My mom sent me this very worried on my behalf. :)
Anecdotally, people in the asexual community report their identities are pathologized by medical professionals, who order unnecessary tests or fail to perform necessary screenings because patients report feeling little or no sexual desire. When people on the ace spectrum turn to their doctors for help understanding their identities, they can be met with stigma and stereotypes. Some are misdiagnosed with conditions like depression and their asexuality is seen as a symptom that needs to be fixed. Flibanserin, a drug prescribed to increase sex drive, has been described by bioethicists as the "asexual equivalent of conversion therapy."

It wasn’t until 2013 that through advocacy from the Asexuality Visibility Education Network (AVEN), the APA added a clause that stated people with a lifelong absence of sexual desire who identified as asexual should not be classified as having a disorder.

I don't know if this has been asked and answered but with your love of Top Gun and airplanes, would you ever consider getting your pilot's license?
it is my retirement plan 🤞🏽 god willing i make enough money to learn how to fly someday
im currently a broke student with no access to any accessible airstrip within like 20 miles (i live in nyc & don’t have a car) and also every time i mention getting my pilot’s license to my mom she has a conniption about safety “what happens if my baby falls out of the sky” etc. so i have to wait for her to die first
but yes I would love love love to have that opportunity at some point. If only to make my writing about flight more accurate (obviously if you know anything about flying my fics are the most inaccurate things in the whole world & i apologize for that). Im a big proponent of “doing stuff just to know how to write about it” which is the only reason, for instance, I have ever smoked a cigarette (not that my writing about that is particularly accurate either but)

Some of us are 20 (stupid) and in the pits.

being the same age as most long term lolitas were when they started getting into it but its different now bc there is just so much less of a community it feels like... like for me i feel more like i am finding a lot of individuals but no local communities bc its just rlly died down i think... like i found a 2013 pph article about a lolita meetup downtown. i dont think that wld happen now even if i COULD find a local community

#seriously. scenes moments occurences to make you go insane#he seriously thinks he’s going to die alone and HIS SISTER. APPEARS TO HIM. ANGELIC#i like that it’s implied he’s thinking of her (mother father…) and MICHAEL APPEARS EVEN IF HE DOESNT REALIZE IT YET#and michael#my love my babygirl my star in the sky#i loooved this scene in the show it was one of the only visually compelling parts of s2#overall i don’t think discovery is very pretty to look at as far as the set design and lighting go#but all of the red angel scenes have such a reverence and mystical quality absolutely washed out in red that it immediately transports you#into the perspective of the witness#when michael first sees her and then when saru sees her ITS SO GOOD#and of course when spock sees her as a kid and when he mind melds with her here#sorry but i love religious experiences#AND TO HAVE IT SO INTRINSICALLY#TIED TO FAMILY#SOMETHING THAT IS SO COMPLICATED FOR BOTH MICHAEL AND SPOCK#BUT THEY ARE UNITED HERE EVEN IF SPOCK DOESNT KNOW IT YET HIS SISTER IS LOOKING OUT FOR HIM#and before michael knew she (&her mom but mostly she) was the angel HE WAS LOOKING FOR HER#oooough its all about already having and not knowing#sorry it makes me feel insane#captain’s log#dsc#trek books#ough they were never alone </3

As the camera clicked on, you sensed the beginning of another recording session. Satoru, next to you, shifted in his seat about before the start of the video.
"Hey there, it's l/n y/n," you chimed in with a grin, "and i'm Gojo Satoru," the white-haired male beside you smoothly finished, "and this is our Wired auto-complete interview!" both of you beamed as the staff handed over boards containing the internet's most searched questions.
Satoru held your board while you held his, diving into the depths of what the online people wanted to know about you.
Q. "Who's y/n l/n's 'gorgeous' about?"
With a smirk, you retorted, "sorry to burst your bubble, person-who-searched-that but 'gorgeous' is about your mom," you answered, eliciting laughter from Satoru and the crew.
"Lame! Just tell them the truth" Satoru teased, well aware of the implications behind his words.
"That's the only truth," you replied, feigning innocence before swiftly moving on.
Q. "Is y/n l/n's song 'call it what you want' about Gojo Satoru?"
Your cheeks flushed with embarrassment as you stuttered, "That's... quite the assumption," failing miserably at masking your nerves.
The crew chuckled, mentioning how your fandom had already orchestrated a fictional relationship between you two.
"We know, next they'll claim we're expecting a baby or something!" Satoru quipped, earning a horrified look from you, "Alright, my turn now."
Q. "Who's Gojo Satoru's favorite actor?"
"I'd say my good ol' friend, Geto Suguru! He's a top-notch," Satoru replied, reminiscing about the movies and series they did together.
"True, i'm a big fan of his work" you confessed, prompting a playful pout from Satoru.
"Maybe he's not that great anymore," he mumbled in mock jealousy.
"You're good too!" you reassured him amidst laughter.
Q. "Is Gojo Satoru married to y/n l/n?"
"Spiritually i am" Satoru quipped, earning a playful jab from you.
"Don't encourage them, Satoru!" you scolded him.
"Sorry, couldn't resist," he replied unrepentantly.
Q. "Is Gojo Satoru in a relationship?"
"I am. . .not! i'm a lone wolf" Satoru declared with a hint of melancholy, though everyone in the room knew the truth but as you looked at him, his convincing lie almost had you fooled, if it weren't for the fact that you, his actual girlfriend, stood right beside him.
"Alright, alpha boy, next question!" you exclaimed before the tables turned.
Q. "What's the name of y/n l/n's next album?"
"I've just released 'reputation' can't I catch a break?" you exclaimed, playfully collapsing out of your chair.
"How dramatic," Satoru chuckled before suggesting, "You should write a song about me though."
