I thought Ryou was just visually cool/cute, but now I'm fully sold to her as a character

it’s so funny if you keep the gith egg in Lae’zel’s inventory the whole time because you eventually get the chance to ask her about it and she’s like all attached and whatnot, and up until this point you can be like “well we can just pretend she’s leaving the egg in camp every day and not literally carrying it around” but then you get dialogue options to suggest to her that she leave it in camp and she’s like “Camp!?!? The place where people get kidnapped and try to fight each other and devils won’t stop showing up? I don’t think so.”

So like there is no way to headcanon your way out of the fact that Lae’zel is literally carrying this egg around every where she goes because she explicitly refuses to leave it alone in camp

Azatuhi has a dog (her bg3 version has Scratch, and she'll also have a dog in my original work). Subject to change, but I'm thinking that Aza owns a sidecar motorcycle (one of these), so the image that comes to mind is her riding with her dog on the passenger seat. Also, I have a pretty clear image of them walking side by side towards Viatrix's bookshop.

Viatrix herself has a water turtle, along with some other, less personable aquatic life. Its water tank is the most expensive thing in her apartment, and almost double the recommended size. Not set on a name for the water buddy yet, it will be very much a background creature. Time spent together would be Viatrix feeding it and watching it move around at night. She talks to it sometimes, and it helps hearing her thoughts out loud. I'm thinking something like... Deep into the night, with the only lights coming from the aquarium and the city lights through the window, Viatrix resting her head on the couch and talking to the shy turtle.

Elpis isn't fond of most animals, so she doesn't have any pets. But she does makes an exception for seagulls. They remind her of her time at sea, and she liked sailing so much that she's willing to ignore how much of a pain they can be. During her time at Elphael, she often took bread and walked around the docks, tossing pieces in the air or simply holding them up high for the seagulls to dive and "steal" them.

The devastating difference between how much time it takes to write something vs how fast people read it lol
