The Glory -> You visit them in prison
Requested: No
Kdrama: The Glory
Genre: Angst. Fluff?
Warnings: Mentions of murder. Mentions of bullying. Mentions of death. No remorse. Swearing.
A/N: I absolutely do not condone anything that was presented in the kdrama. No one should ever bully others. This is all purely fiction.

Dongeun had never been one to truly care about fashion, mainly because she only purchased items of clothing that could conceal the horrid burn scars that were inflicted on her during high school. However, it did not mean that she approved of the prison uniform that was currently fitted to her body. While the colour itself did not bother her, nor that it was a prison uniform, but it was rather the short sleeves of the uniform that bothered her.
Since the day Dongeun had received the burn marks from Yeonjin and the others, she has always covered them with long clothing. Ranging from long-sleeve dressed to oversized jackets and sweaters, Dongeun always made sure to hide her scars from the public eye, hating the looks of horror that were immediately scorned her way, constantly bringing a wave of humiliation to her.
She never should have been forced into the position where she feels that she has to constantly hide herself. She shouldn’t be fearful over the fact that someone could possibly catch a glimpse of her bare forearms in case they notice the first burn scar which had marked her collection. She should not living her life for the sole purpose of revenge, and yet it was the only thing which had kept her alive so far.
Dongeun stared blankly at you from the other side of the plastic screen in the visitation ward, your own face filled with obvious sadness with tears streaming down your face while you stared at her from your side of the screen. While her heart pinched at the sight of your tears, she did not allow herself to show any concern. Between the two of you, she had to be the strongest. You were already the more emotionally one between the two of you, so that meant that she had to be the controlled one.
“Dongeun...” You uttered, your bottom lip trembling after her name left your mouth, the anguish obvious to even the prisoner guard who was monitoring Dongeun’s visit with you. “I’m so sorry.”
“I have already said that it is not your fault Y/N. This was a possible risk.”
Dongeun had expected for Yeonjin to try use her means of wealth and resources in an attempt to stop her journey of revenge; however, she didn’t quite anticipate that she would manage to spin a made up story which incriminated Dongeun for supposedly blackmailing students at her workplace for some benefits. While there was hardly any evidence to the story, there was apparently some constructed proof, no doubt courtesy to Mr Chu who had some sort of vindictive grudge towards Dongeun for some whatever reason.
And so Dongeun was serving time for a crime that she did not commit, although she did not plan to stay for long.
“Still, so much has happened to you and yet-”
“One thing to know about revenge Y/N is that you should expect the unexpected. I had expected this, but did not anticipate in it actually happening.”
“Why are you so calm?!” You suddenly screeched, slamming your hand hard on the table that it echoed in the room.
Dongeun felt the gaze of the prisoner guard behind her, no doubt attempting to diagnose the cause of your temper flare, but Dongeun did not react. She instead continued to gaze at you with a blank gaze.
“I see no point in losing my temper over something that is inevitable. Becoming lost in a rage is not going to change the fact that I am in here.”
“But you didn’t do it!” You exclaimed, staring at her desperately as tears continued to escape. “You don’t deserve to be in here! Out of all people, it is Yeonjin and her whole group of asshole friends!”
You were not someone who habitually cursed, although it became a different story when you lost your temper. Even though it was hardly appropriate, a small smile found itself gracing Dongeun’s lips, her eyes lighting up slightly as she gazed at your frazzled appearance. You immediately furrowed your eyebrows when you noticed the small.
“Why are you smiling?”
“...I don’t know.”
It was true.
She didn’t know why she was smiling, but she had found that since meeting you, smiles have become a more frequent in her life. After her high school experiences with Yeonjin and the others, Dongeun could hardly feel any sort of happiness during her years into adulthood. Dongeun had to work to survive and survival hardly had any room for emotions such as happiness. Possibly the only form of happiness she felt was when she marked the start of her revenge plot against Yeonjin. Her laborious thoughts of revenge slowly started to become true, and the pieces slipping into place brought a sense of twisted glee to Dongeun, who has been a victim for Yeonjin far beyond their high school days.
And yet somehow and somewhat, she has found herself feeling a different sort of glee when she was with you. Although perhaps the correct word to use was contentment. She became somewhat content in your presence. Something she was not used to.
“There has to be something that we can do.” You said, ducking your head as you sniffled as your tears began to blur your eyesight, making you miss the tilt of Dongeun’s head as she looked at you. Dongeun reached out and tapped the transparent screen, the sound prompting you to lift your head again. She leaned in so that she could talk to you in a lower tone.
“There is nothing that we can do but wait. You must remain home and continue with your everyday life. You do not need to worry about me.”
You looked at her in slight confusion for a few moments before your expression suddenly hardened, your eyes becoming sharp despite the moisture in them.
“If you think that I am going to just leave you like this-”
“You are not because I will not be here for much longer.” Dongeun interrupted, a small gleeful smile gracing her lips again as her eyes lit up with small determination. “I already have a plan for my release, but it will take some time so I need you to continue living normally without me. You will hear more about it from me soon.”
“Dongeun...what are you-”
“I can’t tell you now but I promise that I will soon. Trust me Y/N...I have a plan for something like this.”
While Dongeun did not anticipate for herself to be put into this situation, it did not mean that she did not plan for the possibility. She had already started the process of her eventual release, courtesy of a certain doctor who was determined to be her executioner. Although while he did play an important part, he could not compare to you, her warden.
Her warden who did whatever they could to protect her, as expected of a warden. You guarded and protected, be it Dongeun or her proof for revenge. She trusted you and she knew that you trusted her to keep to her word and eventually tell you her plan. Although not for the moment. It was not the right time. She will tell you when the time is right, when there is no possibility of derailment.
Joo Yeo-jeong
Tumblr media
Despite the dark grey uniform that was clothing his body and the plastic screen that was separating him from you, Yeojeong couldn’t help but smile thoughtfully while you looked at him from the opposite seat, eyebrows furrowed at his expression.
“Why are you smiling?” You asked, your hand raised half in the air as you leaned back in your chair, fingers lazily moving against one another. His eyes brightened at your question.
“I’m happy.” He said, as if it was the most obvious answer in the world.
Although to Yeojeong, it was the most obvious answer in the world. He had finally done it. He had finally ended the life of his own tormentor. It took over two years but he eventually managed to see the light fade away from that animal that had ruined his entire life. He had so meticulous with his revenge. He at first started with the weekly medication that prisoners were entitled to have until eventually progressing to the food that he would eat. He maintained his professional facade the entire time, no one suspecting his true intentions.
He internally found delight in the wariness of the animal, cautiously stepping towards the counter to receive his medication, all while Yeojeong maintained his friendly demeanor. While he had smiled at tormentor, appearing friendly from the public eye, only he could recognize the iciness of the smile. Yeonjeong had promised him that he had to be careful when the two of them met again because then Yeojeong was going to mark the start of his revenge. He had promised that he was going to kill him and that nobody was going to suspect foul play because Yeojeong was a doctor.
It had worked for the whole two years. Yeojeong had made sure that the process was slow. He wanted to draw it out as much as he could because the animal did not deserve a quick death. He made sure that his father had choked on his blood, suffocating him and making his death panicked and painful with himself being the last thing that his father would ever see until he finally succumbed to his injuries. That was something that Yeojeong could never forgive. He could never forgive the monster who had created his father’s death, nor could he forgive that the betrayal he demonstrated by killing the doctor who had saved his life.
Yeojeong drew out his death deliciously, and when he finally stared down at the dying monster, he couldn’t help but smile. He had leaned down so that they were practically face-to-face, a calm smile on his face as he took in his moment of victory.
“Do you need me to give you something for the pain?”
The terror in his eyes were wonderful and nothing brought Yeojeong more delight than seeing the moment of death. He had finally completed his revenge. He avenged his father and his family. He managed to make the monster pay for all the pain he had caused Yeojeong and his family. He could finally move on with his life, with you and with his mother.
...Only he was eventually suspected of being the cause of the death.
It took some digging to eventually track down the proof that would give them the right to imprison Yeojeong. He did not even put up a fight when they had arrived with handcuffs. He did not feel any fear or sadness; however, he did feel a sense of guilt when he turned around to see you standing in the entryway of his home, having rushed from the table where the two of you were having dinner. He did make sure to utter an ‘I love you’ to you before he was hauled away, the officer reading out his rights as he was escorted out his home and towards the police vehicle which was waiting for him.
“...You are happy that you are in prison?” You asked, snapping him out of his thoughts as he began to recall his memory of his object of revenge finally becoming lost in the next realm, most likely to a fiery inferno. He smiled serenely at you.
“Not exactly.”
“...Then why are you happy?”
“I feel achieved.”
“I achieved?”
“Yes. I finally did it Y/N, I finally killed that monster. He’s dead and its all because of me. He feared for it. He feared for his death. He feared me. It was glorious.”
It was truly glorious. It was possibly the best entertainment that Yeojeong could ever have in his life. While it was expected for him to find a new means to entertain himself, nothing could ever compare to the two year game he had to play. It was wonderful.
Crack!
Yejeong suddenly jumped at the sound of your fist hitting the table, your facial features twisted harshly as you glared from your end of the screen, your jaw clenching tightly.
“Right. It was so glorious that you didn’t think of the possibility of getting caught, or even think about how this would affect me.” He furrowed his eyebrows at you, slightly confused. You scoffed at his expression. “Were you so obsessed with your idea of revenge that it didn’t even occur to you to even mention the fact that you were going on a whole revenge trip to kill a man?!”
Yeojeong felt his body tense defensively, his facial features hardening as he stared at you.
“It wasn’t just any man, he was the man that-”
“Yes I know that now Yeojeong, after I had to hear it from a detective! Don’t you think I had to right to know about your whole plan? Don’t you think that I had the right to know that you were trying to kill someone?!”
“...”
Yeojenong couldn’t help but stare at you with furrowed eyebrows, the suddenly posed question making him ponder to himself. Why hadn’t he told you about it? The two of you had steadily progressed in your relationship. You found him after Dongeun had suddenly vanished, and he found himself finding comfort and contentment in your presence, slowly but surely falling in love with you.
...But it did not occur to him to inform you of his plans.
He was unable to say anything because he didn’t know what he could say to placate you. It simply never did cross his mind, and you had been by his side for the past two years. Why didn’t he tell you?
His lack of an answer angered you and he couldn’t help but whip his head up at you as you stood up from your seat, shaking your head before sparing him with a final glance.
“Forget it Yeojeong.”
And then you left. Your shoes leaving an echoing sound in the room as you exited the through the door and slammed it shut, leaving Yeojeong behind in stunned silence.
Ha Do-yeong
Tumblr media
Doyeong could not stand the look that you were giving him from your side of the screen, your eyes glossed over with pity and fear for him; although he did not blame you since neither of you knew when he would eventually be let out. He let out a sigh and threaded his fingers through his hair, it becoming longer than usual due to the past time in the prison. While he could have it done, he has chosen not to. He decided that it was going to be one of the first things he was going to do once he released.
“How is Yesol?” He asked, looking at you with tense eyes as he waited for an answer. You sighed and leaned back in your seat.
“She is sad but she is doing okay, much better than I had expected. But she missed you. She misses her daddy. She doesn’t understand why you are in here...and I don’t know what to tell her.”
“Did you tell her what we had agreed on?” He asked, anxiety shooting through him at the thought of his daughter finding out the truth. You nodded.
“Yes. As far as she knows, you were put in here by mistake. That you were put in here by some bad people. But Doyeong, she is a lot smarter than you think. She has started asking me questions that I don’t know how to answer. She is going to eventually figure out the truth.”
“Yes but lets prolong it for just a bit longer. She already has a mother who is a bully and a murderer...me being a crook is not something that she needs to deal with. I know better than anyone that at times ignorance is simply bliss.”
“But Doyeong...it wasn’t even your fault.”
“But it is in the eyes of the law.”
Doyeong has always prided himself on his natural instincts towards certain topics because they had never failed him. From his business school years to the strong, effective progression of his company, Doyeong had always managed to trust his instincts to guide him along the correct path.
And yet that had incorrectly guided him into the arms of a black widow, better known as Yeonjin, childhood bully and adult terror. Doyeong could not believe that he was so blind to her true nature, even though he had fallen for her during their whole courtship. She was beautiful, it was obvious, and perhaps that was why he was so attracted to her in the first place. He liked them pretty. She had a charm about her which could not be easily replicated, and like a moth to a flame, he was drawn in, not realizing that he was going to be burnt nearly a decade later.
His instincts had started working again when Moon Dongeun had entered Yeonjin’s life again, which inevitably caused the woman to enter his own. He could not believe the cruel capabilities of his wife, inflicting such cruel harm onto somebody simply because she could. While Doyeong would hardly say he was an innocent student during his high school years, he would have never done anything that Yeonjin and her friends had done to Moon Dongeun.
What they had done to the woman...it was inhuman.
Doyeong was disgusted that he had married a monster. He wouldn’t even be able to call her a human because no human would be cruel enough to inflict such pain onto another. Yeonjin could not be classified as a human. She was an animal. A monster. Anything but a human. The only way Yeonjin preserved any form of her humanity was through the birth and upbringing of Yesol.
Despite her not being his biological daughter, she was the purest thing in the world. While she had her mother’s beauty, she did not possess her twisted personality. She was innocent, sweet, and naturally curious. She was such a sweet girl who loved dolls and soccer. She enjoys making food for him and you, the two of you often bonding in the kitchen and sharing smiles and laughter which couldn’t stop a smile crawling along his own face.
The last bit of innocence that Yeonjin had before it died in school was reincarnated in Yesol, and Doyeong was going to do his best to protect it. He was not going to allow her to become like either of her biological parents. It was a vow that he had made to himself.
“I’m sure your lawyers will find something. You were not the reason for the whole scheme. You didn’t even know that it was a scheme in the first place.”
“But I am the one who had signed the papers Y/N. In the eyes of everyone and the law, I knew exactly what was happening. My signature on the documents says it all.”
His instincts had failed him for the first time with his marriage to Yeonjin, and they failed him for the second time for his entrapment in a money laundering scheme that had been discovered.”
He should have known better than to sign. He should have had his people investigate the company even more, but the business people had done their homework carefully and meticulously. Doyeong would almost be impressed if he was not the one who was had become the drop man, taking all the blame and burden once the scheme was discovered. Even though his hands were clean, they were not in the eyes of the law, hence why he was locked up in prison in a visiting ward with you.
“Don’t lose hope Doyeong. The truth will come out. I’m sure of it.” You said hopefully, a resolute look in your eyes.
Doyeong gazed at you for a few moments, almost thoughtful because he could not understand why you were so hopeful in a time which seemed hopeless to him. His lawyers would have found something by now to prove his innocence, but they have found nothing. As far as he knew, he was stuck here and there was a possibility that he was never going to get out.
“...Let us hope so.” Doyeong said, forcing a small smile on his face as he gazed at you, leaning forward to rest his elbows on the table. “Please keep looking after Yesol for me.”
You flashed a small smile at him, shaking your head before leaning forward in return to be closer to him as best that you could.
“You don’t even need to ask me that Doyeong. Of course I will.”
Doyeong smiled in return, a more genuine one this time as he nodded gratefully to you, thankful to have someone like you in his life to man the ship outside the prison until he hopefully returns.
Park Yeon-jin
Tumblr media
The silence was eating away at Yeonjin, burrowing her out from the inside while she trembled in her seat, her fingers incessantly picking at her cuticles as she waited for you to speak. You have already been here for twenty minutes and had yet to answer a single question that Yeonjin had asked. She had assumed that it was because it was still a shock to you to see her in such a horrible dressing clothes. Yeonjin was still in a state of disbelief herself that she was wearing the prison uniform, the garment doing nothing for her but torment her for all the things that have happened to her ever since the arrival of that bitch Moon Dongeun.
She should have just killed her years ago...just as she did with Sohee.
But there was hardly any time for her to think about those two pathetic beings. You were here in front of her, the only person who would visit her. Sara she knows is locked up somewhere for her stupid drug addiction, as well as stabbing that backstabber Hyejeong in the neck. Yeonjin sincerely hopes that she bled out or swallowed the whole pencil whole. And Jaejun hadn’t even bothered to show his face. But he was literally the last person she wanted to see her like this. It was humiliating enough for that damned Moon Dongeun to see her like this...that pathetic bitch deserved to die for everything that she has done to her.
Her perfect life was shattered the second that bitch had stepped foot back into that school hall.
Her nerves were already on the edge with being in this prison, the vilest of women residing in here that one could mistake them as the slugs on the garden wall that has been residing there for generations. They disgusted her and sharing her living quarters with them horrified her. There was no sense of elegance or luxury. She had no reason for being here. She did not deserve to be here. It was all because of that damned scarred bitch. She should be the one in this damn prison for ruining her life.
The only thing that could give her some sense of reprieve was you, but your silence was making her hell even more torturous. She hasn’t spoken to anyone since her arrival. They were not people who she could converse with, or even want to converse with. Tossing backwater in the dryers with Hyejeong would have been more enjoyable that interacting with those disgusting slug women. You were the only one in the prison who was worth her time and sanity, and yet you are not speaking to her.
She has sent you letters and yet you have not answered them. Yeonjin felt like she was going mad here. You were the only form of sanity that she had left in this hell. You were the only reminder of her previous utopia before she ended up in here. You were her past life. She wanted it back. She wanted you.
“Y/N...speak to me already.” She said, letting out a nervous laugh as she looked at you, expression tightened seriously as you stared at her. “Do you have news for me? Have my lawyers said anything? How is Yesol, is she-”
“You don’t have to worry about Yesol. Doyeong is taking care of her.” You suddenly interrupted, finally speaking your voice after the last twenty minutes. Yeonjin flinched at your hard voice, but she immediately fixed her attention on you.
“T-That’s good. Y/N I am telling you that this place is my living hell. You have to talk to my lawyers and get them to-”
“What lawyers Yeonjin? In case you had forgotten, the lawyers that were helping you out were hired by Doyeong. You don’t have a single cent to spend on a lawyer, not even a public one.” You snapped, your voice sharp as a knife as you glared at her from your side. Just the sound of your hard voice and glare immediately made Yeonjin tighten up defensively.
“What do you think you are saying to me? Y/N I swear-”
“What can you do Yeonjin? You are in there and I am out here. There is literally nothing that you can do to me. Nothing.”
Your sudden hiss took Yeonjin aback completely, her eyes widening at the harsh way that you were talking to her. You have never spoken to her in this manner before. You have always been more soft spoken , submissive to Yeonjin in a sense, but it was the way Yeonjin liked you because you always made her feel more powerful and worshiped. Your eyes were always filled with awe and adoration when you saw her...and yet the only thing she could see in them were ice.
“I don’t have time for this. So I’m just going to give it to you straight. I’m leaving.” You announced, checking your watch for good measure before glancing at Yeonjin again, showing no reaction to her stunned expression.
“...What? What do you mean?” Yeonjin questioned, her eyebrows furrowing as she sat frozen in her seat, a wave of anxiety slowly building up with her the longer she continued to stare at you. You sighed again.
“I got a job offering overseas. I’m going to take it.”
“You can’t.”  Yeonjin immediately snapped, shaking her head as she stared at you with hard eyes, the wave getting bigger within her. “You can’t go anywhere.”
“Newsflash Yeonjin, it is not up to you. And even if it was, there is literally nothing you can do to stop me from leaving.” You snapped, leaning down to grab your bag. The sight of you gathering your belonging immediately made a snap of panic through Yeonjin’s body, making her leap out of her chair and completely pressed against the screen, her action making you startle as she pressed her palms against the plastic and dug her nails against the surface.
“What the hell do you think you are saying? You can’t leave! What about me? Did you fucking think about me?!” She screeched against the screen, her entire body trembling as she stood before you in a deranged state, the sight making your eyes widen for a second before hardening the next. You stood up from your seat.
“All this time I have thought about you and it led me to accepting the job. What did you expect Yeonjin? Did you expect me to come here everyday to see you when it is a known fact that you are never going to get out?”
“I am going to get out! I am going to-”
“Wake the fuck up Yeonjin! You are never getting out! You fucking killed people! You literally bullied people so badly that they much preferred death than spending another second living in the same world as you! And whats worse is that you don’t even feel remotely sorry for what you have done! It’s disgusting, and I can’t believe that I fell for you in the first place!”
Yeonjin could see it. Your lack for love for her. The previous affection and adoration you had for her before was completely vanquished from your body. All she was staring at was an ice cold individual who looked disgusted at the very sight of Yeonjin. She hated it. She detested it. It fucking terrified her. And it terrified her even more when you turned around and started to walk away from her.
“Yah! Where are you going?! Where the fuck are you going?! You can’t leave me here! You bitch, you can’t fucking leave me!”
Even when Yeonjin heard the shout of the prison guard behind her, she did not stop punching the plastic screen separating you and her from one another. You didn’t even turn back to look at her as she cursed and screeched at you. The sound of the door slamming as you exited the room was almost as lethal as a bullet to her heart. A bullet would have been less painful than the fact that you had presented her.
You were leaving.
And she had just been left behind.
Jeon Jae-jun
Tumblr media
Prison did not suit him.
Jaejun has gone through literal hell being here, especially when it was discovered that he was a part of the higher society than the fucking animals that resided in these walls. The stunts that have pulled on him day and night, it was enough to make him to want to smash his fucking head against the concrete walls.
He was pissed over the fact he was in here in the first place. He paid a shit ton to his lawyer and men to make sure that all of his finances were clean, but its seemed like that asshole Myeong-oh purposefully left some documents laying around which allowed Jaejun to get arrested for tax evasion. He had been so fucking careful but the mess up by one asshole had brought him to a literal downfall.
If that asshole Myeong-oh wasn’t already dead, he would have fucking killed him.
You have tried your best to help him get through this, visiting him nearly five times a week to keep him some sort of company, although it hardly did shit because in the end you were able to leave this hellhole while he had to stay behind and deal with the down dogs that he was sharing his living quarters with. It also didn’t fucking help that you brought along his lawyer, attempting to keep him updated with his bail process but it kept coming to a damn dead end.
“If you want me to be realistic...you have about a 20% chance on being granted bail.” His lawyer said, his matter-of-fact tone making Jaejun tighten his fists in anger as he stared across from you and him from his side of the visitation table. He noticed you flash his lawyer a disheartened look before it brightened into a hopeful expression as you turned to look at Jaejun.
“But that is still better than nothing. I’m sure a miracle can happen and-”
“I don’t believe in fucking miracles Y/N. You fucking know that.” Jaejun snapped, shifting his gaze at you with a sharp edge. You immediately flinched at his tone and look, making him sigh and shaking his head to try get a hold of himself. ‘Forget it.”
“Jaejun, I-”
“Get out.” Jaejun suddenly ordered, snapping his head up at attention.
He noticed your eyes widened at his sudden order, shock and fear evident in them before they eventually settled away when you realized that he was not talking to you but to his lawyer. His lawyer was startled by Jaejun’s sudden harsh look on him, making him shift uncomfortably in his chair.
“Listen Jaejun, I know it is tough, but I-”
“Are you fucking deaf? I said get out!” Jaejun screeched, kicking his legs out for good measure as he shared at his lawyer, who immediately shot from his seat and scurried out of the room, leaving you and Jaejun alone. Once he disappeared from sight, Jaejun slumped into his seat, exhaustion suddenly washing over him.
“...Jaejun?” You meekly called out, causing him to lift his head in question as he took in your small frame. He sighed again before repositioning himself and staring at you with a solemn expression.
“How is Yesol?” He asked, anticipating and anxiety building up in his stomach as he looked at you for answers.
That was probably the worst part about him being in prison. He was missing out on his time with being with Yesol. The little girl was nearly the spitting image of Yeonjin when they were kids, but she no doubt had his adorable looks. He was a cute kid back in the day, and it was a no brainer for his kid to be adorable, which Yesol has evidently proven because she is the cutest thing that he has ever seen in his life. He was making a plan for her to finally become his, for the two of them to finally become a family. He wasn’t going to be an uncle to her anymore, he was going to be his father.
And Meyong-oh fucked up his plans perfectly with this fucking stunt.
You seemed almost hesitant to answer, glancing around nervously before you cleared your throat and slowly grabbed your bag and dug through its contents before pulling out your phone. He watched you unlock it and slide your finger across the screen multiple times before finally turning it around to show him a picture of Yesol in her soccer uniform, a smile on her face as she kicked a ball. A smile immediately crawled along Jaejun’s face as he looked at the photo, a light feeling filling his chest the longer he looked at it.
“She is adorable.” He uttered, genuine happiness evident in his face as he continued to look at the photo. “You got any more?”
“I...no.” You confessed, tugging your phone back and clutching it to your chest. “I...I got caught by the security guard and he tossed me off the grounds.”
“...Why the fuck did he do that? What right does he have?!” Jaejun suddenly yelled, picturing a large, beefy man forcefully pulling you away from the soccer field and Yesol.  You looked at him meekly.
“I...because I wasn’t a parent, and...it also doesn’t help that I...I...”
“...You what?” Jaejun said, narrowing his eyes at your sudden nervous stammer. You gulped at his glare and didn’t say anything for a few moments before finally speaking again.
“I...got a restraining order against me for Yesol.”
...
“WHAT?!”
This time Jaejun leapt up from his seat as he screamed, making the prisoner guards immediately rush at him to force him back but he shook them off, snapping that he was fine before taking a seat again. His breathing was suddenly very uneven due to the progressive boiling of his blood.
“Why the fuck is there a restraining order against you?!”
“I...people started noticing me take photos of Yesol...and...and they found it suspicious and told Doyeong. He is the one that issued it against me.”
“That fucking asshole!” Jaejun screeching, earning himself another scolding yell from the prisoner guards which made him turn around to glare at all of them before turning back to you. “Can you reverse it?”
“W-What?”
“I asked if you can fucking reverse it. Can you?”
“I...I don’t know.”
“Then you better fucking find out! I need you to keep an eye on Yesol for me while I’m in this fucking hellhole. You need to get it reversed!”
“...I just told you that I got a restraining order against me...and you are concerned about Yesol?”
The look you gave him was a mixture of shock and disbelief, something which did not stir right with Jaejun. He cursed and rubbed his face before looking back at you.
“Listen, I know its bad but I need you to keep watching Yesol for me. Talk to my lawyer and he can start the process with reversing it. Out of all of this, Yesol is the most important person here.”
“...Jaejun, I can’t just break a restraining order. I...I’ll get into real trouble if I do.”
“So what! It’s for Yesol!” Jaejun suddenly screamed, making you jumping in your seat. “She’s my fucking daughter. Why the fuck wouldn’t you break a stupid piece a paper for her?!”
“Because she is not mine!”
Jaejun froze when the words left your lips. You also froze the moment you realized what you had said, staring wide-eyed at Jaejun before scurrying out of your seat, bag and phone gripped tightly in your hands. You shook your head at him as you slowly began to back away.
“I’m sorry Jaejun...but I can’t do it.”
You flashed him a remorseful look before scurrying away, leaving him in stunned silence until his mind finally clicked with your words, causing him to lash out and deliver several sharp punches against the plastic screen until he was forcefully restrained by the prisoner guards, your name leaving his mouth as he shouted blue murder as he was dragged away from the visitation room.

Sara could not stop shivering. It was not because it was cold but because her body was yearning for the sustenance she has been relying on for nearly eighteen years. She couldn’t help but dig her fingers into her hair, tugging at the strands harshly, feeling her scalp burn from the intense amount of force she was using. It was not much but it was a small sense of relief, but it did not do the job like the real thing did.
The tremors wouldn’t stop and Sara felt like she was losing her grip on her sanity the longer she stayed cooped up in this hellhole with no form of entertainment, inspiration, or pleasure.
“...Sara?”
...There was perhaps only one form of pleasure that she found in this hellhole and that was when you decided to visit her.
Sara raised her head from its hiding place on the table surface, her arms creating a tent over her head to protect her from the daylight while her hair hung loose around her face, curtaining her from the offensive sunlight. Although even though her hair was in her eyes, it did not properly conceal her vision of you, your beautiful face staring at her with worried eyes as you sat from side of the screen. A crooked smile crawled along her face along with an empty cackle as she released her hair and sat up more straightly in her seat.
“You are so pretty.” She uttered, cackling afterwards before leaning her cheek against her palm as she gazed at you lovingly.
But you did not flush like you usually did when Sara commentated on your beauty, you instead look even more worried. You scanned her shivering body from what you could see from the barrier between the two of you before looking back at her, your hand gliding along the table surface towards the plastic screen.
“Sara...” You said softly, your eyes intensifying in their worry as your fingertips reached the plastic, tapping rhythmically against them as you continued to gaze at her. “Are you okay?”
“...Do I look okay?”
Instead of saying the words with a harsh bite, Sara instead lowered her arm and face to the table, resting her chin against her flat forearm with her eyes drifting towards your tapping arms.
tap. tap. tap. tap.
tap. tap. tap. tap.
She started tapping her own fingers in time with yours, matching their beat. The action made you sigh before you looked at her sadly.
“...No, you do not look okay.”
“...”
Sara didn’t say anything. She instead kept her focus on the tapping beat between your and her fingers.
tap. tap. tap. tap.
tap. tap. tap. tap.
“Is there not anything that the doctors can give you? A pill, a sedative, or something?” You asked, genuine concern in your voice.
...Laughter broke out of Sara’s mouth before she could say or do anything else. She simply couldn’t control it. She turned her head into the table and continued to laugh into it for a good few minutes before finally turning her head back to face you, your eyes wide in horror as Sara continued to cackle over your suggestion.
“Sorry baby...but who in the hell is going to give someone like me a drug for my nerves? They are the reason I am here in the first place.”
Sara had to admit that Moon Dongeun really did play her into her tricky little web despite their best efforts to not be caught by the damn black widow. When she had said that she had come for revenge, she was not joking and Sara was paying her apparent price for the stupid things they had done to her when they were in high school. The thought of the woman immediately made Sara’s smile disappear, the action not going unnoticed by you as you moved your hand to instead press it fully against the plastic screen, your palm pressed against it.
“Sara, I’m worried about you.”
“Aww...that’s sweet.” Sara teased, cackling again as she pressed her cheek against her forearm to gaze at you horizontally, her own hand moving to press against the plastic screen to cover yours.
So close and yet so far.
“Sara I’m serious.”
“So am I.”
“I can’t stand seeing you like this.” You finally confessed, moving your hand from the screen to instead press your fingers into the speaker wholes that were provided in the screen. Sara didn’t hesitate to move her own hand until her fingertips were finally touching yours.
Her tremors stopped for a small moment. Her body responding to the small hint of warmth that you provided to her, the only kind of relief that she could find in this prison.
“...If you hate seeing me like this, why do you come?”
“Because I miss you.” You said immediately, your finger tips tightening over the edges of the plastic holes in the screen.
Sara gazed at you intensely, her previous lighthearted staring evaporated as she critically analyzed you from where you sat until finally softening her feature. Her tremors were subsided for the first time in weeks since she had been in here. For one moment, her mind finally felt at peace, and her body warmed at the single touch that your fingertips gave hers.
“I miss you too.”
“You will get out soon Sara, I know it.”
“...I hope so.”
Choi Hye-jeong
Tumblr media
The cut on her lip still stung when she spike, and her left eye was almost completely swollen shut, making it difficult for her to even see you as you sat in the visitors seat while she sat on the opposite end. You didn’t even try to mask the gasp that had left your lips the second you saw her enter the room, the sound of it already breaking what was left of her already broken heart, which has been stomped on, cut, and bruised during her whole situation her.
Hyejeong felt like she was going to die. Death was quite possibly the only way that she would be able to save herself from this hell.
That damn Moon Dongeun...she completely ruined her life. She should be married by now, she should be on her honeymoon, being lavished in money and luxury while she would eagerly be awaiting to return to the city to be able to spend the rest of her time with you. She had it perfectly planned in her head, it was almost achieved too, but then she found herself suddenly being handcuffed by the police and led to a police vehicle and taken to the station for intense police questioning.
Hyejeong literally thought that her whole word was grinding to the edge of the universe when the words ‘accessory to murder’ had left the detective’s lips, along with the name of Sohee, who has been dead for practically eighteen years. Hyejeong immediately denied everything, refusing to accept any responsibility that Yeonjin had created when she decided to end the life of the high school student. But apparently there was proof for Hyejeong’s participation in the murder...even though there was no possible way for her to be involved with it because she was not there.
It had then dawned on Hyejeong that she was being framed by none other Moon Dongeun, the promise of revenge by the woman immediately ringing true as Hyejeong found herself being transported to a cell for the night until she was eventually transported to the prison. By the time she was eventually given the opportunity to call you, she had already been shipped off to the prison had been exposed to the multiple initiations of the women's prison.
“Hyejeong...” You uttered her name in such an anguished voice, the sound of it sending a wave of hurt and humiliation over her body as she ducked her head to avoid looking at you. “W-Why...”
“Because the people here are sick.” Hyejeong answered, not bothering to look up at you as she did not want to see the full damage to her face so up close.
“Hyejeong...” She heard a tremor in your voice and she glanced up to see tears forming in your eyes, your bottom lip trembling as you stared at her with a heartbroken expression. You lifted your hand and pressed it against the screen, your palm face her, almost as if you were trying to reach out to her. “Hyejeong...I am so sorry.”
“Don’t look at me with those eyes.” Hyejeong snapped, not reacting to your reaching hand as she ducked her head even further, her own hands tightened into fists in her lap as humiliation and pain continued to wash over her despite her attempts to stop it. “I can’t stand it.”
“Hyejeong-”
“Stop pitying me.” Hyejeong ordered, lifting her head to glare at you but then quickly returning it to its previous position in order to continue hiding it from you. She heard you tap against the screen.
“I’m not pitying you.”
“Yes you are.”
“No I’m not Hyejeong. I’m heartbroken for you.”
“That isn’t any better.”
“Dammit Hyejeong, you don’t deserve this!”
Your raised voice made Hyejeong raise her head to gaze at you in surprise, not expecting you to raise your voice so suddenly. You were breathing heavily on your end, tears running down your cheeks with your bottom lip still trembling. With her eyes on you, you swallowed thickly before adjusting your hand on the plastic screen so it was not directly between the two of you. It was instead resting on the lower part of the screen where it met the table, your arm laying flat against its surface.
“Out of all five of you, you are not the one who deserves to be in bars. It is all four of the others who deserve to be here. Not you.”
Hyejeong knew that she did not deserve to be here. While she was a part of Yeonjin’s gang when they were in high school, she was not the one who had done all the stuff to Sohee, Dongeun and all the others. She was just watching. That is what she did best. She was not actually the one who had participated in all the stupid things they did when they were kids. She was not the one who killed someone, it was Yeonjin. So it was complete injustice to her to be locked up like some kind of animal, beaten down constantly while the rest of the others were outside living their lives.
None of them even bothered to see her, which clearly told her that she was no longer obligated to save them from the wrath of Dongeun anymore.
“...I hate them.” Hyejeong confessed, finally moving her hand to cover yours against the screen. Your expression grew dark as you nodded.
“I hate them too.”
“I hope Dongeun will bring hell on all four of them. In fact, she can take them to hell with her.”
“And I will get you out of here Hyejeong. If it is the last thing I’ll do, I will get you out of here.”
“...”
Hyejeong tensed her fingers as they pressed against yours against the screen, her own hand aching from her defensive attempts during her time here, her knuckles covered in bruises which you had not yet noticed.
“...Please take care of me.”
“I will Hyejeong, I will.” You promised, it being the only form of comfort that Hyejeong could take while she was trapped in this hellhole.
She hoped that Yeonjin and the others burned in hell for this...and from what she has learnt so far, Moon Dongeun was effective in her revenge so she could only imagine what she had in store for those other assholes. Guess she did have a small comfort to think of during her time here. Hopefully it was be as good in person as it is in her head. Guess she will have to wait to find out.

The glory
Ha Do Young x reader
Part 1
Year 2019
three years before the series
"Don't you want to get revenge too?"
Moon Dong Eun and I have known each other for eight years now. At that time, I had lied about my age to work in the factory and have a roof over my head. When she found out, she didn't try to tell the manager as I feared.
She looked at me with her usual look and said, "It's brave for someone your age to work in a factory, but this is not a game. Make yourself small and work hard to leave this place.
After that, I started to like her. She never approached me, but she would stand up for me when I got in trouble. And for the 14 year old I was admirable
Because of her reserved personality, I didn't want to stick to her and bother her. Instead, when I noticed that she was starving herself, I would steal some bread and canned salmon from the storeroom and leave it next to her whenever she was studying late. The day she left, she had left me a note that said < when you get out of here, come see me and I did. Today, we have grown so close that I call her big sister.
"While I was away, they set their sights on you. There are no causes without consequences y/n . I will make jeon jae joon pay for what he did to you but for that you must give me your help.
"Dong Eun you know that I don't want to see him or his gang again. I just want to be away from all this.
"Don't you want to avenge your son? How can you tell him to walk with his head high in the streets if his own mother is always walking with the fear of running into her criminals again? "
After hesitating at first, he replied, "What should I do?
"I will give you an identity thing and you have to seduce Park Yeon Jin's husband.
2022
Ha Do Young pov
I walk in the newly opened Go park. My first goal was to play with someone who would like to play with me, but given the early hour I quickly drop the idea. Instead I decide to take a walk and soon I'm rambling about my problems.
Lately I have more and more suspicions that ye-sol might not be my daughter but jeon jae joon's. No matter how many times I think about it, I can't bring myself to do it. I love this child too much to give her away.
So I continue in my devaluations without really taking notice of what is happening around me until I hit a person and felt an intense burning in my stomach.
"Excuse me. Being in a hurry I wasn't really looking where I was going and you were in my way. It's nothing your fault of course".
Look at the agitated young woman in front of me who was trying to make amends as best she could
"The tea must be burning you sorry. Wipe yourself with this" she said, handing me a pocket towel. I gladly took it.
"It's early and I've already ruined your blouse. I apologize for that.
"It's nothing.
"Please send the dry cleaning bill to this address. "
She handed me a card which I took before continuing
"Excuse me again but I have to go or I'll be late" she said bowing in politeness and left
Funny woman. I threw the card and went to change. Fortunately I have a change of clothes.
Y/n pov
Yeon jin what will you feel when you see the burn on your dear husband's belly. The same place where your and jae joon marked me with oil?
________________
It was my lunch break so I went out of the hospital in which I work at the general medicine station to have some tea and sushi and change the air. The tea here is much better than the one in the hospital.
I wonder what my son is doing at this hour. I would like to spend lunch with him but it is impossible. I take a sip of my drink when someone calls out to me
"I nodded too quickly to see who it was.
"I apologize for disturbing you during your meal.
Ah Ha Do Young. How surprising that my prey comes to me alone
"You are the man from Go Park, I recognize you. Sorry again about your shirt.
"About that you told me to send you the bill but I misplaced your card.
Aren't you rich enough to pay for the dry cleaning yourself?
"Oh, I see," I said as I slid a new business card towards him.
"When you didn't contact me I thought you had forgotten about me.
"Oh no. It's not every day that people with such an atypical appearance as you have in Samyong.
This comment I received a ton of times for good or bad. Being a black skinned woman with frizzy blond hair is not easy in Korea (of course you can change the appearance of y/n)
"Don't take it the wrong way of course".
When I didn't react he must have thought I was offended
"Not at all. Being Melanesian in Korea sometimes has these advantages I stand out easily in a crowd".
"But I guess you didn't take your time just to talk to me about money, did you?"
"You're right. I realized that I didn't know the name of the one who had me throw away a new shirt early in the morning.
I'm kidding of course."
"Yu In-soon" I said and held out my hand.
"Ha Do Young" and he'll hold my hand in return.
"My pose is ending soon. See you again Mr. Ha".
"Likewise Miss Yu"

a/n: Hey there, this is my first time writing a fan fiction. I might change a few things in my fictions later on. Also, my English isn't my first language so my writing might lack some fluency. Hope you enjoy :)
trigger warnings: lots of swearing, bullying, murder, gore, depression, abuse, mature content, violence, sexual themes.
pairing: reader x multi
************************************************************************
Moon Dong-Eun
I’ve been a great help to Y/N for quite many days. I finished tutoring Min-hee and helped her get into the Semyeong Elementary School. On the other hand, I helped Y/N move into her new apartment. After finishing helping her settle, I got her the job at the convenience store. The old lady was really nice and that she told us that she was in need of another helper since she couldn’t handle everything all alone. All the supplies for the school and the transportation services were done by me.
After everything was done, I brought Y/N to my apartment. She was caught off-guard due to all the pictures of them attached to the walls in front of her.
“You did quite the research, didn’t you? You weren’t kidding back then when you told me you tracked each and every step they took,” she said as she slowly approached a picture of the group together in their teens. She was reading the sticky notes that I attached on some of the pictures when she saw a polaroid of her when she was young, followed by few other pictures of her from the current time, along with her niece. She also saw a few photos of her families before and after they separated. She stood in front of those and rubbed her finger gently on an image of a girl I believe was her sister.
“You didn’t leave me out as well,” she said as she turned around to meet my eyes. “I have every reason to be mad at you, Dong-eun, but at the same time, I don’t. I can simply report you to the police for stalking me and immediately put an end to your years’ effort, but at the same time, I can’t. I can easily walk out of this place and quit participating in your plan, but I don’t wish to. Because I trust you, Moon Dong-Eun. Not only am I risking my own life, but also Min-hee’s life. Once they find out about her, they will use her against me as my weakness. So make sure you prove me wrong and help us not get caught.”
After hearing those words from her, that’s when I knew I did the right thing involving her in this. She’s aware of the environment she’s getting herself into and knows how to take the necessary precautions, and not just an airhead with the lust for revenge.
“I knew you would feel this way once you notice those pictures. But I couldn’t help it either. When we were in school, you never bought a cell-phone for yourself. So it was quite difficult to track you down.”
“I would rather call it stalking than tracking down, Dong-eun,” she said as she turned away from me to look back at those images. I couldn’t say anything since she made a fair point. But I didn’t have any other choice either.
“I don’t recognize her. Who’s she?” She points out to a picture of Hyeon-nam.
“That’s Kang Hyeon-nam. She works for me as my assistant. She’s the one who helped me land the job as a homeroom teacher. She’s also the one who ‘stalked’ you.”
“Huh, interesting,” she said as she removed her finger from the picture and placed her hands inside her pockets. “I would like to get to know her.”
“You will when the time is right.”
I walk towards the kitchen as she moves from the wall to the window, her eyes never taking it off of those images.
I placed a small security camera at the top shelf in my kitchen, making it unnoticeable, and connected it with my phone. I took out another small box that contained another security camera and handed it to Y/N.
“There’s a possibility of them finding out about our address once they get to know about our plans. So take this, and install this somewhere where nobody will notice it. And don’t be surprised when one of them or all of them enters your house when nobody’s there.”
“Alright,” she takes it from my hand and puts it back into her satchel.
“Come on, let’s go to the roof.”
“The roof?”
“Yeah, I want to show you something.”
“Okay,” she walks past me towards my door. I unlock the door open as she busies herself in putting her shoes back on. As we got outside, I locked it behind me and walked towards the elevator.
We got inside the elevator and pushed the button to go upwards.
“Did you get the invitation for the Alumni Awards?”
“Sorry, what?”
“The Alumni Awards ceremony at Sung-han High. It’s in a few days.”
“Oh yeah maybe I did. I haven’t checked it yet.”
“Am thinking of going.”
“Wait, they’re going to be there too, wouldn’t they?”
“Yes. You need to come as well.”
“What’s the use? We aren’t even getting any awards?”
“It’s not about awards, Y/N, it’s a game of intimidation.”
She kept staring at me as if I said something illegal that deserves life in prison. We didn’t talk for a while.
The elevator came to an abrupt halt and the doors slowly opened before us. We stepped outside and climbed few more stairs to finally get to the roof.
It was a beautiful evening with the sun just setting, the color of the sky a perfect hue of flame. We came near the edge that overlooked the houses that stretched far beyond our vision. The tall buildings at far distances created just the flawless silhouette I’ve ever witnessed. Everything about Semyeong just felt so beautiful at the moment. I never took some time for myself to appreciate how exquisite this place this. The ordeals I faced here, never actually gave me any time to appreciate anything about my life.
“You see the house there?” I points to the one nearby.
“Yeah, what about it?”
“That’s where Yeon-jin lives.”
The perfect moment she was in immediately faded when she heard her name.
“That’s where she lives?”
“Yes. Ha Ye-sol, Ha Do-yeong, Park Yeon-jin, all under the same roof.”
She looked at me with her bewildered eyes, a face of the scared.
“But-then why did you buy this apartment? Wont they find out easily?”
“Not so easily Y/N, she has no clue whatsoever. She still thinks that she can get away with anything. She never learns.”
She looks back at the house. The lights on the road and inside the house lit up as it got darker. We didn’t talk for a while. The sun had set a while ago. Everything is just happening so fast, it’s making me feel overwhelmed, but I didn’t think of telling that to Y/N, otherwise she would be scared too, almost like how a mother deep down feels scared for their children but acts like there’s nothing wrong, just for them to not get scared.
It’s been my dream, for so many years, to stand here and watch over all of them, behaving as if they did absolutely nothing wrong, as if, they can get away with anything they want. Little do they know, that am right here, right in front of them, to prove them wrong.
“The day I dropped out from Sung-han High, I went to meet them, at the gym.”
She removed her hands from the edge and turned to look at me.
“What?”
“Yes. That day, I felt something new, some kind of new change in myself, something a bit evil.”
“Evil?”
“Yes. Almost like, the end of their reign, but a beginning of my hell.”
“What happened that day?”
“That day, was the only day I entered the gym voluntarily. Nobody forcibly dragged me there, I went in completely on my own. I remember so clearly, as I walked in, Hye-jeong started walking away from me, as if she was scared of me. But I ignored her, and went straight to Yeon-jin, sitting at her usual place. The weirdest part is, we talked about our dreams.”
“Dreams?”
“Yeah, they submitted their “dreams” at Cyworld, and I read all of them, told them about those that day. Yeon-jin dreamt of becoming a wise mother and a wife, Choi Hye-jeong dreamt of becoming a stewardess, Jeon Jae-joon wanted to own the golf course, and Lee Sa-ra dreamt of being an artist. Obviously, they asked me about my dream as well.”
“So what did you say then?”
“Yeon-jin,” I said with a pause. “I told her that she was my dream, and that I really wish to meet her again.”
“So all of our dreams finally came true.”
“Indeed. And I wish to bring them to their knees and show them no mercy.”
She turned around to look at me again, but I didn’t. I haven’t taken my eyes off of that house.
“Does Ha Do-yeong have the slightest idea that he married a monster?”
“He doesn’t, but he will soon. And so will Ha Ye-sol. I wish to isolate her to the point that the people she holds dear, the ones who covered up her crimes, will give up on her. Soon then she will feel like the only human on this planet, she would become completely transparent. All of her crimes and secrets will show up and she will rot in hell. Nobody will ever even think, of helping her. You can never change a monster, Y/N, never.”
She stares at me for a while and then looks away. The air was filled with aroma of the potted plants behind us.
“Do you wanna know what Myeong-oh’s dream was?”
“What?”
“To become rich.”
She began eyeing me from the side when we burst into laughters. When was the last time I laughed like this?
We took a breather to stop ourselves from more laughing. It was quite hilarious how Myeong-oh dreamt of becoming rich yet here he is, working as Jae-joon’s lackey.
“Alright then. I guess I’ll see you on the awards day.”
“Yeah.”
We went back the same way we came to the roof. Climbed down the little flight of stairs and got into an elevator to the ground floor.
I saw her out and got her a cab. As I went up to my apartment, I was thinking of how I could have told her about the meeting I had with Myeong-oh few days ago. I will tell her when the timing is right. I bribed him enough to keep him in suspense—he will also be the one to know who murdered Yoon So-hee, hopefully.

Just imagine.....
All throughout high school, you managed to avoid being the center of a bully's attention. However, their victims could always come to you to avoid anymore beatings and harassment.
You were just a normal student like them, just trying to graduate and start your future. It's the connections you have that keep them coming to you. And said connections could range from public humiliation and ostracization or straight up disappearances.
It just depended on how badly they wanted it. Those connections you had put you on her radar. You were now a key piece in the revenge plot of MOON DONG-EUN.

Hi! Hope you're doing well ☺️ I would like to request headcanons for Ha Do-yeong and Jeon Jae-jun (separately) falling in love and confessing to a female reader is Moon Dong-eun's friend who helped her in revenge? She is also a very loving mother figure to Ye-sol? And what it will be like to date them? Thank you ❤️
(Im)Perfect Relationship (Do-yeong & Jae-jun)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairings: Ha Do-yeong x Fem!Reader, Ye-sol x Fem!Reader (Platonic), Jeon Jae-jun x Fem!Reader,
word count: ± 1k
genre: Angst, fluffy, suggestive (?)
summary:
Jeon Jae-jun, He was the almost perfect guy for all the girls, he had everything he wanted whenever he wanted, and the only thing he wanted, he couldn't have, was you.
Ha Do-yeong, With his thought of leaving Seoul with Ye-sol, trying to keep his daughter away from the evils of the metropolis, he only saw a single light to stay.
warnings: mention of Moon Dong-eun's bullying, swearing, forgiveness (?), almost an unhappy ending, Reader being doubtful of any act of Jae-jun, jealousy, age gaps, kissing, mention of Park Yeon-jin, let me know if anything slipped out.:)
a/n: aaaa, kinda sad? but, after all, deep down there are feelings :((
part 1 / part 2 (smut)
Jeon Jae-jun
★ Jae-jun the moment he met you, the first time he saw you with Moon Dong-eun on the court, he quickly felt that he could convince you (or you) with his charm, but he didn't even come close, you and Dong-eun just cutting off the chat and leaving happy that their plan had begun.
★ Jae-jun, after several times seeing you in situations involving Dong-eun and his revenge, he felt tempted to flirt with you, but unfortunately for him, he always got dumped, getting angry and determined to make you surrender to his beauty.
★ When Jae-jun realized that he wanted you more than any other woman he could have, he felt indifferent, laughing in his own face, because he had simply never felt that way with Yeon-jin, much less with Hye-jeong. So he spent long moments thinking about why he wanted to stay close and wanted to impress just you.
★ Jae-jun when he touched himself is in love with you, he cursed himself internally, cursing himself every moment he found himself thinking about you, what it would be like to wake up next to you, how your lips could be soft and sweet, how your food would be hot, etc. And he quickly shook his head furiously while you were almost finishing him off in the revenge plan, he must hate you.
★ Jae-jun thought that if he got rid of Yeon-jin, he would have a share of forgiveness and found the perfect time to confess his feelings while he almost made you guys crash into his car, what a stupid idea he thought of later. You asked Dong-eun to stay in the car, saying you would deal with him and well, it was really awkward talking.
"You're telling me you're in love with me? You're kidding, right?" You laughed in disbelief, the rain wetting your hair and clothes with how much outside it was.
"I am not kidding!" He shouted angrily, it wasn't because he was in love that he would be sweet, he was still explosive.
"No way." He scoffed. "It's impossible for someone like you to have feelings, especially you! Are you aware of what you did to Dong-eun? Do you feel guilty? Do you feel ashamed? No, right? Because you are you! Superb, just thinking about money and sex, nothing Besides, it matters.” He spat out the words. "Someone like you would never know what love, empathy, compassion, those things are. Never, do you understand?"
"Y/N, please…" Before he could say anything, Yeo-jeong appeared, asking you to leave with Dong-eun and he would sort it out, you obeyed, leaving there.
★ Jae-jun in the following days felt frustrated, hating himself for every moment of that damn conversation. You were right? Could he ever feel what love is? Did you hate him? Was he such a horrible person? And if he asked for forgiveness, would everything change? Would you like him? He was so confused, so sad, for the first time in his life, he would have to fight for something he truly cared about.
★ When Jae-jun went to visit Hye-jeong, after all those events, he felt strange and even asked Choi why he was feeling that way, of course Hye-jeong looked at him strangely, in disbelief at what she was hearing, quickly Jeon he told her to forget about it and not tell anyone, the moment he left, he came face to face with you, dressed as a nurse and with a gentle smile while talking to a patient, when your eyes met theirs he soon disappeared, moving on to another wing, but was prevented by him.
★ Jae-jun took you to the hospital terrace, where you could stay afterwards, saying he had to talk to you, you had no choice but to go.
“Y/N.” He tried to find words to say what he felt. "I know you don't believe me, and you're right, I understand that. But please… Just think about it." Jae-jun put his hands together for the first time to beg for something.
"Rethink?" You asked. "What do I have to think? You hurt my friend, you made her about, what do you want me to rethink?!"
"Oh!" He shouted impatiently. "Damn, I know what I did, but… I… Fuck!" He couldn't. "I-I like you! I want you, not just to stay and leave the next morning for the first time, I want to wake up next to someone, I want to be the reason you smile, I want to actually be good to you, I don't know why I'm feeling this, but that's what I think every time I see you! Please, please, please. Think again, if you really don't want to, I'll disappear from your life forever!" Jae-jun knelt in front.
His eyes staring deeply into yours, really trying to convey everything he felt to you, he didn't understand, but he thought it was the right thing to do. You stared at him, kneeling in front of him, your heart pounding, confused, strangely thoughtful at the confession, maybe… Just maybe, could you forgive him? Was he lying? Was he cheating on you? Was he planning something with this? Why would he go to the level of kneeling and begging? Maybe, you should at least give him the pleasure of a cup of coffee or dinner to hear what he had to say. Maybe, you should talk to Dong-eun and Yeo-jeong about this, you were so confused. You really need to think about this.
Ha Do-yeong
★ When Ha Do-yeong met you, you were Ye-sol's babysitter since Yeon-jin went back to work, you spent most of your day with the little girl. He was surprised when he saw her with Moon Dong-eun after her resignation, but logically, he didn't say anything to Yeon-jin while letting you see Ye-sol while she was gone, since the girl was attached to you.
★ When Yeon-jin tried to push you away at all costs if Ye-sol, he intervened because the woman wanted to fight in front of her daughter, he didn't let her insult you, much less let her attack you. He pushed you away and apologized to you, saying that you could see Ye-sol in peace once the divorce papers were signed, you were surprised when you heard him say that but you agreed.
★ Ha Do-yeong, after Yeon-jin was arrested, he sent you a text message, asking if you would like to leave with them and leave Seoul, you quickly denied it because of your family and that your friend needed you even That you loved Ye-sol, he couldn't leave everything and leave like that, he understood that, he thought, he spent the night thinking about it.
★ He asked you for lunch one day, you were silent until the waiter took your orders, he cleared his throat to say something to you.
"Y/N. I understand that you don't want to leave Seoul because of your family, Moon Dong-eun and other personal reasons of yours. Therefore, Ye-sol has been very attached to you since forever, I think. She doesn't stop Talking about you and your times together, I wish you could babysit her again in some way. I just… I really want you close to her, she likes you a lot like I do." He said spontaneously, of course it made perfect sense in his head, but something held you back.
"Oh-" his cheeks lit up pink, it caught her off guard at this. "I know, Mister Ha. And well, of course I can babysit Ye-sol, I love this little girl more than anything and I understand that you would do anything to see her happy." You smiled shyly and he smiled brightly.
★ When Do-yeong got home after weeks of you accepting the proposal, he felt his heart catch fire seeing you and Ye-sol preparing a cake, the kitchen full of wheat and mixtures that spilled while lively music played in the background, and Their laughter filled the place with joy. When you saw him standing there, his cheeks turned red with embarrassment while Ye-sol was more radiant than anything.
"Appa, you're here!" The little girl ran to him, despite his protest that she would dirty him. "Y/N and I are making a cake for us all to snack on." Ye-sol whispered as if it was a secret.
"A cake? It must be delicious!" He smiled approaching the dirty kitchen. "Apparently, there were some unforeseen events." He laughed at how he was doing.
"I'm sorry Mr. Ha, I promise I'll clean everything up!" You assured.
"No problem, if the cake is good, you will be forgiven!" He tickled Ye-sol who laughed loudly.
Some time after everything was tidy and clean, you were sitting on the grass in the backyard, having a picnic in the moonlight, seeing the full moon in the sky while listening to Ye-sol's stories. Suddenly, Do-yeong reached out to his face, which made it red again.
"There's still cake mix on your face." He chuckled, wiping at his chin. His gaze and hand remained for a good few minutes, you were very beautiful, how did he not notice that before?
"My God!" You almost exploded with embarrassment. "I'll have to spend long minutes in the shower to clean up all this mess." You laughed shyly as his eyes lit up, quickly taking his hand away from you.
★ After that day, he found himself feeling different about you, you seemed more beautiful and more attractive than any other woman he had ever seen, and who had flirted with him. He refused to accept his own feelings, because you were younger than him, he felt hesitant about it.
★ After much thought, he invited you to go with him and Ye-sol to the beach, you accepted thinking it was just to take care of Ye-sol during it, but certainly not. You were tempted to look at his almost defined body, the masculine features that highlighted his beauty, heavens, you were feeling completely attracted to his boss…
★ And this was even deeper when you saw a woman talking to him, feeling strange, calling Ye-sol to come with you, to call him.
"Jagiya?" "Appa!" You called them, right behind him. Making the woman look at you and as he turned around in surprise at the call.
"What?" He asked in surprise.
"Jagiya, Ye-sol wants to eat ice cream… How about you join us?" You teased, making a different tone appear on Do-yeong's cheeks. When the woman said goodbye to him, it was his victory, without saying anything, he took them to the ice cream shop.
That night, minutes after you put Ye-sol to sleep, he was on the balcony looking at the stars drinking wine he found in the hotel room.
"Jagiya. Was this all to drive away the woman I was with?" You almost spat the wine out of his mouth when Do-yeong appeared in the doorway.
"I… No…" He chuckled at her nervous state. "Were you jealous?" He asked, knowing the answer. "She was a lookalike from the company, who saw me and came to greet me, don't worry." He teased making your cheeks catch fire.
"Mister Ha…" You saw him get closer to you.
"Maybe I should show you who my heart belongs to…" He said almost in a whisper, your heart pounding against your chest, your eyes dilating, on impulse, you set the glass aside, holding onto Do-yeong's long shoulders and pulling him into a kiss, soft and sweet.
"Maybe, you already have your answer…" his eyes sparkled next to his.
That night, a new passion set fire to Do-yeong's heart, a true and pure love, without lies, without deceit, without cheating. Where even his daughter felt welcomed and loved.

We’ve been going strong, getting things ready for my next announcement-- WE ARE STARTING A PODCAST! The first episode will be up on October 6 with a second episode following shortly (release dates for subsequent episodes will be announced soon). The three of us have been talking about this since at least March, and we are happy to report that we are getting closer to the release!
Our aim is to release two episodes a month, the first episode will follow a looser format where we talk about a lighthearted topic, while the second episode will be more informative. In this first episode we will talk about the different ways the three of us got into KPOP! We will be on SoundCloud and eventually Spotify and iTunes. More information and links will be posted soon!
In lesser but still exciting news, we now have a Spotify! We will be putting up personally curated playlists on there so please check it out and follow us there as well!

The Glory -> You Leave Them
Requested: No
Kdrama: The Glory
Genre: Angst.
Warnings: Mentions of murder. Mentions of bullying. Mentions of death. No remorse. Swearing. Violence.
A/N: I absolutely do not condone anything that was presented in the kdrama. No one should ever bully others. This is all purely fiction.
Moon Dong-eun
Tumblr media
The apartment was remarkably quiet, not filled with the with your singing voice as you would flounder around the rooms, usually the kitchen, as you made dinner for the two of you. Dongeun closed the door behind her silently, dark eyes flinting across the room as she began to take her coat off. It was dark, not a single light on, a sign that you were not home.
She frowned.
You always were home before her, being a creature of routine as you always returned home after work, diligently waiting for her as she would be out doing her own work and alternative dealings with Yeojeong, productively placing all the puzzle piece of her plan together. She was close to achieving her revenge on everyone, time being her side as it always has been since her high school years. She had the five of them running around like headless chickens, flustered and terrified about her next moves. It was silently delightful, to see them so terrified of her presence, of her very lingering around the diameter of their lives, not really truly lifting a finger of direct interaction with them.
Mice do not truly feel terror towards a cat until they see it watching them, only then do survival instincts kick in, but Dongeun was not ready to pounce yet. She was simply biding her time until the ultimate position was set for her to deliver the final kill.
But aside from that, she was concerned on where you were. She pulled out her phone, checking to see if you had perhaps sent her a message about your whereabouts, something you always do even though she has stated that it is not necesarry.
Nothing.
Dongeun’s frown deepened as she pocketed her phone before reach out to switch on the lights, eyes blinking as they adjusted to the sudden light in the apartment, still hoping to catch a glimpse of you in the room.
“Y/N?” she called out, her voice leaving a slight echo in the empty room as it went unanswered.
A small bundle of unease began to form in Dongeun’s chest, not enjoying the aspect that you were not home like she expected. Throughout her life, Dongeun has never had anything that was constant, especially after her ordeals in high school, so when you stumbled into her life, it has been a concept she has never had to deal with before.
You were so...good. Dongeun has never been surrounded by something good or positive, her whole life until now being filled with pain, fear, and wrath. So when you were adamant to become involved in her life, slipping through the concealed cracks in her armor, she thought herself and you to be insane. Although Dongeun lost her sanity years ago, lost all sense of her humanity ever since that curling iron laid its first kiss to her skin.
But since meeting you, she felt that perhaps she will finally be able to feel a sense of normalcy in her life again. Or to just feel something again. She hasn’t quite be able to outright say what her feelings towards you were, but she knew that it was something that could be worthwhile. Something tangible and something that she can act upon which will not wind up with someone paying for their past sins.
But the feeling of unease was not welcomed and even though you did not answer the first time she called your name, she tried again, hoping that just perhaps you were someone deeper in the apartment that you simply did not hear her.
But you voice didn’t answer her back.
This was a strange circumstance, and Dongeun knew that she did not like it. Swallowing a bitter pill of nerves, Dongeun walked through the kitchen and headed towards your bedroom, it being the other likely place you would be aside from the kitchen. She opened the door without hesitance, hand going for the light switch, eyes moving to where your bed was, hoping to see your sleeping bundle in it.
But nothing. Your sheets were pressed and straight, not a single sign of disturbance on their immaculate design. Her eyes flinted across the room, your organization obvious to the naked eye but Dongeun froze when she noticed a piece of paper on your desk, a pen on top of it which indicated that something had been written down. While usually Dongeun respected your privacy, only entering your room when she required your assistance or when you finally managed to convince her to sleep beside you for the night, she could not help but forgo her previous reservations upon entering your room without you as she bee lined for your desk.
She immediately noticed the writing on the piece of paper, your cursive writing curling with one another, forming her name on the folded piece of paper, making the ball of unease increase as she reached out and picked it up from the desk, unfolding the piece of paper with slightly shaky fingers.
To Dongeun
There is nothing more that I want than you happiness. After everything that has happened to you, it is what you deserve.
I have tried to be a source of your happiness, to try be a semblance of what you can call happiness. But I don’t think that I am someone who is able to give you what you want.
Your revenge...it is what you want. And I understand why. I sincerely hope that you are able to find what you need Dongeun, but I am scared that I will fall into a hole which I will never get out of. And while you are happy to fall...I am scared to fall with you.
I am not sure when you will find this letter, but Dongeun, please don’t think I have left because of you. I have left because of myself. Because I am not strong enough to handle to consequences that may come from your revenge.
If this will add me to your list...then I accept it.
I just hope that you will hopefully find your happiness soon.
Goodbye
Dongeun stared at the piece of paper, rereading the word, a stone forming itself in her throat as she tried to get a handle of herself. And yet she could not stop the tear that escaped her eye, nor could she stop the following ones as she lowered herself to her knees, slumping over the letter as it fell from her fingertips to the floor.
The last time she cried was when she was saved from making the ending choice that winter in the river. When she was embraced by her landlady, giving her the comfort she so desperately craved. Afterwards, she became completely numb with her emotions, the only thing motivating her forwards in life was the ultimate revenge she was going to carry out against Yeonjin and the others.
And yet now she is finding herself beginning to bawl like she did all those years ago, her arms wrapping around her body as she attempted to comfort herself, halfheartedly patting herself as she slumped her head forward.
You were gone...and she had no idea where she could start to find you.
Her constant was gone. And you didn’t even realize just what you were to her. And it seems that she will never be able to tell you.
Joo Yeo-jeong
Tumblr media
Both of you froze when you locked eyes, him already having stared at you in shock as he watched you shoving clothes into a suitcase, you not realizing he was there until you lifted your head. Neither of you said a word, just staring at each for a few long moments, either trying to figure out what to say or to truly determine if the other was in fact in the room.
But eventually you were the one who broke eye contact first, turning around to head back to the closet and yanking out more of your blouses, hurried undoing them from the hangers. Only then did Yeojeong hurry pass the threshold and headed towards you.
“Y/N, what on earth are you doing?”
“Packing.”
Your voice was firm, but he could hear the fragility of as you kept your head down, not daring to lock gazes with him. But he was not going to allow that, not when you were doing something sudden. He reached out to you and grabbed you by the arm, only for you to rip it out of his hand.
“Don’t touch me.” You hissed, still not looking at you as you shoved your blouse in the bag before grabbing another, only for Yeojeong to grab it before you.
“Stop. Y/N, what is going on?” he asked, tugging the piece of clothing closer to him as you reached out to grab it back. You paused for a moment before deciding to forgo the captive blouse, turning around and shoving the others in before heading back to the closet, him following quickly after you. “Y/N, what are you doing? Why are you pack? Where are you going?”
“Away from you.”
Your words were as sharp as three daggers being plunged into his chest, curved blades that have truly wedged themselves into is sternum, causing excruciating pain while he was trying to determine your reasoning for such harsh words.
“W-Why? What did I do-”
His words got caught in his throat when you suddenly whirled around to look at him, eyes hard but red with tear streaks down your cheeks, clearly indicating to you that you have been crying. But before he could reach out to try wipe away the old remnants of tears, your words made the blood in his body freeze.
“Are you seriously going to try play dumb with what you did. To what you have been drawing out for the past years until you finally managed to achieve what you wanted?”
While you did not outright state what he did, he knew immediately what you were referring to. His revenge, his long, drawn out revenge which he finally managed to achieve last week. To watch the light fade away from that monster’s eyes, to see the blood seep out of his body, the sign of life escaping him, it had been wonderful. And the best thing about it is that it all seemed to be an accident, the pouncing of other prisoners on the monster. No one has suspected his participation in the attack, after all, he was just a doctor. The beast had been brought to the medical wing of the prison, but he already knew that the beast was gone, as he waited the entire time during the whole ordeal until his last breath was taken.
It was hours of pain for him, but Yeojeong, it was hours of bliss. And he made sure to treasure the memories in his mind.
But now...it seemed that he was no longer the only one who knew about it.
“H-How did you-”
“It doesn’t matter. But what does matter is that I am leaving.”
You whirled around and grabbed your favorite cloak, his eyes flicking to the closest to realize that all the clothes that he had gotten for you during the entire relationship was left hanging in the closet, you having no intention of taking them with you. As you moved to walk past him, he immediately stepped in front of you, his hands moving to grab you.
“Wait, Y/N, just listen to-”
“NO!”
Your scream made him flinch backwards, not expecting you to scream so suddenly. Your eyes were blazing, but he noticed that they were becoming wetter by each passin second until you angrily wiped at them, tightening your grip on your cloak before you pushed past him and head towards the suitcase on the bed.
“I don’t need to listen to a damn thing you say.”
“Y/N, you have to understand that-”
“Understand what?” you said, whipping around to face him again. “Understand that you killed a man in cold blood? That you had been planning it out even before you transferred to that prison? That you enjoyed it? What else is there for me to understand?”
Yeojeong tightened his hands into fists, slightly shaking on the spot as he clenched his jaw tightly, his adam’s apple bobbing as he stared at you, trying his best to keep his emotions in check.
“Y/N...he deserved it. After what he did to me, to my father, he deserved to die. He deserved it!”
He didn’t mean to raise his voice towards the end, but he couldn’t help it. Just...the thought of that beast, the memories of him laughing and mocking Yejeong as he laid on the floor in the hospital as his father bled out...it made his blood boil. His father was a great man who was only doing his job. He saw the best of people, and yet that monster slit his throat without hesitation. He deserved to go out the way that he did, by Yeojeong’s hand, precise and slow were all of the cuts and stabs, he made sure that he suffered, he made sure that he felt his wrath.
You had flinched at his raised voice, but your features tightened up even more, the cloak in your hands being thrown onto your open suitcase before you took a step towards him.
“He deserved to die...but not by your hand.”
His jaw dropped in shock. What the hell were you saying.
“Y/N-”
“That monster deserved to die Yeojeong. But not by your hand.”
“I...Yes he did! He killed my father Y/N! He has sent me letters about it for years! You’ve read them! You’ve seen them! And you are saying that he didn’t deserve to be killed by me! I had the right to do it! It was my right.”
He couldn’t help but be infuriated by your words. Out of all people, you should be the one the most understanding. You understood the utter disgust and hatred he felt towards that man, no, that beast, and yet you are staring at him like he was some kind of stranger, or a predator you had been locked in with in a cage.
You stared at him with cold eyes, cool tragedy fooling your orbs while your lips quivered as you stared at him. Your jaw was clenching and unclenching, your neck flexing as you swallowed before you shook your head.
“You just don’t see it Yeojeng.” You said before turning around, moving towards your suitcase and slamming it shut with a resounding click. “You refuse to see it.”
“...refuse to see what?” he probed, his eyes staring darkly into yours as you turned around to face him again, hands on the handle of your suitcase. You gazed at him solemnly before uttering the words which made his entire conscious freeze.
“You’re just like him.”
It almost felt like you fired a bullet through his brain, bring an entire end to his living soul when he heard those words. He didn’t even realize that you had left until he heard the resounding slam of the front door, which startled him out of his daze. He hurried to chase after you, only to trip on the lone blouse you had abandoned in his hands earlier, making him fall to the ground with a hard thud.
Pain...that was all he could feel. Physical, emotional, and soulful.

Following his disastrous marriage to Yeonjin and divorce, Doyeong was apprehensive to get involved with someone else, believing that he had to just focus on his overseas expansions and on providing Yesol the best life that he could.
But then you entered his and Yesol’s life, and managed to slowly fill in the void that was caused by his ex-wife. You had a warm air about you which was different Yeonjin, or rather any other woman he has come across in his social circles. He was not naive enough to believe that woman were attracted to him because of his personality, but because of his wealth. The reason he and Yeonjin had been introduced to one another was because her mother had been an acquaintance of his father’s, the two of them running in the same social circles that eventually she caught his attention, charmed him, and managed to convince him to fall in love with her and give her the life she had always wanted.
But you were different because you had no idea who he was when the two of you first met. In fact, you weren’t even aware of the wealth that he had as he had happened to bump into you at a soccer match at Yesol’s school, you being there to support your niece as she played on the opposing team to Yesol. You introduced yourself and offered to buy him a coffee, almost bewitching him at first sight with your kind smile and bright eyes.
Yesol took a liking to you, she was a bit shy at first but when you had offered to buy her a victory ice-cream after beating your niece and nephews team, she lightened up like a Christmas tree. And soon afterwards, you started become an aspect to their life, a development which had startled him.
It was not that he did not want you a part of his life. He did, in fact, he craved it. But he couldn’t help but worry the confusion his relationship may cause with Yesol, especially since it has not been too long ago that the whole ordeal of Yeonjin had affected their lives. Doyeong did not believe that Yesol needed Yeonjin to be happy, that him being her father was enough for her. But when he watched you and Yesol bond with one another, playing soccer, dress up and going on shopping and arcade trips, he could help but start to feel panicked with how much of a figure you were becoming in their lives, and with how fast things were starting to move.
Doyeong would not describe himself of being a coward. In fact, he would consider himself the opposite, but with how fast things were moving, he was getting scared. Of what, he did not exactly know, but he couldn’t stop the fear from growing until he finally snapped in an unfair moment of panic when all you were doing was trying to be there for both Yesol and him.
When he had received a phone call from a hospital about Yesol, he thought his entire world had shattered when he heard the word’s ‘accident’ and ‘missed traffic light’. He flew out of his office like a banshee out of hell, uncaring of the meeting that he was to enter because the only thing that was on his mind was his daughter. He probably broke about a dozen overseas laws with his driving but he did not simply care for it because nothing was going to stop him until he knew the state of his daughter.
He had all but sprinted into the hospital and demanded to know where Yesol was, nearly scaring the receptionist half to death with his rapid Korean, not understanding what he was saying until he eventually had to calm himself to speak English, eventually being directed to the after-care unit where Yesol was being kept. He sprinted through the corridors and corners until he eventually arrived in the corridor to where Yesol’s room was, only to see you stepping out of a room with your arm in a sling.
“Y/N!”
You immediately turned your head in the direction of Doyeong as he hurried towards you, a small smile on your face as you raised your uninjured arm towards him.
“Doyeong-”
“Yesol! Where is she? Is she okay?!” He immediately asked, staring at you with panicked eyes as he demanded to know the status of his daughter. You gave him a comforting look, resting a hand on his arm in an attempt to calm him.
“She’s okay, the doctor is busy checking up on her now. He will be done in a few minutes and then you can see her.”
Doyeong relaxed slightly now that he knew that Yesol was okay, but his anxiety immediately raked up again when he remembered the reason Yesol was in the hospital in the first place. You had your day off and wanted to spend it with Yesol since it was the school holidays. Doyeong was initially hesitant about it since he knew that he was going to be busy all day and not be able to join the two of you, but when Yesol pleaded for him to agree to your desire, to let the two of you spend the day together, he eventually succumbed to his daughters wishes and agreed.
But it seemed his initial hesitance was valid because if he had refused your request, then Yesol wouldn’t be injured and in the hospital in the first place.
“You said that she would be okay with you. Why the hell didn’t you take care of her?”
Doyeong didn’t realize that he had said such harsh words until he said them, and by the way your furrowed your eyebrows and flinched, you weren’t expecting such words from him either. You removed your hand from his arm and took a step back.
“I didn’t mean for it to happen Doyeong. It was an accident. It was my right away and another car had jumped the stoplight and-”
“That is not enough! Yesol was in the car! You should have been more aware on the road!”
You furrowed your eyebrows even more and took another step, taking an unsteady breath while you bit your bottom lip.
“I didn’t see them coming Doyeong. You know that I would never deliberately put Yesol in danger like that. It was an accident, and while I understand how you feel-”
“You have no idea how I feel. Yesol is my daughter!” He yelled, his hands tightening into fists as he whipped past you to stand in front of the door where you had come out from. He needed the doctor to come out already, he needed to see Yesol for himself, to scoop her up in his arms to truly comfort him that she was okay. He heard you sigh and walk up behind him, reaching out to touch his elbow.
“I understand why you are upset Doyeong and I’m sorry. I should have been careful, and you know that I love Yesol like she is my own daughter-”
Before Doyeong could stop himself, he whirled around to face you with a snarl on his lips, his eyes flashing angrily as he glared at you.
“She will never be your daughter, just like you will never, ever be her mother!”
...
He might as well have slapped you with how strong of an effect his words had on you. You completely stumbled away from him, eyes wide and jaw slacked, staring at him in complete and utter shock. Doyeong widened his own eyes when his own words and indication of them dawned on him, filling him with immediate regret as he watched you fold in within yourself, your bottom lip quivering as you looked away from him.
“I-I see.” You stuttered out, your voice strained, an indication to him that you were trying to stop yourself from crying. “T-Then, I will see myself off.”
Without another word, you turned around and began to hurry away, his own body acting on instinct to chase after you, but before he could, the door behind him opened and another voice called out to him.
“Oh, are you Mr. Ha? Yesol’s father?”
Doyeong turned around to see a well-dressed man in a doctor’s coat, a kind smile on his face as he looked at him. Doyeong swallowed thickly, trying to push down his emotions of dismay and regret as he nodded, running a hand through his hair.
“Yes. I-Is Yesol alright?”
The doctor smiled and nodded before inviting Doyeong in, Yesol smiling face immediately greeting him as she sucked on a red lollipop which the doctor must have given her, a plaster on her cheek.
“Hi daddy!” She greeted, giving him a wave, only to frown slightly as she looked behind him. “Where’s Y/N?”
And Doyeong was at a lost to what to say.

We’re over
Not a lot of things have ever scared Yeonjin, but the second she saw that text message from you, an avalanche of terror and panic washed over her. She knew that the reappearance of Dongeun in her life was going to be the cause of so much trouble, especially since Sara had already taken a fall, being one of the first of them to crumble under the so called ‘revenge’ Dongeun was trying to pull over them, but she thought for certain that you were going to remain untouched throughout this duration of Dongeun’s stupid revenge scheme.
She was in the middle of broadcasting when she had received the message, and it was only afterwards did she finally managed to read it and was sent into a complete state of shock because she refused to believe you would actually send such a text to her during a time when she needed you the most.
She immediately tried to call you, but it went unanswered, prompting her to call you a second time, then a third, and then a fourth to finally realize that you were purposely ignoring her calls. And she could not stand for it.
Yeonjin did waste another second of her time, immediately grabbing her stuff and all but sprinting out of the studio to get to her car. She all but stranded her assistant behind, not bothering about them because they were not a priority. They could take a taxi for all she cared, but the only thing she had in mind was to find you.
You could not leave her. Not now when she needed you the most. Sara was a lost case, Jaejun has lost his mind, Myeong-oh was dead, and Hyejeong is a pathetic bitch who could get burnt alive for all she cared, but she could not handle the thought of you leaving her as well. You were her only constant right now, the only reminder that she had that her life was still fine. Doyeong was all but a distant memory, her husband being the last thing on her mind when the only person she needed was you.
You were the only one able to bring pleasure and joy into her life. They only to make her feel alive and rejuvenated.
And you were leaving her.
She could not allow it.
She knew journey to your home like the back of her hand, her body driving to it with muscle memory while she continued calling her number via her car system, but each time it continued to go unanswered. You were ignoring her...but not for long. She could not have you treat her like this, she needed you to listen to her, to explain why you were doing such an outrageous thing.
Yeonjin roughly parked her car in the apartment parking lot without a car and slammed the door shut before hurrying towards your building, not sparing a glance to any other the home owners who noticed her presence as she made her way towards your apartment. She sprinted up the stairs like a hell hound was at her heels, her eyes focused on one thing, being your front door apartment when she immediately reached your floor. She hammered her fists against the door while simultaneously ringing your doorbell.
“Y/N! Open this door! Open this door right now!”
There was a possibility that you were not home, but if you were, it would only be a matter of time before you answered her because you were the kind of person who hated drama being aired out in public, and while no one knew of your and her relationship aside from her friends, you would rather not risk anyone else finding out since it will only send tongues wagging and have some kind of effect on you, especially since Yeonjin was a married woman.
And Yeonjin was right when after a few minutes of her make a ruckus at your front door, it whipped open and revealed an infuriated you dressed in pajamas.
“Are fucking insane right-”
Yeonjin didn’t let you finish your sentence, pushing herself past the door and into your arms where she immediately wrapped her arms around your waist and then forced you against the wall, forcing you to let go of your front door and let it slam itself shut, the sound echoing through your apartment. Yeonjin pressed herself closely against your body, pinning you to the wall while her nails dug into your lower back as she held you tightly.
“Just what is it that you are trying to do to me?” She hissed softly into your cheek, brushing her lips against the skin as she tried to gather as much comfort that she could from the warmth of your body, her throat tight with blurry emotions that she could distinguish to herself yet. “What are you trying to do to us? Y/N, you are not thinking straight again.”
You scoffed.
“The only one who is not thinking straight is you. Now get off me.”
She felt your hands on her shoulders, trying to push her away, but Yeonjin was not going to allow herself to be moved so easily. She instead curled her chin over your shoulder, forcing you closer into her body as she tightened her hold around your waist. She heard you hiss annoyance and felt the increased pressure of your hands against her shoulders.
“Yeonjin! I am not joking, let go!”
“No.”
“Yeonjin I am serious!”
“So am I. No.”
“Bloody hell Yeonjin, get off!”
She was not expecting you to headbutt her, gasping immediately in when she felt your head collide with temple, making her loosen her grip on you to clutch at the injured spot, giving you the opportunity to shove her way entirely from you. Yeonjin stumbled backwards, almost falling if not for her quick reflexes. Betrayal spouted out of her chest as she locked eyes with you as you cradled your own head, eyes burning in fury as you stared at her.
You have never laid a hand against Yeonjin. Never. Not even when she maybe deserved when she was more cutting with you during some of her bad days. But never have you been physical with her, not even during arguments, so the fact that you headbutted her...she felt as if the entire world had been pulled out from her.
“H-How could you?” She said, her voice betraying her usual intention to try be as composed as she could be. You scoffed.
“How could I? I told you to get off but you didn’t listen. But then again, you have always done what you wanted and have never considered the feelings of someone else.”
Yeonjin flinched at your words, so unused to hearing your voice to be so curt and sharp. You were usually so soft-spoken with her, endearing and loving as you whispered sweet nothings in her ear while burning kiss marks against her skin as she arched her body into yours for more of your embrace.
You were acting so different, it having been only a day since she last saw you. Just how could you be acting like such a different person in a short amount of time. What has happened.”
“I know you got my message. So I don’t get why you are here.” You hissed, crossing your arms over your chest as you glared at her. Narrowing her own eyes, Yeonjin took a step towards you, tightening her lips into a straight line.
“You are stupid if you think I would just read that message and do nothing about it.”
You laughed.
“Calling me stupid in my own home? Wow, that is quite something to say.”
“Stop fooling around Y/N. You are making no sense with anything?”
“I’m not making sense of everything? I think I have been pretty clear.”
“Y/N, stop messing around already, otherwise I will-”
“You will what? Burn me?”
The way that you said those last two words, looking at her with such cold conviction, made the blood in Yeonjin’s body freeze. And her body continued to become more ice cold as you took steps towards her, eyes growing more infuriated with each passing second.
“Are you going to burn me Yeonjin? Perhaps with a curling iron? Or maybe a normal iron will be better. Although who knows, maybe you have taking a liking to boiling water instead, or maybe just your lighter. You have on you at all times, so perhaps that will be your weapon of choice. Everybody matures from their past actions after all.”
As you got closer, Yeonjin couldn’t help but stumble back away from you, your words scaring her more than she has ever been before. And you could see it clearly on her face, but you did not care. Instead of stopping in front of her, you walked past her without another words, making Yeonjin slowly turn around to watch you retreat. She took a few hesitant steps forwards, only to freeze again when you returned back with some documents in her hand. But when you got closer, she realized that they weren’t just documents, but rather photographs.
You didn’t say a word as you shoved the photos in her chest, making her clumsily clutch at them as she felt your burning gaze on her as she slowly lifted them to see their captured picture. Her eyes widened in horror when red, burn marks on skin, most particularly, on Dongeun’s skin as the teenage Dongeun looked at the photo, only to be followed with a current Dongeun photo staring at the camera with an empty gaze. There were about ten photos of Dongeun as a teen and as an adult, displaying the new and faded marks from captured time period.
“I can’t believe you could be that cruel.” Your voice interrupted her thoughts, forcing her to look up and see you disgusted face, arms crossed as you stared at her. “How could you have done something like that to her?”
“I-I didn’t-”
“Don’t even try lie to me Yeonjin. Don’t you dare.”
“I-This wasn’t me! T-This was-”
“She came by my house today. Alone.” You finally said, making Yeonjin’s words become trapped in her throat as she stared at you in horror. “She told me everything. About what you and the others did to her in school.”
“S-She-”
“I never want to see you ever again.” You finally said, uncrossing your arms and pointing at the front door. “Get out of my house before I call the fucking police.”
“Y-Y/N.”
“Now Yeonjin.” You growled, lowering your arm as your glare brightened with each passing second. “Otherwise I will do it myself.”
Yeonjin started to shake her head, the photographs falling out of her hands as she walked towards you, reaching out to touch you, to grab you and tell you that everything that Dongeun had told you was wrong. That she was a delusional girl who wanted to blame her very everything bad that went in her life. But you didn’t let her. Instead, you roughly grabbed her by the hair, making Yeonjin screech in pain as you pulled her towards the front door and all but tossed her outside, making her land painfully on her knees before she turned to look at you in shock and horror. You stared her down with disgusted eyes, you face screwed up in fury.
“I never want to see you again.”
And then you slammed the door shut, leaving her outside with bruised knees and a shattered heart.

Shock washed over him like ice-cold water as he stared at your crumbled body on the floor, your head turned away from him and your shoulder shaking as you tried to compose yourself from the pain that he just caused you. His hand was sting from the slap, his body frozen stiff like a statue as he stared at you in shock, unable to say anything as he came to terms with what he did.
He hit you.
He...
He...
He just...he didn’t realize he did it until he saw you on the floor.
He just knows he was angry. He was angry over the fact that no matter he did or said, there was no way that he was ever going to have Yesol. There was no chance for him to be a father to Yesol. His little girl, his own flesh and blood. He had the right to her like Yeonjin did, and the fact that some snobby motherfucker like Ha Doyeong was acting like Yesol’s father when he was actually her real one, it pissed him off to no degree.
You came by to visit him to try calm him down, to just let him see a little reason, but he did not want to listen. He didn’t want you there because there was no way you would be able to understand the problem he was dealing with. You were no mother and no wife; therefore, you had no semblance of understanding towards his situation.
Jaejun has gotten better at handling his temper, knowing he was a little shit in high school, kicking everyone's ass when given the opportunity, but that didn’t mean that he didn’t lose it sometimes. And he was already raging when you arrived at him home, already have a spare key to his place. You tried to calmly talk him down out of his rage, keeping to the edge of the room as he kicked and punched furniture and walls as he marched around the room. His mood certainly wasn’t helped with the half of bottle of whiskey he had already consumed, having swallowed the glasses with one mouthful one after the other before answering the your previous phone call.
Your words were half-heard, the buzzing in his head taking preference as he cursed around the room, his blood pressure only rising when he thought back on that arrogant look Doyeong gave him, reminding him that the law was on his side, that Jaejun will never be able to call Yesol his daughter nor that Yesol will ever call his father. The fact that it was the truth, that even though the shared blood between him and Yesol means nothing, it made him so furious that he was ready to kill someone.
“...Jaejun, you know that I am on your side. You know that I will stand by you every way that you want to go.” He recalled your voice saying, someone near the edge of the room while continued to pace up and down. “You are her father, nothing changes that.”
“But Yesol will never know that until I tell her. Until I do, she keeps calling that motherfucker her dad when he isn’t!”  He kicked his coffee table hard, pain shooting through his toes but he hardly paid any mind to it because he was still so furious. He grabbed at his hair roughly, growling before he screamed out another curse and wildly slammed a punch to his armchair before pacing again. “She’s my fucking daughter! He can’t have her!”
“I know she is Jaejun, I know she is.”
“If I have to fucking drive down there and tell Yesol myself, then I will fucking do it! She will choose me over him! I am her real dad!”
The thought of doing the deed, the images of Yesol leaping into his arms in a tight hug while calling him dad made a ball of happiness and hope fill his chest, making a dent in his anger as he thought of the wonderful look of dismay which will cross that motherfuckers face when he realizes that he will no longer be called dad by Yesol.
Fuck it, he was gonna do it.
“-Jaejun, that isn’t a good idea.” He heard you say, your contradiction to his thoughts suddenly make that ball of hope disappear and be replaced with his anger. He whipped around and glared at you.
“What the fuck do you mean? She is my fucking daughter! She deserves to know who her real dad is!”
You flinched at his raised voice being directed at you, but you fixed him with a sympathetic look, your eyes genuine in emotion.
“Of course she does Jaejun, but she is young. You telling her the truth will only confuse her. As far as she knows, Doyeong is her dad, and you suddenly telling her that he isn’t will only hurt her.”
“I will never fucking hurt Yesol! Fucking never!” he screamed, insulted by you insinuating that he would do such a thing. With another curse, he turned around and started marching towards the door. “Fuck it, I’m going to tell her!”
“Wait, Jaejun don’t!” He heard you yell behind him, following after him with hurried steps as he headed towards the door and grabbed his car keys. “You’ve been drinking and you’re angry! Think this over tomorrow!”
“I don’t need to fucking think it over! I am going to tell her I’m her real dad!”
He reached for the front door, ready to leave, only to feel your hands on his arm, trying to pull him back.
“Jaejun please think this through! This won’t help Yesol, and if you go there and tell her the truth, it will only push her more into Doyeong’s arms and-”
It happened so quickly.
He was just so furious that you didn’t support him with his decisions, as well that you were trying to stop him, that he just dropped his keys and spun around with his other hand, his palm connected directly with your cheek, sending you flying to the floor with the powerful blow.
He didn’t even really remember doing it. Or rather, it felt like he was an outside observer to someone controlling his body when he did it. And now that the truth dawned on him, he just stared at your crumbled body in shock, his hand still sting from the blow.
The wool which was dangling in front of his eyes caused by the alcohol suddenly was lifted, sobering up really quickly as he watched you move so that you were kneeling, your hand cradling your face while you took shaky breaths to try control yourself, obviously trying to control the tears that were no doubt falling from your eyes.
“Y-Y/N...” He called out, horror slowly filling his veins as you continued to remain on the floor, not uttering a single thing aside from the pained gasp that broke past your lips when he struck you.
The saying of your name made your breaths freeze entirely, making Jaejun watch in frozen fear as you hastily stood up from the floor, your head bowed down as you turned around and tried to move past him, not saying a word. He immediately reached out to you.
“Y/N, wait-”
You flinched at his approaching hand, making him freeze from his actions as he stared wide-eyed at you, stunned like a deer-in-headlights that you would flinch at his approaching touch.
Only he understood why.
Instant regret filled him at your flinch, and you took the opportunity to hastily grab the door handle and open the door and retreated out of it, slamming it shut just as he rushed at it to follow you.
“Y/N! Wait!”
He immediately opened the door and rushed out of it just to make out your figure disappearing around the corner as you escaped from him, prompting Jaejun to immediately give chase, not wanting you to leave him like this. He had to apologize, he had to make you know that he didn’t mean it. But just as he managed to run outside,  he saw your car speeding out from the parking lot into the street, escaping him entirely and leaving him stone cold in his even more colorless world.

The twitches in her body were uncontrollable, curses leaving her lips every few minutes as she nibbled at her nails, tearing them down until they were almost exposing her nail beds, making her curse even more as she was unable to do anything else. The drip on her arm was hardly improving her mood at all, limiting her movements in the hospital bed that she has been chained to for the past few days.
Her father was adamant about getting her cleaned up, or rather to try clean up his reputation as much as he can since the police was sniffing around the church and other activities he has been conducting aside from daily services, Sara being nothing but extra goods which he is locking up to keep her out of sight.
Fuck, it pissed her off.
Hyejeong has been unbearable as usual, trying to act all high and mighty in front of her during visiting hours to the extent that Sara nearly threw her entire lunch tray at the bitch. Yeonjin and Jaejun have been no shows entirely, although to be honest she was quite glad because she was just about read to tear both of their faces off with all the shit they have started ever since that damn Moon Dongeun returned.
Her mother has visited her every single day, offering her prayers of recovery but each time her mother spoke, Sara just wanted to scream. Fuck, all of this could just be avoided if her parents will just let her leave the country again! But no, they have to be these hard-assed holier-than-thou parents suddenly wanting to be all responsible and prim, even though she knows they are everything but that.
Dammit, she was just so fucking pissed!
Probably the only thing that was keeping her from losing her damn sanity was you, visiting regularly whenever you could, always making sure to visit during the hours her mother and father’s weren’t there, as well as Hyejeong because she knew that she would rip that air hostess’s head off if she made a comment towards you and her during one of your visits. She has anxiously been waiting for your arrival, needing to have some sort of stability in this damn place before she completely lose her shit.
And just as she was contemplating ripping her drip out, consequences be damned, she was interrupted by the hospital door opening up and you stepping through it. Sara let out a sigh of relief.
“Thank fuck you’re here.” She said, grabbing you by the wrist and tugging you close to her once you got into close proximity, pressing hers lips to yours in a kiss.
But as she kissed you, she could feel something was wrong by the way you stood stiffly next to her bed, lips barely moving against hers. She pulled back to look at your face, eyebrows furrowed, and she noticed how downcast your eyes were, barely maintaining any eye contact. She squeezed your wrist, fingers flexing around your delicate delicate arm.
“What’s wrong?” She asked, her thumb subconsciously rubbing circles around your wrist bone in some sort of comforting manner, but it seemed her actions made your more anxious, your arm halfheartedly trying to tug itself from her grip but she wouldn’t let you. “What happened.”
“Sara...” you started, biting down your bottom lip as you paused your words, seemingly contemplating what to say next. And then you seemed to figure out your next phrase. “How...are you feeling?”
Sara immediately frowned at your questions, glancing at her lap and her bed before looking back at you with a slight sneer.
“How am I feeling? Shit, that’s what.” She hissed, letting go of your wrist to slam her hands against her bed mattress. “Fucking look at this Y/N. I am in hell! I mean fuck, the nurses are a pain in the ass and the doctors are even worse! Fuck, they look at me like I’m some pitying school girl! I’m not, I’m fucking not!”
Her blood boiled at the images of the doctors and nurses that she regularly sees, all having the same look as the other, pitying and at times disgusted. It pisses her off. They have no right to judge her. They have  no right to feel they are better than her in any other way. Fuck, they should just mind their damn business! She doesn’t even want to be here! She is being held captive by her own damn father, she should probably get one of her lawyers to sue him, fuck, that will teach him a lesson. And probably mess up his reputation even more.
The idea really seemed like a good idea and Sara started to smile at the prospect of it, but then a sudden chill hit her and her teeth rattled as her body twitched, breath catching in her throat as her body tried to re-stable itself. Your hands went out to touch her, grounding her by the hold on her shoulders as she broke out into a cold sweat, her hands gripping her bed sheets tightly as she trembled.
Dammit, she hated it when this happened.
Since she hasn’t had anything in her system in weeks, her body was trying to reconfigure itself, but it was absolute hell for Sara because she felt that she was conducting a sinful punishment handed to her by hell itself. Her hands were gripping her sheets so tightly that her knuckles were turning white and she felt like she was breathing through a test tube which was forced down her throat. Minutes felt like hours and when she eventually felt her body settling itself down, she couldn’t help but curse.
“Fuck I hate them! I hope they getting hit by a fucking bus!” She hisses, putting the wish into the universe with the hopes that it will carry it out. She felt your stiffen beside her, hand tightening for a moment before finally releasing her as you moved to stand in front of her bed.
“Don’t wish for something like that Sara. They are your parents.” You murmured, making Sara let out an empty chuckle.
“And what? That gives them the right to fucking throw me in here against my will! They are only acting like decent parents now because a fire has been lit under their ass. Dad is only trying to save face.”
“...That’s not true Sara.” You said, knitting your fingers together and rubbing your thumbs uncertainly. “They are worried about you. They want you to get better.”
A flash of irritation snipped through her mind, making Sara grit her teeth as she glared at her.
“Don’t give me that shit Y/N, they just fucking want to save face for the church. They don’t give a shit about me.”
“That’s not true Sara, if they didn’t care about you, they wouldn’t be trying to help you get...clean.”
You looked at her with an uncertain flash in your eyes, which immediately made her blood boil because it replicated the same looks as the doctors, nurses, and even her mother whenever they visited her. Her lips curled back and she bared her teeth like an animal, eyes burning in anger.
“You have been fucking speaking to my mother, haven’t you? She has tricked you into adopting her fucking stance, hasn’t she?”
Your eyes widened at her words, immediately making you shake your head as you reached out to her.
“Wait, no, Sara I am just saying-”
Sara slapped your hand away, lip curling further in anger as she pushed herself up to the head of her bed, pointedly ignoring your hiss of pain as you cradled your struck hand.
“I should have fucking known they would have gotten to you too! Fuck, you are supposed to be on my fucking side! You should be supporting me!”
You looked up from your struck hand, lips wobbling but your eyes suddenly resolute.
“I do support you Sara! But Sara...the drugs, they are eating away at you. You are becoming the shell of yourself, I’m worried about you. While it may be hard, I know that once you go through this, that we can-”
“FUCK OFF!” Sara screeched, grabbing her pillows and hurling them at you with so much force that the impact was loud as they hit your body. She then grabbed the glass and jug beside her table and hurled it at you, uncaring of the shattered remnants that flew across the wall and floor as you dodged them, backing away towards the side of the room as Sara went ballistic. “YOU CAN GO RIGHT TO HELL!”
“S-Sara please, c-calm down-”
“DON’T TELL ME TO FUCKING CALM DOWN!”
Sara grabbed whatever she could and threw it at you, screaming and cursing as fury filled every inch of her body. You, of all people, siding with her parents. That was the most absolute betrayal you could ever pull against her, and it made it furious. And it certainly didn’t help that her body was starting to go through one of its episodes again.
“Sara, please-”
“JUST LEAVE! JUST FUCKING LEAVE! I DON’T EVER WANT TO SEE YOUR FUCKING FACE AGAIN!’
She was so bloody angry, she was seeing red in everything in the hospital room, uncaring of how her arm was burning from the drip as she ripped her arm around. She heard the door of her room open and saw nurses rushing towards her, hands attempting to pin her down, which only infuriated her even more. She immediately tried fighting them off, hissing and biting at them like a wild animal.
“LET GO! LET ME FUCKING GO!”
“Miss Lee, please calm down-”
“DON’T FUCKING TELL ME TO CALM DOWN!”
Sara snarled and twisted about on the bed, trying to rip her body away from the nurses, barely paying attention to your lingering body as you slowly edged towards the exit, your eyes sad as you gazed at her. Feeling your gaze, she whipped her head in your direction, locking eyes with you as you shoulder your bag with wobbly lips, swallowing thickly as you attempted to keep your tears at bay.
“Goodbye Sara. I hope you recover from this.”
And then you were gone, and only after a few more weeks in hospital did Sara realize that it was for good.
Choi Hye-jeong
Tumblr media
“Let me go! Just let me go!”
You were fighting against her, trying to break free from her strong grip but Hyejeong held firm. There was no chance of her letting go until you heard her end of the story. To just understand where she is coming from.
“Y/N-”
“Just let me go already!” You screeched, renewed energy soaring through your body as you kept fighting, but Hyejeong tightened her grip even more.
“Just listen to me!”
“No! Because nothing you will say will ever make this any better.”
Hyejeong gritted her teeth and curled her chin over your shoulder to try keep you in place, squeezing her eyes shut as she tried to calm herself.
You knew just hard it was to live the life she wanted without the aid of her friends, even she could even call them that. All her life she has struggled, either it be socially and financially, and even though she makes her own money, it is only a matter of time before she will be replaced with a prettier, younger air hostess who will cater to all the needs of passengers. Taking over her parents business was out of the question, she already has taken social blows due to her association with them, so for her to inherit the business will be the entire end of her upstanding reputation.
Even though Jaejun is the dirtiest bastard she has ever known, he can provide her with a life which she knows her deserve, only expecting a few nights from her to cater to his manly needs and maybe give Yesol a sibling, but otherwise the two of them will be open to any other relationships without hurt feelings.
You and her didn’t need to separate...and yet you were adamant to leave her.
“It won’t mean anything Y/N! I promise it won’t mean anything!” She pleaded, digging her fingers in your body in attempt to reaffirm her grip, and yet your fighting body wiggled around furiously.
“How the hell will it mean nothing? You are going to become his wife Hyejeong! His wife!”
“He and I won’t do anything! We will just-”
“Please...as if that asshole will not want to do anything on his wedding night.” Finally finding some success, you managed to rip yourself out of Hyejeong’s arms and scurried away, raising a warning finger at Hyejeong as she attempted to close the distance between the two of again. “Don’t treat me like an idiot Hyejeong, cause I’m not.”
“I’m not trying to-”
“Bullshit,” you hissed, “You would much rather marry a bastard like Jaejun than even try have a life with me.”
“That’s not true Y/N!” Hyejeong exclaimed, horror shooting through as you spoke, scurrying towards you to pull you into her arms again, only for you to match her footsteps and to keep the distance between the two of you. “You know that I love you! I love you so fucking much it scares me!”
You let out an empty laugh.
“Scares you so much that you run into the arms of someone else.”
“Y/N, you have to see it from my point of view!” Hyejeong screeched, hands suddenly rushing to her hair to tug at it furiously before throwing her hand in the air. “I have nothing to make something decent for myself. My parents own a damn laundry cleaning service and it will only be a matter of time before I can no longer air hostess! I need Jaejun to help me to maintain...well, this!”
Hyejeong indicated towards the room, pointing out the luxurious items that she has managed to afford and gather, either by herself or given to her by one of the others. But instead of adopting a more unstable expression, your face became more thunderous.
“So in the end, it is all about money. I am not even surprised, that is all you care about.” You growled, shaking your head. Hyejeong tightened her hands into fists.
“Y/N, without money, I’,-”
“You. And to me, you are enough. And yet it seems I am not for you, cause I wasn’t born with a damn golden spoon in my mouth.” You shook your head and moved across the room to grab your bag. “But I guess that is it then.”
Hyejeong immediately shook her head and hurried after you, grabbing you by the elbow before you could pull away entirely.
“Y/N, you and I can still-”
“Let me stop you right there.” You snapped, ripping your elbow out of Hyejeong’s grip, glaring at her. “There is no way I am going to become some sidepiece to you while you are happy wife to that bastard!”
“I don’t love him Y/N!” Hyejeong suddenly snapped, tossing all caution out the window as she grabbed you by the shoulders, looking at your earnestly while panic started building up in her throat. “You are the one I love! You are the one who matters the most to me! Jaejun is just-”
“Going to marry you. Call you his wife, and have you raise his child. And me?” You grabbed at Hyejeong’s wrists, squeezing them angrily with your own death grip that Hyejeong flinched at the instant pain you began to cause. “And you expect me to wait around at home like some good little lapdog, wagging my tail when you decide to give me the time of day once you finish doing your wifely duties? Not a chance in hell Hyejeong.”
You ripped her hands off of you and began marching for the front door, only to be pulled back by Hyejeong again, the air hostess refusing to simply accept you wanting to leave her. She has already said that the two of you could still be together, that she and Jaejun will only be wife and husband in name, albeit with some exceptions.
But she wanted you. Of course she wanted you. And her marrying Jaejun does not change that. Why can’t you just see how important it was for her to maintain the lifestyle she has had until now?!
“You can’t just leave me Y/N! Think about everything we have been through together!”
You paused in your footsteps and then turned to look at her with a sarcastic smirk, shaking her head.
“Are you seriously trying to pull that card right now in this discussion. Hyejeong, out of the two of us, you are the one who has not considered the fact we have been through a lot together. In the end, you are just a selfish bitch who is content to stay a gold digger for the rest of her life.”
Hyejeong couldn’t help but gasp in shock at your words, never having heard them from your lips before. Sure, she has heard it from Yeonjin, Sara, and many others, but you...you have never used the same labels as the others before. And the fact that you are using them now just sends unshakable pain to her heart, as well as fury.
“Y/N, you-”
“Let me put it this way Hyejeong,” You said, pulling your arm out of her grip again and turning fully to face her, a cutting glint in your eye. “If I was the one marrying Jaejun, would you even bother staying by my side as number 2?”
You didn’t even bother to hear you answer as you turned around and stormed out, slamming the door hard behind you, its slam echoing through her house while Hyejeong lowered herself to her knees, numbness flowing through her entire body, rendering motionless as you words repeated themselves in her head in an indefinite loop.

Moon Dong-eun
Tumblr media
The icy bite of the wind completely seeped itself deep within Dongeun’s body as she remained tied to the school chair in one of the side courts of the school, one of the school gym ropes tied tightly around her arms and legs while the rain poured down on her body, her bullies long abandoning her hours ago, leaving her to freeze in the freezing rain.
Even though it was fruitless, Dongeun couldn’t stop the tears running down her cheeks, nor the sobs which were wracking themselves out of her throat. She had heard somewhere that crying can serve as some sense of stress reliever, and yet she felt no sense of relief as she continued to cry. She did not feel any relief when Jaejun and Myeong-oh dragged her outside and tied her to one of the school chairs they snatched out of the school hall, nor did she feel any relief when Sara and Hyejeong snapped photos and messed around with her with the metal rulers which had become a popular classroom tool among High school students. And of course, Yeonjin watched the whole ordeal, smiling serenely, her eyes darkening in sadistic delight as she took in Dongeun’s suffering.
Even though she had no reason to believe that any of them has any good in them, she had the minuscule hope that they would release her after their fun in the rain, an action they would usually take after one of their ‘play sessions’ in the hall, but she was denied that small kindness today. All of them had flashed her delighted smiles before turning their backs and leaving her alone, conversations about getting some food breaking the previous silence which had contained the echoes of Dongeun’s cries, providing Dongeun with the peace of no more pain but also the promise of a freezing cold night with wet clothes and stinging wounds.
Her wet clothes felt like an extra layer of skin to her body, but instead of providing her protection and warmth, her clothes only serve as a dark reminder of the further suffering she will potentially have tomorrow if the quintet decided to return to her. She can only hope a member of staff will find her before Yeonjin and the others, them being the only ones to save Dongeun from her situation, and yet the past has proved the teachers of being just as bad as quintet.
She just felt so hopeless, and cold, and alone.
Her sobs suddenly ripped themselves out more roughly from Dongeun’s throat, her tears almsot feeling like boiling acid as they streamed down her cheeks, her body shaking while the rain pelted down on her. A strong gust of wind traveled through the courtyard and stabbing cold went through Dongeun’s clothes and body, making her hurl another sob as she attempted to press her limbs together to try gain some warmth, only to meet resistance from the rope. She was certain that she was going to be spending the even there, her head ducked in defeat and her ears blown out from the freeing cold that she did not realize that her name had been called.
“...Dongeun? Dongeun!”
Dongeun raised her head slowly at the sound of her name, intimidating fear overwhelming her as she feared to see who had come to see her in this state. She already pictured Yeonjin appearing to continue a more one-on-one play session which did not include her friends, but then she was pleasantly surprised to see you hurrying towards her with an umbrella in hand, your school bag being left on the floor under the school outside corridor shelter. Your eyes were wide in shock and horror as you eventually reached her, immediately sheltering from the rain with your umbrella over her head.
“Dongeun...what...why...w-who...”
Both of you knew better than to ask the last question as you both already knew the answer. It was hardly a secret within the school that Dongeun was the property of Yeonjin and the others in the terms of being their favorite form of entertainment. Dongeun had always hoped, or prayed, that someone would be able to stand up to the quintet and to help her out of her situation, but she knew that it was hopeless. Yeonjin practically ruled the school and literally could get away with anything, even murder, and no one will ever choose the side of a nobody like her.
And that thought brought a new set of tears and sobs from her, immediately startling you as you dropped the umbrella, immediately allowing the rain to pelt down on her.
“S-Sorry, just...I...just hold on!”
Dongeun watched with blurry vision as you immediately knelt down in front of her and got to work to untie her legs from the school chair, your eyebrows furrowed in rushed concentration as your hands tried to undo the tight knots which Jaejun and Myeong-oh. Your face screwed up in frustration as you struggled with the tight knots, cursing at times while wiping at your face as the rain poured down on the both of you. But a small sense of relief did finally was over her when you managed to get one of her legs free, immediately moving to untie her other leg, the blood rushing through her free one, which provoked some numbness and slight pain but for once it was the kind of pain Dongeun did not mind because it was better than being stuck in that position.
You managed to free her other leg, allowing Dongeun to finally press her legs together to gain some personal warmth, before standing up and moving to untie her arms which were still in rope confines. Once you eventually managed to untie both arms, Dongeun immediately cradled herself in a hug, trembling as she attempted to warm herself up, the blood rushing back to her arms while the rain continued to pour down on her. But then you reached for your umbrella and brought it above your heads again, your own body as soaked at Dongeun’s.
“...Are you okay?”
Even though you probably knew it was a stupid question, it was something that somewhat made feel Dongeun feel slightly noticed, or cared for in some kind of way. No one ever asked if she was okay, or if she was even alive, she was practically a walking corpse within a living school, only a corpse would be offered the peace she could only dream of. She shook her head, her teeth chattering together as she continued to try warmth herself up.
“Um...” You started out, glancing around the courtyard in slightly thought and caution before turning to face Dongeun, her face already lifted to gaze at you. “Do you...have a ride home?”
Dongeun immediately shook her head. She only got to school by walking, and in this freezing rain, she knew it was going to be a long and wet journey home. She thought that the session with Yeonjin and the others was suffering enough, but almost anyone could agree with the horrid experience of walking in the Winter cold rain was a punishment that only the most evil deserved. And between herself and Yeonjin, she doesn’t believe she is the deserving one for such an experience.
“...want to come to my house?”
Dongeun snapped her head up in shock, so fast that she felt her neck crack, your eyes widening at the sound of it. Despite helping her, Dongeun immediately felt herself curl up defensively in the chair, her arms protectively crossed over her chest as if she was readying herself to be tossed to the floor for a beating. Her body was trained for it, and it has practically become her second nature as of late to be prepared for a sudden attack. But your eyes immediately softened at her obviously cautious stance, water drops falling from your hair in front of your face as you shook your head slightly.
“It’s just...its not to be weird or anything. It’s raining, dark and...I just think you need a place to get warm and stuff. I...I promise I won’t do anything! I, I just want to help, that’s all.”
... Dongeun wasn’t used to help, or kindness, and your concerned tone sounded as foreign as a foreign language to her. The answer ‘no’ was practically on her lips, it being an answer she always says and yet is never accepted. The times she has begged the answer, screamed it, and yet it went as unanswered as her not saying it at all. Her lips were trembling, along with her entire body, and the rain had done a good enough job to numb her entirely, and yet you stared at her with such worry that it make some sort of shift within her.
“...I don’t want to bother-”
“You won’t be bothering me at all! I just...I want to help you Dongeun. Please...let me?” You sounded unsure towards the end of the sentence, but she noticed you tighten your grip around your umbrella handle, a slightly hopeful look flashing in your eyes as you continued to gaze at her. She noticed your eyes glance down at her body but then you immediately looked up to look at her face, your bottom lip getting slightly chewed on but your eyes still expressing genuine concern. “It can be a secret if you want. It’s just...I want to help you. Please can I help you?”
...
She nodded.
You let out a slightly sigh of relief before you offered a hand out to her, gazing at her softly. Dongeun stared at it for a few moments before hesitantly reaching out for it, your fingers curling around her hand as you gently pulled her out from the chair. Your hand was warm.
“Let’s go then.” You said, giving her hand a slightly squeeze before pulling away and guiding her with the umbrella towards your fallen bag, some of the contents having fallen out of it from your hurry to save her from the rain.
Park Yeon-jin
Tumblr media
Her cheek was hot. And stinging.
The sound of the door slamming still echoed in the living room after her mother removed herself from Yeonjin’s presence. She most likely was going to have some sort of praying session with that Shaman, her mother becoming involved as a member of a cult would, her entire devotion become a drilling pain in Yeonjin’s side, especially when her mother believed it was necessary to join in some of the sessions with the Shaman. But it seemed she was spared for today, spiritually wise that is.
Her mother did not often lay a hand on her, at most, she only probably have struck Yeonjin about three times in her life, which was probably why it was such a shock to her right now. Her head had nearly practically twisted off her head from the force her mother had used with the slap, the sound of skin hitting skin ingrained in Yoonjin’s head, along with the hot pain that came with it. Yeonjin slowly lifted her hand to cup her cheek, pressure building behind her eyes as she stared at the close front door, almost waiting for her mother to reappear and to deliver another blow to her pristine face.
Although she couldn’t say it was pristine right now, the struck skin still throbbing from the slap.
But thoughts of you preventing her from waiting for too long. She had left you in her room to grab some snacks for the two of you, only to be intercepted by her mother along the way to the kitchen. She doesn’t even really understand why her mother was mad in the first place. Whenever her mother was angry, she always seemed to speak in riddles; albeit she did recall her mentioning something about her behavior at the Church, Sara’s mother having called her mother after the service. She didn’t understand why it was a big deal, it was just something fun and stupid she did with Hyejeong and you, albeit you didn’t participate because you didn’t want to, nor did Yeonjin allow you to.
Even though your chest was fantastic, it was only reserved for her, not for some creepy churchgoer who tries to act like a conservative and holy saint. The two of you came back to her home afterwards, Yeonjin wanting the private time with you, but it seemed to be too much to ask since her mother attacked her out of nowhere.
As of late, like Sara’s fathers newly devoted followers, her mother has become hysterical with her beliefs linked to the Shaman and she has become a lot more...direct in a sense with Yeonjin. Sure, she has messed up a bit, but that it what teenagers do. Her mother wanted her, and so she must help clean up her messes. She signed up for it while wanting to be a parent, so she must stick it out for Yeonjin. But still...it did not mean that sudden actions like slapping her didn’t shock her.
No one ever dared to hit Yeonjin, not even mother, and yet in the past few months, Yeonjin has become the sudden recipient of them, along with some venomous worlds which would make a vipers bite seem durable.
You were probably waiting for her, that thought being the only reason she did not allow the pressure behind her eyes to increase. She instead silently walked to the kitchen, grabbed some snacks, and then walked back to her bedroom, the door slightly ajar with soft music trickling out of it. Yeonjin took a small moment to smooth out her expression before pushing past the door and into her room, her eyes immediately moving to your figure on her bed, your legs kicking behind you as you watched a music video on your phone as you laid on your stomach.
You were dressed in a pair of silk pajamas she had bought for you, your legs and arms exposed due to the short length of the shirt and shorts which coincidentally matched the white colour of Yeonjin’s pajamas. You had previously pointed out the matching colors, but Yeonjin always shut it down. It was just a coincidence, that was all, and she was not saying anything else about it despite integrally knowing the intention behind the purchase. She liked your legs, especially your bare legs, so that’s why she got them. And walking into her bedroom, your legs was the first thing that her eyes traveled to, only shifting to your face when she noticed you turned your head to look at her.
“...Jinnie?” You called out, your eyebrows furrowed in slight concern as Yeonjin stood in the doorway. Yeonjin immediately stepped closer in the room and kicked the door shut.
“Don’t call me that.” She ordered, walking towards the bed and dumping the snacks on top of it. “Mess on my bed and I’ll kill you.”
Even though her words were vicious, there was no real poison behind them, something which only you could recognize at times. When the two of you were in public, Yeonjin was the way she always was: superior, extraordinary, and pristine. No one dared to contradict or oppose her. Her entire friend group were wary of her, even Sara and Jaejun, her two closest friends. Myeong-oh wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between a Gucci or Chanel and Hyejeong was just a loss cause altogether. But you on the other hand, despite being a new asset to her, you were about the only one to have some deeper level of understanding to her.
Even though she just snapped at you, her words took almost no effect on you. Instead of ducking your head down and submitting to her demands, you instead moved so that you were on your knees on the mattress, your entire body facing Yeonjin as she took a seat beside you, pointedly keeping her injured cheek away from you, keeping her gaze down, an action which was very unlike her. Neither of you said anything, Yeonjin busying herself by grabbing one of the packets of snacks and opening it, ignoring your movements until she suddenly felt your fingertips on her chin.
She could have easily fought against your fingers, even turn and snap at them like some wild animal, always being a biter, and yet she did not do anything as you moved her face until she was facing you, your eyes immediately zeroing on her cheek. Even though the throbbing had subsided, Yeonjin could feel the swollen skin created by the strike, her cheek no doubt forming a red hand print, proof of her mother’s presence on her face. Your fingertips on her chin moved until they were gliding along her cheek, Yeonjin flinching at the action.
“Jinnie...” You whispered, your eyes moving to lock with Yeonjin’s dark ones, concern and sympathy in your eyes while your fingertips trailed along her cheek until your entire palm was cradling it, your thumb tracing her cheekbone with tender strokes.
She didn’t say anything, she simply stared at you silently, trying her best to hide her true feelings but with your tender expression, Yeonjin was unable to resist the pressure building up behind her eyes. And when you leaned in and pressed a soft kiss to her injured cheek, she was unable to keep the gates closed as tears began to escape her eyes. You no doubt felt it against your hand, and tasted the saltiness of her tears as you pressed a second kiss to her cheek, but you did not say anything as you instead moved so that you were hugging her, your hand on her cheek guiding her face to your neck where she immediately nuzzled.
Like a python, her arms wrapped around your waist in a deadly grip, her tears unable to catch up to one another despite running down her cheeks like a waterfall. While she usually was the one that held you in such embraces, she couldn’t help but melt into your arms as you comforted her, a hand tangling itself into her hair and massaging her scalp while your other hand was wrapped around her back, subtly rubbing her back as she cried into your neck.
Yeonjin hated crying. Crying meant weakness and that was one thing that Yeonjin certainly did not posses. She was Park Yeonjin. She was untouchable. She was feared and respected, an object of envy, and yet she was all but a whimpering fool in your arms. She hated it, and yet, with you, it was something that she was perhaps open to because she knew that you would never tattle about this situation for two reasons. The first being that no one will believe it and that Yeonjin will immediately exact revenge on you, but the second reason being the fact that you knew that bubbles like this was rare between you and Yeonjin.
Despite everything  that has happened between the two of you, neither of you could resist the presence of the other. Moments like this was yearned for, and neither of you could deny the dynamics between the two of you. It was twisted and complicated, and yet so delectable. Yeonjin could be broken apart in front of you in privacy, same as you, and it was something which only the two of you were aware of. Walls were in place for a reason, to protect the truth of the two of you, most notably the truth of Yeonjin.
Jeon Jae-jun
Tumblr media
Jaejun hated reminders, most notably the reminders of his condition.
While school has always been a pain to Jaejun, it had been a relatively okay day for him so far. He met with Myeong-oh, managed to let go of some tension in gym class, got a good grade for last weeks English test, and of course managed to have a hot make out session with you during lunch on the roof. But it was during the self-study lesson did the whole day go to hell when one of his idiot classmates made a comment about your eyes, most notably about the colour of your eyes which Jaejun was unable to see.
It was not like he asked for it. If he had any kind of choice, he obviously would take on the chance to be able to see colour, no matter the situation. Despite his parents able to buy him anything, they couldn’t get him the one thing that he wanted, and the fact that everyone else know about it infuriated him. But nothing infuriated him more than people rubbing it in his face, most particularly when he was with you, the one person who was probably the one person he valued in this hellhole.
He heard your voice screaming at him, begging him to stop as he rained punched on his classmate, but it practically became a buzzing noise as he kept punching. Myeong-oh had managed to pull him off at first, but then Jaejun swung and delivered a punch to his face before diving back on top of the idiot, unaffected by the bloody mess which he had already created on the idiot’s face. He just kept punching, punching, and punching until he eventually was pulled off by four of his classmates.
“Get off me! Get the fuck off me!”
He managed to wrestle his way out of his classmates hands, his eyes remaining on the bloody asshole on the floor. His eyes were closed and his face almost looked unrecognizable, but he didn’t care. He could be dead but it hardly made Jaejun feel any better as shame and anger was still swirling within him like a storm at sea. Everyone else in class simply stared at the scene in shock and silence, no one daring to say anything in fear of Jaejun’s reaction, and with the way he was feeling, he was about ready to pounce on anyone who ever dared to say anything.
“Jaejun!”
...anyone except you.
You had reached out to him but Jaejun did not allow you a chance to touch him as he swiped your hand away and then stormed out of the classroom, his lips tightly retracted form his teeth as he bared them like a wolf, cursing constantly under his breath as he stormed down the corridor, students from the other classrooms peaking out to watch him only to duck their heads back inside when he made eye contact with him.
Good, because he was close to ripping one of their damn heads off.
He heard footsteps behind him, along with his name getting called, but Jaejun did not react as he continued his journey through the corridor, his body walking its trained journey to the roof, the only place where he could think without the hindrance of others, well, except you. But you were never a hindrance to him, not even when he was angry, which was probably the reason why he didn’t turn around and slam you to the floor like he would to anyone else if they were following him in this state.
Your footsteps echoed with his as the two of you climbed the stairwell and eventually walked onto the school roof, the sun and sky greeting the two of you. When Jaejun heard the door close, that was when he finally unleashed his fury in the form of words.
“That fucking bastard!” he screamed, swinging his fists in the air as he cursed. “He fucking thinks that he can say things like that to me? Fuck him! Fuck him! Fuck him!”
Jaejun twisted on the spot and kept pacing, his fists raining punches through the air, his vision blurred and buzzing as he continued to curse. His body was tight with fury, his teeth grinding together so tightly that he wouldn’t be surprised if they cracked under pressure. He twisted wildly on the spot, kicking the roof floor as he continued to pace and stomp. He noticed movement from the corner of his eye, your hair moving as you started walking towards him, a hand reaching out.
“Jaejun-”
“I know what colour your eyes are! They are bright! They’re gorgeous! That’s all I fucking need to know!”
Jaejun swung around and delivered a hard punch to his other hand, pain immediately throbbing from the strike but he did not care. His mind was just consumed with the mocking tone of his classmate when he had asked what colour your eyes were, fully knowing that Jaejun could not be precisely sure of it. He delivered another punch to his hand, and then another and another until it was not only pain that he was feeling in his hand but in his face too as tears began to escape as he continued to punch the air and himself.
And then he felt you wrap your arms around him. Your arms were feeble, a weak restraint that he could easily break out of, but when he felt them around himself, he couldn’t help but crumble on the spot. He dropped to his knees, let out a frustrated sob while he tightened his hands into fists, tears escaping his eyes while he felt you fall to the floor with him. You pressed yourself against his back, your face going into his neck while your hold on him only tightened, fingers flexing as your pressed your fingertips into his abdomen.
You didn’t say anything as he began to cry, only nuzzling his neck and pressing an odd kiss to his neck while he crumbled apart in front of you. He hated the fact that he had this damn condition. For his parents always claiming that he was perfection, he hardly felt he was perfect due to his colour blindness. He couldn’t even gift shopping on his own because he needed help to identify the colours. He could never just surprise you with a gift, or give his opinion about an outfit whenever the two of you did go out together. He could just comment on the outfit’s effect on your body lines, but not on your complexion, hair or face.
He was useless. He felt useless, and it did not help that others could see it from afar.
He moved in your arms, turning around on his knees until he was facing you, his hands immediately moving to cradle your face in his hands, your skin soft against his palm, eyes staring into his very soul. He swallowed thickly, tears still trailing down his cheeks as he continued to stare at you, his thumbs tracing your delicate cheekbones.
“You’re eyes are pretty. I love your eyes.”
Your eyes were always the most expressive part of you. He loved your eyes because they always told him what exactly you were feeling. Fear, worry, love...he loved being able to read you so easily. And seeing the trepidation in them, it just made his gut twist up painfully in a knot. He brought your head closer to his, pulling you close enough to rest his forehead against yours, his eyes closing as he tried to regain control over himself, your touch helping him in some sense.
“Your eyes are everything to me.”
“Jaejun-”
“Just...stay quiet.”
He needed silence. He needed to breathe. He just needed you to stay where you were in the moment. He will get over it, just...in a moment.

Sara never has been someone to plan very long-term, but even she could admit that she should have planned this out better, especially since she had been avoiding your for so long.
She couldn’t even say that it was your fault because it wasn’t, but it was her pride and mind which kept blaming you because she didn’t want to blame herself. She was the one who kissed you, not the other way round. She was the one which had pushed you onto her studio couch and pressed her lips to yours in a messy kiss. Sure, she was high, but it didn’t mean that she didn’t feel anything in the kiss. No, the weed had made the experience even better. It compared to the damn movie comparisons about first kisses, fireworks and shit, and Sara realized that you had become her new bad habit. She had just started experimenting with weed, her and Myeong-oh smoking it together, but your lips simply tasted so divine that it could easily be the replacement.
You were so intoxicating. Even before she pulled you into her group, you already were such an enigma to her, even though you were regarded to be so plain. You were anything but that to her. She could not understand why, but her heart always fluttered whenever she saw you in the school corridors and whenever she had you pinned against a wall, desk, or any flat surface, she simply felt so hot that she felt for certain that a fire was igniting itself on her skin. Sara was not a stranger to obsession, specially since she could easily be taken away by inspiration into a vortex of art and painting, but she found her new obsession with you becoming eerily similar to the obsession that Yeonjin had with a certain Moon Dongeun.
Sara was possessive over you, like how Yeonjin was possessive over Dongeun, but instead of allowing others to inflict pain on you, she preferred inflicting a different kind of pain on you, one which consisted of her own touches and lips. She liked touching and squeezing your skin, watching the different reactions she got out of you. Pain, pleasure, and then a mixture of both. She enjoyed trailing her lips along your skin, making goosebumps in her wake, enticing her to bite at your skin, a mixture of pain and pleasure escaping your lips when she marked your skin.
She enjoyed touching you. She enjoyed tasting you. And since the last three works, she has enjoyed kissing you.
And it has been tormenting her ever since.
With her religious bringing and her father’s growth in religious following and his preaching, Sara has always been aware of the traditional ideas of relationships and did not expect herself to go against everything that she has been taught. She was to date boys and marry a man, have children and be a good wife, and she had fully committed herself to such a future; albeit with some twists of her own in terms of her interest in art. She was in no rush to commit herself to a man, enjoying her young life while she still can, but she was aware of the path she was expected to take.
And then she met you and everything went to hell.
She simply thought she liked you as Yeonjin like Dongeun. You entertained her and she didn’t want to get rid of her favorite toy; hence why she kept you. But since kissing you, she realized that she liked you in a way which she should only feel towards boys. She has dated before, she has kissed plenty of guys, but all of them faded into the background since kissing you. Your lips were smooth, soft, and perfectly fitted with hers. Your lips were intoxicating. She could spend hours kissing them and she practically did that night she pinned you down on her studio couch, but afterwards, a bitter ball had formed in her stomach and she had been unable to look at you ever since.
She liked it. No, she loved it. She loved kissing you, but she shouldn't love kissing you. It went against what she was brought up with, and when she had attempted broaching the topic with her parents during dinner, without actually confessing what happened between the two of you, she was immediately met with a horrified and fiery reaction. Her father immediately began to preach about the Bible, about its sayings between man and woman, while her mother simply nodded in agreement, not saying anything that contradicted her father. They then of course began to demand answers from Sara, demanding to know why she had such thoughts in her mind and where they had come from. She eventually managed to get them off her back without too much trouble; albeit with the demand to attend more of her father’s nightly services, but her parents opinions towards the matter had made her even more confused with herself.
She had been avoiding you since that night, and entire time she was separated from you, she felt as if she was in the burning inferno of hell. You had become a constant figure in her life, to the extent that her parents had asked why you were no longer attending her father’s services or coming by the house anymore. They believed that the two of you were best friends, but they were so unaware of the complicated dynamics between the two of you, which was a good thing because she could already predict her parents reactions if they found out the intimacies of your relationship with one another.
Sara even stopping forcing you along to her group session with Yeonjin and the others, which was immediately noticed by her friends. Jaejun did not care much, but Hyejeong couldn’t keep her damn mouth shut about the possible reasons why you were no longer with them. Yeonjin only listened to Hyejeong in mild interest, but she her eyes did glint whenever Sara got annoyed with Hyejeong’s damn mouth and shut her up with a rough push to the floor. She hated it when Hyejeong spouted dumb shit about you, and she practically decked Myeong-oh in the face whenever he made a remark about your body, blood immediately spouting out of his nose after Sara’s hand throbbed in pain. It was only when they decided to go home did Yeonjin whisper advice into her ear.
“To make things better for all us, just bring back your bitch and shut up about it. You’re being a fucking pain in the ass.”
Eloquent as ever, but Yeonjin’s words remained in her head for another week, marking one month since she first kissed you, eventually being the trigger to push her to travel all the way to your house in the middle of the night in the pouring rain. Your parents weren’t home, she knew this because she had overhead you speaking to one of your classmates about them leaving, for another business trip, leaving the you to the house on your own, which became a blessing in disguise because it meant that there would only be you who she would have to face.
Sara did not understand herself, not her thoughts or her heart, but she knew that both called for you, which was sign that you needed to be a part of her life. Her confusion over her feelings for you were stressful and tiring, it taking a toll on her as she had been unable to sleep properly ever since the kiss, but standing in front of your front door in the pouring rain, her body jumping from the nerves, it had more of an effect on her than she thought. And when she heard your voice on the front door intercom, a pressure behind her eyes and her throat suddenly built up, almost making it difficult to speak as she looked up at your front door camera.
“C-Come out here!” She demanded, her hands tightening into fists as she started to lose her nerve, the cold air biting at her body due to her thin clothes.
You didn’t respond to her words, a few moments going by without another word, but then she heard unlocking sounds behind the door, the noise immediately sparking more nerves in her body, which contributed to the panic she felt in her throat as the door eventually opened and revealed you dressed in some night clothes, hair slightly ruffled from sleep.
...
She couldn’t hold herself back. She all but threw herself at you, the force of her body making you stumble back into your force. You let out a gasp of surprise from the sudden force into your body, but then you squeaked when Sara’s lips pressed themselves against yours, a different sound leaving Sara as she kissed you again after a month of being separated.
She didn’t know that kissing you was going to be like a switch, but suddenly, she felt tears escaping her eyes. As her lips enveloped yours, whimpers escaped her lips, tears breaking out and trailing down her cheeks and onto yours, her hands gripping your cheeks tightly as she kept you in place. You were completely shocked, your hands frozen midair while Sara kissed you, but your lips...they moved with Sara’s.
Just as they did the night the two of you first kissed, after a few moments, your lips moved with hers in a rhythm only the two of you understood. Your lips fitted perfectly with hers and eventually your hands lowered themselves so that they were holding onto her waist, the touch sparking warmth in Sara’s body which prompted her to tighten her grips on your cheeks, her lips seeking out yours even though her lungs were begging for air. Only when she felt she was going to pass out from the lack of air did she finally separate from you, her tear-filled eyes staring at your still closed eyes, her hands trembling as she continued to hold you.
“...You’re mine.” Was all she could say, because even though she was beyond confused with herself and her feelings for you, she just knew that she wanted you. You had become something that she craved and could never tire of, you were her obsession and bad habit. You were hers, the foundation of everything stemmed from that one fact.
You were hers, and nothing else.
“S-Sara-”
“Say it.” She demanded, her forehead pressed against yours while she held you in place. “Say it now.”
“S-Sara-”
“Say it now, or I will make your life hell.”
“Y-you already-”
“You are driving me insane.” She hissed, her body pushing against yours until she had you pressed against the wall, a position she has grown to love ever since she had taken an interest in you. “Say that you are mine, otherwise I will do things to you which will ruin you.”
“...is that a threat or a promise?” You quipped, your eyes locked with hers and yet your head ducked submissively, the usual position you take when Sara pins you down. And despite her tears, Sara smiled. She moved her thumb to trace your bottom lip, threatening it with her nail.
“What do you think?”
“...I’m yours.”
“Good girl.”
And then she kissed you again, more passionately this time, and more claiming.
Choi Hye-jeong
Tumblr media
There was nothing more that Hyejeong wanted to do but to chase after you, but she couldn’t, not right now with everyone watching. Yeonjin and the others all laughed sadistically at your reaction, your tears serving as a source of humor to them, your running away sending them into hysterics because there was nothing more entertaining to them than the defeat and brokenness of others. Hyejeong was extremely experienced with pain, even though she hardly had much physical pain inflicted on her by the group, but she knew how poisonous the group could be, especially towards those they decided to use as their source of entertainment.
It was not often Hyejeong had to prove herself to the group since she was already a part of them, but lately Yeonjin and Sara had been ganging up on her to assert herself more in the group, well, that is asserting herself over their entertainment. Both the girls and the boys had teased the fact that Hyejeong was the weak link out of all of them due to her lower social status and lack of real power in the school and the group. Yeonjin was obviously the highest out of all of them, followed by Jaejun and Sara, leaving Myeong-oh and Hyejeong to scrape the bottom of the barrel. But despite the both of them being the same social class, Hyejeong had to admit that Myeong-oh was ranked higher than her simply because of his friendship with Jaejun and the fact that he was a guy, and so she had to prove herself more than he did in order to avoid being dropped in the group.
Hyejeong did not have any real power within the group, which is why she had to become more ruthless in the company of their toys, that of which consisted of you. Dongeun dodged the bullet by dropping out, which left you to take the brunt of everything in the group. But despite of everything, the two of you managed to form some kind of...attachment despite the circumstances. Hyejeong was not the same when she was with you privately. Her more genuine side came out, her more humane side, the side which is squashed each time she is in the company of Yeonjin and the others.
You knew that Hyejeong hated the group as much as the others and yet she could not help but cling herself to them. They were everything that she wanted to be. They were rich, prestigious and powerful. None of them understood the pain of struggling or to stress over the possibilities of paying rent or making enough money. None of them understood the daily struggles of the common folk, if they did, they would never last because they would be unused to the struggles which were so common to people like you and Hyejeong.
But to make it in the cold cruel world, one needed connections, and the only connections which Hyejeong was able to make was through Yeonjin and the others, and unfortunately, connections came to the cost of personal relationships like you and her.
She will admit that she had gone too far with you, even though she did not lay a hand on you. Despite her difference in social class with the others, one thing which Hyejeong has always been able to protect herself with was her mouth. She knew exactly what to say to cut people down to their knees, and she used that exact talent on you in the middle of class, all classmate being present to her complete destruction of your dignity. Yeonjin and the others found it hilarious, along with the rest of the class, but Hyejeong instantly felt guilt the second she crossed the line.
You had run away and didn’t appear for the next two periods, something which Hyejeong immediately noticed but pretended not to care. No one else noticed your absence, and when lunch time came, your complete humiliation all but became a thing of the past, something was both horrifying and sickening in the school, and yet no one were able to escape such a thing from occurring. It was dog eat dog in this school, and you were someone who unfortunately was getting eaten by the bigger dog, that dog being Hyejeong.
Eventually Hyejeong could not take it anymore. She needed to see you. She managed to pardon herself from her friend group and immediately sought out for you, trying her best to keep her emotions in check as she searched for every possible place you could be. When she eventually heard your sobs from the school roof, did her stomach make a twist. Hyejeong knew that you were upset, but seeing you cry was always the worst sight for her, and knowing that she was the reason made the twisted feeling even worse.
“Y/N...” She called out, closing the roof door behind her and locking it for good measure to make sure no one else would enter the roof area, giving the two of you absolute privacy.
“...Go away.” you snapped, your back facing you as you cowered against the roof building wall, not allowing Hyejeong a glance of your crying face.
“Y/N...” She said again, taking a step towards you, only to freeze when you raised your voice.
“Go away!”
You were a quiet person, something which had drawn you to the group in the first place. Naturally submissive, but you did at times show some fire, such as now, something which always surprised Hyejeong because she was so used to seeing your weaker side. But it seemed when Hyejeong was on her own, she would not be presented the side, not when she did not have the backup of the others.
“Y/N, I-”
“I don’t want to hear it Hyejeong.” You said, your head shaking as you raised it from its position of resting on top of your knees. “Just leave me alone.”
“Y/N, I didn’t have a choice, you have to know that I-”
“You did have a choice. You always have a choice, but you choose to hurt me instead of the others. Every time, you don’t choose me.”
You turned your head to face her, your face red and puffy from crying. The sight immediately punched Hyejeong in the gut, the young woman feeling a pressure build up in her throat as she continued to look at you, your words hitting her like daggers to a wooden wall.
“Y/N...I’m sorry, I-I didn’t mean it. You have to know that.”
You scoffed.
“Sure Hyejeong.”
“I’m serious, I-”
“It doesn’t matter if it is serious. You knew exactly what to say to get me down. You knew exactly what to say to hit me where it hurts. And I can’t forgive you for it. Not for that.”
Even though she knew that it would be hard to make you forgive her...it hurt to hear that, to the extent that she felt pressure building up behind her eyes, guilt and remorse twisting in her chest as her throat tightened.
“Y/N...listen, I just-”
“Hyejeong, just leave me alone. Please.”
“No, I need you to-”
“Hyejeong, I don’t want to talk to you! In fact, I am just done with all of this! I’m done!”
“...done?” Hyejeong repeated, her eyes widening and her heart dropping to her stomach as your words began to swirl around your head. The pressure behind her eyes increased, her head beginning to shake as walked towards you, hands reaching out. “W-What do you mean?”
You looked at her with a suddenly exhausted expression, eyes burning with exhaustion and pain, but with a silent resilience.
“I mean I’m done with us. With whatever is with us. I’m done, just done.”
...
The tears just came out of nowhere. Despite the circumstances between the two of you, the two of you made things work, in some kind of twisted way. But this was the first time you mentioned an end to the two of you, the end of whatever kind of ... relief the two of you have with the privacy of one another. And even though she was a very proud woman, she couldn’t stop the tears escaping her eyes from the prospect of the end between the two of you.
“W-Wait, let’s just-”
“No Hyejeong, I’m done.
“Y-Y/N-”
You shook your head, raising your hand to stop Hyejeong from talking as you stood up from your spot on the floor. You wiped at your eyes before taking a deep breath and turning to stare at her.
“I can’t stand being second anymore Hyejeong. I am enough pain as is, and you playing both sides is only making things worse for me. If you aren’t going to choose me, then I am going to choose myself.”
You gave her a hard look before brushing past her, not sparing her another look as you unlocked the roof door and left her behind, left with nothing but her own thoughts, cracked heart, and tear-filled face.

The glory
Ha Do Young x reader
Part 2
Part1:
Following this meeting with Ha Do Young, I purposely bumped into him two or three times. During our discussions, I slipped in the information that the clinic in which I worked specializes in genetic research and analysis. Chatting with this man is entertaining every time, but in order to follow through on Dong Eun's revenge and mine as well, I must pursue our plan.
______________
Today, I was called to school or teacher Dong Eun to check if the children had not been contaminated by rubella, which unfortunately caught one of the little ones.
So I went to the school infirmary to examine the children one by one. During this, I was able to meet little Ye-sol. A cute little girl, but when you know who her mother is, you start to be suspicious. Appearances are very often deceiving and I know that better than anyone.
I had to reassure them about the disease they are all afraid of getting and she was no exception.
"Ma'am, you're sure we're not ill, are you?"
“After the results, I will know more about everyone's condition and what drugs to prescribe okay”
"But my mum says getting sick is ugly and only for the weak. If I'm sick does that mean I'm weak then? And my mum won't love me like she used to?"
Park yeon jin what is this sordid mentality you instill in such a young child
"Getting sick isn't a good thing in itself, but that doesn't mean you're weak or ugly. It happens to everyone at some point. And it's to avoid that that you owe a lot eat fruits and vegetables
What a lie. Even I hate vegetables, but at the time I didn't know what else to say
" Okay "
So I leave it to continue my work and once finished, I transfer the samples to the lab. I should have the results in two to three hours no more.
__________
Ha Do Young pov
I came to pick up my daughter following a call from her school regarding the health of the children. I pace the corridors and live in his class and I knock. Once twice, still no answer, so I decide to enter.
"You have nothing to fear. The children are all in good health"
I did not expect to see these two people together.
"Miss Yu?" I said interrupting them.
"Mr. Ha, what are you doing here?"
"I can return the question to you. I came to pick up my daughter"
" Okay"
"With that, Miss Moon, I'm leaving you. I'm going to the hospital," she said to Miss Moon. She then slips away, leaving us alone
"Ye-sol isn't here. She's in the canteen with her classmates-"
"How do you know Miss Yu?"
"She came at the request of the director to make sure that the children had not been infected with chicken pox like one of their classmates. But you must already know that"
"Yes, I meant personally"
"Why do you think I would know her outside of work?"
"Perhaps because you are trying to destroy my wife?"
"Oh, please. Your wife is the navel of the world"
"From your world here" I say as I leave the room
Y/n pov
After returning to the clinic, I made my report and took my bag to my son Chin-eunji's hospital. My Sunshine . My only support other than Dong Eun. I hurry to walk because his exit time has passed by 10 minutes, he must be wondering where I am.
When I finally arrive, it starts to rain. Fortunately, I always have an umbrella and its raincoat on me. I have to work harder to be able to buy us a car. I see him standing in front of his class
"Chin!"
"Mom" he said running towards me
"How was school today, baby?"
"Yes, it was nice"
"Okay, put on your sweater and raincoat so we can wait for the bus in front of the school"
" Yes mom"
While waiting for the bus, the small downpour began to turn into a storm. Park yeon jin even to predict the weather is not good at you. Anyway, I hope this bus arrives soon. At this time a car parks right at our feet and the driver lowers the window on the passenger side.
"Can I drop you off somewhere?"
" It's nice of you Mr Ha, but my son and I are waiting for the bus"
“Given the storm that is coming, it is not likely to happen”
No, my plans for him must in no way include chin
"I wouldn't want to bother you and make your daughter uncomfortable"
"You don't bother me at all" interrupted Ye-sol.
His father then leaves me a look of contentment. I look at my son who is clinging to my leg and shivering with cold.
"Okay" I get chin up in the back to the side of ye-sol and I get up in the front
" Where are we going ? "
I tell him the address and he starts the car. For a good 10 minutes, the only voices that resonate are those of the children. Ye-sol tries to make conversation with Chin who answers him as best he can. Not that he is snobby, on the contrary, it is very difficult to find his words in front of people he does not know. But I see he's making an effort not to look rude. My little chick.
"It's raining heavily...... Do you like the rain more or the good weather?"
"Wouldn't that be a failed attempt to strike up a conversation?"
"Might be fine. I didn't want to let the kids be the only ones talking."
"Hmm, you just.....I prefer dark, cloudy weather"
"Can I ask you why?"
Because my burn itches less
"It's always good for a little nap"
"I see, and uh, how long have you been, doctor?"
"For three years now"
"And you seem to like it a lot"
"You can't imagine how much. Being able to know what is going on in the human body is fascinating. How the blood circulates, how illness is set up and the healing process, doing the calculations necessary to know what dose the doctor should give for this specific patient and the-oh sorry, I went too far"
"No, don't worry. It's good to see that some people can still be happy talking about a job they've been doing for years."
"I find that your wife is just as much. Every day, she does her job with mice"
" Yes of course......."
"I didn't mean to talk about your married life. Excuse me"
"It's okay, you didn't do it on purpose"
"Yeah, do I sometimes do that when I'm nervous?
"Because you're nervous? Will you make me feel uncomfortable?"
"Oh no, it's quite the opposite. I even think that you have a gift for putting people in trust because since we've been together there's been no awkwardness."
"Glad to hear that," he said, giving me a half-mouse-accompanied look. Y/n think revenge plan not q plan. Let's get out of here. Fast
"Uh, we've arrived, you can stop in front of the building"
Once out of the vehicle with my Son, I lower myself to the height of the car
"Thanks again for your help" I said giving her a smile.
"You're welcome. See you next time Miss Yu" and he left
"Mom, can we go home?"
"Yeah of course honey"

The glory
Ha Do Young x reader
Part 3
Two weeks later
Dong-woon and I left enough clues for Ha Do-yeon's mind to question her child's paternity. Normally he should come today and collect the results. I don't think I'll be there when he comes. I work nights, my shift ends at 8am and I have 30 minutes to drop Chin off at school.
Ha Do Young's point of view
My hands are sweaty and I'm stressed. It's only 6:30 in the morning, but I'm going to the clinic to get the results of this damn test. Find out if Ye-sol is my blood, if my marriage is based on a complete lie. As soon as you arrive, I go to the reception and ask for documents.
“Yes, here are the results of the genetic test, Mr. Thank you for using our services.”
I sat down in the waiting room and decided to open the envelope. I try, but nothing works. My vision is blurry and my hands are shaking. "Excuse me, is there a doctor who can read the results now?" »
"Yes, of course. It's the third door on the right."
When I opened the door, I saw Mr. Yu concentrating on what appeared to be a patient's medical papers.
"I'm sorry to disturb you this early."
“Oh, I'm fine. "What should I do for you?"
"Can you read his results? I'm afraid of misinterpreting them."
"Yes, please sit down."
"These results demonstrate 0% genetic identity between the two individuals."
“………… Thanks, I think I should go..."
Pov pov
Yes but no
he fainted
“Mr Ha, can you hear me?
I have no response. I expected him to be shocked by the news, but not so shocked as to faint. . He should wake up soon, right?
later in the day
It is 10 p.m. when I return to resume work with one of my colleagues. When I left this morning, Mr. Ha couldn't wake up, so I left that to the nurse, and he was very pale, so I asked him to give me an IV. And when I came back to my office, it was still as inert as it was hours ago.
The clinic isn't very busy tonight, so I'm going to see a few patients first. Some get a prescription and leave immediately, while others are kept in a room overnight due to their condition. I will go back to Mr. Ha. I stopped noticing his upper body movements, so I lowered myself to bed level to check for lice. I put my hand on his neck and looked at the clock. Yes, he is breathing quite normally. And at that moment he decided to wake up, put his hands on his neck and looked into mine. From this point of view, it looked like two people about to kiss.
"You're finally awake. I'm starting to worry."
"Why am I here?"
"You came for tests and due to lack of food, I guess you passed out"
He let go of my hand and we both sat down
" What time is it ?"
"11:40 p.m."
He tried to pull the IV out of his hand but I stopped him by putting my hand on it.
"Don't do this, you don't have enough iron and you could fall at any movement"
"You don't understand. I have to fix something at home"
"I know you must be worried about your daughter, but I don't think confronting your wife about it right now is good for your health."
"Because in addition to being a doctor, you are a marriage counselor?" I don't think a single mother knows what to do in this situation!
"Forgive me, I-"
"Okay. Take that needle off if you want so much you hit your face on the next stairs you'll see later. Get out of here" I said as I left the room.
"Miss Yu wait" but there was no time. I slammed the door in his face.
Dong Eun I hope you manage on your side because what I have is rat bowl
I slipped away 2 hours later and found him STILL there, lying staring at the ceiling. Let him do what he wants. I sat in the chair behind the desk, with my back to him, to study the somewhat complicated case of an undiagnosed woman.
Ha Do Young pov
"Miss Yu, I sincerely apologize to you. I should never have talked to you like that, especially since you were trying to help me"
" Hmm"
"And I also apologize for yelling at you. It was anger but I know it shouldn't have been directed at you"
" Hmm "
"You still won't talk to me?"
" Hmm"
"Can I at least ask you a question?"
" Hmm "
"How did you know I took a paternity test?"
"I was wondering what was the cause of your sudden unhealthiness and I got the information from the lab technician"
I say nothing more to collect my ideass. I don't know if I'm angry or sad right now. Well I blame yeon jin for lying to me but I don't know. From the beginning I suspected an extra marital relationship but I didn't dwell on it more than that. After all she fit the but gender standard and my mother had happily given her approval to the wedding announcement so I thought it was already good enough to live out the rest of my life. But I was seriously mistaken.
"What...what would you do if it was you in this situation?"
"I will do everything to keep my child. If eventually I still love him so much"
" But how to do it ?"
"It's simple. I turn his brain over to him in order to acquire proof of any mental instability of my spouse and the other in case he wants to recover the child following the divorce. But after that it's not that the opinion of a mother who raises her child alone does not take it into account "
"Sorry again for-"
" Excuse rejected. What do you think? Raising a child alone is easy? I have no one to trust my son to when I'm not around. I'm carrying my child just to have enough money to give him what he deserves. So I don't allow anyone to judge me. Is that clear?" She is now facing me speaking. I decide to get up to talk to him
"I can't say otherwise. I see how hard you are working for both of you and my words were very inappropriate. I don't know if you could forgive me"
"I think you'd better leave if you feel up to it"
" All right." I gather my things and get ready to leave. " Bye"
After leaving the hospital at dawn, I just went home to change. Ye-sol and her mother are still sleeping. It's better this way, I don't know how it's going to end if we talk. I am working at the moment. I just finished one and I'm so tired. I have too many thoughts swirling around in my head. But I don't want to think about anything. I just want to have my daughter with me, even if she's not really mine.
And this conversation with Ms. Yu ohhh. I hate this tension that has set in. I can understand his reaction to my comment. Basically, I always avoid unnecessary arguments, especially with those around me, so this situation makes me sad.
I decide to pick up Ye-sol from her school to spend some time with her and see if I still love her as much as before. The road from the company to the elementary school passed by the path of Ms. Yu's son Chin, I looked around not expecting to see anything special except for the little one sitting under the tree in front of the school. But what can he be doing at this hour outside. I got out of the car to go see him but noticed a few other kids around him.
"See, I told you. No one will come looking for him because he doesn't have a father."
“Bouu has a little chin without a father bouuu” “yes a bastard”
"Fuck bastards!" They screamed in their hearts but upon noticing me they ran away.
Chin was lying on the ground, his back to me. Looks like they pushed him. He tries not to cry, it shows. I leaned over to him and started a discussion with him.
“Did you hurt my little one?
"No...... Just a little crack on the knee"
"Okay, and can you tell me what you do outside of school?"
"The teacher has to go there urgently. The director called all the parents to come and take us home but mum didn't answer"
"but why aren't you in the yard, safe."
"It's them...... They like to bother me and hurt me. And I don't want to wait with them"
" OK. Uhh how about I take you to see your mom?
"You would do that?"
"Of course. I just need to take my daughter and go. Do you trust me?"
"No, But I Want to See Mom"
"so let's go see her"
I took her hand, bandaged her knee and we were on our way. Once at the hospital, I drove two toddlers across the street. Upon arriving, he knocked on the door and we heard a voice
"Yes who is it?"
"Hello, it's me momma" he says running to throw himself on the mother who has just caught up with him
"Yes and us too" ye-sol greeted her from inside the room
“Hey kids, what are you doing here? Shouldn't you be in class? "
"Madam must have come home early"
"My father came to get me"
"And he scratched his knee" I said
"Pardon ?"
Then she examined his wound, disinfected it and put a bandage on it. Meanwhile, ye-sol fetches snacks from the vending machine further away.
"How did you do that? Honey"
"Other kids push me"
"And why are they doing this?"
"He just likes to annoy me. It's nothing serious, momma."
"No, from what I could see, it's not just adispute. This is harassment", I said
"And maybe you know why he harassed you?" He immediately bowed to his mother's words, as if he had been mistaken.
"Chin answers mom" she told him, she gently grabbed his shoulder "my chick?"
"........They say I'm a bastard......That I don't have a father and that's why I'm going to end my life in school. I'm sorry mom, I know this is wrong. Anyway, I only need you” and he hugs her.
"You don't have to apologize for that. It's not your fault"
Then Ye-sol came back and offered to take the kids to lunch and bring her son back around the afternoon. She agreed and we left her alone. She really needs it.

Y/N
Heaven never appeared to be on my side since I was born. My prayers were never answered. I dreaded waking up everyday when I was in highschool. You see, I never asked for any of this. I simply wished to lead a normal life. Is that too much to ask for?
My parents divorced when I was seven years old. My mother chose to marry a wealthy man and take my sister with her. While I were to stay with my alcoholic father. Even though I shared the same roof with him, I always felt lonely. He was always spending all of my money on more alcohol. Luckily he never abused me. I had to take care of him. Each and everyday became more difficult for me. Leaving with my mother would have been a very different experience. I'm curious of what made her change her mind. She always gave me the same reason for leaving me with my dad.
“Someone has to stay behind to look after him.” She did send us money from her husband’s account to cover up my father’s medication. That’s how we kept in contact with each other. The day she left us was the last time I saw her and my sister. My mother never bothered to make a call nor visit us, or even check on us. I figured she left us for her own good.
However, I was quite close to my sister. Even our parents' divorce couldn't properly separate us. We used to write letters to one another every day since I couldn’t afford a cell-phone for myself. I kept all her letters in a box till this day.
Living like this in Semyeong never really bothered me. Taking care of my dad all by myself was quite difficult if I say, but other than that, I was fine. Until one day, I was walking on the school grounds to get to the cafeteria, when I heard a horrifying  scream coming from the gym. There were quite many students casually walking near the place. How come nobody heard that?
Now that I even think about it, I realize I should have exercised caution while being curious. I decided to check out the issue. And that’s when everything started.
I was peeking through the door when I noticed a group of four students crowding near the stage. I could here some laughs when I noticed a girl with straight long hair coming out of the crowd. That’s when I saw her for the first time.
Moon Dong-Eun. Both her hands were tightly held by two more students, Son Myeong-Oh and Choi Hye-Jeong, while Lee Sa-Ra was holding Yeon-jin’s hair curling iron.
“Hey!”
I lost my balance and fell on my back. It was a guy holding a basketball and stood right over me.
“Oh come on do I look that bad?” He asked as he grabbed me by my hair.
“NO, NO, NO, PLEASE NO!! HELP!! ” I yelled for help and not one student wandering outside the gym came for my help.
“Yeah you’re fucking ugly Jae-joon, no wonder why she fell when she saw you.” That was Lee Sa-ra. She held a cigarette in her mouth while curling Yeon-jin’s hair.
He dragged me near the place where Moon Dong-Eun was lying. I noticed a burn on her right arm that resembled the shape of the curling iron. I had to get away from this place. I have to call the police.
I tried to free myself from his grasp but he dragged me back to the same place where Dong-Eun was. She was almost unconscious when I called out for her.
“Call her all you want. Neither can she help you, nor can anyone else.” Hye-Jeong let out a laugh when she dangled the keys in front of me.
“Oh look! Dong-eun has a friend now,” said Yeon-jin with a pout on her face.”Isn’t that adorable?” She said as she cupped my face with her hands.
“What’s your name?” she asked me while she looked down at my legs.
“She asked you a fucking question, you bitch,” asked Jae-joon who still held me by my hair with a painful grip.
“Well what does it say on her nametag?” said Yeon-jin as she opens the pin of the tag from my shirt. “Y/N. What a pretty name, and such pretty legs,” she took a few steps back to take a look at my legs again. “I wonder how my cigarettes would look on them.”
“Look, please, I swear I wont tell anybody, please let me go, I have to go back, I have to take care of my dad, he is not doing well. Please let me go” I started crying because I knew, I have no way out.
“Well the show hasn’t even started yet and you already want to go back?” said Yeon-Jin. She started backing away from me when she raised her thumb at me and then all of them started grabbing me at the edge of the stage. Myeong-oh and Hye-jeong grabbed me by my arms. I started panicking when I saw Sa-ra walking towards me with three burnt cigarettes together.
“NO PLEASE NO!!”
She shushed me with her finger on my lips. “This is high quality weed. Nobody can say no to these babies,” She said as she pointed the cigarettes towards me. She took a puff out of the three cigarettes together and grabbed me by my thighs. Before I even knew it, she pressed those together on my thighs.
My scream echoed on the walls of the gym. I tried flinging my legs in the air but she held them with a firm grip.
After she was done with my left leg, she went on to press them on my right one.
My screams became more and more distorted as I choked on my tears. My lungs, my throat, my legs, everything hurt.
“Oh my god, this bitch is fucking loud. Can someone shut her up?” said Yeon-jin.
“On it,” said Jae-joon. He threw the basketball away he was playing with a while ago and put his hand inside his pocket to take out a small bottle eye drops. He pressed a few drops on his eyes and put it back inside. I remember that it was that day he brutally beat up another guy who made fun of his colorblindness. His knuckles were still red from that guy’s blood.
“Imagine if she ever screamed my name,” said Jae-joon with a smirk on his face as he threw the ball away.
"Can you just shut the fuck up and shut her up?"
He grabbed my waist firmly and put his palm over my mouth tight shut.
Sa-ra continued pressing the cigarettes on my skin. My muffled screams died down eventually when I started feeling numb. This went on for quite long as I remember.
“Yeah that’ll do.”
Sa-ra removes the cigarettes from my thighs and lets go of my legs. I slid down the table and dropped to the floor. The stinging pain in my legs grew worser.
“She’s already out? Damn she’s weak as fuck,” Yeon-jin said as she nudged with her shoes on my thighs.
“Why did you do this to me? What harm did I ever do to you people?” I muttered.
“Because bitch if we didn’t, you would have told someone about us. Even though nobody even gives a shit about what we do. Nobody will ever believe you, and nobody will ever come to save your day” Yeon-jin said in a sing-song voice and the others laughed as she stood towered over me.
“What a whore,” said Myeong-oh. He kicked me at the back as I winced from the pain.
“Hey let’s go to the karaoke bar, it’s opened by now,” said Hye-jeong.
“Bye hoes,” Sa-ra waved as she walked away with others.
I laid there, barely conscious. My tears didn’t stop and my eyes were stinging. The world grew blurry around me. The burning pain, the bruises, the wounds, my head, the ringing in my ears, everything felt worse. I couldn’t even move. Before I knew anything else, I passed out on the gym floor.
*
I wiped the steam off my mirror as I stood naked in front of it. Some of the burnt skin on my thighs grew pinkish red over the years.
I wore some clothes on and started drying my hair. Min-hee is fast asleep in her room. I collected all the dishes from the table and put them in the sink. It’s 11.45 p.m. My sleep can wait.
I turned my phone on and opened Facebook. I searched up Moon Dong-Eun. I found a profile under the same name but there weren’t any pictures. I wonder if it’s really hers.
I was staring at her profile. Should I search them up as well? I mean, I have to if I want to change my mind.
I searched up Yeon-jin’s profile first. She worked as a weather forecaster at a news channel and married the CEO of Jaepyeong Construction in Semyeong, Ha Do-yeong. She had a child named Ha Ye-sol, same age as Min-hee.
Jeon Jae-joon is a wealthy heir to a country club and helped up scaling a clothing boutique named Siesta.
        Lee Sa-ra became an artist.
Choi Hye-jeong works as a flight attendant.
For Son Myeong-oh, I couldn’t gather much information about him except maybe he works for Jeon Jae-joon.
This much was quite enough for me. I put my phone down on the table and rested my head on my arms. I kept staring at the ceiling. The yellow light from the street outside illuminated my room. I looked over at Min-hee, she’s fast asleep.
I took my phone and went over to the common balcony. I opened up my call logs on my phone as I closed the door behind me to make sure Min-hee doesn’t wake up. At the top of my call logs displayed Moon Dong-eun’s name. I almost made the call  when I paused.
Wait, no. Am I doing the right thing?
I didn’t press on her name yet. Instead, I stretched back by holding on the railings and looked over at the city before me. Seoul looks beautiful especially at night. The city lights flickered like the stars in the sky. All the quietness up here and the distant hustle of the people and traffic made me calm.
I closed my eyes and let out my breath. I looked back at my phone and pressed her name. I pressed the phone against my ear. After a few rings at my end, ”Hello Moon Dong-Eun? It’s me,  Y/N.”

Y/N
“Y/N DID YOU MESS UP YOUR CUSTOMER’S ORDER AGAIN?” My manager yelled.
“I’m sorry, I’ll make sure this doesn’t happen again,” I apologise as I bow in front of him, followed by a sharp pain of his slap right across my face. Gasps and whispers echoed in the room.
“Fifth time this month. Do you get what I'm saying? FIFTH TIME THIS MONTH!!! Am firing you next time you do this again. YOU HEAR ME?”
“Yes sir.”
He begins to walk away as I retreat back to clean the counter.
"Honey, you should go easier on her," The manager's wife whispered.
"Look, we are the only ones properly running this restaurant and we barely get any customers. This is the least i can do to atleast get more people.”
"Don't you think he's being too hard on her? She barely got a proper job after her graduation. He should be grateful that she even chose to work here," whispered one of my co-workers.
"I don't know. I heard she ran away from her house. We don't even have any information about her family. Don't you think it's all too suspicious?"
"Is Min-Hee really even her niece? Or is that a child she had out of wedlock?"
And so all the whispers followed. So many rumours yet none of those ever bothered me.
My shift is almost over.
I’ve been working at a fast food restaurant in Seoul for two years now. I live in an apartment few blocks away with Min-Hee, my four year old niece. Her parents were killed in an accident two years ago. Her mother, who was also my sister, had wished for me to take Min-Hee into custody. Quite many people were against this idea since I was financially unstable to raise her on my own. Today, I can say am financially stable enough to get Min-Hee into a school. The restaurant employees, including myself, are not well compensated. Payment of bills and rent is quite difficult for all of us. The money I make from my job was enough for me to manage a roof over our heads. Even though I never wanted to live like this, I am still grateful of the fact that I no longer live in Semyeong.
I finish my shift by depositing the rubbish outside in the restaurant's back yard. I was thinking of buying some noodles for Min-Hee on the way home when I notice a shadowy figure standing at the end of the street.
I didn't give it much thought until the person started walking towards me. Nobody else was on the street except me, and our restaurant had just been closed by one of my coworkers. It was 9:45 p.m. I don’t know where to go. I don’t have anything to protect myself with.
The faint light in the street helped me figure out the person’s appearance. The individual had their hair tied back as a low ponytail and wore a long grayish coat along with long loose pants. As the individual came more nearer, I could finally see the face. It’s a woman.
As she eventually approached me, I could finally recognize her. I felt chills running down my body when she got more closer. I remember who she is.
Moon Dong-Eun. After so many years. I was quite curious to what happened to her after she dropped out. The Moon Dong-Eun I remembered from high school feels like an entirely different person than the one standing right in front of me. But what the fuck is she doing here? How and why did she find me?
“It’s been quite a long time. How are you doing y/n?”
I didn’t say anything at first.
“You can say am doing fine I guess. I have a job now and…." I paused. I decided to stop blabbering and cut straight to the chase. "What are you doing here? How the hell did you even find me?”
“I will explain that later. I need your favour.”
“Favour?” I crossed my arms as I said so.
“Yes. I’ve been wanting to do this for quite many years now. I can even pay you if you want.”
“Pay me?" That's strange. "Okay. What is it that you need from me?” I ask hesitantly.
She doesn't say anything and looks around. Is she trying to look out for someone?
“I need you to go back to Semyeong.”
My arms dropped to my sides. The silence grew louder between us. I stood right there in disbelief. No, I cant go back there. Not when I have Min-Hee now, no. I worked hard to get away from that godforsaken place. No. I cant go back there.
“Sorry I cant. I cant just go back to Semyeong just because you asked me to. Am not going back even if you pay me. Since you’ve been able to find out where I live, you might already know that I have my niece to take care of. Sorry. Just find someone else.” I raise my hands as I try to dismiss our conversation and retreat away from her.
“I understand your reason. But don’t you think they're living their lives quite easily, after knowing what they’ve done to you? What they’ve done to us? Don’t you want revenge too-”
“Am sorry. I already told you, I cant go back there. I can barely afford anything these days, let alone go back to the hell I escaped from. Sorry, I wont help you.” I nod my head as I gather my things.
“It’s 10 pm. I have to get back.” I say after a pause. I start walking towards my apartment. Min-Hee is waiting for me.
“Yoon So-Hee was murdered.”
I stop dead in my tracks. Yoon So-Hee? Oh I remember her so well. Someone like us. Yoon So-Hee. She disappeared one day out of nowhere. Or so I was told. Nobody was able to find out what happened to her. Yoon So-Hee.
“What?” I turned around to face her.
She shows me a picture of a dull yellowish name tag. On it was carved in black “Park Yeon-Jin”. My mouth went completely dry. Yeon-Jin? She is behind the disappearance of So-Hee? How did Dong-Eun find that out?
“I mailed this name tag to the police right after I dropped out, hoping it would work, I was pretty naïve back then.”
“If you gave that to the police, how do you have the picture with you then?”
“I have my sources, which I can’t tell you yet.”
I keep staring at the name tag, did she really murder her? She willingly went that far to kill someone for her pride?
“After Yoon So-Hee’s disappearance, the police found a body of a girl in her teens with her skull cracked. Maybe she had few of her ribs broken as well. The body was found near the abandoned building of our school. Apparently, they did find a pink lighter at the roof of the building and never informed anyone outside their own people, but because of the snow, they couldn’t trace who it belonged to. The sweater she wore was burned too.”
All this information was just a lot for me take in. I just couldn’t say anything.
Dong-Eun takes my phone out of my hand and dials some random digits on it. She saves the number under her name. I need to put on a phone password.
“Call me if you ever change your mind. I’ll see you later.”
I stood there completely motionless as she walks away to the end of the street. She gets into her car and drives past me, didn’t even bother to look at me. What did she get herself into? How the hell did she manage to get hands on a confidential evidence? What will be her next move? She did mention she had some help in accessing the name tag. Then who’s helping her? Are they even reliable?
The ring of my phone interrupts my chain of thoughts. It’s Min-Hee calling from a telephone number.
“When are you coming home?”
“Almost there. Just crossing the street.”
“Doesn’t your shift end at 9.30?”
“Yeah I was just caught up with some stuff. Do we have food at home?”
“Oh yeah we have the leftovers from today’s lunch.”
“Oh that’s great. I’ll be right home.”
“Okay.”
I slide my phone inside my pocket as I walk up the stairs. Moon Dong-Eun. What the hell are you playing at?
I walk into my apartment. I haven’t stopped thinking about what Dong-Eun told me. She comes out of nowhere, tracks me down, finds out where I live and where I work, and decides to tell me about an information I am in no liberty to talk about to anyone. Are there more people who know about this? Or is it just me? What the hell do I do now?

Moon Dong-eun
I drove back to Semyeong after meeting with Y/N. I had to get some of the things done before I go back to Seoul to tutor her niece. I parked my car in the parking lot where Hyeon-nam, an assistant I hired, was supposed to meet me.
Months ago, before I met Y/N, I was outside the Semyeong Foundation’s chairman’s house where I was busy rummaging through his garbage to find some disposed documents I needed to get into the Semyeong Elementary School, that’s when I met Hyeon-nam. She told me that she worked for the chairman and that, she threatened me she will report me to him if I didn’t give her those documents back, but soon that idea was dismissed. Instead, we made a deal. In exchange of her helping me with my plans, I am to kill her abusive husband.
This is where I found the opportunity to make her my assistant. Ever since then, she’s been doing each and every task perfectly without getting caught. We both decided to meet at an empty parking lot at the end of the day, only to not be suspected. She would get inside my car and leave behind some documents and photographs I order her to gather. She is the reason I was able to apply for the homeroom teacher’s job.
Few weeks after meeting her, I told her to drive to Seoul and get me some info on Y/N. I always had my mind made up to execute my plans alone. No, am not scared of them. But as more number of people I get by my side, the easier it would be for me.
Since she couldn’t afford a car for herself, I had a black sedan bought under my name and let her borrow it. Before doing so, she took driving lessons for a month. After getting her license, she tracked down the chairman and got me all the information I needed. She is exceptionally good at her job, most probably loyal too.
“But what about the toll booths? Won’t they charge me?”
“Don’t worry, this car is under my name. And anyways I have a tag attached to the windscreen, so it will get paid easily and you have nothing to worry about,” I point at the top right corner of the screen.
        “Alright ma'am.”
“Make sure you get all the proper information and take necessary pictures. I need to know everything, I mean everything. The place where she lives, the job she works at, whether she lives alone, everything.”
        “Yes ma'am.”
I had a picture of Y/N from when we both studied at the Sung-han High school. As far as I remember, both of us left the school mid-year. She had the advantage of using her step-father’s money to change schools mid-year, while I had to dropout. Before she encountered those leeches, she had quite many friends, and so did I, but I was closest to Gyeong-ran. We were inseparable, until I became a target to them. Ever since then, she didn’t even bother to take a stand for me, help me, nor even look at me. She behaved as if I didn’t even exist. It was the same for Y/N as well. In fact, no students nor teachers helped us out. Except, we had a school nurse who really looked out for us. She even took pictures of our injuries to use it against the person who was behind this (she didn’t know it was Yeon-jin back then). Unfortunately, she left the school after she found out it was her. On the bright side, I didn’t lose those pictures. I have plans to use these against them in the future.
Hyeon-nam got back few days after I sent her to Seoul. I told her I would take care of her husband Seok-jae and her daughter Sun-a while she was away with the excuse that the chairman sent her to Seoul for a few days for some work in order to get paid more. They undoubtedly got easily convinced. At first, she was scared that he might abuse her daughter since she would be away for a few days. I managed that as well as I sent quite a lot of money to Seok-jae through Sun-A to get him more occupied with gambling. With that, he didn’t even bother to touch Sun-A. I am still waiting for the right time to get rid of him from their lives forever.
“I got everything you asked for,” she said as she hands out a transparent file to me. Few of the contents fall onto my lap from the folder. I raise my hand to halt her from collecting them.
“That’s the apartment she lives in,” she points out to the picture I was holding. “And this is a fast food restaurant where she works,” she hands me out another photo. “I also found that to afford her university funds, she also did a babysitting job few years ago.”
“Which university did she go to?”
“The Seoul Womens’ University. She was majoring in Data Science.”
“Wait, she did a job before working at the fast food restaurant for her college funds? Didn’t her mother send her the money though?”
“Yes, because her mom thought she was grown up enough to afford her own bills so that’s why, she stopped depositing money into her account.”
“Also why couldn’t she afford a cell-phone for herself when she was still at school? I mean, her mother didn’t stop sending her the money back then?”
“Her mother simply said not to buy herself any phones, because if she did, she would stop depositing her any necessary amount Y/N might have needed.”
“They lived separately yet controlled her life, told her to do what she was told, classic parenting,” I said.
“You’re saying that she majored in data science. We have quite many reputable companies in South Korea that hire students who major in this. Then how come she began working in a fast food restaurant?”
“Well, the university she graduated from isn’t very well known. And that’s why, companies rarely recruit anyone from there.”
“I see,” I nod my head in agreement.
“Also there’s nothing really comfy about the apartment she lives in, nor the job she works at,” I said after I handed over the pictures to her. “Did you get to know anything about the school Min-hee attends?”
“Nothing much, it’s just that it’s very cheap,” she hands out an advertisement pamphlet of that school. “It’s a nursery school after all, so I couldn’t find much about it.”
“Okay,” I place the pamphlet on the dashboard.
I released the seatbelt and it slid up behind me. I looked out at the mist outside as it made the whole parking lot partially visible. The streetlights lip up the mist like a halo as if some smoke passed through it. Far out beyond the highways, I could see the glowing blue Jaepyeong Construction logo at the top of the building.
“Alright then, you’ve done enough as for now. Make a few copies and give them to me the next time we meet.”
“Why can’t I mail these to you-“
“No. Someone might find out about us. So just do as I say.”
        “Alright. Good night ma'am.”
        “Drive off before I leave.”
I got out of her car to step outside and close the door behind me as I walk towards my car. As I get in, Hyeon-nam turns off the light inside and drives off. I turn the key in my ignition and the headlights turn on to make a bright glow on the wall opposite to my car.
I steer my car towards the exit and enter the highway. Am not going home yet. I will visit Y/N after a few days. I have another job to do for now. I drive to the place where elders play a board game called Go. Quite an interesting game. One of my acquaintances taught me how to play it while I was still enrolled in Euicheon. It’s a game of who occupies the largest territory, wins the game.
The place where the elders gather to play Go is where Ha Do-Yeong goes to after finishing his work. Go seems like a favorite game of his. That’s where am going to. My plan is to intrigue him through my Go skills and make him fall right into my trap. He’s the key who will lead me to Yeon-jin, his beloved wife, a monster.

trigger warnings: lots of swearing, bullying, murder, gore, depression, abuse, mature content, violence, sexual themes.

Y/N
I entered a café in the next morning. I approached a waiter and asked for a reservation under Moon Dong-eun’s name. He lead me upstairs and pointed towards a table at the far corner where Dong-eun was already seated.
I went up to her and pulled out a chair for myself and sat in front of her. A bunch of few unknown documents and folders were kept on the table that I believe belongs to Dong-eun’s.
        “Did you order anything yet?”
“Yeah. I ordered us some gimbap,” she lightly rapped her fingers on the files.
        “What are these files?”
“Some information you will be needing. Won’t be showing you all of them yet.”
“Alright. So, what do you have to tell me?”
She takes out an unfilled form from one of the beige colored files and hands it out to me.
“What’s this?” I ask as I wave the piece of paper in front of me.
“It’s an application form of Semyeong Elementary School. It’s for your niece.”
I look back at the form, there it was. Written in bold, Semyeong Elementary School.
“Wait, so Min-hee will join this school next year?”
        “Yes.”
        “But why this school particularly?”
“Because Ye-sol is joining this school too.”
I lifted my face from the paper and looked up at her. Yet another familiar silence between us.
“I thought I specifically told you last night that we will not involve Min-hee into our plans. No matter what,” I clench my fist, almost crumpling the paper.
“We wont. Its just that if your niece and Ye-sol grow close to each other as friends, then it would be easier for you to get a hold of Yeon-jin.”
I sit back on my chair and relax my fingers. “Yeah that can work I guess.”
“It will. I’m applying for a homeroom teacher’s job for Ye-sol and Min-hee’s class when the school starts. I want to make it look more coincidental. Otherwise it will be too suspicious. Even though I want to make it obvious to Yeon-jin after she manages to find out about us,” she crosses her arms and puts them on the table.
        “I see.”
The waiter arrives with two plates of gimbap and pours water into our glasses. He bows and departs after doing so.
“Also, I need to show you a picture,” she puts down her chopsticks and takes a picture out of those files.
“What is it?” I ask as I put a gimbap inside my mouth. She hands me the picture as I continue eating my food.
“It’s a convenience store right across the school gates. Students tend to go there after their dismissal.”
        “So what about it?”
“You will work here from next year Y/N.”
I looked back at the picture she gave me. The convenience store seems pretty nice. I noticed an old lady behind the cashier counter.
“Does she work there?” I point towards her.
“Yes. In fact, she’s the manager of that store. She’s a pretty nice lady, so you have nothing to worry about.”
“That’s great,” I said and I put the picture inside my satchel. “Do you have anything else to give?”
“Yeah.” She reopened the beige folder and handed me a bunch of photographs.
I surfed through the pictures and noticed that these were taken inside a vacant apartment. It was quite bigger than the one I lived in. There weren’t any extra rooms but it was still pretty spacious. It had a small separate balcony as well.
“I like this one,” I tapped on the photographs with my index finger. “Am I going to live here with my niece?”
“Correct. Also, to buy some furniture and TV for the apartment, there’s a shop that sell second-hand appliances few blocks away from the building you will be staying at.”
“This is, really thoughtful of you, Moon Dong-eun,” I take a sip of water from my glass. “But why are you doing this for me?”
“This is the least I can do for you. Not gonna lie, I intended to do this to make you agree for going back to Semyeong.”
“Well am not mad either. Because seriously, who else on earth would even care enough to do this much for us?”
She didn’t bother responding to that and scratched her chin instead. I looked out the window opposite to us.
“What about you? What did you do after dropping out?”
She sighed and relaxed back on her chair as she put her chopsticks down.
“I worked at the Sungwu Textiles Factory and at a restaurant. I managed to work two jobs simultaneously. Also at the same time, I studied for my high school GED. After my successful qualification, I got into Euicheon University of Education. I studied there for few more years for advanced education. To financially support myself, I’ve been busy tutoring a lot of my students. Even while doing this, I occupied myself in tracking those leeches as well. Each and every steps they took, places they visited, people they met, the jobs they did, none of them was left unchecked. So yeah, I was busy, if that’s what you’re asking.”
I was resting my head over my palm, trying to process all the things she just said. Leeches, I kind of liked that word. “Wow. This definitely took you a lot many years.”
“Yeah, it did, it was quite a journey after all.”
We paused from all the conversation for a while. I took out a tissue from the bunch and gently pressed it on my lips. I put the chopsticks together on my plate as I pulled my chair from behind to get up.
“Alright then, see you later,” I say as I turn around to leave when Dong-eun stops me.
“Wait. I was thinking if you could bring Min-hee to this café every evening?”
        “What? Why?”
“I want to tutor her. Before you say anything about money, I don’t need you to pay me. I just want to teach her enough to get her into the elementary school easily.”
I put my hands inside my pockets and purse my lips.
        “Fine. At what time?”
“From next Monday, 7 p.m. sharp. I will teach her everyday for one hour, and I’ll buy the necessary books so you don’t have to.”
“Okay,” I say as I turn around to pull the glass doors and leave.
I started walking towards the restaurant I work at. The weather was quite gloomy, maybe because of the oncoming rains. I passed by the building I live in and a few other shabby looking houses. After I reach there, I get to my lockers and pull out my apron and tie it around my waist, and so I began cleaning the counters and arrange the plates accordingly.
“Few more months Y/N, then you don’t have to work at this shitty restaurant ever again.”
