Time for our monthly Mystery Skulls Animated update! The Vivi and Arthur plushie campaign has now concluded! The final totals are:

MSA Holiday Spirits

A Gift Exchange for the Mystery Skulls Animated fandom!

Welcome to the 7th Annual Holiday Spirits! Gift givers will be semi-randomly assigned to others, and gifts will be exchanged on Christmas day. Gifts can be big or small! The most important thing is to have fun!

How to join:

Submit a completed google form from the link below, before the deadline! The participant form is below the rules on this post!

Submissions will close after October 31st.

Assignments will be given throughout the 1st to the 8th of November. If you haven’t received yours by the 12th, please send us a note! If this changes at all I will make a post!

Rules and link to the form below the cut!

Rules:

Gifts are due the 25th of December. Do not post them before then. If you wont be home that day, you can schedule it ahead of time so that it will post on Christmas day!

On the 25th post your gift and don’t forget to @tag your giftee! Also put it in the event tag, #MSAholidayspirits2023 so that I can see and reblog the wonderful gifts you all make! Feel free to also tag this blog.

This is a family friendly event, so no gore or NSFW is permitted. Do not use the event tag for art depicting that.

Please don’t reveal yourself to your giftee until the 25th. We want this to be a surprise! If you need any information, pass it to this blog and they can reach out to get your answer!

If you have to back out of the event, let us know ASAP so we can find a back-up! We don’t want anyone to be left out of the exchange. Also if your gift will be late, please let us know before the due date, so we can let your giftee know!

While I will be as understanding as possible, if you drop out and do not message this blog and I cannot get in contact after the deadline even after several tries, your name will be marked down, and I will be wary of you joining holiday spirits again. Life happens, but if you cannot participate, it is only fair to let others know and communicate. Dropping out wordlessly or not responding to my checking in not only affects you, but the person you were meant to make a gift for, and me, the person running this blog who would then have to scramble to get a new gift made!

🎍Fanon

Mystery and the Seikaiju

Sometime before giving Shiromori life Mystery devoured a fruit from a tree known to little as the Seikaiju (world tree). Before then Mystery was merely a gitsune but eating the solo fruit not only transformed him into a kitsune but gave him various abilities only weilded by a being simply coined as ‘Kami’. In every MSA universe there is a Seikaiju and one who ate it’s fruit to see the ‘Eternal Web of Fate’ and gain a link to the entity called ‘The Web Keeper.’.

Enigma ; The Keeper of the Web

“To many it is a myth but to yokai and any paranorma without it we and everyone and everything would cease to exist. The very knowledge of it can tend to drive most to madness. ‘Enigma’ is only just a name for a being that is beyond comprehension that any mere god or Kami. It doesn’t care for worship ; it’s aim is the maintenance Web of Fate (MSA Multiverse) come the End.”

- Mystery

Enigma or Web Keeper is a primordial entity that’s said to have seen all possible futures, pasts and presents all at once since it’s an extension of an entity simply called [[redacted]]. Not much is known about this multiversal. The picture above is a mural discovered in the ruins of [[location redacted]].

Arthur’s Ambivalence

While his aversion to the paranormal is due to his latent clairvoyance it’s tied back to the disappearance of his cousin who set up to move out of his biological dad’s home and to Lance’s shop instead. His name was Murlyn Kingsmen ; Lance’s son and a close mutual friend to Duet. He was researching paranormal activity at an abandoned mining site farther in the desert in what the locals called ‘the giants graveyard’ because of the shape of the buttes. Many call this particular location “The Living Tombstone” because of the reported activity from there. One day he just vanished without a trace.

this will come as a surprise to no one but lewis. i was one of those girls growing up that HATED pink (because i didn't want to be like Other Girls) and no joke lewis made me like pink again. he is also just Very fun to draw cuz he's made of so many different shapes, plus his hair is silly

finding a favorite dynamic for me is really hard because i absolutely cannot choose just one- i've been lewthur posting for literally years so that's kind of a given, but i also really enjoy arthur and vivi's dynamic both pre/post cave!! they're definitely best buds who, with their combined brain power, do the wildest shit known to man.

been thinking 'bout mystery skulls animated recently!!! so, i decided to try my hand at drawing a mr. lewis pepper for the first time!
