I know people are questioning why Mal is smiling...Mal is smiling because he is telling a story to the children on the roof top of the orphanage... it's literally the first orphanage story I wrote.

Mal loves storytelling. Children are captivating audiences. He can tell them the most ridiculous tales and they will cling to his every word. It's why I started the orphanage. It's his element. It's why Tyril starts off tall and then ends up being 5'0" by the most recent retelling. So no one believes Tyril is Tyril when he shows up.

And between Moxxie's "Maybe like a shitty dad... or a mob family. That's understandable"...

and Blitzo's "We're just killing a mother. We're ruining a family"...

I think it's a pretty safe bet at this point that Loona's rather specific "This kid probably sets dogs on fire. Maybe this girl gets off to bullying Australian kids online. And this guy? This guy definitely watches" spiel is almost certainly drawn from SOME kind of personal experience.

Sewed Up Heart

[ID: A Trigun comic done in grayscale with red accents. First, an anatomical heart gushes blood, forming a puddle which shifts into Vash's coat. Vash's gloved hands can be seen sewing up a tear at the hem.

Vash raises his hands, which are now bare and covered in blood. He looks sweaty and distressed, and he raises his coat to his face and cries into it. His clenched hands rip the sewed portion apart, and the red thread leads to a heart whose own stitches are tearing apart. The background gets darker and darker, and the red looks brighter and starker against it.

Then the background returns to white, and brown-skinned hands using embroidery scissors snip a red thread. Wolfwood holds up Vash's repaired coat, grinning proudly, and does a happy thumbs-up in Vash's direction. Vash lifts his head, seeming distant.

Wolfwood holds out the coat. As Vash puts out his hand to take it, the cloth is replaced so Wolfwood is dropping a sewed-up heart in Vash's hand. Vash rubs the coat against his face with a teary smile. End ID] ID CREDITS

"SMILLING CRITTERS ORPHANAGE"

is an AU where the smiling critters take a more anthro form and work on an orphanage inspired by "The Promised Neverland" 1 arc.

KEEP IN MIND SOME THINGS MAY CHANGE AFTER CHAPTER 3 RELEASE!

I do not have a written plot but I have some info about the AU!

- Their symbols are acessories given by CatNap, but they aren't simple acessories! They sometimes can let out a smoke that makes them go hysterical and violent. They also can shine and change colors (Shine when they are having huge fellings, lose color when they feel empty, and shine a red light when they are going hysterical)

- The Orphanage is owned by DogDay Family, and currently owned by DogDay himself, but everyone knows that CatNap is the one in charge.

- DogDay family was very angst CatNap work on the orphanage, DogDay lied that CatNap was fired bc of it.

- There is other workers on the Orphanage, but the smilling critters one are the people who takes part of the dark part of the orphanage where experiments happen.

#nicholas d wolfwood #trigun #trigun maximum #tw blood #going to be talking vol 9 spoilers in here pls do not read if u have not read it!!#wolfwood my beloved. he's such a battle genius with such strong survival instincts and incentive to fight. it makes me so sad but also #it's just the way he's been able to live for as long as he has [explodes]#midvalley calling him a demon/devil (iforget which word) and livio being like “victory seems impossible” when faced against him aughhh AUGH #he's clearly not invincible - vol 8 proved that when he almost did get beat if not for vash swooping back in... but the way he carries #the battles really makes it feel like it. especially whenever he “revives” for the sake of protecting another person. i.e. him getting #back up to defeat livio - him battered and worn from the fight but then pushing his body to get up when chapel aimed at the orphanage #and then despite the blood gushing out of him he still regained cautiousness to defend razlo at the end.... ugh.... ugh.....#anyway... i love how nightow draws ww - these were fun to do. ive been meaning to do these redraws esp from vol 9/10 #and maybe ill go back to do redraws from his previous fights. all and all i just need to get down how he uses the punisher properly #ruporas art

every time i think about how qpac and qmike grew up in an orphanage together with no one to rely on but each other i want 2 break down sobbing. what do u MEAN they were alone what do u MEAN they were just children who had to take care of each other!!! do u ever think about how pac was two years older than mike and part of the reason he's so protective and self sacrificial when it comes to his family is probably because he grew up trying to take care of mike in their younger years and probably has some form of eldest daughter syndrome. do u ever think about how mike probably tried to make up for that by being the more abrasive one and standing up for pac when pac was just going to roll over and take whatever people did to him just to keep mike safe and no matter what they did it got them into trouble anyway. do u ever think about how for the longest time they only had each other. i'm going 2 eat plywood
