs to rise and fall. It is really a wonder how she did not actually go crazy and end up more damaged than she was!
Besides the tragedy of having her freedom taken away, no one loved or cared about her, something mentioned by both Maria and the guidebook. Shizuka herself commented that she was envious of Yuki, who had been cherished, unlike her.
Tumblr media
(A bit of a tangent, but I am quite curious what happened to Shizuka’s parents. Why did they just let her be locked up? It is very irresponsible to bring a child into the world if you aren’t going to bother taking care of it. And it seemed she had family members because Kaname later on killed the head of the Hio clan. IDK what her familial relationship with that particular Hio man was, but she seemed to have been neglected by her own clan.)
Anyway, everyone probably treated her warily, like a bomb that might explode at any time. She was basically an outcast. Take for example how Aidou says it is unlucky to even mention her.
Tumblr media
If there was someone besides her dead lover, Ichiru, and Maria, who did not treat her with suspicion or fear, it was probably Rido, and he certainly did not treat her well either. Ichiru mentions that Rido was the one who imprisoned her and changed the hunter list. Based on that, I assume Rido directly ordered her locked up, or used his influence with the Senate to have them lock her up. Either way, the dude had something to do with it.
Besides locking her up, Rido most likely treated her poorly, him being the way he is. His main issue with her is that she refused to become obedient like Senri’s mom. And IDK about the rest of you, but whenever a man says he wants to make a woman “obedient”, I get bad vibes. He probably did some shady and questionable things in his attempts to make her docile.
Tumblr media
If Shizuka had been engaged to someone else other than Rido, someone more normal, like Isaya, her life would probably have been more bearable. Although Rido did not want her because he was unhealthily obsessed with Juri, he had to ruin Shizuka’s life and happiness instead of just letting her be. He did that out of some petty reasoning, basically “If I can’t be happy, you can’t be happy either”. His decision to put her lover on the execution list led to many tragedies.
This man is really the root of all evil in VK, LOL.
                                                              XXX
Finally, after all those centuries of loneliness, Shizuka met someone who treated her well, for the first time. Thus, her attachment to her ex-human lover was extremely strong, and it made sense why she could not move on, why she was so consumed by revenge. Unlike normal people who can find solace being comforted by friends and family, she doesn’t have that kind of support. And furthermore, she is a pureblood, all of whom have been shown to form extremely strong attachments to the ones they love, and have trouble moving on.
And regarding her lover, we can’t even be sure if he loved her back. Shizuka said that he most likely never forgave her until the end for turning him, and that he never yielded to her, but went with her when she proposed running away together because remaining with her was his only option. Honestly, her lover didn’t seem too happy being with her, or if he did care for her, their relationship was still strained and angsty, not the simple, lovey-dovey relationship Haruka and Juri had.
Overall, her romance was ill-fated, they simply would have never worked out because they were supposed to be predator and prey. I have a feeling that even if the Kiryuus hadn’t been assigned to kill him, she and her ex-human would not have had a happy ending regardless.
Anyway, after Shizuka lost him, she also lost her will to live. She only hung on to life out of the desire to kill Rido, but she wasn’t even seriously trying. Her biggest desire was to die, and we can see that in how she didn’t bother resisting when Kaname killed her. When she laid on the floor dying, she looked the most peaceful she had ever been. Later on, Maria (mistakenly thinking it was Zero who killed her) also commented that Shizuka probably wanted Zero to kill her. Sara also said Shizuka lost her will to live and mentioned how she doesn’t want to become like her.
Tumblr media
Finally, Shizuka was definitely tragic, because even Kaname who killed her pitied her, commenting: “It’s sad isn’t it? I wonder if anyone truly understood her.”
Tumblr media
I love this character partly because I feel so bad for her. While Zero suffered early on, he eventually got to marry the girl he loved and had a daughter with her. Kaname also got to be with Yuki, had a daughter with her and got to meet both daughters and experience being with family when he was revived. But Shizuka…her whole life was a tragedy, and the only time she was happy was that brief period when she was with her lover. However, the time she spend with him was a tiny drop, almost nothing compared to how long her life was overall.
A lot of characters in VK had sadness in their lives, but her life struck me as the worst. If I had to pick someone to be in VK, it would definitely not be her.
IMO, her life was screwed the moment she got engaged to Rido. Even though she wasn’t crazy, she was still locked up and treated like she was. Her circumstances/fate pushed her to make the choices she did and end up a villain. If fate had been kinder to her, she would not have become a villain at all.
Other reasons I love her are because of how beautiful and elegant she is, how she has an air of mystery and sadness, and how her story just interested me the most.
And I get that other people still hate/dislike her regardless of everything I mentioned, and that is alright. This is not meant to convince people to like her, but to explain why I personally love her. So don’t come at me trying to tell me why she is evil and I should be ashamed for liking her okay? (ง'̀-'́)ง
So! If you ever read this long post, Hazel, now you know why she is my favorite character.ヽ(ಠ_ಠ)ノ

Headcanons for (Freddy Krueger, Inkubus, Mayor Buckman, Dr. Andover) being obsessed with/having a twisted "crush" on (one of) their latest victim(s), if you do not mind terribly. Maybe there's just *something* about them...But she fights and refuses.
First off, all the Englund character group?! Yes, omg PLEASE. This is gonna be so fun to do, I can feel it! And then the angst, the pining! Ahhh! Anon, bless you. I hope I’ve done well!
Tumblr media
Freddy
He wasn’t the one to usually pine for anyone, the only thing he craved, the thing he wanted was their soul. That was it, that’s how it always went. But something was off, something about them just sparked the need and want that he NEVER felt for anyone on this level. It was ridiculous and he wanted to cast the thoughts from his head immediately, but it kept gnawing at the back of his mind no matter what he did.
At first, he stalked them like he did any normal victim, but with every visit, she noticed the shift in their dreams, how it went from demonic and terrifying to a seemingly more intimate setting. She wasn’t exactly upset by the change, but when she started seeing him more and more, it was unnerving and it made her feel real danger when she was asleep.
Freddy would try so desperately to convince her that she was special, that she was something that was never supposed to happen, but she doesn’ like where this is going. She HATES it. She just wants to dream normally and live her life when she’s awake, but he tries so hard to not let her go. This is his realm and will do everything in his power to keep her here with him.
When she begins to fight it and try to escape, his twisted sense of reality doesn’t seem to register at first, he tries to show her just how wonderful it can be to be here in the dream realm with him. Why would you be so stupid as to reject that? It’s bliss. He would try to show her over and over again, to prove that he was worth seeing a different side to. If she didn’t agree, what would he do, exactly?
Marking her up would be such a delicious joy, showing her that he was displaying his loyalty to her, showing her what NO ONE else had ever earned before from him, not even when he was bound to a mortal body. He wanted to hurt her in the best way possible to show her how being with him would be better than ecstasy, better than living in her usual dull, mundane world. He would show her what living could be.
That urge to feel the hot blood run from her by his blades would flash in his mind as she would look up at him in complete and utter fear, the fact that she was denying him, a pathetic human fool who knew nothing of the things she could have gotten. To hell with her, she would end up just like any other victim he had in his realm. It was either bow to him or die by his hand. ‘Make your choice, princess.’
Tumblr media
Inkubus
Who wouldn’t want him to sweep them off their feet and make them feel so good all the time? It would be impossible to resist his charm, especially with all of the magic he was able to hold, to use to influence anyone and everyone he desired. But she was the one special case that he had never expected to come upon. He spotted her taking a walk alone, the sway of her hips and the look in her eyes, he would have her, he would pass on his festering seed to live another life for 100 years within her. He needed to have her.
What a surprise though, she wanted nothing to do with him. His magic, his aura, his charms, they all failed him. How would one like her be able to disregard his magic and just swat him away as if he were another typical pest? Pathetic, he needed to try harder. She continuously shot him down no matter what he did or how hard he tried, but he refused to believe she couldn’t stand him, so he decided to follow her and send her little gifts here and there. It was easy to find where she lived.
He would creep in the shadows of her place, whether it was when she was alone or when she had guests, but no matter who was there, they’d all think they were going insane. Seeing shadows from the corner of their eyes wasn’t normal, but they’d all ignore it until one day she snaps and loses her cool, crying out for him not to hurt her. She would beg for her life as he would reveal himself to her, hoping that she’d just see him and something would light up in her eyes and realize just how wrong she had been to reject his advances.
When he realizes that she tries to go for a weapon to protect herself with, he realizes the truth of it all; he cannot reach her and she would never accept him willingly. When it hits him, he’s appalled by the fact she wants nothing more than to get him out of her life, readily standing there with a kitchen knife as she cowers in the corner. He would have given her the world, why can’t she see that? Inkubus only saw red after that.
Why won't she see it? He would look down upon her with mercy, something that hadn't been done in so many centuries for the demon that it was completely foreign to him as it was said upon his tongue. His blade would reveal itself with a slick sound, his face no longer holding the affection it once did for her, and she knew that she had made a mistake. He watched and listened as she begged for her life, pleading with him to give her another chance, but he saw right through her desperate lies.
When he looked at her and saw the potential, he was almost disappointed that it would go to waste so easily. She was special, he thought as his hands weaved through her hair, yanking her up to meet his gaze so he could stare her in the face as his expression remained blank. “We could have been so much,” he would say as he sliced her throat open and watched the blood come streaming down her front. At least he would be able to bathe in this for later.
Tumblr media
Mayor Buckman
Lord in Heaven knows this man should not be cahootin’ with living people and falling head over heels for one, but there he was, completely smitten with her. She was going to be another side dish for the main course for this year's Jubilee, just like it had always been each year prior, but even his boys had noticed the change in him. Granny Boone had been so wrapped up in preparing for the feast that she hadn't even noticed her own husband's distance, that is until she noticed her.
She was so pure and full of life that she had seemed more than willing to stay for the barbecue, the little detour had proven to be more exciting than she had anticipated, so she offered to even help around the town if they allowed it. Buckman was taken by that kind of offer, especially from a Yankee, it was unheard of and it wouldn't sway his mind. But the more he learned about her, the more she had spoken about her life, the mayor was strangely drawn to her like she was the one.
It was a ridiculous idea since she was alive and very much younger than he, but no matter how much he tried to convince himself it was some sort of fever he had been suffering, anything that would easily explain the feelings he had been having. What he didn't expect was to come to the conclusion that he would fancy her. No one could know about this, but he wasn't making it very discreet the next morning. He would walk up to her, that large grin plastered to his face as he'd explain there was so much to do here in Pleasant Valley, all the things she could occupy her time with. She would thank him but feel rather uneasy by how touchy he'd get with his hand always placed on her shoulder.
The day after, he would have to tell her how he was feeling or else he'd lose her entirely to either her leaving or her being served up on a silver platter for his townsfolk. When he had caught her alone, away from her friends, he stuttered like a madman and felt so odd, it was a wonder he was able to speak at all. During this entire confession, the young woman stood there in uncomfortable silence and shifted slightly, already planning to leave as soon as she possibly could to avoid any more of this. When she didn't share Buckman’s views, he grew reserved and upset, curious as to why she would treat him like this, like some common man. He even explained there was something about her that he couldn't stop thinking about.
She recoiled from his touch and he looked at her in confused disgust. How could he be so blind, she was nothing like him and she would never accept him or his way of life. He pleaded with her, tried to convince her to think otherwise, but the harsh words that followed did not make Buckman too happy. He looked at her in silence and then walked away; he couldn't find the words to tell her just how infuriated he had been. He was going to try and find a way for them to be together, whether she would have been alive or not, but he was willing to make it work. She was ungrateful.
Her time had come as she had been cornered, the rest of her friends dead and already being cooked for the Jubilee, where she had been on the ground, shaking like mad. She wanted her life to be spared, she wouldn't tell a soul about what transpired, she promised. Those promises always came up empty. Buckman looked down on the poor soul, annoyed at himself for once feeling pity for that wretched girl, but now he felt his power return once again as he stood over her, his trusty sword in his hand. It would have to be him to take her life, he wouldn't want it any other way.

Doctor Andover
He had no time for trivial things such as infatuations and crushes on others, it would interfere with his work and it wouldn’t be a great idea to get anyone involved in his...complicated personal life. But when she walked through the door of the clinic, Andover didn’t expect much from the consultation, until she spoke to him. She was something else, that was for sure, and the phobia that brought her into the clinic was more than curable for Andover. He would have to lie though, to prolong her stay and keep her here with him, naturally, he would have to lie to his assistant’s as well for the benefit of keeping her around.
When she comes in to speak to the good doctor for several one on one meetings about her phobia, she eases into conversation with him and even feels she can trust him with what she’s suffered through. He feels the same, he feels so connected to her now that he felt as if no one else beyond this room existed but the both of them. How he imagined what she would feel like against his hands, how she would sound as they shared a moment together in secrecy. Andover craved it now, he wanted nothing but her. Soon after she had been placed in the Fear Chamber, he would watch her as she slowly drifted off into unconsciousness and he would be sure to have the room locked so he could just enjoy her presence in peace.
When her fears had been slowly getting in check, she would thank him and talk about leaving his facility. He wanted nothing more than to be with her for as long as possible while he helped her, aided her in getting better. She would only accept his help since she saw him as a professional, he would guide her to being better, feeling better. What she didn’t anticipate was that one day, he offered to pay for her room and board outside of the facility if it were to make her comfortable. It didn’t.
When she insisted that she didn’t need that, that she was leaving indefinitely, he only fought harder to keep her there, to stay near him. She was the one keeping him going with all of this insanity around him, especially when something greater was happening that he wasn’t fully aware of. Today was the day her treatment ended and she was packing her things when Doctor Andover appeared in the doorway. “You must come with me, I have one last thing for you for your therapy.” He led her to the room with the Fear Chamber, but she was so taken back when he pushed her inside, gassing her to sleep with a deadly amount.
She cried out to be released, she just wanted to go back home, but Andover was already committed to keeping her there for himself. He had made a deal with whatever creature fed from the patients’ fear, that he would get to keep her there with him in exchange for the others. He blindly and willingly accepted it. It was foolish but it was a deal he couldn’t go back on. Before she lost consciousness, she begged him to see reason, but now there had been no going back for Andover.
After it had been done and she fell asleep, her hand slowly sliding down the front of the glass as she drifted, her fears came back twice as strong as her new fear developed into her subconscious, and it took the shape of Andover himself. Even in her slow and agonizing death, he would always be there for her, whether it was to torment her through her afterlife or just show up as some twisted guardian. He watched over her for weeks until he could no longer keep the body, but he would have her in her mind forever.

Yandere types
1. Sans ‘ The Judge ‘ - He is a very delusional yandere. He loves Antagonist with every fiber in his body and he wants everyone to know that she loves him too. He will stop at nothing to get her, because he loves her. His biggest goal is to get claimed. Something that is very clear for his yandere type is that he loves collecting clothing pieces from his lover. He also has a very lucid imagination, and if Antagonist doesn't clearly tell him something is wrong, he will talk himself into not minding it. Killing and kidnapping is something he's not above.  2. Papyrus ‘ The Liar ‘  - He's a delusional yandere. He is very narcissistic and loves himself, that's why gaining him as a yandere is very hard, as it would take a lot of make him even consider you as a possible lover. Of course, after that happens, he is very dangerous. He believes that his lover loves him because he is perfect for them. He's perfect for everyone. He doesn't like kidnapping, but if his lover won't stop trying to be hard to get, then he is not above doing that. He doesn't like killing, but he does know people who would kill for him.  3. Red ‘ The Sentry’  -   He's one of the most normal characters in the story. As long as he isn't driven to madness, people wouldn't notice that he is a yandere, but when he becomes, he is hardcore about it. He is affection and attention starved. To drive him insane, is pretty easy. Get him to be your friend and then stop giving him constant affection. He will go completely insane, willing to take you away as far as needed, just so you would be all of his. If he sees anyone getting more attention than him, as long as it's not his brother, he is willing to kill that person.
4. Boss ‘The Guard Captain’  -  He's one of those people who you do not know is a yandere until it's too late. He doesn't understand human feelings a lot, so it's hard for him to show his affection. For the lack of his affection, he gives with gifts and money. He is willing to do absolutely anything to make his lover happy, and will take everything they say as their wish. Of course, if driven him to absolute madness, he is not afraid to kill his lover so they would be his perfect little doll.
5. Lucky ‘ The Manipulator’  -  He is a very jealous person. So, it's not a surprise that he's a very jealous yandere too. He shows unhealthy expectations in friendships and relationships from the very beginning. For example, he wants to be the only important person and thing for his friend/lover. It's not a surprise that when he becomes a yandere, he doesn't want to share. He wants to be the only person that's important in his lover's life, and if killing everyone else is the key, he is willing to do that. He's the type of yandere who's willing to hurt his lover to teach them a lesson if they try to fight against him too much.
6. Stretch ‘ The Puppet ‘   -   There isn't much to say about him. He is a young guy who needs guidance, and had never been shown what normal love is like, nor how to treat his own feelings. He is the type of person who will go and hurt his lover, when his lover isn't willing to give him what he wants. As a yandere, he wants to monopolize his lover and well, it's the most basic type of yandere. Kidnapping is possible, but he doesn't have the money to have a place where to hide his lover, nor does he have an idea how to do it. The worse he can do is rape his lover and well, it's not good.
7. Razz ‘ The Lord ‘ -  He's the worship type of yandere. He wants to show that his lover is the best. The moment that he becomes a yandere, he drops the lover part, and completely goes insane with his part. He doesn't see his lover as a living being anymore, but as a god that needs to be worshipped. He's willing to do absolutely anything to protect his lover and he will collect everything that his lover leaves behind. How could he waste anything?
8. Mutt ‘ The Wild Dog’  - He's a simple yandere too. An obsessive yandere, but just because he is a simple yandere, don't put him off. He has his way around, and he knows how to make someone disappear without causing people to question stuff. We need to also remember that he has someone as Razz to back him up, and Razz works in the police force. Mutt is very obsessive. He wants to know everything about his lover, to have everything of his lover. He is not belong kidnapping his lover, not belong killing for his lover, not belong drugging and raping his lover for his own pleasure.
9. Blackberry ‘ The WannaBe Guard ‘ - He's an interesting character. He shows one side, but is actually different. He has one pursue and it's to start a family, to get a kid or two or a dozen and then drop his 'lover'. He shows a clingy side, but believe me when I say that that's not how he actually is. If you manage to get him to become a yandere, he will drop his act and his lover's life will become a living hell.
10. Patch ‘ The Loyal Pet ‘ - This yandere is similar to Blackberry. He doesn't show his interest in someone or shows too much interest, but the thing is, when you actually get him as a yandere, things start to get extremely bad then. He might seem normal, but people around you will start dying. He will always be there when you need him the most and he knows everything about you, even if you never told him anything. In the end, one day you will wake up locked in his basement, and that's when your true life starts.
11.  Hickory ‘ The Butcher ‘ - This is a stalker yandere. You might think 'oh, this is another simple yandere' and you would be completely wrong. He takes it too far, and let me explain why. He is a type of yandere that wants to watch his lover. He doesn't need to even be part of his lover's life, he needs to watch them. He gets pleasure for that, and he actually finds it a turn off getting affection from his lover. What he wants is his lover and his younger brother to get together so he could watch them from afar have their perfect life.
12. Tatters ‘ The Cannibal ‘ - He doesn't understand love, that's why he can mistake his feelings for friendship. He get's addicted to people easily, but only to one at a time. He starts needing that person and he gets angry when he doesn't get them. He is dangerous in the sense that he has the backing of Hickory to get anything done. Another thing is that he never hides anything away. It's good, as if he would kidnap his lover, he would accidentally tell it to everyone and have his lover rescued, unless Hickory gets involved. Because then, that would not happen.
13. Echo ‘ The PlayBoy’  - Oh heavens dearest. This is a nasty yandere. He loves to break down his lover completely. He doesn't feel anything for his lover usually and will leave them when he finishes with what he wanted to do with them. Of course, if his lover is smart enough, they will manage to turn the tables and make him the one addicted to his lover. That's when his true yandere side starts to show. A nasty, jealous side, in which he wants his lover to only belong to him and is willing to kill others to reach that goal of his.
14. Green ‘ The BookWorm’  - He is bad at relationships, that's why his yandere type is very dangerous too in a normal situation. He is a loneliness inducing yandere. Showing emotions for him is almost impossible, as he is not interested in romance. What he wants is someone he knows he owns. He will try to make everyone hate his lover and make it so that he would be the only person that his lover can come and be with. Of course, it's possible to turn it around and teach him how to love, but it will be a long time before that happens.
15. Solaris/Dusttale Sans ‘ The Murderer ‘ - He's a bizarre yandere. He doesn't care for the same things as the other yanderes. What he wants, what he needs is something a little bit more. He needs to have stuff that came from his lover's body. For example, hair, nails, old skin. It's small, but something he needs. He's also willing to kill his lover and keep their dead body near him so he would have access to everything more. His level of Lv completely blinds any sense of guilt for him, so anything goes with him.
16. Hound/Dustswapfell Papyrus 'The feeling addict' - He's a lonely yandere. He regrets what he has done to everyone he loves every single day and the pain his killing him. He wants to become better, but is afraid of even asking for forgiveness. He desires for affection and can get violent when he will not get it. Even if he is regretful for what he has done, he is not afraid to kill anyone else in his way of having all of his lover's attention. Even his lover themselves.
17. Dings/Underswap Gaster ‘ The RiverMan ‘ - A very manipulative man. Who do you think Lucky learned from? He is abusive, mostly emotionally, and is not afraid to make his lover go to a point of wanting to kill themselves just to save them and make them feel like he is their own ally. He is dangerous and he is willing to kill others. He has the complete control over his sons and can use them to get to his lover without much trouble.
18. Aster/Underfell Gaster ‘ The Failed Scientist ‘ - At the very beginning, he will act like a gentleman, but as he enters in a relationship, he will show his dark side. He is abusive, physically and he's not afraid to hurt his lover and children if they don't listen to him. He will kill people who get in his way and he will keep his lover until the day he completely can't handle them and kills them. Yes, the only way to get rid of him is by him killing you.
19. Gaster/Undertale Gaster ‘ The Forgotten Scientist ‘ - He is a cold yandere. He doesn't really have time for his lover, but he will show some signs of being a yandere. For example, showing extreme jealousy when there is no reason for it. Show his less than pleasant possessiveness and of course, when he would start talking about love, it would spiral into something insane. He wants to own his lover and if his lover is not willing to accept that, then he is willing to kill them.
20.Rust/horrorfell Gaster 'The man who speaks in screams ' - He is a sweet man, who has been through a lot. He wants just to have someone that he could call his own and someone who would be a good mother for his two children. He is partially blind, so it is hard for him. He's happy when he finds someone that is just perfect for him. He is a pathetic yandere. He is willing to cry and beg on his knees for his lover to love him and not leave and he's willing to dust himself if that will prove his love to his lover. That's the while reason why he is partially blind.
21. Spice/Underlust Sans ‘ The Lover ‘ - He is quite a fun type of person. He doesn't mind sharing his lover and jealousy is never something that you should worry about him. What you should worry about him is that he will take keepsakes with himself of his lover and he is not afraid to hurt people who he thinks are not good enough for his lover. He doesn't mind sharing, but he needs to approve of them before he even thinks of doing anything like that.
22. Sugar/Underlust Papyrus ‘ The Friend-With-Benefits ‘ - He is a little bit similar to how Spice is, but in a worse case scenario. He only wants to share with his brother and anyone else is not something he would even consider. Jealousy is a very huge thing with him if someone else besides his brother interacts with his lover. He can get violent if he doesn't get what he wants, but he will always apologizes and try to do his best to make his lover forgive him.
23.Cotton/Lustswapfell Sans 'The Authoritative slut' - He is a very serious person in general, but well, even serious people have needs. He is a very loving lover in secret and very strict in public. He will try to get his lover with his own charms, but if that will fail, he is willing to kidnap his lover. He is manipulative, so making his lover break and start loving him isn't a hard task for him. Just know that if he will reprogram his lover, he will reprogram them as he wants completely. And you do NOT want that.
24. Lavander/Lustfellswap Papyrus 'The Affection seeker' - As a yandere, compared to most, he is very tame. He is a mix of being a clingy and obsessive yandere. He wants to know everything about his lover, and he wants to always only have their attention. Jealousy with this yandere rises a lot, especially if his Lover hangs out with someone that he believes to be better than him. He becomes very jealous and in general, it's best to avoid that, as he's not afraid to kidnap his lover, or hurt people around his lover.
25. Delta/Asylumtale Sans ‘ The Maniac ‘ - He has three personalities and that makes him an unpredictable yandere. His normal, Sans personality makes him to be a very cold and distant yandere, but who wants to know that he owns his lover. His Delta personality, makes him a very love sick yandere, who NEEDS to be in the presence of his lover and is willing to kill to reach that level with his lover. His Papyrus personality is a violent yandere, who is willing to heavily hurt his lover to teach them a lesson on how to treat him.
26. Daisy/Asylumtale Alphys 'The therapist' - After losing her lover, Undyne, she became very distant from everyone. If she would ever find someone who would fit her preferred type, someone who could stand in the place Undyne did, she would get obsessed with the idea of changing the person to be a perfect replica of Undyne. Willing to do anything just to be able to get her Undyne back in her loving arms.
27. Eros/Altertale Sans 'The gentle giant' - The only thing he needs is a family and he's willing to do anything to get that. He can't have children on his own anymore, that's why he is obsessed with finding his own little wife with little kids. He will be a perfect parent! He will do absolutely anything to be a wonderful husband. And well, if he will find his perfect little family, he is willing to make sure that the husband/father is out of the picture. Besides, he would be a better parent either way.
28. Nebula/Alterswap Sans 'The benevolent ruler' - He is very lonely. He wants to know that someone loves him. That someone adores him. He needs that, so at the first sight of finding someone like that, he will warp his fingers tightly around them and not let them run away from him. What he needs, what he wants is a perfect little 'friend' and he is willing to do anything to gain his own affection giver who will never leave him. Just know that getting too comfortable with him is dangerous, as one day, that tea you two drink together will not be so safe anymore.
29. Teddy/Horrorfell Sans 'The dusting butcher' - His brother and father are very unstable. They need a lot of affection that's why he was the only one in the family who was taking care of everything. He was used to never get any affection, any attention. If he would receive any, he would be weirded out and confused, asking what the person wanted in exchange. It would take a long time, but after opening him up, you would never be able to run away. You opened his heart, his soul. Made place in his care, and you will not be able to escape now. Just relax and be happy, or he will have to make sure that you are as damaged as his family so no one else but him could love you.
30. Cranberry/Horrorswap Sans 'The backstabbing maniac' - What is there to say about him? A sly and cruel monster, who caused his own brother's death to save himself, that was who he is. That's why it wouldn't be a surprise that he would find himself a lover to play along with and seem normal. Of course, when he won't need them anymore, he will throw them out. But if you are unlucky enough to actually catch his attention... Let's just say that you will learn what true fear is.
31. Bell/Horrorfellswap Sans 'The incompetent little helper' - He is highly damaged. The trauma of a fight, and the horrible memory of seeing his younger brother die from starvation was too much, causing him to regress mentally to an age where everything was alright. He acts like a child, but there are times that he comes back to his adult age. Those are the times you need to be mostly careful. Because that's when he is the most hurt and willing to do anything to keep his special lover with him, after he had went through losing his younger brother. Just know, do not play with a broken soul.
32. Knight/Horrorswapfell Sans 'The Try hard protector' - He is trying so hard to protect the people that he cares about, and he is that type of yandere. A protector. He will do anything to protect his lover. Even take it too far. He will kidnap his lover and keep them far away from others at the slightest thought of them being in danger. It's not healthy, and it's dangerous and anything can trigger him, but he is trying his best. He really is.
33. Azure/Dancetale Sans 'The dancer' - He is one of those yanderes that you won't know he is a yandere until it's too late. You might actually think he hates you, when in reality, he is madly in love with you! He will push you, while not washing his hand after because it's the hand that touched you. He might yell at you, but never forget the time he was close to you. You will only realize he is in love when it's too late and you are already in his basement, ready to start your new life with him.
34. Puffy/Danceswap Sans ‘ The Happy-Go-Lucky Dancer ‘ - He's the type of yandere that won't realize he's a yandere! He will talk himself into thinking that what he is doing is completely alright. That he is just doing this to protect a special friend, or that if his friend understood his reasoning, that they would completely agree with him. He can talk himself into doing anything, from small things like buying a gift to his friend to kidnapping them and killing people for them. A liar who believes his own lies is a dangerous one.
35. Lyric/Danceswap Papyrus 'The jokester dance fanatic' - Another yandere that you might not realize he is a yandere, until it's too late. But different than Azure. Lyrics is the type to be friends with his lover before anything else. He will madly obsesses over his friend, but keep the friends act up. He will do everything just to please his friend, giving the possibility to use him in any way his lover would want to. He is the type of yandere who would do anything for his lover, without even thinking a second time about if that will hurt him or anyone around them.
36. Rottenberry/Horrorfell Papyrus ‘ The Mute ‘ -  Rotten is... hard to love. Not because of his personality! He's a real sweetheart, it's just... He is very high maintenance. He is highly disabled. His spine was broken, so he is unable to move and is stuck in a wheelchair. His lower jaw is missing, that's why he is unable to speak. The place where his scar is, he can't see and he barely hears. It doesn't take much for him to fall in love with anyone who is willing to love him. Because of how he is, he doesn't know how to truly love, so he can become extremely toxic. He is similar to how Hickory and Tatters are. Because of all of his disabilities, Teddy does everything for him, and is the only one who can hear him as Rotten speaks to Teddy through soul waves.
37. Midnight/Outertale Sans ‘ The Star Fanatic ‘ - Similar to Azure, it will be too late when you realize that he's a yandere. He is argumentative and loves always being right. He is willing to hurt people as long as he will get his way and is in general a bad lover. He is willing to hurt others who believe they can steal his lover and he will stalk his lover, even if to just prove a point in his argument.
38. Marrow/Outertale Papyrus ‘ The Earth Fanatic ‘ - He can be two different yandere types. If his lover is not a human, then he is much tamer. He is possessive and acts more like an adult. He is willing to talk with his lover, but he still is very jealous in general. Now, if his lover is a human is when his creepy side comes out. He loves humans to the point of it becoming the creepiest thing ever. He wants to know everything, absolutely everything about humans from how they reproduce to why their hair falls. His obsessiveness will make him stalk his lover, collected everything his lover leaves behind and of course, kill anyone who gets in the way of his research.
39. Comet/Outerswap Sans 'The Curious human fanatic' - He is not as bad as Marrow, but he isn't exactly the most normal either. Unlike Marrow, he is always similar to everyone. He loves humans, but he doesn't go as far as Marrow. He would rather ask questions than forcefully get answers out of them. That's why he is a favorite between people, but can seem very manipulative and clingy. Because he is. He become attached easily and when he doesn't get what he wants, he will try and manipulative his lover into doing what he wants.
40. Pluto/Outerfellswap Sans 'The strength fanatic' - He is the tamest out of Marrow and comet. He doesn't care for specific spiecies, but about a specific thing. He loves strength! Only way to make him obsessed is by being extremely strong or by teaching him something that he didn't know before. He will start craving more and more of his lover's affection, until it's not enough and he'll kidnap them so they will only be his own.
41. Glitch/Error! Sans 'The destroyer' - He honestly doesn't seem like a yandere. Maybe in a sense, he isn't. He tries to stray from the path of obsession, but sometimes, at times, he starts to think that maybe it's time for him to be selfish too! And when he finally convinces himself to become selfish and keep his lover all to himself, just know it's not going to be pretty. He is the destroyer not for nothing.
42. Palette/Ink! Sans 'The creator' - He doesn't have feelings. He can smile, he can fake them, but he doesn't actually feel anything. That's why he can't get obsessed, right? But what if, what if there is someone, someone out there who makes him feel? Who makes him actually feel. Not good emotions, but makes him feel jealousy, anger, envy and obsession? Well, let's just say that it's not going to be pretty weird. I've been saying that a lot, but that's specifically for him.
43. Night/Nightmare! Sans 'The bringer of nightmares' - He's a distant yandere. He hates getting involved with other people, but isn't against that if people try hard enough. When he becomes obsessed, he becomes needy. In general, he tries to seem like he is a very smug and confident person, but in reality, he has a deep fear for being inferior to his brother. If he would ever lose his lover to his brother, he would lose his mind, going on a killing spree that wouldn't be stopped in any way.
44. Starry/Dream! Sans 'The bringer of gentle dreams' - A yandere who believes that he is on a higher morale end than everyone else. He believes to be the best and rightest out of everyone and he doesn't listen to others, thinking that his way is the right way. It's very toxic towards other people but he has show signs of not caring. For his lover, he would be very loving and affectionate, while holding them hostage in his basement. The most loving out of all the yanderes who kidnap their lover actually!
45. Sansy/Fresh! Sans 'The parasite' - This is an interesting yandere. Because he is a parasite, he doesn't have feelings. He gains the feelings of the host body that he takes over. The current host body has deranged feelings for a specific woman. His yandere type is obsessive and murderous. He will stalk his lover and will kill people to get what he wants. But if he ever changed hosts, he would change his personality and yandere type too, as he doesn't have a specific one himself.
46. Toffee/Storyshift Chara ‘ The Guard ‘ - She's a cold yandere. She doesn't get attached to people easily and she likes to help people. Of course, if she does get attached she completely changes. It's a weird thing, one moment she seems cold and distant but a friend either way and the other she is looking at you in a love sick expression. That would be how she would change while being a yandere. It's weird to describe but she is the type that wouldn't exactly show it a lot.
47. Plum/storyshift Asriel ‘ The Captain’s Son ‘ - He is a very responsable boy. He wants the best for people and will work towards that goal. Of course, if he would fall in love and completely lose his mind in love, he would become completely love sick and protective. Trying to please his lover in any way possible while keeping them locked away for their own good. He is also very jealous, so he would talk himself in taking his lover away if he is put under extreme jealousy.
48. Cherry/Shiftfell Chara ‘ The Pet ‘ - A soft spoken human who hates any sort of confrontation. Barely talks and when she does, her voice comes out soft and quiet. She gets attached to people very easily and finds comfort in sexual activities, thinking that if she engages in them soon, she will be loved more. She wants affection, both emotional and physical. She's the type of yandere who will hurt herself to make her lover do whatever she wants.
49. Majesty/Shiftfellswap Chara ‘ The Captain Of Pride ‘ - A prideful woman who believes she is the gift of god for every sinner. She wants to be worshipped and will get really angry if her lover will not do what she wants them to do. She is very violent when angered and is willing to start getting physical if she doesn't get what she wants for long time. She is the type of yandere who makes her lover completely hate themselves and believe that they should be thankful she is dating a vermin like them.
50. Brash/Storyswapfell Asriel 'The absent minded sentry' - A air headed individual who usually is deep in his thoughts. He loves joking around and flirting jokingly, but is a lot more serious inside. After the lost of his older sister, he had been very cold towards anyone who take a dominant approach in life. Only way for him to get obsessed with someone who is dominant would be if that person would take an interesting approach in dominance and actually remind him of his older sister. Then, he would start obsessing over keeping that person near him, as he doesn't want to love his 'older sister' a second time.
51. Skyblue/Storyshift Sans ‘ The King ‘ - A calm skeleton who loves to talk to people. His yandere type is manipulation. His calm demeanor will make people believe that he is always right and that you need to follow him and do what he says. He makes you trust him, and makes you believe him. It's best to not spend a lot of time around him, as he becomes like this even if he has no romantic feelings towards someone. He is just a naturally manipulative person.
52. Bloodbath/Shiftfell Papyrus ‘ The Catacombs Caretaker ‘ - He is a very violent and uncontrollable character. He wants things to get done now and immediately and will get angry if that doesn't happen. He is very controlling and wishes to have everything under his control. If his lover or anyone in his life dares to disobey him, he is not afraid to start treating them like a child, meaning he can go as far as kidnap his lover if he thinks they are being bratish with him.
53. Riffle/Mafiatale Sans ‘ The Mobster ‘ - He is a mobster. A sweet man but he can get violent too. He is possessive and wants everyone to know that he owns his lover. Meaning, he is not above going and marking his lover physically so people would know that they belong to him. He is obsessed with guns, so he will use guns to scare both his lover and kill people who get in his way. It's a nasty business with him, but it's a nasty business with every mafia guy.
54. Rose/Mafiatale Papyrus ‘The Right Hand ‘ - A love sick puppy, that is who he is. He will do absolutely anything to make his lover happy! He is delusional, but not to a point that he doesn't understand when his lover doesn't love him anymore. He just refuses to actually care about that and take it in any other way than them being shy or not ready to take that step into becoming more. His lover can kick him, beat him, insult him and throw him out but he will keep coming back until he is nothing but a pile of dust because of his lover. If his lover would ever die, he would kill himself so even in the after life he could be together with them.
55. Riggs/Mafiafell Sans 'The failing underling' - A flirty guy who's just trying his best to keep up with expectations but failing miserably. Most of the times, you might think that he is joking about some stuff that he does when he's in love. For example, saying that he would love to kill everyone who even looks at his lover. Well, let's just say he is not kidding. He's the type of yandere that will go through with his promises, even if he gave them drunkenly, forcefully or as a joke.
56. Whip/Mafiafell Papyrus ‘ The Boss ‘ - Whip is very serious about his job. That's why making him fall in love is hard. Especially if you are a human. But if you are persistent enough, he will open up his heart to you. The thing is, you do not want that. He will start spoiling you, loving you and then, slowly trying to ruin you, so he would be the only person you can depend on. He is in the mafia and he's capable of doing that. So, do not make him open his heart up, or you mind lose everyone expect him.
57. Slate/Mafiaswap Sans ‘ The Two-Faced ‘ - He's horrible. Both with his personality and with his lover. It's a mystery how anyone could ever handle him. He is an asshole with a god complex. It's pretty easy to figure out what that means. You know how Razz worships someone who he considers to be like a god figure? Well, Slate is the person who will make others worship him like a god. And well, as a god, he has his favorite little follower. Of course, if he see someone else taking their time away, as the god, he will kill anyone who gets in the way of his favorite little follower worshipping the group he walks on.
58. Slim/Mafiaswap Papyrus 'The blind follower' - He isn't someone who easily shows emotions. That's why it would take quite a while for him to even realize that he is in love with someone. When he does, he would still be cold towards them, but in private, on rare days, he would show his less than cold side. Show his loving and obsessive side. Show his side in which he would hold his lover in place for hours, not letting them move, not let them do anything but feel them in his arms, so he would know that they are his and that they are not running away. Well, not with that chain around their neck.
59. Rus/Mafiaswapfell Papyrus ‘The Jack-Of-All-Trades ‘ - He is very talented, but very lazy. He's the type of person that he would try, he might achieve a lot, but he doesn't. That's why he doesn't pursue his lover. He might kidnap them, but if his lover ever escapes, he will let them run away. Why? Because he knows where they are all the time either way. He has connections everywhere, and she wouldn't travel anywhere without him knowing. One day he'll get less lazy and he'll make sure that she crawls back to him, but until then, he'll let them start a new life and make their see it crumble before their own eyes.
60. Mal/Mafiafellswap Sans ‘ The Malevolent Boss ‘ - He wants a wonderful romance. He wants to give in, but he can't! He has so much work to do so of course he couldn't just open up to his lover. He couldn't let them even realize how much he loves them... of course, he would allow them to love him and of course, he would be more than happy to keep anything of theirs just as a keepsake while he can't have them just yet..
61. Syrup/Mafiafellswap Gaster ‘The Spy ‘ - He can be anything they wants! Absolutely *anything* they want! His whole life is based on the fact that he can act however he wants to trick people. And he will do the same to get his lover! If his lover wants a sweet and loving lover, he'll be like that! If they want a rough and dominating lover, he's going to be that! If they want a submissive and quiet lover, well, he isn't good at being quiet, but he can try! Just remember, *never* push him away. He is the only one who actually loves you so do not push him away, Or you might just regret it in the long run.
62. Chompers/Mafiahorror Gaster ‘The deceased Don’ - Quiet, cold and distant, these were the words to describe him. He was a yandere that wouldn't realize he is a yandere. He would be surprised when he first would start having feelings for his lover. They would overwhelm him in a way that he would do absolutely anything that he would think about. For example, think that killing their friends would make them closer? He'll do it. Think kidnapping them was a good idea? He'll do it.
63. Ardor/Slavetale Sans 'The catalyst' - He hates humans. He hates humans with a burning desire. So why would he ever fall in love with one? But well, what could he do if this specific master of his wouldn't leave him alone! Every single time he would push them, hurt them, treat them horrible, they would treat him like he was actually worth something and not just a slave to play with. Well, then it means they love him, right? That means it's not too much for him to want them all to himself, right? And to be as violent as needed to get that, right?
64. Roxxy/Slavefell Sans  'The lovable pervert' - More? Oh, he wants more! More of what? More of everything! Nothing is enough for him. He wants more, he needs more and if he doesn't get it, he will get honestly angry. He will devour his master from the top to bottom, suck them dry of everything that they have! He'll get all of their love and affection and leave nothing, absolutely nothing to anyone else, because he deserves it the most!
65. Rogue/Slavefell Papyrus  'The reluctant slave' - He doesn't like being a slave, that's why he won't like having  a master. But. If a master that would spoil him, love him and adore him appear, he will become pudding for them. He will become the best thing they ever wanted. He'll be everything they ever wanted. They just need to make sure to keep him and only him by their side. He wants to be spoiled and drowned in their affection and he's willing to kill others to prove that.
66. Ditzy/Slaveswap Sans  'The savant slave' - He will be anything his master wants. He will do everything his master will want him to do. And he wouldn't need anything in return. But if his master would start showing affection. Start trying to teach him how to be less robotic and be a living being again, he will start showing his less than pleasant traits. He will show possessiveness, his jealousy and mostly, his violent outbursts. His master was teaching HIM how to be a living being, not them! So, his master only needed HIM!
67. Viper/Slaveswap Papyrus 'The skeptical slave' - He doesn't trust anyone. He doesn't trust his master. Gaining him as a lover or someone who would trust him is something that's almost impossible. He would always think that what his master does is to get something bad back, so he doesn't trust them. Of course, if his master would try hard enough, it's possible to work around him and his fears of being used, but if that would ever happen, it would open a new window of fucked up, worse than imaginable.
68. Wisteria/Slaveswapfell Sans 'The perfectionist' - This yandere wants everything to go by his made rules. Even if he is a slave, he is someone that will not give up and let someone break his rules. He wants his master to follow his rules and if he finds out that his master did not, he will not be happy. He isn't strong, but he knows how to hurt people as he collects information about them and can use it to hurt others.
69. Pup/Slaveswapfell Papyrus 'The perfect puppy' - Everything you ever want, every single kink, every single fantasy you can try out on him. He will never fight back. Or show any excitement. Or show anything actually. He doesn't care, as he is completely blank. Showing affection will not make him become different either. To cause a yandere reaction out of him, you need to go the other way around. To treat him horribly, to break him even further, to make him feel.
70. Azalea/Slavefellswap Sans 'The housekeeper' - He's perfect. He became perfect. There isn't much to say to him. People get bored of him so fast because of how perfect he actually is. Or well, is he really all that perfect? Is he really all that good? So why people trust him so much? Why do they look at him and let him do so much? Because he knows how to get on the good side of his masters. Just remember, don't actually make him feel. Or he might just never let go of his favorite master.
71. Foxglove/Slavefellswap Papyrus 'The perfect lover' - Loving but distant, that was what Foxglove is to people who he doesn't have feelings to. You would think that as a yandere, his feelings become stronger, and in a sense, maybe you are right, but they become stronger in the wrong way. He becomes more violent, more demanding and he will never let anyone even look at his master without showing what happens when someone tries to steal his master.
72. Mortis/SlaveDust Sans 'The loose canon' - He's insane. Both in love and normally. At the first taste of affection, he is addicted. He needs more, he craves it more! His master gave him affection after a specific thing, right? He would start doing everything for his master, as long as he would get a little affection. From a pat on the skull, to a hug to even something more physical. He is obsessed, addicted with affection that his master introduced him to and he will do anything to gain it. Even a little extra here and there that could be seen as bad, but hey, his master can't always know what's right and not, right?
73. Cassiopeia/SlaveOuter Sans 'The perfect prey' - From the moment that he got into slavery, he was abused over and over. He wanted to live a simple life again, and that would be enough to get him obsessed with someone. The aspect of being able to live a normal life with someone. If someone would treat him like a living being, he would start creating a small scenario in his mind. With how delusional he is, it wouldn't take long for him to think that they are just a married couple and he was a stay at home husband.
74. Jaws/Slavehorror Sans 'The starving slave' - He is traumatized, so letting someone near him is hard for him. He is scared of being hurt again, but he is willing to try after some time. All you need is to keep feeding him and talking to him. That's it, and he's hooked. He's hooked like a puppy, hooked like he had never been before. Just be ready for him to break out. He is a big and strong guy, and he can kill anyone if he wants. That's not a threat, unless you make it a threat.
75. Sam/Overtale Sans 'The Boy-Next-Door' - Oh, absolutely nice guy! Completely funny, wonderful! Perfect even!... Too perfect. Isn't he... too perfect? The more you would spend time with him, the more you would realize that he has no flaws. That no one has anything to say about him. That's not normal, right? So what's the problem? The problem is that he's manipulative and frightening. Anyone are too afraid to warn you about him and how dangerous he is... Just know that the moment you start realizing something is wrong, it's already too late. No one will help you anymore. He made sure of that.
76. Audrey/Overtale Papyrus 'The eccentric mascot' - Okay, so he is eccentric! Nothing wrong with a guy who enjoys feminine clothes and taking care of himself. What is wrong though is the way he obseses over making sure that the two of you always match. That everyone around you know that you two are together. It's normal and he is taking up too much of your life. You need some alone time too, and he needs to understand that. If he can't then maybe it's time to break up. Or well, try to at least. Let's say that he knows his way around kidnapping people who aren't willing to play along into his fantasy.
77. Frank/Overfell Sans 'The flirty mechanic' - He's a good guy! Flirty, but a good guy. Dating him would be wonderful. Until it isn't anymore. clingy, needy and jealous are the three words that describe him perfectly. He even has a weird nickname for you! 'my wife/husband' when you two aren't even close to getting married. You've barely dated for a few weeks!... Every single time you would try to break up, he would begin begging you to not do it, fall on his knees and cry as loudly as needed, making as big of a scene as needed. Let's just say, if you keep breaking his heart so much, he might just assume your friends and family are corrupting you.
78. Tommy/Overswap Sans 'The friendly donut shop owner' - The guy has a good heart, he just doesn't know how to show it! He always seem to rant, but he is good. Sure, he is flirty and shows too much attention to women, children and old people, but he has kind intentions! So stop trying to break up with him! So what if he just ruined your friendship, so what if he spread lies about you at your work and got you fired! You do not need anyone else but him, so this just makes it even better! Now you can finally accept to move in with him!
79. Pierre/Overswapfell Sans 'The justice obsessed policeman' - Actually a good guy, right? He works so much to stop criminals from doing bad, so he would never do anything criminal himself, right? Well, maybe he managed to see too many criminals work and got some tuff from the himself. For example, he learned quite a lot of stalking techniques from the stalkers he had arrested... Not that he's using it for bad!.. Just to make sure that his lover is fine. Not for any other bad reason...
80. Russel/Overswapfell Papyrus 'The child-loving kindergarden teacher' - A guy who's so sweet with kids can't be bad, right? That's what everyone things. But he's annoying, naggy and jealous. He's worse than people would think he is! Completely different from the person he presents near parents and the children! Well, I guess he did get too spoiled because of his brother being a cop and being able to push his crimes under the rug... It's not a threat, unless you take it as a threat.
81. Theodore/Overfellswap Sans 'The temperamental nurse' - Angry but caring. That was Theodore. It was hard to get along with him, but if you could look besides his horrible personality and lack of empathy for everyone who are not his patients, he's a good guy..! Of course, breaking up is fine, but be careful with what you drink or eat. Just know that he knows his way around poisons and drugs. Again, it's not a threat until you take it as a threat.
82. Tobias/Overfellswap Papyrus 'The helpless romantic' - Broke, good hearted and romantic. Not the perfect combination, but good one nonetheless! But he gets so childish and so needy! The first month, it's sweet, but later on..? It gets boring and repetitive. But you can't leave him! He loves you! Only he loves a piece of shit like you! Only he can deal with someone so lazy, so disgusting, so stop trying to break up and just settle down with him already!
83. Flynn/Overhorror Sans 'The veteran' - He is cold, but loving. He has a lot of fears and problems, but he isn't as bad as many people would like to believe. He looks scary, but he is a good guy. He really is. Sure, he gets violent at times. He can yell and he knows his way around killing people if you hang out around someone more than him, but it's all because he loves you and will not let someone just come and take something he owned first.
84. Angelo/OverLust Sans 'The insane cat gentleman' - Sarcastic and sassy, he was. Funny and always had a remark ready. That's why he was a wonderful friend! but a lover? He was far from perfect. He was needy and he couldn't settle down to just being second best. He needed to be the best for his lover, while his lover would never come close to being the best for him. Of course, what can he do. Kidnap his lover? Stalk his lover? Bah, he already did that all of that! What else?
85. Whitley/OverLust Papryus 'The damsel in distress' - Whitley is a normal guy. Works, goes to school and in general tries his best to live a normal life. Of course, when he will fall in love, he will want to become the most important person for his lover and what better way to do that than to end up as someone who would end up in dangerous situations, just to be saved by his lover? It's not safe, and he could get hurt, he knows, but he would rather die knowing that his lover is going to try saving him than live a boring life.
86. Daniel/OverOuter Sans 'The passionate astronomer' - Some would say that his passion is already his obsession. And well, that just shows that he has the habit of getting obsessed. It's not good, and it's clear that it wouldn't take much to get him obsessed with his lover. One small compliment, small interest in what he likes, and friendly banter would get his heart skipping like mad when around his lover. He is one of the less dangerous yandere, more of a puppy in love than anything, but he can get obsessive, stalkerish and murdery is needed.
87. Tony/OverMafia Sans 'The typical dark backstory ex-mafiose' - Cold, and mysterious he seems. After his lover died, he decided to not let anyone else close to him. The only reason that he would allow anyone close to him is if they would remind him of his dead lover. It would start off normal, but slowly, end up with him trying to make this new lover of his a replica of his old one. And at the first sign of his lover not wanting that to happen, he would get violent. If they don't want to this willingly, he will just have to kidnap them and teach them what it means to be his lover.
88. Willow/OverMafia Papyrus 'The friendly rival' - Friendly but mysterious. Those were the words people used to describe. He loves friendly banter and is the type that will become a rival with someone to help them grow as a person. Showing him affection and love won't really do much. If you want to really get him, you should do something more... drastic. For example, join him in becoming rivals with someone. Force yourself into his life and slowly make him forget what life without you was. You will know that he's becoming a yandere when he will start agreeing with everything you say, without even asking for details. You hate someone? He hates them too! You want someone died? Don't worry, they already are! You want a new clothing piece? Here you go!
89. Grillby/Undertale Grillby ‘The Bartender ‘ - He is quiet but easily flustered. He never talks so when he finds someone who is willing to keep conversing with him, it makes him fall in love soon. He has a little bit of delusion in him, that's why he will start believing that because of that, his friend is interested in him romantically. If his friend is also an empoyee at his bar, he will start showing more attention to them, relieve them of a lot of work but pay twice as much. Of course, slowly, he would start wanting for more than attention. He isn't that dangerous as a yandere, as long as you give him what he wants. After you start to ignore him or show someone else more interest, he is not afraid to use all the powers he has to make the other person's life a living hell.
90. Firefly/Underfell Grillby ‘ The Cold Flirt ‘ - Hates any confrontasions and people who can't pay. He sees those types of people as lower, so he would never accept his lover to be poor or on the same level as him. He wants to be spoiled and have as much money as possible, so, it's not a surprise that he would want a rich lover. After that, he would do absolutely everything his lover wants, for the right price. He is jealous but usually shows it through angry remarks and his flames becoming actually painful and not just warm to the touch.
91. Sunny/Fellswap Grillby ‘ The Poisonous Bakery Owner ‘ - Eccentric but friendly, that's who Sunny was. People never could get to understand how Sunny really is. As a yandere, he will become very manipulative. He does this for a living! of course he knows how to manipulate someone. A sweet word here, a sweet word there and his lover would be a pudding in his arms. Of course, that doesn't always work, so killing someone that they care about would make them become close again, yes? He would always be there when they needed support, that's for sure!
92. Cerulean/Lustfell Grillby 'The flirty bartender' - He's a flirty bartender, who loves befriending others and making them feel comfortable. Of course, it's something that he has been doing for a long time, so it's not a surprise he knows how to make someone relax. As a yandere, he loves keeping stuff of his lover and he is not against drugging his lover to make them more willing to do what he wants them to do.
93. Grim/Horrorswap Grillby 'The starving sunshine' - After escaping from the underground, he is obsessed with getting food, like most of the other horrors, so it's not surprising. He can come off as cold and shy, because he is not used to interacting with people without having to be afraid of getting killed for food. He hates when people touch him and will make his flames painful if anyone even tries. As a yandere, he is very possessive, but still hates touches. He will hurt others when he thinks they are trying to steal his lover.
94. Peachy/Underswap Grillby 'The bubbling bakery owner' - His passion is making sweets and he will make all the sweets to make others smile! The moment that he starts to fall in love, he will start putting parts of him in the baked goods. From his magic to even his own dust if he gets obsessed enough. He just wants to be with his lover all the time and what better way to do that than to be inside of them!
95. Marshall/Overfell Grillby 'The divorcee parent' - Marshall doesn't care a lot about other people. He only wants to raise his daughter. Of course, the way to make him obsessed is to start getting along with his daughter. It can be from a daughter's friend to a elder person who helped his daughter. He just wants to find someone that would be a good mother for his daughter and he would do absolutely anything to keep his new little family together.
96. Elliot/Overswapfell Grillby 'The quiet librarian' - All he cares about is finish his work. As a yandere, he wants to make sure that his lover his following the rules. Stalking and kidnapping is a must for this yandere. He does stuff like that a lot, and it wouldn't be a surprise if he would end up hurting people around his lover.
97. Fletcher/Overfellswap Grillby 'The good samaritan' - He's a simple guy trying to survive in a hard world while doing good! Of course, as a yandere, he would barely be able to get his lover's attention. He would slowly start having people around his lover, but he couldn't help himself! Why can't he get the attention of his lover but others can? They don't deserve it, but he does! So he would of course want to kill others because of that.
98. Frankie/Overlust Grillby 'The hardworking bartender' - He is a quiet man, as he is a quiet lover. He has a goal and he will work towards it. As a yandere, he will do everything for his lover. He will start off as quietly following his lover around, before showing himself and doing anything they ask of him. If he will always there be, stalking his lover, at least he will be useful for them.
99. Pepper/Underswap Muffet ‘ The Silent Bartender ‘ -  She hates humans. It's not a secret. She doesn't see them as anything special, and just wants to make sure that they get what they deserve. If her lover would become a human, she would be confused. She would still hate humans, but she wouldn't hate her lover. She would make them into something else in her mind. Maybe a god, maybe a monster, maybe something else, but she would become delusional. And well, that's not the best thing ever.
100. Tania/Lustswap Toriel 'The ambitious caretaker' - She is a serious woman, even if she is very sexual too. As a yandere, she wants her lover to treat her special. Differently than anyone else and when she doesn't get that, she will be forced to kill everyone else who get special treatment from her lover.
101. Tori/Undertale Toriel 'The nursing mother-like one' - She is a very parental person. She believes that her way is the right way. That's why, when she finds a lover, she will want them to move in with her as fast as possible, and to drop every job and everything her lover has. She will reprogram them the way she wants, so do not worry about thinking about anything, as she will do the stuff that will make her lover feel better and have an easier life. No worries.
102. Ursa/Outertale Toriel 'The Patient motherly friend' - She's similar to Tori, but unlike the older woman, Ursa is much more patient. She is willing to not change her lover to fit her, but to change herself to fit her lover. Tori would want to make her lover move in with her, while Ursa would want to move in with her lover. She would want to quit her job and depend on her lover, to make her seem like her lover can't live without her anymore, as she did everything around the house. She wants her lover to become dependent on her.
103. Lottie/Overtale Toriel 'The grieving widow' - The moment that she would fall in love, she would start getting jealous of everyone around her lover. She had lost so many people. She lost her husband, she lost her children, she lost everyone. She wasn't going to allow anyone else to take anything else from her and if she needed to lose something, it will be because of her own two hands.
104. Marigold/Underswap Asgore 'The Parental friend' - He would probably fall in love with someone heavily younger than him, that's why he wouldn't even think of pursuing anything romantic with them, but he would want to find someone who would be like the person he likes. He will make someone else a perfect rip off of his lover. But if the person that he likes shows a sign of liking him or being friendly with him.. he might not be able to hold back.
105. Tenor/Underlust Asgore 'The sexual caretaker' -  He is friendly, and loves to share. He doesn't mind sharing his lover if his lover wants that. He doesn't mind being in a poly relationship, but the thing is, he needs to be the first one they love and if they don't give him the affection that he deserves and requires, he will slowly start killing off everyone else in the relationship. If they are getting in the way, he'll just make them disappear. No problem.
106. Trigger/ Horrortale Undyne ' The Fallen Queen ' - She is a possessive lover. She doesn't believe in death, she doesn't believe in there being no after life. So be careful. If you anger her, she will kill you so you together would be together forever even in the after life if you aren't how she wants! While with her, it's a forever kind of love, and she wouldn't allow her lover just to escape with death. Not anymore.

Sephiroth Crescent/Valentine
Tumblr media
Any of my friends can tell you my absolute obsession with this man, and as an Aro/Ace it is definitely not because of his looks (though he IS aesthetically pleasing, not gonna lie). With the fairly recent release of the Final Fantasy VII remake, I thought I’d start off my character deductions with the man who fell victim to a corrupt power hungry company, a mad scientist, and an entity literally from out of this (his) world.
Tumblr media
The start of his journey begins way back when Lucretia Crescent was still alive and Vincent Valentine was free from, well, everything Hojo and said woman did to him. Basically when he was still 100% all-natural human.
But I digress.
Tumblr media
Sephiroth is the biological son of Lucretia and only has relation to Jenova because of cell transplants he was subjected to while still in the womb. Who his biological father is is a source of massive debate among fans and critics, though most say either Hojo or Vincent. Based off of looks I’d say Vincent, which would make Sephiroth an illegitimate Valentine. But since it is still up in the air in canon land, we’ll keep using Crescent as his surname.
Tumblr media
Now being as the initial experiments started before he was even born, we have a clear case of everything that happens later on being not his fault. Did he ask to be implanted with a psychotic aliens genes? No. And in this instance the argument of nurture over nature doesn’t fly for several reasons.
Tumblr media
Beyond the fact that Jenova is of an alien race not native to their world, this is also a fantasy universe where reality isn’t restricted by our own. Thus, it’s very possible that certain personality and emotional traits can be inherited - if not by the people born on the planet, then perhaps by those of extraterrestrial descent (this includes Genesis, Angeal, and anyone else exposed to Jenova cells - yes that means Cloud too).
Tumblr media
As for the nurture side, well, Sephiroth was raised in a lab as an experiment. There is evidence that the only one involved in his development on a human level was one Professor Gast, who was killed early in the future general’s formative years for escaping with the last full-blooded Cetra to start a family outside of ShinRa’s clutches. Everyone else around the child treated him as a tool to be studied and honed for their employer.... if anyone thinks someone could even have a chance at turning out halfway normally after years or neglect and abuse like that then they need help. Like, psychological help.
Tumblr media
Now I will admit he made some progress with Genesis and Angeal in later years, but after their defection the man was left adrift in a hostile environment that was literally the only life he had ever known, thus he mentally couldn’t bring himself to leave. It didn’t help that neither or them would explain what was going on to anyone, but that’s a psychological discussion for another time.
Tumblr media
Anywho, by the time he went to Nibelheim with Zack and Cloud his mind was already stressed enough. The mental influence of Jenova only added to that stress, and upon discovering the truth of his birth it all became too much. His mind cracked under the pressure and Jenova struck. At this point he was nothing more than a puppet, and never really returned to himself. Not even during the events in Advent Children. He sounded and fought like himself, but he was so broken that he can easily be categorized as at the very least clinically insane.
Tumblr media
My thoughts on this is that in Nibelheim he went insane with Jenova influencing him, but later was only the mask Jenova used to try and destroy the planet. He was a familiar foe that had a pretty fearsome reputation before she even came into the equation and she capitalized on this. Cloud and Co were the biggest threat to her plans, thus another reason she kept using the now fallen general. His very presence provoking deep rage in most of the party, and an angered enemy is more likely to make mistakes than an indifferent one. It is not unreasonable to assume she was knowledgeable in psychological warfare like this, as this was how she wormed her way into the Ancients so deeply that they didn’t notice until it was too late.
Tumblr media
In conclusion, Sephiroth is more a victim of circumstance than a true villain and thus deserves all the love and attention. If I could I would adopt him as my own child but being as that’s not possible, I will just have to settle with fanfiction and my imagination.
I’m open to debate on any and all topics related to FFVII, so DM me if you’re interested. Also if there’s a character you really want my opinion on feel free to message me about that too.

Until next time~

Yu Yu Hakusho (Reviewing 25 years later)
This anime is like a forgotten gem. It doesn’t come to mind as #1 first but when mentioned everyone goes oh yea that was like one of the best anime’s of all time. I feel like most anime’s don’t have the same level of action, adventure, comedy, drama, and growth that this show offered. Whether you watch it as a kid for action & childish humor or as an adult for the deeper drama, life lessons and adult humor, it’s great across generations and across time whether you watched it as a kid in the 90s/00s or now in 2021.
Let me simplify it because there’s so much in-depth analysis I could go into.
Ratings per Arc/Saga:
Spirit Detective - 8/10
Dark Tournament - 10/10
Chapter Black - 8/10
Three Kings - 7/10
Deeper Analysis:
Spirit Detective - Honestly this arc had amazing parts to it, introducing the main characters, slowly improving enemies, and setting up for the Dark Tournament. I love the intro and how Yusuke has to undergo his ordeal showing his relationship with Kuwabara, Keiko, his mother, Boton, Koenma and everyone else around him. We’re introduced to a brat who doesn’t really belong but slowly finds his place and purpose starting here as Spirit Detective. I loved the deeper stories with introducing Hiei and Kurama. The introduction of Genkai was amazing, it showed there’s different aspects of growing and trying to master spirit energy. I only wish that section was a bit longer, maybe just 2-3 episodes of more unique competitors. The Spirit Beasts section is what made it a tad lackluster. This is their first real mission to spirit world and the abilities of the 4 spirit beasts just felt somewhat limited to me. Especially the fire-tiger beast, his tenacity just became annoying at some point. This is what dropped the Spirit Detective Saga to an 8 for me or else I would’ve made it a 9. The final part is amazing, it brings some backstory to Hiei by introducing her sister and most importantly the Toguro brothers leading to the Dark Tournament.
All together, it’s probably one of the best intro sagas to any anime I’ve seen at least. There’s simplicity but also complexity at the same time depending on how deep you look into it. They didn’t just half ass the action like many of my other favorite action-packed anime (DBZ, Fairy Tail). There’s a lot of mystery, dark moments, and strategy for a supposed kids cartoon for the haters out there.
Dark Tournament - This has to be the best saga in any ever because of the different strategies, emotions, growth, and somehow comedy still added in. I can’t help but re-watch this saga again and again every few years. We start with a mystery question: how much did the main characters grow in strength, abilities, and strategies? Now as a teen then now adult, the masked fighter is obviously Genkai because of the height, outfit and abilities, but as a kid, she was such a mystery for me haha. Anyways we go into the tournament and the committee seems hell bent on pitting everything against Yusuke & friends. I like that though Yusuke’s team comes out on top at the end of each fight, they do lose some individual matches for multiple different reasons. Instead of mindless matches purely on the fighting, we actually learn some backstory about many enemies and our main characters. It didn’t take long either; there wasn’t a ridiculous amount of episodes spent per backstory like Naruto or Fairy Tail. Genkai showed even more wisdom but also understanding of humanity as she knows her time is ending so she passes on her power abilities and most importantly wisdom to her favorite dim-wit. And throughout the story, we get to know more about Genkai and Toguro’s backstory and how power, morals and unfortunate events can change one’s future. The part that most people forget is the final episodes of the Dark Tournament: Toguro has been and wants to continue punishing himself. He actually does care for Genkai and Yusuke. He knows Yusuke has greater potential to grow into something great but needs proper and sometimes drastic measures and guidance to do so.
This saga had an amazing start, several related series of actions in the middle and a proper explanation at the end for many questions we had. On top of all that we’re left clues to the next arc, subtle clues you don’t realize until the next arc comes around. Episode 66, was shocking, Koenma actually granted Yusuke’s wish for his mentor and friend to be revived to live until the end of her life in peace as much as possible.
Chapter Black - This saga was great. You really don’t know what it is until it’s fully explained. We all know there were stronger demons deeper in spirit world. But something deeper darker is coming and it’s crazy because after 66 episodes we realized we never wondered about a previous Spirit Detective. What happened to that one? Now we get a trio of test spiritually aware humans just to test Yusuke & Kuwabara, but the really interesting part is when Sensui and his team is brought in. A few abilities were obvious but others were so mysterious with a constant ominous presence and heartbeat music looming over. What is each unique opponent’s abilities and what is Sensui’s background and end goal? His multiple personalities each containing yet even more unique abilities with his desire for an open tunnel into the depths of Spirit World for A/S class demons is insane. It seems impossible for Yusuke to win here even with Kuwabara’s sacrifice again. But wow what a reveal that he does have a secret demon king lineage in his blood. I both love and hate this at the same time. It feels like a cop-out but also explains everything at the same time. It’s like Super Saiyan in DBZ but different because at least here it took until the 3rd Saga and several arcs to reveal it. I guess in the overall scheme of things it’s like having Dragonball before Dragonball Z. Anyways the ending is amazing as we see them fight and find out just why Sensui wanted this all along as well as his gay partner’s obsession over him.
This was a great saga with a truly ominous back story and I love it. The only reason I keep it rated at 8/10 is unfortunately it happens right after the best saga ever in the Dark Tournament. At this point, power scaling and the use of demon king lineage in Yusuke just unfortunately puts the rating here. And we already know what the next saga is about for sure. There’s nothing left to really explore.
Three Kings - Here we go, the finale of Yu Yu Hakusho. We know Yusuke is of demon king lineage so of course he’s going to go train in Demon World. Hiei and Kurama obviously would follow along. Now with everything being obvious, why is it still interesting? Somehow the writers/producers of Yu Yu Hakusho find a way to bring even more back story in appropriate timing without it becoming filler. Learning about the deep ancient history of Raizen vs Yomi vs Mukuro shows how even as demons they have a human aspect: Raizen who ended up loving a human, Yomi who had a child and history with Kurama, and Mukuro with her tragic backstory that led to an odd relationship with Hiei. The ending is great with yet another tournament. As a kid, I wished they had a full tournament arc, but decades later I realized how much sense it makes that they didn’t show us the whole tournament, just key battles and how no one in our main crew won. Yusuke, Kurama and Hiei still has much to learn and grow. Yomi and Mukuro’s time has passed. A new brighter future awaits the demon world. Yusuke finally gets his happy ending with Keiko.
This final saga unfortunately because of its timing and closure gets a rating of 7/10. For an ending it’s great and I’m not sure how to improve it. That’s why I’m not a producer/writer haha. But it is definitely amazing and I appreciate it. Yusuke went from a kid/teen to a young adult. The story we came to know and love is over and he did NOT end up obsessed like Toguro. He didn’t choose the demon life. He also didn’t choose a psychic path like Genkai. He chose his own path with his friends in the human world continuing as spirit detective but living as close to a normal life as possible. I love this ending, The ending and whole narrative makes me give this show a 10/10. Yes I know they released 2 specials in 2018 but why not that’s a small treat for us fans. They can do specials maybe every decade or so. I don’t actually want them to do a new continued series like Dragonball Super. Let the original show be what it is and be remembered in history as one of the most unique shows with catchy theme songs. Also the Eng dub is actually good haha. Listen carefully for the adult humor hidden in the show if you’re re-watching it. You likely didn’t understand every NSFW joke as a kid. I know I didn’t haha.

Magia Record: Reflecting on the Anime and the Game’s Story Ending
With Magia Record's story now complete in-game and with the anime "finished" (only the first season, but it took until literally this past weekend for the production team at Shaft to acknowledge that the second season is coming/inevitable), I have like… a ton of thoughts about where the game and the anime landed.
This will probably mostly be gripes, but overall, I'm still pretty happy with both. I've invested my past year into Magia Record during a lot of my free time, and hey – no regrets here. That game was absolutely worth the experience. The anime? Jury's still out somewhat, but it looks good so far.
Tumblr media
This is definitely a normal thing to find surrounding a radio tower.
Anime Adaptation Thoughts:
The original Madoka Magica anime made the world feel slightly off-kilter by employing locations that were just a little off the rails from reality. The producers noted Madoka's bathroom as an important example; it's simply too large and has too much wasted space. It's maybe the biggest room in their house for no discernible reason, and that's by design, because it feels wrong. Another one was the music store we see in the first episode, where the technology is noticeably on a level that you just can't find in any real shop. On the flip side, the Magia Record anime creates a world that is deeply bizarre in many ways – much moreso than the original anime or the Magia Record game world. This is probably because the creator of the witch designs in the original was given far more creative control over the series as a whole this time around, and the result was BUGNUTS. Take note of the massive stack of discarded school desks that is arranged in a dangerous, precarious pile atop the school building (helpfully labeled as a waste pile, despite the fact that… well, who is picking up these garbage desks from the goddamn roof?). That's some imagery straight out of a witch's labyrinth, but it is ostensibly "reality." I think that's where Magia Record's anime really goes bugnuts, sometimes to powerful effect in that it makes things feel more unsettling… and sometimes to ridiculous effect. I mean, the field surrounding the radio tower now being replaced with a yard of jagged, cockeyed, towering gravestones and cross-like woodwork dangling with ropes and tridents? That's a LOT. That's… that's too much.
Look, if you were a die-hard fan of Kaede in the game, I am deeply sorry, because your girl got done DIRTY by the anime. Anyone who played the game who then sees where she winds up at the end of episode 12 is likely on a train straight to Double-You Tee Eff Station. I can't deny that it makes sense for the limited story she's given to develop across, but it was still disappointing to see. I suppose we don't really have the time to develop up all of the other characters from the game, so somebody had to sub in for this role… but oof.
Sana's backstory with her family is not nearly explained or explored enough in the show. I honestly think it comes off as confusingly unclear why they treated her like this or why they didn't notice her vanish at all. The game justifies this devastatingly well, but it feels like it's not clear at all here.
I think they could've had Kyubey run around Kamihama for part of the first season before he got ousted/blocked, and I think it would've been beneficial to do so. Now, that's not just because I love his character and find him fascinating, although that's definitely true, but it's also because there's so much exposition that I wish he could deliver to the characters about what's happened before we got here. Like, the tragic truth about Felicia's backstory is wonderfully awful, and I wish there was some way to deliver that into the anime, but I don't think it's possible without a ton of flashbacks. (And to be fair, players of the game may never know it without playing her particular Magical Girl Story.)
The change to not having Mami attack Yachiyo when they first meet was something I felt was a positive move. I loved that Mami got to have a moment she never had in the game during the Radio Tower arc, too. In generally, I enjoyed the slower, more piecemeal involvement of the original Holy Quintet, which has served as nice slow tease compared to having them be more upfront in the game. I did kind of miss the Madoka/Homura involvement in the radio tower case, but I ultimately came away feeling like it was better to save those two for later in the story because they're probably the best-known characters from the original series.
The combat soundtrack is exquisite - maybe better than ever before, honestly. The Magia Record anime has the best fight music in the series outside of, say, Rebellion.
Game's Ending Thoughts: (Spoilers Within)
Tumblr media
The anime cutscenes in the final chapter are delightful.
Puella Magi has never shied away from having its characters die in the original anime or in the many manga stories. I'd argue that those deaths are at least part of what makes it such a successful subversion of the Magical Girl formula; the threat of death (often via witchiness) establishes the idea of there being permanent consequences that simple hope and faith and love can't overcome in spite of what those other anime may have told you. On the other hand, Magia Record turns out to have very close to zero consequences. Aside from established deaths from flashbacks that have occurred before the game even begins, by the end of the game, literally no one dies. Not even the most blatantly psychotic character is allowed to shuffle off her mortal coil; she just "disappears" and escapes. I particularly like (please note the sarcasm) how three different characters do some kind of "super-move" during the final two chapters that is said to most likely kill them, and yet they all survive them! At least ONE character winds up with some paralysis, but jeez, the others walk away completely unscathed. I can only hope the anime doesn't go quite so weak in the knees about any of the characters suffering actual consequences from the potentially-world-ending-level battles that occur.
I previously griped that I actually expected the psychos responsible for the entire storyline to get off scot-free, and although they don't get off 100% free and clear by the time the credits role, they come extremely close to doing so. However, I was really happy with the "Cherry Blossom Dreams" epilogue event, because there is dialogue in there that has the Magius admit that whatever guilt they have now, they are still capable of being complete sociopaths who want to dominate the Earth. That one person's presence (Ui) shouldn't be (and isn't) enough to keep them from being incredibly dangerous. Ultimately, the solution/punishment they receive is probably the best one available in light of their overall survival. Well done.
Speaking of the Magius, I mean… is it really possible that so many feathers never questioned that they were following a couple of 11/12-year-olds and one blatantly obvious psychotic? I guess having face time with the Magius was pretty rare, but there was still enough that some of the feathers declared their allegiance was primarily to those three above all else. And most magical girls range closer to 16 than to 11, I mean, y'know? Which is practically an eternity in terms of maturity. So I guess MIfuyu did a lot of heavy lifting on NOT making them seem like absolutely the worst possible choices for leadership, huh? (And for that reason: Mifuyu got off fucking LIGHT.)
Aaaand speaking of "one obvious psychotic," I find it funny how almost nobody knows Alina outside of her Magius role except for Karin. Because, just… it's so perfect. Karin (who is not a "Karen") happens to be the most insanely tolerant person when it comes to Alina. She seems to shrug off Alina's entire everything as amusing, forgivable quirks. Perhaps because so many people believe Karin's own obsession with Halloween is a weirdly morbid quirk, Karin doesn't even question Alina's obsession with making art about death using actual human remains. Which is… funny? No, seriously. I think it's legitimately comedic in a good way. But it should probably be much more alarming to me that she doesn't care. I'd like to think that Karen feels it's just delightfully Halloween-y for Alina to paint her canvas with legit blood, and I do believe Karin isn't really the kind of person who would ask where the blood came from because whatever, it's probably fine, better get back to planning my pageant or something. She probably even thinks Alina's skulls are plastic Halloween decorations. :P
We need to talk about Mami: Mami in "Another Story Chapter 9" felt so off and out-of-character compared to how she was written in things like Rebellion or A Different Story or Wraith Arc, and furthermore, despite that chapter being entirely about Mami wanting to just be a simple peer with no superiority over the rest of the Holy Quintet, Another Story Chapter 10 has her immediately revert back to being the smart senpai character, further cementing how weirdly "off" Chapter 9 felt. I realize they had something difficult to write, here, though. It's painful how Sayaka has to run middlewoman between Kyoko and Mami in Chapter 10 of AS. I feel like I could write a whole screed about Kyoko's behavior across the franchise and how difficult a character she is for me to like even though I "get it" and don't think she's necessarily a bad person; she's just living on the edge of being almost a total hypocrite basically ALL THE TIME. The conclusion where Kyoko acknowledges that she's going to continue to work with Mami and the others semi-regularly in spite of everything is really the best closure you can hope for with her. She's too antagonistic to give us much else, and she prefers it that way. It would take years to see her mellow.
At this point, it seems safe to assume that there isn't going to be any "season 2" of the game like what happened with Fate/Grand Order after its finale. The main narrative is well and truly done, and it's just going to be various events from here on out. Is that enough to keep me around? Um. I don't know. Probably not? Hard to say. I don't really know what other mobile game to throw my heart into. I've considered Attack on Titan Tactics, but like… Attack on Titan hasn't been kind to me lately so uhhhhh.

You want to talk more about the bigotry in Harry Potter? Go ahead! I've actually heard stuff like that before, but have yet to do much research on it personally and it's been a while since I read it, so I'm interested.
WELL
Before we begin I should start with a disclaimer: this analysis will be dedicated to examining as many bigoted aspects of Harry Potter’s writing as I can think of, so--while I personally am more or less comfortable balancing critical evaluation with enjoyment of a piece, and strongly advocate developing your own abilities to do the same--I know not everyone is comfortable reading/enjoying a story once they realize its flaws, and again, while I think it’s very important to acknowledge the flaws in culturally impactful stories like Harry Potter, I also know for some people the series is really really important for personal reasons and whatnot.
So! If you’re one of those people, and you have trouble balancing critical engagement with enjoyment, please feel free to skip this analysis (at least for the time being). Self-care is important, and it’s okay to find your own balance between educating yourself and protecting yourself.
On another note, this is gonna be limited strictly to morally squicky things to do with Rowling’s writing and the narrative itself. Bad stuff characters do won’t be talked about unless it’s affirmed by the narrative (held up as morally justified), and plot holes, unrealistic social structures, etc. will not be addressed (it is, after all, a kid’s series, especially in the first few books. Quidditch doesn’t have to make sense). This is strictly about how Rowling’s personal biases and bigotry impacted the story and writing of Harry Potter.
Sketch Thing #1: Quirrell! I don’t see a lot of people talking about Quirrell and racism, but I feel like it’s a definite thing? Quirinus Quirrell is a white man who wears a turban, gifted to him by an “African prince” (what country? where? I couldn’t find a plausible specific when I was researching it for a fic. If there’s a country which has current/recent royalty that might benevolently interact with someone, and also a current/recent culture where turbans of the appropriate style are common, I couldn’t find it). Of course, it wasn’t actually given to him by an African prince in canon, but it’s still an unfortunate explanation.
More importantly, ALL the latent Islamophobia/xenophobia in the significance of the turban. Like, look at it.
“Man wears turban, smells like weird spices, turns out to be concealing an evil second face under the turban” really sounds like something A Bit Not Good, you know? If you wanted to stoke the flames of fear about foreignness, it would be hard to do it better than to tell children about a strange man who’s hiding something horrible underneath a turban.
Also, Quirrell’s stutter being faked to make you think he was trustworthy is a very ableist trope, and an unfortunately common one. “Disability isn’t actually real, just a trick to make you accommodate and trust them” is not a great message, and it’s delivered way too often by mass media. (Check out season 1 of the Flash for another popular example.)
Sketch Thing #2: The goblins. Much more commonly talked about, in my experience, which is good! The more awareness we have about the messages we’re getting from our popular media, the better, in my view.
For those who haven’t encountered this bit of analysis before: the goblins in Harry Potter reek of antisemitic stereotypes. Large ears, small eyes, crooked noses, green/gray skin, lust for money, control of the banks, and a resentful desire to overthrow the Good British Government? Very reminiscent of wwii propaganda posters, and in general the hateful rhetoric directed towards Jewish people by other European groups from time immemorial.
I’m also extremely uncomfortable with how goblin culture is handled by Rowling in general. Like, the goblins were a people that were capable of using magic, but prohibited by the British government from owning wands. That was never addressed. They also had a different culture around ownership, which is why Griphook claimed that the sword of Gryffindor belonged rightfully to the goblins--a gift isn’t passed down to descendants upon death, but instead reverts to the maker. This cultural miscommunication is glossed over, despite the fact that it sounds like Griphook’s voicing a very real, legitimate grievance.
To be honest, apart from the antisemitism, the way Goblin culture is treated by the narrative in Harry Potter is very uncomfortably reminiscent to me of how First Nations were treated by English settlers in North America, before the genocide really got started. The Goblins even have a history of “rebellions,” which both raises the question of why another species is ruling them to begin with, and more significantly, is eerily reminiscent of the Red River Rebellion in Canada (which, for the record, wasn’t actually a rebellion--it was Metis people fighting against the Canadian government when it tried to claim the land that legally, rightfully belonged to the Metis. But that’s another story)
In sum: I Don’t Like the implications of how Rowling treats the goblins.
Sketch Thing #3: Muggles. Ok because we’re all “muggles” (presumably) and because I’m white, talking about this might rapidly degenerate into thinly-veiled “reverse racism” discourse, so please y’all correct me if I stray into that kind of colossal stupidity. However, I am not comfortable with the way non-magical humans are treated by Rowling’s narrative.
The whole premise of Harry Potter is that Evil Wizards Want To Hurt The Muggles, right? Except that it’s not. Voldemort’s goal is to subjugate the inferior humans, rule over non-magical people as the rightful overlords, but that’s hardly mentioned by the narrative. Instead, it focuses on the (also egregious and uncomfortably metaphorical) “blood purism” of wizarding culture, and how wizards would be persecuted for their heritage.
But muggles, actual muggles, are arguably the ones who stand to lose the most to Voldemort, and they’re never notified of their danger. We, the muggles reading it, don’t even really register that we’re the collateral damage in this narrative. Because throughout the series, muggles are set up as laughingstocks. Even the kindest, most muggle-friendly wizards are more obsessed with non-magical people as a curiosity than actually able to relate to them as people.
I dunno, friends, I’m just uncomfortable with the level of dehumanization that’s assigned to non-magical humans. (Like, there’s not even a non-offensive term for them in canon. There’s “muggle,” which is humorously indulgent at best and actively insulting at worst, and there’s “squib,” which is literally the word for a firework that fails to spark.) It’s not like “muggles” are actually a real people group that can be oppressed, and like I said this kind of analysis sounds a bit like the whining of “reverse racism” advocates where the powerful majority complains about being insulted, but... it kind of also reeks of ableism. People that are not able to do a certain cool, useful thing (use magic) are inherently inferior, funny at best and disposable at worst. They suffer and die every day from things that can easily be cured with magic, but magic-users don’t bother to help them, and even when they’re actively attacked the tragedy of hundreds dying is barely mourned by the narrative.
It gives me bad vibes. I don’t Love It. It sounds uncomfortably like Rowling’s saying “people that are unable to access this common skill are inherently inferior,” and that really does sound like ableism to me.
Either way, there’s something icky about consigning an entire group of people to the role of “funny clumsy stupid,” regardless of any real-world connections there may or may not be to that people group. Don’t teach children that a single genetic characteristic can impact someone’s personhood, or make them inherently less worthy of being taken seriously. Just, like... don’t do that.
Sketch Thing #4: The house elves. Everyone knows about the house elves, I think. The implications of “they’re slaves but they like it” and the only person who sees it as an issue having her campaign turned into a joke by the narrative (“S.P.E.W.”? Really? It might as well stand for “Stupidly Pleading for Expendable Workers”) are pretty clear.
Sketch Thing #5: Azkaban. Are we gonna talk about how wizarding prison involves literal psychological torture, to the point where prisoners (who are at least sometimes there wrongly, hence the plot of book 3) almost universally go “insane”? This is sort of touched on by the narrative--“dementors are bad and we shouldn’t be using them” was a strongly delivered message, but it was less “because torturing people, even bad people, is not a great policy” and more “because dementors are by their natures monstrous and impossible to fully control.”
“This humanoid species is monstrous and impossible to control” is, once again, a very concerning message to deliver, and it doesn’t actually address the real issue of “prison torture is bad, actually.” Please, let’s not normalize the idea that prison is inherently horrific. Of course, prison as it exists in North America and Britain is, indeed, inherently horrific and often involves torture (solitary confinement, anyone?), but like--that’s a bad thing, y’all, it’s deeply dysfunctional and fundamentally unjust. Don’t normalize it.
Sketch Thing #6: Werewolves. Because Rowling explicitly stated that lycanthropy in her series is a metaphor for “blood-borne diseases like HIV/AIDS”. The linked article says it better than I could:
Rowling lumps HIV and AIDS in with other blood-borne illnesses, which ignores their uniquely devastating history. And Lupin’s story is by no stretch a thorough or helpful examination of the illness. Nor is its translation as an allegory easily understood, beyond the serious stigma that Rowling mentioned.
That Lupin is a danger to others could not more clearly support an attitude of justifiable fear toward him, one that is an abject disservice to those actually struggling with a disease that does not make them feral with rage.
This definitely ties into homophobia, given how deeply the queer community has been affected by HIV/AIDS. Saying a character with a condition that makes him an active threat to those around him is “a metaphor for AIDS” is deeply, deeply distressing, both for its implications about queer people and their safety for the general population, and for the way it specifically perpetuates the false belief that having HIV/AIDS makes a person dangerous.
Sketch Thing #7: Blood Ties. This isn’t, like, inherently sketch, but (especially for those of us with complicated relationships to our birth families) it can rub a lot of people the wrong way. Rowling talks a big talk about the folly of “blood purism,” but she also upholds the idea that blood and blood relations are magically significant.
Personally, I’m very uncomfortable with the fact that Harry was left with an abusive family for his entire childhood, and it was justified because they were his “blood relatives.” I’ve had this argument with ultra-conservative family friends who genuinely believe it’s a parent’s right to abuse their child, and while I don’t think that’s what Rowling is saying, I do feel uncomfortable with the degree of importance she places on blood family. I’m uncomfortable with the narrative’s confirmation that it is acceptable (even necessary) to compromise on boundaries and allow the continuation of abuse because “it’s better for a child to be raised by their Real Family” than it is to risk them to the care of an unrelated parent.
Genetic relations aren’t half as important as Rowling tells us. For people with a bad birth family, this can be a damaging message to internalize, so I’ll reiterate: it’s a pretty thought, the love in blood, but it’s ultimately false. The family you build is more real, more powerful and more valid than any family you were assigned to by an accident of genes.
I can think of one or two more things, but they’re all a lot more debatable than what I have here--as it is, you might not agree with everything I’ve said. That’s cool! I’m certainly not trying to start a fight. We all have the right to read and interpret things for ourselves, and to disagree with each other. And again, I’m not trying to ruin Harry Potter. It’s honestly, as a series, not worse in terms of latent bigotry than most other books of its time, and better than many. It’s just more popular, with a much bigger impact and many more people analyzing it. I do think it’s important to critically evaluate the media that shapes one’s culture, and to acknowledge its shortcomings (and the ways it can be genuinely harmful to people, especially when it’s as culturally powerful as Harry Potter). But that doesn’t mean you can’t or shouldn’t enjoy it for what it was meant to be: a fun, creative, engaging story, with amazing characters, complex plots, heroism and inspiration for more than one generation of people.
Enjoy Harry Potter. It is, in my opinion, a good series, worth reading and re-reading for enjoyment, even for nourishment. It’s also flawed. These things can both be true.

Tales from the Ex-Crypts Vol. 6
When I met the man who would waste my 20's, I was freshly moved out of my abusive/addict home and I will always feel that contributed to me being able to be sucked into his narcissistic web of manipulation, gaslighting, and abuse. The distance between us also made it very easy for him to do/get away with whatever he wanted...
The first 4 years of our "relationship" was very on and off.. he was massively hung up on his ex and she was constantly popping in to make sure she could still just wrap him back around her little finger. He would just disappear during those times, and then call me when she would fuck off again. I don't know why I went back, except he had some kind of hold over me, perhaps it was the comfortable/known factor. In those 'off' times are when I dated others.
So much happens in the span of so many years.. and crazy enough.. there aren't that many "stand out" moments, because the abuse was so normal..
He was very controlling, and expected me to call if I said I'd be home around a certain time. I remember one day, while living in the city and using transit, that I said I'd be home around a certain time. It was literally 4 minutes after the time I said, and he called me demanding where I was because I said I'd be home by then. I was walking across the street from the bus stop to my apartment building.
He was also very jealous/possessive, but as a girl who has almost always been "one of the guys", I have a lot of male friends. He was not super jealous of my friends, but he would get insanely jealous of men online (we gamed together, he got me into PC gaming, and WoW especially). I was not allowed to hang out with/make friends with/talk to other men in game. I still made some amazing friends (who are still friends now). He was also fond of shaming/embarrassing/belittling me in front of others, or showing his ownership or whatever. He would openly treat me like shit, but if anyone else ever said anything even slightly negative or criticizing about me, he would rip them to shreds. One girl in his guild, after witnessing his treatment of me over Ventrillo (a voice program many gamers used back in the day, now it's mainly Discord) and who stupidly had a crush on him, decided to rip on me to him. I'm guessing she read him wrong and thought his treatment of me was because he wasn't happy with me, or didn't love me. He destroyed her so badly, she quit the guild and left the server. He was the asshole that women flocked to and fawned over, and I couldn't even say I was any fucking different. That "bad boy" aura sucked many in.
He was jealous/possessive because he was always cheating on me, with the distance, he was easily able to. The stupid thing was, that he'd brag about it to our guildmates while I was at work/offline. Probably part of why he didn't want me making friends within the guild as well. I don't think he realized this is what made a lot of those who became friends to reach out to me. They were being kind to the kicked puppy.
Most of the shit treatment happened in the last 4.5 years of our relationship, without the "off" times of the first 4 years. But most of the really great times we had together happened during that time too. He could be amazing and sweet and funny... and even with distance, we did spend 4-6 hours talking/hanging out daily.. more than most of my friends who got to see their boyfriends regularly.
The final straw for me, after all of the years of distance, and not moving to the next level with excuse after excuse, was that my sister was getting married and he refused to come to the wedding with me. I was just done at that point, and ended things.
He lost his mind, I don't think he ever expected me to leave, but I just needed to get to a point where I loved myself more than I loved him. The one benefit of the long distance relationship was that my life really didn't change after the relationship ended, minus the hole left where he used to fill my time/thoughts.
Unfortunately, his father passed away within days of my ending things. It was sudden, a heart attack during a blizzard that prevented the ambulance from getting to him in time. He was only in his 50's. My ex was devastated, understandably. He called me 30+ times and I thought he was just being a rage monster so didn't answer. I finally listened to my voicemail(s) and he was bawling in them. This is a man I knew never cried, so I immediately called him. His mother answered, she was at his place to try to comfort him, and he was a mess when he got on the phone. He wanted us to get back together because of his loss. I am sure that the double whammy of our break up and the loss of his father within days of each other was overwhelming, but I told him it was the wrong reason to get back together. I also told him I would be there however he needed as a friend, but he insisted it was the perfect reason to get back together. I told him it wouldn't fix any of the reasons we broke up, and without those things addressed, then there was no reason to get back together and have it work. He hung up on me, because I didn't give him what he wanted and he was hurting. I never blamed him, but stuck to my requirements. I told him over and over that if he wanted me back, he would make his actions meet his words, and drive to my place, knock on my door and sit down and talk like two fucking adults and sort our shit out. That was the ONLY way I would consider getting back together. He never did.
We tried to be friends after the break up, it took us 3 years to achieve it. For the first three years, he would rage whenever it became clear he had zero control over me and not talk to me for weeks/months and then come back.
We then had a great friendship for years after he finally got past that (and got a new gf). We no longer have that friendship though, as he is absolutely insane. He is obsessed with sending voice messages instead of typing/texting. Over the years he had gotten me to get numerous different apps to do so. I deleted most of them because they didn't detect my soft voice so I couldn't respond and it was useless. I have an iphone, he had an iphone, he could send me voice messages that way, but would have to wait for responses until I had time to listen to them (usually after I got home from work) and then would get miserable that I wouldn't respond right away, even though we were just friends at this point.
The last app he asked me to get was Telegram. I hate this app, it is not user friendly and it didn't work well for my non-neurotypical brain to function with. I deleted it almost immediately, told him it made me want to punch babies. He lost his mind over me not liking an app, to the point you'd think it was HIS app that he created. Fast-forward to about a year and a half ago. I had forgotten about the stupid app, started talking to some guy on a dating app who asked if I had it, I said no, they asked me to get it so I did... and then immediately remembered it was the app I hated as soon as I opened it. My ex noticed in the 30 minutes max that I had it installed and messaged me, I responded and said "I'm deleting it again, don't get used to me using it" and deleted it.
He left me 4 raging voice messages on iMsg that were each over 3 minutes long about how I was such an absolutely horrible human (I listened to the first 20-30 seconds of the first message and then deleted the message thread) because of an APP. I was the crazy one because I didn't like an app, and somehow that made me a bad human?? Yeah... sure buddy.. pretty sure it's not normal to get that mad over someone not liking an app (especially when I had deleted many over the years). No idea why he is so obsessed and in love with that app, but we have since deleted every contact with each other and have not spoken since December 2019.

hi! im new here and just found this through reading your fics on ao3, and I was just wanting to know more about this au, particularly, who are alll the purples you got up there in the banner and whatre their stories???
Ooh you’re in for a heck of a treat when it comes to all my Purples!
From the left to the right:
Lucian Enfuego (aka Afton’d Lucian): A traveling serial killer who ended up being abducted and experimented on by Elder Afton in 1984, his soul being ‘overwritten’ by him over time. Murdered Vincent Heliotrope in 1983 then used his name on a virus that screwed up the Toy Animatronics. Killed the 5 Missing Children and the Butterfly Child in 1987. Was caught and executed for his crimes. His younger sister was the first to realize his soul was ‘stolen’ and spent her life trying to get it back from the Aftons. Referred to as the 1987 Purple Guy. Alex Cho aka Router (the short man): A mercenary, hacker-for-hire, who is also a son of Lucian. He ran away from his mother’s emotional abuse to follow his father’s trail and destroy the evidence that could clear Vincent and Jeremy Sr.’s names, as well as kill the surviving ‘witnesses’ of the 1987 Incident. His work partner (and best friend) is Panther. Was hired by Michael Afton to go to Freddy’s Pizza and retrieve Marionette and Balloon Boy or their data drives containing information about Remnant collected during the 1987 Incident. Ended up killed via springlock failure in Springtrap. Referred to as the Springtrap Purple Guy.
Sydney Elizabeth Michaels aka Panther (the big guy in pink): A mercenary with a tendency to abduct people of strength and essentially brainwash them via torture and Stockholm syndrome to serve as his living weapons. As a teen he was hired by Elder Afton to put Fredbear’s Family Diner out of business; poisoned and killed 11 children there while wearing a pink security uniform for a disguise, successfully shutting down the restaurant. His older brother helped him run away from home to escape police and keep the rest of their family out of trouble. Went with Router to Freddy’s as part of the retrieval job and developed an obsession with Mike’s strength. Ended up killed by Freddy and the gang for trying to abduct him and was soul-bound to a Paper Plate Pal. Referred to as the Pink Guy.
William Afton II: The CEO of Afton Robotics and Fazbear Entertainment, owner of Circus Baby’s Pizza World Party and Rentals (Sister Location). Stepped into the position some time after his father’s disappearance and found the secret information about Remnant, transfers, and the experiments to move/copy souls between vessels. Decided to continue the research and find a way to transfer himself from his sickly body into a healthy one. Searched for a low-level employee that could be compatible with his deceased sister’s Remnant to observe if transfer to a living body was possible, unaware his grandfather successfully did so but was unable to record the success. Ended up killed by his sister via Scooping Room. Referred to as Canon Purple Guy.
Emelia Afton: The daughter of Michael Afton who was killed by Circus Baby and soul-bound to her endoskeleton. She was stored in the Underground Facility by her father, who desperately tried to find a way to free her soul and resurrect her in his father’s Remnant research. Years passing with her trapped ended up eroding her sanity and now she only cares for escaping into a ‘perfect’ body that will allow her to be beautiful, using anything and anyone as a means to that end. Normally looks like an innocent little girl ghost to lure others into assisting her before killing them once their usefulness ends. Her ‘adult’ form was created by absorbing a digitized Lucian into herself to take advantage of his knowledge of murder techniques. Soul-bound to Circus Baby v1, later becoming Ennard. Referred to as Purple Gal.
William Afton I aka Elder Afton: The founder and owner of Afton Robotics. Has an aggressive competitiveness and desire to be the best in creating robots and animatronics. Jealousy towards the ones in Fredbear’s had him hire Sydney to force the diner to close so it could be bought up by his shell company, Fazbear Entertainment, and have the animatronics sent to him for reverse engineering. In his pursuit to creating the most advanced artificial intelligence software for his creations, he discovered Remnant and its properties, experimenting on low-level employees and abducted children to learn how to extract and transfer Remnant. His experiment on Lucian, an intern at the time, culminated in a successful digitized download of Remnant and memories, creating the Lucian Master File. Elder’s desire to live longer to continue his research and curiosity on his hypothesis had him attempt to transfer his own Remnant into Lucian’s body. While mostly successful, the transfer revealed a drawback in that loss of Remnant without allowing regeneration or replacement causes loss of sanity in the donor. This discovery was never documented; on the final stage of transfer, Elder released Lucian from containment and was killed by him. His soul torn in two, part went with Lucian to grow and consume him, part remained in the Facility, laying dormant until awakened by Springtrap, where he then hijacked control of the animatronic for himself. Referred to as Original Purple Guy or First Purple Guy.
Elizabeth Afton: Bionics Engineer, overseer of R&D of Afton Robotics, wife of Michael Afton. She’s responsible for researching and building ways for the animatronics and robots to move as fluidly and ‘naturally’ as a human. She has a cold love for her husband due to blaming him for allowing her favored daughter to die at Baby’s hands. She assisted Elder Afton in his Remnant research and went back to it after her daughter’s death to continue it in secret, searching for her own way to continue living longer and restore her daughter. After Michael’s disappearance and William’s death, she followed the trail of outgoing resources from Afton Robotics to Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza and Parties to recover Emelia’s Remnant. She was only able to get it back in fragments, so she devised a trap to gather fragments of Remnant from multiple past guards in order to rebuild and stabilize Emelia’s soul. When that plan was foiled, she escaped and decided to continue her search for future host bodies for herself, rebuilding Fazbear Entertainment via video games and using a copy of the Lucian Master File to seek out viable hosts. She plans to use the money from the sales and her newly abducted Reluctant Follower to create another trap to lure in her intended target. Referred to by name.
Michael Afton: Son of Elder Afton, CEO of Afton Robotics and Fazbear Entertainment after Elder’s death. His relationship with his father was distant and strained at best, which worsened after his death as Circus Baby’s programming had her kill his daughter when she wandered over alone. He pulled away from his wife and their relationship grew rocky over the tragedy. Being confronted by Lucian’s sister some time later over the fate of her brother’s soul had Michael searching for whether there was any truth to it; upon discovering his father’s Remnant research and notes, he found a desperate hope that this could be key to reviving his daughter. While he was also attracted to Lucian’s sister for her more vivacious nature, he eventually had to threaten her into leaving him alone so as to keep the discovery of Remnant and soul transfer a secret. He left behind the company and his family after receiving the data on the 1987 Incident in order to find a method of using Remnant to revive Emelia without causing more deaths. Failing that and realizing that Emelia had gone insane and murderous from isolation and desperation, he chose instead to try and destroy everything connected to the Remnant experiments, bringing everything that was affected by it together in one place to be burnt so the Remnant would be destroyed. He was unaware that his wife was also involved. Died in the flames that consumed FFP&P. Referred to as Son of Canon Purple Guy.
Lucian Master File: The ‘pure’ download of Lucian Enfuego’s digitized Remnant and memories. Stripped of anything that could humanize him or create empathy with others, the Master File only seeks to cause as much death and havoc as possible. He generates copies of himself to carry out his plans, assimilating information from them while he remains safely out of sight and harm’s way. The first copy of himself ever created he stripped of similar power to force him to be weaker and gave him over to William Afton II to use in his experiments, which resulted in the copy breaking away from him so drastically he became unique and Master File lost control and connection to him. He only ever assists someone when he feels he’s able to use them to further his own ambitions in the process. Originally the controlling software to Afton Robotics’s main computer, he managed to escape destruction there by coding himself onto chipsets in protected hardware, which later allowed him to escape into the video game software that scanned those chipsets. Referred to as Master File or Glitchtrap.
Phew! i really gotta finish up the wikia articles on everyone.

No warnings. This is mostly fluff.
Part 12 of the Broken Wing series
Summary: *reading the first would help you understand this, but it's fairly easy to read as a standalone*
Morgan has reached the age where she knows wings are for flying and starts jumping off the furniture to try. Peter stops by the lake house and helps Tony with her. It all family fluff with some questions answered about wings in this universe.
Read on AO3
Tony placed the last pillows on the floor in front of the couch and turned to look over his work. Morgan was stacking blocks on the floor by the coffee table, her small wings resting on her back.
Like all children, they were more rounded then they would grow to be, and the feathers fluffier, more down than actual feathers. Her bare feet wiggled into the strands of the carpet as she worked on her block tower. Tony took a moment to settle his nerves.
Ever since seeing the birds outside flying, Morgan had been obsessed with trying to fly, which just wasn’t possible. The wings they had were vestigial, a remnant of an earlier time.
Humans were too heavy for their wings to carry, though they could glide and control their falls, which brought Tony to his redecorating of the living room and all the pillows on the floor.
Ever since Morgan got the idea in her head she could fly, she’d been pulling herself up on the couch and throwing herself off, just to let her wings try to catch her. Her wings were small, though, and the feathers were immature, so he was worried she’d get hurt.
The squeak of the screen door made Tony look up, and he saw Peter’s beat-up Volvo through the window. The kid was just starting college, and it was his first car. Tony had offered to buy him an Audi, but he balked at the suggestion.
The kid was stubborn at the best of times, and he didn’t like to accept anything that resembled charity. Not a bad trait, but it did drive Tony insane, especially when it meant he was driving a car old enough to register as an antique.
It was safe, though, despite its flaws. Tony didn’t budge about safety. He’d gone over the car personally, making sure it wasn’t going to break down, or worse, cause an accident. That gave Tony some peace of mind.
The door opened, and Peter stepped into the living room, plastic bags hanging from his arms and backpack over his shoulder. He transferred some of the bags to his other hand and then shimmied his backpack off, tossing it with a thump by the door.
A broad smile stretched across his face when Morgan looked up at him, her wings fluttering and then charging toward him. Tony dashed after her, but she reached Peter first, grabbing onto his legs and looking up at him.
“Piggy ride.”
“My hands are a little full right now, Momo, but I’ll hold you in a minute. Promise.”
Morgan huffed, her wings arching up and flapping again. She took off back to the coffee table, bumping into Tony’s leg on the way.
“Don’t mind me,” Tony said with a smile. He looked at Peter, the kid looked tired but otherwise okay. “Hey, kid, how was the trip? Your jalopy make it alright?”
“Thelma’s a champ. Though she’s burning oil like crazy still but that’s no biggie. I keep some spare on the backseat.”
Tony drew a breath, shaking his head. “I really wish you’d let me buy you something newer.”
“Me and Thelma, we’re connected. She’s ride or die, Mr. Stark. I can’t just replace her because she’s a little needy.”
“Yeah, whatever that means.”
Peter started walking toward the kitchen but paused when he passed near the couch. “Why are all the pillows on the floor?”
“Morgan is going through the flying phase.”
Understanding crossed Peter’s face. “Yeah, I guess I was really a handful then. May told me stories from my mom about me trying to fly off the stairs.”
“Shh, don’t give her ideas.”
“You know it’s normal, right? All kids go through this.”
Tony huffed. “Normal or not, I’m not letting my baby girl get a concussion.”
Peter went to the table and placed his shopping bags down, digging into them. He pulled out a package of Oreos and chocolate chip cookies with a grin. Tony raised a brow. Next came Twizzlers followed by Hershey Kisses.
“Really, Pete? You’re not giving all those to Morgan.”
Peter laughed. “Duh, I’m gonna eat some, too. Oh, and I got ice cream.” He produced a container of chocolate with marshmallow swirl.
“You’re putting her to bed tonight then, and make sure she brushes her teeth.”
Peter shrugged, taking the ice cream over to the freezer and stashing it by the frozen peas. “When’s Pepper coming home?”
Tony rolled his eyes. “You know, it drives me crazy you’ll call everyone else by their first name but me.”
“Sorry, not sorry, Mr. Stark. It’s gone on too long. We can’t change it now. It’s our thing.”
Tony shook his head, picking up the cookies and putting them away in the cupboard. “Pep should be home some. I need to start on dinner soon, but no treats until after, or I’ll never get her to eat real food.”
Peter turned, leaning on the counter. His gaze drifted past Tony, and then his eyes went wide. “Wait, Mo!” And then he was charging toward the living room.
Spinning, Tony saw what had startled him. Morgan was on the back of the couch, trying to stand, her wings flapping uselessly behind her.
Tony took off toward her just as Peter caught her in his arms, setting her on the floor. Morgan looked utterly put out to have missed out on flying, and Tony’s heart was still recovering from seeing her nearly jump. He hadn’t thought of putting pillows behind the couch. He’d thought she’d only jump off the arms or cushions.
xXx
Peter crouched down to be on Morgan’s level and brushed her hair back from her eyes. She was scowling at him. It was adorable how well she could pout.
“You can’t fly, Mo. I know it sucks, but our wings just don’t work like that.”
Her frown deepened, and she huffed. “Not fair.”
“I know it’s not, but there are lots of other cool things we can do.”
“Like what?”
His face scrunched in thought. “Well, uh, we can glide, which is nearly as cool as flying.”
He heard Tony sigh behind him. “Not to rain on your parade, but I don’t want anyone trying to glide either. Two feet on the ground at all times, them’s the rules. My house, so I get the final say.”
Peter rolled his eyes, making Morgan giggle. He tapped her nose with his finger and leaned in to whisper to her. “I’ll teach you to glide when you’re older. That’s what brothers are for.”
And Peter didn’t mind, and it was right that he be the one to teach her. It made him sad to think about, but Tony wouldn’t be able to take her gliding with his wings. Pepper could teach her, but if Peter was honest, it was something that he wanted to do with his sister when the time came.
Morgan grinned, seeming content with Peter’s offer. She turned and took off back to her toy hoard, and there wasn’t any other word for it. Tony spoiled her. They all did. Even Happy got in on it. And her Uncle Rhodey was always stopping by with cool toys. It was like a competition between him and Tony to see who could outdo the other.
Peter might not have had endless toys to bring with him, but he had something they all didn’t. He had raven wings, raven wings that made Morgan settle even when she was having the worst tantrum in history. She loved his wings.
Whenever they were together, she insisted he showed them so she could climb up underneath and let them settle over her. She was even getting better at preening. She didn’t pull on his feathers as badly as she used to.
Tony called over to Morgan, “I’m going to start the lasagna. Be good for your brother, Maguna.”
Peter grinned. “Of course, she’ll be good. I brought treats.”
Tony laughed, rolling his eyes. “Bribery only gets you so far. Just remember, you’re the one putting her to bed.”
Tony excused himself to the kitchen, and Peter glanced at Morgan, who was playing with a small, robotic dog. It looked like something Tony had built.
The down of her wings was puffed up, and some spots were being pushed out by adult feathers. She needed someone to preen to her wings a little.
Shaking his wings onto his back, he walked over to the chair next to Morgan and squatted down, resting his forearms on his knees. He peered over her shoulder, watching as she fed her doll to the robotic dog.
With the lightest touch, he rested a hand on her soft, downy wings. “Hey, Mo, whatcha got there?”
The small baby doll blinked at Peter as Morgan rolled her onto her side to better fit her into the dog's mouth.
“I’m feeding, Molly.”
The corner of Peter’s mouth tugged up. He shook his head a little. He was pretty sure this was just regular imaginative play and not some red flag about future problems. Morgan was just very creative.
Now that he was up close, he could see her wings better and brushed his fingers over the tufts of down that were sticking up. It wasn’t good to pluck the down, but he could smooth it out.
“I’m gonna preen your wings while you feed Molly. That sound okay?”
She nodded and continued her elaborate play. Peter gently ran his fingers through the down and feathers, letting them run through his fingers. He found a spot the down was knotted, and he worked it out.
“Ow!”
“Sorry, Mo. I won’t do it again. I think I’m all done. You want to do mine?”
If you had told Peter that he would be letting a child touch his wings before, he would have laughed, but now it felt natural. He wasn’t scared. How could he look at himself in such a bad light when the sunshine that was Morgan existed with wings just as black as his.
He carefully turned and got on his knees, so his wings were facing her, and a moment later, he felt her little hands ruffling the feathers. He let himself relax while she played with his wings. At one point, he was pretty sure Molly, the robotic dog, got involved and was walking across his wings. He didn’t mind, though.
He heard Morgan yawn, and he turned to see her looking back at him with tired eyes. Smiling, he got up and scooped her into his arms before settling on the couch, so his wings weren’t in the way.
Morgan wiggled into his side, pressing against him and touching his wing. She felt warm under his wing. The air was starting to smell like lasagna, and he knew dinner would be soon.
He didn’t intend to sleep when he closed his eyes, but he still drifted off, waking a little later to someone running their fingers through his hair. He blinked his eyes open, seeing Pepper looking down at him. Morgan was still tucked into his side.
“Hey, dinner will be ready soon. Why don’t you and Morgan get washed up?”
Sucking in a big breath, he yawned, dragging a hand over his face. He looked down at Morgan, who was still out cold.
Brushing her hair back from her face, he said her name a few times, getting a little louder each time. Finally, she stirred and looked up at him and then to her mother, who was still nearby.
Unlike Peter, Morgan didn’t need a minute to wake up. She went from zero to sixty in two seconds flat, launching off the couch and crashing into her mother’s legs.
Peter got off the couch and stretched his wings once before pulling them close and tucking them away. He wandered to the kitchen where Tony was cutting up the garlic bread. A bowl of salad was already on the table and the places set.
“Is there anything I can do?” Peter asked.
Tony shook his head. “Nope, I got everything under control, believe it or not. Maybe you can help Pepper get Morgan ready?”
“Yeah, sure, no problem.”
Peter could hear Morgan arguing with Pepper from the kitchen, and it only got louder when he got closer.
“I want my wings!” Morgan shouted.
“Sweetie, it’s better to put them away when we eat. It’s more comfortable to sit in the chairs.”
Morgan crossed her arms and huffed. “I don’t wanna.”
Peter walked over, kneeling in front of her. He tilted his head to the side. “Hey, Mo, we need to put our wings away sometimes. You can take them back out after.”
The little girl growled at him, honest to God growled. Peter glanced up at Pepper, who shrugged a shoulder. He looked back at Morgan.
“If you put your wings away, I’ll let you have an extra scoop of ice cream tonight.”
Morgan’s eyes widened just a fraction. “I get two?”
“Yep.”
She chewed her lip for a moment but then nodded her head. Squeezing her eyes shut and scrunching her nose, she pulled her wings tight against her and then made them disappear.
“Thank you, Peter,” Pepper said. “Do you mind taking her to wash her hands?”
“No problem. We’ll be right back.”
Peter scooped Morgan up and swung her onto his back, running towards the bathroom while Morgan squealed in delight.
After they were both clean and shirts a little wet from sprayed water, they went to the kitchen table, and Peter helped Morgan into her seat.
Dinner went well. Peter talked about starting college soon, and his budding relationship with MJ. Ned was coming to MIT with him, so that was cool.
Pepper talked about her meetings and how SI was doing, and Tony ate three helpings of lasagna while talking about how he spent his day with Morgan. Tony had become a stay at home dad, something that some people were surprised by, but those people didn’t really know him well then.
Morgan tried hiding her salad under a piece of her lasagna, but it didn’t go unnoticed.
“You need to eat the green stuff, too, Maguna,” Tony said.
“Don’t like it.”
Tony sighed, reaching over and picking up a piece of green pepper. “Eat this, and we’ll call it good.”
Morgan eyes it suspiciously but nibbled on the end.
Peter looked at Tony. “If it’s any consolation, I didn’t eat a single vegetable until I was like ten.”
Tony shook his head, a small smirk tugging at his lips. “You’ve been bitten by a radioactive spider, so your example doesn’t count.”
Morgan finished her green pepper and then pushed the plate away. “Ice cream?”
Peter laughed, getting up and taking his plate and stacking hers on top of it. “Yep. It’s chocolate with marshmallow swirl.”
Peter helped Pepper and Tony clean the table and pack away the leftovers. Morgan sat in her chair, watching them, swinging her legs.
As Pepper wiped down the table, Peter got a few bowls out and grabbed the cookies and candy, too. If he was gonna spoil her, he was going big.
“Do you and Tony want some?” Peter asked Pepper who was washing her hands.
“I’m all set, sweetie. Tony probably wants some, though.”
“Just a little,” Tony said, straightening the leaning tower of leftovers in the fridge.
Peter scooped Tony’s first, handing it to him as he passed beside him. Tony took it to the living room, finding his usual chair and plopping down. He filled the other two bowls with ice cream and tossed some cookies on the side for Morgan, leaving the candy on the counter for later.
After he put away the ice cream, he set a bowl in front of Morgan, along with a spoon, and sat next to her.
She managed the first bite with little mess, but soon, her face was covered in ice cream.
Sticky hands wrapped around the spoon and shoveled bite after bite into her mouth. She paused to nibble on the cookies, then her eye caught the Twizzlers, and any hope she wasn’t going to have a sugar high was thrown out the window.
He grabbed the Twizzlers and peeled a few out of the package for her, observing her as she chewed them. He didn’t want her to choke.
When the pieces got too slimy and small, he took them away and grabbed a wet cloth to wipe her face and hands.
The moment her feet hit the floor, her wings were back out, and she was running off at warp speed for the living room. Peter finished cleaning up the rest of the mess and then joined the rest of the family.
The only thing that was missing was May. Having her there would have made his night complete, but she had to work. Apparently, car insurance for Peter didn’t come cheap. He’d offered to pay, but May wanted him to worry about buying what he needed for college instead, though Tony was covering the actual tuition. He’d tried to argue it, but Tony had dug his heels in and made a scene. It was easier to just agree than keep arguing.
Tony was already looking drowsy by the time he got to the living room, stretched out in his recliner with his ice cream bowl and spoon on his lap. Pepper listening to Morgan ramble about her toy dog, nodding at all the right moments. Morgan was talking a mile a minute. Clearly, the heavy dose of sugar was having an effect.
Pepper looked up at Peter with tired eyes. She’d had a busy day, and Peter felt for her.
“Hey, Mo, how about we go outside, and I show you something cool?”
“Like what?” Morgan turned to him, head tilting to the side.
“Remember I said we could fly, and your dad doesn’t want you to glide yet, but there is something else kinda fun. It’s kind of like gliding.”
She pursed her lips and then nodded, tossing the toy dog down on the floor.
“Be careful,” Pepper said as Peter took Morgan’s hand, guiding her out.
“I wouldn’t hurt her. She’ll be safe.”
Peter brought Morgan down to the driveway and turned to face her, letting his wings fall onto his back. Morgan watched him curiously, a line etched between her brows.
“Okay, now watch me. You should be able to do this, too.”
Peter bent a little and let his wings stretch out behind him, flapping them a few times. He could feel the power they had, even if they couldn’t get him off the ground.
Staying kind of low, he began to run down the driveway, feeling the wind catch his wings, then he jumped, flapping a few times, and got off the ground just a little. It was almost like gliding. He managed to stay in the air for a few seconds, longer than if he hadn’t used his wings.
When he looked back at Morgan, she was already flapping her wings and taking position at the start of the driveway, a look of sheer concentration on her face.
Peter smiled at her and waved for her to go. She took off as fast as her little legs could go, and Peter hoped she could get some lift.
Once she was running as fast as she could go, she jumped and flapped, stretching her wings. She didn’t stay up long, but it was enough for her face to split into a wide grin.
“Again!”
Peter laughed as he watched her run back the other way and repeat the process again.
Eventually, Morgan began to slow as she tired herself out. Peter gathered her up and carried her inside. She rested her head on his shoulder as he walked. When he got back into the house, Tony was snoring in his chair, and Pepper was reading a book. She looked up when he walked by.
“Have fun? I took some pictures from the window. I can’t believe how grown up she’s getting.”
“Me either,” Peter said, still holding her tight. He ducked his head to see Morgan’s eyes were closed. “I think she’s ready to sleep for a few days.”
Pepper laughed. “She’s her father’s daughter. Give a few hours, and she’ll be recharged enough to go again. Of all things she could have gotten from Tony, she had to get his sleep schedule.”
“You want me to take her up? I’ll make sure she brushes her teeth and get her changed into some PJs.”
Relief washed over her, causing her shoulders to drop. “Thank you, Peter. Maybe we should be paying you when you come for a visit.”
He shook his head. “It’s no big deal. I always wanted to be a big brother.”
“Well, thank you again, Peter. Her pajamas are in the second drawer. I can give her a bath tomorrow.”
Peter carried Morgan upstairs, stepping into the bathroom first. Bending, he lowered the lid to the toilet and then gently nudged Morgan on the shoulder. She grumbled, but her eyes opened, and she looked around.
“Hey, little miss, we need to brush those teeth.”
Her bottom lip stuck out, but she wiggled out of his arms, and Peter set her on the closed toilet. He got her toothbrush ready and helped her brush her teeth, picking her up to spit in the sink after.
With that out of the way, Peter picked her back up and carried her to her room, setting her on her bed. He kneeled in front of her, untying her shoes and taking them off. He peeled off her socks afterward, sticking them in her shoes for now.
As he went to her dresser to find pajamas, he glanced back over his shoulder and asked, “Hey, Mo, can you put your wings away now?”
She nodded a few times quickly and then willed them away as Peter found her something to wear.
He helped her into her PJs, his wings still out behind him. Morgan grabbed the feathers for balance.
Once she dressed, a huge yawn broke from her, and she stretched her arms over her head. She crawled across her bed, grabbing her blanket and pillows and making something of a nest. He’d forgotten how young children found comfort in the primal activity. It was a remnant of times past.
She wriggled down into her nest and looked up at Peter. “Story, please?”
Peter smiled. “Yeah, how about I tell you the story of how I met your dad.”
Her brow wrinkled in thought. “He’s your dad, too.”
“Yeah, yeah, I guess he is. You’re right, Mo. How about I tell you the story of how we all became a family instead.”
