Hiiii, Ard! thanks for being interested in my opinion xD I'll start with THE question hehe
10. OTP
Who could that be...? 🤔😅 I'm going to use this opportunity to finally make a verbal statement about why i love my otp so much.
I started watching Naruto as an experiment in 2022 (at the ripe age of 28) and the land of waves arc got to me: Haku's death (and the way Zabuza used him -yes, i have beef with that guy) got my empathy involved, and Kakashi-sensei charmed me by being incredibly cool AND mysterious. The mysterious part about the origin of his sharingan intrigued me the most: what do you mean "a friend gave it to him"??? who is this friend? where is he? are they still friends? All those questions needed answers. So i learned about Obito Uchiha (mostly through fanart). Then i cried my eyes out watching Kakashi Gaiden and stalled the war arc as long as i could because i knew what was going to happen, and by then i’d already fallen in love with them beyond reason.
Before anything else, this ship is so powerful because separately Kakashi and Obito are incredibly well-written characters. Yes, they complete each other and share their arc till the end, but nevertheless, each of them is autonomous, believable, complex, and deep. They are both the main dish. So the dynamic, the bond they establish between them feels true and natural. One has this sunshine personality, is kind, caring, tenderhearted, and fun; the other has too much to deal with for his age: being a genius will mess with your pride and sense of worth, but not with your tiny, pure, brave heart. Kid Obito and kid Kakashi are so precious, you wanna shield them from everything that is wrong with the world. And then tragedy №1 and tragedy №2 happen that push these two boys to realize they were supposed to be each other’s lifeline. Obito got a head start over Kakashi though. When Kakashi finally sees Obito for who he really is, the sacrifice is already made, leaving Kakashi attached to his lifeline that goes nowhere.
Tragedy №3 crushes their souls one more time and marks the beginning of the horrendous paths they take: Kakashi drowning himself in guilt and the violence of ANBU missions; Obito being groomed, brainwashed and manipulated into a gruesome conspiracy that perverted his ideals. And despite everything that happens next, they still hold on to their lifeline (the shared sharingan serving as the visualization). They are loyal to each other in their own ways. Kakashi lets his memory of Obito guide him and help him live, while Obito never seeks vengeance or takes the eye back. He even goes beyond imaginable and saves Kakashi’s life one last time.
They were written to be tragic, but they were also meant to be special. If only Kishimoto had more sympathy and allowed Obito another chance. Those two precious boys could start all over. And this time, post war, their respect, longing, sorrow, adoration, grief, regrets, hopes would be shared, and the love that had struggled to grow for so long would finally be in full blossom.

3. Favorite villain
(No worries, sweet anon, i don’t consider Obito a villain xD) The key villains like Madara or Danzo remind me of middle-aged men who get hung up on conspiracy theories and start believing that they have the world figured out. So they are more annoying than scary to me. And a villain should be frightening, i think. In the ninja world this would be Orochimaru. He’s an egomaniac, a sensible madman, who is deceitful, merciless, and cruel. We were shown such atrocities, so much abuse, torture, and physical pain inflicted on innocent people. And for what? I’m not sure i fully understand his motives: was it out of fear of death? Or is this just him doing what he loves? He IS the worst, and yet, by the end of shippuden he turns into a comedy bit?! Seriously?! This is all kinds of wrong xD But the facts remain, he is a good villain, creepy and scary.
To lighten up the mood i'll attach this scene from Rock Lee and his Ninja Pals that shows the funniest wtf-ish way to defeat Orochimaru xD (now i wonder what else Kakashi can do with his water jutsu ..)

What are among your favorite Lumity fic recommendations?
Ooh, okay. Making me go back through my bookmarks, huh? I've got quite a few!
no1. If Not Now by Bazaar. Iconic post-Grom(?) fic that literally shaped part of the way I wrote them as well. It's great.
no2. learning how to be (with you by my side) by uniqueusernamegenerator. Roommates AU. Lowkey soulmates but not actually. It's really well-written.
no3. pet names by cowardnthief. Again an older one, and this is the shortest on the list, but it's really sweet and funny, too.
no4. Touch Hungry by SquirrelWriter. This one's an Amity character study, but Lumity's also prevalent in the fic, considering how much Luz does to help with Amity's development. It's basically most of my own headcanons all boiled into one beautiful 14k masterpiece, and it's an incredible (and emotional) read.
no5. Last but not least, we have the incredible (beyond witches and slippers and hoods) just the two of us by exalteddm. Another Roommates AU and this one has Azura symbolism! I actually drew fanart for this fic when I first read it, that's how serious I was. It's really well-written and one of my all-time favorites.

this is both the most vague as well as the longest file in my wip folder and mostly deals with my feelings re sovereign immunity in general and the fact that as king, Wille can't be prosecuted for his actions.
(I have an embarrassing amount of irl notes on that, so I practically have to turn this into a fic now)
One of my favorite things about Wille is the fact that he's both impulsive, as well as capable of long term scheming and seeing plans through, and I love that combination.
Now add to that Wille being King as well as something happening to Simon/Ayub/Rosh which requires haste, shadiness and worse to be resolved, and well ... Wille would go all out to help no matter what, and Simon would have all the some moral dilemmas but not enough to stop Wille.
I mean Wille pulled a rifle on his cousin knowing he'd get away with it. Even if you ignore the cousin bit, August is still a noble and not a nobody. But what if the 'antagonist' was an actual criminal or at least someone everyone'd consider shady?
How far would Wille go, both as a snap decision to get them out of immediate circumstances as well as in the long term?
I have a bunch of incoherent snippets and different plot string ideas already, but nothing specific yet apart from drabble no3 I posted a while ago, naively thinking doing so would satisfy that particular itch (spoiler: it did not):
"I am the King," Wilhelm says, not meeting anyone’s eyes.
"So you’re saying you’ll up and run and let us fend for ourselves then?" Rosh asks, anything but amused.
"You get that you’ll never have to worry about paying rent or putting food on the table, don’t you? You’ll survive a scandal like this. Unlike us, the lowborn trash you're too ashamed to stick up for."
"No," Wilhelm says, a plan slowly beginning to take shape in his mind. "What I’m saying is that unlike you I have absolute immunity from criminal charges. My father being regent doesn’t change that."
This is still very much at the 'throwing things at the wall' stage though, and will remain so probably until after s3 airs, because they've already started filming, and I really want to finish ALaWHEO before s3 comes out and well ... I already fear I'm cutting that close considering all that's still to come there lol

here's some I personally like. I like almost every pikachu clone too, as well as like every dog/cat pokemon out there (besides Purugly). I also love small pokemon like Joltik and Fomantis. I just like a bunch of them to be honest. There's too many to like.

Unpopular opinion but as much as I love Sakura’s character and progression, I don’t want her to win the poll either. Over the past few months, the fandom surrounding her have grown quite intolerable because of their superiority complex and toxic attitude. This is not towards *everyone* in her fandom, and I understand passion to protect one’s favorite character, but some individuals put a bad rep for the Sakura fandom. I don’t condone unnecessary Sakura (SasuSaku) bashing, but it seems like having a different opinion to the two incites harmful comments.
Now that she’s No3 on the popularity poll, some people are making it seem as if she’s *objectively* the best female character in Naruto (I disagree). And I’ve seen a few Sakura stans bash people who support other female characters. With others even putting the likes of Tsunade down despite her being Sakura’s master and being the roots of her development. It’s sad and I fear that I will never hear the end of this “Sakura superiority” if she ranks higher or remains Top 3. Again, I respect the character and the passionate fans of Sakura, but some take things too far that it’s no longer fun.
I’m voting for Kakashi too because he’s a dear character to me and we haven’t canonically seen him since Chapter 699. (I don’t care for the Mirai manga) I would have loved to vote for a side character but this is a popularity poll at the end of the day. And the slander about the rest of Team 7 not being popular as popular as Sakura anymore is jarring to me because this only happened due to the promised special manga, like the other anon said. I really needed to rant, sorry. And again, I don’t mean harm with my opinion. It’s just hard having one on the Twitter sphere because I’ve already been attacked and branded as a “Sakura hater” for having a different opinion.
As always, a fandom takes a thing and drives it to extreme. If we all had the same opinion it would have been soooo boring, so what they're going after is just meaningless. I've been also advised to encourage people voting for Sakura but just ignored it. You'll get some Kakashi agitation material istead 🤷♀️

Those are wonderful prompts, thank you! I thought about writing them all, but I have absolutely zero ideas about no3, and no2 would be spoiler-y for the fic if I wrote it as a scene :P
So! I wrote something for no1, and threw my ideas for no2 as small notes after that.
1)
The night was dark, the new moon and stars hidden behind thin white clouds. It was silent too, with only the rare clunking of armoured boots coming from the town's watchtowers. The silence would last for long though. In a couple hours, the bakers would wake up, and with the warm scent of their work, the town would gently follow.
Not her though.
She hadn’t slept at all tonight. She had faked drowsiness, of course, when her husband joined their bed, but she was up and out of the covers as soon as she heard his breathing relax. She was still sitting on the bed, her feelings pushing her to get up but her thoughts fighting back.
She was looking towards the dark nightstand, where she knew his wedding gift was. A rose in a small glass dome. It was a polite gift and one that her husband had always been considerate of. They had closed 10 years together, and in all this time, he would replenish the rose each time it withered. Of all the ways an arranged, loveless marriage could go, theirs had probably gone the best. Both of them did their part, and both respected each other's decisions. The woman was grateful for her luck.
Yet, as she looked towards the imprisoned rose, something inside her was screaming. It was irrational and even childish. Her mind dreamed of new places, the fear and joy of new experiences, new faces, places where she could unshackle herself, free of the manners a married woman of the town should keep. She wanted to run, she wanted to laugh without thought, she wanted to scream.
She wondered if the rose felt the same way. It had sun and water, it was sheltered from the wind and frost. Yet it felt not the touch of wind, the caress of rain or the hug of the soil.
Taking a deep breath, she stood to her feet. In the dark, she walked to the dresser and picked a few travel clothes she deemed necessary. In her activity, her mind still trailed back to the rose and also, to her sleeping husband. She wondered how his days would change from now on. Would he wake earlier to make breakfast, or would he prepare something cold the night before? Would he feel relieved that he would now only have himself to provide for? Would he miss her? Would she miss him? She shook her head. Questions for another time.
It didn’t take her long to gather most essentials. She took some of the salted meat, one of their big water jugs and the last day’s leftover bread. She packed them all neatly in a sack and let it rest next to a lantern by the door.
As she walked down the stairs to the cellar where their candles were stored, an idea struck her. It would risk waking up the man, and it would only give her fleeting satisfaction, but the moment the thought came to mind, she became dead set on doing it. Rushing a bit, she grabbed two handfuls of candle sticks for the lantern and quietly rushed up the stairs again.
After repacking the sack, she took hold of one of the candles and walked outside. She shivered in the sudden cold. Quickly she made her way to the light pole closest to home, borrowing its flame with the candle.
Then she was back in her house again, returning for the last time.
With gentle quiet steps, she entered the bedroom, her eyes shifting from the man to the rose and back to him again. To her relief, the light only made him turn away and pull the covers over his head.
With more confidence now, she took the dome off the rose. It was at its first stages of wilting, and a lone petal fell to the floor. She picked up the rose, with a gentleness that its thorns didn’t dare pierce, and she placed it on the stone floor next to its lost petal. Then, she ran the flame throughout the stem, lighting the flower on fire. She hoped the man would get the message.
Exiting the house for the final time, she looked to the sky, looking for something. Reassurance? Strength? Blessings? Willpower? She didn’t really know.
And she didn’t know what the shooting star she saw across the sky gave her, but it was enough to get her moving.
Like it, she would cross the world. Like it, her dreams would shine brighter than the mundaneness of her past. Like it, she would move forward.

This probably counts as multiple scenes, and I'm not 100% sure that I communicated the story as well as I wanted to, but I spent a couple hours being lost on how to improve it, so... This will have to do.

Marika’s favourite thing is how Rennala takes on her leader duties. Neither of them was raised to be a Queen, but Rennala took on that duty naturally, with ease and composure, while Marika still struggles to keep up the appearance of regality.
Rennala’s favourite thing is Marika’s sincerity and bluntness. Granted, Marika is only sincere towards Rennala and her kids, anyone else is fair game for deceit and manipulation. But even in her most untrustworthy moments, she is as blunt and direct as she can be and Rennala loves it.

Thank you so much for the prompts!! no1 actually made me really want to write some original fiction, there's something really cool about the freedom you can have with it. At least compared to the way I personally write fanfiction.
I might start exploring an idea or two I had in my old notes...

alright, in descending order:
vah medoah and the rito - definitely the highlight of the game, it felt genuinely kinda fresh and interesting, it had nice music associated with it, it had the better written characters from across the entire game, and well vah medoah isn't my favorite of the divine beasts its certainly on lock for no2. windblight ganon kinda sucks though, nothing that ya need to particularly watch out for but of the blights he unfortunately has to sit no3. overall though a stand out example of the sum of pieces working in tandem to create something engaging. also revali best bird and ancient champion. teba best modern champion.
vah naboris and the gerudo - definitely inspite of the gerudo themselves who are overall flat and uninteresting which when put against their only other actual appearance in ocarina of time is kinda sad. however, desert environments always fascinate me and well most of the working parts are definitely lesser then they should, the yiga hideout is too short and easy, the disguise section feels pointlessly superficial, sand surfing and shooting arrows at naboris isnt as exciting as it should be, but despite that the overall sum of parts is superior as the section keeps ya doing new things pretty frequently. it also helps that vah naboris is the best divine beast in the game, simply by virtue of having the most puzzle to actually puzzle over with rotations and the like. weaker then any given dungeon from almost any other zelda sure, but the best of the divine beasts at the least. thunderblight ganon also sits comfortably at no1 of the blight bosses, requiring some more thought then any other blight ever really asks with its fast movements if linear movements and electricity. coupled with its smaller size. the area ya fight it is a bit to cramped for comfort though but still. urobosa on the other hand sits at no3 of the ancient champions easily, not really having anything to her except 'is mothering'. sure daruk is about as stale but atleast it feels like he has an actual arc of sorts if a very pointless one. speaking of daruk...
vah rudania and the gorons - nothing that really stands out as awful or good, but on the other hand that means this section is pretty darn inoffensive overall because it simply relies on whats been tried and well tested for gorons before. death mountain, hot fire, special armor to survive heat, bombs, brief escort for utilitarian purposes, into death mountain itself for the dungeon. nothing to write home about, nothing to really complain about. that is as you can infer however also the problem, everything's functional but nothings really exciting bare maybe the brief stealth section segment. rudania is functional but with nothing to really sell it as memorable siting comfortably at a no3 spot. fireblight ganon is functional as a boss, provides more challenge and interest then windblight ganon, but never really hits the same level of a test of skill like thunderblight ganon. daruk is the cool goron guy same as any other, though like i said atleast it feels like he has the ghost of an arc. functional, inoffensive, but not really exciting.
vah ruta and the zora - in part this section suffers the curse of clearly being the intended start point for new players, but that also doesnt excuse how utterly underwhelming and tedious this section is. a boring linear treck to the domain that they literally funnel ya down, and the only busy work they really provide you is gathering shock arrows and an on rails shooting section as a challenge to enter the divine beast. ruta again suffers from likely being designed with being the first most people will tackle in mind, but it really doesnt help to basically only have the one puzzle to actually worry about in the dungeon, and one thats pretty straightforward to grasp. waterblight even as a first boss is almost clownishly embarrassing with large prominent openings, large stagger times and basically only having the 1 or 2 attacks in its repertoire. as for mipha, not only is she basically designed to be the sloppy seconds/sacrificed on the alter of zelink the games obsessed with, they dont even really try to milk anything from that either. shes entirely disposable effectively and thats frustrating as all hell. as for sidon, you'll notice i havent talked about yubano and riju in their relevant sections. and thats because sidon and them all kinda fall into the same catagory for me; generally more interesting then the ancient champions but lacking in anything to really grab hold of in terms of character and narrative. their underutilized effectively, and teba is also arguably underutilized but i maintain hes the most interesting of the bunch. if only by virtue of feeling more complete.

top 3 scenes wot ep 3?
!!! Another tricky one.
First has gotta be the first scene with Nynaeve and her escaping and later killing the Trolloc that dragged her away in the first place. Fucking iconic. She is the moment and the Best Character, btw.
Also!! Mat's conversation with the Gleeman over the dead body that he's robbing. Mat was peak in this episode in general, really, but that was my favorite of his moments, I think.
No3 is the Gleeman's song when they first get into the bar. I'm a sucker for songs in shows, and this one was great in general. If I can find it, I will definitely be adding it to my playlist. That, or the scene where Moiraine gets treated because LORE.

literally i love this album like truly shoutout to past me who saw how much you love csh and said. i should give this a listen. i would say i mostly listen to twin fantasy as one complete work so i maybe?? have less opinions on individual songs. because the whole thing like. goes together so nice. that being said beach-life-in-death i do listen every time i'm in my car and like. just a lot overall. i think maybe my favorite full album i've listened to extensively this year. definitely like. i think it'll stick with me for a long time coming.

okay this one at first i didn't like as much but like....i do listen to individual songs off it maybe more...i have no idea why not what i needed like. got into my constant rotation but i do listen to it a LOT??? very sad about the whole cars sample thing like rik ocasik whyyyy. anywayy cosmic hero no3 bc i'm REALLY obsessed with the live version it always always gets stuck in my head. also friends with drugs...always getting stuck in my head. i am VERY SAD because i really like madlo too but the only tour dates sort of close to me are on a WEDNESDAY and a THURSDAY the week before spring break so i could not justify driving four hours somewhere on a WEEKDAY!!!!

My Top Favorite Works of 2020, So Far

Somehow, although it’s only one month after my one year anniversary of posting on tumblr I don’t have as many works in 2020 (and some of my favs that immediately came to mind were made - indeed - in 2019, huh!..time flies!)… this is almost like a list of what I have done in 2020 so far😂... (Or did I get it wrong and one should post not only works from 2020 but from one year of time starting backwards from now?..anyway, I think most people only took works from 2020, so that’s what I’m gonna do!)
5 fav works of 2020 so far (no particular order with some excerpt pics):
I) Safe Harbour (A young!qiucheng comic) It’s a 10 page comic (everyone who has ever drawn and coloured a comic page probably knows how much strength it takes to go through with this amount of pages…), I like it’s colour palette and how the narrative of the interaction turned out quite natural, although Qiu is sitting on He Chengs lap half of the story!
II) Matchbox Kisses I really like the atmosphere here and the experimenting with colour/shading was interesting. (the original pencil sketch was quite quick and is the size of app. two matchboxes )
III) Blown Cover And again a 10 page comic. This time a nsfw one with a good portion of humour. I’m pretty proud of the second-hand-embarrassment built-up I created here in the narrative.
IV) SixFanartsChallenge Something different for a change! It was fun drawing and looking all those various characters up! (-> Batch No1, No2)
V) 19 Days Magic AU The black and white sketchdump format is fun and relaxing to work on and I like how this story/universe allows so much freedom and creativity – plus, I love how sweet and enthusiastic some people have been with this story and that I had the pleasure to interact with– you make exploring this world even more fun! (-> Sketchdump No1, No2, No3 & some analysis/background info on the AU)
