I work very hard internally to resist the thrall of parasocial relationships, I work to keep a distance (almost a professional distance) between myself and the people's who's work and art I admire, to remind myself that I do not know them and that to presume I do so is odd and invasive.
My friends I am working overtime right now not to get myself emotionally attached to multi award winning actor, family man and outspoken queer and trans ally David Tennant in this particular rough patch I'm going through I am fighting so goddamned hard.

Okay, a few people have wished me a happy womens day today and like. I appreciate the sentiment, I do, but I'm not a woman. Yes, im afab, and the patriarchy does affect me, so i share lots of struggles with women. I am, however, not a woman. Please dont wish me a happy womens day just cause im not a man either. reading some takes on good omens is painful. "this story can represent queerness even if the writers didn't intend it." bro. bro look me in the eyes. the writers fucking intended it. i'm sorry the only queer literature you've consumed is 2010s young adult novels about two boys coming out to each other and going to the prom. but this story dissecting christianity is in fact a queer one. this story playing with gender is in fact a queer one. this story where the main characters are consistently facing homophobic microaggressions is in fact a queer one. please.
#the book is chock full of references to 80s/90s queer culture#and i understand why hashtag kids these days might not get that but seriously just. think a little bit while you read.#and this post is about the book but the series is also EXPLICITLY queer#im taking the word queerbaiting AWAY from you people#this is a story full of non-binary and non-straight people#non-binary people are queer#asexuals are queer#and also if the leads were a man and a woman there would be no fucking QUESTION this story that is structured like a romance and has#romantic tensions and confessions and tender longing moments#is a fucking romance jesus christ#this is why english lit is mandatory

Similar to the other post I just made but I need to scream it again into tumblr because I want to: MY PARENTS ARE SO AMAZING you guys if you think people from different generations can’t understand us (especially queer people) that’s not true my parents are literally the best
#when I came out to them for the first time as lesbian my mom legit said she was glad at least one out of 4 kids was queer lmao#it was a joke ofc but I thought it was funny#plus we’re actually 2 out of 4 cause one of my sisters is bi#then when I came out to them as demigirl they just looked at me with smiles and asked me what that meant lmao#so I told them I identify as somewhere between girl and non binary on the gender spectrum#and that I like she/her/they/them pronouns equally#and they just thanked me for telling them#and then a few days ago I told my mom about QPRs and how two of my closest friends are actually my queerplatonic partners#and she listened to me with so much attention like aaahh#i wish everyone could have parents like me#queer people shouldn’t ever feel othered in their own family#on that note my grandma sucks….. but this isn’t about her#queer family#queer love#queerness#gender#sexuality#qpr

Since we have split custody and only get the kiddo every other weekend, we’re celebrating Non-Binary Parents Day for me today! The kiddo planned a Beetlejuice theme for me. They planned breakfast with “BJ foods,” sent me on a scavenger hunt to find all the times they’d hidden “BJ” around their room, and we were going to have Beetlejuice art time and a viewing of the movie, but decided it was lunch time.
Also that Beetlejuice the movie is not suitable for them at this age. 😬

#I’m thinking about Hebrew high when I was grouped with the boys for a day and we talked about circumsicioun#but I’m intersex and was afab#I dont have a dick#which led me to thinking about drivers Ed this week#one kid kept saying that I was a dude#IM NOT#like I’m masc and often look like a guy#but I’m not#I’m genderqueer#I take pride in that#I also take pride in being afab#I’m no world am I a guy#and I don’t want to be viewed like that#I think just walking on the street people think I’m a guy#my classmates think I’m a transman#my family think I’m an intersex girl#my close friends think I’m non-binary and afab#I feel like my gender and sex is too complex#I’m intersex#afab#genderqueer#and can appear very masc or very fem#I think if I tried to look androgynous people might start to see me for me#doesn’t help that I keep my orientation simple#I’m just queer#but I’ve only had masc partners#I think today I’m going to go unbinded#and dress fem#see if I can be seen as a girl
