hi can I point the fact that one of natsu's love languages is physical touch but the moment lucy lays a finger on him he breaks. he will be hugging and laying on her all the time but if she gets too close he's done. and it has gotten worse bc in the begining of the anime/manga he was confused but now his brain just shuts down.

Yes I absolutely agree!! Natsu’s love language is physical touch. In terms of Lucy, the very famous forehead touch with Future Lucy (and present Lucy in the opening) demonstrates a sense of trust and confidence. Natsu knows that Future Lucy came back to save everyone and he trusts her and kind of makes a promise to save the future. I think he couldn’t really convey that with words since it’s not his strong suit, so he preferred physical touches and hence the forehead touches.

But I don’t think he “shuts down” when Lucy is one initiating the physical touches. I think he becomes relaxed and calms down. Her touch is soothing to him.

For example, one of the most recent examples in the 100 YQ is when Natsu becomes overpowered by the flames he ate from Ignia. Lucy helps him calm down and get some control over this situation. I think he’s responding to her physical touches and recognizes them as something familiar, something safe.

Zeref x Lucy 7/10

I am into dark romance stories so I guess that's why I like this pairing. If anything I like it because I do not see a Happy Ever After with these two together and I like that angst.

Headcanons:

Zeref was intrigued with Lucy when she was the only survivor during the Tartaros arc

When Fairy Tail disbanded and Natsu left Lucy was at her lowest and Zeref took advantage of that

Zeref took her prisoner to satisfy his curiosity about her

Turns out Zeref's curse did not affect Lucy at all and so He wanted to keep her, for he so longed for affection

Like I said this pairing is more of a super dark romance with possessive and codependency behavior

Flare x Lucy 5/10

Flare is just so cute around Lucy how can I not ship them.

Headcanons:

Flare is a very awkward and not very good with social cues so she clings to Lucy whenever she comes by Fairy Tail

Sleepovers at Lucy's house. No one is invited they want to be alone together

Flare is really good at drawing so she draw scenes from Lucy's novel

Lucy was hesitant to help Cobra but after some back and forth in her head she dragged Cobra to a near by cave

They ended up growing closer because Lucy seemed to be the only person to read his soul just as good as he can read others

I can't think of any headcanons right now but the anime speaks for itself. They just have that chemistry.

Actually yes thanks for giving me the excuse to rant. Hold on. I'm typing furiously rn.

-Okay first of all they gave us the most ridiculously confusing plot I've ever seen. The twist with Sonya being Animus was kinda cool but they never really. Explained why she had a bond with him? She mentioned he used to be kindhearted at some point but we never see that literally ever at any point in the movie?

-The storyline is so all over the place it's a HOT mess. Especially the scene right after Natsu escapes the weird bird cage thing he runs off to find the others and suddenly they're all there? For some reason? Where did they come from. Why didn't they have a little reuniting scene. I literally rewound the movie to make sure I didn't accidentally skip a scene but nope they just made the most awkward cut/story progression in history I guess!!!

-The fanservice was so. SO bad. Like yeah the majority of the time I can at least tolerate it but this time it just made me extremely uncomfortable. Why are Erza and Lucy's boobs SO fucking large. Why did they have to make Lucy dance in like two strips of cloth. I thought I woke up in an alternate universe where Fairy Tail was a hentai. I genuinely wanted to vomit lmao

-The animation style really threw me off like I can tell it was either animated by a different studio or they wanted to try a different art style for the movie? But it just felt wrong and the proportions and faces were weird and. Yeah idk.

-What was up with the Three Stars?? Iirc we never got to learn their names or what their motivations were they were literally just. There. And they were built up to be these super powerful wizards only to get their asses kicked by FT like two scenes later. I get that being a movie obviously the fights had to be shortened but they literally did the same thing in Phoenix Priestess but WAY better. They really were like yeah uh we need some enemies for Team Natsu to fight let's just go with these guys and not give them any personality or backstory or motivations. (Except for the doll dad he was okay I guess)

-WHY WAS LEVY THERE. LITERALLY. ACTUALLY. She literally did nothing she served NO purpose in the movie she was just there?? Did they just want to shove in as many cameos as possible??? I know generally Levy isn't much of a fighter which is fine, I was kinda expecting them to do a Gajevy scene where Gajeel rescues her from some soldiers or smth which would have been fine but they didn't even do that. She literally just stood there and had like 2 voice lines. GO GIRL GIVE US NOTHING

-SPEAKING OF CAMEOS this is more personal beef than anything but man WHYYY wasn't Loke in the movie,, my boy my beloved my stupid idiot lion I'm so mad he wasn't even onscreen for like, 5 seconds

-I'm sorry but Juvia was so unhinged this movie her possessive/stalker behavior over Gray was actually super fucking creepy lmao

Lucy is #2 on the list of 3 people that he allows to wear his scarf (#1 is Happy obviously, and #3 is Wendy)

They steal from each other like all the time. Not even because they need the thing but just to slightly annoy the other one. Natsu'll grab the quills from Lucy's desk and watch her flounder around to find them and likewise Lucy will hide one of his collectibles and watch him tear up his house to see where he left it.

Natsu- 'Hey Lucy!' Lucy- 'Natsu! Perfect timing, i'm finally gonna help you learn how to tie shoelaces so-' Natsu- 'Bye Lucy.'

It pisses Lucy off to no end that Natsu can write with both hands and yet both his handwritings are garbage.

Natsu will sometimes just randomly stock up food at Lucy's place. She can't complain about him eating her out of house and home if he's buying the food too.

The one time Lucy tried to get back at Natsu for always snatching her food/drink outta her hand she almost died. She thought it was a safe option, stealing his coffee out his hand on an early morning mission and she almost yeet the damn thing after gagging on the first sip. The bastard's a black coffee drinker.

They argue over little things a lot. It's nothing ever serious, back and forth banter and teasing over anything because they just like talking to each other whenever they get the chance. Silence is rare between the 2 of them.

The impact their friendship has had on each other is subtle but there. Lucy sits a little more relaxed, allows herself to be a bit messy when she eats and allows herself to speak more freely instead of keeping her thoughts pushed down. Natsu won't jump straight into clocking someone (most times at least), but instead will let the situation play out to avoid some conflict by reigning in his temper a bit. He also tries to be a little more, tactful with his words when trying to console someone instead of his usual straightforward and (unintentionally) careless way.

Natsu takes utter delight in the fact that Lucy can carry him and slumps himself on her when he wants to be annoying.

Neither of them react to Happy's teasing anymore, which pisses off the exceed greatly. Little does he know that its a tag team effort to get back at him.

I tried foundation today, my friend is a makeup artist and influencer and she gifted me foundation but i never wear it so for her i tried it and i think it looks good but ugh im not a full coverage girl. i don't even wear concealer but we have a special event tomorrow so I'll wear it so she can see it on me lol. also im drinking a mango juice + tequila drink right now and it's great but i should've used Cachaça but i forgot i had it. this tequila is very good and expensive though, someone got it as a gift for my dad. do you drink alcohol? if so what do you prefer?

I'm not much of a makeup girl. I hardly ever wear it and I definitely do not know what I'm doing when it comes to wearing it. Oooooh you have Cachaça??? What kind? I do drink alcohol, on occasion. Not ironically, tequila has ALWAYS been my favorite drink and I can handle it well. I don't mix it with anything, though. I'm more of a "shots" kinda gal than a fruity drink gal. I do love a good Moscow Mule if I'm going for drinks (but that's vodka). I do enjoy beer, as well. Honestly, if there's alcohol in it, I'll probably drink it. But fruity things that aren't lemon/lime are not for me.

My day was alright. Got some minor, but good news. Had lunch out with my favorite coworkers (instead of either taking lunch from home or buying and eating at work) and my day mostly consisted of recutting a video so we could have three shorter, 9x16 versions of it and subtitling them for social media and a long ass meeting about how we can optimize our workflow and now I've been tasked with organizing all the projects at work before ingest, considering all the requirements for each project (not a burden, I love organization and as the most organized person there, I will definitely be good at making life easier for everyone else by keeping things tidy).

Got to play with my boss' kid too and I'm her favorite "daddy's work auntie" too. It was fun, she didn't wanna let go of my hand when we all left.

i have a headcannon that natsu was intrigued by lucy the moment he saw her because she has golden hair and yk dragons and hoarding gold and stuff, so even if they never talked he'd be unconsciously remembering "the blonde girl from that day" (like the subway crushes yk?)

Just for a moment, let’s imagine Natsu and Lucy’s lives didn’t intertwine during their initial meeting (just imagining because this is impossible for me)

Natsu being a dragon attracted to gold is a very good depiction of he would recall her. I actually love this detail about Natsu and Lucy in general. I think that if they never talked in Hargeon, if he ever saw her randomly in missions (since Lucy was looking for a guild to join), he would be like “that’s the girl with golden hair!!”

my feelings on mest are less of a "like" and more of a fascination. i look at him like a human looks at a bad car crash. he is disgusting and gruesome and tragic and because of that i cannot look away due to a fascination that only exists because of a human's primal urge to Understand. i want to pick apart his brain like i would pick the pips off the world's largest blackberry. anyway.

i like lahar because uh..... i actually don't know. he's not important, he's not interesting, he's not relatable, he's not ANYTHING. he's barely a character. i really can't say why i like him. he is a cop that is determined to arrest people who are determined to become better. literally everything i stand against irl is embodied in this man and yet i love him. my fondness comes not from attraction but a sympathy. nobody thinks about him. nobody cared that he died. i relate to that omnipresent knowledge that i am forgettable. maybe if he was my 5th grade teacher i would be better off than i am today. i like his hair. idk.

i think the reason i'm so obsessed with them is more of hyperfixation than actual "like" (although it's painful to admit that because they've become so important to me and helped me cope with so much bullshit in my irl life)

as to why i don't like nalu, yes it feels forced. but not only that, natsu treats lucy horribly and everyone brushes over that fact. he is constantly invading her personal space and touching her in ways she does not consent to. he makes fun of her and assaults her and it is expected for her to like him regardless of that. i can't stand it. lucy is wonderful. she does not deserve to be treated like that.

Happy teases Lucy and Erza about their crush. Both of them deny it. But then they see him getting close to Lisanna and Mirajane. This triggers their yandere sides and they are taking their dragon back.

"You liiike him~! You liiike him~!"

What sounded like teasing those would hear from a young child, the Exceed Happy sings this constantly in the ears of Lucy Heartfilla and Erza Scarlet. The blonde sported a annoyed scowl on her face due to the flying feline's antics, meanwhile Erza has her teeth clenched; a vein throbbing in her forehead. The Celestial Keywielder grabs a hold of Happy, shouting "Shitty Cat!" and kicks him up the ceiling.

"SEE!" The blue furball with wings shouted as he's punted and then falls down. "That reaction of denial."

"We're friends," Lucy said with her cheeks turning crimson, turning her gaze from Happy.

"Guild Mates, Comrades," the Transformation Wizard states to the cat, "So, put this childish teasing to rest."

"Okay," Happy says with a smile, "so, how do ya feel about Natsu going on a mission with Mirajane and Lisanna?"

"WHAT?!" The blonde shrieked at the top of her lungs, turning her attention to the Strauss sisters and the salmon-haired wizard discussing about the mission. "HEY, YOU HUSSIES!" With that, Lucy rushed towards the confused trio.

Meanwhile, Erza stared at the chaotic exchange taking place, taking a deep breath. She proceeds to approach the scene between the trio and Lucy, grabbing a hold of her sword's handle.

Well, as you can tell by the title, it is my re-write of the versions of Fairy Tail to make the story more coherent and work in foreshadowing better.

Unfortunately...I am changing EVERYTHING about it, and after the Bora arc, I am not sure how things will be for the rest of it.

Here is a little snippet of the Bora arc:

“So, Luigi, was it?” A muscle ticked in her forehead. “My name is Lucy! How many times do I have to tell you that?” “Probably another five, if you ask me,” Happy said, munching on fish she had bought him. Pursing her lips together, she took in a deep breath and tried to calm herself. Her anger had gotten away from her once already that day, it would not be proper to allow it to do so again. It could have harmed all the work she had put into staying out of the sights of those trying to track her down. “Oi, what does that mean?” He glanced down at the cat—a blue cat, something she had never seen even with pampered noble girls who sought everything. “I can remember things just fine!” “No, you can’t.” “Yes, I can!” “Nuh uh, even teacher says so!” “T-that’s beside the point!” Happy looked at her and tilted his head over. “You do look awfully familiar, Lucy. Are you a wizard or something?” Natsu turned to face her again, his nostrils flaring as he audibly sniffed the air. His face scrunched up in disgust. “Oi, Luigi, when was the last time you washed?” Clenching her teeth together, she dug into her pockets and slammed down a few bills of jewel. “Thank you for the save earlier.” Count backwards from ten, she told herself and got out of the booth with her bag slung over her shoulder. “Good luck with finding work around here with that Salamander guy here.” “H-hey! Wait!” Without looking back, she pushed open the door and hurried along the cobblestone path. It was time to move on, start toward the next village, town, or city she came across and keep a low profile. Have Cancer change her hair color—even if it hurt not to see the same golden locks her mother had, and find honest work to earn some extra jewel. Looking into the clear sky, an ache pulled at her muscles and deep into her muscles. From the position of the sun, it had not even hit noon yet, which meant there were several hours until nightfall. Exhaustion from the day’s events pulled at her shoulders, pushed for her to just sit against a wall and close her eyes for a moment. Sleep and forget the real world. Footsteps came up behind her and she sighed. “Look, Natsu,” she turned, not willing to put up with being called Luigi or be in debt to anyone anymore, “thank you for your help, but—” A fist caught her right across the jaw and knocked her to the ground. Stars danced before her eyes and a groan slipped between her lips before she could even grasp what happened. Had she offended Natsu that badly by leaving? Hands pulled her up and she felt her hair tumble down again as someone yanked her hat away. “This is her,” an unfamiliar voice blurred in her head. Wait, she blinked, could voices blur? “Bora said to bring her unharmed.” “She’ll heal before we get to Bosco, that’s if Bora decides to sell her.” Laughter swirled around her and a cloth pressed against face. A cold smell filled her lungs before she realized the sleeping potion that soaked the cloth. Limbs refused to move, too heavy to fight gravity or to listen to any commands. For the briefest moments, before everything went blank and the world disappeared around her, the memory of a bright grin and warm laugh came to her. Maybe, just maybe, she had walked away from someone who could have been a friend.
