whenever someone writes female!aemond and female!lucerys, i cannot help but picture them like this:
like… victoria pedretti portraying nellie will always be a favourite of mine, specially taking into account how her mannerisms were so similar to luke’s. but victoria portraying love in the series you? the most emotional scenes of her… the red eyes brimming with tears and the barely restrained rage? also, those moments when she was the sweetest…? her soft smile and how her whole face lighted up when she was laughing? she feels so lucerys to me… and do i need to explain myself about anya? the regal posture, the high cheekbones and straight nose and perfect targaryen royal vibes… i just 🤍 just change the eye color of both and you have them!

I'm gonna try something different. I'll tell you about my Batman fancast, and then I'll ask for suggestions on who else to add. Let's see how this works:
Picture this: it's 1982. Around 15 years after the Adam West Batman series began. ABC, looking to cash in on superheroes yet again, decides to greenlight a New Batman TV series. This show lasts longer, and is a mix of the old 60s show and the darker 80s comics. It's like an adventure comedy type thing. The show has two Robins: Dick Grayson and Jason Todd. But Jason Todd never dies in this shows timeline. Because I think that makes it more interesting. Any help with this fancast would be much appreciated:
My Cast So Far:
Alfred: Jon Pertwee
Commissioner Gordon: John Astin
Harvey Bullock: John Candy
Leslie Thompkins: Betty White
The Joker: Robin Williams
The Penguin: Danny Devito
The Scarecrow: Christopher Lloyd
Poison Ivy: Kathleen Turner
A few more I've gotten to, but let's more on.
Roles I need help with:
Batman
Robin I/Nightwing
Robin II (Jason Todd)
Batgirl (Barbara Gordon)
The Riddler
Catwoman (Selina Kyle)
Two-Face (Harvey Dent)
And More. All help with this would be appreciated. Because Frankly, I'm running out of ideas on my own. Anyways, here's the link to my thing:,
Edit: I've made a few more possible choices, so here's an update:
Batgirl: Maybe Molly Ringwald (she does look the part kind of, to me at least. Not quite as old as I was hoping since she's in her teens and I was thinking someone 21 or so, but it's all I've got).
Catwoman: Mary Steenburgen (Again, it's all I've got for now. So we'll have to go with it).

my cast is so boring these days
No one is bold or creative and every super hero fan cast ends with the same actors as the top choice
Every fantastic four fan cast ends with John krasinski and Emily blunt as the top choices
Every batman and superman has Jensen Ackles and David corenswet winning
There are like 3 X-Men stories trending and all of them have Vanessa Kirby and Jodie Turner Smith as the top choice for Emma frost and Storm
Lame

Expanding a thought from a conversation this morning:
In general, I think "Is X out-of-character?" is not a terribly useful question for a writer. It shuts down possibility, and interesting directions you could take a character.
A better question, I believe, is "What would it take for Character to do X?" What extremity would she find herself in, where X starts to look like a good idea? What loyalties or fears leave him with X as his only option? THAT'S where a potentially interesting story lies.
In practice, I find that you can often justify much more from a character than you initially dreamed you could: some of my best stories come from "What might drive Character to do [thing he would never do]?" As long as you make it clear to the reader what the hell pushed your character to this point, you've got the seed of a compelling story on your hands.

My brother-in-law has a Thing where he gives me increasingly rare copies of The Bee Movie and it’s long since gone from “Goofy running gag” to “I don’t know how much money he’s willing to commit to this bit and it Scares Me.”
Where the fuck can we go from here
