Natasha and Y/N are sitting at the beach. They had a picnic together and now, after eating, they’re watching the night sky together. “That’s the Ursa Major,” Y/N points at a constellation, “it’s the third largest constellation, did you know that?” She asks, her eyes bot leaving the sky.

Natasha’s eyes on the other hand, haven’t even glanced at the sky. She’s only looking at Y/N. “I didn’t know that.” Her hand lays near Y/N’s, she is debating is she should grab it.

“And that’s Ursa Minor right beside it.”

“Mhm.”

The lack of answer makes Y/N turns her gaze to Natasha, slightly surprised to see her already looking at her. They stare at each other for a while. Warmness starts spreading through Y/N’s body. “Stop looking at me like that.” She giggles quietly, letting her head fall down to hide from the intense gaze.

“Like what?” Natasha bites her lip. She is grinning from the shyness.

Shrugging, Y/N starts playing with her hands. “Like I’m the only thing you pay attention to.”

“But you are.”

Y/N rolls her eyes. “Cheesy.” She mumbles, crossing her legs to sit more comfortably. “I thought we were here to look at the stars.”

“We are, I just prefer looking at you.”

Leaning her head on her own shoulder, Y/N tries to suppress the smile growing on her face as she looks at Natasha. She always had a way with words. Their friendship had a lot of innocent flirting, but lately, Y/N has started to feel herself meaning the words she says. However, she’s way too nervous to bring it up to Natasha. She doesn’t want to ruin the friendship she has with her.

“Has anyone ever told you, that your eyes sparkle in the moonlight.”

“Shut up!” Y/N laughs, throwing her head back.

Natasha starts laughing too, “but it’s true! I’m not kidding, Y/N.”

Quietening down, the look on Y/N’s face turns into a serious one. “What are you getting at?” She asks, her voice barely above a whisper.

“I mean, that I like you.” Natasha states, her voice gentle. She moves her hand up to Y/N’s cheek, rubbing it softly with her thumb. “How mad would you be if I kissed you?” She looks straight at her eyes.

Y/N tries to find traces of playfulness from Natasha’s face, but she can only see sincerity and nervousness. “I think I’d like that a lot.”

With a smile, Natasha’s free hand takes hold of Y/N’s waist. She moves towards her, slowly, her hands caressing her. For a while they stare right in front of each other, breathing the same air. When their lips finally touch, Y/N’s eyes flutter shut. She wraps her arms around Natasha’s neck, holding her close as they kiss.

After that interesting and tense feeding, you both quietly moved to living room, settling Nadia in her playpen before heading to kitchen, moving around in a routine as you made your breakfast. It was silent as you both ate, only speaking when you announced it was Nadia's nap time, Natasha had decided to give you a little space as you put the baby to sleep.

Once down, you tiptoed out of the room, awkwardly telling Natasha, you decided to take a nap as well before hurrying to your room. Deciding to leave it alone, Natasha kept to her staying the living room watching the News in every country retrying to catch up with the year.

Natasha felt something off, a lips curled thinking about the time she told you about this sixth sense she had and you had declared you'd call it her spidey senses, she sat up quickly hearing a knock on the door.

Quietly, the redhead takes careful steps towards the front door, once close she carefully places her palms on the door lifting herself up on her toes as she peaks her eye through the peephole. Is that?

Backing up, the older woman quickly opens the door, catching the person off guard mid knock. "Aren't you supposed to be dead?" The man asked gawking at the woman in front of him - who raises an eyebrow at his words - before shaking his head, focusing on the reason for his visit, "Is Y/n here?"

"Why?"

"I just - please, is she here or not?" The man asked, the look on his face almost made the redhead feel bad for asking but she'd rather be safe than sorry; "I'll go get her - come in." Natasha walks off, heading to our - your room, not before checking on the baby, the door opens slow as the redhead takes a peep, shutting the door once seeing the sleeping babe.

Natasha frowns seeing a bright light shine through the bottom of the door. The door opens abruptly before Natasha could knock, starting both you and her, putting your hands on your chest as the other holds a baby monitor - you let out a nervous chuckle, "Nat, you scared me."

"Sorry, um what was ." Cutting her off quickly, you stepped out from your room shut the the door behind you. "Who was at the door?" You asked her with a concerned look, waiting for her wife's answer.

Focusing back to the reason she went to you, making a mental note to ask you about the light later although the way you shut you door fast tells her that she should keep it to herself, "Strange is here."

Brows scrunched in confusion as the words left Natasha mouth, 'strange?' you questioned as a list of reasons why he'd be at your house, runs through your head, "Yeah, he seemed a but anxious" Natasha stated, not noticing the face you made - her eyes trained on the door - you walked away from her; the redheads eyes followed you as left her alone.

Once you disappeared in the living room, Natasha can hear Strange asked, 'How is she alive?', She couldn't hear your response though.

Huffing, she makes her way to the living room, ignoring the tension in the room as she walks in mid conversation. Set of six eyes trained on her as Natasha eyes one of the pair she had failed to notice with Doctors Strange. What is wrong with her?

"Natasha, this is America Chavez."

"Hello, it's so cool to meet another Avenger" The teenage girl stood up from the couch, holding out her hand as she gave Natasha - who shook her hand - a big smile, "I've seen you in a different universe, in that one it was the other way around. You're not actually dead, your-"

"America." The older man clears his throat, narrowing his eyes at the younger girl - who shots him an apologetic smile - "Sit." He commands and the girl does as told, shaking his head looking between you and Natasha, "When is the last time you've spoken with Wanda?"

"Not since after Westview. Why? What happened to her?" You felt your heart quickened, you haven't seen her since that night, you'd been dying to call but life caught up with you; you couldn't help her 24/7.

Natasha eyes her wife - who peaks a glance at her causing you to shake the look you had on your face - putting another pin in that conversation, she ask instead "What the hell is Westview."

"It's a long story." You and Doctor Strange say in unison, both glance at each when the word was repeated. You told Natasha to sit down and beg and to explain where Wanda had gone after Tony's funeral, she fell into a depression after Vision died, going onto capturing a town and creating her own family and was almost arrested for it.

Strange cutting in by explaining how Wanda fell into the evil side of magic, she was too open with wanting to get her kids back that the Elder God Chthon corrupted her mind.

"So let me get this straight, Wanda was possessed by a God to get her kids back that she made up when she captured a whole town and now she may or may not be crushed by a structure."

"Nat, do you really have to say it like that?" Rolling your eyes at her choice of words, you cross your arms shaking your head at the woman sitting across from you, who gave you an innocent look, "What?"

"Don't laugh with her." Turning your head towards the younger girl - who was hiding. a chuckle - coughs when caught and sits up straight, throwing another apologetic smile, "Sorry, ma'am."

Sighing, you face the Sorcerer Supreme focusing back on Wanda, “So this happened what? A month ago? Why are you now telling us?”

"I couldn’t locate you or Barton, seems you’ve done well job at your spell.” The older man gives you an impressed look, there’s no doubt that he didn’t find you from seeing you and Clint on the news a week ago, “We didn't find a body so we searched through it again and again then we began searching for her but we wanted to make sure there were any signs of her before searching for you… We’re still planning on searching more since she can’t possibly..” Strange searched for the words.

Natasha - who seems to have another death wish, "Disappear in sparkles?"

"Natalia." You spit, eyes narrowing so much Natasha thought dagger were going to shoot out. Clearing his throat, Strange stands up peering at the two, "We'll be on our way now, let us know immediately if you find her alive.

Gaze breaking from your wife, you shot the the Sorcerer Supreme a sympathetic look, "I will, thank you.”

"Of course." Is all he says, eyes fixed on the redhead and brunette - who burdens her with a million questions about Wanda. Nodding, you speak softly, "I'll walk you out..." Guiding him towards the door and walking out with him to the gate. o

Once out of earshot, you fidget with the rings on your fingers eyes set on your wife, "Is her being alive gonna cause problems?"

"Yes."

"Okay." Is all you say, breaking into a smile once the younger girl walked over to her, "Goodbye, miss america."

America smiles nervously rocking on the heels of her foot, "Bye, ma'am." She scurried off to Strange's side - who had been in a staring competition with the redhead, "Natasha."

"Strange." Natasha raises an eyebrow, glaring at the older man, her body tense and arms crossed. Rolling your eyes, you stalk into the house, Natasha close on your tail shutting the door once she's in.

"I better call Clint." Is all you say before stalking off, pulling out your phone as you began to call him, disappearing into the kitchen, a door opening and shutting indicated Natasha that you had walked out to the backyard. The redhead gets lost in her thoughts, processing everything that had just happened. Wanda maybe being dead, something happened to her before she tried to possessive a different Wanda in a different universe so she could be with her children that she supposedly has.

Natasha can feel a headache begging to form taking up this information, sure a raccoon has sent her mail but Wanda going full Exorcist wasn't exactly something she pictured to happen.

"Hey."

Jumping, Natasha quickly turns grabbing onto the hand that touched her arm, ready to flip the person, they hold out the other arm freezing Natasha in her place, "Nat, it's me!" You watch as the redheads eyes shift to recognition taking you - she had been so lost in her thoughts she didn't even hear you come in. Once you see her calm down you unfree her, helping her balance herself, "Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."

"It's alright." Green eyes shift between yours, trying to look for secrets you've seemed to be keeping from her, "Before I knocked on your door, I saw a -"

A knock on the front door echos through the room, swallowing you watch Natasha's face before carefully speaking, hoping you wouldn't give away how you felt, "Clint's here."

Clenching her jaw she narrows her eyes at you, "I'll get it." She huffs in frustration, stalking over to the door as you watched her open it showing a nervous looking Clint and smiling Kate. "Hey."

"Come on it." Natasha throws them a tight smile at the two who throw a nervous glance at you scared Natasha was going to pounce at them, eyes begging for you to save them but it didn't help as the look on your face made them shrink more.

Huffing, you took a seat on the black wingback chair crossing your leg across the other, "Sit, we don't have all day." Is all you say that makes the two scatter in and take a seat on the couch. Once Natasha is seated, you began explains to Clint as well as Kate everything between Westview and the darkhold - making sure to maintain your anger thinking about how alone Wanda was; how Clint promised he would take care of her.

Sure he had his family back but you only your wife and had a child on the way, you put in your fifty percent and he chose to put 100 percent on his family.

Natasha - who had been eyeing the both of you - knew something was up between you two, even during Christmas it was easy to pick up the slight tension between you both, faking it to act as everything was normal but Natasha noticed the lack of words from her wife and best friend.

Though it seemed as you and Clint were fine after that heated argument, there was still something that bothered you from being able to have a normal relationship with Clint again.

"So what do we do?" Clint asked causing your eyes to roll and sneer, "I don't know Clint. Maybe we'll try to give her a call or perhaps send a letter."

"Well if Natasha came back, I’m sure Wanda made it out fine especially with her witchy powers” Clint responds to you calmly, ignoring your attitude. Something in you spiked at his words,

“Natasha came back on a slim chance of science.”

Everyone, including you, froze at your words. If it wasn’t tense enough already, it got ten times worse now. In the corner of your eye, you could see Kate practically shrink in the couch - however they focus on the movement from the baby monitor, you’d hope Natasha’s spidey senses act up again.

Clearing your throat, you stand up wiping the imaginary dirt off your pants avoiding eye contact, “I’m going to check on the baby.” You snatch the baby monitor and practically ran out of the room, Natasha eyes followed you as her stomach turned at your words - what’s going on?

Your heart pounded faster and faster the closer you got to the door, placing your hand on the doorknob, you turned it slowly pushing the door open - eyes landing on the figure standing in front of the window, rocking the baby in their arms, you shut the door before speaking, “I knew it was you.”

“I wanted to see my favorite girl.” The person spoke eyes fixated on Nadia, who happily babbles away to them - in baby words, speaking about her life if she could.

You watch them carefully not moving from the door, afraid that one sudden movement would make them disappear. Swallowing, you take a step towards them, feeling a sense of relief when the person doesn’t disappear from your sight.

“Strange’s looking for you.”

Looking away from the little redhead, you felt your heart quicken when green eyes laid on you, their nose scrunching slightly at your words, “I know, I waited for him to find you first before visiting.” Wanda grins thinking about how well her plan has gone.

Watching as she looks down at Nadia, you take a step forward, “Well.. visiting would be announcing the visit not showing up unannounced and seen.”

“Well..” Wanda mocks grinning at the happy baby in her arms, giving that cute little nose a boop, “You were busy with your family so I took matters into my own hands. Besides we both know you don’t want me here.”

“Wanda, of course I want you here. I care about you, always have.” Frowning as you recall the memory in your head, there was nothing Wanda could do that would make you stop caring for her, even holding a town hostage didn’t stop you.

“If you cared, why didn’t you call me after I left.” Wanda glances at you, bouncing Nadia in her arms as she kept a smile on her face - she didn’t want the baby to suspect something was wrong.

“I thought you didn’t want me to call, I mean you did leave in the middle of the night. What was I supposed to think?” Throwing your arms in air, you shut your eyes and count to ten trying to calm yourself.

The older redhead huffs at you, “That maybe I needed time to think alone? I don’t know? Something. You promised nothing would change after that night.”

“And I thought so too until I woke up with no sign from you, not even a note. Nothing.” You reminded her rolling your eyes - she was not about to blame you for not reaching out. “You could’ve called.” Wanda bites back making sure to keep a smile on her face for Nadia, who got distracted by Wanda’s necklaces.

“I did.” You say causing her to look up at you, throwing her a pointed look you continued, “But you disconnected your phone, remember? Unlike you, I have a child that needs my attention.” Your words slipped out before you can register what you said.

Eyes landing on Wanda who stood still eyes strained on the baby in her arms - who continued playing the her necklaces, “Fuck. Wanda i’m sorry, that just -“

“It’s fine. I gotta get going.” The ex Avenger cuts her off, pressing a few kisses on Nadia’s cheeks, the baby frowning as the necklaces slips out of her tiny fingers as Wanda holds her up,

“Bye bye, мое солнышко. тётя Wanda loves you” She continues to cover the soft cheeks with kisses as she walks over to the crib and places the baby inside, covering her with a small blanket and handing Nadia a stuffed yellow duck toy Wanda brought for the little one.

“Wanda, can we just talk please?” You begged her, reaching your hand out to her only to be rejected as the redhead moves away from your reach, giving one last smile at Nadia before walking around you “What’s there to talk about? Have a happy life with your happy family.”

"Wanda - fuck.” You cursed quietly - not wanting the baby to hear you - as you watched her disappear.

Checking on Nadia, you made sure the galaxy project was on for another hour and put a few toy blocks in the crib before heading out the room - hoping no one had heard you and Wanda.

Quietly shutting the door, you turn around nearly shitting yourself as you came face to face with your wife, “Fuck Natasha. You scared me." Your hand rested over your weird pounding heart.

The redhead fixes a glare on you, “Was that Wanda in there?"

"Where's Clint?" Eyes widening at her words, you fix yourself looking towards the direction of the living room, "In the kitchen with Kate, now answer my question." Natasha ordered taking a step towards you.

"Yes, she's not dead but doesn't want anyone to know. She wanted to see Nadia." You tell her quickly, eyes watching her move as your mouth went dry - Natasha is still your wife and obviously still attractive, it was hard not to melt giving into her eyes,

"What did she want?" The ex assassin asked, a small curl showed on her lips as she watched you lick your lips while your skin flush - she still got it.

“Nothing.”

“That didn’t sound like nothing.”

You narrow your eyes at the quick response from her, crossing your arms tightly, "If you already knew she was in here, why did you ask?" Shaking your head at her - you were tired of her nonsense today.

Shrugging, Natasha mocks your pose, "I wanted to know if you'd tell me the truth."

"Jesus, Nat. When the hell have I lied to you about since you've been back?" Looking away, you began shaking your head again as your clenched your jaw.

The ex Avenger scoffs at your words, snapping "You didn't tell me that Steve and Tony died! Or that Wanda took a whole town hostage!”

“That’s not me lying to you! That’s me not being able to talk to you yet because I’m still processing that you’re here, it’s a lot to take in and I’ve talked to you about this already.” Snapping back at her, white small eyes fixed on her - showing Natasha how angry you are.

“You have more to say!” Natasha uncrosses her arms, taking another step towards you, eyes pleading for you, “I know you do..just talk to me please."

Staring into her eyes, you felt yourself being drawn in them, almost vomiting out the words but you knew you had to keep it in - looking away you take a step back from her, back almost hitting the door, "I've been talking the whole time." Is all you said, both of you knowing that’s not what Natasha meant but you were as stubborn as she was and won’t give up.

Huffing, Natasha swiftly turns around and walks away from you heading into the kitchen ignoring Kate and Clint - who stood tensely in the kitchen hearing the couple argue - as she stomped outside, keeping her mouth shut from what she wanted to say. She couldn't understand why you had to be so defensive, she was your wife and you were treating her like you two were barely friends... like around the time she pushed herself towards Bruce, who had showed little interest in her.

Clint goes after, telling Kate to go watch tv and order a pizza, handing her a twenty dollar bill before slipping out. In the hallway, you heard the back door slam and slip back into Nadia'a room, shutting the door behind you and strolling over towards the crib. An instant smile on your face when a pair of big green eyes landed on you, "Hi, sweet love."

Sitting up in her bed, Nadia reaches out her arms towards you asking to be picked up, babbles escape her slobbery lips. You reach down and pick her up, showering her rosy cheeks with kisses, holding her close against you as you walked over to the window - eyes trained on the pair outside watching as Natasha obviously rants.

"These past few days have been crazy, haven't they?" You sighed resting your cheek on the little redheaded curls. Walking away from the window, you made your way over to the other side of the room where pictures had been scattered over the wall.

Eyes landing on a picture of a memory you couldn't get out of your head for days. It was a picture of six month old Nadia grinning - her one front tooth had began showing more - sitting on the ground, dressed up in a cute floral long sleeve jumpsuit. It was a beautiful day in Ohio, a beautiful yet painful day..

(Flashback to three months ago, October 16, 2024)

Groaning, you get in the back seat of the car, your back popping in a few places, being stiffed from the ride here. Pulling the blanket off the car seat, the babe inside blinks rapidly from the unexpected sunlight. “Oh my little love, I’m so sorry but we’re here.” You apologized watching the six month old baby stare at you with green sleeping eyes, you knew the long drive up would put Nadia to sleep, “We can’t keep Aunty Lena waiting longer otherwise she’s gonna be cranky.”

Smiling brightly as the beautiful baby as you unbuckled her seatbelt, carefully picking her up and watching as she did the 'baby scrunch', before placing her against you grabbing a thin blanket - it was the perfect weather; not too hot and not too cold. Getting out of the back seat, you shut the door and rubbed your hand against Nadia's back - watching as she rubs her eyes with her fist still waking up, her head rested on your shoulder, her other hand clenched around a strand of your hair.

After making sure Nadia was alright, you began your walk up the sorta trail, eyes catching sight of the bloomed cherry blossoms, “It’s so pretty, isn’t it, baby?” You press a kiss on the little one’s head that continued resting on your shoulder.

Sensing someone, your eyes moved towards the person, stopping your movements as you tighten your arms around the baby, the person - who already had eyes on you - gives you a smirk, "Hello."

"Who are you?" You asked immediately, eyes still trained on her as your sister in law comes up from behind the woman, quickly going to your side. The fancy dressed woman chuckles at your words, glancing at Yelena, "Is all your family uptight like you?"

"She was just leave. Goodbye." Yelena glares at the older woman, who raises her hands in defense before walking away not before saying, “Think about what we talked about. Miss. Belova.”

Eyes following the woman, it hits when you finally recognize the woman. Valentina Allegra.

“Wait.. isn't she the Director of the CIA? What did you guys talk about?" You look at the blonde next to you who was playing peek-a-boo with the baby.

"Can I please hold my baby niece?" Sighing, Yelena holds out her arms for you to put the baby in.

Narrowing your eyes at the girl, "You didn't answer my question." You say, only to be met with silence and a pointed look. Rolling your eyes, you hand her the baby,

"Lena, what does she want?"

Yelena continues to stay quiet, watching her niece look around the area, little eyes fixated on something causing the woman to glance that way as well, "Do you see mama?" She asked Nadia, who babbled away to something, "Did you know babies can see spirits?"

Yelena looks at you as she gives out the information, grinning when she realizes who she’s talking to, "Ah yes of course, I forgot the devils child was born seeing ghost."

Rolling your eyes again, you shake your head and smile before moving, "Sadly, that is true and let me tell you it was terrifying sometimes. I felt like that little boy, 'I see dead people'" You look at Yelena seeing a confused look on her face, "Have you not seen The Sixth Sense?”
